Pero Dagbovie hosted a discussion for his book "Forever in the Path: The Black Experience at Michigan State University" on Feb
details the histories and contributions of Black students at the university
beginning with the first known Black students to be enrolled in the mid 1890s
"Very little has been written today about this aspect of MSU’s history," Dean of MSU Libraries Neil Romanosky said
Dagbovie’s ’Forever in the Path’ is the first to provide a comprehensive overview of the Black experience at MSU from the late 19th to the late 20th centuries."
Romanosky highlighted the effort that Dagbovie put into creating his book
noting the deep archival work that had to be done when exploring the stories of early Black students
Dagbovie said that uncovering information on those who attended MSU in the late 1800s and early 1900s required multiple sources
"I just searched for people who were rendered voiceless by archives," Dagbovie said
"People are sometimes rendered voiceless because the people collecting materials might not be thinking about them."
Dagbovie covers a wide array of important Black students who reshaped the culture of the university
Many major steps towards equality on campus
"There’s this notion that (former MSU president John Hannah) was benevolent and desegregated the dorms," Dagbovie said
we’re going to take this to the senate floor and Michigan State will lose its funding.’"
The 1960s proved to be a monumental decade in Black student enrollment and involvement at MSU
In 1960 there were only a little more than a hundred Black students enrolled at MSU
worked to recruit more Black students to attend the university
with a total of 700 Black students on campus that fall.
the Detroit Project was not the only cause for that number to increase
Events such as the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr
in April of 1968 inspired Black activists across the nation to demand more of their universities
"In the fall of 1968 the incoming Black student body doubled
and there were about one thousand total Black students on campus," Dagbovie said
"There were more than 2,500 African American Spartans by the early 1970s."
Dagbovie’s detailed storytelling and descriptions made it easy for members of the community
to connect with the stories depicted in "Forever in the Path."
"This book feels very personal to me," Demers said
Dagbovie describes the ties between Lansing’s African American community and the university
This book enriched my memories of being a student here
and it will inform my path as a member of the community going forward."
Dagbovie did not simply recount important names and events that readers should know about when researching the history of Black involvement at MSU
he worked to detail their lives and circumstances so that the readers can fully understand their impact
this book is a blend of intellectual history
educational history and institutional history," Dagbovie said
"It’s part of the African American biographical tradition
seeking to understand the past and why they made those choices."
Dagbovie explained the importance of viewing history through a lens that might seem unfamiliar
as it can be eye opening to a side that may not receive as much recognition and can help members of the community see their campus from a new perspective
we see a noticeably different Michigan State University history than the one we are accustomed to," Dagbovie said
"We see the potential of what John Hannah called a 'multiversity,' and of what Clifton Wharton dubbed a 'pluralistic university.'"
"Forever in the Path" highlights both the successes and the struggles that Black students at MSU have faced since its founding
Dagbovie explained that acknowledging both sides is crucial in telling those stories
"When making sense of the Black historical experience at Michigan State
we should also remember to maintain that delicate balance between notions of victimization
struggle and perseverance," Dagbovie said.

