Hansi Flick’s possible XI for Tuesday’s big game
Barcelona will look to book a spot in the Champions League Final for the first time in a decade as they travel to Italy to face Inter Milan in the second leg of their semi-final tie
The first leg was a wild contest that ended in a 3-3 draw in the Catalan capital and left everything to be decided at San Siro
and the atmosphere there should be all kinds of crazy as the two sides fight for a spot in the title match
Here’s how we think Hansi Flick will line up his troops for Tuesday’s battle
Flick made nine changes to his starting lineup and got all three points against Real Valladolid at the weekend
resting several of his key stars to have them as close to fresh as possible for what could be a 120-minute war
There are major questions surrounding the defense with Jules Kounde ruled out through injury and Alejandro Balde’s status still uncertain as of this writing
so we think Flick will stick with the back four that played most of the second half last week with Eric García at right-back
Ronald Araujo and Pau Cubarsí in the middle
If there are many doubts surrounding the defense
there are no such questions regarding the midfield trio: Frenkie de Jong and Pedri each rested for 45 minutes at the weekend and should be fresh to go the distance in this one
and Dani Olmo also played very little against Valladolid to make sure he’s at his best for this one
Fermín López and Gavi can provide much-needed energy in the second half and/or extra-time
Lamine Yamal played just a little over 50 minutes and Raphinha only played in the second half at the weekend while Ferran Torres was rested for the entire game against Valladolid
so Flick can count on his front three to be pretty fresh and ready to be decisive in Italy and lead Barça to Munich
Robert Lewandowski could have minutes in the second half
but the Pole is unlikely to start even if he makes the squad
How do you think Barcelona should line up against Inter

Lewandowski, 36, has missed Barça's last four games with the problem, including the Copa del Rey final win against Real Madrid and the first leg against Inter
The Poland striker

Robert Lewandowski has been named in Barcelona's squad to face Inter on Tuesday. Alex Caparros/Getty ImagesHowever, left-back Alejandro Balde has not recovered in time and will not feature against Inter
The defender injured his hamstring on April 12 and there was initially hope he would return for the tie against the Serie A champions, but he will now focus on being ready for Sunday's LaLiga Clásico against Real Madrid instead
Barça coach Hansi Flick said Lewandowski would start the game on the bench
"Everything goes in the right way," Flick said in a news conference regarding Lewandowski's fitness
Flick also called on his players to go out an enjoy the occasion against Inter, reminding people that no one expected Barça to be in this position at the start of the season, fighting for a treble, and echoing comments from midfielder Dani Olmo that the atmosphere in the dressing room is "like a party."
"Do you think I have to make pressure on [the players]?" Flick added
no one had any idea what we achieved until now
Now we win two titles already [the Spanish Supercopa and the Copa del Rey]
"Now we have important weeks, important matches to win two more [LaLiga and the Champions League]
Barça are aware of the challenge that awaits them against Inter
They trailed 2-0 and 3-2 at home last week and struggled to deal with the threat of Simone Inzaghi's side from set plays
"The set pieces we have to defend much better," Flick said
Barça will also be without their right sided full-back in Italy, with Jules Koundé absent with a hamstring issue picked up in last week's first leg against Inter
Last week's first leg ended in a 3-3 draw at the Olympic Stadium, leaving everything to play for when the teams meet again on Tuesday for a place in the final against either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal in Munich on May 31

Lautaro Martinez’s fitness has been the hottest topic heading into the second leg clash between Barcelona and Inter Milan
The Argentine international picked up an injury in the first half and couldn’t continue beyond the first half. Subsequent reports suggested he could be ruled out of the second leg clash on May 6
Lautaro’s absence could be a real blow for Inter Milan
as the forward is the club’s main goalscorer
In a recent interview, former Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez has already highlighted the important role Lautaro could play in this crunch fixture
Inter Milan are not ready to lose hope over the forward’s availability against Barcelona
According to Gazzetta dello Sport
are very optimistic about the Argentine’s fitness and believe he can make it in time for the second leg clash at San Siro
knowing his presence could go a long way in boosting Inter Milan’s chances of being in the final
The report adds that Lautaro did some individual work in the gym and tomorrow
he will return to group training – the final session before the clash
These are encouraging signs for Inter Milan and tomorrow
could prove to be an important day for the Argentine international
A lot may depend on the final report and how Martinez fares in the final session
which will determine whether or not he is fit to play against Barcelona
must prepare for the worst and expect Lautaro to be in the Inter Milan squad

