former frontman of influential hardcore band Ignite
and most recently Ocean Hills has been dedicating his time out of the limelight to ocean rescue operations
his efforts were spotlighted on a CBS Evening News segment hosted by Norah O'Donnell which covered his work in rescuing pelicans along the California coastline
Téglás shared his insights into the plight of these birds
and captured a number of undernourished and debilitated pelicans in Southern California
he also explains how his role as the "ambulance and first-line EMT" involves transporting the weakest birds to the Wetlands and Wildlife Center for treatment
You can watch detailed coverage of Zoli's efforts starting at the 16:10 mark in the video below
Nevada’s large open spaces and diversity of habitat types supports a wide variety of wildlife species as well as domestic livestock
These conditions lend themselves to the uniqueness of the state but also provide habitat for many tick species
Important tick borne diseases have been diagnosed in humans and domestic animals within Nevada but little is known about the distribution and composition of tick populations throughout the state. Most of my efforts go into investigating the role of tick borne disease in the health of cattle herds throughout Nevada
Currently I am identifying important tick species

A woman has appeared in court accused of attacking a man in the street with a “large wooden stick.”
Malvina Teglas appeared in the dock of Ballymena Magistrates Court today
She was charged with five offences arising from an incident close to her home on Paradise Mews in the town on Thursday evening
making a threat to kill and possessing a weapon
District Judge Peter Magill heard evidence from a police officer about the nature of the incident but he also saw a video of the entire incident after it was captured on a mobile phone from across the street
In it Teglas and another man appear to strike the alleged victim several times with what appears to be similar to pick-axe handles
A member of the public intervenes and as the man is standing up Teglas hits him again
striking him to the back of the head with the wooden baton before the footage cuts out
according to the defendant during police interviews
the alleged victim came to her home and made threats against her and her son
“He threatened to kill us,” Teglas claimed
“He had two sticks and he was shouting and threatening us: ‘I want to kill you’.”
The court heard that while Teglas’ son has been freed on bail
police were objecting to the defendant being freed over fears that she would interfere with the investigation as police are seeking a third man who was allegedly involved in the fracas
The officer confirmed that the alleged victim has not yet been spoken to or made a statement
she claimed “he was threatening to rape her and kill her son.”
Freeing Teglas on her own bail of £250 and adjourning the case to May 22
Judge Magill ordered the defendant to reside at home and to have no contact with the alleged victim

A recent segment on CBS Evening News focused on volunteers rescuing starving pelicans in California whose food source is being disrupted by shifting weather conditions
The first person seen in the video just happens to be Zoli Téglás
who describes himself as “like the ambulance
the first-line EMT.” His job is to capture the weakest
hungriest birds he can find and transport them to the Wetlands and Wildlife Center to be treated
the Wetlands and Wildlife Center is overcrowded
housing a lot more birds than they are really set up to accommodate
but they do their best to treat all of the birds that are delivered to them
he’s not the only artist considering such a move
It’s still a better lineup than they had in the last days of the festival

OCEAN HILLS, the new alternative rock band featuring former IGNITE singer Zoltán "Zoli" Téglás, has inked a deal with AFM Records. OCEAN HILLS' debut album will be released later in the year.
The upcoming album is everything Zoli was hoping to achieve musically.
"These songs come from the heart," he says. "The songs are great, the musicianship is amazing, the guitar solos are incredible, and the vocals are melodic and hard hitting. Rock anthem stuff!"
Joining Zoli in OCEAN HILLS are Peter Lukacs (lead guitar),Daniel Szebenyi (keyboards and bass) and Reinder Oldenburger (rhythm guitar).
OCEAN HILLS is a daring new endeavor - a brand new start, but with the experience of countless tours and recording sessions behind them all as full-time professional musicians. OCEAN HILLS' music feels like a vacation: it re-energizes, makes you reflect and feel good — but it's not superficial or insignificant. There's a subliminal, yearning element to the songs and it's obvious that someone poured his heart and soul out to create this outstanding record. It's just great rock n roll!
AFM label manager Nils Wasko states: "A fantastic signing that we did, an artist you only sign every 10 years as a label. We will now unlock all doors together and use the almost 25 years of company history and experience to build OCEAN HILLS — from zero to hero!"
"Santa Monica" is the second full-length album from ZOLI BAND, the group fronted by Zoli Téglás of IGNITE. The disc is out now via Edge Records and 56 November Records, and can be streamed online on most popular platforms (Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, Google Play, Deezer, Amazon) and can be ordered online via Metalshop.hu. The video clip for the first single, "Budapest My Love", will be released later in the month.
After being on hiatus for the last couple of years to focus on his main band and his acting career, Téglás gathered musicians and poured fresh blood into his newly reformed solo project, ZOLI BAND, to record a follow-up to 2010's "Red & Blue". According to Zoli, "Santa Monica" was heavily influenced by bands like ALICE IN CHAINS, STONE SOUR, RIVAL SONS and SCORPIONS, with a more mature rock sound infused by the characteristic, melodic, and dynamic vocal range of Téglás.
ZOLI BAND embarks on a short European tour supporting the new album this month, with plans to return to the United States later this year, and for a world tour through 2019-2020.
Téglás was born in Los Angeles, California and has been the frontman of the melodic punk/hardcore band IGNITE since 1994. In 2000, he toured with the legendary MISFITS and joined PENNYWISE in 2010. He stayed with the latter group for five years, and appeared on PENNYWISE's "All Or Nothing" album.