Forever in the Path: The Black Experience at Michigan State University
professor Pero Dagbovie explores the history of Black life at MSU from the 1890s through the late 20th century
Dagbovie is the university's vice provost for graduate and postdoctoral studies and is dean of the MSU Graduate School
He spoke with Michigan Public Morning Edition host Doug Tribou
Doug Tribou: Could you tell us a bit about the book's title
Pero Dagbovie: That title Forever in the Path actually comes from the Black national anthem or the quote unquote
"Negro National Anthem" written by James Weldon Johnson in the very early 20th century — in about 1900
And that notion of being forever in the path speaks to the legacy of those who charted new terrain for Black people to be at Michigan State University
So whoever comes in the future will be following in the path that was laid by those pathfinders
DT: You open the book with some of the stories of the first black students to graduate from MSU around the turn of the 20th century
What were some of the obstacles they faced when they got there
PD: Segregation in the North wasn't the same as it was in the South
but there still was something called Jim Crow North
And so these early students who came to Michigan Agricultural College usually didn't stay on campus
So it meant they had to have transportation early in the morning and late at night
there was just that notion of cultural isolation
that there weren't many Black people in Lansing at the time
and certainly there was very few Black people in East Lansing
which was called Collegeville back in the day
DT: The Michigan Agricultural College commencement in 1900 featured Booker T
one of the leading African-American authors and speakers of that time
But his influence at the school went far beyond the ceremony
Can you describe his thoughts around land grant institutions and how he fostered talent
really respected the high technological advancements that MAC made in the agricultural arts
And he reached out to several MAC presidents inquiring if Michigan State had any
quote unquote colored or Negro students who had recently graduated who could come to Tuskegee
And there were several who ended up doing that
And those connections between [Historically Black Colleges and Universities] and Michigan State would continue to thrive through the first half of the 20th century
DT: When did MSU start to have more significant numbers of Black students on campus
PD: You saw the big increase in the number of black students in the late 1960s
particularly after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr
there were 700 African Americans enrolled in Michigan State
This was something that was happening across the nation at predominantly white universities
DT: Large institutions — like MSU — often have communities within communities
And you document many instances in different eras of Black students coming together and supporting each other
the Black Faculty and Administrators Association organized a Black Student Orientation Program
Could you tell us a bit about that and other efforts around that time to help students adapt to life on campus
PD: Black students in the late 1960s gave a host of demands indicating that they needed more [Black] faculty
And so the university responded by hiring more faculty
And so those faculty were there by virtue of the activism of the students
And so they created different orientation programs
It was kind of like a college within a university because there was a critical mass of Black students
And the number of Black faculty would increase significantly from the '60s to the '70s into the early '80s
DT: Do you have a sense that there was a feeling of being othered in that moment
or was there also a feeling of of being part of the greater campus-wide community
Dubois' The Souls of Black Folk and his notion of double consciousness that people often elicit
And I would argue that African Americans at Michigan State at this time had a sense of double consciousness
marginalized Black students on a predominantly white campus university setting
they were Spartans and they took pride in their university
And they took so much pride in it as citizens of the university that they felt it was their duty to help change it and reform it for the better
DT: We’re here in 2025 and you’ve just made this great effort to document Black life at MSU
You relied on other efforts before you to record that history
Can you tell us about the Black student publication the Grapevine Journal
It was an award-winning newspaper that was created for and by Black students that provided budding Black journalists with a safe space to hone their craft and to write about not only the Black community on campus
but also the global and national Black community
The archives for this newspaper are amazing
research that was done on the history of Black students that was never published
They're all in this Grapevine Journal Collection that is at the university archives in historical collections
And I think that I might be one of the first historians to really probe into these documents with a fine-tooth comb
DT: Is there a story or moment that you uncovered in your research that surprised you — or has stuck with you — more than others
if I were to talk about like what I was most intrigued by
it would be the role that Black students played as activists long before the 1960s
most people acknowledge that Black students on campuses like MSU were very active during the Civil Rights Movement
But I found scores of examples of Black students individually and semi-collectively challenging the university to live up to its ideals before Brown v
Whether it was dealing with the desegregation of the dorms or challenging the university to issue a statement indicating that they wouldn't discriminate against people based upon color or race
there are multiple references to the Michigan Agricultural College (MAC)
That was MSU's official name from 1909 to1925
but MSU had also previously been known as State Agricultural College and before that
Agricultural College of the State of Michigan
Michigan State University is the school's sixth official name

Gretchen Rosado tucks herself into the back of a room at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital
She’s there to hear Pitt researcher Miguel Brieño-Enríquez talk about reproduction and aging in naked mole rats
She’s clearly the only first-year undergraduate student who’s shown up
Though most of what Brieño-Enríquez says is beyond Rosado’s understanding
she stays until the very end of his presentation
And then she patiently picks her way through the crowd to front of the room until she’s standing in front of the assistant professor
and I wanted to talk to you about working in your lab.”

She wanted to know everything about everything in her world

“I had already been to science camps that prepare you for med school and research
and knew I loved hands-on science,” Rosado says

I knew I needed to get hands-on research.”

