A legend of the European game and especially in her homeland
the second season for the playmaker at Landes could be even more influential than the first - especially after some injuries hit the club last year
A EuroCup Women winner in 2016 at Tango Bourges
Dumerc is a class act who will dominate defensively and pull the strings in her trademark way

There is so much anticipation surrounding the EuroCup Women debut of Spain's rising star
with Conde already accustomed to harvesting trophies from a stellar youth career for her country - and also that glorious and golden EuroBasket Women debut earlier this year
Now the real test has arrived as she tries translate her wing skills into the pro-game with Girona
A post shared by Aishah Sutherland (@aishah11) on Sep 12
The energy which Sutherland can provide at both ends of the floor will provide the main fuel for the rookie EuroCup Women season of the Spanish side
scoring ability and experience to be their reference player after impressing last season in the competition at TTT Riga

The player that makes the Hungarian side tick
Medgyessy was a star performer for Cegled during their sparkling rookie campaign when they made an unexpected deep run in the competition last year
the guard will continue to orchestrate the plays
having also made the Hungary national team that competed at EuroBasket Women 2017
This about sums up the emotion of the moment... . . . #FIBAAmericas #champions #Americup @canadabasketballofficial

The ever-reliable Canada forward heads into the new season at Landes as an AmeriCup Women champion with her country
She is so adept at getting on with the business in hand and with great efficiency
Now in her third straight season in the tournament
you can expect the same kind of solid numbers and consistency that many other players can only dream of
A post shared by Spar Citylift Uni Girona (@unigirona) on Sep 20
This is surely one of the most interesting signings of the entire off-season as Girona go for the Brazilian center who will make her debut in the competition at 28-years-old
A former WNBA player and now with a season behind her at Gipuzkoa in Liga Femenina where she almost averaged a season double-double
it will be fascinating to see if she can make splash on the European scene
Pues aquí está mi uniforme para esta nueva temporada q envuelve ilusión, compromiso y trabajo @GKesb empezamos!!! pic.twitter.com/aX8bqrp5gB
Pina probably doesn't get the credit she deserves for the amount of work she gets through on the hardwood, while she is also a big factor off the court because of her experience. She had a great first season with the club and she will be very important during this testing challenge of a maiden EuroCup Women voyage.

The new site is dedicated to the assembly and testing of high-power semiconductor modules to drive the electrification of vehicles. In addition, Infineon has invested in further production capacities for high-power modules that enable green energy, from wind turbines and solar modules to energy-efficient drives.
âInfineon is pursuing a long-term growth path. Decarbonisation and digitalisation are driving demand for our semiconductor solutions,â said Infineonâs COO Rutger Wijburg. âCeglĂ©d already has a strong track record in enabling green energy. The new manufacturing capacities will help Infineon accommodate the growing demand for electromobility applications.â
The growth of electromobility is undisputed an cars with fully or partially electrified drivetrains are expected to account for more than 50 percent of cars produced by 2027, according to recent forecasts.
Infineon has shown a long term and continuous commitment in Hungary and has now invested an additional 100 million EUR in this new fab, complemented by support from the Hungarian government.
TamĂĄs SzabĂł, Managing Director of Infineon Technologies CeglĂ©d Kft. said, âInfineon has been present in Hungary for more than 25 years as a manufacturer of innovative semiconductor products, building on a highly reliable regional industrial infrastructure. Over the years, Infineon has gained a strong reputation in power modules, serving customers all over the world.â
When the new factory is fully staffed, another 275 employees will work for Infineon in Cegléd, bringing the total headcount to approximately 1,600. Production ramp-up started earlier this year.
In addition, Infineon says that it has invested in further production capacities for high-power modules that enable green energy, from wind turbines and solar modules to energy-efficient drives.

The company states that almost every second electric or hybrid car produced in 2021 uses Infineon semiconductors in its inverter.
Once the new factory is fully staffed, another 275 employees will work for Infineon in Cegléd. The inauguration follows almost exactly three years after the foundation stone was laid. Infineon has invested EUR 100 million in the new fab, an investment that was complemented by support from the Hungarian government.
The renewed Marble Hall and the CeglĂ©d Corridor at Budapest's Nyugati Railway Station were handed over, the Hungarian State Railways (MĂV) communications directorate told MTI on Friday.
The railway company explained: during the reconstruction, the roof structure was renewed in important parts of the 145-year-old Nyugati Railway Station, and the construction of the audio and visual passenger information system was completed. Passengers can use the beautified Marble Hall and the Cegléd Corridor, and the location of the vending machines inside the station has also become more passenger-friendly.

