before moving to the UK where he enjoyed roles including director of conference and banqueting at the Landmark Hotel in London and director of food & beverage at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford

Julio Tudela: «We turn healthcare workers into executioners»
The director of the Bioethics Observatory has analysed the increase in requests for euthanasia in 2024: «70,000 patients die with severe
Spain registered a total of 766 requests for euthanasia in 2023
which is 24% more than in the previous year
The fear of suffering in the final stage of our lives or the deficit in palliative services could be behind these figures
This issue has been addressed in ‘Ecclesia al día‘ with the director of the Bioethics Observatory of the Catholic University of Valencia
who considers that requests for euthanasia are due to “an anthropological problem that does not allow the person to face suffering”
but in turn could be explained by the lack of a health response for “patients who have chronic suffering”
Tudela has provided a very revealing and terrifying fact
and that is that in Spain 70,000 patients die every year with intense
avoidable pain “because they do not receive the necessary medical attention”
Given this lack of access to palliative care for incurable patients
health centers offer the provision of euthanasia: “Euthanasia is deliberately causing the death of a patient
it means that in countries where this practice is approved
its extension is increasing and the requirement for its application is decreasing”
euthanasia goes against the vocation of the health professional “to cure
to suddenly become “an executioner who ends the life of his patient”
causes “permissiveness to increase not only among patients
It is a huge problem because when many people approve that a doctor
a nurse or a pharmacist participate in an act whose objective is to end the patient’s life
what is happening to us?,” the expert asked
Julio Tudela has also emphasized the low cost of requesting euthanasia in countries like Holland compared to the multidisciplinary care required to care for a patient in a terminal state: “Sixty euros costs a euthanasia kit
you have to accompany the patient many times for months or years
Resources are not dedicated to this item because
there is a kind of reluctance to invest resources for a person who is going to die,” he explained
the director of the Bioethics Observatory of the UCV has called on professionals to have “eyes that contemplate the human dignity of the person who suffers in order to invest resources in him when you know that he is not going to be cured
and what you do is accompany him so that he lives as dignified as possible.”
understanding the so-called ‘dignified death’ as euthanasia is a fallacy
since what exists is “dignified life,” and he adds that “contemplating in every person a dignified human being deserving of care and accompaniment like everyone else
supposes an ethical approach that we must spread,” he proclaimed
he has denounced that in countries where euthanasia was regularized decades ago
“involuntary euthanasia” is being carried out in elderly people over eighty years old residing in nursing homes
“This is a response to the slippery slope
when the law is approved it is usually very demanding in the circumstances to grant the application of euthanasia
In the end euthanasia is accepted by the population
and it is extended to the moment in which you can ask for euthanasia because you are tired of living
This is a worrying symptom that our civilization is truly sick,” he warned

COMMONWEALTH Ports Authority Executive Director Leo B
who became CPA executive director in November 2023
submitted his resignation to CPA Board Chair Ramon A
more than a month after former board chair
resigned from the board following the election of a new board leadership
“I can’t comment on this personal matter as this is with my attorney.”
Tudela’s resignation was the first item in the correspondence portion of the board meeting’s agenda on Thursday
together with Tebuteb’s acknowledgment letter to Tudela
Tudela said he provided each board member with a copy of his resignation letter on Friday
board member Antonio Cabrera said if that was Tudela’s decision
But he said “it’s so bad” that it is happening at this time
“because to look for a new executive director is going to take up a lot of their time again.”