Barcelona and Inter Milan delivered a six-goal thriller in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal
and now head to Italy with promises of more
The 3-3 draw in Spain saw a goal in the first minute and action from front-to-back that included a tour de force performance from Barca teen phenom Lamine Yamal
That leg happened without Robert Lewandowski but with a home crowd
and Inter Milan will fancy their chances of using the Italian atmosphere as a boost into a second Champions league final in three years
Only six teams have won four-or-more European Cups
and Inter would love to become the seventh
meanwhile want to become just the third team to claim six

It was a heavily-changed Inter that beat Verona 1-0 on Saturday at the San Siro
They are without Valentin Carboni and almost certainly set to miss Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard
Barca rotated heavily at Valladolid and went down early
needing some of its stars to come off the bench and deliver all three points
Robert Lewandowski looks set to return but Jules Kounde
Of course anything could happen and San Siro will be a cauldron
but Lewandowski’s return really feels like a tipping point

The 3-3 tie in the first leg left everything on the line for the Italian game
and the environment only adds to the stakes
All indications point to yet another humongous game to unfold
Barcelona and Inter Milan meet this Tuesday in San Siro with a common goal: reaching the Champions League final
Barcelona are seeking to return to a Champions League final almost a decade later
the Catalan giants have been piling up disappointments in the competition
they get their chance to rewrite that script
They've already won the Copa del Rey and they're leading LaLiga
But it's the Champions League that could make the season something special with a treble
The twist is that there is no magic trinity this season
What they have in their place is an even squad
talent spread around and an ensemble which has learned how to endure
Barcelona struggled twice to turn around and for a 3-3 tie with all
the Polish striker is the team's leading scorer this season
And he might be exactly what was missing in the first leg: a finisher for decisive moments
On the other side, Inter wants to repeat the path to the final
The loss to Guardiola's Manchester City still hurts
even without the same media fanfare as the opponent
And they have enough class to meet on equal terms
The Argentine got injured with a thigh strain and won't probably return in time
Inter lacks a crucial piece for the selection
It will be the coach's job to compensate
This will be the 18th meeting in a major European competition between Inter and Barcelona
Inter are the only three pairings that have been played more than this many times
Each of their last two meetings against one another was 3-3
in the October 2022 Champions League match and in the first leg of this semifinal
Barcelona have won just one of their six away games in the UEFA Champions League against Inter (three draws and two losses)
Barcelona have won just five of their 24 away games in Italy (21%)
the lowest win rate among all the non-Spanish nations they've played in the competition
And they know how to take advantage of the surroundings
and maturity to be able to handle the game
Especially after having conceded three goals at home
and the midfield must perform better in defense
But Barcelona heads into the second leg with the Champions League's top-scoring attack: 40 goals to date
It's the most by a side in a campaign since Bayern Munich in 2019/20 (43)
Only Barcelona themselves in 1999/2000 (45)
and Liverpool in 2017/18 have previously scored more than 40 goals in a season

