Journal of Clinical Nutrition Ultra-processed food consumption is associated with the acceleration of biological aging in the Moli-sani Study Healthy diets have been inversely associated with biological aging. However, the nutritional content is only one aspect of the overall food health potential, and more recently, increasing attention has been paid to nonnutrient food characteristics, such as food processing. To examine the association of ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption with biological aging measured by circulating blood biomarkers. A diet rich in UPF was associated with an acceleration of biological aging in a large sample of Italian adults. The poor nutritional composition of highly processed foods weakly accounted for this association, suggesting that biological aging could be adversely influenced by nonnutrient characteristics of these foods. My name is Domenic Casamassima and I am excited to announce my candidacy for a seat on the Masconomet Regional School Committee for the town of Middleton / Tri-town Community . In 2015, my wife Danielle and I decided to move out of Wakefield with our two children and establish ourselves in a small, close-knit community. In the past six years we have had the absolute privilege of having our daughter attend Fuller Meadow, Howe-Manning and now prepare herself for Masco. Our son has flourished in Fuller Meadow and now is ready for the challenges and opportunities awaiting him at Howe-Manning. These two schools, and their staff, exemplify the importance of what I call foundation learning. As with any construction project you can always build higher as long as the foundation is in place to support what is above. My goal is simple one…. Get involved to ensure that our school system is the best that it can be for our children and ensure that they have every opportunity to flourish in every aspect of their academic lives, whether it’s in a classroom, art studio, after-school club or on a field. They get one shot at this; Let’s make sure the odds are in their favor. 2023 ShareSave In correspondence with other writers over the years Joseph Conrad often referred to Henry James as “The Master.” He would not be the only writer to do so the kind who attracted the adulation of his peers Conrad once described James’s writerly talent as a “magic spring” flowing “without languor or violence in its force opening new visions at every turn of its course.” and offers a lesson for our politically chaotic times we believe followed by a string of rhetorically charged slogans These signs are sometimes the weapons of lawn-ornament wars that reduce political discourse among those who disagree with each other to dueling Blue Lives Matter and Black Lives Matter flags It’s hard to imagine that the politically disengaged work of Henry James would have much to offer this situation—but the novel is politically disengaged only if we limit our understanding of politics to rhetoric We can learn something from James about our own politics: how to let go of our political identities in service of political actions Read: The dangerous rise of ‘front-yard politics’ The names and dates of hot-button political fights in James’s day may have been different On one side of English politics in the 1880s the Liberal Party claimed to protect the poor and disadvantaged but was mistrusted by the people as made up of bureaucrats and performers who cared only about lining their own pockets a Conservative Party preached national values tied to nostalgia for a mythologized past and its members did everything in their power to protect the hyper-wealthy elite who kept them in office the Social Democratic Federation was established Its early leaders included the writer and visual artist William Morris who would later be executed for his role as commander in chief of Ireland’s Easter Rising This political backdrop offered a loose model for James in developing Hyacinth’s revolutionaries It was a time of extraordinary political turmoil and unrest Soon after Casamassima appeared in this magazine police in London violently quashed a Socialist-led protest in an event that came to be known as Bloody Sunday—one of many instances of police violence to go by that name Casamassima is less a debate between two sides than a portrait of the tense political scene playing out in London at the time it was published—the novel is a portrait of the dangers of thinking that either side can offer a realistic model for understanding an individual’s relationship to civic society Hyacinth’s ingratiation with revolutionary circles starts out the way these things typically do: a vague politics supported by occasional attendance at barroom meetings where one performs much shouting before returning home He is introduced to these meetings by Poupin an older man from his workplace who seems to speak only in political slogans except that he meets the Princess Casamassima an aristocrat who wants nothing more than to devote herself to the Cause so long as there is a real Cause to be devoted to So Hyacinth gets more involved with socialism in direct proportion to his growing involvement with the Princess a contradiction that propels the story along He encounters the beautiful world that wealth makes possible and at