The renovation of the roof structure of the complex, which is used by around 18 million people every year, began in the spring of 2020, and was carried out by Magyar ĂpĂtĆ Zrt. The roof sections above the Marble Hall, the international waiting room, the former ABC, and the CeglĂ©d Corridor have been renovated. The roof structures of the office wing facing Nyugati Square and the related canopy were also completely renovated.
MĂV drew attention: from now on, passenger information monitors will help those waiting for the train in the Marble Hall, and 12 ticket machines have been installed in the glass hall on the VĂĄci Road side, 8 in the Marble Hall, and 4 in the track hall.
In the CeglĂ©d Corridor leading from the Boulevard to the 14-17th tracks, the stone plinth and the facade glass wall, as well as the steel support structure and cast elements, and the brick surface were also renovated. MĂV announced that the renovations will continue: the renovation work on the TerĂ©z Boulevard facade, the north-west tower, has already started, and the work on the south-east tower can start in January 2023.

The renovation of the false ceiling, lighting and coverings of the cross underpass under tracks 10-13, as well as the parapets of the stair arms leading up from the underpass, are also planned to be completed next year. The out-of-use elevator there will be demolished, and a new, higher-capacity elevator for accessibility will be installed in its place, MĂV explained.

CEGLED (FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017/EuroCup Women) – It's been an eventful and memorable calendar year for Hungarian play-making ace Dora Medgyessy and 2017 promises to be just as exciting
The 30-year-old's career has lifted off in spectacular fashion after becoming a 3x3 MVP and champion
a new member of the Hungary side heading to FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017 and the heartbeat of EuroCup Women surprise package VBW CEKK Cegled
Tell us about your gold medal at the 2016 FIBA 3x3 European Championships
What was this experience like on and off the court in Bucharest? It was a truly amazing experience
We started playing in this event about three years ago
and the team that won the gold medal consisted of the same four girls that started playing together back then
We have remained together and went to all the events we either qualified for
we put in a lot of work (practice and preparation) and as our team chemistry got better along the way
we attained more and more success – something which culminated in us winning gold in Bucharest
It was one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of our lives
We tried to stay fully concentrated and take it game by game
We truly believed in each other and our coaching staff did an exceptionally good job in preparing us
They guided and assisted us the entire way
The most memorable moment was lifting the trophy itself
we celebrated this great experience in style
The đ to Hungary's success at the #3x3Europe according to @doramedgyessy

Why do you love 3x3 and how has it helped your game?I immediately liked 3x3 after the first time I tried it and it proved to be a good fit for me
It requires quick decision-making and precise execution
It benefited me in 5x5 because it has improved my speed and decision-making ability within half-court situations - on both defence and offence
the entire experience has improved my confidence
allowing me to fully contribute to my club
Congratulations on reaching the Round of 16 in EuroCup Women with Cegled
It has been amazing first season and for you with an amazing nine assists per game! Thanks
I’m very happy we've managed to make our debut in such a fashion and especially since nobody expected us to make it out of the Qualifying Round
I didn't have major expectations beforehand
but I hoped we could surprise opponents by playing good and effective basketball
We have a strong team and we hope we can keep playing at a high level
it's my job to move the ball and get it to our players in the right spots
They've done an excellent job of executing and scoring
Best team ever đđȘâđ†#Cekk #azejjelsohanemerhetveget #csakacegled #proudofugirls #continuethiswaytogether #nincsmegallas

What has been the reaction of the city and fans? The reaction of people living in this small city is amazing
In the history of women's basketball in Cegled
there's never really been a 'full house' during games
and this season the stands have sometimes been completely full
A relatively large number of fans have even supported us abroad in EuroCup Women
The people of Cegled are very proud and that support and devotion has played a big part in our success
I really hope that we can show our gratitude by winning as many games as possible in EuroCup Women and the Hungarian Championship
but I promise we'll do everything in our power to keep our campaign as long and as successful as possible
Congratulations on making it to EuroBasket Women Final Round
What was the qualifying campaign like - for example
losing in Iceland and then winning big in Slovak Republic to advance? This past summer was actually the first time I've been nominated to play for the national team and so I wasn’t involved against Iceland

