Automation Software Technology Process System
Merlin Cyber and Rimini Street have entered a strategic partnership aimed at helping U.S
government agencies reduce IT operating costs and extend the life of existing enterprise software systems
The collaboration brings together Merlin Cyber’s experience in federal sales enablement and public sector technology deployment with Rimini Street’s third-party software support and modernization services
The joint effort is designed to support agencies under cost-reduction mandates like the Department of Government Efficiencies (DOGE)
while avoiding the high expense of system overhauls
Rimini Street offers an alternative to traditional vendor support for Oracle
and VMware applications—often at a significantly lower cost—allowing organizations to postpone expensive upgrades for up to 15 years
By leveraging Merlin Cyber’s knowledge of federal contracting and go-to-market strategy
Rimini Street is expanding its reach across federal
This approach not only reduces immediate operating costs but also enables agencies to deploy automation
and workflow enhancements across existing ERP platforms—without requiring version upgrades or budget increases
The partnership has already led to a major contract with one of the largest U.S
demonstrating its potential to deliver tangible savings and improved IT support for the public sector
As budget constraints persist across agencies
this collaboration provides a practical path to modernization without disruption

In a surprising turn of events for enterprise resource planning (ERP) customers globally, as part of its Q3 2024 financial results, ServiceNow announced a new expanded partnership with one of the most popular third-party software support providers
Both companies are creating a new enterprise software model that will allow existing on-premises ERP systems and other enterprise applications to add new AI innovations using ServiceNow’s AI platform
The new offering will leverage the single architecture
single data model of ServiceNow with Rimini Street’s proven independent third-party software support capabilities to add and enhance customer innovation across several key pillars such as procurement
This is welcome news to many on-premises ERP and other large enterprise application customers worldwide who have stalled their move to SaaS or vendor-hosted cloud offerings for ERP
multimillion-dollar upgrades or transformation programs
not upgrading means no access to new vendor AI innovations
Many such customers are also facing rising support costs from software vendors like SAP and Oracle to their old on-premises footprint
along with end-of-support software deadlines
has triggered a move to third-party software support providers such as Rimini Street to significantly save on software support and maintenance costs and prolong the life of their on-premises applications for which they own perpetual licenses
Lack of modernization and an inability to add new AI innovations were often cited as the biggest industry critiques of moving and staying with third-party software support
but Rimini Street has just squashed that concern by partnering with ServiceNow
which is well known for its modern platform enabling workflows
Legacy or on-premises customers using Rimini Street can now add a complex layer of AI and automation innovation over these existing systems without having the need to undergo costly and complex upgrades and painstakingly expensive transformation programs
Customers need not wait several years to complete upgrades to access AI innovations offered by software vendors
On-premises customers can access innovation now when it is most needed in these economically uncertain and inflationary conditions
SAP S/4HANA on-premises and ECC on-premises customers will rejoice knowing that they don’t have to wait to complete (or even start
for that matter) their RISE with SAP S/4HANA cloud programs (often considered very expensive in the industry) to leverage Business AI innovations from SAP
Many existing SAP customers have been using Rimini Street for third-party software support due to the rising cost of SAP support over the last two years and to extend the life of their ECC systems and on-premises S/4HANA systems
These customers will now have the ability to innovate right where they are
which puts the power back into the hands of the SAP customers to be able to transform without disruptions
The industry has seen SAP change its RISE with SAP offering over the years
and 2025 and beyond will see further expansion on what is traditionally considered RISE with SAP and Cloud ERP
Both SAP and ServiceNow reported great Q3 2024 financial results
Industry competition is getting stiff between the five enterprise mega vendors — SAP
and ServiceNow — to gain market share and positioning in ERP
with only two of them successfully positioning as an end-to-end platform company
with Workday and Salesforce announcing a federated data model partnership
Oracle announcing several groundbreaking multicloud partnerships
While most of these innovations are in SaaS or vendor-hosted cloud offerings
on-premises customers are often left in the dust
This is precisely why this ServiceNow and Rimini Street partnership offers some reprieve to customers worrying about having no access to AI innovation if they stalled their move to SaaS or cloud platforms