the same time pledges himself to someday commit violence for the Cause The last third of the novel is given up to Hyacinth’s fluctuations of feeling as the possibility of that violence looms and the Princess becomes more and more invested in the Cause herself giving up the ornate furnishings and artworks she previously surrounded herself with Hyacinth is called on to commit an assassination and the novel ends with the crisis of him deciding whether or not he can bring himself to do it James’s novels are concerned almost exclusively with the mind but in Casamassima every character whose politics are based on ideas is mocked By the end of the novel Poupin is described in hideous terms: His “ardent eyes always expressive of the greatness of the occasion had never seemed to him to protrude so far from his head.” Poupin is no villain in the novel and in fact the novel has no discernibly malicious character keep repeating the slogans he seems to feel he is supposed to say rather than taking political action like Hyacinth does and grows grotesque and insectlike along the way The upper-middle-class liberals whose politics remain within the bounds of their lawn ornaments might find something to relate to in Poupin there is little expectation that they will act on their political slogans because they are clearly disinterested in following through on their incessant talk “Look at the way he has picked up all the silly bits of catchwords!” The only people Paul actually respects in the novel are those who visit his bedridden sister Paul Muniment has an attitude toward political life that we could use more of today: a politically involved person who doesn’t care about what you say so much as what you do Read: The political novel gets very, very specific The novel has as many defenders of the aristocracy as it does of the revolution. Hyacinth’s foster mother, Pinnie, worships the idea of the aristocracy in much the same way that Silicon Valley fanboys reflexively defend Elon Musk: with an almost endearing lack of information the estranged husband of the novel’s title character is treated even more comically than Pinnie for his contempt toward anyone without a title the Prince comes off as a surprisingly contemporary character—the way he warps everything he encounters makes him conspicuously like the culture warriors who denounce “wokeism” but cannot define it Not all who support the aristocracy are made fun of by the novel: An old woman named Madame Grandoni lives with the Princess and disagrees with her growing involvement with the revolution saying throughout that there is a point at which she will no longer be able to stay with the Princess and implicitly sanction her behavior Madame Grandoni has left; her clear-eyed understanding of the politics around her and the material role she plays is never treated with anything but dignity There is a lesson here too: Rather than degrading oneself like the Prince skulking around the world looking for clues that your worst nightmares have come true you should instead be like Madame Grandoni When you find yourself in a situation that you dislike or that you think you are inadvertently enabling simply make your disapproval quietly clear Casamassima shows us how rhetoric makes politics ridiculous and toothless—how ideologies when rigidly defined by the slogans and catchwords we think we’re supposed to believe in This is what makes Hyacinth’s fate by the end of the novel so tragic gave a stirring stump speech about his willingness to do more than speak and was condemned to action he didn’t believe in because the language he had learned to mimic made unsubtle claims that he would fully understand only when it was too late Too often people today fall into the same trap They parrot rhetoric without understanding that their words should be based on their actions we would do well to learn from Hyacinth’s mistake When you buy a book using a link on this page Christopher Casamassima is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses on complex business disputes involving antitrust He has achieved significant victories on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of industries Casamassima has led the defense for numerous corporate clients facing class action claims qui tam claims and other matters involving significant potential exposure He has represented clients in high-profile matters impacting the Los Angeles business community including representing Sony Pictures Entertainment after the company was left reeling from a data breach when thousands of documents were published online including personal email correspondence executive pay and unreleased films and scripts Casamassima is also an active member of the legal community active in the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section Return To Index Learn how to describe the purpose of the image (opens in a new tab) Leave empty if the image is purely decorative Noemi Distefano When Paolo Casamassima was appointed CEO of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) in December 2023 said Casamassima brought ‘outstanding and relevant experience to his new role’ and that he would ‘contribute enormously to the further development of MEIRA’s offering for the benefit of our members and partners.’ was looking for a Spanish and Italian speaker and I decided to give it a go and joined his team in London What are your aspirations as the new CEO of MEIRA I would like MEIRA to become the most disruptive IR association worldwide and I want to start by creating a number of very bespoke IR courses MEIRA offers members education courses and certifications So we are revisiting the material we have available and we have started to create bespoke courses These include sector-focused programs and eventually we would like to introduce country-focused courses we have introduced the first IR in telecoms course which is tailored to IROs working in the telecoms sector or those who would like to make a transition from another industry to telecoms We have announced an IR in the oil & gas sector course – which we will start in May – and we will also have the first IR in the metals & mining industry course We are reviewing the list of our members and our goal is to cover all sectors or at least the largest sectors based on what our members require I have always felt that perhaps IR associations miss one piece of the puzzle The capital markets wouldn’t be capital markets without institutional investors which is why I want to open up the association to institutional investors And I am pleased to say we welcomed our first buy-side member two months ago: Mayar Capital Which lessons from your experience in capital markets around the world do you bring to your role at MEIRA In my previous role as head of global marketing intelligence at Orient Capital I led three divisions: shareholder analysis And one of the first things I did when I joined MEIRA was to conduct a survey of our members’ sentiment toward MEIRA I’ve listed at least five areas where members would like to see more from us – one of which is to see a lot more buy-side engagement they would like to see more bespoke education I have always been client-focused and I see our members as my clients so we are really trying to think outside the box to provide a lot more value to our members If you were to highlight three trends and three challenges in the regions covered by MEIRA Let’s start with trends. ESG is a big trend in the sense that we are seeing an increased push by regulators – and others – toward further disclosure from companies Bahrain introduced a set of mandatory ESG disclosure rules; by December 2024 all corporates in the country will have to disclose ESG-related data based on a specific set of criteria but it’s likely it will start to happen in other regions covered by MEIRA as well That’s because while there are a multitude of service providers and consultants There is a myriad of frameworks and company and sector-specific considerations that need to be complied with and then there are investors’ requirements – that’s a huge challenge for IR I would add that IR professionals can’t be experts in the E they are likely to have to pay a consultant who can help them in this disclosure journey At MEIRA we are trying to strengthen our offering in terms of ESG education for IROs but we have started rolling out events on the topic and will further develop programs and seminars on this front there is a significant shift toward CRM platforms being used as an IR management tool this will continue to be an important trend the impact of AI on the IR function is another challenge While it will help with some IR-related tasks the first risk is that it can make engagement with the buy side a lot more complex you will be facing institutional investors that because of AI they were maybe conducting peer analysis and comparing a stock against five or 10 others it’s likely they will be able to come up with comparisons across an entire industry It will become increasingly difficult for IR to face the buy side The other challenge AI poses is with regards to the profession One member told me that within a few years AI will make at least a third of IROs redundant some corporates are already starting to consider bots for automating some of the IR-related processes and responses to investors’ queries We have been having conversations that highlight a shortage of IROs in the region I wouldn’t say there is a shortage of IR professionals: in Saudi Arabia alone there are more than 250 IROs As the judge at a recent event in Saudi Arabia I’ve also been reviewing lots of applications for best IR program and best ESG program for the awards at the Saudi Capital Market Forum and I can say the quality of the applications we received was very high Compared with other countries such as the UK or the US there is a difference in this region in terms of the level of engagement IROs have with senior management but many – the IR function is still seen as almost a PR role and access to management or the board is limited for the function to achieve its full potential and to be respected as much as it is in the UK or the US Do you think the trust placed in IR is directly linked to the size of a company I’ve seen a small-cap company based in Jeddah hire a very ambitious IRO and this company is now proactive when it comes to its investor relations program and strategy; previously it appeared reluctant to have an active IR professional I’ve also worked with companies that perhaps had a very