manajer advokasi Walhi Sulteng menambahkan
bahkan status tersangka Murad berubah menjadi saksi
“Kasus kejahatan lingkungan KLS tidak pernah mendapat respon
Sedangkan semua perlawanan petani mempertahankan tanah selalu menjadi korban intimidasi
Penangkapan ketika Eva bersama petani aksi protes
melainkan mengawasi karyawan KLS menanam sawit
Kontras menyoroti sikap Kejaksaan Negeri Luwuk bersama Kejaksaan Agung begitu agresif menangkap Eva
menghadapi kekuasaan perkebunan kelapa sawit PT Kurnia Luwuk Sejati (KLS) milik Murad Husain bersama isterinya
perusahaan ini melakukan ekspansi secara ilegal…” Begitu kutipan surat itu
Kini, Mustafa Surya dari Solidaritas untuk Eva Susanti Bande membuat petisi Bebaskan Eva Bande dan Tutup, Tangkap Pemilik PT. KLS, Murad Husain, di change.org.

Jakarta. The Ministry of Transportation has deployed patrol boats in search of 17 missing crewmembers of the cargo ship KM Lintas Timur, which is believed to have sunk in the Banggai Sea off Central Sulawesi on Saturday, an official said on Wednesday.
The vessel was on its way from Bitung Port in North Sulawesi to Morowali in Central Sulawesi at the time of the incident.
"We suspect the cargo ship KM Lintas Timur sank in rough seas that occurred in the area in recent days. One crewmember was found in the waters off Bangkep near Buko subdistrict," Ahmad, director of the Indonesian Sea and Coast Guard (KPLP) in Luwuk, Central Sulawesi, said in a statement issued by the ministry.
The ship departed from Bitung Port on May 28 with 3,000 sacks of cement on board.
The survivor was rescued by a passing ship, NV Nurbayaksar, and taken to a medical facility in Luwuk.
Ahmad said the authorities had issued a warning to all shipping operators about the possibility of rough seas off Bangkep, Batui-Toili and Morowali in June and July, based on forecasts by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
"Search and rescue teams continue to look for the missing crewmembers. We hope they can be found soon," Ahmad said.
SATURDAY, APRIL 13, 2019|AFP PlayLoading... Luwuk, Indonesia - Some panicked residents of a quake-hit Indonesian island have refused to return home after the tremor triggered a brief tsunami warning and fears there was more to come, the disaster agency said Saturday.Aftershocks rippled across the east coast of Sulawesi -- an island where thousands were killed in a quake-tsunami last year -- as officials scrambled to assess whether there are any casualties or major damage.
While one resident of quake-hit Luwuk city reportedly died after falling while trying to flee, the agency has not reported any confirmed deaths or injuries.
An AFP reporter in the city said there were no signs of major property damage.
"The situation is returning to normal," the disaster agency said early Saturday morning.
Some 1,300 families have returned home, it said, adding that some residents of another small island near the epicentre of Friday's 6.8 magnitude quake were still refusing to return from higher ground.
It did not say how many residents had refused to leave the high ground.
Luwuk resident Emiliana Rumayer said she and her family slept in the hills overnight "but we've now returned home".
Mohammad Sholeh, police chief of Poso city on Sulawesi, said the quake's impact there had been minor.
"There's a little bit of damage, but nothing significant and there are no casualties," he said.
On Friday, a tsunami warning was issued for coastal communities in Morowali district, where residents were advised to move away from the coast.
The warning was later lifted by the disaster agency, which had estimated the wave at under a half a metre (20 inches).
Video footage from Luwuk showed scared residents -- some carrying children -- running from their homes and racing to higher ground on motorcycles.
The quake struck at a relatively shallow depth of 17 kilometres (10 miles) off Sulawesi, where a 7.5-magnitude quake-tsunami around the city of Palu killed more than 4,300 people last year.
Residents of Palu, which is hundreds of kilometres away from Friday's epicentre, still felt the quake.
Indonesia is one of the most disaster-prone nations on Earth due to its position straddling the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates collide.
On Boxing Day 2004, a 9.1-magnitude earthquake struck westernmost Aceh province, causing a tsunami and killing more than 170,000 in Indonesia.
Last year Indonesia experienced more than 2,500 disasters ranging from a series of deadly earthquakes to killer landslides and volcanic eruptions.

