Heim watched a massive lead of nearly 16 seconds evaporate with a late-race yellow It eventually got pushed into double overtime where Heim had to fend off rivals from literally all sides After being put in the middle of a three-wide situation at the white flag, he drove it very deep into Turn 1, holding onto the lead -- and win -- while Daniel Hemric was forced to settle for second. However, the driver to his outside at the pivotal moment was Ben Rhodes and he fell all the way back to sixth after being pushed out of the groove .. watching the replay with how I was ran in three and four by Heim," explained Rhodes in his FOX Sports 1 interview That's why all those wrecks kept happening And that's what opened up for three wide down the front stretch "We were leading -- or it felt like we were leading it's just it all stems from that corner back there (Turns 3/4) When you get pushed up out of the groove and you start having to come out of the gas That's a big deal and that's what opens up for three-wide racing but when you have an opportunity to win races with this playoff format So we have to capitalize on that, when we can but that's racing in the Truck series and that's why it's so exciting for all the fans." Heim later responded to Rhodes' comments in the winner's press conference and no He saw nothing wrong with his tactics and pushed back on Rhodes' statements "I feel like he would have done the same thing as would anyone coming to the white flag," said Heim Probably just him in the heat of the moment but yeah We're coming to the white flag of a race that everyone's trying to win and you don't want me to push you out of the groove From Formula 1 to MotoGP we report straight from the paddock because we love our sport In order to keep delivering our expert journalism we want to give you the opportunity to enjoy an ad-free and tracker-free website and to continue using your adblocker Install the TJR Wrestling web app for instant access to the very latest news and reviews Cody Rhodes is on his way back to WWE television Cody Rhodes suffered the most high-profile and perhaps most crushing defeat of his career Rhodes walked into the main event as the Undisputed WWE Champion, but he walked out with an unwanted piece of history. Rhodes will now forever be remembered as the man who John Cena pinned to become World Champion for a record 17th time Rhodes appeared to be closing on victory until Travis Scott made his presence felt Although the American Nightmare managed to hit Scott with a Cross Rhodes the Hip Hop star later pulled the referee out of the ring as the champion looked to retain his title Rhodes’ desire to do the right thing proved to be his downfall as he refused to hit Cena with the title belt This allowed Cena to land a low blow and his own shot with the belt to snatch the win Rhodes was last seen heading back to his tour bus with wife Brandi after turning down a backstage interview Cody Rhodes hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since that defeat to Cena but it seems a comeback isn’t too far away The American Nightmare is now being advertised for SmackDown on May 16, the first episode of the show after Backlash six days earlier. Rhodes North Tavern and live music venue nestled in the heart of Sloatsburg with its final night under current ownership set for next Friday sent ripples through the local community on Friday morning “RHODES NORTH TAVERN has been sold!!!” she wrote confirming the news that had already sparked swirling rumors The venue will host a “Farewell Rhodes Party” with longtime favorite band Mr LoveJoy to cap off more than two decades of memories Rhodes North in Sloatsburg was established by Tyler Rhodes over 20 years ago Rhodes quickly became more than just a place to eat and drink—it became a way of life From its legendary Thursday Wing Nights (wings were $0.10/each back in the 00’s) to the close-quarters stage that welcomed thousands of musicians Rockland’s version of Sam Malone from Cheers – became a fixture of the community A pivotal renovation in the 2010s brought fresh energy to the venue but also for a unique clientele that included a loyal group of motorcycle enthusiasts with big hearts and louder engines Rhodes wasn’t just a bar—it was Rockland’s answer to Easy Rider The roots of its musical tradition go deep In a story befitting the Tavern’s spirited legacy the first band to ever play there—Suffern Succotash—set off the security alarm by mistake by showing up hat in hand unannounced before the grand opening Tyler welcomed them to perform just days later That initial warm-hearted chaos set the tone for what Rhodes would become its humble stage has seen the likes of local and renowned acts alike from Dave Keyes and Rusty Paul of the Les Paul family and a loyal cast of local favorites including “The Band Crasher.” Sloatsburg native Melissa from the band HUSHH is scheduled to return one last time with LAST MINUTE BAND for a Saturday night sendoff on May 3rd but his vision lived on through his daughter Jenny and the Rhodes family For the past several years Jenny continued to carry the torch keeping the spirit of the Tavern alive through laughter gourmet meal or even a breather outside on the back deck in between musical sets the legacy of Rhodes Tavern will remain etched into the hearts of thousands who crossed its threshold the new owners have “big plans,” and while the community is saying goodbye to an era they’re also looking forward with hope—and perhaps a touch of whiskey-fueled nostalgia greeting both familiar faces and new ones alike But hopefully with less administrative work Rockland—Rhodes may be closing one chapter on Friday May 9th Rockland Music Fest – Sept 27 @ Clover Stadium. 