Yamal starred as Barça came from behind to draw 3-3 in the first leg of their semifinal at the Olympic Stadium last Wednesday
leaving everything to play for when the two teams meet again at San Siro in Milan this week
"We need to keep him away from the ball, but it's impossible," Inzaghi told a news conference when asked if he has come up with a plan to stop the Spain international
"Whether that is a double marking job or one player following him closely
we will try to always pay attention to him
What impressed me was his speed of thought
Lamine Yamal scored for Barcelona in the first leg. Michael Regan - UEFA/UEFA via Getty ImagesInter defender Alessandro Bastoni is one of the players who may be tasked with stopping Yamal. He first faced the teenager with Italy at last summer's European Championship
and he has been impressed by his improvement since then
"I think so," Bastoni told Sky Sport when asked if Yamal is the best player he's ever come up against
"I had faced him at the Euros and he wasn't quite at this level yet
I was impressed by how much he has improved
"I've played against many top players and in terms of age and that ability to create something
They have home advantage in the second leg and recovered from three defeats in a row to show they can match the LaLiga leaders in Barcelona last week
we have had a taste of that first-hand in the first leg," Inzaghi added
"But I hope to see a great Inter against Barcelona
The group believes in their ability to win this game and can't wait for it
It's almost a final and we get to play it in front of our fans."
Pavard has missed the last two games with an ankle issue
while Martínez went off at half-time in last week's draw with Barça
"Pavard did part of the session [on Sunday] and the feelings were good," Inzaghi said
so we will see how he is and see what decision we make tomorrow
But it will be difficult for a player to help us for 25 minutes if they're not ready to start the match."

In addition to clothing design, Milan is a world centre of design in general. A number of small, high-quality businesses specialize in furniture design, graphic design, and other areas. The design industry remains central to the Besana in Brianza area north of the city.
The city, as the principal centre of exchange in Italy, used to host the annual International Sample Trade Fair (Fiera Campionaria de Milano), which ranked as one of the major trade exhibitions in Europe. This fair later branched out into a series of specialized trade fairs that run throughout the year, including events devoted to fashion in the spring and autumn
and a massive electronics and new media fair known as SMAU
Milan has a high rate of private car ownership
which has created traffic and parking problems
as well as enormous increases in pollution
Local government officials have occasionally been forced to ban all private traffic in order to decrease smog levels

After World War II, the city was governed mainly by the Christian Democratic Party (later called the Italian Popular Party) and, from the late 1960s onward, by the Italian Socialist Party in various alliances with other leftist and centrist parties
In the 1990s the centre-right took power—a political shift due partly to the loss of Milan’s working-class base
the region also experienced a long period of centre-left government
followed by a tendency toward the centre-right in the 1990s

Inter Milan will host Barcelona at the San Siro Stadium on May 6
There is all to play for in a spot in the finals of the UEFA Champions League
we take a look at the best Champions League betting tips and predictions for the much-anticipated match
The semi-finals first leg between the Spanish and Italian sides was a high-scoring fixture
making a tally of 6 goals at the Montjuic stadium
Although Inter Milan’s treble hopes were squandered by their arch rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia
combined with recent defeats that saw them slip to the second position
they will give their all to clinch the coveted Champions League
With the competition’s best defence matching up against the competition’s best attack
here are what we think of as the best bets for the game
Bet 1: Total goals: Under 3.5 goals @ -118 (as per Fanduel.)
and so are the odds for the total number of goals in the next fixture
Barcelona having two of the highest goal scorers of the Champions League season
with Inter also having large firepower in attack
goalscoring is one of the primary lookouts in the fixture
Bet 2: Inter Over 1.5 @ +100 (as per BetMGM)
missing out on a large portion of the first leg and being a doubt for the next
Inter Milan have shown that with players like Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries
they are quite capable of pulling off goals against the run of play
An expected front two of Mehdi Taremi and Marcus Thuram
paired with a creative vision of Hakan Calhanoglu
Inter Milan are not just all about defence
Bet 3: Robert Lewandowski to score @ +110 (as per BetMGM)
Barcelona has confirmed that Robert Lewandowski is all set to feature on the second leg of the semi-finals
and his presence helps boost the goal-scoring chances of Barcelona
Having scored 11 times in the Champions League this season
Robert Lewandowski is another bet to put his name on the scoresheet

