could sign for Arsenal in the summer market for a high fee
Kudus has entered Arsenal's radar after a remarkable season with West Ham last year
Mikel Arteta's team is looking to strengthen their offensive line and has identified the Ghanaian international as a key piece to enhance their quality
The Gunners' board values both the player's current performance and potential for improvement
and they are willing to make a significant financial effort to secure his services
The African player has shown in London that he can compete at the highest level in the Premier League
combined with a few possess the ability to unsettle
have allowed him to stand out in numerous matches
While West Ham's overall team performance has been disappointing this season
Kudus has been one of the few who has consistently performed well
His talent has not gone unnoticed by the country's top clubs
A change of scenery is not ruled out from the player's circle
the midfielder feels that the time has come to take a step forward and be part of a more ambitious project
The Arsenal option aligns with his sporting aspirations
as well as his desire to stay in the English capital
The estimated transfer fee is around €70 million
a considerable but manageable investment for Emirates Stadium's team
knows that retaining the Ghanaian will be a challenging task if Arsenal's interest materializes
Although there have been no formal moves yet
the Hammers' club accepts that the summer market will be active regarding their main offensive figure
Kudus remains calm and waits for developments

The 24-year-old has been one of the Hammers most dangerous players since his £38m arrival from Ajax in 2023
in what has been a difficult campaign for the east London outfit
Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui in mid-season while technical director Tim Steidten also left after West Ham started the new campaign badly
After a huge outlay in excess of £250m over the past two summers, made possible by Declan Rice's £105m move to Arsenal in 2023
West Ham's hierarchy feel they need to balance any additions to Potter's squad with sales
they would prefer not to sell Kudus but they are aware of growing interest in the forward from Europe and elsewhere
The feeling around London Stadium is that his price will likely rise to a level that would make it counter-productive not to consider a sale
The situation around Kudus is not made easier by the continuing uncertainty over West Ham's other main creative force

Man City and Liverpool could benefit from signing Kudus | OneFootballFootball Today
West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus is one of the most exciting attacking players in the Premier League
He bagged 18 goals and seven assists last season but has registered only three goals and two assists this term
several clubs are reportedly interested in signing him this summer
Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool would be excellent landing spots for Kudus
Martin Odegaard has struggled in some matches
and Kudus could add an extra attacking threat
pace and finishing make him an excellent option for Mikel Arteta’s team
Kudus can play as an attacking midfielder or a right winger
which would offer competition and rotation with Bukayo Saka
He is also effective as a false nine, which would provide Arsenal with more tactical flexibility when they require a fluid attack
Man City are looking to offload several players this summer
and Kudus could be a shrewd addition to help strengthen the squad
Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish potentially nearing the end of their time at the Etihad Stadium
Kudus’ versatility would be a significant asset
He could create a strong attacking core alongside Phil Foden
His dynamic dribbling and creativity would also complement players such as Savinho
who excels at breaking lines and carrying the ball forward
While Arsenal and Man City could utilise Kudus
a move to Liverpool arguably makes the most sense
Liverpool will likely need a replacement for Mohamed Salah this summer
He suits Liverpool’s system as a right-sided forward who can cut inside to score and create chances
Kudus also brings high pressing and work rate
which would suit new manager Arne Slot’s style of play
His ability to play in midfield adds another layer of flexibility
Interest in the Ghanaian international is high
and it will be intriguing to see where he ends up

West Ham interested in a sneaky Mohammed Kudus replacement | OneFootballFanSided World Football
West Ham were among the busiest buyers on the summer 2024 transfer market, but their efforts were largely fruitless. The Hammers have been buried in the bottom half of the Premier League table throughout the 2024/25 season
they will be back to the drawing board in summer 2025 with Graham Potter at the helm
As has been the case for the last several years
West Ham have the age-old problem of finding a No
9 who can consistently deliver in front of goal
There will be a number of intriguing options this summer