Just ask Zoli Téglás: as the longest-running lead vocalist for Orange County political hardcore destroyers Ignite
punk’s power to change runs in Téglás’ veins
What are the names and roles of the members of Ocean Hills
How do you get started in music? What's the backstory there
Ever since I can remember I always wanted to be a musician
From an early age I would stay indoors and listened to albums all day all night
I started playing in bands when I was a little kid and we would practice in our parent's garages
I got a chance to sing for the band aid 19 1994 and a month after I tried out for the band I was on the first European tour as Ignites new singer
I've been very lucky that I've had amazing opportunities through touring with ignite to join other big punk bands and rock bands
The Misfits I and I did a musical for The Who called Quadrophenia
I've also had roles in TV shows called the Tyrant and the Alienist to name a few
I've been very lucky because from all the training from stage you can their music you have to be honest
And if you can be a good frontman you can be a good actor as well
So I got a lot of training from the years of stage and touring so that I can get in front of the camera and be confident and comfortable in front of a crowd of people to nail some lines over and over again
The rolls I've had haven't been that many the Lines but when you move into
I'm very lucky to be able to tour and make a living doing music and when I'm not touring be able to have the opportunities to perform in and to act in some of these big movies and big rolls that I have been in
Joe Slave and I have been writing music together for many years
I was introduced to one of the world's greatest guitarists
Peta Lukacs and he introduced me to one of the most talented songwriters and musicians Dany Keys
When the four of us will get into a room we would just write songs and I came so easily because these guys are so talented and such good songwriters that they would give me really good songs to sing on and then I could put my lyrics to their music that was of high caliber with great chord changes and musical progressions
We have all been friends for a long time and that's what makes this band so fun to be in because I really love each and everyone of the guys in the band
To be completely honest I have no clue how to write a song or to compose a song
I've never had the ability or gift to sit down and finish a song from scratch
I've had to work very hard on every part so that he could live up to a standard to make the song as good as it can be
In Ocean Hills I am the weakest link in the worst musician of the band
I am very blessed to be working with amazing songwriters
amazing musicians and very very talented people so that when we sit down and write songs together great things happen.
"Death Or Liberty" was originally written for that Pennywise album I was working on
I always liked the vocals and I always like the lyrics for the song
Randy Bradbury bassist for Pennywise wrote the song Death Or Liberty
Since I always liked that song and it didn't make the cut for the Pennywise album I try to reuse it for the Ocean Hills album
I transpose the lyrics in the vocals to different keys and I put it on top of a song that Danny wrote while he was in Los Angeles writing music for the new hills album
Death or Liberte is a song that was written about how politicians pretty much just steal and don't represent the people that they're supposed to help
I always despise people that come and say that they're here for the betterment of a country or they here to help the elderly or they are here to save the environment while they're stuffing their pockets with cash from big business and not caring about anything but their own profits
I have never understood the need for more and more and more and more
Somehow greed is such a powerful thing dad these politicians will start wars in murder thousands And hundreds of thousands of people to promote their businesses or their shareholders profits
It's a very sad state of affairs in the world today when it comes to politics
What do you hope that the fans take away from the video
For the last 20 years I've been on stage promoting social environmental and political stances with the band ignite
And Ocean Hills I wanted to write music that the average person can listen to
I want to write music that the plumber to the construction worker to the hospital worker will listen to and enjoy in the musical format that really hits their heartstrings and takes them back to the rock'n roll roots they enjoyed so much when they were younger
I've always wanted to write music that any working man or working women can use as their musical theme songs
I really would like the listener to forget about their problems while they listen to our songs and hopefully our music and take them to a place that will bring them some happiness and some joy
I have a nonprofit that I started a long time ago
When the world is going crazy I load up the boat and I go out to the ocean and spend the entire day looking for animals to help
I feel that mother Theresa has died so it's our turn to do what we can to make this world a little better place
There's not many people that rescue oceanic birds are pelicans and I am very needed out there in the ocean
This is not a guilty pleasure and it's not very fun most the time but I feel like I have accomplished something when I saved an animal's life from dying at the hands of abusive people out in the oceans or dying from fishing line or dying from being trapped in fishing nets etc
There are two things that I'm really good at: One is singing
There is a love hate relationship with both of these things that I do
But the reality is I could not imagine my life without doing all I can for wild animal rescue or singing on stage to a live audience
The reason I do music is because it's what's in my heart and music is what keeps me alive
The reality is I'm not good at much of anything else
My purpose on this earth is to be a musician and to help the environment
How are you handling the coronavirus situation
“And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today
thing or situation - some fact of my life - unacceptable to me
I can find no serenity until I accept that person
thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.”
There is not much I can do about this crazy pandemic
It's killing people worldwide and destroying the world economy
So I go out and rescue pelicans because there's nothing else I can do to help the world but that
I hope everyone reading this is healthy and staying safe and taking care of themselves and their families
Our plan was to go on tour throughout 2020 and 2021
So we will be writing more music and putting out more content via social media platforms
We will be writing more songs and working hard and keep people interested and excited about the Ocean Hills album
We will be touring as soon as we can and we will try to tour as much as we can to make up for this lost time because of the coronavirus
Until then stay tuned for our next releases
We have a bunch of new songs and videos coming out very soon
We can't wait to see you on the road somewhere in the world when we come play for you live hopefully very soon

