NUMIA TRUE MILAN-VAKIFBANK ISTANBUL 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18) Atalanta moved a step closer to Champions League qualification on Sunday with a commanding 4-0 away victory over Monza, a result that also confirmed the home side’s relegation from Serie A. Charles De Ketelaere ended his goal drought with a first-half brace scoring his first league goals since before Christmas to give Atalanta control of the match Ademola Lookman and Marco Brescianini future remains uncertain both with regard to securing a Champions League spot and retaining the services of interim coach Igor Tudor — prepare to face off in a key clash against Bologna on Sunday night which will be played away at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara as Juventus sit just one point ahead of the Emilian side in fourth place and only two ahead of sixth and seventh place Roma and Lazio Tudor also spoke about the club’s injury woes a problem he certainly inherited from the Thiago Motta era with Pierre Kalulu and Renato Veiga being the only two senior options at centre back ahead of Sunday night’s game After asserting that “the squad are motivated and ready to face an important match like tomorrow’s match against Bologna,” Tudor provided an update on the injury list and potential remedies for it he’s working hard and tomorrow he’ll be able to give the team a hand,” Tudor said but I’m sure that those who will play will do well Tudor also noted that the club’s injury problems last weekend “No injured players will be returning for the match against the Emilian side,” Tudor said I had hoped to at least call him up to the squad but whoever plays in his place will be up to the challenge and will be important for us Yildiz will watch the game from the stands to be close to his teammates.” he also asserted that “everyone will have to make their contribution in these final four games Everyone will have to think only of the good of the team.” Tudor also spoke about their tactics going into the game emphasizing that his team must be physical to compete with the ‘athletically strong’ Bologna “Bologna have a solid base that has been built up over the years and they have a free flowing approach,” Tudor said they are a team that run a lot and are athletically strong Bologna’s characteristics are those of an extremely physical team difficult to face because they never give up and in modern football physicality cancels out so much quality Only then can our quality be used to make the difference.” as the season enters its final stages and becomes increasingly defined by points Tudor asserted that “you cannot play for a draw In my career I have never The victory sealed Monza’s relegation to Serie B, confirming they will not feature in Serie A next season. The Super Eagles winger had previously failed to find the net in league outings against Inter Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Bologna, AC Milan, and Lecce. Sunday’s goal marked his 19th of the season across all competitions, a testament to his attacking influence for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side. Atalanta took a step towards Champions League qualification with Sunday’s 4-0 win at Monza whose long-expected relegation from Serie A was confirmed with the convincing defeat. Charles De Ketelaere netted his first league goals since before Christmas in the first half as third-placed Atalanta moved six points ahead of Juventus, who sit fifth ahead of their key clash at Bologna later on Sunday. Ademola Lookman and Marco Brescianini completed the rout with well-taken strikes after the break. With three matches remaining Atalanta are not sure of a spot in Europe’s elite club competition with fellow top-four hopefuls Roma visiting Bergamo next weekend. Sunday’s match was played after the killing of an Atalanta fan in a fight with a group of Inter Milan supporters in Bergamo late on Saturday night. Riccardo Claris was stabbed to death near Atalanta’s Gewiss Stadium, and his fellow fans paid tribute to the 26-year-old with a banner which read “Claris everywhere with us”. Monza will play in Serie B next season, ending a three-season run in the top flight for the team owned by the Berlusconi family. Alessandro Nesta’s side are 12 points behind Lecce, who sit just above the drop zone and lost to league leaders Napoli on Saturday. Roma, in seventh and unbeaten in 18 league matches, could take fourth place from Lazio if they overcome Fiorentina ahead of Juve’s clash at Bologna. Claudio Ranieri’s Roma are three points behind Lazio—who won 1-0 at lowly Empoli earlier—and with a superior head-to-head record over their local rivals. Lazio sit a point ahead of Juve in the final Champions League position thanks to Boulaye Dia’s goal just seconds after kick-off in a match which finished with both teams down to 10 men. Sixth-placed Bologna are a further point behind Lazio, who will be replaced in fourth by the end of the day. However, Lazio host Juve next weekend in another match which could decide who out of six teams will take the two remaining Champions League spots. Napoli and Inter Milan are well clear of the chasing pack and battling it out for the league title. Your email address will not be published. However whereas the Factor VAM is a cutting‑edge flagship the Monza democratizes that race‑winning tech every day racers can tap into elite performance without breaking the bank The Monza is a new road machine from Factor Bikes’ team Its ethos is race-ready attainability with real-world advantages for real riders Factor has primarily reached the elite racer They are hoping to change that with the addition of the new Monza.  