Rosado saw in Brieño-Enríquez a person to model her own career after
He grew up in Mexico and earned doctorate and medical degrees and conducts research in the United States
after Brieño-Enríquez asked and Rosado answered a few questions in English
he paused and suggested they switch to Spanish
The best thing because in Brieño-Enríquez’s lab
Rosado not only gets to do real research — she’s already co-authored one paper and is working on a second — but she can do it in a place where she feels safe and understood
Though she’s been speaking English since middle school and always uses English for scientific terms
being able to speak my language and be like
and I understand you,’ and I can actually be myself and ask way more questions than I would have asked only in English,” Rosado says
“I go outside and talk to people in English
but I feel like I can just be myself in the lab
Working in Brieño-Enríquez’s lab has opened more opportunities to Rosado
She interned at a lab in San Diego the summer before her sophomore year
she returned to Puerto Rico for a program that allowed her to shadow 10 medical specialists working in underrepresented communities
a power outage cut electricity in the hospital — no lights
Since Hurricane Maria ripped across the island in 2017
She realized then that she wouldn’t be following Brieño-Enríquez’s precise career path after all
where all she’s learned in the lab will make her a top candidate for medical school and help her to help her island
it's easy to want to be comfortable,” Rosado says
“I know I could find a place at Pitt to stay forever

Indian label péro is joining in with Hello Kitty‘s 50th anniversary celebrations, launching a new collaboration for Spring/Summer 2025.
Inspired by the shared ethos of both brands, centering around human connection, love and being nice, the collaboration aims to celebrate “the nicest and most joyful things.” Building on the signature Sanrio character’s motifs, like cherries, apples, creamy cupcakes and milk cartons, the collection reimagines them through péro’s distinctive design language and textile techniques.
“And then, obviously his brother, was up for prospect of the year by Ring Magazine. Didn’t win it, but was in the top five in all weight classes. And by everybody’s account, he’s one of the best young fighters in the world. The 2020 Olympian, the youngest Cuban to do it, so I’m very excited about both brothers.”
Southpaw Lenier, 32 years of age, is 11-0 (8 KOs), and Dainier, who is 25, is 10-0 (8 KOs). The older brother is slated to face Detrailous Webster in Florida next month.
Santos has high hopes for both, and is ready to put them in tough. He believes that, despite their comparative professional inexperience, they could be in a position to meet the heavyweights of the current generation. If there are chances to do so, Santos is ready to accept.
Santos compares the younger brother to current divisional No. 1 Usyk.
“I’m not saying he’s gonna be Usyk, but he has a lot of similarities to Usyk, could do a lot of things Usyk can do,” Santos explained. “Obviously when the money comes, we’ll see if the hunger and the desire’s still there. If that’s the case, the skillset’s there. I think he can do a plethora of different things. And he’s actually bigger than Usyk. He’s a naturally bigger guy.
“He’s not as big as the super heavyweights, but he’s not a small guy either. So he’s not Usyk tiny but he’s not like [Zhilei] Zhang or one of those types of guys. He’s right in between. I think he’s gonna give guys a lot of problems because of that. To me, he still has power like the big guys, but he has the stamina of some of the littler guys.”
Santos believes the young heavyweight is in the sweet spot; agile but strong, fast but physical. And there is another emerging heavyweight that Santos would like to see Dainier paired with sooner than later. In fact, Santos said he would welcome a fight with British heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma.