such as free agent to-be Jonathan David of Lille
but the best options won't be ones West Ham figure to be truly competitive for
According to a report from Caught Offside's Mark Brus, West Ham are interested in signing Lyon striker Georges Mikautadze, and the 24-year-old is said to be very interested in a move to the London Stadium because of Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen
While Bowen is the best player on West Ham and clearly not going anywhere
Mikautadze may have to readjust his expectations if he wants to join the Irons because it's more likely he'll be replacing Kudus
Kudus is one of the most terrifying players to stop on the ball in the Premier League because of his courage on the ball and dribbling skills
but the explosive forward is severely lacking in consistency and end product
With gargantuan offers set to come in from Saudi Arabia
Kudus is someone West Ham will likely cash in on
and it would make even more sense for the Hammers to ship Kudus to Saudi than it did for Aston Villa to do the same with the much more productive Jhon Duran this past summer
Mikautadze is a consistent difference-maker for Lyon whenever he starts. He is averaging 1.1 key passes
and 1.5 fouls drawn per 90 minutes in Ligue 1
He is averaging 0.7 goals per 90 and 0.3 assists per 90 or 1.0 goal contributions to 90
adjusted for a 38-game Premier League season
means he would score 27 goals and 11 assists in a full campaign
West Ham shouldn't expect Mikautadze to be that productive
but the Georgian breakout star at Euro 2024 is a quality footballer who has proven himself in France at multiple levels
He can score goals while taking players on and being creative
Mikautadze would be a cheaper version of Kudus with more of a goal threat
and that's exactly what West Ham are looking for as far as a player who can upgrade what they currently have in attack with Lucas Paqueta

West Ham United brought Mohammed Kudus to the London Stadium to the tune of £38 million during the summer of 2023

Former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot praised a player he knows well from Ajax during West Ham’s recent 2-1 defeat at Anfield
“That’s what makes the Premier League so strong this season
I think they’re 16th or 17th in the league but I can name you one or two players that could easily have played with us today as well in terms of quality,” Slot said shortly after Virgil van Dijk’s late header put Liverpool three points closer to glory
“I think [Lucas] Paqueta and Kudus were outstanding today

Getty ImagesThe one player West Ham need more from for the remainder of the campaign is Mohammed Kudus
He has been a shadow of the player who hit the ground running in east London last season
After signing from Ajax almost two years ago
Kudus announced himself as one of the most exciting forwards in the Premier League
He registered 20 goal contributions in 45 appearances
had a goal nominated for the Puskas Award and was heavily linked with a move to a club playing in the Champions League all summer
The expectation was that he would only get better this season
the changing of managers twice since last season will not have helped his flow
but his drop-off in form has been so extreme it cannot purely be attributed to that alone
This season he has just five goal contributions in 27 appearances
He has gone from scoring or creating a goal every 2.25 games to every 5.4 games
For a player who everyone is touting as Champions League level
that rumours linking him with a move away from east London have quietened in recent months
Graham Potter will no doubt be keen to keep him but must also be wondering how he can get the very best out of someone who is undoubtedly a very talented player
Perhaps that is what we are going to see between now and the end of the season
We are in a situation where Kudus is too good to be dropped but
so out of form there will be other players in the squad itching to take his place
If we can get the old Kudus back for the rest of the season
there is no doubt we will win more games than we will lose

Ghanaian midfielders Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus are at a career crossroads in London
as agents brace for tough negotiations that could reshape both players' futures — and their clubs’ financial strategies and balance sheets — ahead of a fiercely active summer transfer window
the tide has turned dramatically at Arsenal
the 31-year-old has staged a timely resurgence
proving pivotal to Arsenal’s ambitious push for UEFA Champions League glory
His revival has prompted manager Mikel Arteta and the club’s hierarchy to rethink their stance
with talks now underway to extend his stay beyond next summer
Partey's current five-year contract expires on June 30
and Arsenal are keen to avoid the financial and sporting risk of losing the experienced midfielder for nothing next summer
After months where an exit appeared inevitable
his return to prominence has forced a rethink at the Emirates