such as “future-proofing” with allowances for wider tires and easier compatibility with new components and other accessory capabilities to the frame it creates a bike that serves as a companion to the real-world racer without the burden of World Tour pricing and the risk of superlight weight frame breakage.  the Monza carries forward Factor’s racing DNA but in a leaner It features the same aero-optimized front end as seen on the top-tier Factor builds, characterized by converging head-tube contours and tube profiles optimized for aerodynamics the Monza swaps the VAM’s one‑piece fork/frame union for a planar break simplifying manufacturing and cutting costs without sacrificing drag savings Factor took to getting the most gains from the already fast VAM and morphing them into a machine that balances performance and practicality.  Monza borrows the Ostro’s head‑tube angle A mild +10 mm stack height tweak opens the cockpit for more riders letting you lift your bars a bit without losing that race‑bike feel It’s the same nimble ride that conquers breakaways and icy mountain passes Compared to the Ostro VAM’s race-focused geometry the Monza softens things up with a slightly shorter reach and taller stack across its size range—think “performance for more” rather than “perfect for pros.” The sizing chart shows that reach comes in a hair on the big side with the frames and you’ll trim another 5 mm off that reach thanks to the new HB04 bar stem that means Monza delivers elite handling while accommodating a wider range of riders The new Factor HB04 bar-stem is a semi-aero one-piece design with molded cable ports and a universal 1-⅛ fit The new bar keeps an aero shape but shortens the reach to 75mm making it look like a pro-level piece of kit without the back pain.  The Factor Monza comes in three different build options Build options include Shimano Ultegra Di2 or SRAM Force so look for a full review with real-world weights coming soon Monza could be the sweet spot if you’re looking for a proper race bike that trains Monday and still functions on your daily group ride It’s Factor’s vision of performance with purpose: elite aero and handling That’s why we’re saying “yes” Factorbikes.com Jordan Villella is the Racing Tech Editor for BikeRumor.com He has written about bicycles and bike culture for over fifteen years with no signs of stopping Jordan raced professionally and wrote for MTBR and the now-defunct Dirt Rag Magazine He’s covered the World Championships and everything in between — where he loves to report what people are riding Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Jordan coaches cyclists of all abilities with Cycle-Smart; you can find him racing bikes around North America and adventuring with his family For an inside look at his review rides follow him on Strava Δdocument.getElementById( "ak_js_1" ).setAttribute( "value" Δdocument.getElementById( "ak_js_2" ).setAttribute( "value" This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. This is an issue because the 58s come specced with a 120mm stem which is 10mm longer than the norm for just about every 58 on the market. Worth also pointing out the geometry is not all that different from a Soloist or Aeroad, with about ~590mm stack and 401mm reach so the implication of a taller head tube does not compensate for the longer stem. You can spec it however you want if you go through a dealer. If considering the integrated bar/stem, it’s useful to know the bar’s reach, too. They can vary pretty widely. To my eye, this one looks pretty short. Its 75mm with a 115mm drop and 8 deg flair, sorta like the Canyon one on the Aeroad The geometry table is missing the effective top tube length. Bit of confusion regarding the bottom bracket. Factor Bikes has built a reputation on engineering, designing, and developing the fastest, most advanced bikes in the world. Laser-focused on the needs of the racer, most of the bikes we’ve released over the last decade have been earmarked for WorldTour athletes, Olympic track racers, Kona-level triathletes, and Unbound winners. With the Factor MONZA we’ve created a bike intended for serious racers like us. When designing the MONZA, two features were non-negotiable: the bike would have to handle like an elite WorldTour bike, and it would have to have a stiffness level comparable to the Factor OSTRO VAM. Aerodynamics would of course also figure, as would an optimum weight and overall durability. For anyone who regularly needs to tackle terrible city street road conditions, the MONZA offers capacity for 34 mm tyres enhancing both comfort and reducing the chance of punctures. The width provides the perfect balance between aerodynamics of modern wide tyres on wide rims and real-world race adaptability. The Black Inc FORTY FIVE wheels are lightweight yet resilient, as effective climbing and descending mountains as they are cornering and sprinting in crits. This helps make the MONZA ideal for athletes who race, train, and commute all on the same bike in all types of weather conditions and every sort of road surface. The Gateway to Factor