All the players and coaches worked hard and put in a lot of effort to improve our team and the road we're on seems to be the right one; hence the big win against Slovak Republic
I hope our recent form can be maintained and we carry it into the Final Round
It's something we're looking forward to and we hope we have a successful tournament
It looks a very tough draw in Group A with Czech Republic
Spain and Ukraine? It's true all our opponents are very strong teams
I think all teams who made it to the Final Round are very strong and are there for a reason
We may be anticipated to be an "underdog" team
but I'm hopeful we can surprise and advance from our group
We'll prepare as well as possible and stick together as a team to give ourselves a chance to reach this goal

then on to the University of British Columbia where he obtained his BSc and Masterâs Degrees in Forestry
he began his 40+ year career in Newfoundland and Labrador
first as a Research Officer and Scientist with the Canadian Forest Service where he initiated the first ecological land classification studies in Western Newfoundland and Labrador
to Head of the Forestry Program and Full Professor of Engineering & Applied Science at Memorial University
where he taught and guided hundreds of Forestry and Engineering students
he fell in love with the Province and a beautiful Newfoundland woman (like most come-from-aways do!) named Daphne whom he married
He then obtained his PhD at Syracuse University (New York)
and was a great teacher and motivator who instilled many of his students with the principles of hard work and fair play in academics and the practice of Forestry
Dénes was a member of the NL Opimian Society
Board member of the NL Multicultural Society
Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the NL Section of the Canadian Institute of Forestry

He was bestowed the national Tree of Life Award from the Canadian Institute of Forestry

Tina and your families so much over the past few days
Sad that Uncle Denes has died and yet he lived such a full and rich life
I remember returning with my family (minus my dad) to Newfoundland from Australia as a shy teenager and being welcomed into the family fold
Many lovely dinners at Uncle Denes and Aunt Daphne’s place over the years
I remember Aunt Daphne and Uncle Denes staying with me when I lived in Berwick
We went out to dinner and were walking with arms linked- me in the middle
I had Aunt Daphne talking to me non stop in my right ear and at the same time
Uncle Denes talking to me non stop in my left ear
I learned a good budget travel tip that night when they just ordered one Main Course and split it between them
Thank you everyone for your kind memories and stories
I never knew how they took him with thick accent
Tina & families,so sorry for your loss .We enjoyed our visits with your dad & definitely his wonderful martinis. He always had a smile
Dave & Brenda .prayers during this difficult time
and we had to borrow a boat from a neighbor
load it with the materials and then pull it along the shoreline until we reached the cabin
We then carried the materials in to the cabin
The distance was only 800 feet altogether but it was the longest 800 feet Iâve ever walked before or since
We immediately started installing the siding and it wasnât too long after that I began to wonder why I would do something like this
And I knew it wasnât going to get any better â there was no heat or insulation
We worked past sunset as far as we could with a lantern
Uncle DĂ©nes said he was going to the neighborâs house to watch hockey and that I could come if I wanted
I wasnât a sports fan and I didnât want to impose
After a few hours alone trying to keep warm by the lantern and stove
It must have been minus 15 or more and it took me quite a while to get warm enough to where I stopped shaking
The next morning he was up before me and made breakfast
As soon as we ate we started at the siding again
not stopping until it was time to leave for home
I was so cold and tired at this point but Uncle DĂ©nes didnât seem phased at all and he was 18 years older than I
The one thing that I continue to ask myself is why anyone else would want to do this in mid-winter
I know why he did: he made this decision and it didnât matter the weather; he was determined to do it and he certainly had the stamina
I have fond memories of the stories of his adventures.
his pickup basketball skills and his perspective on various teams in many sports and world affairs
I am so saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing
Both of your parents welcomed me into your home during medical school
I loved his “perfect” martinis!
Sending you much love and you are in my thoughts
Bajzak when I was studying Forestry at Memorial in the mid 90âs
Bajzak always had a smile on his face and was quick with a joke
One of my Fondest Memories was when we were out in the field in the spring
My very unreliable motorbike needed a push start
Bajzak with a smile volunteered to push the bike
How many professors would do that for their students
I moved away from Newfoundland but eventually moved back
I was surprised that he still remembered me
we did share a few laughs and memories of our time at Memorial He was a great guy that truly loved life
B taught me in the mid 90âs at MUN at the very beginning of my forestry career
combined with the care he expressed for his students made him an exceptional professor and no doubt influenced several generations of foresters
I can still remember many of the sayings he used in the classroom and field
my all-time favorite was âkeep the bush language in the bushâ
I had the opportunity to run in to him in 2007 at the annual CIF conference in Toronto
he was so excited to connect with a former student and clearly proud to see his former students succeed in their careers
but am sure his legacy will carry on for many years through his former students
So sorry for your loss.I have very fond memories of uncle Denis from when I was young and I stayed at his home with my parents.
shot some hoops at PWC and hung out singing Christmas carols on his birthday
He always welcomed me and was forever asking when am i getting married
Im sad for your loss but forever grateful to have met a wonderful man
Although im far away you and your family are close to me
Katriina and family we send our deepest condolences to you all
We fondly remember your Dadâs lively conversations at the many gatherings at âAunt Joanâs.â
fun and great discussions of world events and variety of topics.
We are thankful to have gotten to spend time with your family over the years
May you find comfort in your memories and love bestowed upon you by your Mom and Dad
I found him always charming and interesting
He was such a loving and cheerful family man of fine principles
He went out of his way to visit me in Nova Scotia and then in the US
My sons Thibaut and William have fond memories of him and playing golf and soccer at our place
The sense of loss at present may be immense
but your memories will keep him with you always
My most heartfelt sympathy to Denes and Krisztina at this very sad time
I will always remember your dad in his younger days
carrying such a spark for life and an unsinkable energy
He and your mom had a very special relationship and each gave you their own special gifts to get you through life
I am so very glad that he got to see his grandchildren and pass on even more memories to them and to you
Remember him well and often to those who will surely miss this great man