Arteta himself was unequivocal following Partey's commanding display against in their Champions League victory over Real Madrid: "Without a question of a doubt
Thomas Partey is a super important player for us
Arsenal have now opened contract talks with Partey’s representatives
exploring either a two-year extension or a one-year deal with an option for a further 12 months
there is a catch — the Gunners expect the Ghanaian to accept a significant salary reduction
Currently earning an estimated £200,000 a week (£10.4 million annually) — among Arsenal’s top earners — Partey faces the classic business dilemma: security versus earnings
Arsenal’s cautious approach is understandable
retaining the Ghanaian star on a lower wage makes perfect sense for the Gunners
sparing them the hefty outlay required to replace him in a tough market for defensive midfielders
The negotiations carry notable business lessons
Arsenal’s strategy reflects prudent risk management: retaining an experienced performer without committing to unsustainable wages
it allows for continuity and avoids a costly foray into an inflated market for defensive midfielders
Partey’s value to Arsenal this season is undeniable
Featuring more than in any previous campaign since his 2020 move from Atlético Madrid
even slotting in at right-back when injury crises struck
His versatility and experience offer Arsenal continuity — a priceless commodity as they navigate Europe’s elite competition and the financial pressures that come with squad building at the top level
Partey — valued by Barcelona among others — could leave on a Bosman transfer
offering him the luxury of choice for his final major contract
Corporate executives watching these talks can draw parallels to succession planning: organisations must assess the cost-benefit of retaining experienced hands versus investing in fresh talent
another Ghanaian star faces a career-defining decision
the Hammers’ £38 million signing from Dutch giants Ajax in 2023
particularly from Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al Nassr
Sports media channel TalkSPORT reports that Al Nassr are preparing an astonishing £85.3 million ($113.5m) bid for the 24-year-old
who has dazzled the Premier League with his versatility and flair
The prospect of teaming up with global icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane reflects his soaring stock value
It could not only elevate Kudus’ profile but also dramatically boost his earnings
Al Nassr’s interest is long-standing; they attempted a move in January
with the Saudi Pro League aggressively targeting young elite talent
Kudus is seen as a marquee acquisition to bolster their already star-studded front line
a move to Saudi Arabia would be life-changing for Kudus given Al Nassr’s generous salary structures
the financial riches of Saudi Arabia must be weighed against footballing ambitions
with newly crowned English Premier League champions keen to add the young Ghanaian’s dynamism to Arne Slot’s evolving squad
Kudus' contract includes an £80 million buyout clause for Premier League clubs
with Football Insider suggesting £70 million could be enough to secure his services
the financial logic is clear: cashing in on Kudus could fund critical reinforcements under new manager Graham Potter
Former club scout Mick Brown remarked that selling Kudus might be the most pragmatic path to strengthening the squad
It underscores a broader business truth — sometimes
parting with a star asset at peak value can underpin future growth
The Kudus situation also highlights the evolving dynamics of global sports business
The Saudi Pro League’s aggressive pursuit of European talent represents a shift in football’s traditional power centres
navigating this new financial landscape demands strategic foresight: balancing immediate monetary rewards with long-term career value
Partey’s situation offers a different kind of business consideration
Retaining an injury-prone yet proven performer at a reduced wage might represent sound value — a classic corporate tactic of renegotiating contracts to reflect updated risk profiles
rather than replacing high-cost legacy employees wholesale
Both Partey’s and Kudus’ situations offer pertinent business lessons for corporate executives navigating negotiations
Partey’s rejuvenation has shifted his bargaining position dramatically
Arsenal’s challenge is securing value without overcommitting to a player entering the twilight of his career
West Ham face a classic 'sell-high' dilemma: with Kudus’ market value at its peak and demand surging
the club must weigh the lure of an immediate financial windfall against the long-term value of retaining a proven performer

Al-Nassr are eyeing a move for Mohammed Kudus as West Ham might be forced to sell their star winger in the summer
Mohammed Kudus is hoping his promising personal record against Newcastle United can help him power West Ham United to success when the Tynesiders arrive in east London on Monday night
The Hammers are looking to extend their impressive winning run to three games under the London Stadium lights