How Milan have fared in matches without Leao in 2024-25 | OneFootballFootball Italia
In a surprise call, Rafael Leao has been left among the substitutes for Milan’s Serie A match away against Patrick Vieira’s Genoa on Monday evening. Here is a reminder of how the Rossoneri have got on without the Portugal international in the starting line-up
Leao has not been included in the starting line-up against Genoa on Monday night, and has instead been replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who will play alongside Christian Pulisic and behind Luka Jovic in the Rossoneri attack
You can follow the action as it unfolds on the Football Italia Liveblog.
MILAN, ITALY – MARCH 15: Rafael Leao of AC Milan in action during the Serie A match between AC Milan and Como 1907 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on March 15, 2025 in Milan
Initial reports suggest that this is either a tactical choice or a decision to rest Leao ahead of the Bologna match on Friday night
rather than there being any concerns surrounding Leao’s fitness
Leao has appeared as a substitute on seven previous occasions in Serie A so far in 2024-25
He has provided two goals and two assists from those seven appearances
Leao came off the bench in a 2-2 draw with Lazio
In the 2-2 draw against Lazio, Milan were 1-0 up by half-time. Milan fell 2-1 behind after two quick-fire goals in the 62nd and 66th minutes
Leao appeared in the 70th minute and scored less than two minutes later
Leao appeared in the 62nd minute against Napoli in October in an eventual 2-0 loss
but both of those goals had gone in before the Portuguese entered the fray
Leao came on in the 63rd in a 1-0 loss against Monza in the following game
but did not have an impact in terms of goals
Tijjani Reijnders scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute

with Santiago Gimenez adding another eight minutes later

He provided the assist for Santiago Gimenez in an eventual 1-0 win
Leao appeared at the interval again in a 3-2 win over Lecce in March. The Rossoneri were 2-0 down at half-time
but fought back with three second-half goals
Leao most recently appeared as a substitute in a 2-1 loss against Napoli at the end of March

Conceiçao is under contract until 2026, but the Rossoneri have an option to terminate the agreement at the end of the season

Inzaghi Cautious On Lautaro Martinez Fitness For Inter Milan Vs Barcelona Champions League Clash: ‘We’ll See Tomorrow’ | OneFootballSempreInter.Com
Simone Inzaghi is being cautious on the fitness of Lautaro Martinez for Inter Milan’s Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona
The Nerazzurri coach spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews
Inter Milan take on Barcelona in the second leg of a Champions League semifinal tie tomorrow
And the biggest fitness doubt for the Nerazzurri concerns the availability of Lautaro Martinez
The Inter captain suffered a muscle problem during the first leg
Inter breathed a sigh of relief as medical tests confirmed that Martinez had not suffered a serious muscle injury
he had sustained an “elongation” to his left thigh flexors
Reports indicate that Martinez is now back in training
And there has even been talk of the 27-year-old being ready to come straight back into the starting eleven tomorrow evening
However, the timeline is certainly tight. And Inter coach Simone Inzaghi isn’t making any promises
MILAN, ITALY – APRIL 16: Lautaro Martinez of FC Internazionale celebrates after scoring their team’s first goal during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg match between FC Internazionale Milano and FC Bayern München at San Siro on April 16
Inter coach Inzaghi addressed the fitness of Martinez and also Benjamin Pavard
“They certainly have huge motivation,” he said
“But we’ll have to evaluate how they’re doing.”
“Pavard did some work with the group in training yesterday,” Inzaghi continued
“We’ll evaluate tomorrow what the best decision to make is,” the Inter coach made clear
Then, Inzaghi said that Inter “have had a great ride” to make it to the Champions League semifinals
The Inter coach said that tomorrow’s semifinal second leg “can be a turning point for us.”
“The components that can allow us to get to an incredible final.”
“Playing in front of our fans will give us something extra,” the Nerazzurri coach then predicted

Inter coach Inzaghi then gave his thoughts on how Inter can try to stop Barcelona danger man Lamine Yamal
He said that Inter “analyzed what we could do better” after the first leg defending the teenager
“The ideal would be for us to give very few reference points to a player like that.”
“He has great quality,” Inzaghi said of Yamal
“We have to do well all together in trying to limit him.”
“Then we know that they also have a lot of other great players besides him.”
who make possession their main characteristic.”
“We’ll have to play a match that’s truly worthy of Inter.”
And the Inter coach also congratulated his brother Pippo Inzaghi on guiding Pisa to an historic promotion from Serie B