proactive approach to IR and then suddenly decided to run without it You will find that even companies that are experiencing exponential growth can decide not to have a full-time IR practitioner Are investors in the region prepared to engage with IR instead of directly with management I think there should be a transition period whereby IR starts to be always present and then slowly goes independent if historically there has not been an IRO going out to talk to investors it will be necessary to have a transition period where management will introduce the function and the practitioner to investors there should be a strategy and plan that aim to boost the IR function to its full value and potential within the company itself If you could pass on one IR lesson to IROs in the Middle East right now Don’t be afraid of engaging with senior management and Educate yourself about the equity story so you can confidently engage and communicate with institutional investors – only then will you become the point of contact between your company and its investors you will have become an IRO in the way the profession is seen in the western world In partnership with WHEN 8.00 am PT / 11.00 am ET / 4.00 pm BST / 5.00 pm CET DURATION 45 minutes About the event Amid constant tariff news geopolitical upheaval and other developments stemming from the new US administration IR teams have their work cut out as they prepare… In partnership with WHEN 8.00 am PT / 11.00 am ET / 4.00 pm BST / 5.00 pm CET DURATION 45 minutes About the event The demands on IR teams have climbed steadily in recent years An invitation-only event exclusively for senior IR officers Stay informed on critical issues affecting IR teams Our new tool lets you benchmark your IR program against peers in your region and sector Packed with industry trends and insights that define best-in-class practices across key Powered by the world’s largest survey of the buy side discover data-driven insights on running a successful IR program Save articles to a personalized dashboard and share with peers David is survived by his longtime companion and Joan (Salvidio) Casamassima of Northborough; With streaming services like Netflix and Hulu it is doubtful that another episode of television will ever earn such a rating again Winners of the Post-Standard Seinfeld look-a-like contest in May 1998 It is also doubtful that a current show's finale could garner as much attention as "Seinfeld's." The Post-Standard had coverage during the week leading up to the finale Reporter William LaRue did an interview with Jerry Stiller before the finale Stiller said he initially turned down the role of Frank Costanza because he was then working on Broadway doing rehearsals for the play "Three Men on a Horse." He did not think it fair to his fellow cast members if he skipped days to tape a television show He heard that Rodney Dangerfield was being considered for the part But the producers held out for Stiller until he was available "It was really the first time I ever turned down anything in my life," he said I made sure for my first time that I turned down a big one." LaRue had another role that week: being the newspaper staff's "Seinfeld" hater "I don't like 'Seinfeld,'" he wrote I can't recall one episode that gave me a good belly laugh." Music critic Mark Bialczak argued the other side in the debate: "Seinfeld" was the "gem that captured the nation's fancy like so few TV comedies before it." The Post-Standard ran two contests during the week The first found Central New York look-a-likes for each of the show's four iconic characters but they looked so authentic that "after we dressed them up and poufed their hair (yes that during a photo shoot at a local diner one woman stopped us to ask Another contest allowed area fans to write the most creative ending to the show One of the winners predicted the show ending with the characters stranded on an island after Donald Trump allows Kramer to watch one of his yachts Kramer takes them on a tour until they ship wreck on a small island between Manhattan and Martha's Vineyard The optimistic fan said that scenario "leaves the door open for future episodes." The Syracuse SkyChiefs were happy. Their encounter leads not to the sex that Matthew desires but to an apartment where he meets two of Leif’s friends who soon encourage Matthew to join them in a game involving tarot cards but recruited: Leif and his friends are participants in the Occupy movement they are convinced that they possess psychic abilities which they can use to help their fellow-activists; the game with tarot cards is intended to see if Matthew shares their occult talents Matthew is bemused but willing; among the many virtues of cruising as a narrative device is that it can dispose a character to play along in uncongenial situations “Sometimes during a pickup it was advisable to be as parsimonious as a diplomat with statements of how much one believed or disbelieved,” Crain writes Leif and his friends call themselves the Working Group for the Refinement of the Perception of Feelings The “perception of feelings” is a euphemism for telepathy although what telepathy means in the novel is not entirely clear it is “an alternative means of communication.” Meanwhile Raleigh wants to use