10 bands, with headliner. James Webb Space Telescope General Observer project From the data gathered using the telescope he published two papers in The Astrophysical Journal One of the papers examines star formation in Sagittarius C, a region in the heart of the Milky Way where many stars are actively being born The paper confirmed at least two massive stars – each more than 20 times the Sun’s mass – forming in this region “We also discovered a new star-forming region adjacent to the one we’d already known about,” he said Most of Crowe’s work so far has involved observational astronomy research “We model the sort of environments we observe with telescopes,” he said “so we can better understand the physical processes at play it’s a young star producing ionizing radiation the same light rays that can cause skin cancer in an environment similar to Sagittarius C.” Crowe has been an undergraduate researcher since his first spring semester when astronomy professor Jonathan Tan gave a research talk in one of his That could include giving fans feuds that they have waited a while to see or never thought were possible until now. There's also unfinished business between a number of top names coming out of WrestleMania that should be settled in the months ahead, specifically at Backlash with the event happening so soon after The Show of Shows on May 10. Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Rhea Ripley all fell short in their respective matches in Las Vegas, so expectations will be especially high for whatever WWE has planned for them next. If the four Superstars are slated to stick around for the fallout of WrestleMania 41, it should soon become clear what's in store for them going forward, with these rivalries being the most likely. CM Punk was moments away from winning the WrestleMania Night 1 main event last Saturday when he was betrayed by his best friend, Paul Heyman, who instead aided Seth Rollins to victory. Rollins and Heyman made their alliance official on Monday's Raw, and Punk wasted no time in attempted to exact revenge. Their first match against each other since Punk returned to the company occurred on Raw's Netflix premiere where The Best in the World reigned supreme. Rollins won the steel cage rematch on the March 10 edition of Raw thanks to an inadvertent assist from Roman Reigns. Their Triple Threat match stole the show on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, yet there's more to explore with Punk and Rollins now that the latter has been established as a heel. Moreover, neither of them can completely move on until they have their rubber match that determines the superior Superstar once and for all. Whether it be at Backlash or another upcoming premium live event, Punk should keep his sights set on Rollins for the foreseeable future. On that same post-WrestleMania Raw, Paul Heyman introduced Bron Breakker as his latest client, leading an attack on CM Punk and Roman Reigns led by the two-time intercontinental champion and Seth Rollins. The new Dangerous Alliance has arrived, and it has the potential to be something special. Reigns will want to give Rollins his comeuppance every bit as much as Punk does, but unless WWE goes the tag team route right out of the gate (which seems unlikely), The Tribal Chief should first feud with Breakker before eventually getting back around to The Visionary. Depending on Reigns' infrequent appearance schedule, this match may not be happening on the sooner side, but that's perfectly acceptable. The first-ever one-on-one encounter between Breakker and The OTC makes more sense for SummerSlam on August 2-3, anyway—possibly as one of the night's blockbuster main events. Breakker is fresh off his loss of the intercontinental title and was ready to be elevated to the top of the card. Being backed by Heyman will ensure his impending push goes well and gets him closer to world championship contention. He can benefit big time from working with Reigns and ideally beating him when the time is right, causing his stock to skyrocket in the process. The booking of her character going into WrestleMania 41 left a lot to be desired. Her latest run as women's world champion was largely forgettable and the follow-up to her losing the title to Iyo Sky made her look incompetent and whiny. The 'Mania match itself between Ripley, Sky and Bianca Belair was exceptional and arguably the best of the weekend, but with the Australian again failing to regain the gold, there's no clear path for her in the coming weeks other than resuming her chase for the championship. The Eradicator has yet to beat Sky in any capacity, so while that's a story worth telling, it will inevitably culminate with her taking the title back from The Genius of the Sky and fans growing tired of Ripley's dominance. The 28-year-old should show more vulnerability and disappear from programming for a bit to rebuild her confidence, but either way, Sky is her most obvious opponent post-WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre4 of 4The execution of the finish to Cody Rhodes' WrestleMania match with John Cena was shockingly subpar and not befitting of his final night as undisputed WWE champion after the outstanding year he had Cena capturing his record-setting 