VENICE, ITALY – APRIL 27: Christian Pulisic of Milan celebrates scoring a goal with teammate Youssouf Fofana during the Serie A match between Venezia and AC Milan at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on April 27

Why Leao is not included in Milan starting line-up against Genoa
It took Inter Milan less than a minute to open the scoring with the visitors quickly exploiting the back of Barça's defense
Denzel Dumfries returned from injury and sent in a cross that Marcus Thuram beautifully flicked with his back heel into the back of the net to put Inter in front
Barcelona looked to respond but couldn't find a way to cut open Inter's low block
Dumfries got on the end of a rebound and scored from short distance with an acrobatic finish to give the Italian side a two-goal lead
When the game—and arguably the semifinals—looked lost for the Catalans, Lamine Yamal appeared. The 17-year-old crowned his 100th appearance for Barcelona with a dazzling solo goal
dribbling past defenders and firing a shot to the far post that put Barça within one in the 24th minute
The hosts began overwhelming Inter until Pedri found Raphinha inside the box as the Brazilian headed the ball back to a charging Ferran Torres for the equalizer before halftime
Dumfries continued his stellar performance and once again scored from a corner kick to restore Inter Milan's lead in the 64th minute
Barça responded from a corner kick of their own
playing a low pass to Raphinha who fired a rocket from distance that hit the post and then rebounded off Yann Sommer into the back of the net
Despite both teams having chances during the final half-hour of the match
leaving it all to play for in the second leg at San Siro to determine who will advance to the Champions League final

Barca get fitness boost ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg
Barcelona are boosted by the return of Robert Lewandowski for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan.
Lewandowski has missed their last four games with a hamstring injury, including last week’s thrilling 3-3 first leg draw
but is fit again and has been included in the 23-man Barcelona squad that has travelled to Milan
The striker may have to settle for a place on the bench, as Barcelona boss Hansi Flick also has one eye on Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid
"We've spoke yesterday and everything is going the right way
and (Lewandowski) is good,” Flick said at his pre-match press conference
Wojciech Szczesny will continue in goal as Marc-Andre ter Stegen has not been named in the squad despite making his return to action in the 2-1 win over Real Valladolid at the weekend
First-choice full-backs Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde miss out through injury
meaning Eric Garcia and Gerard Martin are likely to deputise at right-back and left-back respectively
Frenkie de Jong and Pedri are expected to start after playing a half each at the weekend

BARCELONA, Spain -- Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries returned and so did the goals for Inter Milan
Dumfries scored two and set up the opener for Thuram as Inter drew 3-3 at Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on Wednesday
it was a difficult period for me because of the injury but now I'm back," Dumfries told broadcaster Amazon Prime
Inter had lost their previous three matches without scoring a goal -- the first time that had happened in more than 13 years. That run had seen it surrender their Serie A lead and exit the Italian Cup
Thuram had missed those three matches with a left thigh injury
Dumfries had been sidelined for even longer
missing eight matches with a hamstring problem before returning as a late substitute last weekend
The duo immediately showed Inter what it had been missing as Thuram back-heeled in a cross by Dumfries to stun Barcelona just seconds after kickoff

Dumfries then doubled Inter's lead in the 21st minute with a bicycle kick
He became the first Dutch player to both score and assist in a Champions League semifinal since Wesley Sneijder -- coincidentally also for Inter against Barcelona
Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres hauled the hosts level shortly before halftime but Dumfries notched his second in the 64th
heading home a corner kick to put Inter back ahead
However, Barcelona were quickly back level when Raphinha's blistering shot from outside the top of the box struck the crossbar and ricocheted in off the back of Yann Sommer
going down as an own goal by the Inter goalkeeper
"I think after three straight defeats we saw the real Inter