Leif and Elspeth’s psychic powers—which he lacks—to hack into government and corporate databases and expose their secrets a handsome mover who has no esoteric gifts but believes in Leif and Elspeth’s abilities cultured woman who joins after speaking with Raleigh and Matthew at an Occupy protest in a city plaza that calls to mind Zuccotti Park the group watches police officers beat a protester “as if he were a nail that they were competing to hammer”; afterward Leif attempts to psychically hack into the computer of a government contractor by telepathically obtaining his password They are described as threats to national security The legal complications and media frenzy that result determine the plot of much of what follows Point of view shifts between each of the members of the group “the only one who’s really any good” at telepathy This allows the novel to remain agnostic about his true abilities and about its own stance toward psychic powers more generally Leif suggests that “it’s a funny kind of metaphor,” in which one of the components of the figure is obscured One might say the same for the device of psychic powers in the novel The book variously suggests that it might stand for surveillance or literary criticism (the members of the working group call the ability “reading”) Or maybe it can represent anything we only sort of believe in: authority although “the integrity of our bodies isolates us,” the imaginative faculty of sympathy—“a work of fiction with real effects”—allows us some meaningful access to the experience of others But it is difficult to get from her levelheaded explanation of it to Leif’s conviction that he will be able to telepathically hack into a government computer—and it’s a problem for the effectiveness of the plot that few of the characters seem entirely sure how much they share his conviction (Only Leif and Chris seem wholeheartedly to believe; the group’s apparent success in divining the contractor’s password will prove a baited trap a possibility of extrasensory perception is allowed to hover.) The novel treads a fine line: the characters must be skeptical so that we can take them seriously; but they must believe in their abilities enough to set the plot in motion and it’s important for the earnest tone and emotional investments of the book that their belief never seem ridiculous The result is a plot that never convinces or even But plot is very nearly incidental to this novel; all of its real conviction lies in style to take seriously the idea of prose as a technology for “the refinement of the perception of feelings” What would it mean to find in such perception the primary drama of a work of fiction and the source of its powerful emotional hold resides in the extent to which it provides an answer In the introduction to the New York edition of “The Princess Casamassima,” James asserts that “the agents in any drama” are “interesting only in proportion as they feel their respective situations Their being finely aware—as Hamlet and Lear are finely aware—makes absolutely the intensity of their adventure.” By this measure Crain’s characters are extreme adventurers The novel is virtuosic in mining beauty and pathos from the texture of daily life; reading Crain’s prose can feel like seeing a world made hyper-real as through some phenomenological Instagram filter Blades of grass in the rain tremble “like tines plucked by the rotor of a music box”; a pen twirls in a man’s hand “unfurling into a pinwheel and then condensing into a pen again”; a chair creaks “as if a cricket had found enough daring for one stridulation.” (The extravagance of that last lies not in “cricket” or even “stridulation,” but in the attribution of “daring.”) The text is peppered with little excurses of wonder: She had to use a knife to pry apart the slices of bread some of the crystals of rime with which the bread was diamonded The pith of each slice of bread had been bleached to an uncanny Crain luxuriates in obscure and outdated words “subfusc,” “quilped,” “dolichocephalic,” “jaillissant.” Some of this may be a kind of nostalgia; one senses that Matthew speaks for Crain when he admits—echoing James’s “tears of generations”—that “he always felt a little protective of a thing if it spoke of the past.” But the impression is less of preciousness than of an intelligence jealous of all its resources for precision One limitation of such extravagance of style in close third-person narration is that it requires characters who can be imagined to have such words and perceptions in reach Three of Crain’s point-of-view characters—Matthew and Julia—are aspiring writers of some kind Proportion is a good guide to authorial investment: Elspeth and Matthew’s sections amount to nearly two-thirds of the book They are given this prominence because they are the novel’s finest perceivers but also because they are the characters who love Leif most intensely: Leif is the novel’s center of gravity Matthew’s devotion to Leif grows even as Leif who feels responsible for the trouble he and his friends find themselves in loses “the swan’s-neck nonchalance” that had first made him so attractive In the sections devoted to their relationship Crain’s style of elevated perception becomes a sharp tool for psychological notation Matthew