and another opportunity will come when they face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference semifinals
The Warriors advanced to the second round with a win over the Rockets in Game 7 Sunday night
setting the stage for some big-time drama and emotions in a showdown with Minnesota
Even better is that the Timberwolves will have home-court advantage as the No
Golden State entered the playoffs as the No
the Wolves would be heading on the road for Game 1 against the second-seeded Rockets
Game 1 will be at Target Center in Minneapolis at 8:30 p.m
CT on Thursday in Minneapolis before Games 3 and 4 head to San Francisco at times still to be determined
The Warriors will be on one full day of rest while the Timberwolves have had five full days to recover after taking out the Lakers in five games
Icons on the menu for Edwards and Minnesota to topple this round are Steph Curry
The added elements are the rivalry/feud between Green and Rudy Gobert
as well as the angst Minnesota fans have for Butler after he spurned the Timberwolves following one season with the team in 2017-18
The Warriors beat the Wolves in three of four meetings during the regular season

Will the Pacers dominate the Cavs like they dominated the Bucks in the previous round, winning that series 4-1? No, probably not. For one thing, Cleveland eventually will get back one of its best players, point guard Darius Garland, who missed his third consecutive game Sunday with a sprained toe
Garland could return as soon as Tuesday’s Game 2
The Cavs have one of the best backcourts in the NBA in Garland and Donovan Mitchell
and one of the league’s best set of twin towers in 6-11 Evan Mobley and 6-11 Jarrett Allen
and used all of that firepower to go 64-18 in the regular season
but shut it down late in the regular season to get ready for this moment
by game’s end — as the Pacers were pulling away from the top-seeded Cavs in Cleveland
sending the crowd for the exits with 90 seconds left — one of the most commonly searched topics Sunday night in America was a question
No, if we’re being precise. The Pacers could've had the best team in the professional basketball in the early 1970s, but this was before the ABA-NBA merger of 1976-77. The Pacers won three ABA titles from 1970-73
led by coach Slick Leonard and stars George McGinnis
They’ve been to the Eastern Conference finals three times in the past dozen years
being derailed by LeBron James and the Miami Heat in 2013 and ’14
and again last season by the Boston Celtics
We’re offering this history lesson because America is hungry to learn more about the Pacers
and some of those folks will come to this here website
would it surprise you if the Pacers win three more games
Also true: He is Cleveland’s second-leading scorer (20.6 ppg) and tops on the team in assists (6.7 apg)
and the most accurate shooter in the Cavs’ normal starting lineup from 3-point range (40.1%) and the foul line (87.8%)
This is also true: Cleveland didn’t have Darius Garland for Game 3 or Game 4 in the first round against Miami
and the Cavs won those games — both in Miami — by a combined 92 points
But the Cavs don’t need Garland to dominate a playoff team
but check what happened Sunday in Cleveland: The Cavs were dominated by the Pacers
blah — but after the Pacers took a 9-8 lead early in the first quarter
Cleveland didn’t lead again until the final minutes of the third quarter
with all that momentum and all that crowd noise
the Cavs were run out of their own gym while their fans hit the exits
the way the Pacers wore down Cleveland with pace on offense and pressure on defense
You’re going to notice Donovan Mitchell scored a game-high 33 points
He’ll make some ESPN highlight reels with his dunks and spinning attacks on the rim
What you might not notice is how hard the Pacers — mainly
how hard Andrew Nembhard — made Mitchell work for those 33 points
and how inefficient he was in scoring them
and was 1-for-11 on 3-pointers because Nembhard was following him tightly from the moment Mitchell crossed the halfcourt stripe
also took turns on Mitchell — including a soul-crushing blocked shot early in the third quarter
when this terrifying shadow swooped in from behind and blocked his 3-point attempt so cleanly
who raced the other way and grabbed a pass from Haliburton and buried a 3-pointer for a 67-58 lead
Nesmith then hit back-to-back 3s later in the quarter
But didn’t I say we were taking a quick look at the defense
where Carlisle’s tactical genius — combined with the Pacers’ skill and unselfishness — turned this series on its head
The Pacers weren’t letting Cleveland catch its breath
Cavs guard De'Andre Hunter was scoring at the rim
McConnell was scoring for the Pacers at the rim
"We've got to be in attack mode to have a chance to beat this team," Carlisle was saying after the game
"We were encouraging our guys to play free and let it ride."
on the occasions Cleveland was scoring and not having Mitchell miss one of his 10 shots from 3-point range
or not having Haliburton block those three shots — the last was the dagger
Haliburton tipping Max Strus’ 3-point attempt with 2:16 left and the Cavs down 116-108
the Pacers were grabbing the ball out of the net and racing the other way
four assists) pushing it ahead for an easy basket
The Pacers outscored the Cavaliers in transition by just one point
but transition points don’t include the baskets the Pacers were scoring immediately on the occasions after a Cavs field goal rather than after a defensive stop
Like the time Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin blocked Hunter’s dunk
then stared at him disdainfully as the ball bounced off Hunter
But didn’t I say we were taking a look at the offense
even Thomas Bryant — behind the arc and letting Haliburton do what he does best: Attack
with Cleveland’s rim-protectors on the perimeter
Haliburton was scoring at the rim with a variety of mid-range floaters and scoop shots high off the glass
The Haliburton family has been under the microscope for days
but Sunday night America had to be falling in love with Haliburton’s game — his quickness
his shot-blocking ability (!!) — and he’s just one piece of this Pacers puzzle
Some of you might argue Cleveland’s Evan Mobley
who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and received his Defensive Player of the Year Award trophy before the game
I’d suggest you look at the plus-minus scores
which showed Cleveland was 20 points worse with Mobley on the court than off it
Cleveland was 19 points worse with Mitchell on the court than off it
because Nembhard and Nesmith were combining for 40 points on just 18 shots — going 9-for-12 on 3-pointers — while holding Mitchell to that aforementioned 13-for-30 nightmare
Does the Pacers’ dream continue Tuesday night at Rocket Arena
and maybe the series is tied 1-1 when it shifts to Gainbridge Fieldhouse later this week
and they’ve been almost unbeatable in Downtown Indianapolis since Jan