Entering the market at a more accessible price-point, the MONZA can introduce more riders to Factor’s elite-level of engineering, craftsmanship, and racing pedigree. Though it is not intended for WorldTour competition, nothing in the design has been compromised. Rather it has been refined to provide amateur cyclists with practical features that enhance speed, performance, comfort, and functionality. CHOOSE YOUR BUILD © 2025 Factor Bikes. All rights reserved / Privacy Policy |Terms Be one of the first to try our new activity feed Factor says its Monza is designed for riders who don't have a support car tailing them every ride If there’s one thing Factor is known for, it’s a lack of compromise in its vision. The result, of course, is a price point that is largely inaccessible and products that tend to be made for professionals first. The new Factor Monza road bike might just be Factor’s first bike with compromises but I’d say that’s for the better Factor readily admits that its Ostro VAM road bike was optimized for pro riders more for the WorldTour than a local weekend racer just for folks who don’t have a support car following them as they ride along It helps that the price is lower than most other Factor bikes but Factor goes as far as to say the Monza is the “bike we’d design for ourselves” If the Monza looks a lot like the Ostro VAM The Monza definitely doesn’t share the same carbon mold or anything like that The front end shaping isn’t the toothpick slim profile of the Ostro VAM The steerer tube ditches the D-shaped steerer of the Ostro VAM for a standard 1 1/8-inch round one which Factor says should make the Monza easier to travel with The result is a wider overall frontal area but one with the same characteristic hourglass shape of the Ostro The same story goes for the seat tube and seat tube junction: similar to the Ostro The aero seat post profile is itself shared with the Gen 1 Ostro VAM but it gets the much more reliable and easily serviceable rear-mounted seat post clamp inspired by the second-generation Ostro VAM Tubes are slightly larger on the Monza to keep costs down but much of the aero-focused scalloping and tube profiles are still there Factor’s engineering director Graham Shrive claims the Monza is just 2.5 watts less aerodynamic at 45 kph (28 miles per hour) than the Ostro VAM the Monza is still ”faster than the Cervélo S5 Another surprising aero addition is the use of a downtube storage hatch shared with its Slick time-trial bike The hatch should be big enough to fit 2 tubes No word on whether it’ll fit a Taco Bell burrito Factor claims that removing a saddle bag saves about 6 watts in aero drag and moving that gear to the downtube keeps the bike fast but ensures riders have the essentials Most cyclists have to carry some sort of tools with them so tucking them away in the downtube should be a very real-world gain A downtube storage hatch – as well as a simpler carbon layup to bring the price down – means that frame weight goes up Factor says a 54 cm frame with hardware weighs in at about 1,100 grams That number is certainly heavier than most Ultegra-level race road bikes at this price point but few of them quite tout the same aero claims as the Monza and none of them have the downtube storage hatch the Monza receives a standard T47 threaded bottom bracket (rather than the T47A system of the Ostro VAM) It also gets Factor’s own version of SRAM UDH it calls UDH mini it introduces a 4.5 mm spacer between the frame and the standard UDH bolt that ensures compatibility with SRAM Transmission but keeps the chainstay narrower to ensure good heel clearance Max tire clearance is 700c x 34 mm with the ISO standard 4 mm clearance on either side Factor has developed new wheels for the Monza called the Black Inc those wheels don’t have specs that pop off the page The HB04 shape is inspired by the Black Inc Aero Barstem I’ve loved for quite some time That means it gets the same slight sweep back in the tops as well as the slight sweep outward in the drops The latter choice allows riders to have a narrower width at the tops but still have leverage and forearm clearance when in the drops the dimensions of the bars have changed slightly The 75 cm reach is shorter than before to account for the longer SRAM Red and Shimano levers over the past few years is slightly shallower to encourage riders to actually use them The bars themselves also feature molded cable entry ports to make hose routing easier and they use a standard round headset top cap as well Factor says the bars will be available in the aftermarket called the Black Inc 45 wheels (different from the Black Inc Forty Five) a traditional 3-pawl hub with stainless steel bearings Claimed weight for the Black Inc 45 wheels is 1595 grams Compare the geometry charts between the Ostro VAM and the Factor Monza and there’s one key difference you’ll find: stack height Monza reach and stack measurements here are slightly more upright than the Ostro with stack heights increasing by 10 mm across each of the six sizes Depsite the cost-cutting in some places to bring the Monza’s price point down Factor still offers the Monza with three different fork rakes on Friday as he grabbed pole position for the Sprint and in doing so became the sport’s youngest ever pole position holder in any format Anthony Davidson believes it was Mercedes’ response to the teenager’s huge crash in his first official F1 outing in FP1 at Monza last year that turned a dramatic moment into a positive for his F1 future Antonelli will line up on pole position at the Miami Autodrome on Saturday having pipped Oscar Piastri to P1 by 0.045s, his attacking approach to Turn 17 on his all-important final lap setting him up for a historic pole began long before that with the Italian signed to