The vibe is just right — not too busy — and the service is always on point. The 2.0 system replaces the original TWS system used on Udog’s Tensione and Distanza shoes. It’s not dissimilar to Fizik’s Vento Infinito Carbon 2 shoe or Canyon’s Tempr CFR shoe except both Fizik and Canyon have opted to keep the dials to the side Sidi opts for two central dials on its Sidi Shot 2S shoes instead suggesting that this low dial improves heel retention across sizes The upper strap and side dial combination created a noticeably solid fit for my heel even if the silicone grippers on the inside of the shoe don’t make much difference to heel retention The structure is stiff and in terms of performance I felt my pedal strokes were amply rewarded and they size up slightly larger than other brands The toe area is quite square and very roomy to the point where I would consider sizing down – but since Udog doesn’t do half sizes The titanium bolts in the carbon sole allow for 5mm of fore/aft cleat adjustment tightening when rotated with a counter turn undoing the dial My main concern was the dials opening unintentionally They remained locked at all times and the incremental alterations were helpfully slight Dare I say it – they might even be better than Boa I didn’t notice pressure from the central dial as I did with the Sidi Shot 2S shoes possibly because the dial sits lower on the foot It’s a nice touch that Udog offers a crash replacement on these dials I was able to create a good fit by slotting my heel into the shoe tightening the side dial to lock my heel into place and then tightening the central dial to harness the midfoot straps You can really feel the pressure exerted by these straps as they lock in and tighten just before the ball of your foot I did experience some numbness on the offside of each foot just where the midfoot strap begins and where there is also a slight rise in the contour of the carbon plate If I kept the front dial loosened off sufficiently but I needed to be very observant of the dial’s tightness and I did end up doing a fair bit of fiddling on each ride they are on the basic and slightly thin side A little more padding here would help to mitigate the underlying stiffness of the plate the dials didn’t function well in wet weather Udog emphasises the low 10mm profile of the Micro Twist dial but this contributes to a smaller surface area and that has consequences I found it impossible to loosen or tighten the dial The supposedly grippy ridges don’t facilitate any purchase and I was stuck with one level of fit When I’m buying a pair of white shoes – and the Centos only come in white – I want to know that they are going to survive at least a few unexpected pastings from the UK’s capricious weather systems. Great as they were in many ways, Rapha’s Pro Team Lace Up shoes were let down by a material that was impossible to effectively clean The Udog Centos performed far better in that regard What Udog doesn’t emphasise is that the microfibre upper is very easy to clean with just a wet cloth and the Centos still look good after a bout of filthy dousings Udog even says that the Centos will survive a trip into the washing machine when they get really dirty Vitally Udog has included TPU reinforcements at both the toe and the heel which repel all the wheel overlap bashing I can throw at them It’s a trade-off I’m willing to make when spending over £250 on a pair of shoes the gripped walking pads aren’t replaceable and the ventilation points on the sole provide easy access for rainwater The comprehensive ventilation on the upper and tongue looks sufficient to me but Udog has decided the sole vents are necessary too The Udog Cento shoes are a well-designed and carefully constructed racing road shoe that – thanks to easy-to-clean material - is more versatile and durable than other summer leaning shoes While I didn’t find them universally comfy there were many elements of the fit system that worked really well and allowed for accurate modulation A more forgiving insole would make a significant difference They might be a little boxy for some tastes but in profile they are nice looking and should stay that way The lack of half sizes or alternate colours might put some riders off which would be a shame as Udog has created a commendable race shoe You must be logged in to post a comment To manage an existing Cyclist magazine subscription, please visit Manage your account or visit our subscription FAQ page. During sweltering turbo trainer sessions in my shed, their breathability kept my feet cool and comfortable, though the sole isn't as well ventilated as the Quoc Escapes which could be a consideration if you prioritise maximum airflow Out on the open road the shoes felt secure throughout the full range of pedalling with no heel slippage when either lifting or kicking over the top of a pedal stroke – a problematic area with some shoes I've found – thanks to both the securing dials and the gripper pad on the inside around the heel cup They were also fantastically stiff with no evidence by feel or noise of flexing even when subjected to stomping my chunky 90kg frame up the double-digit-gradient Mendip Hills The only audible noise was my own suffering but the shoes soldiered on without complaint On longer rides of six hours or more I didn't experience any hot-spots or pressure points something that troubled me terribly with my old Fizik shoes that were too narrow The Udogs really did feel as comfortable as a pair of old slippers with only a very minor adjustment needed if my feet swelled in the hottest of conditions the Udog Centos feature carbon soles that provide a fantastically stiff platform these soles deliver