chemical surfactants masked by industrial fragrances and even the “all-natural” alternatives smell pretty…meh
leaving your home with a general “clean-smelling” smell that signals to yourself and your guests that you’re not a slob
or send you fleeing for a chemical-free haven like Julianne Moore in the movie Safe
At the end of the day this new wave of cleaning products offers yet another way to get fine fragrances into your home
I tested several of the haughtiest haute cleaning products to get a sense of two things: first
I approached the latter metric with the full knowledge that scent preferences are subjective
and that what my colleagues and I prefer may not be what you like
Below you’ll find the product lines that I believe deliver the best products when it comes to smell
and I also go into a little detail on how well they function as cleaners
As to whether or not they are worth the price tag
The Droguerie line is Diptyque’s first foray into making products that are specifically designed for home cleaning. It includes a multi surface cleaner, dish soap, wood furniture polish, and an odor-removing candle and spray.
La Droguerie Odor Removing Candle with Basil
La Droguerie Odor Removing Room Spray with Basil
La Droguerie Multi-Surface Cleaner with Vinegar
This orange-blossom-scented soap comes in a lovely bottle that looks great beside the sink, but I found it underwhelming. The scent was pleasant but faint, and the surfactant power was really lacking. It seemed more like a hand soap than a soap for washing dishes. In all honesty, I’m planning on keeping the bottle and filling it with Dawn when the soap runs out.
La Droguerie Dishwashing Liquid with Orange Blossom
According to their website, Flamingo Estate is a “pleasure-obsessed home of sun-worship, folk mythologies, and psychedelic remedies.” That’s one way to describe a home and lifestyle brand founded by an Australian marketing executive and based in a plant-covered LA mansion. It’s beloved by celebrities like Martha Stewart and Megan Markle, and their range of premium products includes scented candles, olive oil, fresh cut flowers, and an $80 jar of dried strawberries.
Their roma heirloom tomato scent is their most popular, and for good reason. It has all the intense, peppery and green notes of a fresh cut tomato vine, which makes it an intoxicating summery scent for the home. Of all the tomato fragrances trending at the moment, I’d say it’s one of the best.
This dish soap is thick and concentrated, working up a nice lather and packing that signature smell. It uses biodegradable surfactants, which worked pretty well degreasing grimy pots and pans. A little goes a long way too, so for how expensive it is, you do get a lot of use out of it.
Don’t get me wrong, this still smells amazing. My problem was that it was pretty oily, and didn’t do a great job removing spills and gunk from the counters. This spray is more for a quick wipe down of the counter or dinner table, but not the best for heavy-duty cleaning. Regardless, it smells nice!
Courteney Cox started her brand Homecourt from a desire to have homecare products inspired by scents used in perfume and candles. Compared to the other brands in this lineup, Homecourt has a greater variety of scent options available. The product line up includes Dish soap, surface cleaner, and room deodorizer alongside soap and hand lotion.
A mix of mint, eucalyptus, and black tea makes for an exceptionally fresh-smelling scent. At first it’s almost a little too minty, but the scent opens up into something bright, breezy and natural. Performance wise, both the surface spray and dish soap did fine. Would they win a competition against quick-acting industrial surfactants? No, but they do get the job done in the same way Mrs. Meyers or Seventh Generation do, which is good enough for me.
These scents are more of a departure from typical cleaning scents, and garnered mixed reactions from staff. Some liked them, while others thought they were a little too heavy on the rose. I think they make more sense as surface cleaners, as they have a nice way of adding a modest amount of fragrance to a room without aggressively filling the space. As dish soap, I think these are just too perfumey.
Cece is musky, woodsy scent that doesn’t smell bad, but something about all the warm, earthy notes felt way off for cleaning dishes or wiping down the counter. Basically, this made my kitchen smell like a very rich woman passed through on her way to a late night cocktail party. Who knows though! You may want that vibe, which is why I recommend getting one of Homecourts sample scent cards if you’re interested in purchasing anything from the line.
This is one of the only ‘natural’ alternatives to Windex I’ve ever used that delivers a comparable streakless sparkle. It only comes in Laundress’s No° 247 scent, which has a subtle lavender top note grounded by musky and warm oakmoss. I’m pretty neutral on this scent (I don’t love oakmoss), but a lot of people do. Regardless, it’s a great glass cleaner, full stop.
This is a pretty standard issue “natural” surface cleaner that’s well-suited for a basic wipe down, but can’t really handle heavy duty messes like an oven cook top. While this also contains the No° 247 scent, it is pretty fleeting on the surface, so it won’t really do much to perfume your home in any way. If you’d prefer something on the subtler side that teeters on being unscented, you’d like this.
I found this to be the gentlest of all the dish soaps I tested. It had a thin texture, and its surfactant qualities seemed a bit understated when I added a squirt to water and started scrubbing. The fragrance is really subtle here, which may actually be a plus if you don’t want your dishes to smell like lavender and oakmoss. I’m in the minority here in being underwhelmed though, because this product regularly sells out.

USI is not new to recently hired Head Baseball Coach Chris Ramirez
the University's sixth in its storied 54-year baseball program
He visited several years ago when he was the new Head Baseball Coach for the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) when they played against USI
having just won a national championship," he said
"I remember thinking as the opposing coach
this is a nice campus.' But I didn't realize until I got here how nice it really is
I'm amazed how much the student experience is emphasized at USI
Everywhere you go has been designed with the students in mind—with lounges
Ramirez said he and his family—wife Lindsay
daughters Layla (13) and Mia (8) and son Stryker (7)—feel like they've come home
"We are both from the Midwest and this feels like a move back to our home neighborhood."

I was extremely impressed with everyone throughout the interview process
I liked [Head Coach Eric Schoenstein's] vision for the program and his trust in allowing me to be involved with every aspect of the program
I don't mind getting up and starting my day with a workout or a nice little walk outside or having some time to enjoy coffee
I would say I am more of a nighttime person
I really enjoy looking at the stars late at night
but I would really like a pet jumping spider
They are cute and can recognize their caretaker; sometimes they wave using one of their legs
The ability to move in directions that challenge me
I don't think getting into a routine and doing the same thing every day is challenging
but I do not think that allows a person to grow
I have spent my free time watching birds and logging them into an app
I also really like to paint but I haven't been able to do that for a while
A new hobby I have started is making bread
Who is the most influential person in your life
He has been there every step of the way helping guide me to be who I am today
he always pushed me to be great and challenged me
He knew my potential and helped me achieve everything I wanted; not only from a player aspect but who I am as a person too
Success is different for everyone; not what others tell you success is
To me success is maximizing where I am and what I am doing
It is achieving goals that are set and obviously
I am a competitive person so winning will always be a part of my definition of success
But there will always be some games where you do not win
How you grow from that loss is what matters the most
On the day the Golden State Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler
tied with the Sacramento Kings for the 10th seed in the Western Conference
in danger of dropping out of the Play-In Tournament entirely
After Butler’s first game with the Warriors — a blowout win over the Chicago Bulls to edge them back to .500 — coach Steve Kerr said the far-off team goal was to eventually climb up to the sixth seed
It only took 15 days. Butler and the Warriors started rattling off wins so quickly
and the middle of the conference started melting down around them so rapidly
that they snuck into the sixth seed before the end of February
the idea of flying up the standings much further seemed overly ambitious
They’d lost two in a row to start a daunting six-game road trip and still felt a little too far out of reach from teams like the Memphis Grizzlies
But Memphis fired its coach in the middle of a losing streak
and the Nuggets and Lakers suffered a pair of heartbreakers at the buzzer as part of their own wobbly stretches
bringing all three back within striking distance right as the schedule delivered the Warriors this triple-header: at Grizzlies
In three separate cities spread over four days
the Warriors won all three in relatively convincing fashion: 134-125 over the Grizzlies
123-116 over the Lakers and 118-104 over the Nuggets on Friday night on the rough side of a back-to-back after returning from a 14-day cross-country trip
“I’m tired,” Draymond Green told reporters
37 and 36 points in the three wins — 125 points on 76 shots in 12 quarters
That other NBA player is Brandin Podziemski
backing up his 28-point outburst in Los Angeles with 26 more points against the Nuggets on Friday night
Butler chipped in 57 points in the three-game stretch
The Warriors are 14-0 when using that five-man group as their starting lineup
The significance of these three wins can be felt in the updated standings
The Warriors are nowhere near out of Play-In danger
Minnesota Timberwolves and LA Clippers loom below them
But those three wins have opened up a path for them to pass either the Lakers
Nuggets or both and capture home-court advantage in the first round
The Warriors have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Timberwolves and Grizzlies
They’ve lost the head-to-head tiebreaker to the Lakers
So they’d have to finish a game ahead of Denver and both Los Angeles teams to get slated above them
“I don’t know that it’s quite as important (to get home court),” Kerr said
“I would say that the main focus for us — and I would guess the other five or six teams — is to stay out of seven and eight (seeds)
You just don’t want to mess around with that Play-In situation.”
they’d need the Lakers to lose twice or the Nuggets to lose once to move past them
there’s a practical path to the Warriors moving into the third or fourth spot
Here are the Warriors’ five remaining games: versus Rockets
Here are the Lakers’ five remaining games: at Thunder
Here are the Nuggets’ four remaining games: versus Pacers