Pero, 11-0 (8 KOs), will make his official debut on the Matchroom roster on April 18, when he faces Detrailous Webster, 9-4 (5 KOs), at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. The 32-year-old Pero is riding a five-fight knockout streak but has struggled to maintain momentum in his career since turning pro in 2019.
Still, despite not fighting since last March, Pero has managed to attain a no. 4 ranking with the WBA.
“I’m excited to take this next step in my career with Matchroom and Boxlab Promotions as my co-promoters,” said the 6’4” southpaw Pero. “Together, we’ll bring my journey to the world stage, and I’m ready to show everyone why I’m an undefeated force in the heavyweight division. The time is now to take my career to the next level.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Lenier to the Matchroom team,” said Hearn. “The heavyweight division is always evolving, and Lenier has the tools to become real contender. We’re excited to be working with Amaury and the Boxlab team on Lenier’s progression, and we’ll be looking for him to make a big impression on the division this year.”
“I’m thrilled to be working with Eddie Hearn and the team at Matchroom on advancing Lenier Pero’s career,” said Amaury Piedra, Boxlab Promotions. “This former Cuban Olympian has passed all his tests in the pro ranks earning a top ranking with the WBA. Now is the time to join forces with Matchroom so we can together take him to new heights and show the world this future heavyweight champion.”
Pero, 10-0 (8 KOs), who is promoted by Boxlab Promotions, has featured on Most Valuable Prospects 5, 6, 7 and 10, most recently knocking out Walter Burns in the first round in December.
The co-main event will feature Orlando's own Corey “2Smoove” Marksman in an eight-round lightweight contest against undefeated Taylor “The Butcher” Beltran, 10-0-1 (5 KOs).
Marksman, 10-0-1 (7 KOs), recently appeared on the undercard of MVP co-founder Jake Paul's PPV bout with Mike Perry, where Marksman scored a majority decision win in a rematch with Tony Aguilar, with whom he had fought to a draw in February 2024.
"Most Valuable Prospects continues to be the ultimate proving ground for the next generation of boxing superstars to showcase their skills, and this card is stacked with serious talent ready to make their mark,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of MVP, in a statement to announce the fights.
“Dainier Pero has been on a dominant run, and defending his WBA Continental USA heavyweight title against a dangerous opponent like Cesar Navarro is exactly the kind of test that will push him to the next level. In the co-main, Corey Marksman and Tayden Beltran are two undefeated young killers, and only one of them is leaving with that zero intact on Friday, May 9 Thank you to Boxlab Promotions and DAZN for sharing our vision and giving these rising stars the platform to shine."
A Cuban defector following his 2021 Summer Olympics loss to silver medalist Richard Torrez Jnr of Central California, Pero, 9-0 (7 KOs), meets Detroit’s 8-2 (6 KOs) Walter Burns on a Most Valuable Promotions card at the Caribe Royale hotel.
The main event is a WBA interim bantamweight title fight between Florida’s Antonio Vargas, 18-1 (10 KOs), and Nicaragua’s Winston Guerrero, who is 22-0 (13 KOs). Both fighters made weight Thursday and complete weights from the full card are listed below.
Pero has posted five consecutive technical knockout victories and his trainer, Bob Santos, nicknames his boxer “The Fear” and says he deserves consideration for prospect of the year.
Pero is driven by his personal travails of enduring several failed defections from Cuba, one of which compromised his training for the Olympics.
“Everybody goes through tough times. That was my tough time,” Pero said. “Everybody also has a dream. I have a dream that God has something in mind better and greater for me, to fulfill something great and make history.”
He wouldn’t lament the Torrez loss, knowing well how the Top Rank product is off to a 12-0 start with 11 knockouts, including one that came Saturday in Phoenix.
“It was a tough fight. Things happened, but I make no excuses,” Pero said. “I wanted to do my best. I want to keep growing now and do better every time. Those things happen in Cuba. I couldn’t be as disciplined as I wanted. I want to keep chasing my dream.”
That dream starts with this minor belt on a card being staged before many important eyes watching with the opening of the WBA Convention.
“It’s huge, my first title fight,” Pero said. “I hope it launches me into 2025, where I can only imagine what’s in store for me. I would love to fight as many times as possible.”
Pero’s ability to continue his stoppage streak would be a boost.
His attention on offense mirrors the Cuban trend away from defense and technique, embracing the knockout more fully.
“I’m Cuban. I come from the great boxing school of Cuba and I present a lot of difficult skills to make me dangerous,” Pero said Thursday before his ceremonial weigh-in. “In this new generation, we know we have to win by knockout and have to win by fabulous performances, and I’m definitely up for that.
“Mañana, you’ll see.”