having found some rhythm after a largely inconsistent season
and toppled both Arsenal and Leicester City in their last two games
While squad transition in the summer and a winter change in manager may have contributed to a testing campaign that has left the Club sitting 15th in the ranks with eleven games left
Kudus admits there is still plenty more to come from him personally
After finishing as runner-up in the voting for the 2023/24 Hammer of the Year award
following 14 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions during his debut season in Claret Blue
the Ghana international has struck three times in 25 outings this term
and endured a five-game suspension after being sent-off against Tottenham Hotspur in October
“I've been below the standards I've set for myself this season,” the 24-year-old said, speaking in an exclusive interview for the Official Programme
as we as a team had our expectations set very high
“I've been below the standards I've set for myself
With the standards I've set and what I've shown
I think everyone also expects a lot from me
“I'll keep doing my thing and keep trying until the last game of the season
I know a lot of things haven't gone well this season
“I've set very high expectations of myself
even more than what the fans and others think
and I know the input and impact I can have in a game
we’re at a stage right now where we are building and growing
“The most important thing for me is to keep going and keep believing in myself and doing my thing
who was appointed as Head Coach on 9 January
Kudus has adapted to being asked to play in a number of attacking positions due to injury
and he is now gradually rediscovering his proper rhythm
he has started every one of the boss’ eight games in charge in all competitions and duly played a role in Tomáš Souček’s opener against Leicester last time out
with our No14’s saved shot falling into the path of his Czech teammate
With the last few weeks of the campaign ahead of him
Kudus is determined to help drive his team as far up the top-flight table as possible
and reward the Club’s loyal supporters for their unwavering support
He said: “We're going in the right direction and want to continue
It's obviously going in the right direction
“We’re enjoying getting to grips with the new methods and ideologies the Head Coach has implemented
even though you don’t get a lot of time in this league
“We as players have the job to understand and adapt to fit it in with our style
I’m trying to fit in my style with how the manager sees me and how he wants me to play
so I’m just learning and trying to improve every single day
and you can see everyone aligns with how he (Potter) wants to play
The wins against Arsenal and Leicester City can be the turning point in our season
We are all really looking forward with confidence.”
Kudus will certainly take confidence from the fact that he has scored on each of his two previous appearances against Newcastle
including his first goal in the Premier League in this exact fixture last season
The team as a whole will be aiming to back up their 2-0 win in the reverse fixture at St James’ Park in November
and though he recognises the threats posed by an outfit challenging for UEFA Champions League qualification
who are set to contest the Carabao Cup final on 16 March
our Starboy is itching to guide his team to the double over the Magpies
“I’ve got fond memories of my first Premier League goal against Newcastle United last season,” Kudus added
“I think the first goal was the key to the padlock
and it's always difficult to play against them
but it's like that in every game in the league
I’ll have that little bit of extra confidence as I’ve scored two goals in two games against them
and hopefully I’ll be able to add another this afternoon.”

Liverpool are known to admire West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus and may be telling that Arne Slot praised a player who has a release clause this summer
Kudus was name-checked by both Slot and Virgil van Dijk after playing a big part in West Ham‘s fightback at Anfield on Sunday
“I can name you one or two players that could easily have played with us today,” Slot told his post-match press conference
The head coach labelled the Ghanaian “almost uncontrollable” in his interview with Sky Sports while, speaking to BBC Sport
Van Dijk said: “I think Paqueta and Kudus were making a lot of good things happen for them
“They had a bit of a free role, so it’s quite difficult to mark. So you have to also give credit to them…we all saw when they played Arsenal away
who turns 28 in August and is facing a lengthy ban after an FA charge over betting offences
who is known to have been on Liverpool’s radar for a number of years and
according to the Mail‘s Dominic King
has made a “big impression” on the squad in the past
In a post on X
King wrote: “He’s been making a big impression on Liverpool’s squad for a long
The dressing room was raving about his quality after Ajax played at Anfield in September 2022 and he scored.”
