Text description provided by the architects. The site is located north of the town in a location known as "Les Pins de Gouaillard et la Liberté" alongside the 824 Departmental road. The main access is from Avenue des Lacs via the Chemin du Golf. A country road, that crosses the site, gives access to pedestrians and cyclists, notably from Lac de Christus. © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSEncumbered by many ecological constraints throughout the entire site (the presence of protected species such as the false ringlet butterfly coenonympha oedippus and the European Nightjar caprimulgus europaeus and the proximity of wetlands and the Gouaillard stream) that influenced our design to produce Plaine des Sports, a dense and efficient area. © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSThe stand acts as an architectural signal, a line in the landscape visible in both directions from the 824 Departmental Road. Perpendicular to the road, its location makes it visible in a "green tracking", a careful balance between planting and the presence of technical equipment (lighting masts, ball nets). © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSThe stand emerges subtly from the ground, embedded into the site topography. The two levels of facilities absorb the natural slope of the site. This layout meets the functional requirements with facilities open to the public on the ground floor and spaces dedicated to sportsmen in continuity with the main playing field. SectionThe entrance sequence, from the forecourt through the filter barriers in timber stakes on towards the stand ambulatories, gives spectators a panoramic view over the Plaine des Sports. © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSConsistent with our design intent, planned as "sports terraces", the playing fields are linked in successive degressive steps along a west-east axis. The site slopes down 7m from its north-west highpoint. © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSOutbuildings dedicated to plant and changing rooms create a second architectural focus in the landscape. Wedged between playing fields #2 and #3, this simple building is covered with timber sheets that project beyond its gables. These facades act as a reference point within site. © Stephane Aboudaram | WE ARE CONTENTSIn addition to a Plaine des Sports our proposal provides a park for open air activities inhabited by regional species due to the attention given to the surrounding environment You'll now receive updates based on what you follow Personalize your stream and start following your favorite authors If you have done all of this and still can't find the email Sign up for our daily Newsletter and stay up to date with all the latest news You are receiving this pop-up because this is the first time you are visiting our site You are using software which is blocking our advertisements (adblocker) we are relying on revenues from our banners So please disable your adblocker and reload the page to continue using this site. Thanks Last year was particularly difficult for European Zespri growers due to extreme weather conditions “the orchards are bouncing back with very promising volumes expected.” The French and Italian production of SunGold yellow kiwis went up by 25% compared to 2022 (+33% and +22% for France and Italy thanks to favorable weather conditions and new orchards coming into production SunGold kiwis should be present on French shelves until the first half of 2024 Zespri thus continues to strengthen its European production and extend its presence in stores throughout the year Italy has 1,000 growers on 2,700 hectares (Emilia-Romagna and Lazio) Promotional operation at Paris Saint-Lazare station“The steady increase in volumes produced each year in Europe confirms that yellow kiwis have clearly found their place on the French market,” according to Zespri which organized a promotional operation at the Saint-Lazare train station in Paris last week to mark the start of the campaign distribution of SunGold yellow kiwis and goodies Zespri is also stepping up its communication campaign with digital posters and increased presence on social networks FreshPublishers © 2005-2025 FreshPlaza.com Our fact checking systematically raises standards in public debate and changes the behaviour of powerful actors We’re campaigning to tackle bad information online protect our elections and improve the quality of information in public debate Our policy work aims to improve the information environment in order to protect and encourage good public debate We’re a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find Photos of a swimming pool with visitors placed between social distancing screens in the water are not real This is genuine footage taken at the reopening of a spa in France Photos of a swimming pool, shared on Facebook show swimmers divided by plastic screens during a class A caption next to the post says: “Please someone tell me this is not real.” The images are genuine, taken from a French news broadcast recorded in January 2022, reporting on the reopening of a thermal spa. Every year, this coliseum in the Havana municipality of Playa also becomes the main venue for Circuba, an international event considered as “the circus bridge of the Americas to the world.” The proven technical and artistic quality and virtuosity that distinguish Cuba’s circus artists today have sparked interest among businesspeople from other parts of the world who want them for their own companies. The Compañía Havana circus group, which has won two awards and the 2013 Circuba Gran Prix (with their popular “Flying Trapeze” or “Flight of the Bird” act) is now the country’s top troupe, and markets its circus acts around the world. This international impact, which is based on the influence of the Soviet circus from previous decades and the existence of the National Circus School (Escuela Nacional de Circo), has become the main incentive for Cuban artists who face a local shortage of industry jobs. The challenge for continuing to develop this profession—given low wages and the reality of having just the Carpa Trompoloco—is to promote other locations where shows can be held that meet the requirements of this performing art. Behind every artist there are many years of effort and professional training to achieve a quality act. Sacrifice and perseverance are essential for being at one’s best in front of the audience. So, what is it that drives Cuban circus artists? What encourages them to continue presenting their art in the ring? Talented young gymnast Iyolexán Torres Álvarez (31), another member of the group, has a tattoo on his left shoulder that alludes to the famous Canadian company Cirque du Soleil. His aerial silks act earned him one of the collateral prizes in the latest Cuban circus event, granted by the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC). The circus is on the rise, and with it, Cuba’s practitioners of this centuries-old art are enjoying their best moment. While the most attention today is going to major productions marked by theatrical elements—Cirque du Soleil style—the professionals in this specialty are a mix of a wise correlation between the old and the new, the guidelines that are defining the circus arts of today.