03-18-2025MOST INNOVATIVE COMPANIES 2025
“This isn’t just about lending my name to a product,” Cox says
Here’s how she developed an entirely new category in home care
BY Heidi Mitchell
Homecourt is No. 40 on the list of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2025. Explore the full list of companies that are reshaping industries and culture.Cleaning your home is hardly a sexy undertaking
the Friends-famous actor and director who has been hosting regular Sunday suppers for nearly 20 years
When investor Bilal Mekkaoui (who took HelloFresh public
among other companies) attended one at Cox’s Malibu home
he was so impressed by her homemaking that they began discussing launching a business
a veteran of L’Oréal’s Viktor & Rolf and Proenza Schouler fragrance portfolio
They soon created an entirely new category: high-end “beauty care” for the home
Homecourt’s line of home-care products—including a surface cleaner
candles—come in 100% postconsumer recycled bottles that look nice on a countertop and are filled with proprietary formulas
Homecourt’s signature, $45 nonaerosol room spray
uses three key functional ingredients: zinc ricinoleate (which encapsulates bad odors and prevents them from being released into the air)
a yeast ferment (which breaks down odor-causing bacteria)
Homecourt says its own clinical studies have shown that the liquid reduces odors by 40%
outperforming traditional—and not very counter-friendly—deodorizers such as Febreze and Poo-Pouri
the company is launching a trio of laundry products
After an all-night shoot in January on the Atlanta set of the seventh installment of Scream
Cox talked to Fast Company about her role at Homecourt and some of her favorite home-cleaning hacks
What appealed to you about the idea of creating beauty products for the home
Once the world started opening up again after the pandemic
I realized I didn’t want my home to smell medicinal
[And I often] looked at a bottle of olive oil on the table and thought
Why can’t cleaning supplies look like that
I had never seen cleaning products in a sleek
Where do you like seeing the products fit into users’ lives
When people walk into a room and notice the scent
I want them to be surprised to learn it’s from a cleaning product
you can use it for Q-tips or refills or use the large ceramic multi-wick candleholder as a bowl for limes
What’s your role in the creative process at Homecourt
I’ve made sure everything reflects my personal style
We sourced our fragrances from the best perfumeries to make sure each product smelled like something you’d find in a high-end perfume boutique
I’d constantly rearrange our twin beds and furniture
My mom was neat but had messy junk drawers that drove me crazy
I grew to appreciate her talent for design
like how she styled bookshelves with books
I’ve always believed less is more—I’d rather have an empty drawer than one packed with stuff
Homecourt is different from many celebrity-founded brands in that it owns all the intellectual property
This isn’t just about lending my name to a product
Having ownership allows us to make changes and adjustments as we learn more
Why were laundry products next on your list
Even your laundry routine can be luxurious
Our detergent is 10-times concentrated with no water added
and it doesn’t overpower your personal fragrance
16-ounce pump bottle that’s both functional and elegant
We also have wool dryer balls in dark and natural with a scented oil
One of my favorites is using dish soap in a bucket of water to mop the floors—it’s simple and works wonders
I also love putting dish soap in the toilet while cleaning; there’s nothing like walking into a freshly cleaned bathroom and seeing the suds in the bowl
I use our counter spray on almost everything—except glass
I’m still on the lookout for the perfect glass cleaner

In an exclusive interview on the Burnt Orange Sports Network, Miller discussed his mindset for the program heading into his first season at the helm of the Longhorns
he professed the need to establish an important home crowd every game at the Moody Center
bumps hats with Texas Longhorns mascot HookEm during the basketball game against West Virginia at the Moody Center on Saturday
Martinez/American-Statesman / USA TODAY NETWORK“To have it sold out
to have a great passionate student section and to make those 17 home games a home court advantage
that’s what we have to really get right moving forward," Miller told Burnt Orange Sports Network
"That’s an investment that I think is worth making for me as a coach and for our staff.”
Loud home courts are something Miller experienced regularly in the Big East Conference when at Xavier
and he is well aware he will experience them in the Southeastern Conference as well
has an approximate capacity of 10,000 for basketball games and holds its student section
The arena is very capable of hosting one of college basketball's special environments
“If we’re truly about building a championship program in men’s college basketball
you cannot underestimate the power of what your home court feels like
what it feels like to recruits considering coming here,” Miller said
The impacts of a key home court advantage extend beyond game time
a bustling Moody Center would provide comprehensive benefit to the program's recruiting and retention efforts
his staff and his player additions have brought the attention to the men's basketball program needed to take it to the next level in the SEC
The next step is now executing on the court and transforming Texas into the basketball powerhouse it can be
“There’s no doubt that the future of college sports has the SEC at the table and certainly has the University of Texas at the table," Miller said during the interview
The Pacers take a 1-0 series lead with Game 2 coming 7 p.m.
Forwards Pascal Siakam and Aaron Nesmith scored 17 points each
Center Myles Turner had 13 points and 12 rebounds
Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points to lead the Cavs
Ty Jerome added 21 and Evan Mobley scored 20
The Pacers not only lost in some of the key areas that usually determine the winner of a game
The Cavaliers outscored the Pacers 70-38 in the paint. They grabbed 13 offensive rebounds to the Pacers' seven and finished with 21 second chance points to the Pacers' four. The Pacers committed 17 turnovers to the Cavaliers' eight and the Cavs scored 22 points off turnovers to the Pacers' nine
The Pacers made 19-of-36 3-pointers and got outside shot contributions from up and down the lineup
Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith combined for nine between them — more to come on those two
Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam hit two each
but it was a big one — a buzzer beater just before the end of the third quarter that stopped a significant Cavaliers run
Bennedict Mathurin hit 3-of-5 off the bench and guard T.J
Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points but was 1-of-11 from outside
Sharpshooters Max Strus and Sam Merrill combined to go 4-of-13
Nembhard averaged 15.0 points per game on 49.2% shooting and 50% 3-point shooting to go with 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game with a critical steal and 3-pointer in overtime of the Pacers' overtime comeback
Nesmith averaged 14.8 points per game on 53.8% shooting including 51.9% from 3 and also grabbed 6.4 rebounds per game
He had a game-changing block against the Bucks in Game 4 and posted a 19-point
Both were back at it in Game 1 against the Cavs
and they were especially sharp from beyond the 3-point arc
Nesmith shot 5-of-8 from the floor including 4-of-6 from 3-point range for 17 points
he blocked a 3-pointer by Mitchell and hit a 3-pointer of his own on the other end
scored 23 points on 7-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-6 from 3-point range
Tyrese Haliburton chastised himself early in the Bucks series for passing the ball out too much on drives to the paint and ended up winning that series with his drives to the rim in Game 5
In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals
Haliburton made a point of establishing his paint game early
and showed a willingness to put up floaters even when met with big men Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the lane
but also made four field goals in the paint and was obviously 7-of-9 from 2-point range

The Indiana Pacers are likely to end up with the No
4 seed in the Eastern Conference and a first-round homecourt playoff edge
a great closing week of the regular season could push them to No
while losing out could force them to start the playoffs on the road
Among likely first-round opponents, Indiana lost the season series to the Milwaukee Bucks 3-1, and the Pacers led the Detroit Pistons 3-1
The Pacers and Bucks each have one against a team already eliminated from postseason contention
while all of Detroit's opponents are in the hunt
Indiana faces conference-leading Cleveland twice
while the Bucks and Pistons play each other in the final two games of the regular season
Another victory: Pacers outlast Jokic’s 40-point triple-double for first win over Nuggets since 2020
(Through April 6; top six have qualified for playoffs)
Chicago and Miami are set as the play-in teams for the 7th through 10th seeds
though they are all within 3 games of each other
Each of those teams could finish anywhere in that group
INDIANAPOLIS -- Tyrese Haliburton scored 23 points, posted 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Pacers to a 114-112 win over the Cavaliers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday night
clinching a top-four seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs
The Pacers improved to 49-31 and have won six straight
They trail the Knicks by just one game and still have a chance at the No
3 seed and can finish no worse than fourth
The Cavaliers have already clinched the No
Forward Aaron Nesmith added 22 points for the Pacers. Forward Jarace Walker added 15 points
Guard Ty Jerome led the Cavs with 24 points
NBA playoffs standings: Pacers lock up homecourt advantage in first round
The Pacers were fortunate to be playing another team with nothing to play for this late in the season
though this time on the other end of the spectrum
Instead of playing a team already consigned to the draft lottery
the Pacers were playing a team in the Cavs that has already sewn up the No
1 seed in the Eastern Conference and therefore is looking to rest top players heading into the playoffs
The Cavs sat out four starters to start the game — Donovan Mitchell
Evan Mobley and Max Strus — then sat out fifth starter Jarrett Allen after halftime
Star sub Ty Jerome scored 24 points in the first three quarters
but he didn't play at all in the fourth quarter
the Pacers did what they needed to do to get enough buckets and stops down the stretch
Haliburton scored eight points and hit two 3-pointers that put them in control
Walker scored 10 points and even after a missed Nesmith free throw in the final 10 seconds the Pacers came through with a stop when Cavs forward Jaylen Tyson missed a potential game-tying shot
Pacers still got outmuscledDespite all the missing players
the Cavs still spent most of the game in control of what might be considered the muscle stats
The Cavs outscored the Pacers 28-16 in the paint in the first half
won the rebounding battle 33-23 and scored 13 second-chance points to the Pacers' zero
The Pacers had it a little easier in the second half with Allen out as he registered 10 rebounds
the Cavs won the points in the paint battle 44-42
second-chance points battle 15-8 and and rebound battle 50-46
Jarace Walker hits big shots to keep Pacers in itGuard Ben Sheppard missed another game with a left great toe sprain which meant another night of extended minutes for Walker
and he again made the most of those minutes
The second-year former lottery pick is on the hottest shooting stretch of his young professional career and that continued Thursday
Walker scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting including 4-of-4 from beyond the 3-point arc
That included 4-of-4 from the floor and 2-of-2 from 3 in the fourth quarter as his 3s helped the Pacers withstand a barrage from De'Andre Hunter and Sam Merrill early in the fourth