Cabrera said he will need to discuss it with the other board members to understand what transpired
Pangelinan has been the acting executive director since Tudela submitted his 30-day notice of resignation
Tudela earned a degree in sociology with a minor in business administration from California State University
followed by graduate studies in public administration
He also completed a Senior Executive International Business Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Tudela rose to the position of area manager in the early 1990s
and customer service for 97,000 employees in Florida
Postal Service director for Asia-Pacific global business
and was also the postal ambassador to the Freely Associated States
The Tudela artichoke season is currently in full swing
as September and October have been much cooler and rainier than normal; nevertheless
this cooler weather has allowed the plants to vegetate really well and we have kept potentially harmful pests under control without major problems
so we are harvesting artichokes of very good quality," says Guillermo Agorreta
highly appreciated both in haute cuisine and by the industry for its flavor and consistency
remains one of Navarre's most important agricultural products
despite the fact that its acreage has experienced a certain decline in recent years
there has been a reduction in the number of hectares under production for various reasons
One of them has been the emergence of the seed artichoke
which is competing with the Blanca de Tudela variety
but we see that people are once again opting for the classic Tudela artichoke because of its unique texture," says Agorreta
the only artichoke suitable for the canning industry
The processing industry and the high-end hospitality and catering sector are the most important market niches for the Tudela artichoke
"The drop in the production has also happened as a result of the escalation in costs over the last few years
which has made it necessary to adjust the sales prices
and in Spain there is currently also a shortage of it
so the combination of higher costs and the fact that it is very difficult to find qualified workers has led growers to reduce their acreage to facilitate a better management," says the head of the PGI
"The truth is that the agricultural sector needs qualified and specialized personnel not only for cultivation
but also to operate machinery and manage new technologies
and it is difficult to find people with the right skills
and the need for them will only increase," says Guillermo Agorreta
I would say that we have reached a turning point
we went through the most difficult period due to the escalation of costs
but today we can say that the situation has stabilized quite a lot
The industry has been able to assume the price increases that we needed to make and the demand from canning factories has increased
the hotel and catering sector in Spain is doing spectacularly well and artichokes are a flagship food for many restaurants
so the demand has also increased," says Agorreta
"There already seems to be an upturn in the acreage and we hope that this trend will continue and that producers will be encouraged to expand their Tudela artichoke crops
as consumers and top chefs undoubtedly prefer this product."

COURT: A plaque reading "Justice For All" is seen on Monday
on the old Superior Court building at the Guam Judicial Center in Hagåtña
A man accused of torturing and assaulting a now-deceased woman could be going to trial in the next month
Superior Court of Guam Judge Maria Cenzon held a hearing to discuss the forensic evaluation of Eugene Wayne Tudela Huffman
who was found to be competent to be prosecuted on charges of criminal sexual conduct and aggravated assault
Huffman pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness to charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony and aggravated assault
family violence and felonious restraint as third-degree felonies stemming from reports by a woman who accused Huffman of torturing
beating and sexually assaulting her at his Dededo residence from June 2 to June 4
Peter Santos from the Alternate Public Defender
said he had not had a chance to discuss the evaluation with Huffman
Santos added he would not be objecting to the results
Defense attorneys typically have a chance to object to the results and in response judges would schedule a competency hearing to ultimately decide whether to adopt the findings of forensic evaluation conducted by a psychologist
Considering there was no objection from Huffman's defense counsel
Cenzon began looking to schedule Huffman's trial
since Huffman asserted his right to a speedy trial and is confined at the Department of Corrections
Cenzon did not give an exact date for the trial but confirmed it will be scheduled either during the last week of November or the first week of December
'I just want the best fighting chance possible'
interjected and made a request to be released from confinement because his third-party custodians were present
While Cenzon explained that a magistrate judge would determine Huffman's release
Huffman stated he would like to be released to have the "best fighting chance" in defense of the charges
I haven't seen the sunlight in three months
and it's going to be very difficult to fight this case with the circumstances
I just want the best fighting chance possible," Huffman said
Santos told Huffman he was working on release but needed to wait for a bail hearing to be scheduled by the magistrate judge
Huffman was arrested and charged after officers with the Guam Police Department responded to reports of an expired person in August
GPD then issued a press release stating the woman was the same woman who accused Huffman of torturing and sexually assaulting her in June
attempts were made to offer the victim assistance
who told officers that she was receiving medical treatment
GPD launched a separate investigation into her death
The Guam Daily Post has not received any confirmation from the department regarding the woman's cause of death
Spanish Grand Prix rider Cristian Tudela Ruiz has decided on his future after Blue Hors and will be moving back home to Spain
The 32-year old Tudela has been riding for Blue Hors in Denmark for almost 6 years but lost his job - like the majority of all staff - when the stud announced that it will be closing its doors on 1 April 2024
Ruiz got his dressage education at Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda under Enrique Cruces and then worked for Jose Antonia Garcia Mena for five years
his wife Maria Alba and daughter Sara moved to Denmark as he accepted a job at Helgstrand Dressage where he worked for two years before moving to Blue Hors
Since the announcement of the closure of Blue Hors, Tudela began spending more time back in Spain in December 2023, teaching a clinic at Las Cadenas and celebrating the holidays with his family. He also secured the 15-year old Blue Hors Zick Flower (by Zack x Romanov) to continue his Grand Prix career with
Tudela broke the rather unsurprising news on Instagram: "I will like to say thank you so much to Blue Hors for this amazing 5 years
Now it’s a very exciting moment to start my own business and I decided to do it in Spain together with my family
I have a lot of new horses and new projects
After 7 years working in Denmark it’s time to go back to my country."

