Email us at ign_india@ign.com just as fans were starting to lose hope of another season It might not be as eye-catching or popular as fellow shonen hits like Bleach or Dragon Ball or isekai anime like That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime or Re: Zero- Starting Life In Another World but it does hit a specific niche that seems vocal and supportive enough to warrant new seasons as available During a special event dubbed the "Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Anime Special Event Devil's Party!" it was revealed that the series would be getting a new season of the anime this season will be adapting the Music Festival Arc considering we see largely background Misfit Class member standing in the background holding a trumpet this arc holds some pretty significant things like pushing forward Amelie and Iruma's relationship Based on Osamu Nishi's manga of the same name and produced by Bandai Namco Pictures a young boy forced to work tirelessly to get by as his parents are basically good-for-nothings he's actually treated like a grandson to Sullivan and enrolled in school in the demon realm where he resides within the manor owned by Sullivan The series is full of Iruma making friends and hiding the fact he's a human living amongst demons under the fear they will eat him looming overhead is something bigger that Sullivan refuses to explain The series first kicked off in 2019 on NHK Educational Said dub features anime dubbing vets like Laura Stahl it's still unclear when the next season will head our way but we suspect it won't be until mid-2025 with an English dub airing alongside Below you can find the promo poster released to celebrate the new season's reveal alongside the official synopsis his doting owner and self-appointed “Grandpa” is the chair-demon at his new school Iruma’s innate kindness begins to win over enemies a kind-hearted 14-year-old boy whose parents sell him to demons for their own selfish interests the demon he is sold to has no grandson of his own so he dotes on Iruma and sends him to demon school Nishi launched the manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in March 2017 Sources: Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun anime's X/Twitter account, Comic Natalie The anime adaptation of Osamu Nishi’s Welcome to Demon School! he’s enjoying as many rides as he can without getting tired bumps into Iruma’s team (supervised by Balam) he joins them Ronove is the son of the owner of the park and he has quite the peculiar personality—he’s an exuberant demon who enjoys talking in third person Iruma seems to be the only one to be able to follow Ronnie’s enthusiasm… at least until he gets lost Walter Park was originally a place where demons went to ride out their evil cycle and although it’s now a pretty safe place there are still some areas that could be considered dangerous as ‘black market’ deals still happen Now back to the ‘light’ and fun area of the park and it’s only thanks to this unknown demon that he’s able to reunite with his friends until a few sudden explosions make three gigantic the magical beasts show up where the three groups of students are he notices that some demon children are left behind in the rubble While the adult demons only think to save themselves Iruma doesn’t hesitate to go for the children thus making his group members collaborate to fight the beast The group led by Opera instead is full of the female demons from the Misfit class Opera fights the beast to let the others escape The group led by Professor Kalego has to deal with their beast on their own; Kalego won’t waste this opportunity to let his students learn by fighting the beast themselves the readers now know that Iruma can’t ever enjoy a peaceful event And although it is shown to the readers who the culprits are and why the attack on Walter Park happened there is a prison whose prisoners’ work supplies magical power for the attractions above and someone from Iruma’s past who’s been imprisoned there has a plan to escape The readers keep being omniscient while Iruma and his people get hints of the culprits and what’s behind the terror attack it’s not enough for them to have the full picture We know that something else is bound to happen These two volumes also show quite a development for Iruma’s and his classmates but we are finally shown how much when she gives her all to fight the demonic beast Asmodeus and Sabnock also team up for the first time to fight the beast while Iruma saves the children The two of them have quite different personalities but it’s thanks to this fight that we find out the depth of the Misfit Class camaraderie The team led by Professor Kalego instead is basically on its own the students have to figure out how to deal with the beast on their own Thankfully they are all smart enough to figure out their strengths and how to combine them to fight… otherwise the series might have changed genre due to the passing of its students While there has always been some sort of fighting in the previous volumes it’s with Volumes 9 and 10 that we see proper fight scenes for the first time I think this it will be a growing point for the students to allow them to become even stronger for what is yet to come the scenes don’t turn bloody or gory but keep that ‘light’ and fun theme that we have encountered so far The narration is smooth and keeps to the comedy aspect both shown through the characters’ personalities and the story It’s published in the English language by Kodansha with a translation by Jacqueline Fung and Volume 11 is slated for release in December Our review copies from Kodansha were supplied by Turnaround Publisher Services Number 1 fan of Solo Leveling who also happen to be a self-proclaimed bookworm with a special love for manga and YA I'm currently obsessed with Korean webtoons Iruma is a 14-year-old human who is sold to a demon and forced to attend demon school Can he survive the next few years and find himself Iruma’s first Battler Party turned out to be disastrous but with his