Pero, a 2020 Cuban Olympian who lost to Richard Torrez in the quarter finals, is now training in Las Vegas and he’s set his sights on following in the footsteps of some big names.
“Mike Tyson and Anthony Joshua set the standard for guys like me trying to make it big. They were named Ring Magazine’s ‘Prospect of the Year’ early in their careers, and being compared to them is a huge honor.”
Mike Tyson started his professional career in 1985 with 15 wins and followed that in 1986 with another 13 triumphs, which included winning his first heavyweight title.
Such hectic scheduling doesn’t exist anymore and even Joshua fought only seven times in 2014 prior to winning his prospect award.
“It reminds me I’ve still got work to do, but it also shows I’m heading in the right direction,” Pero said.
His trainer, Bob Santos, added: “He hasn’t lost one second of any of his fights this year. He’s in the most dangerous weight class in boxing.”
Santos believes given the danger of the division and the way Pero has been fighting; he should get the same honor bestowed upon Tyson and Joshua.
There remains the need for care during development, however. Santos recalled a fight he worked early in his career in which a heavyweight prospect, and an Olympic alternate, got knocked out.
“The opponent ended up falling out, and they brought this guy in at the last minute,” Santos said. “He came into the event, and he was in the back drinking a beer. They said: He has nobody to work his corner.”
Santos ended up stepping in and asked what condition he was in.
“In no condition at all,” came the answer. “I just got here.” Santos told him to stop drinking beer and go for broke.
“That guy hit the heavyweight prospect who was undefeated, and ended up stopping him,” Santos said. “These are big guys. He caught him off-guard and ended up stopping him. To me it is the most dangerous weight class there is, and I think everybody would agree with that.”
It’s not been easy to get the right fights for Pero, however.
“You can only fight at the level of competition that people will put in the ring in the ring with you,” Santos said. “I will give you an example. The Samoan who fought Gurgen Hovannsyan [Patrick Mailata] was offered double to fight us.”
Pero’s promoter, Amaury Piedra, the President of BoxLab Promotions agreed with Santos’ assessment.
“We were laughing during the last show on December 13, that it takes longer to match Pero than it does the rest of the card,” Piedra said. “I know our matchmakers have fits with it.
“I see Pero as a contender for Prospect of the Year. He should definitely be in that conversation.”
More than anything, Pero just wants the chance to progress.
“I believe I can reach the top, but talent alone isn’t enough to get there,” Pero said. “You need hard work, heart, and to stay humble as you grow. Every fight gets me closer, and I never take that for granted.
“Cuba has a long history of great boxers, but no Cuban heavyweight has ever been world champion,” he continued. “That’s the goal. I fight for that every time I step in the ring. The legends before me inspire me, and I truly believe that with hard work and faith, I can make history for my country.”

Fuerza Regida embarked on a guerrilla marketing campaign to promote an upcoming show at the Toyota Arena in Ontario
The San Bernardino-based quintet had already reached the top of Billboard’s U.S
with 2019’s “Del Barrio Hasta Aqui” and 2020’s “Adicto,” two albums full of corridos tumbados
which blend elements of traditional Mexican music— requinto guitars and a brass rhythm section— with hip-hop-like lyrics in Spanish about trapping
there were still plenty of unsold tickets left
a camera crew and a desire to see every seat filled for what would be a hometown concert
Fuerza Regida showed up unannounced at nearby Arroyo Valley and San Bernardino high schools and performed a quick set for students before moving on to the Ontario Mills mall
Fuerza Regida embodies the idea that if you work hard enough
you can achieve your version of the American dream
But what created the biggest buzz from this traveling road show was the band’s final impromptu performance, which took place in the middle of the westbound 10 Freeway, right in front of the Toyota Arena. In a video clip posted to Fuerza Regida frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz’s TikTok account
we see the band’s caravan of vehicles block all five lanes as it plays a banda rendition of “El Muchacho Alegre,” a song popularized by legendary mariachi singer Pedro Infante
accruing millions of views and thousands of comments
many admonishing Fuerza Regida for bringing traffic to a standstill while others praised the members for their ingenuity
we would have to pull up [to a city] early to promote because we weren’t selling out like that
Thank God we don’t have to do that anymore,” Ortiz Paz
says in between bites of baby carrots and hummus
It’s a mid-July afternoon and I’m sitting with the 27-year-old singer and his entourage of at least a dozen people at a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Culver City
an hourlong pit stop in a day crammed with interviews to promote “Pero No Te Enamores,” Fuerza Regida’s eighth studio album (released July 25 on Rancho Humilde Records and Street Mob Records)
joined Apple Music DJ Zane Lowe to record an episode of the streamer’s “New Music Daily” radio show
it was off to Burbank to be interviewed by DJ Bootleg Kev for his syndicated hip-hop program
and the rest of the band — requinto guitarist Samuel Jaimez
tubist José Garcia and tololoche player Moises Lopez — would fly out to Dallas to resume a nationwide arena tour that has sold out most dates and will culminate with two shows at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome in mid-November