exceptional power transfer which I found particularly beneficial when sprinting for town sign glory against my ride companions Setting up my Look Keo cleats was straightforward, the shoes offering a good range of fore-aft adjustability, though the sole markings are minimal. For precise cleat positioning, I recommend using the Ergon TP1 Pedal Cleat Tool or similar which ensures that your cleats are positioned correctly crucial for optimal performance and injury prevention The Udog Centos feel exceptionally well made and after hours of riding and countless clipping-in and out I'm convinced they'll remain looking smart for thousands of kilometres Cleaning the Cotswold mud off the shoes was surprisingly easy restoring the pristine white finish requiring no more than a wipe with warm soapy water Udog even suggests that the shoes can be washed in a machine which not only enhance durability but also reduce the risk of corrosion and thread stripping This attention to detail seems to underscore Udog's commitment to creating a long-lasting product Positioned at the top of Udog's road shoe lineup the Centos come with a price tag to match their premium features they're a worthwhile investment if you're serious about your cycling The inclusion of a crash replacement and repair service for the original owner adds further value providing peace of mind in case of accidents or damage to the rotary dials And while they're not cheap, at £250 they seriously undercut the premium offerings of similar styled shoes from the likes of Trek (£350) and Northwave (£360) That said, they are challenged by Van Rysel with its £170 Road Cycling shoes which offer similar features with only a marginal weight penalty The Udog Cento cycling shoes are roomy and adjustable and their high build quality makes them a standout choice if you're seeking both comfort and performance and I think it's justified by their quality and the thoughtful design features that enhance the riding experience Whether you're tackling intense training sessions Their ability to perform in various conditions makes them a versatile and reliable option for cyclists of all levels Wide-fitting and well-designed premium road shoes that perform brilliantly This is primarily marketed as a road racing shoe but it would be an excellent choice for any rider on tarmac Udog says: "CENTO incorporates the innovative brand new to market UDOG's Micro Twist dial It's a unique micro-adjusting rotor provides a uniform customized fit for enhanced support and stability The ergonomic dial with soft rubber edge guarantees greater grip in any ride condition Its dial diameter is 30mm provides better handling in racing situation The Micro Twist is markable lower in profile only 10mm thickness for a more aerodynamic profile Woven laces are very flexible yet ultra-resistant." The Madonna and Child between Saints Joseph will be featured in the exhibition Guercino hosted at the Scuderie del Quirinale and dedicated to the Roman period of Giovanni Francesco Barbieri fundamental to understanding the young Guercino’s artistic formation represents one of the high points of Emilian painting To make up for its temporary absence from the Civica Pinacoteca Il Guercino in Cento a faithful replica of La Carracina was installed a Panini Cultura Group company. Thanks to digitization with gigapixel technology every detail of the painting was captured and reproduced accurately Haltadefinizione oversaw all stages of the project from scanning to the creation of the physical replica and made the ultra-high resolution image also available online for scholars and enthusiasts holds the world’s largest collection of works by Guercino and his workshop Closed for more than a decade following the 2012 earthquake it was reopened to the public last year after careful restoration promoted by the Municipality of Cento with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region is part of a project to enhance local heritage “Realizing the importance of the Carraccina within the exhibition itinerary we decided to fill this ”gap“ in an innovative way taking advantage of what is decidedly cutting-edge technology Not only do we have a faithful replica but a replica that can be touched and seen up close This opens up a panorama of possibilities for interaction with the work not only from a physical but also from an educational point of view which we will know how to exploit in the future when the original returns because the replica will remain the property of the Pinacoteca,” says Silvia Bidoli Territorial Promotion and Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Cento ensures that your system remains secure CentOS and RHEL utilize two primary package managers: Yum (Yellowdog Updater While Yum has been the default package manager in older versions (CentOS/RHEL 7 and dependencies Modified) is a package management tool that helps users install and remove software packages on CentOS and RHEL systems It manages software dependencies automatically ensuring that required libraries and dependencies are installed along with the package DNF (Dandified Yum) is the next-generation package manager introduced in CentOS 8 and RHEL 8 and improved dependency resolution compared to Yum Although Yum is still available in newer versions it is good practice to ensure that the system package repositories are up to date The update command refreshes package lists and ensures that installed software is up to date Software packages can be installed from official or third-party repositories The -y flag automatically confirms the installation without user intervention you can remove it to free up system resources To list all installed packages