#article-stream-0 .quote-embed .font-size p{font-size: 36px;}Homecourt Founder Courteney Cox
“Laundry seems like the perfect avenue to go down, considering we love our clothes and how personal and special they are to us,” Cox says. “There's so many things that Homecourt can and will expand to
I love the fact that you can choose your own scent of how you want your clothes to smell
It’s all dermatologically-tested and it works
The bottle has to look good on the counter
It smells incredible because of our perfumeries; we use high-end everything
and I don't like when I hug somebody and go
The Laundry Concentrate and Laundry Fragrance Oil come in bottles that are made from 100% PCR
“All three of these are things that are really important to me,” Cox says
as opposed to having one fresh day of wrinkle-free sheets
you use a wrinkle releaser and with the smell of that and the fact that it works
I like to spray my pillows and my upholstery
or my curtains after I've been cooking or all the pets are running around.”
The Laundry Fragrance Oil works by adding a few drops to the wool dryer balls
but now I get to put our own scents on them
I use gray balls for darker clothes and the natural-colored ones for whites
It's stepping up your laundry game.” It also adds to their sustainability story
since the dryer balls can be reused endlessly
The Laundry Concentrate is designed to be as user-friendly as possible
so you don't have to pour and then rinse out your cap or put the cap back on and have a drip down the bottle,” Cox says
“I like things that work to the point they're beautiful
And this does it all and it's upscale
The Homecourt team is especially proud that the Laundry Concentrate formula is patent pending
which you really don't see on the market
in addition to its unique pump that we really haven't seen,” says Sarah Jahnke
so it has a small footprint because of how concentrated it is
I personally was surprised about how much water is in other people's formulas.”
Like all categories and aspects of Homecourt
the laundry collection is meant to make doing laundry feel more like part of a self-care routine as opposed to a chore
“We do encourage everyone to use all the steps of this new ritual—the detergent
depending on how many drops you put on the balls—and then finish it off with the linen spray,” Jahnke says
“People are loving that they can go light and just use the detergent or go maximum and use all three steps.” That element of personalization is very intentional
“The most important place is where we live
and so why not have things that smell the way you want to smell
and why not make things that clean but look good so you can leave them on your counter?” Cox says
“Homecourt came during a time that we spent so much time at home [during Covid] and it was a market that was never done
It's something that I'm so proud of because it just makes sense.”

The Thunder had the misfortune of traveling on the second night of the set and being without four key rotation pieces
including the league's MVP in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied with a flurry of buckets before intermission and a big scoring run in the third frame to gain control of the lead and continue its season long trend: Winning
66 of the season and clinched the top record in the NBA
This gives them home-court advantage throughout the NBA Playoffs and the NBA Finals
should the Thunder's run make it that far
This has been a historic season for the Bricktown ballers who continue to build on its franchise-best record (Oklahoma City or Seattle)
Just its second 60-plus win season since moving to Oklahoma City
the most double-digit wins in NBA history and lapping the field with the rough and tumble Western Conference to long ago locked up the top seed on that side of the bracket
The Thunder sweeping the back-to-back set is an impressive feat on its own and an important one and now –– with two games remaining in the 2024-25 regular season –– truly everything is on ice for Oklahoma City
can not catch Oklahoma City as even if they won out to reach 66 wins (and the Thunder lost out) the Thunder own the tiebreaker thanks to its historic cross-conference record
OKC has only lost once to the Eastern Conference
The previous record was just three loss to the opposite conference
Oklahoma City will head to Salt Lake City for a matchup with the Utah Jazz on Friday night before ending the regular season in New Orleans against the Pelicans on Sunday
the Thunder will enjoy a week off before beginning the first round of the NBA Playoffs on Sunday
Oklahoma City will not know its first round matchup until Friday
April 18 after the NBA Play-in tournament wraps up
INDIANAPOLIS – Pacers coach Rick Carlisle told his team starting the playoffs at home means their mindset has to be different than it was a year ago because homecourt advantage in a best-of-seven series is a fragile
The Pacers, after all, managed to win two playoff series last season even though they didn't have homecourt advantage in either series and went a combined 2-5 on the road against the Bucks in the first round and the Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals
They were clobbered in Game 1 and Game 5 by the Bucks in Milwaukee
but won Game 2 and didn't lose at home and that was enough for them to advance
but shocked Madison Square Garden with a 130-109 win in Game 7
So now that the script is flipped for the No. 4 seed Pacers' first-round Eastern Conference playoff series against the No. 5 seed Bucks — which begins 1 p.m. Saturday on ESPN at Gainbridge Fieldhouse — they know they have to be locked in for Game 1 and 2 because one loss in those games means surrendering the advantage that took them 50 regular season wins to earn
It's Pacers vs. Bucks again in playoffs. Who has edge in first-round series?
"You just gotta have your guard up," Carlisle said
We've gotta get that edge this week headed into Saturday."
Others had been there but never had important roles for the teams they were on
and they simply hadn't been there together as a group
But this year they come in with experience and also with an understanding they aren't going to be sneaking up on anybody this time
They are now an established member of the NBA's playoff class
They carry the burden of having to prove last year's Eastern Conference finals run wasn't a fluke and also of knowing they could be entering their championship window and their timeframe to pursue a title isn't infinite
"I think even last year we were just satisfied with being in the playoffs," Haliburton said
"Everything from there was kinda playing with house money to be honest with you
This year I think we have real expectations to do something special as a group and when I say something special
That's definitely an expectation we've had since the start of the year
The Pacers enter the postseason tied for the sixth best record in the NBA at 50-32
That's the fourth-best record in the NBA since Dec
9 behind only the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City and No
That means the Pacers are by no means the favorites to claim a title
but they're not so much of an underdog as to be beyond the realm of imagination
Their playoff road will be tougher this season than last simply because the Cavaliers and Celtics are 60-win teams
the eventual NBA champion Celtics were the only 60-win team in the East and the Pacers avoided them until the Eastern Conference finals
in the conference semifinals if they get past the Bucks
the Knicks team they faced in the semis was 50-32
the Pacers may be better equipped to take down teams at that caliber because they're a dramatically better defensive team
the Pacers led the NBA in scoring — posting the highest scoring average in the NBA in 40 years — but finished 27th in the NBA in scoring defense and 24th in defensive rating
This year's team finished 14th in defensive rating and since Dec
"Since January we've been an elite defensive team," Haliburton said
"We understood coming into this year that we would have to be better there if we really wanted to accomplish our goals
So I think we've done a good job of locking into that end of the floor
The buy-in from top to bottom has been great
the accountability from us has been great."
they have to face a Bucks team that is also arguably better equipped for a playoff run than they were last year
two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be available to start the playoffs after missing all of last year's series with the Pacers
His presence obviously changes the dynamic dramatically
He won't win a third MVP award this year with Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver's Nikola Jokic putting on a historic battle
but there's a good chance Antetokounmpo will finish third in the balloting and first among Eastern Conference players
He's a shoo-in to be named first-team All-NBA for a seventh straight season as he's averaging 30.4 points per game on 60.1% shooting
11.9 rebounds per game and 6.5 assists per game
"He can do everything," said Pacers All-Star forward Pascal Siakam
who will likely draw Antetokounmpo as a defensive assignment
That (mid-range) shot also makes him more dangerous
He's the head of a snake but their whole team is playing unbelievable basketball."
The Bucks initially struggled in Lillard's absence
but since that skid they've won eight straight and haven't lost in April
Antetokounmpo is averaging a triple-double in that stretch — 31.8 points
12.0 rebounds and 11.8 assists per game — but eight other players are averaging double-digit scoring
who was acquired from the Clippers at the deadline has stepped up in Lillard's absence at point guard
Forward Bobby Portis has returned after a 25-game suspension for taking an unauthorized painkiller drug
have shot the ball exceptionally well from beyond the arc
The Bucks finished fourth in the NBA in field goal percentage this season and first in 3-point field goal percentage
"Improved perimeter shooting," Pacers center Myles Turner said when asked what has changed about the Bucks
guys who they got on the trade block that have really been helping them
And obviously having Giannis back for the playoffs is huge as opposed to not having him last year
It's a same team but it's a different team
Our approach and principles can't change."
And their approach has to include winning their first two games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
"The biggest difference between last year and this year is playing Game 1 at home," Haliburton said
"I think last year in Game 1 we got stomped
It felt like we kinda eased in to Game 1 and then woke up in Game 2 and responded
You gotta take care of homecourt because at the end of the day
I think what's most important is taking care of Game 1."
Now officially available—after a string of Instagram teasers—the core Homecourt laundry collection includes a Laundry Concentrate
Linen Spray and Laundry Fragrance Oil
Each is available in all three of the brand’s signature scents: Cece
The lineup also boasts elevated laundry accessories
“We always say at Homecourt how important our home is. We should take care of our home like we should anything else where we spend the most of our time, and what else do we do? We wear clothes,” said Cox in an interview with WWD
Why not give them personal scents that we’ve created and give you a choice of what you want to smell like
and do it in a way that’s been tested dermatologically
because everything about Homecourt always has to meet all the standards.”
Homecourt’s commitment to safety, efficacy, sustainability, plant-derived and upcycled ingredients and an indulgent scent experience is woven into every formula
so your laundry routine feels just as luxurious as your skin and body care