If cooking pasta to al dente (and not one minute more) ever became law, Rimini would be an upstanding citizen. Finding a sunday gravy-soaked meatball that contains the holy trinity of pork, beef, and veal is near impossible around these parts, but here it's the norm. And finally—finally—Seattle has a chicken parmigiana to brag about.
If the food were lukewarm trash, perhaps we’d still come to this special occasion spot for the hospitality and some stiff Negronis. But what’s happening inside Rimini’s kitchen makes the otherwise goofy “Old Italy” theme feel validated—down to every last truffled pecorino wedge or chocolate baton-harpooned slice of Nutella cheesecake.
Our favorite variations on arguably the best thing to happen to a head of romaine
and the opinion that whatever marinara can do
Perica talks about how to navigate potential tariff-induced disruptors
his team’s 2025 plans and business collaboration
CFOs know that being aware of the challenges affecting both their business and their customers' businesses is pivotal to creating reliable forecast models
things like tariffs — though Rimini Street is a software support and services company — matter
Perica’s experience as a CFO in the manufacturing and technology sector gives him the ability to discuss not only the potential secondary impact and required risk assessment that come with new economic policies but also the importance of ad-hoc communication and how to manage it in a virtual work environment
his tips on working alongside a passionate CEO
ERP transition insight for new CFOs and more
This interview has been edited for brevity and clarity
MICHAEL PERICA: From a cultural perspective
I am enjoying this CFO job more than any other CFO position I’ve had
I ran very large ERP systems and wanted options
I didn’t even know they existed until I got a call to come to Rimini Street
If I had known there was a publicly traded company offering ERP alternatives at the time
I would’ve definitely considered the product and being the CFO here
We are on the cusp of realizing our potential. We’ve just launched a major partnership with ServiceNow to modernize more quickly and economically compared to going down the vendor ERP modernization roadmap
We’re excited to have a productive 2025 as an organization
and things are in place now to continue moving in the right direction
PERICA: I would advise them to step up as a leader and form a task force
This isn’t just because of the new presidential administration
but if you’ve been building products for a while
Managing your supply and demand characteristics within political situations is vital to success
I just don’t see how a company can have a proper and holistic business analysis
as well as a proper deployment of capital unless the initiative is CFO-led
This also depends heavily on your internal financial and R&D capabilities
I dealt with over 100,000 unique item numbers the business was sourcing
During the first wave of the new administration in 2016 and its approach to China
I learned from that mistake and now know the importance of making the business approach proactive and flexible to adapt to political decisions quickly
Most CFO collaboration doesn’t work unless it’s enterprise-wide
I can’t stress the importance of collaboration enough
particularly between forward-looking finance and the FP&A component of the CFO’s team
being true partners throughout the business
getting invited to meetings and actively participating
It needs to be company-wide and a strategic initiative for the organization to benefit from it
many finance teams will lobby you for modernization
and I think it’s important to identify the reasons behind it
My advice is to identify appropriate uses of capital that will generate a return
while also considering alternatives like a hybrid approach to modernization
it’s elements of the system that need more advanced software
Knowing the alternatives can give CFOs more confidence in finding an economical and quick path to modernization while utilizing next-generation technologies
Make sure you don’t upgrade systems just because the vendor says it’s required
Once the finance team commits to a specific type of software
Many of these projects go over budget and take longer than expected
That’s why it’s essential to have a clear business objective for ERP modernization
rather than doing it simply because the system is aging
This is partly why I’m so excited about 2025
The next generation of technologies that will help modernize tools within these systems is going to excite a lot of CFOs
PERICA: Communication is one of the most crucial skills for any CFO
We have a responsibility to the board and shareholders
It was a bit easier when we were in the office every day
especially those at publicly traded companies
should sit down with the CEO for at least 30 minutes daily in an unstructured
Regardless of whether you’re working at a founder-led organization
it’s essential to talk about where the company needs to go
and how the finance team can help move it forward
These are conversations every CFO should have with their CEO regularly
I avoid relying too much on email communication
I always have my camera on during virtual meetings and I make it known I prefer live conversations
That’s how I’ve been able to communicate effectively in a hybrid model
I’ve been in meetings with 20 or more people
we’re showing that this type of communication can work
and I think we’re doing it well in our hybrid structure

Rimini Street expands support services to Workday
Victoria Durgin
Third-party support and services provider Rimini Street recently announced a new capability that expands the company’s solutions into the Workday ecosystem
and Executive Vice President of Global Transformation
sat down with Channel Insider to explain how the company partners with leading enterprise vendors and why adding Workday benefits existing and new customers
This announcement marks Rimini Street’s recent recognition as a Workday Application Management Services (AMS) Partner
The designation has fueled the new Rimini Manage™ for Workday services offering
enterprise IT teams using Workday Financials
“As a global company that also leverages Workday solutions
Rimini Street is pleased to offer other organizations our ultra-responsive
providing an alternative to the complexities of directly managing Workday-knowledgeable staff
delivering significant cost efficiencies and greater operational leverage from their Workday investment,” said Seth Ravin
“Today we serve more than 300 clients who also leverage Workday
and have helped Workday customers with a variety of needs
With the launch of Rimini Manage for Workday
clients can achieve better business results with their Workday investments.”
Rowe said the company targeted Workday partly because many of its customers have already migrated to the popular HR platform
Rimini Street saw an opportunity to add new service lines for customers with Workday on their transformation roadmap
and then we can manage and optimize their software so they can focus on other goals,” Rowe said
Rimini Street is now positioned to support the more than 1 million enterprises worldwide that rely on SAP
in addition to the new Workday offering and various other SaaS solutions
The company’s Smart Path process addresses similar challenges across the ecosystems of those large vendors.
Rimini Street supports clients in their end-to-end needs
“The age of monolithic ERP from a single vendor is over
The reality is that it is much more plug-and-play from various vendors and tools today,” Rowe said
“The big players can’t get value out quick enough
and businesses are much more likely to take advantage of integrations and connections today.”
Rowe says the company does not belong to large partner program groups or participate in reseller incentive programs
leaving Rimini Street available to provide advisory services to organizations
“We sit on the side of the customer more than anything
and that means we can help them with vendor-agnostic solutions that address their challenges with the technology they already have,” Rowe said
Rimini Street’s foundational mission is to enable organizations to get more out of their existing tooling and budgets and then help them re-allocate those resources to fuel innovation and drive growth
“The goal is to help make the CIO and their team heroes,” Rowe said
“CIOs we talk to have a laundry list of projects the business wants
We want to give them back time and money so they can innovate and tackle that list.”