on the system To retrieve detailed information about a package Some software packages are grouped together for easier installation This command removes orphaned dependencies that are no longer required by installed packages To free up disk space or resolve repository issues To enable or disable a repository guests run away to +19 in the second quarter taking advantage of the many offensive errors of the Friulians (29-48) In the second half everything changes: Dell'Agnello takes the stage and leads the comeback Marangon and Ferrari make important three-pointers At the end of the third quarter Cividale is back in contact (59-62) Lamb signs the tie and the overtaking with a very heavy three-pointer while the hosts play with energy and lucidity: Redivo is perfect in the decisive moments which overturns a complicated game with heart and character: below are the report cards Lamb 8,5: overwhelming start (7 consecutive points) heavy threes and coolness from the free throw line but fundamental in the final with assists and important points Miani 6: He only plays about ten minutes but has a good defensive impact He scores a basket and fights for rebounds Mastellari 5,5: he plays only 5′ with 0/2 from the field Route 6: despite having a 0/3 from the field the Cividale captain deserves a passing grade for his 5 assists and 2/2 from the free throw line at the end Marangon 6,5: does his part in defense and scores an important three-pointer Good contribution also in rebounding (8 total) Berti 6: a few minutes on the field with reasonable efficiency Ferrari 7: always present in the decisive partials Of the Lamb 9: dominant in the third quarter He carries the team on his shoulders in the most difficult moments but he scores difficult baskets and keeps hope alive in the end Alexandrians 6+: perfect in shooting (3/3) Berdini 5,5: a lot of difficulty managing the pace losing important balls and struggling to contain Lost 5: bad day: 1/7 from the field and little impact despite the triple in the first quarter 9/16 from two and 6/6 from the free throw line but when it counts he misses a few too many shots Noble 6,5: precise and lucid in the first half email and website in this browser for the next time I comment But in the end, thanks to these guys, everything went well. We deserved a night like this and a game like this, I've been saying it for months and so it was. We are strong, Benedetto is a strong team, aware, stronger even than bad luck and injuries, and I remain convinced that if the championship had gone on we could have also made the playoffs. The group was commendable and I hope to see everyone together at least once before we break ranks, to thank them one by one. A rough, atypical team, the Cento team can count on two Americans with a great impact: if Stacy Davis is the third best scorer of the tournament with over 18 points per game, to which he adds over 6 rebounds, Gabe Devoe is a guard of notable quality, able to find the way to the basket in many ways, as already demonstrated in previous experiences in the category with Piacenza and Verona. Under the boards, there are very few alternatives available in the Emilian roster: the totem of the area is the former Forlì player Lorenzo Benvenuti (10 points and 6 assists per game), while from the bench, giving breath to the wing Nicolas Alessandrini and Matteo Graziani. Worst attack in the tournament (73,5 points per game) and in the last places for both 2-point percentages (49%, only Forlì and Rieti do worse) and assists (just 12 per game), Cento is a tough and annoying team especially in its own half of the court, where it can put defensive energy and interesting tactical solutions on the parquet. For Unieuro, as mentioned, the success would be worth a sweet fourth place, while a defeat could project the red and whites into a sixth position which would be mocking given the growth and climb seen in 2025. All that was needed was to win and victory it was for Flats Service Fortitudo Bologna, who conquered the Cento parquet with a score of 72-78 and returns to smile after three consecutive stops Not the most brilliant of appearances for Caja's team which however needed substance: in the most delicate moment of the new Artiglio-branded course and against a healthy Cento that had tried to extend its lead in the central quarters F showed character and brought home with tooth and nail two points that keep it in the mix at 34 points between direct playoffs and play-ins he is seen more in the production phase than in the direction and that is the reason why for a change he finishes with the highest minutes of the troop But the seventeen field goals he took are evidence of how important he has become for the white-blue attack at this time Battistini 5: The renunciation of Thomas and the starting five do not move the flat encephalogram of the last few weeks Freeman 7.5: He returns to raise his voice near the basket Vencato 6: A wrist problem took him out of the match prematurely Cloths 6.5: He suddenly finds himself on the field when the challenge is decided Aradori 7.5: As bad as he had been in the last two he was decisive for the victory this time (11 points in the last quarter) His consistency will be one of the main barometers for the possibility of making progress in the playoffs this time decisive with three close baskets of pure oxygen in the third quarter and this was the fundamental question for the Cento challenge but in the tense finale a few more goals would have been useful but on the other half of the court it's a night of suffering returns to see the basket when the F has already got their hands on the game Welcome 5.5: He joins the long list of those who