Here, we take a deep dive into every traitor’s history and rank them by their mastery of manipulation. (Note: This list does not include Britney Haynes as we have not yet seen enough of her traitor skills to judge them.) Christian de la Torre was cast for Season 1 as one of the non-celebrities on the show seeing as he came on the show just as an everyday person (Season 1’s cast featured non-famous and famous people) Despite his excitement to take on the role her struggled to make his mark as a traitor and ultimately failed when he got banished The faithfuls knew something was up with him because of his loud opinions and big voice in the house making him the worse traitor out of all three seasons Kate Chastain has made two appearances on The Traitors She came back in Season 2 as a faithful once again but she was later recruited to commit murder Kate is ranked low because she came into the game late and everyone was pretty suspicious of her from the start She did not have the best strategy and gave up towards the end leaving her to be voted out during the finale Previous BigBrother All-Stars winner Cody Calafiore (above left) was picked to be one of the traitors for the very first season but we did not expect guilt to weigh so heavily on him after every traitor-led elimination he let his emotions get in the way of his ability to be cutthroat and strategic like the game demands which eventually lead to him being banished early on Arie Luyendyk Jr. had potential for the wicked role, and he almost won the gold, but things took a turn in the last episode of Season 1. The former Bachelor star was given an important choice halfway through the game: become a traitor or continue as a faithful He made a smart choice by becoming a traitor and everyone was already confident he was a faithful he played it well and did didn’t raise suspicions He made it all the way to the finale and expected to win it all alongside a fellow traitor the other traitor guilted him into confessing causing him to lose and take home no money who called Bob out during a roundtable and made a very convincing argument as to why he was a traitor he was the first traitor eliminated in Season 3 Parvati was sneaky and almost the perfect traitor up until the faithfuls realized that her Survivor background prepped her for lots of lying This got her eliminated later on in the season but he couldn’t maintain alliances with the traitors placing him lower on the ranking than his teammates The quirky Carolyn was an unexpected traitor this season Carolyn is known for being a little weird and used that to her advantage the others would just assume it was her personality (this is also what got her to the final three in Survivor 44) until she recently got banished because of a shocking betrayal from Danielle Viewers grew close to Carolyn and wished she made it to the end The fact that it was another traitor who took her out We’ll find out if Danielle trusted the right person — and how Britney’s traitor skills evolve — in the Season 3 finale The Real Housewives of Atlanta queen Phaedra Parks was a fantastic addition to Season 2 She was set as the perfect traitor for the previous season as she had an alliance with the other housewives and connections with mutual friends as well She played the game to her strengths and did not show any sign of suspicion She would have made it all the way to the end if Dan hadn’t pointed his finger at her the night he got banished The sweet and sassy woman made a great traitor and the fans of the show agree The best traitor out of all the seasons has to go to the one and only Cirie Fields. The Survivor fan-favorite has never won Survivor in her multiple seasons of playing (fingers crossed she comes back for Season 50) but she reigned supreme as the very first winner of this iteration of The Traitors She took home all the money after tricking the final two faithfuls and no one ever put her name on the chopping block The cast declared her as a faithful and never picked up on the murders she was committing left and right She’s the only traitor to win the show to date Can Danielle join her on that list in The Traitors Season 3 finale Sign Up School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3) Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption. Host Jeff Probst has big plans for Survivor 50. The series is honoring the major milestone by crafting a cast of legendary castaways for the upcoming returning players season We don’t know which former castaways will get the call to fly to Fiji but we have some ideas Here are the castaways we hope to see on Survivor 50 I think it is quite likely we will see Carolyn in Fiji next year Yul Kwon took home the million-dollar prize in the controversial season Survivor: Cook Islands The California native was revered for his intelligence which spooked his fellow castaways when he returned for Survivor: Winners at War Fans have been eager for Yul to return after his early exit in Season 40 Survivor 50 may be his chance for redemption Viewers love Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, making her an obvious choice for Survivor 50. The Interior Designer played a masterful game on Survivor: One World, earning her the title of Sole Survivor and the adoration of fans. Like Yul, her reputation hurt her chances on Survivor: Winners at War which upset fans who were rooting for the beloved castaway Andy Rueda had a real hero’s journey on Survivor 47. His game started messy thanks to his public breakdown in Episode 1 The merge allowed Andy to break away from the Gata tribe and forge a new path in the game and crafted some of the most impressive moves of the season I would love to see Andy back in Fiji for Survivor 50 Jesse Lopez was the favorite to win Survivor 43 but his inability to make fire cost him the grand prize His loss disappointed viewers who wanted to see him crowned Sole Survivor I think he deserves another shot at the million His name always comes up in conversations about which new-era players fans want to return Genevieve Mushaluk played an excellent game on Survivor 47 despite missing out on the million which made her a huge threat and an easy target