is returning home with Leif after a meeting with an attorney when he notices a man cruising him on the subway both because “cruising was one of the analog practices that the internet was rendering obsolete” and because he is so visibly attached to Leif But the man’s “eyes suggested that he was telling a story about himself in which he didn’t mind that he was misbehaving,” and Matthew is excited by this; he imagines being subdued by the shoulders and arms the man is showing off And he imagines the greater pleasure of being free to indulge in “the animal life of the city.” But he turns away from temptation having instead “chosen to have a name and to be part of a story.” to judge by common logic,” James writes of his princess and my frustrations with Crain’s beautifully rendered novel finally feel irrelevant in light of such scenes of what Crain uncovers—the quick delight of “animal life” set against the more burdensome pleasures of bearing a name and a story—as he painstakingly tracks the inner lives of his characters But psychological acuity alone does not account for the novel’s effect on the reader which depends more profoundly on the curious plangency of its style with their jewelled words and carefully curated perceptions the novel’s characters articulate an adversarial posture toward contemporary life They see themselves as in “a war over perceiving Over what we’re allowed to perceive,” Leif says They lodge complaints against the Internet’s “general sloppiness of expression,” which makes the achievement of fine effects—the sorts of effects that are Crain’s aim—more difficult to discern and against a general intolerance of inwardness “People get so angry now when they see someone paying more attention to thoughts and feelings than they think thoughts and feelings deserve,” Elspeth says “It’s like there’s a new sumptuary law against introspection.” own shares in or receive funding from any company Conversation US View all partners A good-looking young man with a mysterious past carries a loaded gun on the streets of the world’s financial capital This scene not only describes Luigi Mangione’s alleged murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in midtown New York – and the ensuing flood of media attention – but also the plot of one of Henry James’ lesser-read novels, “The Princess Casamassima.” The high-profile slaying and James’ novel help explain the public’s fascination with political violence and even more about the psychological guessing game that accompanies those extreme acts the novel leaves readers wanting to know more – both Mangione and James’ stories give clues of why a person would commit such violence Born in the U.S. before moving to Europe, James is considered one of the most skilled writers of modern literary fiction. “The Princess Casamassima,” however, is usually overshadowed by classics such as “The Portrait of a Lady” and “The Turn of the Screw.” Serialized in The Atlantic from 1885 to 1886 the novel tells the story of working-class and aristocratic leftists who are caught in various love triangles inspiring novelists on both sides of the Atlantic grows up as a bastard orphan in working-class London But when the rich and cultured Princess Casamassima befriends him Hyacinth becomes enamored of her lifestyle the princess herself begins to shed the trappings of wealth as she falls in with Hyacinth’s revolutionary organization grappling with a “strange mixture of contradictory impulses,” hesitates to abandon the finer things in life: good food beautiful experiences and fully committing himself to a ideology that would tear it all down Prominent liberals have been inspired by “Princess Casamassima,” as have famous Black leftists James’ plot seems modeled on the Russian novelist Ivan Turgenev’s political novel “Virgin Soil,” which also influenced Joseph Conrad’s “The Secret Agent.” struggle with the problem of getting inside the mind of a revolutionary Conrad and James found something captivating about political revolutionaries who were also well educated Their novels ask whether someone who finds such meaning in life and art would sacrifice themselves in pursuit of a revolution Could protagonists follow through with acts that would destroy themselves and the things they loved Yet all three novelists also refuse to narrate key moments of violence from the mind of a vacillating protagonist In “Virgin Soil,” you hear about the revolutionary action secondhand In “The Secret Agent,” the reader never sees the bomb targeting the Greenwich Observatory explode “The Princess Casamassima” follows the same pattern James narrates the “touching surprises” of Hyacinth’s moods and his “sudden inconsistencies of temper.” But he refrains from describing the scene – and what goes through Hyacinth’s head – when Hyacinth pledges his life to the revolution The reader only learns about the scene later through Hyacinth’s conversations and recollections after Hyacinth is called to kill – and I won’t spoil the ending – James describes the aftermath of that event James resists full explanations for the psychological states of secondary characters The princess never fully says why she becomes a class traitor She also attends revolutionary meetings outside the reach of Hyacinth and the narrator