Liverpool were linked with Kudus in late 2022 and then again last summer
and with an overhaul of Slot’s attack expected in the next transfer window it would be no surprise if they held an interest this time around
According to The Athletic, the 24-year-old will be available to Premier League clubs this summer for a fee of £85 million due to a release clause in his contract
Whether that would appeal to Liverpool is doubtful, of course, as that would match the club-record outlay for Darwin Nunez in 2022 – and
However it does not rule out any negotiation with West Ham who
though in a strong position as Kudus is contracted to 2028 with an option to extend by a further 12 months
may come under pressure to sell due to their league finish
Kudus only enhanced his reputation with another positive showing in defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, and prominent praise of West Ham‘s No
14 – capable of playing in every role across the attack – should not go unnoticed

Mohammed Kudus is a player of West Ham
is highly likely to leave his current club during the upcoming summer transfer window following interest from top european clubs
The 24-year-old Ghanaian is being targeted by Chelsea
who are willing to pay his release clause of €106.5m
Chelsea view Kudus as the ideal replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk
who is suspended from football due to doping accusations
Chelsea's interest in Kudus has arisen amid the search for a new winger following Mudryk's absence since late November due to a suspension after testing positive for meldonium
Mudryk is currently awaiting the results of his B-sample test
and he could face a four-year ban if the second test is also positive
Kudus has played 28 matches across all competitions
scoring three goals and providing three assists
His contract with West Ham runs until June 2028
and his estimated value is 50 million euros
Tottenham have also shifted their radar on West Ham United winger Kudus
Spurs are one of the clubs named as having an interest in Kudus and therefore one of his options this summer
It also states that PSG have now opened talks with the Ghanaian's entourage
which could be a blow to the Lilywhites' pursuit
Spurs face stiff competition from Saudi side Al-Nassr
who've already made a marquee £87 million bid for the winger
which is above West Ham's £74 million asking price
While Tottenham have joined the race to sign Kudus
it would appear they are now very much up against it following PSG's reported approach
The 24-year-old has also suffered a drop in form this season compared to last
netting just three goals and registering two assists in 25 league starts this season
so it is perhaps Levy and co start looking elsewhere for a more obtainable wide option
West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus’ suspension has been upgraded to five games by the Football Association (FA) after his red card against Tottenham Hotspur in October
The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card for violent conduct following a video assistant referee (VAR) review in the second half of West Ham’s 4-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on October 19.
Kudus had initially been shown a yellow card by referee Andy Madley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after appearing to kick out at Spurs defender Micky van de Ven before pushing the Netherlands international in the face
He then went on to push opposition midfielder Pape Matar Sarr in the face before VAR official Chris Kavanagh recommended Madley reviewed the incidents on the screen
where it was alleged he acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct
The independent commission agreed the two offences should be treated as two separate incidents and therefore deemed an additional ban was necessary
Kudus submitted a letter to the FA on October 24
where despite believing Van de Ven had exaggerated the altercation
he apologised for the incident and stated that he was “deeply embarrassed” by his behaviour
The independent commission deemed his apology sincere
and also noted his acceptance of the charge and his previously clean disciplinary record when determining the length of his ban
Kudus also stated that his preparation for the game against Tottenham had been “physically and mentally challenging” after playing 90 minutes in Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Sudan in Libya just four days before
a defeat that left Ghana on the brink of failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
the FA said that because the game was a high-profile London derby
the “sustained and public nature” of Kudus’ “aggressive behaviour” as well as the level of force used by the Ghana international
a two-game suspension was a necessary punishment
Kudus has also been fined £60,000 ($77,294.69)
West Ham are 14h in the Premier League with just three wins from their opening ten league games of the season
They return to action against Everton on Saturday
Two goals in the closing minutes gave Brighton & Hove Albion a 3-2 victory over West Ham United at American Express Stadium on Saturday
Brighton led 1-0 at the break thanks to Yasin Ayari's stunning strike
but were pegged back just three minutes after the restart through Mohammed Kudus
before Tomáš Souček crashed a header home seven minutes from time
only for Kaoru Mitoma to head a goal of his own and then Carlos Baleba to fire home a third from long range
Only 13 minutes were on the clock when Ayari sized up his options from range and bent a wonderful shot beyond Alphonse Areola's dive and into the top right-hand corner to give the home side the lead
The Hammers enjoyed more possession in the first half and went close to levelling before the break when Souček's looping header was touched onto the crossbar by home goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen
They didn't have to wait long after the break to find the equaliser though as Jarrod Bowen burst into space down the right and cut back for Kudus to squeeze the ball home
West Ham continued to search for a second and were rewarded on 83 minutes when Bowen swung over another cross from that right-hand flank and Souček was there at the back post to nod home
the game was all square once again as Mitoma was in the right place at the right time to nod past Areola
There was still time for one final twist as
Baleba was given too much time to pick his spot with the decisive strike from outside the box

Mohammed Kudus has been so poor for West Ham this season, he had the owners desperately watching on in hope when he went away with Ghana over the international break