From balsam fireplace candles to a counter spray that mimics her signature perfume
The brand recently launched a line of bodycare products
called Cocomoi (named in honor of Cox’s daughter
This earthy fragrance line features a body mist
“The bottle is large enough to justify the cost, and the formula feels very luxurious on my skin. That said, the scent is very distinct and truthfully may not be for everyone; The cardamom and pepper are the strongest notes that come through.”—Madison Yauger
and the scent really clings to your skin for hours after use
I particularly found it helpful with dry spots around my elbows and knees
especially as temperatures drop.”—Madison Yauger
As the Friends character who once vacuumed her vacuum cleaner with a smaller vacuum cleaner
Monica Geller would definitely be first in line for this cleaning-focused home collection
Cox believes Geller might prefer the Steeped Rose fragrance because “living in New York
there aren’t a lot of fresh flowers” so it would bring that scent into the iconic purple apartment
this feels higher quality than most that I’ve tried
but still maintains a powerful scent.”—Madison Yauger
For a limited time, Homecourt has also released a Balsam Fireplace collection with all of the core products
Our team tried the candle and dish soap in this fragrance
and we can confirm it smells like a fresh Christmas tree with all the warmth of the holiday season
“I’ve almost completely burned down the Mandarin Basile candle
It burns so cleanly but with a rich scent that travels throughout the room
the clay vessel looks great on the coffee table and can be repurposed when finished.”—Madison Yauger
“I’ve used all four room deodorant scents in my small New York apartment over the last year
and each one adds a beautiful fragrance to the space
I like using Cece in my bathroom given its perfumed scent
and Neroli Leaf in my kitchen (especially if I’ve been cooking something with an odd smell and need to give the room a little refresh).”—Madison Yauger
I grew up in Tennessee with rosebushes in the backyard
and this dish soap smells just like those rosebushes
I’ve never encountered a scented cleaning product that matches up so perfectly with the real thing
so for me to say it’s enjoyable is saying a lot.)
“Washing your hands is rarely a luxurious experience
but Homecourt’s hand wash creates a spa-like experience in your sink
It has a smooth consistency and forms a frothy lather while handwashing
leaving your hands soft and clean without drying out the skin barrier
but you can add some hand cream to follow up should you want even more hydration
the scents are incredible.”—Madison Yauger
“I usually keep lotion at my desk and in my handbag
so I’m not accustomed to putting it on immediately after washing my hands
but the hand wash and cream set has changed that
While I could technically have split up these two pieces
Now I’m in the habit of washing my hands and immediately applying lotion
and I have to say: It feels so nice just to take a moment for myself post-handwashing
so I find it super relaxing.”—Erin Johnson
“I have a dog that sheds in bulk so pet hair ends up everywhere
and I’m constantly wiping down my counters
The spray bottle applicator is so user-friendly with an on/off twist nozzle
I usually only need a few sprays to clean my whole kitchen counter
I particularly love the Steeped Rose fragrance because it’s like there are fresh flowers in my kitchen.”—Madison Yauger
but I do love using my Homecourt kitchen trio set
the steeped rose scent is so relaxing; it seems like I'm always coming up with an excuse to clean something
Instead of waiting until the dishes pile up
Instead of letting messes linger on the counter
This set has absolutely improved my quality of living.”—Erin Johnson
apart from the tops and caps on the spray products
which is something they’re working on: “because we haven’t found ones that you can recycle yet.” All of the bottles and containers are made with a 100 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) PET plastic
and the candle jar is reusable and made with a natural clay
all the shipping materials are made with 100 percent PCR plastic too

“Home Court” traces the ascent of Cambodian American teenager Ashley Chea
a basketball prodigy whose life intensifies amid college recruitment
Filmed over three years of Ashley’s high school career
the film is a coming-of-age story that relays the highs and lows of her immigrant family
and personal trials that include a devastating knee injury
The film opens in Ashley’s sophomore year of high school. She shuttles between her home in a lower-income neighborhood in Los Angeles and her private school, Flintridge Prep
while traveling to youth basketball tournaments and visiting colleges around the country
Ashley’s parents work long hours at their donut shop
“‘Home Court’ is a universal American story of assimilation, perseverance, prejudice, and success,” said filmmaker Erica Tanamachi
“My hope is that all people can see themselves on screen in some way and feel empathy
feel a little more at ease knowing they are not alone—for we are more similar than we are different.”
With the pressure of being one of the top basketball recruits in the country
tensions rise as Ashley navigates college offers and her family’s input
she grapples with the task of leading her high school team
as well as being a leader in her community and the mounting responsibility to represent her culture
The film culminates in the bittersweet moments of Ashley leaving for college with her family