even describes the princess’s actions as an “immense anomaly” and “more than may be explained.” I say “strangely” because as the creator of a fictional world James could easily take a stab at explaining James’ novels often offer the cause for characters’ actions with famously detailed descriptions of their thought processes his characters will still defy explanation by behaving in unexpected ways I think the same sense of mystery can help explain the public fascination with the Mangione case. People want to understand his motivation. While the books featured on Mangione’s Goodreads page and the posts on his social media accounts can offer clues His relatively brief manifesto discusses the “abuse” and the “corruption and greed” of the health insurance industry Mangione was angry about the health care system Had there been a precipitating psychological break choose murder instead of other avenues to effect change What went through his mind while he waited for Thompson on a midtown street If Mangione never wavered on his hatred of health insurance companies did he waver over resorting to deadly violence Part of that guessing comes from a gap in our knowledge; Mangione went off the grid in the months leading up to the alleged murder Even in those rare cases when the public has all the facts it’s hard to get inside the head of someone who commits political violence And that difficulty makes it all the more intriguing It’s no coincidence that those who wrote about political violence struggled against the limits of the genre known as literary realism Harriet Beecher Stowe and George Eliot strove to capture the complex These literary realists used their fiction to examine the effect of circumstances on psychology They wanted to show how someone’s upbringing and experiences influenced their choices “Violence is the subject matter of literary forms that refuse realism.” the revolutionaries who wanted to tear down society pushed at the limits of the literary form Psychological realism requires some sympathy with a central character James addresses the problem by creating a revolutionary who resembles himself: not just a single-minded ideologue Hyacinth seems to believe in the cause of equality But as someone who also loves the world as it is who seems to wonder whether he himself could actually commit political murder And so there is a glaring gap – a mental block – when it comes to exploring his protagonist’s psyche His realist fiction could never arrive at a full understanding There are many reasons why Mangione’s alleged murder of Thompson has drawn so much attention: the way it spotlights problems with the health insurance industry the lurid details of the shooting and Mangione’s subsequent escape SYNOPSIS: Rock star Conrad Birdie is going into the Army the name of Kim MacAfee is selected from fan mail to receive "One Last Kiss." Still, none of the men in the tape have been identified The voices of those off camera remain unknown as does the precise identity of the man giving instructions on screen with the thousands of viewers over the years someone would have had to recognize something Perhaps those who know something are staying silent for a reason.  You can still buy the original VHS online Sellers on sites like eBay sometimes have copies of the film most sellers do not know any more about the film than anyone else They usually got their copy second or third hand during the time the video was circulating there are some legitimate holes in this theory Casamassima was in his forties at the time of his arrest While it’s unclear when the video was recorded if it was shot around the time it was released the boy in the video is far too young to be Casamassima Casamassima stole objects and was never known to actually take body parts from graves The man in the film discusses dealing with witnesses at one point His advice is a major indicator the video is a hoax He advises viewers to knock out any witnesses to make them believe the experience was all a dream it would take a great deal of force to knock someone unconscious there is no guarantee this would actually cause someone to forget an experience This maneuver sounds more like something out of a Hollywood film than a real life crime tactic.  Users claim the man lived in Brooklyn and ran a shop selling bootleg products such as movies and knock-off clothing. Most posters claim "Screws" has been dead for 20 years While you can’t give random internet comments too much credence it is odd that the same story keeps popping up across forums Could this theory actually hold some weight and is the video just a hoax made by a shady bootlegger?  Grave Robbing for Morons and Mortuary of the Dead remain mysteries but fictional, cooking show featuring him poisoning friends and family members Exploding Varmits was a tongue-in-cheek video about blowing up small animals released by a company that produced instructional hunting videos Mortuary of the Dead involves three men breaking into a mortuary and recording themselves examining body parts There does not appear to be a connection between this film and Grave Robbing For Morons other than the fact both were included on the tape It appears two out of the four videos may be authentic recordings of illegal activities.