17th world title was the correct outcome and now the interest is in how long he'll hold it hostage for Rhodes avenging that loss and getting the belt back should be the endgame but that doesn't need to be until SummerSlam at the earliest The American Nightmare should step away for a few months so a majority of the fans are behind him again upon his return to television it's only appropriate that he be placed in a program with Drew McIntyre The two former WWE champions were once tag team partners and have interacted a fair amount of times in the last year or so the Scot is one of only five men to have defeated Rhodes during his second stint with the company and they haven't collided inside the squared circle since that match in February 2024 McIntyre belongs in a prominent position on SmackDown having seemingly finished his feud with Damian Priest at WrestleMania where he emerged victorious in their hard-fought Sin City Street Fight If The Scottish Warrior isn't going to challenge for a top title anytime soon then a feud with The American Nightmare would be the next best use of him Rhodes should suffer another significant setback or two before rekindling his rivalry with Cena and McIntyre can serve as the ultimate obstacle Texas to Opal and Garland Rhodes on January 21 After graduating from high school in during this week's episode of Smackdown, but when he was shown on the big screens walking into Allegiant Stadium ahead of his main event match tonight at WrestleMania against John Cena A report by Fightful indicated that WWE was aware that boos could continue tonight and were prepared for that for the last three years with Rhodes The report says that the company is confident they can perform around and with whatever crowd reactions they get The interesting thing about the Cody boos is that they come with working with a newly minted heel in John Cena Cena turned heel for the first time in two decades at Elimination Chamber and much of the build to their match at WrestleMania has centered around that Cody and Cena collide for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania and if Cena Reveals Official SummerSlam 2025 Poster Details: cache-fra-eddf8230129-FRA 1746523516 2988082726 we come out with as many questions as we had going in So before we head to Monday Night Raw on Netflix on April 21 After beating GUNTHER and being one of the most popular wrestlers in the world for a few years now and it would be smart to make sure he's one of the top guys going forward Winning a world championship at WrestleMania puts him on the right track And nobody is running in the same direction The Bloodline was my favorite storyline in history and I've been a fan since Hulk Hogan won his first title beating the Iron Sheik I hope they bring it back with the same guys There aren't a lot of wrestlers in WWE who can't put on a five-star match They all went out and did that this weekend I can't say enough about the performers this weekend What should WWE do with Charlotte Flair?Fans do not like her But she's probably the best wrestler in the promotion She was just gone for a year and the fans still hate her I guess she could be the best bad guy wrestler in the promotion She could be the women's GUNTHER in that she's the best Who is the best female wrestler in WWE?This division was loaded Raquel Rodriguez and Lyra Valkyria were the only women who made the show the WWE Women's roster is the best roster I can remember The best bad guy in the business these days got a lot of cheers in Las Vegas Dom Mysterio won the Intercontinental championship The fans were cheering "You Deserve it" to the guy who hasn't really heard cheers since he turned on his dad a few years back Dominik comes off as one of the nicest people Rick Steiner's son is too good for midcard but it's time for him to take a step up and start headlining these premium live events WWE buying AAA was the biggest story of the weekend With the collection of Latino talent WWE has built World's Collide is going to be one of the best shows you've ever seen What's next for CM Punk?CM Punk needs to be in the mix for a championship He has wrestled the champ on some house shows but I'd like to see him match up with Cena I'd like to see Punk or Randy Orton wrestle Cena next I guess you'd have to move Cena to Smackdown so it'll likely be Orton who gets first crack at Cena They have to do something like they did a few years ago when Brock Lesnar attacked Rhodes because it's time to move him away from Cena they didn't have good chemistry and Cena-Rhodes was the only bad thing about WrestleMania Why does it matter how often a guy shows up Stop worrying about how often people are there and start worrying about how much fun they are when they're there How evil is Paul Heyman?Roman Reigns has been the worst guy in the world for five years He trashes people the minute they're not good to him CM Punk is a great wrestler and a fan favorite now but he can be a pretty terrible person too He threw Paul Bearer's ashes on the Undertaker he was one of the worst dudes in the business when he was in his first championship run and who is more viscous on the mic than Punk But everyone felt bad for them Saturday night when Paul Heyman cheapshotted them And people say Heyman will bring Rollins to another level Are New Day the GOATS?I don't like these guys Kofi Kingston is one of my all time favorites and Xavier Woods is nothing but fun And I say that as a huge fan of the Hart Foundation a seed and