Interview with the Luxembourg`s national coach Peter TEGLAS
Peter TEGLAS started working as the national coach for Luxembourg in 2017 after 20 years working with Hungarian teams
Peter built his career quickly winning many awards and titles from a fairly young age
We spoke with him about his impressive CV his current role and his overall thinking on coaching now and in the future in table tennis
How many years did you work with Hungarian cadets juniors and senior teams
-Difficult question…cadets and junior teams 1997-2005 senior team 2005-2017
-When I was a child I didn’t want to play table tennis because I always wanted to play football
However my father was President of a table tennis club and he pushed me to play
It was a women’s club and I had to play only with girls and women
Of course for a boy it’s not the best solution to practice every day with women
So when I decided to be a table tennis coach I said I would never work with women
(Laughing) It’s very funny because it happened
-In Hungary after secondary school you have to go to the army
When I was 18 years I started to work in high school as table tennis coach so didn’t go to the army
At the beginning I was a sparring-partner for girls
After 6 months the head coach asked me if I wanted to work as a coach
Therefore I worked with kids and step-by-step mini cadets cadets and after 4 years I started to work with a junior national team
When I saw Gina for first time she was 6 or 7 years old
Her mother was a player in my father’s club
What had been the best moment or title in your career
-It was my first European Championships [2007 Serbia] as a coach of the senior team the Hungarian team won gold medals
What is the most difficult aspect of coaching
In 2007 we won the European Championships with Kriztina TOTH Georgina POTA and Petra LOVAS
They have absolutely different personalities and ages
At that time I think it was the most important thing to keep them together
Because if they are not good with each other they cannot do well as a team
In my opinion if teamwork is effective at 9-9 you will win
In men’s table tennis it would seem that the “Chinese wall” has already broken
The Chinese players are physically better than Europeans are and are stronger in most aspects of the game
It is difficult to change it because in Europe you have to study and go to school
In Japan and especially in China players don’t study
I was many times in China and the kids are not going to school they are playing table tennis
In Europe it is very important to get the education
Why did you decide to change teams from Hungary to Luxembourg
-It was a very difficult decision because in the past I have had many different offers
Then in 2015 a contact in Luxemburg came to me with an offer
I didn’t think about it seriously due to already being involved with Hungarian National Team
But at this time I started to think about my future
I had worked with Hungarian teams for 20 years
I thought that for players and for me it’s time for change
I have never worked abroad and I wanted to start a new life
New experience also for Hungarian players and it’s a good influence
If we take women’s and men’s national team away most players have normal jobs and they are not professional table tennis players
Thanks to Peter for an interesting conversation best wish in Luxembourg
The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) is the governing body of the sport of table tennis in Europe
and is the only authority recognized for this purpose by the International Table Tennis Federation
The ETTU deals with all matters relating to table tennis at a European level
including the development and promotion of the sport in the territories controlled by its 58 member associations

"We're happy to announce that Jim is rejoining Pennywise and we're all looking forward to playing music together again

"[I feel like] someone who took an Ambien [and] has found themselves down by the lake and they don't know how they got there."
Dragge revealed that the first step in the reunion came about after "a little self introspection," and that he called Lindberg while he was at a bachelor party
Lindberg said he had erased Dragge's number

the vocalist let it be known he was ready to exit

"Jim told me he was calling and saying
'Hurry up and come back man.'"
For now, Pennywise just has the 25th anniversary show at the Hollywood Palladium on their schedule. Tickets for the Jan. 18 performance go on sale via Live Nation this Friday (Nov. 2) at noon here