for her fellow castaways She managed to evade elimination by devising schemes that tanked other players’ games while she survived unscathed her scheming caught up with her and she was voted out at the final six Fans were excited when Jeremy Collins joined the Season 3 cast of The Traitors. like that.” But she would is one of the most devious and talented social strategists reality television has ever seen She first appeared on Survivor’s 12th season announced in the premiere that she was “scared of leaves,” then promptly developed some of the most innovative voting strategies in the show’s history: pioneering the plurality vote-off in her now-famous three-two-one vote and collaborating with the notorious Black Widow Brigade but Fields and Luyendyk made it to the final four alongside normie faithfuls Andie Vanacore and Quentin R with Vanacore and Jiles believing she was a faithful It was dastardly work and gripping television you start to question everything,” Fields told Vulture What does it feel like to win for the first time?Because of the circumstances around it and all the emotion I didn’t get to revel or enjoy it until days later Andie was so sad that I couldn’t jump up and down But a couple days later … it was excellent It was everything I had been waiting for with Survivor Take me back to the moment when you got chosen as a traitor What was your first response?Alan walked around that room at least ten times and the first two times he didn’t select me I felt like the second they asked us to remove our blindfolds everybody would see my heartbeat in my neck “So and so is a traitor.” I had to talk myself off a ledge: Just breathe Given that people already know you have strategic abilities how do you get the target off you?My plan was I wanted to be under the radar as much as possible People were looking for me to make any strategic move Brandi and Kyle were suspicious of you early on but the suspicions were mostly based on the meta-game — they were assuming the producers would want you to be a traitor How much did outside elements play into the game?Your reputation precedes you A good amount of the players — ’cause some of the people didn’t know me — had an idea of who they thought I was When we got to the castle after being selected I decided to have an ice breaker where you tell something about yourself people wouldn’t know I explained to them that I was on Survivor four times is because I’m such a loyal and honest person I remember that 3-2-1 vote on Exile Island.[Laughs.] Sort of if you’re in an alliance with me and I feel I can trust you wholeheartedly then you really can’t trust anything I say What happened after this icebreaker game? That was the first conversation out the gate and when I spoke to Brandi a couple weeks ago was telling people I would be a good traitor and I knew Kate was on the Brandi bandwagon so I tried to stay away from those people as much as possible I’m curious about the difference between the celebrities Was there a difference in the approach to the game?Absolutely I don’t really have to talk to these people we don’t know which one of them is a breakout star You ended up with two non-celebrities at the final reveal Did you think they would be easier to manipulate or that you could take them under your wing in some way?Not so much that I could take them under my wing I was looking to them for support to get further in this game Ryan’s murder was so dramatic because you told Cody you’d heard he was friends with Ryan outside the game.I’m telling you Stephenie told me that Now she’s telling me that she didn’t tell me that Because you’re good friends with him?” He had a visceral reaction I’m gonna prove to you that I don’t.” Plus “If you make her feel like she can’t trust you And Cody felt at that time that I didn’t trust him Do you think that was part of Cody’s major spiral?I think so I wanted to talk about your alliance with Rachel and Stephenie Why did you like that relationship and then why did you realize that needed to end?Numbers in these games are everything Stephenie and Rachel were a number I could count on not serving me up for banishment We had a relationship because we’d played these games before and I wanted to keep them as long as I could without putting a target on myself but if I’m a faithful and all the faithfuls believe that Rachel’s a traitor and I don’t vote for her But I kept the murder off them for as long as possible without bringing it on myself What could the faithfuls have done better? The faithfuls could have talked to each other more They were with each other whereas I was with everybody If more of the faithfuls did that with each other and she’s starting to think Cirie.I did not know that Let me tell you Stephenie’s rationale: The faithfuls decided that the traitors had to be one celebrity man Then Cody went and they all thought it was Christian but it seemed like Christian’s excitement over that process was not something you enjoyed.I was under a lot of stress and I didn’t enjoy Christian’s excitement most of the time And I definitely didn’t enjoy murdering one of my allies I see it in terms of numbers: Rachel just went What was it like working with Christian?Oh my God but he’s so full of energy and so excited to make a name for himself that I had to keep him bottled up the whole time I came back from interviews and everybody else was like “Christian has been looking for you all day what’s going on?” They could have easily connected me to him because they had already been thinking he might be a traitor Everybody’s telling me you’re looking for me Don’t do that.” Christian’s like the little brother you have to keep under control When did you decide you needed to cut him?I figured it would play out pretty much like it did Cody kind of banished himself and then Christian did the same thing I didn’t have a plan as to when I should cut myself loose from them Christian did it with that debacle saying that he was recruited I had been going through the stress by myself the entire time Why share it now when I didn’t get to share the stress I had already discussed with Quentin and Andie that if there was another banishment I knew I