If anyone had told Hammers chief David Sullivan that Kudus would be going in to the last nine games of the Premier League season with a paltry three goals to his name
Not only is that the reality for West Ham and their faded star boy
Astonishingly for a player of his clear talent
Kudus has not scored for West Ham since a 1-1 draw against Brighton in December
It is some fall from grace after his scintillating debut season which saw him score 14 goals and lay on six assists for West Ham
Throw in the fact he has had a big bust-up with a manager and complete head loss during a game against Spurs which earned him a five-game ban and clubs are probably relieved they did not shell out £85m to trigger his release clause last summer
Julen Lopetegui was blamed for Kudus’ struggles
It may be that the hapless Spaniard set the ball rolling on Kudus’ second season syndrome
But hopes that the appointment of Graham Potter might spark Kudus into life have proved fanciful as the same struggles persist
West Ham’s owners admitted they ‘especially need Kudus to start scoring’ before he went off to play for Ghana
the Hammers desperately need to raise as much money as possible from player sales this summer in order to back Potter with signings to reshape the squad
Kudus has been the club’s most saleable asset for some time with offloading the likes of Jarrod Bowen a complete non-starter
So the Hammers board is desperate to see Kudus end the season strongly
There was relief when the 24-year-old did indeed end a year-long goal drought for Ghana
And it seemed to have the desired effect as far as West Ham are concerned
In the days after, Al-Nassr have made it known they are ready to bid £84 million for Kudus this summer, according to Ben Jacobs on Give Me Sport
That would instantly plug West Ham’s PSR black hole and the summer transfer window will suddenly become a hugely exciting one for Potter and Kyle Macaulay
So any board members watching the manager’s latest press conference would have had their hearts in mouths
Because Potter made a brutal and risky Kudus West Ham admission – but Al-Nassr will love what he said next
The last thing West Ham can afford to do now is jeopardise mega rich Al-Nassr’s Kudus interest in any way
But something fans have enjoyed since Potter’s appointment has been his clarity in communication and considered views on matters
When asked about Kudus in his pre-Wolves presser
the Hammers boss did not beat around the bush
Potter admits Kudus has had a disappointing season where he has not lived up to his high standards
he has made it clear he brings more to the table than just numbers
And he reassured any would-be suitors like Al-Nassr that there are no issues with Kudus’ discipline or attitude
Potter also sent a clear message to his Saudi suitors that it won’t take much for Kudus to explode back to his best again
I think he’s probably had a season that – from his perspective – would be a little bit disappointing,” Potter said
not because his lack of effort or anything like that – just sometimes these things happen
“Speaking personally he’s been great with us in terms of how he’s worked every day
built his condition up to the point where he can sustain things a lot better now
You can have a little spell where it doesn’t quite happen for you in front of goal or that final pass just doesn’t quite get there
“But it doesn’t take much to turn that around because how he contributed against Arsenal for example in our win there
top player in that game and massively helped us
“So the numbers do say something – but there’s also other aspects of his performance that have been really
Sullivan would have been breaking out in a cold sweat listening to the first part of Potter’s Kudus admission
Now West Ham will hope a strong finish can bring in that summer-saving bid
Any chance of Liverpool paying big to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham looked dead in the water this time last week
As news emerged from Anfield that Mohamed Salah was signing a new two-year deal with the Reds, the consequences for West Ham and Kudus seemed clear
The Hammers have made it clear sales are needed to raise money for signings this summer
West Ham have spent heavily in recent years and claim they are at their limit for PSR
As a result, the club are banking on selling the likes of Kudus for decent money to help fund Graham Potter’s rebuild
where he provided 20 goals and assists and was a fundamental player for the Hammers
the Ghanaian has been linked with Liverpool
But that was when Salah’s exit looked possible
Arne Slot had already admitted he is a big fan of Kudus
prior to West Ham’s defeat at Liverpool on Sunday
Salah’s new deal looked to have put paid to any chances of that move
That was clearly bad news for Kudus and West Ham given the club’s desperation for funds
It presents a problem for the Hammers because Kudus’ poor performances have seen West Ham’s options for a sale dwindle
Now Liverpool’s stunning U-turn on Kudus has triggered a West Ham fan divide
It seems West Ham’s faded star boy shone bright at just the right time
Daily Mail journalist Dominic King claims Kudus made a “big impression” on Liverpool at the weekend
He states their squad have been impressed by Kudus in the past and were raving to Arne Slot about the Hammers attacker again after a much-improved performance on Merseyside
Liverpool players actually urged the club to sign Kudus before he joined West Ham
after he scored at Anfield for Ajax in the Champions League
Both Reds boss Arne Slot and captain Virgil van Dijk both raved about Kudus after Liverpool beat West Ham 2-1
It’s now being claimed Liverpool have performed a U-turn and are back in for the Hammers star
with a number of players set to depart Anfield this summer
Slot has pledged to ‘make this team very strong’ this summer having spent only £12m on Federico Chiesa heading into his first season
But the renewed interest from the Reds has sparked a big debate among West Ham fans
On one side Hammers supporters are saying they will be happy to ship Kudus out
with many claiming he only performs against top clubs in a bid to try and catch the eye – and a move away
Others hope the club can keep the star Graham Potter claims is ‘world class’ for one more season
The comments may be of interest to Liverpool supporters about the kind of player they would be getting
One West Ham fan said: “I will never ever give up on him
I will never ever give up on him. He is simply too unique, too talented to not be one of the best. https://t.co/Mm3QSEoln4
Another felt fans get too carried away when Kudus plays well
“Pre social media this would just mean ‘good game’,” the fan responded
Another supporter feels Kudus often hampers West Ham
Hampered us with his poor and slow releasing.”