setting up a must-see sequel next week in Milan
Opta Stats said it was joint-highest highest score for a draw in a Champions League semifinals since Bayern Munich and Dynamo Kiev finished with the same score in April 1999
What was supposed to be a contrast of styles between the top-scoring Barcelona and the stingiest defense in the competition turned into a shootout
“We saw a fantastic match and we knew that semifinals are difficult
We could even have won,” Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said
“Our fans know that we’ve been giving our utmost in difficult times and we know that Tuesday will be a ‘final.’”
Except for Inter’s start and strength in set pieces
Barcelona imposed its game and had 66% possession and created 10 shots on goal to Inter’s three
according to UEFA’s stats — but had to settle for a draw
Dumfries then put Inter into what appeared to be a comfortable lead when he scored his first of two goals with a bicycle kick after a corner kick was headed onto him in the 21st
Yamal sparked Barcelona into action in the 24th when he dribbled past two defenders and sliced a shot in off the far post
He went close to an equalizer moments later after gliding down the endline and firing a shot with just a sliver off an angle off the crossbar
in the big matches you can see his quality
and he showed it today,” Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said about his forward
“I knew that this was a semifinal between great clubs and I knew that the huge experience they have was being demonstrated
His goal to make it 2-1 was so important.”
Ferran Torres rammed in a headed pass by Raphinha to equalize for Barcelona in the 38th
Raphinha needed two minutes to pull Barcelona level again when his blistering shot from outside the top of the box struck the crossbar
ricocheted off the back of goalkeeper Yann Sommer and found the net
we had the obligation to win,” Raphinha said
“But the result is not that bad and we will prepare for the second game so we come out on top.”

Milan to Scout Brentford-Linked Genoa Midfielder | OneFootballThe Cult of Calcio
Milan will take a close look at Morten Frendrup during Monday’s game. The Rossoneri have been keen in the past already, but Genoa always shut the door at his departure

He has starred in 123 games with the Rossoblù since transferring from Brondby in January 2022
This type of thing is where not having sorted out their management hurts. Any target and pursuit is moot until they do. The uncertainty about their bench also slows down their transfer market plans. He’s likely to leave in the summer, as Genoa don’t have other assets to foot their summer
unless their new owner completely shifts their MO
allowing them to keep all their core players
The Rossoneri don’t need too much depth without the Champions League and already made a decent investment in the position in January

The stakes have not been higher for Barcelona in a long time now as they are heading into Tuesday night’s clash in Milan
the Catalans are 90 minutes away from sealing a place in the final of the UEFA Champions League and redemption seems to be just around the corner
so are Inter Milan and the Italians will have the home advantage in the all-important second leg
What’s more, is that they will have both Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard fit while Barcelona will once again be without Alejandro Balde
Several factors will influence the result tomorrow night
but Barcelona have control over the most important one – the football played on the field
There is no denying that the Catalans are the better team heading into the game
and they will hope it is enough to get over the line and seal a place in the elusive UCL finale
Barça Universal brings you three talking points ahead of Inter Milan vs Barcelona
Barcelona’s situation on the full-back front is far from ideal heading into the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan tomorrow night
Alejandro Balde missed the first leg through an injury and was always expected to make it back in time to face the Italian giants for the reverse fixture
has not quite gone to plan and the youngster is still a few days away from returning to complete fitness
Barcelona will thus be without their star left-back once more
Jules Kounde left the field injured in the first leg with a niggle and is also unavailable for the reverse leg
leaving Barcelona without both of their top full-backs ahead of the game
It is a massive blow to Barcelona’s attacking chances against Inter
and covering the gaping holes will be a massive task for Hansi Flick
Eric Garcia and Gerard Martin may start at right and left-back respectively
but it is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal ahead of the most important game of the season
The one metric that matches Barcelona and the Nerrazzuri after the first 90 minutes at Montjuic is the scoreline
does not do justice to the game that unfolded adequately for there was a stark difference between Barcelona and Inter Milan in terms of the quality and quantity of chances created
Flick’s men were superior with their chance creation
and created significantly higher xG on the night
buried every chance that came their way and scored low-probability goals against all odds
they earned the ticket back home with a favourable draw to take back with them
At the semifinal level of the UEFA Champions League
will undoubtedly open up the hosts’ backline on occasions tomorrow
but all that will matter will be their clinical finishing
taking their chances will hold the key to the victory
that Barcelona last took to the field in the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League
they walked in with their heads held high defending a 3-0 lead
and took to the field at Anfield for a night that would go down in history as one of their greatest embarrassments
There are several parallels between that season and the current one for Barcelona
right from the team once again being at the cusp of a treble to them staring a place in the final in the eye
the Catalans must look to avenge the defeat they suffered years ago in this stage of the competition
for a place in the final of the UCL is only a whisker away
The team now is starkly different to the one that started at Anfield
Barcelona are no longer the fragile wreck that they were at the time
A win tomorrow will be a statement that Barcelona have extinguished the ghosts of the past
They will be wearing a very similar jersey colour to the one they lost to Liverpool
but the goal will be to celebrate after the 90 minutes at San Siro and rewrite history