Don’t get me wrong, La Familia beating The Ville inside Freedom Hall to send the former Louisville Cardinals home was one of the highlights of the summer. Nothing gave me joy the way Nate Sestina did torturing that terrible fanbase, or when Daniel Orton emerged as the Dan Issel of Lance Wares after Chinanu “Hawk Tuah” Onuaku spat a loogie like the sore loser he is
ready to whip his ass like an overhand free throw
Daniel Orton genuinely had that man’s life flashing before his eyes dog you can see the moment he realized it’s in God’s hands now 😭😭😭😭 #BBN pic.twitter.com/1K3GGI6HIh
UofL rivalry was on full display that night
a rematch is on the table — assuming both sides take care of business leading up to that point
To put it simply, La Familia needs your help with ticket sales. That will be the difference.
Pre-sale tickets will be available in Lexington starting Friday before opening to the general public on May 6 at 10 AM ET. It will be a race to 4K tickets among all 10 possible host teams with the top eight being ranked based on how quickly they reached that mark. The regional host sites are:
If multiple regions sell 4K tickets via pre-sale, the tiebreaker will go to the fanbase with the most tickets sold by May 6 at 11:59 PM ET. So it’s not just about getting to 4K — we know BBN will take care of business there — it’s also about doing it the fastest to not just keep games in Lexington, but more importantly, keep La Familia out of Louisville should (when) they make it out of the regional.
Should La Familia get to 4K the fastest, they will come in at No. 1 overall in the Home Court Advantage rankings, ensuring Lexington will not only host the regional, but also the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals no matter what. If The Ville sells 4K tickets faster than La Familia, they would have the right to host the highly anticipated rematch in the quarterfinals back in Louisville — again. And we can’t be having that.
Those 10 teams and eight regions are the only ones allowed to host a quarterfinal, semifinal or the championship, so if The Ville were to lose their regional and La Familia won ours, the quarterfinal will be in Lexington no matter what (and vice versa). But we can avoid any location drama by selling out 4K right away and winning games in the comfort of our own home inside Historic Memorial Coliseum.

That’s why they’ve already announced Willie Cauley-Stein — the 2024 TBT Defensive Player of the Year — as a returning piece to anchor the roster, plus the new additions of Doron Lamb and DeAndre Liggins in 2025
There will be two other big-time pieces returning from last year’s squad that are absolutely guaranteed to get fans fired up
plenty more to go as La Familia builds a championship-contending roster this summer
Last year’s group made it to the TBT semifinals in Philadelphia
This one will be capable of winning the whole thing — but they need your help
creating the ultimate Home Court Advantage from start to finish
All it takes is a pre-sale ticket victory starting on Friday

the Indiana Pacers find themselves in a three-team battle for the No
which would give them homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs
the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons are fighting for that spot as well
They are 0.5 games ahead of Milwaukee and one game ahead of the Pistons in the standings
the Pacers control their own destiny and could secure homecourt advantage
there is a major problem standing in their way that does not bode well for their playoff success
If the season ended today
the Pacers would enter the playoffs as the No
This would be a rematch from last year's first-round matchup
only the Pacers would be the team with homecourt advantage instead
They defeated the Bucks last year in the playoffs and would be in a better position to do it again
the Bucks have had their number all season
The Pacers and Bucks have already had their four regular season matchups already. In those games, the Bucks went 3-1. Additionally, the Bucks won all three of their games by seven or more points, whereas the Pacers won their sole game of the season series by one point. While Indiana's victory was meaningful (and proved that they are a feared team in the clutch)
with the Pacers finishing 4-1 over the Bucks
Indiana still matches up well with the Bucks
There is a lot of basketball left before the playoffs start
and the Pacers are in a good spot to compete and make a deep playoff run for the second year in a row
the regular season does not matter anymore once the playoffs come around
and it is all about the present and future
this is still something to keep in mind regardless as the Pacers could have a season-ending problem on their hands

Dillon Brooks led the way for the Rockets with 24 points
Houston came out to start the game with a big sense of urgency
Dillon Brooks was able to get the Rockets off to a quick 6-0 start due to taking advantage of his size with Steph Curry defending him
a change of speed in the Warriors' control got them up 8-6 before the Rockets tied it
leading to a timeout called by Golden State
the Warriors got a nine-point lead due to their ball movement and off-ball screens
which caused the Rockets to get lost on defense and give up open three-pointers
Amen Thompson took control over the ball to end the first quarter
Houston was able to cut Golden State's lead from 11 points to just six to end the period
Steven Adams and Alperen Sengun stopped the Warriors from driving into the lane
forcing them to shoot while they were cold
Golden State also started 0-for-4 from the free throw line
and getting him the ball was very effective in getting a lead
The end of the second quarter got chippy after Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green started chirping as well as Sengun and Green
and pushed the pace in order to maintain their lead
Green went up for a layup and elbowed Sengun in the face
and the intensity of the game got even higher
which helped them maintain their lead throughout the quarter
Thompson led the Rockets to start the fourth quarter
Frustration started to settle in for the Warriors towards the end of the fourth quarter
and it led to their defense becoming too tight
Curry was playing too tough up on Jalen Green
leading Green to find an open three once again
leading to a turnover off of Curry's foot
Steve Kerr then subbed in Golden State's third unit
The Rockets face the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night at Intuit Dome

I received an exclusive Neroli Leaf sample pre-launch
so the notes of crisp apple and neroli blossom are currently in a modest white spray bottle
This didn't affect my experience in the slightest.I tested it in my apartment
Two spritzes in the living and two in my bedroom
The scent is wonderful and actually gives off sparkly cleaning-product scent undertones for the first few minutes
but it made me feel as though the spray was triumphing over the everlasting pot roast smell in my apartment (my neighbors love a good crockpot dinner)
It took about an hour for the Neroli Leaf scent to completely dissipate — while this falls under the definition of "temporary," the on-site description does say multiple uses may be necessary depending on room size
During that hour the lingering scents were apparent
The pot roast smell did eventually come back through my vents
but I was thoroughly impressed by its absence for that hour or two.“Homecourt products are all unique & lovely
INDIANAPOLIS -- In the first three quarters of their game Tuesday night against the worst team in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers never had a lead greater than one point and they trailed by as many as 16
They never held a lead greater than three points until the final 91 seconds of the game
and even against a team with far more organizational incentive to lose than to win
they couldn't feel confident in victory until the game's final minute
Their 104 points were a season-low for a win and they shot a season-worst 37.9% from the floor
Despite their tendency to play down to lottery-bound opponents
they haven't lost to a team that has been eliminated from postseason play since their Feb
4 defeat at the hands of a Portland team that seems to be on the ascent
Brooklyn and Philadelphia in the the past month
embarrassment and the feeling that they'd given away a game that they needed
"The great part about games like these is you just have to figure out a way to win," Haliburton said
Obviously we're in a time right now where we're competing for home court and every game matters
The Pacers have now won more games this season than last season with Tuesday's win marking victory No
48 after last year's team won 47 games before reaching the Eastern Conference finals
They have matched the 2017-18 and 2018-19 teams for the highest win total since the Pacers last cleared 50 wins when they finished 56-26 in 2013-14
finally sewing it up and avoiding the play-in round with a win on the season's last day
the Pacers have already assured themselves with three games to play that they will finish no worse than fifth
4 seed and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday night
needing a Timberwolves win over the Bucks to get it done
Minnesota led by 20 points heading into the fourth quarter and by as many as 24 early in the period but were outscored 40-13 in the fourth to lose 110-103 and the Bucks hope for the No
meaning they only need one more win or one more Bucks loss to get it done
These mark incremental steps for the Pacers in their rebuild from a 25-57 record and a roster flip in 2021-22
The acquisition of Haliburton at the trade deadline in 2022 led the Pacers' front office to quickly rethink their rebuilding plans and after a 35-47 season in 2022-23 got the ball rolling
they've combined to win 95 games over their past two seasons with a second straight playoff run coming
"We feel like we've really built something special here in the last two years," Haliburton said
the majority of this team was not here outside of T.J
(McConnell) and Myles (Turner.) It's cool to see what we've built and what we'll continue to build moving forward."
The Pacers' performance on Tuesday night did not provide the greatest vision of what has been built
they might have suffered a defeat if they weren't playing a team so deeply invested in the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes
The Wizards are long since eliminated from postseason contention and at 17-62
their record is just one game better than that of the Utah Jazz
Lottery odds are flat for the teams with the worst three records in the league the Wizards are in no danger of improving beyond that
but keeping wins down would also help them if they don't win or place or show in the lottery because it limits the extent to which they can fall backward
They entered Tuesday's game with no organizational incentive to win and more to lose
The Wizards made several fourth quarter decisions that appeared to show an understanding of the assignment
2 overall pick and a Rookie of the Year candidate
dished out six assists and blocked three shots
posting a +16 plus-minus figure in 32 minutes on the floor
but subbed out with 6:17 to go in the fourth and the Wizards leading 84-81 and did not return
the team's leading scorer heading into the game with 20.5 points per game
scored 19 points in 19 minutes and was +14 in 5:39 in the third quarter but didn't play at all in the fourth
"They were the more forceful team," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said
they've been a difficult team to play all year
The last game at Washington where we made every shot
You come off a big win in Denver and you beat these guys by 100 points two weeks ago and it just feels like we're just gonna show up and it's just never like that
They played with some real venom in the first quarter and the first half and in large part because of the last time we played them
All-Star forward Pascal Siakam scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his return after missing Sunday's game with right elbow bursitis
Turner had 14 points and 11 rebounds and perhaps most notably five blocked shots
helping hold the Wizards to 41.8% shooting
The Pacers' largest lead was their final one
but it was still a lead so they reached one milestone and took another step closer to another one
"What says that we're supposed to win by a certain number
Everybody who is dressing out there is playing for something
We can say that they're a lottery team or whatever
DENVER (AP) — Point guard Jamal Murray is back and so is the Denver Nuggets' lethal two-star game alongside Nikola Jokic just in time for the playoffs
Murray scored 15 points in his return to the Nuggets' lineup Friday night after missing six games with a sprained ankle and he hit a couple of clutch shots in the fourth quarter that helped Denver rally past the Memphis Grizzlies 117-109
Jokic had his 34th triple-double of the season and in the process became just the third player in NBA history to average a triple-double for the season
joining his current teammate Russell Westbrook and Basketball Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson
Jokic looked much more comfortable with Murray back on the court with him
“You could tell he was exhausted,” interim coach David Adelman said
And to watch those guys play the two-man game at the end
And the unselfishness of the other three guys to get out of the way ..
The Nuggets closed the game on a 14-1 run and Adelman said
“One point given up in the last six minutes is absolutely incredible
We're a team that's won big games for a long time
We understand the DNA of that kind of game
Murray had a pair of baskets in the closing run to finish 5-of-12 from the floor while Jokic scored eight of his 26 points in those final six minutes of dominance
“I was trying to shoot myself into rhythm,” Murray said
That's enough to take you out of your rhythm a little bit
but I'm just happy for everybody that got in the game
we played with energy and urgency like there was something on the line because there was.”
He also had seven assists and five defensive rebounds
Murray had last played March 26 against the Milwaukee Bucks. During his absence, the Nuggets lost a season-high four consecutive games, a skid that culminated with the Tuesday firings of coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth
who helped bring Denver its first NBA title in 2023 but who had long clashed
Denver, which snapped its skid with a 124-116 win at Sacramento on Thursday night
The Nuggets wrap up the regular season Sunday at Houston
the vice chairman of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment
said he was hopeful the odd timing of the dismissals would spark the Nuggets heading into the playoffs
"Coach always had my back from a young kid coming into this league up until now
He always had my back and was always getting me in good spirits
He was always setting the tone in that regard
But we're still going to maintain contact.”