wouldn’t be hard pressed to get them to banish him they are even more confident that you were a faithful because you outed him You were winning but I felt bad for you.Isn’t that something we only had one more round of decisions left Did you go back to those moments when you had been hurt like in the final three of Micronesia?Oh my God I know how it feels to be Andie and Quentin and just barely lose and now I also know how it feels to be Parvati and win You got $250,000!” I was trying to get into it but I couldn’t because I was so concerned about them You came off as a little shell-shocked That’s the perfect word for it I didn’t anticipate having to say in front of them that I was a traitor you critique your Survivor gameplay by saying you always lose it at the end because you get too emotional.I do The best thing for me to do on Exile Island would be to get rid of Aras The best thing on Micronesia would be to go for Parvati I had to put all the emotions aside for this If there were another season of The Traitors who from Survivor should go on?Sandra is a shoo-in This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity Password must be at least 8 characters and contain: you’ll receive occasional updates and offers from New York One might think that on a reality competition called Traitors that players would know better what to expect the painful albeit successful first season of the Peacock series harkened back to those earlier seasons of Survivor where players would gain another’s trust only to use it against him or her which often led to devastating emotional consequences the series — unlike its counterparts in the UK or Australia — combined both veterans of the reality-competition world with newbies While the varying levels of social-game experience often led to great drama it did not make for a particularly comfortable viewing experience Despite 20 years of reality competition history a number of players on Traitors were often unable to separate the personal from the professional and the premise of the series is designed to reward cruelty which meant that the results often felt less satisfying than toxic Being assigned a traitor weighed heavily on players while being falsely accused of being a traitor often seemed to weigh just as heavily Cody (a different Cody than the one on Survivor) was chosen to be a traitor (the players do not choose; the producers do) it was clear the lying began to take a toll and he looked like he hadn’t slept in days she was at first heartbroken and then so furious she began to lash out that’s probably harder to swallow than when you are an actual liar being called one It feels like an assault on one’s character But let’s talk about that ending — the “fire of truth,” where four players are left and they have to vote to eliminate one another until they believe there are no more traitors left among them If they are right and eliminate all the traitors the remaining players split the $250,000 prize Cirie and Arie — reality show veterans — were traitors and Andie and Quentin — sweet summer children — were newbie civilians who assumed there were no more traitors left Quentin and Andie voted to end the game because they assumed Arie and Cirie were while Arie voted to end the game because he was prepared to split the winnings with Cirie Cirie could’ve ended the game there and gone home with $125,000 Arie — a former bachelor on The Bachelor a boring but nice white guy who comes from money — made one of the classier moves in reality-competition series history: He stepped aside He saw the writing on the wall and recognized that Cirie had turned on him but instead of blowing up her game and trying to save himself Rich white guys usually don’t go down so easily and I was reminded weirdly of Patrick Dempsey’s character in Sweet Home Alabama when Reese Witherspoon ditched him at the altar for Josh Lucas Good for you; now go back to your incredibly privileged life “Why did Cirie decide to eliminate him How did she know he was a traitor?” They instead thought Thank you for eliminating the traitor and assuring our win!” Cirie had spent the entire game cultivating real Andie was so thankful that Cirie had voted out Arie that the idea that Cirie could be a traitor never entered their mind until Cirie revealed herself and took all of the prize money away from Andie I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reality show contestant as legitimately wounded emotionally as Andie I spent most of the show rooting for Cirie to pull out a victory It was not Cirie’s fault that she was chosen to be a traitor and I didn’t begrudge her for playing the game so well Cirie said that — as much as she cared about Andie — she chose her own family over another player but it’s also the problem with reality competitions like these the people who are playing in them are doing so because the money itself has so much value to them Cirie is a nurse who needed the money to care for her mother and put her kids through college; Andie is a music director who needed the money because Andie and their wife were having a baby and I loved some of the players (Kate) and hated some of the others (Christian) I hated the way that the money meant so much to some players and nothing to others: It gave players like Arie the privilege of backing out with grace while others like Cirie had to sell their souls to a reality show for the opportunity to win enough money to care for their aging mothers The reality TV icon also reveals which houseguest would do best on "Survivor" The nurse and television personality opens up to PEOPLE about beating out Andie Vanacore and Quentin Jiles in the final banishment the other two people there with me were so hurt and upset I really couldn't enjoy the win while watching them be devastated." "I got that feeling later on after all the emotions kind of dwindled and I got to speak to them and I knew that everybody was okay 'Oh s--t,' I just won,'" Cirie continued It's almost shocking to get that much love." "We knew that there could potentially be three to five Traitors in the game," Cirie said of the game rules "That was explained to us from the very beginning The newly crowned