came out suffering from the duel under the boards against Freeman Tanfoglio 5.5: More minutes would be needed to give the starters a breather Graziani 5: In a vertical collapse in the latest releases Moretti 6: Minutes of willpower in a difficult match especially since he had only played 22 minutes in total so far this season Tomorrow 5.5: A bit of a match without much luck This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks The action you just performed triggered the security solution There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase You can email the site owner to let them know you were blocked Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page Phoronix Premium allows ad-free access to the site and other features while supporting this site's continued operations The mission at Phoronix since 2004 has centered around enriching the Linux hardware experience. By winning, the results of the direct contenders Cividale and Rieti would be irrelevant, since theUnieuro would close at 48 and the other two, in the best case scenario, at 46. And in the event of a defeat in Cento? At that point we will have to keep an eye on the Friulians (in Orzinuovi) and the Sabines (in Piacenza, already relegated). A 'double' defeat of the two rivals would make us sleep soundly for the fourth place in Forlì's colours. The success of just one of the two, however, would make Forlì close in fifth place; if both Cividale and Rieti were to triumph, it would even be sixth place, given the 0-4 in direct clashes. Then watch out for Torino and Fortitudo, the last two contenders for the 'throne'. The Piedmontese, particularly strong, can finish seventh at 42 points with Verona and Effe, who is busy in Livorno. A new Emilia-Romagna derby with the Bolognese, between fourth and seventh place, can only happen in the case of a two-way finish, at 42, with the yellow and blues in the Tezenis jersey. A complicated fit in any case: basically all of them should lose with the exception of Fortitudo. The cards would obviously be reshuffled if Unieuro were to finish its regular season in fifth or sixth place (without home field advantage). In this scenario, it would draw, respectively, the sixth or fifth in the class. Therefore, in all likelihood, one between Cividale and Rieti, with a potentially more complicated path also in the continuation of the playoffs. Forlì, however, has its destiny in its own hands. A victory in Cento would really make everything easier. Brant Cox Finding good pasta in LA is no longer the chore it used to be We’ve got big-deal Italian restaurants in the Arts District red-checker table cloth spots in Hollywood and a temperature-controlled glass room in Venice dedicated to the art of making the stuff But finding a good neighborhood spot where you can saddle up to the bar It’s also why the arrival—or re-arrival—of Cento is so exciting The West Adams wine and pasta bar is where such simple pleasures occur nightly but it’s also home to more than just the usual neighborhood comforts It’s where you’ll find some of the city’s greatest pasta The pasta specialist first appeared in 2015 as a daytime-only pop-up inside a Downtown wine bar It was a place where you could show up at 12pm order $14 uni-topped spaghetti and a glass of Beaujolais at the bar chat up the eccentric chef who was busy tossing pasta on portable burners It was one of the most unique dining settings we’d ever experienced in LA and our original 9.0 review reflected our excitement Cento no longer resides in a 10-seat wine bar but the new—and much bigger—space is still warm and cohesive There are two main areas to sit (outside and the bar) and you’ll get to pick your preference when making a reservation For date night or something a bit more intimate head inside where you’ll find a rowdy communal table and a wrap-around marble bar with prime seats to the pasta-making show If making this decision dredges up every inherent anxiety within you just remember that no matter where you sit you’re going to be served the same memorable food Cento’s menu also got beefed up with the move from Downtown to West Adams There’s now a full antipasti section with standout dishes like decadent chicken liver crostino and hamachi crudo in coconut milk There’s a rotating list of big plates such as grilled orata and beef osso buco and a dessert section home to a banana pudding tiramisu that puts a sizable dent in solving world peace We recommend filling out your meal with these dishes but under no circumstance should they ever replace room—both on your table and in your stomach— for the star of the show: pasta you’ll find five to six bowls on Cento’s menu there’s an argument to be made that your party should order all of them There’s a beautiful simplicity to Cento’s pasta whether it be their famous beet spaghetti with whipped ricotta or spicy pomodoro with basil and chili and graze over several bowls at a time without ever feeling like it’s time to lie down It’s also why meals at Cento tend to stretch on longer than anticipated It’s simply what happens when you’re busy sipping wine chatting with the servers like they’re already part of your friend group and eating some of the most inventive pasta in town the menu The fish itself is soft and meaty and matches up perfectly with the sweet coconut milk and citrusy passionfruit on top Chicken Liver Crostino Topped with a sizable helping of creamy chicken liver and sticky raisin agrodolce this is easily the most substantial antipasti option but if you’re alone or hoping to concentrate more on the pastas our recommendation is to skip it until you can split it with a few other people Squid Ink Mafaldine This is Cento’s most