Eva was sentenced to four years in prison in 2010 for defending farmers against national palm oil company Kurnia Luwuk Sejahtera (KLS) in her hometown in Luwuk
A law graduate from Tadulako University in Palu
Eva has always been interested in human rights issues since her student days.
Eva began her long career as an activist in 1998 while still a university student
advocating for survivors of sexual violence and fighting for the rights of women and children
She got involved in a student organization called the "Central Sulawesi Student Front," where she met many other women's rights activists
It was also in this organization that Eva first developed her interest in land rights issues
she began to hear complaints against palm oil companies stealing their farmland and forcefully evicting local indigenous people in her hometown.
Eva founded the People’s Front of Central Sulawesi Palm Oil Advocacy (FRAS)
a foundation committed to fighting criminalization of farmers and land grabbing
Eva has dedicated her life defending the rights of local farmers in her hometown
The 40-year-old has fought alongside farmers from Toli
Bukit Jaya and Tou to protect their land from environmental disaster wrought by palm oil companies
"Becoming a human rights activist is my choice in life
simply cannot be tolerated," she said.
"Land rights is the most basic human rights
Land is the source of all things living and where they will eventually return," Eva said
Eva has also helped with fighting violence against women in rural areas in Central Sulawesi.
founded the women's rights organization "Central Sulawesi Group for Women's Equity" (KPKP-ST) in 2003
the first organization of its kind to be opened after the bloody Poso sectarian conflict
Her experience behind bars has not dampened Eva's spirit in voicing the concerns of Central Sulawesi women and farmers
Eva continued to organize from her prison cell
"They continued the fight, and advocated on my behalf tirelessly
because we are also fighting for someone else’s life
I made a commitment to fight no matter the consequences
Eva's time in prison was hard not only for her fellow activists
The mother of three had to leave her young kids and her husband at home while she was away
She said in an interview in Central Jakarta last week that she struggles to explain her imprisonment to her children
"It was quite emotional for me because they were too young to understand what happened
It took me three months to come up with an answer," she said
Eva said she told her children that she had to go away to study at a school to become a teacher
"That was the only thing I could say to my kids
so they don't have to deal with too much trauma
My prison was a 14-hour drive from my hometown
and they took the long trip every week to see me," she said.
Another thing Eva has strong concerns about is education
Eva grew up in the small town of Luwuk in Central Sulawesi in a very conservative family
didn’t want Eva to go to university and expected her to find a job right away after graduating from high school
But Eva is equally stubborn and insisted she would get a college degree.
"I was always the curious kid in the family
Most of my days were spent in the bedroom reading books and studying," Eva said
Eva's father refused to pay for her college tuition
so Eva had to find a part-time job as a radio jockey at one of the local stations in Luwuk
"I don’t take no for an answer,” she said
"Education is the greatest weapon to fight against injustice
That's what I have always told myself."
Eva said the knowledge she gained from her law studies has enabled her to assist other people
'knowledge can’t be discussed only in classrooms
it has to be put into practice,'" Eva said.
"I take that comment very seriously and I teach that to my students
I am hopeful that they will continue my legacy," she said.
Eva is still fighting alongside local farmers against land grabbing and environmental damage in her area
Last month she won the prestigious human rights award Yap Thiam Hien for her dedication and commitment in defending human rights
Eva is one of very few women activists who dare to speak up against environmental destruction.
The other women activists who also received the Yap Thiam Hien award were Aleta Baun from Mollo
and Gunarti from Sedulur Sikep community in Pati
We have to continue our fight so our community becomes ever stronger
because the fight is far from over," Eva said

The Donggi-Senoro LNG project involved the construction of a natural gas liquefaction plant near Luwuk in Central Sulawesi
The new plant has a capacity of 2Mt (million tons) of LNG and associated condensate a year
The project was executed by Donggi-Senoro LNG
Donggi Senoro LNG plant began operations in June 2015 and supplied its first LNG cargo to Arun LNG receiving terminal in August 2015
The total investment on the project is estimated at $2.9bn
99.7% of the construction work of the LNG project was completed
Indonesia is estimated to hold the biggest natural gas reserves in Asia and is the world’s third biggest exporter of LNG
has been on the decline due to maturation of the existing gas fields
The new plant is expected to boost LNG production rates in Indonesia
It is the country’s fourth LNG facility
The new plant comprises a single LNG processing train and uses Air Products’ multi-component refrigerant LNG process technology to liquefy natural gas
natural gas is pre-cooled with propane before it enters the main cryogenic heat exchanger
The natural gas is again cooled in the multi-component refrigerant cryogenic
and liquefied using a mixture of nitrogen and light hydrocarbons such as methane and ethane
Natural gas for the plant is supplied by the Senoro-Toili field (250 billion cubic feet of gas a day) and Matindok field (85 billion cubic feet of gas a day) in Central Sulawesi
The Senoro field is operated by Pertamina Energy Services and Medco LNG Indonesia
The Matindok field is operated by Pertamina
The LNG project involves companies from three countries
Donggi-Senoro LNG was established as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation
The final investment decision on the project was taken by the partners in January 2011
Mitsubishi established a special-purpose vehicle called Sulawesi LNG Development
which became a partner in the project in 2011
Pertamina holds 29% and Medco holds 11.1% in the project
Mitsubishi is the majority stakeholder in the project and played a key role in the initial stages of its development
Mitsubishi acquired 20% interest in the Senoro-Toili field for $260m
The acquisition was made to improve both its upstream and downstream businesses
Pertamina invested approximately $800m in the new plant and $300m in developing the Senoro field
It invested an additional $275m in the development of the Matindok field
Medco invested $310.8m in the construction of the new plant and $300m in the development of the Senoro field
processes the gas from a huge reserve discovered in 1972 at Badak Field
construction and commissioning services was awarded to JGC Corporation
The scope of this contract included the construction of a single LNG processing train plant and associated facilities
JGC Corporation awarded a contract to Air Products for providing its patented propane pre-cooled mixed refrigerant process for the new plant
Air Products also supplied a multi-component refrigerant main heat exchanger for the plant
JGC Corporation subcontracted McConnell Dowell Indonesia to build the plant’s marine facilities
McConnell Dowell Indonesia’s scope of work included the fabrication and supply of 500 steel pipes
a steel reinforcement for jetty and a material offloading facility
Approximately 1Mt of LNG produced by the plant a year is supplied to Chubu Electric Power
Kyushu Electric Power is supplied with 300,000t of LNG a year
while Korea Gas Corporation is expected to import 700,000t a year