Mercedes’ junior driver programme when he was just 13 Dominating the junior ranks with one title after another he skipped Formula 3 after his 2023 Formula Regional European Championship victory jumping straight into Formula 2 with Prema He dovetailed his Formula 2 duties with an extension TPC [Testing of Previous Car] programme, one that Toto Wolff revealed saw him clock over 9,000km in a Mercedes F1 car His Mercedes commitments meant he also covered the team’s young driver outings in F1 2024 👉 The results of the F1 2025 championship 👉 The updated Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship standings Climbing into George Russell’s car in FP1 at Monza, all eyes were on Antonelli who blasted his way out of the pit lane to go P1 on his very first lap He was even quicker on his second lap before he lost control of the W15 through Parabolic and suffered a huge 52G crash Mercedes were quick to give the Italian a pat on the back – no condemnation they confirmed him as Lewis Hamilton’s replacement for the F1 2025 championship we are prepared to invest in his future,” said Wolff in the immediate aftermath of Antonelli’s accident they will happen and they will continue to happen next year but there will also be a lot of highlights “I think what we’ve seen was we rather have a problem with slowing him down rather than making him faster because from what we’ve seen from one and a half laps is astonishing.” Antonelli also acknowledged that instead of attacking from the very first lap of a weekend he “should have built the run a bit more progressively” That wasn’t Antonelli’s only crash last year according to former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya “The rumours of what I’ve heard,” he told the AS Colombia YouTube channel “is that he has crashed a lot in tests He has done a lot of [damage] because he wants to go too fast.” understands that Antonelli had just a single crash during his extensive 2024 Mercedes programme But fast is exactly what he was around the Miami Autodrome on Friday evening as he posted a 1:26.482 in Sprint qualifying to claim his maiden pole position former F1 driver turned Sky F1 pundit Davidson reckons even that headline-grabbing Monza crash played a role in Friday’s success “Everyone in the team was excited in Kimi’s potential and it shows the team knows what they are looking at for future drivers,” said the Briton “It was a difficult process to go through to fill the legend of Lewis Hamilton “I feel like the team are really nurturing him so you need a lot of support from the team because it showed what could happen if you were left at your own devices and the team reacted really well after that one.” Antonelli has shattered Sebastian Vettel’s previous record of the youngest pole-sitter in F1 with the German 21 at the time of his first pole It was also the first time that he’d outqualified his team-mate Russell To put it on pole position for the Sprint is a special moment in his time,” said 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button “We saw him with the incident in Monza [when he crashed] and that’s what I thought of Kimi Antonelli – unbelievably quick but on the edge “But this season he’s been completely different to that driver “That’s not what you do as a new driver His consistency has blown my mind but he’s gone ‘boom’ and given us the speed as well.” Antonelli will be looking to follow up his Sprint pole with a victory he won’t grab the record for the youngest race winner as he needed to achieve that in his first three races to beat Max Verstappen’s record What an effort from such a young driver,” added Martin Brundle “He has no experience of Miami other than on the simulator and has gone out and smashed a lap in protected him when he smashed the car to bits in Monza in That’s the sign of a young man who has previously shown to be much more mature than what his birth certificate says simply losing his head not thinking of the ramifications about what may come due to his actions down a man to try and ensure that they got the three vital points that would send them back up into the top four on a temporary basis ahead of Bologna’s matchup against Udinese on Monday night I guess that’s a “luxury” you can take when facing a Monza side that struggles to score with any sort of consistency and is basically on the cusp of being relegated to Serie B And you can thank the Yildiz red card for that These things are directly connected — not that anybody who could see how Juve were playing before and then after the Yildiz sending off wouldn’t have been able to figure that out The blessing in all of this is that Monza are just pretty terrible in attack (and in general) They finished with 83% possession in the second half yet only recorded two of their nine shots on goal Michele Di Gregorio had to make two saves despite seeing Juventus going ultra-defensive and basically daring his former club to score against his current one it never would have been necessary if Yildiz didn’t get sent off a positive response to what happened midweek against Parma with what Juve did in the first half was then totally forgotten by how everything with the young Turk went down right before halftime arrived This is just Juventus’ 2024-25 season in a nutshell — any sort of good is then totally replaced by something much much worse that potentially impacts both the current day and future ones Not exactly what you want to be doing going into a six-pointer against arguably your biggest rival for a spot in the