complex pasta and one that should absolutely make it onto your table It’s briny with a little bit of sweetness from the shrimp and a whole bunch of heat from the ‘nduja and serrano You’ll be taking plenty of swigs of wine with this one Sea Urchin Spaghetti The sea urchin is another classic Cento dish but if we had to leave out a pasta from our order the pasta is cooked to al dente perfection The issue is the main components (sea urchin and the saffron noodles) are a bit separated from each other and snagging a bite with all the correct ratios is fairly difficult Banana Pudding Tiramisu We would come to Cento just to eat this dessert The tableside reveal is plenty stimulating on its own but then you bite into this the Church of San Lorenzo reveals 20 works that have long remained out of public view because they are kept in places that cannot be visited such as churches and palaces closed for restoration come from buildings that were inaccessible following the 2012 earthquake or due to ongoing renovations Among the most notable contributions is that of the City of Forli which provided five paintings from the Palazzo del Merenda closed for restoration. Two of the most significant works are the large altarpieces made by Guercino for Forlì: theAnnunciation (1648) and Saint John the Baptist (1653-1655) which testify to the artistic quality of the master’s last phase Next to these are the Madonna of the Rosary with Saints Dominic and Catherine by Benedetto Gennari and the altarpiece depicting Saints Anne and Joachim kneeling before the Eternal The latter alludes to the mystery of the Immaculate Conception and is intended Completing the Forlì nucleus is the Mystical Marriage of St a striking work by Giuseppe Maria Galeppini All of these paintings dialogue with the heritage exhibited in the Pinacoteca Civica in Cento and in the church of San Lorenzo itself Although Guercino had moved to Bologna in 1642 the paintings in the exhibition reaffirm the strength of his school Another important testimony to Guercino’s artistic training comes from the altarpiece San Lorenzo e San Pancrazio (1610) by Carlo Bononi from the church of San Lorenzo di Casumaro Also on display are lunettes by Giovanni Battista Gennari founder of the family that accompanied the master’s activity Also significant is the contribution from the Church of the Rosary in Cento which was a place of the soul for Guercino On display are five large canvases made for this church Prominent among them are the Crucifixion and the vault paintings depicting The Eternal Blessing Father as well as the canvas The Assumption (1622) famous for the perspective virtuosity of the illusionistic foreshortening “from below upward.” The exhibition also includes works from other churches in Emilia From the church of San Pietro di Cento come paintings by Matteo Loves including Madonna and Child with Saint Bernardine of Siena and Guardian Angel (1630-1640) and by Matteo Mingarini with his Saint Omobono (1661) Also to be admired from the same church are two masterpieces by Benedetto Zalone dating from around 1620: Our Lady of the Assumption with Saints Bonaventure Another valuable piece is the Madonna in Glory with Saints Catherine of Siena Francis of Paola and Gaetano Thiene (1659-1660) by Benedetto Gennari the exhibition is enriched with two large canvases by Giovan Battista Gennari Nativity of the Virgin and Visitation (both 1606) As part of the ongoing AmpereOne testing at Phoronix with the 192-core AmpereOne look at the CentOS Stream 9 performance against the current CentOS Stream 10 development state The performance gains aren't too surprising given the significant version bumps when going from RHEL9 / CentOS Stream 9 era to CentOS Stream 10 The jump to CentOS Stream 10 means going from a Linux 5.14 derived kernel to a Linux 6.11 based kernel GCC 14.2.1 rather than GCC 11.5 as the default system compiler Python 3.12 replaces Python 3.9 as the default Python version As this is my first time getting around to running CentOS Stream 10 benchmarks these comparison numbers are on their own for CentOS Stream 9 vs CentOS Stream 10 while next week will be the larger AArch64 Linux distribution comparison on this Supermicro ARS-211M-NR R13SPD server With time I'll also have some fresh CentOS Stream 10 vs 9 benchmarks on x86_64 with Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC servers Clean installs of the current CentOS Stream 9 and CentOS Stream 10 from the AmpereOne server were done for this comparison and no other changes to the system hardware/software Growth of the Cento brand in the UK is expected with the addition of John Hill Coach Sales and Williams Coaches of Brecon to sales outlets A variety of are also part of the range 22 seats is the maximum available in minicoach form and a standard-length school minibus to that capacity is expected to follow The first Cento to be sold by John Hill Coach Sales is an extended example that has gone to Johnsons Coaches of Henley-in-Arden The lengthened product range also includes a 16-seater with two tables Jonathan Vamplew first brought Romania-built Cento products to the UK He will remain involved alongside the new partners and hopes that volumes ultimately will grow to 40 units per year John Hill Coach Sales Director John Hill notes that he first saw the Cento product at Busworld Brussels in 2023 and believes that it is a quality contender Among vehicles shown then at Busworld was a 31-seat Sprinter-based model that had been significantly reworked to lift its GVW and rear axle tolerance While Mr Hill says that product is impressive Cento has good availability of base Sprinter vehicles All of its offerings in the current