These next five years will see the gradual renovation of train stations lining main routes south-east from Budapest towards Szolnok
and north in the direction of VĂĄc and Szob by the border with Slovakia
An analysis of daily traffic revealed that these two lines carried the most significant passenger numbers â between 15 and 19 million a year in the case of Budapest-CeglĂ©d-Szolnok
These routes are also served by double-decker trains
The cost of renovating each station is said to be around 300 to 400 million forints. The work will be carried out by MĂVâs own maintenance and repair team, which has already begun the renovation of ZuglĂł station and KĆbĂĄnya-alsĂł in Budapest, as well as the cityâs main Keleti station

After mno.hu had spent a day among the Dutch residents of CsemĆ, found near CeglĂ©d
they came to the strange conclusion that the Dutch find Hungarians to be Mediterranean spirits who can live for the moment and donât overstress about everything
is one of the southern provinces of the Netherlands
it was split into two parts: its southern regions â Brussels
Antwerp â became the territory of todayâs Belgium
while its northern regions remained Dutch territories
Itâs almost like the poplar and acacia woods of CsemĆ
characterised by soil inadequate for agricultural cultivation
Another similarity between the two places is that both are inhabited by quite a lot of Dutch people
The Dutch Trouw paper recently published an article about the Dutch settlers living in CsemĆ
The article suggested that one of the reasons they chose Hungary was the fear of refugees and terror attacks
Jacqueline Bastiaensen said that she 100% agrees with the migration policy of Viktor OrbĂĄn and the southern border fence
She left Brabant five years ago with her husband
The landscape reminds her of her hometown very much
but thereâs a big difference: thereâs much more space in CsemĆ
âThe Netherlands is like an ant-hill: it is very crowded and the life is over-controlled
and the prices convinced us that we had to move here
The four dogs of Jacqueline and Jeroen probably think the same
The couple makes a living by renting their two guest houses to mainly Dutch and Belgian travellers
and by looking after the farms of their compatriots who only spend a few weeks in CsemĆ
Naturally, not everything is perfect here. According to the couple some aspects of the Hungarian mentality are strange. âThereâs a repairman in the village
who we call âTomorrow Zsoltiâ because he always promises to come the next day
Although this mentality can be annoying sometimes
when we constantly have guests and everything needs to go smoothlyâ said Jacqueline
they are willing to work more to save money
Of course this way itâs harder to plan with them
Everything is much more predictable in the Netherlands
but I donât mind it since here Iâm not under constant stress and I can watch roe-deer families from my porchâ said Lammi Luten
whoâs been living in CsemĆ with her husband for eight years
the mayor of the village frequently mentioned that CsemĆ is Hungaryâs most flowery settlement
and that he believes in the interaction between Dutch and Hungarian residents
he knows that the language barrier makes it hard
The most important information can even be found in Dutch on the website of the village
the Dutch residents donât really take part in social events
They might be the ones to strengthen the Hungarian-Dutch relations a few decades later
Getting back to the reasons these families chose to come here for
the migration crisis wasnât a prominent aspect at all
because most of them came to Hungary much earlier
The reasons are much more simple: affordability
the closeness of the capital and the airport
Light contamination is a serious problem in the Dutch countryside
I canât even recall seeing the Milky Way before moving here
But here we can see the stars on the clear sky
Itâs so magical that it makes me forget about âTomorrow Zsoltiâ and any annoyancesâ summed up Jacqueline Bastiaensen
Dutch presence is actually also remarkable at other rural points in the country
and website in this browser for the next time I comment