“We concentrated on producing KB998 Rimini customer machines following the creation of the race versions for BbKRT to campaign in WorldSBK
The same people who crafted the race bikes are also responsible for the manufacture of customer machines
Each example of the KB998 available at a bimota dealership has been hand made in our Rimini workshop
and each is the product of just one technician from the start to the end of the build process
We remain true to the bimota philosophy of innovation and hand-crafted quality which our customers expect from such exquisite machines and look forward to the reactions of the initial clients in April
With a production plan focussed on creating units to satisfy customer demand
activity in Rimini has been exceptional as explained by bimota’s Marketing Manager
“Interest was already intense after EICMA but the WorldSBK activities of BbKRT have taken global awareness to another level
we have developed robust back-office systems offering the best level of support and information to our growing dealer family
The demand for wholesale units is a welcome challenge and we are packing machines in readiness for imminent despatch
We relish this new era for the revered Italian motorcycle brand that we are the custodians of”
Note: *The KB998 Rimini has not been homologated for public road use within Europe

I see headlights. Therefore, multiple owners WILL be taking that fantastic bike onto the streets and, of course, having a total blast.
I'm going to copy/paste this photo. That looks like Sander Donkers in the pit. Sander used to work for Tech3 but is now with this team. Cool!! Too bad we can't get the bike....
Geez, a hint about the price would be nice! I understand your allegiance to KRT and not to your Customers, but, you couldn't say that it'll be a choice between this or that, or it'll be similar to buying three GSX-R's, etc.? Or, tell us where to go for pricing info, or when you'll have more details. In the "information age" I find it troubling how little information we are given!
Do you remember the 1983 Honda VF750F Interceptor, or the 1987 Honda CBR600F? The amount of information put out was overwhelming. It was awesome! Manufacturers were visably proud of their hardware and wanted to share it with the world.

Historians note the play was quite popular at the theaters in Helena when Rimini
and the name choice for the bustling mining camp won out over Lee Mountain
Like many of Western Montana's early settlements
Rimini sprang up for the rich ores found beneath the surface. Gold discoveries brought many settlers to Montana

It's estimated that over $700,000,000 in ores were extracted in the Rimini area

Travellers have flocked to Rimini for its impressive 10-mile strip of sand since the 19th century, but inland is where you'll find the city's true soul.
The private beach club where 41-year-old Bakary works is one of scores that share Rimini’s 10-mile-long lungomare (seafront). The aesthetic may not be to everyone’s liking; from a distance, the columns of kaleidoscopic parasols look like a kitsch military rally. But for the price of a rented sunlounger, beach-goers get cleanliness, showers and changing rooms, drinks and dishes delivered to their laps, and the reassurance of lifeguards like Bakary.
“This,” he tells me, swinging his arm in a wide arc, “is the very best beach in Italy.” The Italians themselves certainly think so, descending en masse to this wind-freshened fringe of Emilia-Romagna as the sapping heat of July and August tightens its grip on the peninsula. But like many Riminesi, Bakary is eager to stress that this is more than simply a resort town. And the message, he says, is getting through. “These days, people come for the beach — then they discover Rimini.”
The richness of the Roman legacy has created challenges for urban developers over the decades. “This is a city with what we call high ‘archaeological risk’. You can’t make any sort of hole in the ground without someone watching,” says Monia, as we join the arrow-straight Corso d’Augusto — ancient Rimini’s principal thoroughfare, now energised with cafes and boutiques.

Bimota officially revealed the KB998 Rimini
the production version of its Kawasaki-powered World Superbike race machine
but Bimota will be doing just the bare minimum to comply with FIM homologation rules
and a grand total of 500 units by the end of 2026
technically correct is the best kind of correct
then the KB998 Rimini will be allowed to race
The KB998 is powered by the same 998cc Inline-Four engine as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR
with Bimota claiming 197 hp at 13,600 rpm and 81.9 lb-ft
consisting of an oval section steel trellis and billet aluminum alloy side plates
Showa provides its Balance Free Front Fork
Bimota did not identify what the rear suspension is
but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Showa BFRC similar to the one on the Ninja
The braking components were also not identified
the front wheel appears to use dual Brembo Stylemas similar to the ones on the ZX-10RR
the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team is hard at work analyzing the data from the recent WSBK tests at Jerez
The KB998 superbike did pretty well in the hands of riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani
with the team claiming the second and third best lap time of the teams participating in the test
A second test was scheduled for Aragon in late October
but heavy rain prevented them from making any progress