winner—who also appeared on Survivor: Micronesia Villains and Survivor: Game Changers—explained why it was understandable that Andie and Quentin lost the game due to their miscalculations since "you can't even count on your fingers in that moment." "We were all so ecstatic that we made it to the end I wouldn't have even had the thought process," Cirie revealed because everybody was so high-strung with their emotion." while Cirie was more than comfortable with back-stabbing she made sure her competitors knew it was all just a game in the end "The first person I called when I got home I just wanted to touch base with Andie to let them know that our relationship had nothing to do with the game," she shared "The time we spent together connecting was us connecting we just happened to have it within this game." because I saw the devastation in them [both]," Cirie added but I never wanted to have anybody be that upset or hurt." "The Bravolebrities were kind of like Bravolebrities I thought was really cool but he was on to me But what advice does Cirie have for those hoping to move into the Scottish Highlands castle in the show's inevitable second season "For anyone that's gonna be a future Traitor best advice I can give them is read the room see who's the most trusted person in that game and align yourself with them," she shared I believe if Andie hadn't been so close with me and so trusting with me I think a lot of people backed off of me because Andie was so trusting of me." See Cirie Fields sweep the competition in The Traitors and Peacock are both part of the NBCUniversal family.) I can't figure out if this is another brilliant showcase of her gameplay or the chaotic result of playing a game that goes way longer than Survivor.  and I still go back and forth on whether or not this gameplay is deliberate strategy by Cirie or something else it's up for the reader to analyze and make their own judgment on Cirie's game because I'm still wrestling between these different explanations.  it doesn't seem like anyone has seriously identified her as a person they need to evict even in conversations regarding her alliances.  My theory behind this is that Cirie has spent weeks constantly starting conversations with others about shifting targets and talking about other people they need to get out of the game she's created a bond with several people in the house all of whom think she's the key to getting the one or two people they most want out of the game everyone ignores that she's the obvious choice for someone who must leave as soon as possible for reasons beyond her resume of past reality shows I don't know if Cirie is intentionally doing this but it's working out for her quite well.  Another theory is that the pace of Big Brother is just too damn slow for the Survivor veteran Cirie is used to a game that lasts a month and Season 25 is going to run 100 days total if she makes it to the end That means the time between eliminations is much longer and with literal days to think through her strategy is it possible that Cirie just gets a bit antsy and overplays the game?  it's not really impacting her game negatively because this Big Brother house seems to be full of people doing the exact same thing.  Cirie doesn't have to try that hard to keep the target off her back So many people in this game believe they have her as a Final Three ally at the very least mainly because all of them but Izzy Gleicher don't know that she's playing the game with her son As long as Cirie doesn't have to worry about her or Jared going up on the block she's seemingly okay with what happens on a week-to-week basis for the time being.  Whether the chaos is intentional or not, those who are watching Big Brother online or on CBS have to notice that Cirie is in a phenomenal position in this game I'd even go so far as to say that even if she lost Jared and Izzy ahead of the jury period (which will likely not happen) she'd still have plenty of allies to reach the endgame it wouldn't be as comfortable of a ride as she has right now but I like her odds of making it to the endgame.  it doesn't seem like that's close to happening but I wouldn't rule it out towards the end of the game.   Big Brother currently airs on CBS on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, but that schedule will soon change thanks to the return of the NFL. But for The Traitors US winner the prize came with a huge downside – lying to their friends to get it The following contains SPOILERS for The Traitors US The Traitors US (hosted by Alan Cumming) sees contestants head to a remote Scottish castle Christian De La Torre and Cody Calafiore) became ‘Traitors’ whose job is to ‘murder’ fellow contestants nightly whose job is to deduce who the Traitors are and banish them Unlike the UK version of the reality show, which aired on the BBC in late 2022, The Traitors US final (airing now on BBC Three and on Peacock in the US) saw a Traitor win the game that meant leaving her two closest allies Quentin Jiles and Andie Vanacore with nothing Cirie Fields is the first winner of The Traitors US “When it came down to the final reveal I was just sick,” the 52-year-old New Jersey resident tells BBC Three “I knew Andie [who uses they/them pronouns] would be devastated Cirie is known in the US for appearing on Survivor a reality show which sees contestants forming alliances in exotic locations to avoid elimination While she has experience playing games about manipulating your fellow contestants she felt the need to apologise to her fellow Traitors finalists ■ Meet the cast of The Traitors US so I told him everything that occurred during the game was genuine I didn’t make up anything about how I felt for them and I was going to give it my everything.” All I had to do was act like I’m a Faithful it surprised Cirie how few people suspected her I tried to stay away from him – I could feel this energy from him like But he simmered down and I didn’t feel in jeopardy at all.” Cirie knew she would have to get her fellow Traitors banished if she wanted the entire $250,000 “I never had to throw them under the bus because they brought that attention on themselves Cirie recruited