THE Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council chair "highly recommends" that the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Government and Law conduct an "oversight hearing" with the Commonwealth Election Commission on Senate Bill 23-68, which proposes to allow registered voters to cast their ballots at any precinct in the CNMI on Election Day.
In her letter to committee chair Sen. Karl King-Nabors, Marian DLG Tudela said that before acting on the bill, which was introduced by Sen. Paul A. Manglona, the Senate panel should first hear from the CEC "on this subject matter in formulating the most appropriate public policy criteria governing Commonwealth elections."
She said the concept that S.B. 23-68 is suggesting "is ostensibly premised in providing duly registered voters greater flexibility and presumably ballot access in voting on the day of election."
Currently, a Tinian voter who is on Saipan on Election Day must return to Tinian to vote. Tudela said this "makes voting appear inaccessible or an inconvenience…, and also appears to infringe on the right to vote…."
But noting the differences between election precincts on Saipan and those on Tinian and Rota, she believes that allowing voters to cast their ballot at any precinct, as proposed by S.B. 23-68, "may incite the very essence of the horrific events that happened in the nation's capital on Jan. 6, 2021, when all hell broke loose [with] helter-skelter ballot access undermining ballot integrity at the end of Election Day."
Tudela said the municipal council, for its part, advocates “greater ballot access that maintains measured ballot integrity by allowing electronic voting on the day of election or voting online instead of standing in line for hours, especially on Saipan.”

GPD: A Guam Police Department squad car is parked at the Sgt
The Guam Police Department has launched an investigation into a report of an "expired person," a 33-year-old woman
earlier this week – the same day a man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting and torturing a 33-year-old woman in June
Eugene Wayne Tudela Huffman was arrested at his Dededo residence on suspicion of beating and sexually assaulting a 33-year-old woman allegedly held hostage for three days in June
police located Huffman at his residence when responding to an expired person complaint
GPD further explained in a press release issued on Friday that before finding Huffman
several attempts were made to locate Huffman
attempts to offer the victim assistance were declined by the woman
who told police she was receiving medical treatment
Upon responding to the expired person report
GPD stated that the individual was a 33-year-old woman
but also found Huffman was a suspect in the complaint made in June
GPD said in the release that the complaint made in June has resulted in the arrest and charging of Huffman
GPD did not explicitly confirm in the release whether the expired person and Huffman's alleged victim in the June complaint are the same woman
"The investigation into the expired person remains open
The Criminal Investigation Division is currently working with the medical examiner's office in determining the cause of death through an autopsy," GPD stated in its press release issued Friday
An expired person report is issued when it is believed the individual died from natural causes
The official statement from GPD comes after The Guam Daily Post spoke with the sister of the victim in Huffman's June complaint and confirmed it is the same woman who was found dead at Huffman's residence earlier this week
The sister further said she learned of the victim's death after family members received a call from the emergency room that the victim was brought in and attempts to revive her were unsuccessful
The family was able to identify the victim at the hospital
but had yet to receive any information on how the victim died
If you have done all of this and still can't find the email

It must be difficult being a Game of Thrones writer
Difficult to find gruesome new ways to maim and kill people
The show’s millions of fans aren’t going to be kept happy with routine beheadings and disembowelments
So what’s a writer to do once season six rolls round
View image in fullscreenThe city of Tudela, Navarre. Photograph: AlamyThe carvings at the Portal of the Last Judgement, one of the entrances to the city’s cathedral
make Game of Thrones look like the Teletubbies
There are images here to inspire even the most jaded of writers
Grinning devils pour boiling oil down the throats of sinners
while children are thrown into vats of oil above roaring fires
I soon lost count of the number of impalings depicted
Morbid fascination kept me staring for half an hour or so until
suitably terrified by my own probable fate
I entered the 13th-century cathedral itself
which has a particularly beautiful cloister with intricate stone carvings a damn sight less frightening than the portal
historic streets of Tudela were fascinating but they weren’t the real reason Game of Thrones came to Navarra
