the second of which happened after being switched to sweeper in his final year
Despite being moved to a defensive position
Bizanos didn't miss a beat as he often broke up plays and quickly cleared the ball from harm's way
accurate leg strength allowed Bizanos to take the majority of Tottenville's goal and free kicks
The senior not only provided leadership for a team that captured the Staten Island PSAL and SIHSSL championships in 2005
but made life miserable for the opposition in the Warriors' zone
then cleared them out of harm's way before Curtis' opponents could get shots off
His strong foot also set up high-scoring teammate Mohammed Madave with several breakaway opportunities
The senior sweeper turned in an Advance All-Star season in 2005 thanks in part to his combination of strength
Ponpon's ability to anticipate helped him consistently break up plays and he never shied away from contact
He also chipped in with three goals for the Central Cougars
The hard-working Baum earned Advance All Star honors twice between the 2005-06 seasons after combining skill and speed to make life miserable for opposing forwards

he helped the Eagles limit the opposition to just 10 goals in 15 games
in addition to his strong play defensively

The junior was a jack-of-all-trades that did the bulk of his damage for the Pirates at sweeper in 2010
he switched from forward to sweeper and helped limit the opposition to just 16 goals in 21 games
