Contemporary artArt Exhibitions in Terni
Time Within the Signs is the first group show at THEPÒSITO Art
the exhibition brings together the works of three artists - Erica Ferraroni
Laura Santamaria and Meri Tancredi - in a dialogue that explores Time and Cosmos reinterpreting the oracular figure
The project focuses on the concept whereby the artist's role in the society is as similar as the one of a contemporary oracle
capable of transforming the perception of the world into a language that escapes linearity and certainty
placing us before a deep reflection on the relationship between time
The artist becomes an interpreter of time that passes
fragments and sensations into signs that require decipherment
but precisely in this enigmatic nature lies their energy
It is the observer's task to grasp the clues
aware that all understanding is temporary and never definitive
The work does not merely tell a story already defined
a fertile ground to reflect on the present and intuit possibilities for the future
aware that tomorrow will never be realized according to our expectations
transforms the circle into a powerful symbol of energy and transformation
Her images evoke constellations that seem to speak of aura
capturing an intimate connection between the human figure and universal geometries
uses nerofumo (carbon black) as a material trace to represent the orbits and astral cycles
joining the primordial matter of the universe to the processes that shape our lives
Meri Tancredi explores the flow of time through the video 'Tempo stabile di massima permanenza'
in which a beam of sunlight becomes the silent protagonist of a reflection on duration and permanence
plexiglass panels in which the overlapping of inscriptions over time makes the text almost illegible
she recalls the complexity of ancient oracle prophecies
The perception that these artists have of the world and the way they invite us to read it are a manifestation of Time flowing without assumptions
but opens spaces of question and imagination instead
making us aware of our deeply human desire to find certainties in reality
trying to shape a future that we cannot know
The title of the exhibition 'Time Within the Signs' suggests this tension between the need to interpret the present and the desire to glimpse in time signs that can guide us
the artist does not reveal absolute truths but invites us to decipher the signs that surround us
reminding that time is not a straight line but a constellation of fragments
time lives within the signs left by the artist
but starting points for a personal and collective journey through the mystery of 'being'
1976) lives and works between Como and Milan
Graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and later specialized from the Loughborough University School of Art and Design
Her site-specific projects and sculptures often present the viewer a parallelism between the micro and macro cosmos
thus reflecting on systems and processes of interconnectivity
Her multidisciplinary practice has been exhibited in museums and international institutions such as the Whitechapel Gallery in London (2015) and the MAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo
Founder and curator of 'Drawings from Lightning'
a multidisciplinary project focused on contemporary drawing
In her peregrinations she explores the relationship between language
The artist research focuses on the relationship between language
Questioning her own unconscious universe to relate it with a collective Time and coagulating her own reflections into semantic traces
other times labile and twisted anthropological and anthropic metaphors

Today's route transported the riders through the Chianti region and passed through Siena
which also welcomed the professional peloton in last week's famed Strade Bianche race. The beginning of the 232 kilometer stage
saw a breakaway trio take off from the peloton before the rain set in
The trio featured Garikoitz Bravo (Euskaltel-Euskadi)
Kevin Hulsmans (Fantini Vini-Selle Italia) and Cesare Benedetti (NetApp-Endura) and gained a maximum advantage of seven minutes before the Omega Pharma-QuickStep-headed main peloton began to grind minutes off the breakaway group's lead. The trio had a 3:15 advantage to the main peloton group at the start of the first finishing lap in the town of Indicatore
Team FDJ took over from Omega Pharma-QuickStep to help bring back the breakaway hopefuls
Then Cannondale Pro Cycling Team moved to the front with about five kilometers to go
hoping to deliver Peter Sagan in a perfect position for the final sprint.Spectators then saw Team Vacansoleil-DCM intensify the work done at the front
while the Lotto team's leadout men brought sprint ace Andre Greipel to the front in a tough effort in the final kilometers of the stage. The sprint to the finish line was initiated by Sagan with less than five hundred meters to go
but he saw Goss deliver a perfectly timed sprint effort which catapulted him across the finish line. When asked to explain his chosen tactic in the final kilometers
Goss told Roadcycling.com "In the sprint Sagan came from behind
He had come from a long way back but I knew he’d go anyway
so I kind of timed my sprint on his.""This is my first road race in Europe this season and I’ve won
so I’m looking forward to the rest of the season now
I know if I’m in good shape I can do a good Milano-San Remo next week
It’s definitely a goal for me," Goss revealed."That was the perfect start in our first WorldTour race," third place finisher Ciolek commented and added "We ride for a fantastic project to get African kids on bicycles
That is a great motivation for me and the team
which works very hard for our goal."Team Omega Pharma-QuickStep's former World Champion Mark Cavendish finished fifth in today's stage and was clearly disappointed with the help he received from his teammates
but we weren’t in a good position in the final kilometer
We’ll have words tonight." Cavendish
managed to hang on to his overall race lead and received a sweet treat from the Italian podium girls on the podium in Indicatore.Tomorrow's stage 3 of this year's Tirreno-Adriatico is a 190 kilometer ride from Indicatore to Narni Scalo

ITA) - Slovakian star Peter Sagan held off sprint ace Mark Cavendish to win the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico over 190km from Indicatore to Narni Scalo on Friday
With former world champion Cavendish on his wheel
Sagan attacked from well back and reeled in Andre Greipel to claim the victory
Race leader Cavendish left his attack too late while a fading Greipel took third on the stage
A series of attacks in the final 15km in wet conditions forced up the pace as the sprinters' teams accelerated to control the action
No-one could get away for very long and as the stage drew to a close Greipel seemed ideally placed while Cavendish found himself a long way back
Greipel led until the final 50-metres but while Sagan timed his charge to perfection
Cavendish left himself just a little bit too much to do
Saturday's fourth stage is a lumpy 170km run from Narni Scalo to Prati di Tivo