Just outside town lie the badlands of Bardenas Reales natural park
an extraordinary semi-desert landscape where water and wind has carved canyons
plateaus and fantastical shapes out of the clay
white plain and scream out to be put on film
View image in fullscreenCabezos (rock formation) in the Bardenas Reales natural park
surreal sight made all the more so by the military helicopter that suddenly appeared out of a giant cloud of dust and hovered menacingly above my parked car

Then a string of gleaming BMW motorbikes roared into view
followed by a team of black-clad assistants who quickly set up a photoshoot
right at the heart of the filming location
Bardenas is about 45km by 24km and crisscrossed by walking
cycling and driving routes which visitors must stick to
The terrain may look tough and barren but it’s a fragile ecosystem that sustains a huge variety of wildlife; it draws birdwatchers from around the world and I spotted a golden eagle riding the thermals above a ridge
There’s an added incentive to follow the rules: a Spanish air force bombing range is plumb in the middle of the park and the shattered remains of tanks lie just a few hundred metres from the road

The counters of bars and restaurants in Tudela are laden with fresh produce, from artichokes to peppers and borrage to pochas (a variety of haricot bean). Gina Tudela stood in the ICU watching her twin sister Victoria Sargee get intubated as she battled kidney failure
“I saw how much she was struggling,” Tudela remembered
Just days before, Sargee began experiencing severe, sharp pain on her left side and back. When her discomfort continued to increase, she asked her husband to take her to the emergency room. Tests determined she had a kidney infection from a large stone blocking her left kidney, and worse – it had led to sepsis
Sepsis is the body's extreme response to an infection
It happens when an infection you already have triggers a chain reaction throughout your body
as they were not working efficiently enough to filter toxins and allow urine to flow
I just wanted to find a way to help and give her a chance to live,” Tudela said
Sargee spent over a month in the ICU. When she was discharged, doctors placed her on dialysis
an artificial procedure to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly
“I was going to dialysis three times a week and each appointment took over four hours,” Sargee said
“It felt like my entire life revolved around getting treatment.”
Tudela saw the toll the procedures were taking on her sister. Living on the small island of Guam
the United States island territory in Micronesia in the western Pacific Ocean
the two saw each other frequently and spoke every day
“I knew the only way to improve her quality of life was to give her one of my kidneys,” Tudela said
As Tudela looked into her options, a friend told her about a surgeon originally from Guam working at UC Davis Health that specialized in kidney transplants. She quickly began doing her own research and reached out to the UC Davis Transplant Center
“Stephanie walked me through every step of the process and was so thorough in her explanations,” Tudela remembered
I completed all of the tests to find out if I was a match for Victoria and luckily
During Sargee and Tudela’s first appointment at UC Davis Health
one of the first questions they were asked was – “Are you identical twins?”
“The truth was that we didn’t know
our parents didn’t even know,” Sargee explained
“They told us they would run a test during the transplant operation to find out if we were.”
identical twins give the rare opportunity for the recipient to live as if their new kidney is their own
the body's immune system recognizes the new organ as a foreign object and attacks it
Recipients are prescribed immunosuppressants that help prevent the immune system from damaging their new organ
“Identical twins give the rare opportunity for the recipient to live as if their kidney is their own," Baroni explained
"Giving immunosuppressants for many years is associated with serious side effects
that’s the best thing we can do.”
tests confirmed Sargee and Tudela were identical twins
Because her sister was a “perfect match,” Sargee has not needed immunosuppressant medication
“It is an enormous relief to not need anti-rejection medications,” Sargee said
“It gives me even more hope that I will be able to live a normal life now.”
both Sargee and Tudela are recovering well
“The surgery was seamless and quick,” Tudela recalled
nutritionists – everyone we worked with knew their role and consulted with us in their area of expertise
Both sisters have become much more health conscious
are mindful of their diet and drink lots of water
“We bring our water bottles with us wherever we go,” Sargee joked
But mostly Sargee and Tudela are grateful for the support they received to make the transplant possible
“Helping someone improve their quality of life is a blessing,” reflected Tudela
“Not many people are given this opportunity and I appreciate the entire UC Davis team for helping make this possible.”