contestant Arie Luyendyk Jr After telling Arie she was happy splitting the money with him Cirie decided in the final to try and get him banished This caused Arie to leave the reality show Cirie and Arie were the final two Traitors – until Cire tried to get Arie banished Why does Cirie think Arie revealed himself as a Traitor rather than get banished “Once Arie saw I wanted to banish again" He knew we had been together for the entire day ‘they're [Andie and Quentin] gonna agree with her in the banishment Did Arie try to throw suspicion on Cirie when he left “I’ve seen people in the comments saying once Arie told them he was recruited why didn't they automatically know there's another Traitor But it was so emotionally driven and we didn’t think of that So he tried to throw them a little bone and stabbed me a little bit Alan Cumming was on hand to give Traitors US champion Cirie Fields her $250,000 Cirie says what kept her going was what the prize money could do for her family “My mother is nearly 83 years old,” she says “She lives in this apartment I hate going to because of the stairs “I wanted to win to get this money and get a little place for her Somewhere she can go right in the backyard not have to do stairs and be more comfortable My family has always supported me and I want to give them something back.” What is her advice for future players in the upcoming The Traitors US Season 2 (which was recently announced by Peacock) so anything is a reason for you to get voted out align yourself with the most trusted person in the game Andie's trust in me made other people's suspicions wane The Traitors US is streaming now on BBC iPlayer. One follower asked, "Have you & cerrie [sic] spoken since the end of your season?" referencing Arie's falling out with Survivor alum Cirie Fields after Season 1.  Related: Why Did Deontay Wilder Quit 'The Traitors'? she won it in a dirty way in my opinion but she's [sic] has to live with that and that's all ill really say if i would have won in the end then I would have left the game with a clear conscience a lot was left on the cutting room floor during endgame." both Cirie and Arie were Traitors during the first season with Cirie being named a Traitor in the premiere and Arie being recruited later on along with two Faithfuls Quentin Jiles and Andie Vanacore were given the option to either end the game or banish another player if there were any Traitors left in the mix they would take home the prize pot and leave the remaining Faithfuls with nothing.  Andie and Quentin voted to end the game (which would have resulted in Arie and Cirie splitting the prize money) opted to confess to being a Traitor and quit the game rather than potentially vote out one of the other three contestants who he viewed as needing the money more (despite having basically voted to keep the money for himself moments before).  Related: Who Was Eliminated on 'The Traitors' Season 2 This Week? Andie and Quentin all voted to end the game rather than banish again Andie and Quentin remained salty about Cirie duping them In his Instagram post, Arie tagged all three of his fellow finalists, with Quentin reposting the story with the caption, "My guy continues to speak the truth about what yall did not see! And I thank you."  both Arie and Quentin feel that Cirie betrayed them in a "dirty" way despite the name of the game being The Traitors and Cirie executing the premise of the game perfectly Are Arie and Quentin just sore losers or is there something else that went down in Scotland that the audience didn't get to see neither Andie nor Cirie have weighed in on Arie's story.  Season 2 is just beginning to turn up the heat so it's only a matter of time before we learn who on that cast left the Traitors castle with bad blood.  Next, Everything You Need to Know About 'The Traitors' Season 2 It was both thrilling and heartbreaking to see her faithful allies fully believe in Cirie before having their hopes dashed when they realized they’d been played The two were torn up by both their loss and the methods their ally used to accomplish her win — shocked and emotionally destroyed by the realization that the person they “knew” they could trust was acting all along the final players debated that fateful move Andie and Quentin argued that Cirie over-stepped an ethical code by bringing their families’ need for money and Andie’s expenses for top surgery into the game said she did what she had to do with the card she was dealt: being named a traitor “I felt like Cirie stabbed me in the back by being a traitor,” Quentin says at one point ascribing to Cirie a moral failing over a role she had no control over He then follows up with a more coherent argument: “Ultimately in using my life to get Arie to quit in reference to my kids she stabbed me in the chest.” His moral code for what was kosher in a game of deception was different from Cirie’s and it cost him the win Things you buy through our links may earn Vox Media a commission. Alliances weren’t the only thing formed in the castle as Christian and Geraldine Moreno confirm they’re getting to know each other Christian explained: “I’ve definitely been talking to someone else through the cast good old Geraldine - it just came naturally.” Christian still can't spell Geraldine's name Geraldine added “we’re getting to know each other,” which is evident after Christian was asked to spell Geraldine’s name which he sounded out as: “Geraldean,” adding “I’m not going to live this one down.” He certainly won’t after the hilarious round table where barely any of the cast spelt Geraldine’s name correctly while trying to vote her off - “Jeryldean” was our personal favourite The 52-year-old New Jersey resident was clear from the outset - she would give the role of Traitor her all and it certainly paid off As she revealed to Andy Cohen at the reunion “I haven’t really done anything [with the money] yet I plan on getting a house for my mum so it takes a little bit of time.” When asked if she would split the money with her fellow finalists Andie and Quentin we would’ve all been able to split the money [...] if it were a million dollars it might be different but it’s $250,000 (£200,000) so I didn’t think about that.” Traitors US champion Cirie Fields won $250,000 The duo had some pretty strong feelings about Cirie winning with Quentin saying: “I was okay with you being a Traitor What I wasn’t okay with was you using my personal life to get Arie [Luyendyk Jr.] to quit - that’s where I felt like you stabbed me in the chest.” after Cirie hinted that Quentin and Andie’s personal lives would be improved by the prize money Quentin believed this caused Arie to leave - Cirie Meanwhile Andie said of the shock reveal: “They don’t show it but I was sitting on the ground for ten minutes trying to gather my thoughts before I could even look at her or talk to her and when asked what her advice would be to future contestants lifelong friends from playing some of these games - if that’s what you get out of it and you don’t win - it’s all worth it.” Andie then welled up and proceeded to hug Cirie we were all wondering why Kate Chastain wrote a list of all of the contestant’s names which made everyone think she was a Traitor when she was in fact a Faithful Kate explained that she doesn’t usually do competition reality shows and she didn’t realise that putting something in writing would make her seem suspicious there are nineteen other people here that I just met and I’m a visual learner,” Kate added Alan Cumming himself answered our prayers and confirmed that a second series of the Traitors US would be coming The Traitors is returning for a new season more backstabbing and more dazzlingly outré outfits by yours truly.” We’re counting down the days. Till then you can watch all episodes of The Traitors US including the reunion special on BBC iPlayer It took six weeks, but fans’ requests for a Traitors reunion have finally been answered. On Tuesday, Peacock released a one-hour special that brings together the entire cast of the U.S. adaptation — including winner Cirie Fields and villain Kate Chastain — for an in-depth conversation about the reality competition show’s first season Though the series itself is hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming Peacock tapped Andy Cohen to oversee the reunion a transition that’s addressed in the opening minutes as Alan offers his hooded Bravo counterpart some advice about dealing with the season’s many personalities Those personalities are on full display in The Traitors Season 1 reunion, which rehashes the moment in which Cirie bested Andie Vanacore and Quentin Jiles to win, offers more Kate-versus-Rachel Reilly shade and sees Traitors like Christian de la Torre and Cody Calafiore justify their actions As the first season of The Traitors comes to an end and Mark Blankenship discuss the highs and lows of the long-awaited reunion special Joe: I wanted to kick this off by welcoming you two as my fellow Faithful but given how poorly the Faithful played in this season of The Traitors I feared that would come across as an insult I want to get right to the heart of what I was hoping to find out with this reunion episode: specifically whether in the last nine or so months between the filming of the season and the filming of the reunion had Andie and Quentin managed to get over the fact that they got outplayed by Cirie I loved the experience of watching The Traitors but one thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the way Andie and Quentin reacted to losing the money I would have understood; even some resentment in the moment But the way they both morally shamed Cirie for carrying out her Traitor duties and winning the money for herself made me think a lot worse of them You'd think nearly a year would have brought them perspective I get that I'm coming at this from the perspective of someone who a) watches a ton of competitive reality and has had time to build up my "the game is the game no hard feelings" ethos but also b) loves Cirie Fields like a member of my own family I just think this kind of sour-grapes attitude is a terrible look on Andie and Quentin is that Cirie played dirty by bonding with them over their personal lives and then "using it" to convince them to eliminate Arie at the end and ultimately trust that Cirie wasn't a traitor so they kept her in the final three Maybe I should cut Andie and Quentin some slack on this since they haven't played reality TV competitions before bonding with strangers over personal lives IS THE GAME trying to make Cirie look like a bad person who preyed on Andie and Quentin's family situations to win the money is not only unfair but also exposes Andie and Quentin as terrible players maybe this is the Cirie fanboy in me coming out much like the Big Brother fanboy in Michael jumped out when he started ragging on Cody for things that fully happened several years ago on Big Brother instead of anything Cody did on The Traitors Where are you both on the Andie/Quentin question Claire: I don’t think this is an instance of the Cirie fanboy in you coming out way-too-long discussion about Cirie’s “backstabbing” move: “Don’t hate the player hate the game.” There’s clearly a disconnect here between the everyday people on the show and the cast members with experience on other competition series (The other reality show alums seemed to be split between these two camps as we see with Below Deck’s Kate and The Bachelor’s Arie Luyeydnk Jr. who’s Team Andie-Quentin.) I’m not sure what kind of show these newbies thought they were participating in — The Traitors is right there in the name — but it was frustrating to watch them spend 20 minutes pretending like this is a game about building meaningful connections rather than one requiring manipulation and strategy the Cirie-Quentin-Andie back-and-forth did address some of my confusion about Arie’s sudden exit in the finale It never made sense to me why Arie took himself out of the game after Cirie threw her sachet of red powder into the fire — and if he did try to give Andie and Quentin clues about the Traitor among them for helping to clarify the thought process behind the season’s most shocking moment even if it probably should have been clearer as it was playing out on screen Mark: I’m with both of you on the Andie-Quentin question because clearly