top four (Don’t answer that because we all know the truth to it.) We soon bid farewell to Berlusconi’s second favorite child This season has been a long and arduous one for Argentine winger Nico Gonzalez Though he flourished at Fiorentina in previous seasons taking part in the UEFA Conference League final for two consecutive years his time in black and white has been less than stellar Muscular issues precluded him from many important matches both domestically and on the European stage and many of his performances in late season matches Needless to say, if anyone has something to prove in the twilight of the 2024-25 campaign, it’s Gonzalez. Which is exactly what he did against Monza this past Sunday, scoring the opening goal of an extremely important match for Juventus as they fight their way into the Champions League Gonzalez brought the ball up the pitch while staring down four members of the Monza defense and though he had practical passing options fired a screaming left-footed shot from outside the box past Stefano Turati Much like Teun Koopmieners’ goal against Lecce this goal was as much a statement of pure skill as it is one that says “I’m still here.” After the first few matches of 2025 where Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani could simply not stop scoring goals The waning days of Thiago Motta’s managerial tenure saw less and less impact from the 26-year-old from Bondy and for the first three matches under Igor Tudor the Frenchman was either benched in favor of Dusan Vlahovic or a late substitute it’s one thing for the loanee striker from Paris Saint-Germain to have a goal drought as virtually every goal scoring player has gone through that at one point or another But it’s another issue when that drought is alongside the other striker So it becomes a race to who can score first and with the Serbian’s recent injury in the match against Parma Kolo Muani was in a great position to win that hypothetical race a well-received pass from countryman Khephren Thuram found Kolo Muani facing a mildly tight angle as he took a right-footed shot inside the box Turati found himself on the ground looking at the ball making its way into the net The result was Juventus doubling a lead that would not be subject to opposition equalizers After Kenan Yildiz’s red card on the cusp of stoppage time in the first half that saw the young Turkish international sent off Monza’s mission was simple: poke holes in the now man-down Juventus and try to find a goal or two compared to the three attempts and one shot on goal from the first half Possession skewed heavily in favor of Silvio Berlusconi’s brain child but in the end nothing could help Monza find the net But it was the Portuguese powerhouse on loan from Chelsea who stepped up in this match and showed that there is some black and white DNA in his veins all while being able to claim two key passes It can be said just by looking at the defender that he can lock down the defensive half as well as he can grow a moustache There is always something to be said for quiet and passionate leaders and for the Bianconeri that leader is none other than Manuel Locatelli the Italian midfielder registered two key passes and kept his long ball accuracy to a tidy 71% And when it became time to put up a wall that no red-shirted Monza man could breach Locatelli was more than up for the challenge The Lecco-native was a tasmanian devil on the defensive side and an interception as Monza pressed their numerical advantage further and further Though Locatelli did have some blunders earlier in the season he has become one of the most consistently versatile players on this Juventus squad knowing exactly where he needs to be and the role he needs to play This match against Monza was aggressive in nature which is understandable considering the particular issues each club is facing right now Juventus know that the next few matches will make or break their qualification for next year’s Champions League campaign failure to qualify will see their transfer window hopes dashed as they will lose out on a considerable amount of money Monza is almost certainly going to be playing in Serie B next season with the only possible alternative outcome being them winning every match until the end of the season both Empoli and Venezia losing every match and then winning the relegation playoff should Lecce also win or draw zero matches until the season’s close frustrations from both sides were displayed in aggressive tackles and the eventual moment where the referee reached for his pocket a total of six yellow cards were distributed Juve’s Nicolo Savona found himself at the bad end of the referee’s pocket within a minute of his substitution onto the pitch pay them more money than most people see in a lifetime and sell shirts with their names on them to hundreds of thousands of fans and asked to play week after week at the highest level sometimes you forget that a 19-year-old is exactly that Yildiz was making a slow run up the pitch as Alessandro Bianco chased him closely Yildiz had thrown an elbow into the face of the young Italian — which warranted Yilidiz a straight red card sending him off the pitch and keeping him from playing against both Bologna and Lazio after his two-match suspension was announced Tuesday reactionary move that will end up being costly But it’s important to remember that this teenager bears the weight of the world week in and week out and this is his first ever straight red card in all seasons across the