(Courtesy of Fuerza Regida) “We’re doing just English media today
We’ve never really done anything with that market before,” J.O.P
says with a hint of satisfaction in his voice
Many of its young stars and their ever-growing fan bases are based on this side of the border
identify themselves with Fuerza Regida,” J.O.P
they know our culture is a different culture being born over here [rather] than over there.”
According to Luminate’s midyear music report
Latin music is the genre that has seen the highest growth rate over the last year
Música Mexicana’s dominance is most apparent in Southern California
home to the country’s largest Mexican American population
14 of the 25 songs listed on Apple Music’s daily trending chart for Los Angeles belong to the genre
sharing space with the likes of pop “it” girl Sabrina Carpenter and Kendrick Lamar’s epic diss track “Not Like Us.” Of these
The band got its start in 2015 by playing covers at parties and local venues in San Bernardino, and the rollicking good times haven’t stopped since — its concerts are notoriously boozy, boisterous affairs
Fuerza Regida’s specialty is making earworms meant to be played loudly
whether it be “Radicamos en South Central,” its first hit
a corrido tumbado from 2018 about building a drug empire brick by brick; “Bebe Dame,” a romantic cumbia recorded with Tex-Mex act Grupo Frontera in 2022; or “Tu Name,” a scornful rebuff released earlier this year about moving on and forgetting someone by sleeping with other women

Fuerza Regida’s success can be attributed to its prolificness
the group has released four albums and one EP
all of which cracked the Billboard 200 top albums chart for all genres
playing close to 100 shows over the same period
“I was a businessman before I was an artist,” J.O.P.
who oversees the creative direction of Fuerza Regida
says of his entrepreneurial approach to the music industry as the diamond-encrusted logo of Street Mob Records dangles from his neck
he founded the independent music label in 2019
two of the most promising artists in música Mexicana
“My dad works in construction and he likes what he does
He doesn’t have to work anymore but he still goes in because he enjoys it,” says J.O.P
“Pero No Te Enamores” is Fuerza Regida’s most ambitious project to date
one that puts the pliancy of musica Méxicana to the test
Mexican music has borrowed from and incorporated other genres into its fold — the accordion
was first introduced to the country in the late 19th century by Czech and German immigrants through polkas; cumbia arrived from Colombia in the 1940s
Fuerza Regida is adding electronic dance music to the mix
giving a name to the fusion of Jersey club
house music and corridos found on the album
Fuerza Regida first dipped its toes in the EDM waters last year with “Harley Quinn,” an uptempo collaboration with DJ Marshmello that’s heavy on the horns — the single
off of “Pa’ Las Baby’s y Belikeada,” peaked at No
With “Pero No Te Enamores,” the band dives headfirst from the deep end of the pool
Fuerza Regida enlisted producers Gordo (who worked on Drake’s 2022 album “Honestly
Never Mind”) and Synthetic (he produced Lil Uzi Vert’s 2023 single “Just Wanna Rock”)
and collaborated with EDM heavy hitters DJ Afrojack and Major Lazer
The hybrid sound of Jersey corridos is most apparent in tracks like “Bella” and “Secreto Victoria,” which seamlessly blend guitar instrumentation with catchy dance beats
Fuerza Regida abandons the música Mexicana sound altogether — “Nel,” the album’s lead single
If fans were upset about the experimental turn taken with the record, that dissatisfaction was not reflected on the charts. Within 24 hours after its release, “Pero No Te Enamores” jumped to the No. 1 spot on Apple Music’s all-genres list. The following week, it debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard 200.
Despite the success of the record, J.O.P. says the band is not done with corridos.
“I love Jersey club, so when we decided to make a dance album, we knew it was going to be this. I don’t want to make different types of music throughout my career. I wanted to do this album and then go back to my original stuff,” he said, hinting that the next album was already in the works.
“We like to do something for the people that can’t really afford a ticket to our shows. We have to do our shows, that’s how we make our money and live, but we always want to do something for the fans,” he tells me during a brief follow-up interview an hour after the Boyle Heights party ended. It’s late at night and we are standing in the driveway of the Mulholland Drive mansion he rented to rest up after bouncing around the city all day.
“I’m tired but in a good way. We love it. I can’t see myself doing something else,” he says before thanking me for my time and heading back inside. The following day, he and the band would fly out to Atlanta to continue the tour.