The Linux Foundation offers many resources for developers, users, and administrators of Linux systems, including its Linux Certification Program
which is designed to give you a way to differentiate yourself in a competitive job market
we talk with Jorge Tudela Gonzalez de Riancho
How did you become interested in Linux and open source
My first contact with Linux took place at the University
but I didn’t become interested till my first job as Unix/Linux system administrator
Regarding Open Source: Along with my current job as a Cloud Solution Engineer
I have started to use many open source tools and technologies
and I have become a true Open source believer
What Linux Foundation course did you achieve certification in
I got the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
I chose it because I was already familiar with all the domain and competencies of the exam
What other hobbies or projects are you involved in
Do you participate in any open source projects at this time
I don’t participate actively in any open source project at the moment
but that is one of my 2016 year resolutions
I’m a sports lover (especially triathlons)…it is not all about technology and work
But sometimes I spend time at home getting my hands dirty with my raspberry-pi 🙂
Do you plan to take future Linux Foundation courses
Yes, I would like to the take Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE) and also, any other LF courses related to Open Stack or SDN/NFV
In what ways do you think the certification will help you as a systems administrator in today’s market
It’s important to prove your knowledge and skills
so I guess the certification makes the difference when it comes to find a new job
What Linux distribution do you prefer and why
Although I have experience working with Debian & derivatives
There’s not really a strong reason behind that
Are you currently working as a Linux systems administrator
so I work with many different technologies like Docker and OpenStack
But Linux is key; it is the base where most of our software stack runs
Where do you see the Linux job market growing the most in the coming years
I believe IoT platforms of any kind and Automotive Grade Linux industry will enjoy an exponential growth in the coming years
What advice would you give those considering certification for their preparation
I recommend that they prepare the environment for the exam
It’s not a difficult exam if you work daily with Linux
apart from having a look to open/free resources
I just encourage them to set up a Linux environment at home and get their hands dirty!

and many of her family members still live there
She also wanted to restore the on-site village
which was abandoned in 1348 during the Black Death
known locally today as the church of Sant Miquel de Tudela
The property includes a forest of small evergreen oaks (Quercus ilex)
and an 18th-century house called Cal Tonillo
Mercedes planned to modernize the property
including turning Cal Tonillo into an ecological retirement home for herself and her husband
she added a rainwater-collection system and solar panels to the house
The restoration of Sant Miquel de Tudela became her passion
my mother was quite sick the last five years of her life and only had time to restore Cal Tonillo before she passed away in 2014,” Virginie says
Two and a half years after Mercedes passed
Virginie and James made the life-changing decision to carry on her mother’s dream
They were living in South Africa at the time
and when James’ work contract expired
giving up their life in the city to live in an area so remote it lacks grid-connected electricity and running water
The area is accessible only by a long network of dirt and gravel roads that wind through picturesque rolling hills and fields so pristine they seem untouched by the modern world
one of Mercedes’ last projects was to add central heating to the home
and Cal Tonillo was move-in ready when they arrived
While studying her mother’s files to understand her goals for the property
Virginie uncovered letters written by Mercedes in which she explained her plans for Virginie to take over the farm
She knew all along,’ ” Virginie says
“I don’t know if I was passionate the first few months after we got here and didn’t know what we were doing
But as I read her files and learned more about the project
The first thing Virginie did to carry on her mother’s legacy was to gain the certifications necessary to become a farmer — the same certifications her mother had earned
She would need these certifications to sell olives and almonds commercially
as well as to recognize the region’s 500 wild herbs
The certifications are also necessary for the farm to meet the phytosanitary and food-hygiene requirements for handling and processing food products
because she wanted to open a bed-and-breakfast
Farmers in the certification classes Virginie took were suspicious of her dreams
because she was the younger of only two women there
She changed their minds by showing them she wanted to do things properly and by asking for their advice
they began treating me like I was one of them!” Virginie says
Even local friends were among the initial doubters
a farmer and the mayor of the nearby village of La Prenyanosa
“They recently told me that they thought we would be here for a few months and for holiday and that what we were doing was more like a hobby than a vocation,” Virginie says
she earned Josep and Teresa’s respect and admiration through hard work
“They realized I was determined to succeed
and we weren’t going to give up.”