Bayern Munich and Juventus youth systems he knew from the moment the referee went to review the foul that he was in the wrong and even took to Instagram after the match to apologize for the incident Juventus continue to be on a knife’s edge as the season creeps into its final weeks and Fiorentina are all clamoring to make a place for themselves in the Champions League next season and knock La Vecchia Signora down a peg and into a lower European competition for a change Juventus themselves have four matches left two that will prove difficult against Bologna and Lazio and two that in basketball terms should be “layups” against Udinese and Venezia While the next match will not be against the same Bologna side of last year that consisted of now-Premier League players Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee it would be nice to field Juventus’ most creative and talented young attacker and with the much felt absence of defensive powerhouse Federico Gatti who stated recently that he should “start running again” on April 30 this match may prove to be one of the most difficult and important of the season All without the Starboy to bail the club out Juventus has been so up and down recently that when a win does come their way Even if it is against a squad who will be relegated come May On the pitch everyone stepped up to fill the Yildiz gap In that case it has to be given a “buono.” But the long term effects of the match are still to be seen rather through consistent point accumulation against smaller It was only a few years ago that the Juventus faithful watched Juventus lose against Monza as Angel Di Maria found himself at the wrong end of a red card Sign InJoinSerie A | Monza 0-4 today a 26-year-old Atalanta fan was stabbed to death by a 19-year-old Inter supporter during a brawl outside a bar in Bergamo The visiting fans therefore had banners in his honour and sat largely in silence See how the game unfolded on the Liveblog. De Ketelaere had his first start in over a month and promptly marked it with his first Serie A goal of 2025 as Mateo Retegui pulled back from the right the Belgian cut inside between two defenders and VAM one of the highest performance bikes on the World Tour Designed for the everyday racer it seeks to blend high performance with more practicality The desired outcome is a race bike that’s more accessible than the current WorldTour offerings but doesn’t feel like a compromise for those who still take their racing and training seriously Pure racing bikes are exclusive by their very nature Designed for the best riders in the world they are built without compromise both with regards to the technologies and materials used and the geometry and ride quality The result is a raft of super-stiff bikes with exorbitant high price tags So what have Factor done with the Monza to make it more affordable and user-friendly yet still deliver the levels of performance that riders expect from a marque that excels at making top-tier racing machines The Norfolk born brand is naturally quick to quash any idea of the Monza being a trade-off between price and quality it says it's taken the essence of the Ostro VAM the aero bike ridden by the Israel PremierTech team but refined it to impact costs but not the performance Examples of this approach can be found across the Monza all of them seemingly rooted in the notion that the many of the subtitles found on the Ostro VAM that hike the cost of manufacturing up can be altered without notice for the everyday rider While the Ostro VAM is made from a no-expense spared layup of TeXtreme Toray and Nippon Graphite Pitch-Based fibres the Monza is formed from a “strategic layup” that reduces costs but still allows it retain the correct balance of stiffness-to-weight as well as hitting the right notes with regarded to overall ride feel like the Ostro VAM it features aero-optimized tubing but adopts less complex manufacturing techniques to achieve this While the headtube is a similar shape to the Ostro VAM it's noticeably wider in profile with the greater tube thickness lessening the manufacturing complexity A planar break between the fork and the frame is used for the same reason This more robust look is featured across the frame particularly evident in the chunkier seat stays Similarly the cockpit looks to strike a balance between practicality and performance Named HB04 it is a user-friendly version of the AB01 found on the Ostro VAM it features a semi-aero design with a standard round cap and moulded cable entry ports that are cheaper to manufacture as well as making for easier routing It’s used in combination with a head tube assembly that relies on a round steerer and large 1.5” bearing that are designed to make routing and adjustments easier Perhaps nowhere is Factor’s ‘refined not compromised’ approach more apparent than in Monza's geometry fork offset and chainstay lengths as the Ostro VAM to ensure a similar responsive ride the stack height has been increased by 10mm From experience it's a small change that can make a big difference for those who are less flexible It also makes it better suited for those who need to use their race bike for training and leisure rides too This practical approach is mirrored in other areas To help future proof the Monza clearance allows for tyres up to 34mm in width There’s also a down tube storage compartment It makes sense that the build options seek to blend performance and price too In that vein the Monza is offered with Ultegra Di2 and Force AXS