they’re upset and disappointed and perhaps they feel ashamed for seeming so gullible Andie especially seemed to be operatically upset about losing which strikes me as a strategy to deflect some feelings of personal embarrassment here’s something that bothered me: Andie was mad at Cirie for using their family situation as a tool but then Andie used that exact same family situation to gain sympathy from the room “How can you use me after I told you the following personal things about me which I will now list in detail so that I can get everyone else on my side?!?!” Like Joe said Speaking of contestants without reality television experience: What did you think about Christian’s appearance in the reunion He seemed to be going for some kind of middle ground where he somberly insisted his bad acting was a strategic choice yet also came to the taping in a vest with no shirt He strikes me as one of those reality competition contestants who can’t seem genuine in a manufactured environment But it makes me appreciate someone like Cirie who has mastered that “real person in a fake situation” balance when I watch how awkward Christian always seems but Christian just seems like a wannabe to me I appreciate turning a look at a reunion as much as anybody — Kate referencing her tartan pattern from the season was a highlight Rachel's "couture" serpentine green satin sash/cape was definitely a choice I think Christian was an essential part of this cast because his foolishness actually pushed the game along and ultimately gave Cirie and Arie a window to get him eliminated which I think was a necessary big move at that stage you're so right about how this season really underlined the difference between people who know how to be reality TV stars and those who don’t How did we feel about Andy Cohen as a host I liked the little hand-off scene at the beginning between him and Alan Cumming but it did remind me how much I wished Alan would have been there to comment on events he was on site for I think Andy Cohen is a good reunion host when it's clear he's super into the show and I'm not entirely sure he was all in on The Traitors He obviously loves his Bravo homegirl Kate But I maybe wanted him to dig into the events of the show more One thing this reunion made me realize is just how much Cirie was able to take advantage of the fact that so many of the Faithful — including reality TV vets like Stephenie who should know better — were over-moralizing the idea of being a Traitor They all thought you essentially had to be a bad person to be a traitor That's a huge part of why Cirie wasn't suspected because they didn't think she would ever do anything so dastardly to them I think that's an attitude that Andy would have picked apart in a Housewives reunion loved the moment when Alan handed things over to Andy but even that mini-scene seemed to acknowledge that the Face of Bravo wasn’t the best person to oversee this reunion It’s telling that Andy relied heavily on fan-submitted questions the surest sign that he wasn’t ready to play mediator between the show’s warring factions the reunion felt more like a feel-good catch-up: Even the Andie and Cirie dispute ended with a hug and the promise of a Cirie-sponsored dinner I do wonder whether Peacock approached Alan about hosting and what the reunion would have been like if he were overseeing the proceedings Alan wasn’t around for the secret hallway negotiations or the Traitors’ discussions but he could have offered an interesting perspective on those dramatic Round Tables and Cirie’s bait-and-switch which would have gone a long way towards making this reunion more exciting you’re absolutely right about the moralizing everyone did about being a traitor that gets at the one weak spot this season It’s disingenuous for any of them to pretend like playing this game to win is somehow a character flaw The biggest groaners were the moments when people suggested they would’ve played in a manner that let people split the cash It seems like people are trying to spin their failure into some kind of success instead of being gracious about the fact that they were outmaneuvered Joe: What do we wish had gotten more attention in the reunion I was surprised we didn't get more from Kyle whose Summer House has become one of Andy Cohen's faves Kyle isn't even someone I like on Summer House but I wanted someone to give him credit for being on to Cody before anybody else was in a season where hardly anybody was right about who was or wasn't a traitor I also wanted Andy to pull back the curtain a bit on the Cirie/Stephenie/Rachel alliance from their previous show Snake in the Grass The Housewives reunions aren't super precious about behind-the-scenes stuff so I was hoping that Andy might give Kate room to further complain about pre-alliances as she did in her post-finale press appearances Mark: I would’ve liked to hear more from Ryan Lochte because he seemed to have a genuinely good time on the show and I would’ve loved to get some information on the breakfast scenes I was low-key obsessed with how Arie always ate he found time to have a little fruit or some toast and Part 2 exclusively focused on the breakfast setup I can’t get over the fact that producers offered contestants seven pieces of extremely burnt toast The Traitors is now streaming on Peacock. Join the discussion about the show in our forums On The Traitors earlier this year, Survivor legend Cirie Fields outlasted multiple Big Brother winners to get the prize it’s her turn to try her hand at their game The inaugural Traitors winner and four-time Survivor player entered the Big Brother house last night as a surprise contestant — after it was revealed that Jared That twist makes Fields the first Survivor contestant to cross over into the Big Brother universe and makes this season of Big Brother ten times more entertaining The premiere ended with Jared as one of four up for the first eviction — will Cirie stand by her son or flex her Traitors acumen and stab him in the back right away can the queen of reality-competition TV get her second crown in under a year Cirie Fields — one of the most popular contestants in SURVIVOR history who