Not only have Virginie and James turned skeptics into admirers
but they’re also finally starting to see the fruits of their investment
They’ve developed a boutique product line of extra-virgin olive oil from 160 olive trees; sweet and crunchy packaged almonds from 60 trees; herbs that are seasonally harvested and dried; and small batches of jams and syrups from wild-growing figs
offering them a variety of natural experiences
including participating in olive and almond harvests
The farm’s biggest production is extra-virgin olive oil from three olive cultivars (Olea europaea): ‘Verdale,’ ‘Cornicabra,’ and ‘Arbequina,’ the last of which is native to the region
Some of the trees are potentially 100 years old
while some of the younger ones were planted by Mercedes or Virginie and James
and harvest — a favorite activity of B&B guests — occurs during a five-day span in fall
Virginie insists on using the centuries-old method of picking olives by hand
even though shaking them off the trees with electronic tools would greatly reduce harvest time
When asked why she insists on hand-harvesting
she has a quick response: “How would you like to be shaken like that?” she says
Virginie — who’s fluent in French
and English; understands Catalan perfectly; and speaks a little Catalan herself — talks to the olive trees in her native French
“Tu es un bon élève” (“you are a good student”) when they produce lots of olives
and Virginie extended the harvest to two five-day sessions and made two trips to a local mill
where the olives were cold-pressed into oil in the first press
she scolds them with “Je vais te donner une chance de plus.” (“I will give you one more chance.”) To make sure she has their attention
“Il va falloir te couper les branches.” (“I will have to cut your branches.”)
While some olives are better for oil and others are better to eat
“My oil is a mix of our different kinds of olives with their different tastes,” she says
“I do not have enough olives to separate them into different production types
is lab-tested for quality and nutritional content
it’s made from an all-natural process with no added preservatives and labeled with the Sant Miquel de Tudela brand
Sant Miquel de Tudela’s almond production comes from ‘Largueta,’ ‘Marcona,’ and ‘Commune’ cultivars (Prunus dulcis)
and the almonds are harvested by hand at the end of summer — an activity that’s open to guests
Virginie lays the almonds out in the sun to dry
and then carefully stores them in baskets until they can be evaluated and packaged
Virginie doesn’t have to import honeybees to pollinate her trees
because wild honeybees take care of it for her
The farm also produces aromatic herbs and a selection of jams and syrups
The herbs grow wild on the hills of the property’s 6 hectares
Lavender grows in two spots where Virginie’s parents planted it
The sight of the herbs in bloom is beautiful
but Virginie says she enjoys their fragrance just as much as the riot of colors they produce
While her mother’s primary interest was in medicinal herbs to use for aromatherapy
Virginie’s interests lie in herbs for gastronomy and in creating herb infusions for taste and health benefits
“The weather extremes here enhance their taste and benefits,” she says
She follows a schedule for harvesting and drying herbs that goes from April to November
Thyme and rosemary can be picked anytime in that interval; lavender is harvested in July; fennel seeds are picked in October; and cade juniper berries are selected in November every two years
Her favorite time for drying herbs is during summer
The farm’s fruit production comes from wild-growing figs
Virginie picks the fruit and berries when they’re perfectly ripe and then preserves them into jams and syrups
The only part of her mother’s vision for Sant Miquel de Tudela that Virginie hasn’t fulfilled is the restoration of the village and church
“All that remains are ruins,” she says
“You would have to tear down what is left to build anything new
so you would lose the historical heritage.”
Even though she’s leaving the ruins in place
Virginie is confident her mother would approve of how she has embraced her vision
“Teresa [Pijuan] told me that she used to talk a lot with my mother about what she had undertaken,” Virginie says
because who is going to enjoy all that you are doing and continue your project?’ And then she told me my mother said
Virginie thinks about those words as she looks across the property’s breathtaking views to the distant Pyrenees mountains
which are more of a connection to her new home and her native France than a border between them
“I am doing something my mother would be proud of,” she says
“And that makes me a bit emotional.”