groupsets and Black Inc wheels and components with prices starting at £6399 / $6799 / $11499 AUD seat post and cockpit package for £3799 / $3799 / $6799AUD While we’d never suggest this constitutes a bargain it’s almost £3,000 cheaper than the Ostaro VAM package For competitive weekend warriors that’s a considerable chunk of change The Factor Monza is available in 7 sizes from 45cm to 61cm and is available in three colours Factor’s approach to the Monza is commendable WorldTour race bikes have become expensive making them impractical for everyday racers Not only is the initial cost prohibitive but repairs and maintenance are also costly The Monza doesn’t fix this entirely of course £6399 / $6799 / $11499 AUD is still a huge amount of money but it does at least offer the opportunity for more people to benefit from WorldTour tech in a package that is better suited to their needs Thank you for reading 20 articles this month* Join now for unlimited access Enjoy your Monza with a 4-0 rout: while De Ketelaere bags a first-half brace Lookman and Brescianini complete the haul in the second half of the game to take the Nerazzurri to 68 points The breakthrough came after twelve minutes: fed through by Retegui De Ketelaere danced past two Monza defenders before slotting it past Pizzignacco at the near post with a finesse left-footer The Nerazzurri skimmed the second in close succession first with Retegui (in the 17th) and then with Lookman (in the 18th) before Monza gave tit for tat with Birindelli De Ketelaere left his mark once again to embellish his 100th Serie A appearance with a brace as he prodded the ball into the bottom corner with a pinpoint finish Carnesecchi sprang into action to deny Caprari (36') and Akpa Akpro with key saves Starting the second half on the right foot Lookman scored Atalanta's third of the evening with a composed finish in the mano-a-mano with Pizzignacco after sprinting onto Retegui's headed assist Éderson went close with a glancing header that whistled past the post Then Retegui followed up with a solo effort Carnesecchi pulled off a superb save to keep Forson's close-range header at bay Then Maldini came close to the fourth in the 80th when his effort got kept out by a timely save from the Monza keeper Brescianini capped the game off by cleaving the ball into the roof of the net to make it 4-0 The young Turk will spend his birthday in Turin while the rest of his teammates face a crucial fixture for a spot in the top four against Bologna On one of his final days as a teenager, Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz was handed his first suspension as a professional thanks to being shown a red card in Sunday’s win over last-place Monza Not exactly the best way to ring in his 20th birthday But this is the result of Yildiz’s actions with just mere seconds to go before the first half came to a close this past weekend against now-relegated Monza Yildiz — who will turn 20 years old on Sunday the same day in which Juve will face Bologna in a showdown fpr a place in the top four — swung out his right elbow and clearly hit Monza’s Alessandro Bianco in the face Yildiz was shown a straight red for violent conduct resulting in Juventus having to play the entire second half down a man as they looked to close out the 2-0 win Tne final verdict: Yildiz will be suspended for the next two games causing him to miss Juventus’ back-to-back away fixtures against both Bologna and Lazio that will go a long way in determining if the Bianconeri will finish in the top four this season there was no reason for it,” the VAR official said on audio released on DAZN later that evening “He clearly looks at the player and then hits him with the elbow.” Juve interim manager Igor Tudor is without one of his best players as his team tries to take two massive steps over the next two weekends to try and get into and then stay in the top four heading into the final two matchdays of the 2024-25 season What Tudor does with Yildiz suddenly out of the starting lineup likely hinges on how healthy Dusan Vlahovic and Teun Koopmeiners are come this weekend If Vlahovic — who had to be subbed out at halftime of the loss to Parma — is healthy enough to return to the starting lineup against Bologna that probably means Randal Kolo Muani would start as one of the supporting attacking players behind the main striker then Kolo Muani is almost certainly starting atop Tudor’s 3-4-2-1 formation Yildiz posted an apology on social media on Monday “I am deeply sorry for what happened last night on the pitch It was not my intention to hit my opponent in that way and I apologize to him I would like to make it clear that it was a gesture that went beyond my real intentions and does not reflect my nature and way of living football “I would like to reiterate my apologies for what happened also to my teammates and thank them for their support that even in this situation was not lacking.” The Serie A side looked to end the season on a high after losing out on competing for the league title They maintained their third position on the league table following a comfortable 4-0 victory over Monza on Sunday afternoon Spanish club Atlético Madrid have started making moves to sign Atalanta star Ademola Lookman in the summer transfer window Ademola Lookman is back on Barcelona's agenda as the Blaugrana are said to have contacted his representatives Ademola Lookman started in attack for Atalanta as he looks to break his five-game goal drought in Serie A Atalanta started the game brightly and within the first 20 minutes Charles De Ketelaere scored two goals to give the visitors a comfortable lead before the halftime break Lookman scored the third to break his goal drought in the league Marco Brescianini then rounded up the game with the fourth goal to complete an overall performance from Atalanta.  