went on to compete on THE TRAITORS and CBS’s BIG BROTHER — will be playing a doctor on B&B on Wednesday The episode also features her BIG BROTHER housemate This is not Fields’s first foray into daytime; way back in 2006 not long after appearing on her first season of SURVIVOR “What made that experience so special for me is that my mother watched GUIDING LIGHT,” says Fields “I remember coming home from school at lunchtime and mother would be watching her stories She’s always been a Channel 2 [CBS] person — like She was a GUIDING LIGHT fanatic and she got to come with me and got to meet Billy [Jordan Clarke] It was so thoughtful and she had it framed So that made it beyond worth it and beyond amazing for me That’s something I’ll never forget as long as I live.” Debut Performance: In 2006 Fields and fellow SURVIVOR player Melinda Hyder appeared on GUIDING LIGHT with Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan) Fields also made this B&B appearance a family affair bringing her son and fellow BIG BROTHER contestant Jared Fields along with her — and she was glad to have him by her side when she realized on the day of taping that she’d made a grave error in her memorization strategy this is my part.’ But I immediately assumed I was playing the part of Bridget,” Ashley Jones’s role Then I get on set and we were in the green room or the very nice dressing room they had me in You have a copy of your lines?’ And she was like ‘How do you feel playing the doctor?’ And I was like ‘Wait a minute — I’m the doctor?!’ So then my God!’ Now I was nervous because I like to be super-prepared And we prepare days in advance for your upcoming surgery We have to have all our ducks in a row and that’s how I am My advice to anybody else that has the opportunity to be a guest on a soap opera clarify and make sure you know which part you’re playing [laughs] Martin,’ my son was there with me and I was like It’s A Family Affair: Fields brought son Jared to the set Though being in front of TV cameras is old hat for Fields working on a scripted show is quite different from the reality universe “It does give you different kinds of butterflies because I can easily play myself,” Fields notes And most of these shows that I’ve played on So when I’m getting ready for a scene on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL which it doesn’t when I’m just being myself.” Fortunately she had supportive colleagues at B&B to help her keep her nerves at bay I couldn’t believe how accommodating everyone was I felt so welcomed and so special and so well-received I can’t say how much they made me feel like a part of the family he took the time to talk to me and my son and we took photos You see these people on TV and you’re starstruck immediately when you see them You have this preconceived notion that stars and celebrities are going to be too busy to be human and to take the time to talk to you and be warm with you You don’t expect that type of warmth in a big studio and a big production like THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Fields was blown away by the breakneck pace of production you see how fast-paced it is and how they keep up and how it just goes from one scene to the next to the the next — it’s like a well-oiled machine and then they put it together and it just flows like a symphony on TV and you’re like these people are incredible at what they do!’ I don’t think they get enough credit The Doctors Are In: Fields played a physician alongside Tanner Novlan’s Finn and Ashley Jones’s Bridget Also not so easy is what Fields has accomplished by conquering three disparate reality shows “The only thing I think that is transferable [as a skill she brings as a contestant] is that every one of them from THE TRAITORS to SURVIVOR to BIG BROTHER they all have a social aspect,” she observes “That’s a huge percentage of the requirement of the game SURVIVOR is a little more physical than BIG BROTHER; physicality maybe 30 percent of [SURVIVOR] and the social aspect of the game is 70 percent the same ratio as strategic; the strategic aspect of BIG BROTHER is way more involved than the physical aspect they’re going to target you in all of these games So I think the common denominator is that you have to be strong socially.” She thinks she’s done so well in the reality sphere “because I’m a caregiver at heart I’m a registered nurse by trade and I think that whatever that is in me that always wanted me to be a registered nurse and take care of people I think that is the energy that people connect with — people like strangers when I go to dinner or people at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx or Target who come up to me and talk to me — and this was prior to any reality TV ‘You’re like a magnet for people.’ I think that’s just because I give off that caring energy socioeconomic status — I am attracted to people and I want to help people I think that makes me good in these games; I think people can feel that energy.” That said if she was to play a longer-term character on B&B or another soap she wouldn’t necessarily cast herself as a caregiver she’d love to play “the sister that’s the black sheep in the family I feel like that would emulate my real life!” Fields sees some similarities between soap fans and reality fans She had watched it long before I even came along I’d get home from school and I knew when I had to be quiet because she was paying attention to [her soaps] I know Victor Newman [Eric Braeden’s iconic Y&R character] I know the names of the all the major players because they have a cult following When I watch SURVIVOR and I get to know a character now I’m attached to that character and I want to follow their journey You follow the juorney of those characters and you get involved in their life— who’s marrying who It’s almost like they become a part of your family the characters on soaps and the people on reality TV.” Soap Opera Digest has affiliate partnerships so we may receive compensation for some links to products and services.Copyright © 2025 Odyssey Magazine Publishing Group Inc By clicking Sign In, you agree to our Terms and Conditions and that you have read our Privacy Policy
