group Sniace has agreed to seek liquidation with the courts for itself and its subsidiaries Celltech and Viscocel given the impossibility of meeting the payments stipulated in its creditors’ agreement Sniace’s Board of Directors has taken a variety of decisions which had resulted in the current negotiations with several industrial investors and the renegotiation of the group’s bankruptcy debt with creditors The measures were aimed at restructuring Sniace’s assets and financial situation as well as the implementation of the company’s investment plans several issues have had an impact on Sniace including the dramatic drop in dissolving cellulose prices viscose fiber prices and the sale price of electricity It was also hit by Cogen’s decision to interrupt the supply of gas to its cogeneration plant This was ahead of the imminent introduction of the new remuneration model for electricity production included in the January 9 2020 Ministerial Order proposal by the Ministry of Ecological Transition Sniace’s President Gema Díaz Real has flagged that the decree on cogeneration “has undone some very intense years of transformation within a company” with “many plans for the future.” She said they were at a “very exciting” stage due to new projects such as the manufacturing of biodegradable products These situations have discouraged interest on the part of investors and have truncated the measures underway to achieve Sniace’s financial consolidation According to calculations made by the company the decree would have an annual impact on Sniace’s accounts of 45 million euros This would be in addition to the millions of euros in circulation which it would need to have available now in order to meet the payments related to its bankruptcy process begun in 2016 Sniace’s factory in Torrelavega (Santander) initiated the progressive production interruption process at its Viscocel plant while the pulp mill has begun the process this Monday The company’s Works Council will also meet they did so with an utterly commanding performance It's the tenth time in a row that Barça have been crowned winners of this trophy but Torrelavega refused to give in too soon and even with Dika Mem more plugged in than ever and the Catalans charging full steam ahead to +7 the opposition still managed to close the gap back to four points They were determined that this wasn't just going to be a Barça monologue Barça eventually started turning the screw they finally led by double figures and that was the game as good as decided and by this stage it was just a case of counting down the minutes to the title celebrations It was a very special moment for captain Dika Mem who has had such an awful week following the death of one of his sisters and he had only rejoined the team on Friday It must have been so difficult for him to switch his mind back to playing handball and posted a brilliant performance to dedicate to her memory it was also a special moment for Luís Frade who had flown back to Barcelona on Saturday to be there for the birth of his first child The Copa del Rey can be added to the Supercopa de Catalunya Copa de España and Liga Plenitude in what has been a triumphant season Size Another win for FC Barcelona as they overcame BM Torrelavega 41-24 at the Palau Blaugrana to round off an excellent week after the win over Magdeburg in Europe just days before. An excellent second half performance formed the basis of the victory for Carlos Ortega's team with Richardson scoring seven goals and Blaz Janc six. Barça were put to the test defensively early in the game but Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas pulled three great saves to keep the blaugranes ahead at 7-2.  Nevertheless, Torrelavega came back at the blaugranes after 16 minutes the deficit was cut to 9-8. The quality of Richardson and young Petar Cikusa came to the fore and a series of counter attacks allowed Barça to take a 22-15 lead at half time.  In the second half was when the blaugranes really pressed home their advantage. Hampus Wanne added his quality after the restart and the pace was lifted as Barça surged ahead. Defensively, Carlos Ortega's side were dominant in the second period, conceding just five goals in the opening 20 minutes to set up a comfortable win in the league. The blaugranes are back in action on Thursday with game against Porto in the Champions League.  Barça: Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas (1), Pol Valera (3), Jonathan Carlsbogard (1), Jaime Gallego (1), Emil Nielsen (-), Aitor Ariño (5), Hampus Wanne (5), Blaz Janc (6), Tim N'Guessan (3), Aleix Gómez (2), Thiagus Petrus (-), Djordje Cikusa (5), Haniel Langaro (1), Melvyn Richardson (7), Petar Cikusa (1) and Javi Rodríguez (-) Bathco BM Torrelavega: Jokin Aja (4), Alonso Moreno (5), Álex Rubiño (3), Carlos Gómez (2), Carlos Calle (-), Borja Lombilla (0), Isidoro Martínez (1), Pablo Paredes (4), Facundo Cangiani (2), Marko Jurjovic (2), Oswaldo Maestro Dos Santos (-), Mikolaj Czaplinski (1), Mile Miluskovic and Diego Gándara (-). The Liga Asobal leaders aren’t letting off and showed their superiority against Bathco Torrelavega with a 41-28 win, the thirteenth in as many games, to get off to the right start in a week that brings three fixtures. The game suspended from week six because of the Super Globe didn’t look like it was going to have much story when Barça flew off to an 8-2 lead, but the visitors managed to regroup and had got it back to 17-14 by the break. But when a splendorous Dika Mem, the Catalans soon responded and at +10 they had the game in the bag. There are just two days before the game with Oporto and then on Sunday they’ll travel to Unicaja Banco Sinfín. The handball team had no trouble picking up another win this Saturday, this time by 20 goals in Torrelavega, the second of six domestic fixtures before the return of the EHF Champions League. That's 22 wins in 22 games in the domestic championship for this unstoppable team. Following a tight series of opening exchanges, a 5-1 streak for Barça set the tonic for the rest of the game, and once Barça had their feet on the gas, there was no way back for the home side. The real goal flurry came towards the end, when the Catalans managed to double what was already a massive lead of eight points Next up is Atlético Valladolid at the Palau Blaugrana. TORRELAVEGA (Spain) - Being the lowest ranked team in the entire FIBA AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers process is fuelling Equatorial Guinea to prove doubters wrong. So much so that Equatorial Guinean forward Walter Jr. Cabral revealed to FIBA.basketball that the team can't wait to resume their Group C qualifiers campaign next month in Yaounde, in the very city where they began their AfroBasket journey in February 2020. The goal, Cabral says, is to build on their 82-75 win over Guinea, which leaves Equatorial Guinea in third place of the group.  "The whole team is really motivated to get started and try to make history for our country. We have never been in this position before, and this gives us extra motivation," said Cabral, who led his team with team-highs 18 points and seven rebounds per game.  Going up against Group C leaders Cote d'Ivoire has proven challenging because "They were the toughest team to play against in the first round," Cabral added. "Cameroon is a good team but Cote d'Ivoire is for sure the toughest team in our group because they have two good players for each position, they have a deep bench, and are well-coached." According to the latest FIBA World Ranking presented by Nike, updated last month, Equatorial Guinea rank No.26 in Africa (134 in the world), no other FIBA AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers team ranks as low. "We are mentally prepared and the team is ready to prove that we are as good as any other team," Cabral pointed out. "We missed some important pieces in February, which proved tough for us, but if all goes according to plan, we are going to have a few new players to fill in the gaps next month," the 25-year-old noted.  In order to qualify to their first-ever African Championship, Equatorial Guinea need to finish third in their group or, in the last resort, become the best fourth-placed team, depending on the outcome of Group D, which includes AfroBasket 2021 hosts Rwanda.  "We are going to be ready and better prepared this time around," the 6ft 6in (1.99m) explained. The man who currently plays for Grupo Alegra Cantabria in Spain's LEB Plata, continued: "We are one of the few Equatorial Guinea national teams in activity. People back home are really excited about our Qualifiers campaign, they are supportive, we can't let them down. We created a team Whatsup group, where we keep each other motivated. Cabral went on saying that back in February they didn't really know much about what to expect. "Now we know what qualifying for the AfroBasket requires."