“I’m one of those people who love design,” she says
referring to her seaside Malibu house of 17 years
launch into 2025 with an ambitious retail strategy
“I want Homecourt to be a household name,” Cox said during an interview at this year’s Inc. 5000 Conference
“I think it’s limitless what we could do.”
the brand is a homage to the hit 1990s sitcom Friends
in which Cox’s character is a passionate clean freak
Homecourt doesn’t have nearly the same name recognition as its creator
who is preparing to star in the seventh film in the Scream franchise
as well as direct a true-crime thriller for Jason Bateman’s production company
and it’s not just because Monica Geller from Friends is on board
After a year of selling directly to consumers through Homecourt’s website
and another year of cultivating more than 100 boutiques
Homecourt began its rollout in national retailers Bluemercury and Nordstrom
For the luxury cosmetics retailer and the high-end department store
carrying cleaning products remains somewhat new
They’re viewing the products they use every day as a form of self-care
That really highlighted to me that this was going to be the next category in beauty retailers,” says Jahnke
that you will be buying your home products in beauty stores in the future
and Homecourt is already paving that way.”
The first thing you need as a celebrity-fueled brand is authentic product-market fit
a former investment banker turned venture investor
understood early the home care connection with Cox
Mekkaoui helped align the stars so the company could get off the ground
can shave both time and expense off the startup process
help explain the rise of celebrity-fueled companies and shed light on the direct-to-consumer industry’s recent full-scale offensive into omnichannel
who had previously founded investment firm Jobi Capital
after taking companies like HelloFresh and the Berlin-based Delivery Hero public
had known Cox socially for several years before they broached the subject of working together
before moving to New York City in 1984 to pursue acting and modeling
has maintained a three-decade-long tradition of hosting Sunday dinner parties
to which she invites a revolving cast of characters; it’s how she met her current partner
Mekkaoui had long been struck by the fact that Cox’s home felt so deliberately crafted
“I knew she would be a great person to build something
considering her attention to detail,” he says
The conversation evolved into business-development talks and centered on making design-forward
when so many people were homebound and obsessing over their living spaces
was about to head off to college and Cox would have more time on her hands
Mekkaoui had been getting a lot of inbound interest from various celebrity-led brands
these businesses reached scale in such a short period of time,” he says
he and longtime business partner Ryan Nelson in 2020 launched Jobi Brands
with Homecourt as its first in-house incubated brand
a pet care and wellness brand co-founded by actor Kaley Cuoco
the candle idea wasn’t ambitious enough for Jahnke
who had worked in fragrance-brand management for luxury brands Viktor&Rolf and Proenza Schouler before meeting Mekkaoui through a former business school classmate
If she was going to give up gainful employment at L’Oréal in New York City and move to L.A
Jahnke pitched a scaled-up vision for the business
which has expanded its retail footprint to 111 locations from 60 independent boutiques at the end of 2023
has been growing its sales by more than 100 percent each year
(She declined to provide company financials including revenue and funding
but confirms that the business expects to reach profitability next year.)
fine fragrance tends to be sticky and almost a necessity for consumers
“We Millennials may not be able to buy a house
the market for household surface cleaners was projected to reach $7.2 billion in the U.S
according to a 2023 market report from Mintel
and we want to be in every room of your home,” she says
she notes that Homecourt’s higher price point might limit the company’s impact
It doesn’t work in a lot of stores.” And that’s OK
the brand doesn’t need ubiquity—it needs frequency
you could do worse than have Courteney Cox on your team
she gained 10 million followers and a 15 percent engagement rate within two years
with several notching close to one billion views
The joyful posts range from the random I-went-to-the-dentist-and-came-home-with-fangs to fan favorites
like a video in which Cox explains to Laura Dern that in reality she bears no resemblance to her Friends character
while she fastidiously reorganizes her Homecourt hand-and-dish-washing station
Cox’s fame has been an accelerant for the brand
And that has made pitching $45 room deodorant or $56 body butter easier
particularly when Cox’s famous friends help amplify the message
“We’ve had independent boutiques reach out to us
telling us that Courteney’s celebrity friends like Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman would stop in and say
‘You need Homecourt in your store!’ ” says Jahnke
That kind of word of mouth has been key for Homecourt’s expansion
quickly noting that Homecourt wants to avoid getting swept away by hype
“We have patiently pushed back and have not expanded just for expansion’s sake.”
A buyer from the cosmetics retailer reached out to Homecourt just after the company’s launch in January 2022
Mindful of the opportunity but aware of the startup’s limitations
temporarily eschewing wholesale for DTC and popups
Homecourt still wasn’t ready to commit when the Bluemercury buyer reached out again in March 2023
“We wanted to test and learn with smaller specialty accounts that we saw as strategic,” says Jahnke
as would renowned interior designer Amber Lewis’s Amber Interiors
Jahnke noticed something that led the founders to reconsider their stance on Bluemercury and other chains
the Homecourt CEO said she saw a halo effect from the company’s retail footprint on its DTC business
After launching in three boutiques in the state
Jahnke says web traffic and revenue from shoppers in Iowa had tripled
“This indicated to us that the wholesale channel was an awareness driver in addition to having volume-driving potential,” says Jahnke
After meeting with Bluemercury in Miami in May 2024
Homecourt agreed to launch in three locations starting in October
The company also minted a deal to launch in Nordstrom locations in New York and Los Angeles around the same time
Bluemercury says it plans to roll out Homecourt more expansively
after the company updates its 100 percent compostable (read: rough cardboard) exterior packaging to be sleeker
Even given the growth of the brand’s physical footprint
the most exciting metric both Mekkaoui and Jahnke tout is Homecourt’s high repeat customer rate
About 40 percent of shoppers have come back for more
and 20 percent returned three times or more
Jahnke says the six-person team asked users to send in pictures of Homecourt products in their home
“Some people were leaving it in their entryway as a piece of decor,” she says
“I don’t think any other surface spray or dish soap or room spray has done that before.”
the celebrity connection is a big part of Homecourt’s growing prowess
Having had the experience of raising tech funds and investing in a lot of consumer-tech businesses
he says you have to raise a lot of money to acquire customers
is pushing many of the formerly DTC-only contingent toward brick-and-mortar and omnichannel
“What’s great about the celebrity world is that you’re minimizing marketing costs in a very short period of time to establish a brand that would’ve cost you millions,” he says
But that’s when all goes according to plan
and having the right team are all key components in terms of having a successful business,” adds Mekkaoui
Celebrity-brand fails do most assuredly happen; Jared Leto’s hair and body care brand
But the cause can often stem from the absence or breakdown of one or more of these pillars
Money can help mask a brand’s shaky trajectory
There has to be passion and full commitment—and “people have to want it,” says Mekkaoui
“It’s not just about how do we get this company up and running and how can we make money and exit
I want to keep making great stuff because I’m proud of it and I think it’s worth every single person having it