Barcelona get set to play perhaps their most important match of the season so far
when they take on Inter Milan in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals
The Blaugrana played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg at home
pulling off a fine comeback after having gone two goals behind early in the game
Barcelona are hoping to make it to the finals of the competition for the first time in a decade but it will be anything but easy against a tough Inter side in their home
Barça head coach Hansi Flick spoke to the media in his pre-match press conference
shedding light on the team’s preparation for the huge encounter
“Should I put more pressure on the players
nobody knew at the start of the season how we would be now,” said Flick
discussing the atmosphere in the dressing room
“We want to enjoy ourselves and at the moment that’s the way it is
I’m sure that’s what Olmo means by ‘fiesta,’“ he added
Denzel Dumfries was the biggest threat for Barcelona in the first leg
scoring two goals and posing a threat from the right flank as well as in set-piece situations
On how the Catalans plan to deal with him tomorrow
we have to defend much better and there might be some changes
On any particular player from Inter Milan that he sees as a major threat
he added: “I don’t focus on any specific player
they are very effective and very experienced,” he further stated
Robert Lewandowski earned his medical clearance earlier today and has been named in the Barcelona squad for the trip to Milan
Providing an update on the veteran striker’s condition
“Lewandowski is feeling good and can be available on the bench if we need him.”
On the performances of Lamine Yamal
the 60-year-old tactician added: “I’ve been here for eight months now
I want the players to be at the highest level.”
When asked if not having enough experienced players in the squad could be a problem for the semi-final
every player improves when they play this type of match
you have to enjoy the semi-final and show your teammates how good you are
Discussing the absence of key defenders Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde and how Barcelona can make up for it
the absences of Kounde and Balde are important
On if he had any motivational messages or videos for players leading up to the game
I think we are playing very well and we have to show it.”
Talking about the match and how the managers can impact it from the touchline
“Football is very complex and you have to take many factors into account
I hope we make better changes than Inter can make
They have fantastic players up front and we will also have to stop their build-up phase
The players have to show how good they are
Barcelona were particularly vulnerable while defending corners in the first leg
And whether one of the strategies to avoid such a situation was to ensure they do not concede corners
we have talked about it and the players know what they have to do.”

we know what we have to change and do better for the future."

and it’s important to see him play a match."

AC Milan come into Matchday 35 still chasing a European spot. It hasn’t been the smoothest season, but there’s still something to play for. Every game counts now—and that includes this one.
Christian Pulisic has been one of Milan’s most consistent players all season. With 10 goals and 8 assists, the U.S. star continues to be a bright spot in Milan’s attack. He’s expected to start again, leading a front line that includes Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham.
Genoa, on the other hand, are sitting mid-table with 39 points. They’re not in danger of relegation, but also out of reach of the top seven. That makes them a bit unpredictable—and dangerous. They’ve held Milan to two draws in their last two meetings, including a 3–3 shootout and a 0–0 draw.
Genoa: Leali; Norton-Cuffy, De Winter, Vasquez, Martin; Frendrup, Masini, Thorsby; Messias, Pinamonti, Vitinha
AC Milan: Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Jimenez, Fofana, Reijnders, Hernandez; Pulisic, Abraham, Leao
This is the kind of late-season match that can turn a season around—or put it to rest. Milan need the win. Genoa would love to play spoiler. And for fans, it’s a great excuse to stream a high-stakes match with some serious talent on the field.