The game ended with Atalanta sealing a 4-0 victory over Monza and Lookman also breaking his goal drought Juventus got back on track with Nico Gonzalez and Randal Kolo Muani goals but played the entire second half against Monza down to 10 men after Kenan Yildiz saw red for violent conduct The Bianconeri were still reeling after Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at Parma, which saw them slide down to fifth place. Dusan Vlahovic was also injured in that game Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal on the treatment table Monza were coming off four consecutive defeats Kevin Zeroli and Matteo Pessina missed out See how it unfolded on the Liveblog. Kolo Muani’s acrobatic volley stung Stefano Turati’s gloves at the back post while Samuele Birindelli failed to make the most of a promising counter-attack The deadlock was broken when Nico Gonzalez gathered down the right in midfield cut inside and hit a low drive into the far bottom corner with his left boot from a long way outside the penalty area Kolo Muani should’ve made it 2-0 when springing the offside trap only to bend the finish wide with the goal gaping but the former PSG striker did end his 79-day goal drought eventually ITALY – APRIL 27: Randal Kolo Muani of Juventus celebrates scoring his team’s second goal with teammates during the Serie A match between Juventus and Monza at Allianz Stadium on April 27 (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)Manuel Locatelli started the move by winning it back in midfield Khephren Thuram surged forward and spread it down the left for Kolo Muani to sweep into the far bottom corner with the inside of the right boot the game changed in first half stoppages when Kenan Yildiz was caught on camera looking at Alessandro Bianco before raising the elbow to his face in an off the ball incident He did not even protest when shown the red card following a VAR On-Field Review with Birindelli’s header straight at Michele Di Gregorio then Gaetano Castrovilli blasted off target while Nico Gonzalez off target with the outside of the boot tested Turati from close range Renato Veiga used his face to charge down a Gianluca Caprari screamer as Monza put together a series of crosses without much final product Comment * ushering in May in Brianza for the first of the four crunch-time clashes shaping up the Nerazzurri’s endgame the stage for the first away hurdle in the build-up to a textbook grand finale with the curtain set to fall in style at the Gewiss Stadium How many goals did Daniel Maldini score for Monza Not only one of the former players set to feature on Sunday but foremost the latest one to have made the trip between Monza and Bergamo Daniel Maldini will be in for a touch of nostalgia on MD35: due to his two seasons spent in Brianza this weekend marks an homecoming of sorts for the Nerazzurri no just over three months after his switch for the Brianzoli how does he stack up in the goal-scoring department compared to the other exes involved Roberto Gagliardini is the one anchoring the list: born and bred in Zingonia the former Atalanta graduate has etched his name on the shoresheet only once ever since joining Monza in the 2023/24 season after his stint at Inter the Trieste-born forward became a Brianteo after his stops in Ferrara and Naples and has found the net 5 times thus far let's shine the light on the final former-Nerazzurro-turned-Brianteo Matteo Pessina: an Atalanta player for three non-consecutive seasons (namely the 2018/19 campaign and then the 2020-2022 spell) the current Bagaj skipper boasts a tally of 12 goals in Monza colours Which brings us to second place in the chart and man of the hour Daniel Maldini: during his stay in Brianza including one notable strike against against what would have become his future club the goal that pulled one back for the hosts in last season's return fixture (highlights available below) When it comes to Monza vs Atalanta at the Brianteo the term "balance sheet" couldn't be more literal: considering the 16 encounters held thus far in Brianza across all competition not only is the head-to-head perfectly level in terms of outcomes (with 5 wins apiece and 6 remaining draws) If the overall picture reflects a true "balance of power" policy how do things shift when broken down by competition While Atalanta have the upper hand in Serie A winning all three top-flight meetings without a blemish having notched 4 home victories to the Nerazzurri's 2 Rounding things off with the Serie C (only one encounter dating back to the 1981/82 campaign and culminating in a goalless draw) and the Coppa Italia (one win each) balance is once again the name of the game Each Atalanta goal in Monza came from a different scorer despite being spread across not only different "eras" but a wide variety of competitions as well (from the Serie A to the Coppa Italia with the Italian second tier and Serie C in between) Each goal was scored by a different Atalanta player where multiple-goal hauls are more rule than exception with 4 braces (scored by no Nerazzurro has managed to bag more than a single goal thus far Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games 12.30 CET) when