but the Sacramento Kings took care of business in the final game of the season
the Kings used a strong shooting performance from three-point range to pull away and never looked back
They finished the day 14-of-34 (41.2%) from deep compared to 15-of-44 (34.1%) for the Suns
The biggest surprise of the day was Jonas Valančiūnas leading all players with 22 points
The backup big came in and instantly made his presence felt
going against the younger and smaller Suns backup bigs
Valančiūnas also chipped in 10 rebounds and 4 assists
And it wasn't just Valančiūnas who played well off the bench
Trey Lyles chipped in 11 points and Devin Carter continued to impress with energy and hustle
but added five rebounds and continued his full-court pressure and disruption of opponent's ball handlers
Grayson Allen led the way with 20 points and 5 assists
they weren't able to get much of anything going on offense
While they didn't have to play big minutes, all three of the Kings stars looked good in their time on the court. Sabonis specifically showed his range from beyond the arc, making all four of his three-point attempts.
His four threes tied his career-high for made threes in a game, and is the most he's made this season. While Sabonis has had his best shooting season from beyond the arc, him making four of four heading into the the play-in game should be huge for his confidence.
Domantas Sabonis ends the regular season above 40 3P% for the first time in his career. He also doubled his attempts from the season prior (2.2).He credited the hours spent working on his shot with Doug Christie and hopes to keep it up for the rest of his career.
He's a bit of a streaky shooter, not only in his makes but his volume. Him taking the shot with confidence against the Mavericks could be crucial on Wednesday.
The other exciting moment of the game was the return of Terence Davis to the court. With the game in hand, Davis played the last 7:53 minutes of the game.
He didn't score, missing both of his field goal attempts, but got a nice cheer from the crowd when he checked in. As part of the original Beam Team, Davis is a fan-favorite and it's nice to see him make it back to NBA action after an achiles tear and time in the G-League.
While the win today took care of business, the Kings real test comes Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. With two (potential) must-win games on the horizon, Sacramento will need to be ready to go from the jump against Anthony Davis and the Mavs.

The No. 3 seed New York Knicks are set to face the No. 6 seed Detroit Pistons in a first-round playoff series that’s already stirring up drama — and not just on the court
Two franchises with vastly different paths are headed into this matchup with something to prove
reaching the second round for a third straight year
and finally unleashing a fully healthy roster they’ve rarely had the chance to use
it’s about marking their return to the playoffs for the first time since 2019
hunting their first postseason win since 2008
it’s about keeping Knicks fans out of their building
In a surprising move, the Pistons have implemented a policy restricting ticket sales to fans with billing addresses outside the Detroit area
“Orders by customers with a billing address outside the restricted sales area will be canceled without notice
and those customers will receive a refund.”
Sound familiar? It should. The Philadelphia 76ers tried a similar tactic during last year’s playoff series against New York
purchasing 2,000 tickets for local fans ahead of Game 6
That game also happened to be their last of the season
Regular season or playoffs — it doesn’t matter
Resale platforms are already listing tickets for as low as $91
making it possible for blue and orange to flood Little Caesars Arena regardless of the Pistons' policy
Detroit might be trying to crank up the local crowd noise
it’s that Knicks fans are hard to keep out — and even harder to drown out

The calendar has turned to March and for Indiana women’s basketball
it’s time to show its true colors at the Big Ten Tournament.
9 game against Oregon would’ve set Indiana back toward the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble
a win would have given the Hoosiers a sure-fire chance at appearing in the Big Dance.
Indiana did its job, playing a complete game against Oregon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, winning 78-62 on Thursday.
The Hoosiers previously fell victim to the Ducks on Jan
after squandering a double-digit lead at Matthew Knight Arena
Indiana head coach Teri Moren said postgame that the loss could potentially be partially attributed to West Coast travel
the Ducks — plus whoever else the Hoosiers play this weekend — will have to deal with Hoosier Nation over its shoulder.
The Hoosiers are the closest Big Ten team to Indianapolis in terms of travel as it’s just an hour from home
Their fans recognized that they needed a win Thursday and showed up in a big way
Moren said after many of the Hoosiers’ road losses this season that her team needs to bring the same intensity as if it were playing in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall
the fans brought the energy that exists in Assembly Hall with them
drowning out the few Oregon fans in attendance
“Some might say that this is a home game for us
your defense needs to travel and your offensive execution needs to travel.”
The Hoosiers came out to a meteoric start in the first quarter
Junior guard Shay Ciezki led her squad in the period as she had 11 points in the quarter and 17 total in the game
Ciezki’s contribution for Indiana was the X-factor in the game Thursday
Her ability to assist and space the floor opened the game up for Indiana offensively
Indiana can seemingly always count on a great performance from fellow junior guard Yarden Garzon
Garzon also struggled against Oregon in the first matchup
hitting six 3-pointers on 51% field goal shooting
While the Hoosiers did benefit mightily from their fans showing up and making their presence felt
Oregon’s first offensive possession ended with a travel
which was caused by the hard-nosed Hoosiers’ defense
playing great defense and only turned the ball over 12 times
It capitalized on Oregon turnovers with 20 points off the Ducks’ miscues
Next up for Indiana is USC, the current No. 2 team in the country. In the first meeting between the two, Indiana had its chances to take down the Trojans, but fell 73-66
If a couple baskets went Indiana’s way in the regular season matchup
Indiana will again face the Trojans in an environment it clearly feels very comfortable in.
“(There is) a lot of motivation,” Ciezki said postgame
we were the underdogs today and the same thing goes for tomorrow
We’re just going to be locked in like we were today
We have a whole day and night to get our heads wrapped around USC.”
Indiana knows what it has to do to defeat the Trojans
it just has to go out and execute defensively against the recently minted Big Ten Player of the Year in USC sophomore guard JuJu Watkins
If the Hoosiers play with the same energy they did Thursday
they will have a chance to eliminate the regular season champions and also get closer to a championship of their own
