Seine-et-Marne
like all the other departments in the Paris region
has planned a rich program of discoveries and events for the relay of the Olympic flame in its territory
The Flame will continue its journey to Pontault-Combault, the department's fourth largest city, before criss-crossing the towns of Lagny-sur-Marne and Torcy. It will make a stopover in Melun, then in Vaires-sur-Marne
where it will illuminate the nautical base
the venue for future Olympic canoeing androwing competitions
The route continues to Chelles, passing through the medieval town of Provins
It will stop near the Caesar tower and ramparts
where a variety of activities will transport us into a veritable time machine
with events planned to transport us back in time
thanks to its historic towers and ramparts
The day ends in Meaux, where you can enjoy the Pâtis park and taste the famous Brie de Meaux. The Musée de la Grande Guerre will also offer opportunities for cultural discovery
The flame will travel along the quays to the island before crossing the Pont Foch
The day will end with a ceremony at the Georges Tauziet sports complex
bringing the Olympic Flame's journey through Seine-et-Marne to a festive close
entertainment and a DJ evening are on the program for the final venue
Please note that the times shown are approximate and subject to change depending on the organization and the hazards of the route
The flame not only symbolizes unity and diversity
but also reflects Seine-et-Marne's passion and commitment to sport and culture
It will be an opportunity for residents and visitors to actively participate in the Olympic spirit
strengthening the bond between generations and the different cultures present in the département. In Seine-et-Marne
six residents have been chosen by the Département to carry the illustrious Olympic Flame
from diverse backgrounds such as top-level sport
share a common passion for sport and Olympic values
Each and every one of them, through their careers and achievements, embodies the values of Olympism and shows that the sporting spirit can truly lead to extraordinary achievements. They are a source of inspiration to us all, and emblematic figures for Seine-et-Marne during this Olympic period
The torch relayroute in Seine-et-Marne promises to be a memorable event
So we're getting ready all over the department to set up along the route and support the torchbearers in what promises to be an exceptional atmosphere
we won't be missing the festive closing ceremony in Meaux (Brie de Meaux is a must!)

From the team that finished in 18th place at Egypt 2021
Brazil came to Poland/Sweden 2023 with only seven players
marking a major overhaul of the roster in the past two years
with several young stalwarts being ushered into the side
as coach Marcus Oliveira has been trying to inject some much-needed youth into the squad which is still one of the most experienced in the competition with an average age of 28.4 years
One of the players making his debut at the IHF Men’s World Championship is Jean-Pierre Dupoux
a left wing with only three international matches under his belt
He is 31 and has played plenty of matches in the French first league at club level
So how did a player whose name sounds 100% French break into Brazil’s squad for Poland/Sweden 2023
my mother is Brazilian and my father is French
Morocco and Thailand and eventually settled in France
only going to Brazil on vacations,” says Dupoux
“France was the country where I discovered handball
I fell in love with the sport after I also played some football and I started training more when I was 14 years old
I signed up for Pontault-Combault Handball
I started handball because of my friends and I will always be in debt to them,” says Dupoux
Dupoux has been in flawless form in the French second league for his club side
being the top goal scorer in the competition in the previous season with 231 goals
the 31-year-old left wing is also the top scorer with 116 goals in 15 matches
Breaking into France’s roster was almost impossible due to the current system in place
with plenty of talent in all positions on the court
who has played all of his club career for Pontault-Combault Handball
making him eligible to be a part of the South American squad
who talked to the Brazilian federation once again last year
and everything started to click from that moment on,” adds Brazil’s left wing
I was really excited because it was a dream to be here
at the World Championship and represent Brazil
I said yes and I started preparing for the competition for my debut
I got an amazing reception and I am feeling at home here.”
Speaking the Portuguese language helped him settle in immediately and the results could be seen as Dupoux has been Brazil’s top scorer at the 2023 IHF Men’s World Championship
a performance which has seen him climb to the ninth place in the top goal scorer standings
He was also the standout player for Brazil in their most significant result so far in the competition
Immediately he settled into the team and started delivering the needed performances
being both a good scorer and a team player
“We instantly clicked and it has been an amazing journey
one that I could not have thought of a few years back
to deliver some good performances and play in a World Championship tournament
because it is the dream of every player to be able to deliver on the biggest of stages,” adds the 31-year-old left wing
and Dupoux will aim even higher with Brazil and his club team
While the South American side only have an outside chance of a berth in the quarter-finals
they really proved themselves at Poland/Sweden 2023 as they drew with Portugal and lost by only three goals against Hungary
Their last match in the competition will be against Iceland
a crucial match for the European side who faces a must-win situation to qualify
“We want to finish the competition on a high and prove ourselves against the best teams in the world,” concludes Dupoux

A dramatic scene unfolded in Reims, France on Saturday morning as French police engaged in a high-speed chase to track down two truckloads of stolen Moët & Chandon worth over $650,000
The Champagne was reported missing to authorities by an unnamed Reims-based distribution company sometime between the night of Nov
Thanks to the tracking devices every lorry in the Champagne region is equipped with
it wouldn’t take long for the French police to locate the trucks transporting the stolen bubbles after the initial call
Two police cars identified the trucks near Pontault-Combault
the two thieves attempted to throw the authorities off their tails by swerving in and out of traffic
One officer was eventually able to force one truck to slow
but its driver jumped out of the vehicle and into a sedan to escape
the driver of the second truck exited the motorway at the next available off-ramp before ditching the loaded vehicle
The second truck was located hours later with the driver nowhere in sight
An investigation is currently underway to find the drivers of the vehicles
each bottle remained intact during the pursuit and was recovered safely
has yet to release a statement regarding the heist
The Queen anthem echoed through the Stark Arena in Belgrade: “We are the champions
no time for losers…” The Paris Saint-Germain Judo women’s team have won the Champions League for the first time
The PSG ladies defeated their compatriots from JC Pontault Combault 3:0 in the final
Lucy Renshall (-63) and Marie-Eve Gahie (-70) securing the early decision
Romane Dicko (+70) and Amandine Buchard (-52) didn’t have to compete anymore
we’re happy to have lived up to our role as favourites
The only thing missing for the perfect day was for our men to win too
We would have loved to celebrate with them
But we are really proud to have won this first title for the club – ahead of the footballers and handballers
now we’re at the top for the first time
As a reminder: PSG’s star football team were beaten 0:1 by Bayern Munich in the 2020 Champions League final in Lisbon
while the handball team were beaten 23:24 by Skopje in the 2017 Final Four
It’s wonderful that we’re now first
Paris Saint Germain were also untouched on their way to the final
beating JC Bosna/BIH 3-0 and Galatasaray Istanbul/TUR) 3-1

But grocery fans might want to add one more stop to their travel list: Costco
If you're starting at your screen like it has five heads, why don't you direct your gaze toward this recent Instagram post from @costcobuys instead
The Costco enthusiast's account served up a heaping helping of wanderlust-worthy content in a video showcasing so many delicious desserts from a warehouse in France.
How about all of them? The video pans to cream puffs that look positively and perfectly flaky, tarts with a fluffy (and probably tangy-sweet) topping, donuts, flan, carrot cake and more
"How about putting them in America?" a follower commented
Or how about booking a trip to France? (Costco Travel can help you book it
for what it's worth.) Here are more delectable deets on the bakery section in Costco France.

The lemon counts as fruit, right? If they were anything like the lemon cheesecake, which our reviewer called the "perfect summer dessert," the tartlets likely flew off the shelves