one Hammers fans thinks the fans and club will seriously regret losing Kudus if he is sold to Liverpool
Our fans want us to be a big club but are happy to let a world beating player go after one off season,” he said
Our fans want us to be a big club but are happy to let a world beating player go after one off season
One fan pointed out it is not Kudus’ performances against the likes of the champions-elect which are concerning
but his performances against the likes of Liverpool aren’t the issue
It is the performances against the Southampton’s and Brentford’s of the world that are the problem.”
stating Kudus peacocks against potential suitors like Liverpool
he now only performs against the better sides
His last two good performances have been against Liverpool and Arsenal
One supporter said he will be over the moon if Liverpool paid anything close to £80m to take Kudus off West Ham’s hands
I hope we sell him for £80 million that would be lovely.”
I hope we sell him for £80 million that would be lovely
Even supporters of other clubs got involved in the debate with one believes Kudus would thrive at West Ham in a proper setup
“Doesn’t fit your current manager but he’s genuinely class if you get a proper LW
Bowen on the right and a proper striker him behind them would be a scary forward line.”
revealing he was stunned by Kudus’ performance
“I was at the game and was astonished by how good he is
I was at the game and was astonished by how good he is
they won’t have to worry about competition from Arsenal
Earlier his month Hammers News revealed Arsenal have now moved on from Kudus after the appointment of new sporting director Andrea Berta
One club Slot will have to be wary of, though, is Premier League rivals Newcastle, who are said to be preparing a big money move for Kudus
Graham Potter is relishing the return of Premier League football as West Ham United prepare to play their first competitive fixture in 17 days at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening
With the March international window being followed by Emirates FA Cup sixth-round weekend
the Irons have not contested a top-flight game since drawing at Everton on Saturday 15 March
seven senior players have been away with their respective national teams
with captain Jarrod Bowen appearing twice in FIFA World Cup qualifiers for England
and Evan Ferguson scoring a vital UEFA Nations League play-off goal for Republic of Ireland
Both forwards returned to Rush Green training ground in positive mood ahead of the trip to Molineux
where the Hammers will be seeking to complete a Premier League double over an improving Wolves team who have collected ten points from their last six matches under Portuguese Head Coach Vítor Pereira
as there’s nothing you can do about the schedule
You’ve just got to hope that the guys have had a good
the ones that were away, and then we worked with the players that were here
I’m delighted for Jarrod Bowen winning two more England caps
It’s always good for our players to represent their countries and Jarrad’s no different. I think it helps them
it helps going away, it helps with a different experience and different environment
And then to come back and he’s come back in a good way
we’re looking forward to seeing him for the next two months or so just really push on and finish the season off strongly
in some ways it doesn’t matter where you get the points
if you get the points but at the same time you want to build that connection with your fans at home. You need that home record
So it’s a work in progress really to do both things well. We have an away game [on Tuesday evening] and we have to be competitive
We’ve gone to Arsenal and Chelsea and Aston Villa and been competitive and taken some points. I think Wolves will be another tough game because they’re a talented team. A new coach has come in and they’ve had some really good results
there’s always a challenge, there’s always something to it
a talented squad. The previous manager
probably was a little bit unlucky in terms of how the season started for them and then you get behind the mark a little bit.
