Students running a relay marathon from Novi Sad to Brussels they arrived in Virovitica in Croatia just before 20:XNUMX p.m. The Austrian public media service ORF reported that Serbian students started a 2.000-kilometer ultramarathon based on the principle of relay running during which they run from Novi Sad to Brussels in order to draw the attention of the European Union to the events in Serbia They emphasized that this action is the latest in a wave of protests that has been going on since November there is a day of mourning for the death of Mr the citizens began to gather around 19:30 p.m There were mostly Croatian high school students There are also parents who accompany the marathoners Among the banners they carried was one that read "Welcome" in Latin and Cyrillic but they removed it at the suggestion of the police so that the Cyrillic letters would not provoke anyone told "Vreme" that the stage was cheerful and interesting "We are running to carry the voice of the whole nation To point out what is happening in the country," says this student of the Higher Technical School in Novi Sad When asked if Brussels is the right address the first plenum of a faculty advocated for extraordinary elections and a student list We're here and we're running," says Kojcin where last night I sang at a birthday party for wonderful people I'm heading to Virovitica to meet the brave Serbian students who are fighting for justice and running from Serbia to Brussels They will arrive tonight at 21 p.m.," wrote Severina on her Instagram account Let us remind you that the Croatian singer has supported the student protests in Serbia from the very beginning and has publicly provided support at concerts several times Severina also published a video from a protest in Serbia where a young man was carrying a banner on which she was depicted stepping on a sandwich and holding an index in her hand with the inscription "Everything is with you." I just held my breath..." What an honor to carry me on the banner.. Thank you to the students who brought people across Croatia and the whole world to the streets What you are doing will enter the textbooks as the brightest part of the history of these areas for the last 30 years," wrote Severina at the time Serbian students repeated a hundred times that this is a marathon Similar to Adam Mihnjik in the eighties in Poland The government in Serbia is on the way to the end - you just need to be patient With the inclusivity created at the plenums students should continue during election engagement including the opposition at some point - whatever it may be Who mentions the extraordinary elections when the rating of the party in power is falling Vučić is not the most important political factor in the country © 2025 Time, Belgrade. Trees’ has connected two forestry schools from Croatia and Hungary In this way we have achieved a common goal of preserving rare and forgotten forest fruit trees The result is a modern greenhouse and nursery where several thousand forest seedlings have been grown which will be planted in Croatia and Hungary makes this project important and noble in preserving what is left of us – The only planet earth The fruit trees are considered important natural assets to the area and its biodiversity As well as being a healthy and nutritious part of people’s diet they are an important food source to the local deer population If the deer were to run out of these fruit they would likely eat and damage agricultural crops to make up the shortfall The project helped develop a seed collection for the trees and paid for the construction of a 360 m2 greenhouse and all the tools necessary for the cultivation of the seedlings Both schools were provided with the equipment required to nurture the seeds and grow new trees Teachers at the two schools took part in 19 training courses to learn about the trees and their importance to the area They passed on what they learned to students who participated in the project both teachers and students explored and solved problems relating to the local ecosystem and the importance of preserving the region’s biodiversity more than 200 people participated in joint educational activities and related events which included hosting exhibitions and displays designed to raise awareness about the project and the importance of the trees Total investment for the project “Forgotten Forest Fruit Trees” is EUR 160 096 with the EU’s European Regional Development Fund contributing EUR 136 081 through the “Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia” Co-operation Programme for highest level of energy efficiency and the lowest greenhouse gas emissions as the leader in ESCO services in Southeast Europe is planning more and more to invest in biomass and renewable energy plants which is fully oriented towards energy saving and investment in clean energy projects We are very proud of the cooperation with the Municipality of Slatina and the County and the support they have provided to this project as well as the excellent cooperation with Đuro Đaković who together enabled us to build such a facility in Croatia," said Marko Podlesek The dryer within the plant is used for drying biomass and thus maximizes the efficiency of the cogeneration plant meaning that the plant produces 40GWh of electricity annually and 96GWh of thermal energy The manufacturer of the boiler is a Croatian company Đuro Đaković TEP from Slavonski Brod The Croatian Electricity Market Operator (HROTE) signed a contract for the purchase of electricity produced at 14 years This plant is an example of the successful development of renewable energy sources in Croatia especially in the Virovitica-Podravina County The newly built cogeneration plant employs 13 workers from the territory of Slatina when we started this series of articles So let’s look at the virtual resources available to explore Croatia virtually We continue our new Virtual Croatia series with the tools to discover Virovitica the center of the amazing region of Podravina A few weeks ago I wrote that being a tourism blogger in the corona era was about as useful as being a cocktail barman in Saudi Arabia and I am encouraged by the number of Croatian tourism businesses who are contacting us wanting to start thinking of promoting post-corona tourism.  One of the challenges of writing about tourism at the moment is that there is nothing positive to write about With people confined to their homes and tourism in Croatia currently not possible many have decided to go into hibernation until it is all over.  I think that this is a mistake, and I have greatly enjoyed the TCN series by Zoran Pejovic of Paradox Hospitality on thinking ahead to tourism in a post-corona world.  You can find Zoran’s articles here Way back on March 14 – several lifetimes ago – I published an article called Tourism in the Corona Age: 10 Virtual Ways to Discover Zagreb now was an OUTSTANDING opportunity for tourism promotion they yearn for their freedom and former lives so give them the tools to thoroughly research and enjoy your destinations and you will have then longing to be there they will have a deeper understanding of the destination due to their research.  South Africa and Portugal were the first to do their post-corona tourism promotion videos several weeks ago (Post-Corona Tourism Planning: Lessons from South Africa and Portugal), a trick which has been followed by other tourism countries, the latest being Croatia with the national tourist board campaign, #CroatiaLongDistanceLove But while these campaigns create longing and market presence People now have time to really get into destinations And dreams of escape to somewhere more exotic are high on the list of priorities of many.  So TCN has decided to help with that education with a new series called Virtual Croatia where we will be helping you discover many of Croatia’s destinations with all the best virtual tools available on your self-isolating sofa at home.  We started with Tourism in the Corona Age: 10 Virtual Tools to Discover Hvar After this, we put our a press release (which you can read here in English and Croatian) offering a free article to any local tourist board in Croatia who would like the free promotion in our Virtual Croatia series.  People from the Virovitica Tourist Board most kindly helped us put together a series of videos promoting their town and region.  History of the town and the Pejačević Castle The project of the Pejačević Castle restoration The story of lace traditionally made in Virovitica Has this lovely town of remarkable history managed to get under your skin?  To discover more of virtual Croatia, you can follow this series in our dedicated section, Virtual Croatia.  If you are a local tourist board in Croatia and would like your destination featured in this series for free, please contact us at news@total-croatia-news.com Subject Virtual Croatia (and destination name) Student marathon runners
