Baby leaf lettuces play a key role in the fresh-cut sector
selected with the needs of growers and distributors in mind
we are ready to contribute to the relaunch of a supply chain with high added value
committed to a path of sustainability that
starts from the seed," says Samuele Pellegrini
its resistance and a seed certified free of Lettuce Mosaic Virus (LMV) are the basic characteristics that unite the lettuce varieties proposed by Levantia Seed
developed to meet the needs of growers of leafy vegetables for the fresh-cut market
The Venetian seed company's offer is enriched by a new addition for the 2024 campaign
a green lettuce particularly suitable for late spring and summer sowings
"In last year's pre-commercial field tests in the Sele plain
the Imperiale variety made a strong impression on growers for its performance in the field and its consistent quality," says Giuseppe Picaro
Levantia Seed's sales technician for southern Italy
Victoria is Levantia Seed's flagship variety for this segment
where its high resistance to the Fusarium virus ensures high yields for growers," emphasizes Pellegrini
and due to its resistance to temperature changes
This means that the color remains even throughout the production."
the red lettuce Suzan rounds off the offer from Levantia Seed for the summer season
"It is a very productive variety," stresses the managing director
three-dimensional leaf and excellent coloring right down to the base
which is a peculiar characteristic of Suzan that differentiates it on the market."
Levantia Seed is a professional horticultural seed company based in the northern Italian province of Rovigo
in the heart of the Po Delta Park in Porto Viro
the references that distinguish it the most are: pumpkin
The Venetian seed company has a long history of research and experimentation in this field
which has resulted in products for the fresh-cut sector
with rocket and baby lettuce at the top of the range

ExxonMobil announced that it may sell its majority stake in the Rovigo liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal
Italy’s main regasification terminal
as part of a larger strategy to get rid of its non-core assets
The Italian main terminal is owned by Exxon’s subsidiary ExxonMobil Italiana Gas (70.7%)
QatarEnergy subsidiary Qatar Terminal Company Limited (22%) and Snam Spa (SRG.MI) (7.3%)
Exxon stated that although it was confirming market interest
it had not yet made a decision regarding a potential sale and had not found a buyer
“Tests like this are consistent with our focused investment strategy
highlighting our willingness to divest noncore assets to those who can derive greater value,” Exxon spokesperson Meghan Macdonald said
managed by Italy’s Terminale GNL Adriatico
about 15 km off Porto Viro in the Veneto region
The facility has recently had its regasification capacity expanded to 9 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year
Any transaction would neither affect Exxon’s imports of LNG into the Adriatic LNG terminal
nor affect its interest in the Italian and European markets as a natural gas supplier

The Adriatic terminal’s regasification capacity was expanded to nine billion cubic metres of natural gas per year
Exxon Mobil is planning to divest its majority stake in the Adriatic regasification terminal in Italy, reported Reuters
The move forms part of Exxon’s wider efforts to offload assets it considers ‘noncore’
Through its subsidiary ExxonMobil Italiana Gas, Exxon owns a 70.7% stake in the Adriatic liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal while Italian gas grid operator Snam holds a 7.3% interest
The remaining 22% stake in the terminal is owned by QatarEnergy subsidiary Qatar Terminal Company Limited
Snam holds the first right of refusal in the event that Exxon decides to sell its stake in the regasification terminal
Exxon has not yet identified any potential buyer at this stage and is assessing market interest

The US firm said that a potential transaction would not impact its LNG imports into the Adriatic LNG terminal
Managed by Italy’s Terminale GNL Adriatico
the offshore terminal is located in the northern Adriatic Sea
approximately 15km off Porto Viro in the Veneto region
the terminal’s regasification capacity was expanded to nine billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas per year