But credit to the new manager [Vítor Pereira]
and it’s clear what they’re doing in terms of how they attack
They utilise the talent that they have well
not because of his lack of effort or anything like that
he’s been great with us in terms of how he’s worked every day
fantastic. He has built his fitness up
Football can go like that sometimes. You can have a little spell when it doesn’t quite happen for you in front of goal or your final pass just doesn’t quite get there
top player in that game and massively helped us. So the numbers say something
but there’s also the [other] aspects of his performance that have been really
it’s nice for them to score and it was nice for Evan to score for Ireland during the international window
He’s been doing a lot well and we know the sort of place that he was when he came [from Brighton] and where he was from an injury perspective and coming back from injury and his game time
So it was always going to be a little bit of a patience one with him.
He’s been good in training and he’s come back in a good place
he trains hard every day and he’s ready to play
Freddie has had a couple of really good loans
which I think is important for a player
It’s really important to have that accumulation of games, those minutes
We do a great job in terms of the Academy and development and have good programme internally
but sometimes you need to go out and play as well and he’s done that and he’s had the benefit of that
So we’re looking forward to him finishing the season off strong and then coming back and being part of our group in pre-season

Mohammed Kudus was proud of West Ham United’s performance on Sunday, despite ultimately suffering a 2-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Liverpool
After going behind to Luis Díaz's 18th-minute opener
and registered a deserved equaliser four minutes from time when Virgil van Dijk inadvertently played the ball off Andy Robertson’s shins
and in truth we would have been good value for it
only for van Dijk to rise above his marker to nod in Alexis Mac Allister’s corner and earn Liverpool all three points close to the death
Although ultimately coming out of the game empty-handed
Kudus was impressed with the all-round display
that he believes was full of encouraging signs
“I'm very proud of the team and everyone because we gave it our all,” said Kudus
“We knew playing at Anfield against the best team in the league was going to be a tough challenge
but I think everyone stood up against it for the whole game
the last piece of concentration in the game
but I think everyone was on top form today
and I'm proud of the team. We can take this as a positive and get ready for the next game
You could see that in the second half we started to play more
It's just about having the confidence to play in difficult stadiums like this
“I felt that we were in control in the second half in some parts of the game
and we kept going and started creating a lot of chances
“There were some good saves from their goalkeeper (Alisson) as well
We can take this and focus on the next game.”
Although the Hammers missed out on becoming just the fourth team to take at least a point from Anfield in the league this term
Graham Potter’s side were given a rapturous reception by their 3,000-strong travelling support at the end
and Kudus says performances such as Sunday’s are the very minimum that the Claret and Blue Army deserve
encouragement and everything from the whole team is the least we can give the fans,” our No14 added. “We lost the game
but you could see the energy from the fans after the game
and they know that we put in a good shift and we did our best
and for the rest of the season we will be doing our best to get results and finish the season strongly.”
Growing up as a young boy in Nima, in Ghana, Mohammed Kudus used to dream of following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari and play in the Premier League
Now an established attacking midfielder for West Ham United, Kudus shares his journey to the east end of London in the video above, celebrating the diversity of the Premier League through the theme of "Greatness comes from everywhere" as part of the No Room For Racism initiative
"You have to be very tough to sustain yourself in an area like that
"To start all the way from Nima and then leave home very early takes a lot of discipline and sacrifices to stick on that path and not lose your soul
"To become a Premier League player, it means a lot for me. I feel it's also a responsibility for me because growing up with the Michael Essiens and all these guys
I try [to] look back and make the guys coming from Nima now believe that they can do it even better than the point I am now
"But that also comes with responsibility on how I throw light on where I'm from
how I carry myself and how I represent Ghana and Nima as a whole."
Kudus has been good to his word and took an opportunity to shine a light on his homeland in December when he celebrated scoring against Brighton & Hove Albion by picking out a wooden seat with a carved elephant from behind the goal and then sitting on it with team-mate Crysencio Summerville
So I thought it would be nice to share a little bit of life where I am from."
Having the opportunity to be a role model and also give Ghana greater visibility is something Kudus is proud of
"It [playing] comes with that responsibility
but I like it because it's a positive feeling to know that someone can dream through your achievement
"My idea of greatness is using your God-given talent to have an impact on other people's lives and where you're coming from