family and friends he can move forward and show everyone what the Magical Apparatus Research Battler is capable of Iruma has to deal with the mystery shrouding his ring and clear the cross-dressing misunderstanding with Ameri before the situation degenerates It’s time for the mid-term exams and the students of the Misfit Class need to study hard if they don’t want to lose their demon ranks Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid returns for its second season pitting Tohru and Kobayashi against new dragon Ilulu Meanwhile we dig more into Tohru and Elma’s past while Kanna makes a new friend in New York Having been established since February 2004 Anime UK News is constantly striving to deliver high quality UK anime news and reviews to your computer screens each and every day being sure to maintain high standards of writing and reliability Designed and maintained by devoted anime fans Anime UK News and it’s fledgling forum community is growing with each passing month proving we are an ambitious and trusted resource for UK-based anime fans and beyond Keep reading to find out more…More Here! » The manga will appear on the issue's cover and will have a 54-page first chapter with a color opening page ⋆⁺₊✧꒰ঌすごくうれしいお知らせ໒꒱✩₊˚.⋆来週(9/9)発売の週刊少年ジャンプ41号からの新連載、「魔男のイチ」の作画を担当します!原作は西修先生(@osamun24 )です👿🐱とっても楽しい漫画です!!来週をお楽しみに🎶🪄 pic.twitter.com/f6TWaR0l3Y The magazine describes the manga as a "magical hunting fantasy." Sources: Weekly Shonen Jump issue 40, Shiro Usazaki's Twitter account fans can check out a new promotional image a 14-year-old human boy who is sold to a demon by his parents takes Iruma to the Demon World and officially adopts him as his grandson He enrolls Iruma at the Babyls School for Demons where his position is that of director and where Iruma quickly befriends the demons Alice Asmodeus and Clara Valac Sullivan tells Iruma to never reveal that he is human as he will be eaten if discovered Iruma then promises to blend in during his time in the demon world although he stands out because of all the situations and adventures that arise The first season premiered in October 2019 on NHK Educational and had 23 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan under the English title Welcome to Demon School, Iruma- kun Finally, Osamu Nishi launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Champion in March 2017 in January 2020 the first 15 volumes of the manga had more than 2.5 million copies in circulation Source: Official Website All images on this site belong to their respective owners After being promoted to rank Gimel during the Battler Party showcase Iruma finds out that his Gluttonous Feeder Ring can manifest as an entity outside the ring cannot remember much about his time in the ring and Iruma is the only one who knows about his existence No one else believes that a ring can manifest itself into a being that can talk Now Iruma needs to figure out who or what Ali really is he has another big problem to deal with… student council president Ameri bumps into Iruma when he’s practicing magic under the guidance of Ali and he finds himself in a dress as a dem-dol (or idol) While trying to clear up the misunderstanding Iruma ends up temporarily joining the student council and working alongside Ameri When another student decides to mess with her and change her personality Iruma engages the help of his trusty friends another person gets his personality switched… Iruma himself To try and help him understand what Ameri went through Ali decides to hypnotise Iruma and make him go through what the demons call an evil phase and this new Iruma brings forth the mighty power of the Misfit Class when he makes a deal with his teacher Kalego Sensei the misfit class will move classroom to the Royal One—the classroom that the Demon King used Now the next challenge for the Misfit Class is to pass their mid-terms exams Iruma-kun is full of comedy that brings laughter to its readers Iruma’s goal to live a quiet life away from the spotlight always makes him the centre of attention everyone always ends up knowing his name—for good or for worse While in previous volumes parts of the narrative could be considered side stories as they didn’t add to the main narration both Volumes 6 and 7 move the plot forward a lot Iruma now has to deal with the consequences of being a rank Gimel Ali can become his strongest ally or his enemy… who knows what this creature really is Ali doesn’t seem to have negative feelings toward Iruma but Iruma’s climb through the demon ranks affects Ali And the re-opening of the Royal One classroom is sure to bring more mayhem into the life of the only human living in the Demon World Volume 7 was fun to read as we get to see a different Iruma While he keeps his inability to say no and willingness to help others this ‘evil’ Iruma is more confident and knows what he wants And he’s certainly not happy being a doormat—he won’t let the other students disrespect the misfit class anymore I’m glad though that this new personality is not set to last forever The naive and sweet Iruma is the trigger for all the hilarious situations he and his friends find themselves in he’s getting used to life in the Demon World and as a pretend-demon student and I wouldn’t be surprised if he reached the top but I wonder if reaching the top will become Iruma’s ambition we also get introduced to a few more characters It doesn’t seem like they will have a main role in the story Iruma-Kun is written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi with the first three seasons available on Crunchyroll The manga is published in the English edition with a translation by Jacqueline Fung by Vertical (Kodansha) Our review copies from Vertical Comics were supplied by Turnaround Publisher Services It’s finally time for the Battler Party and Iruma and his friends can showcase what they have been working on their battler president has some nefarious plans in place for the party and it’s up to Iruma to stop him It’s time for the Misfit Class to finally enjoy their well-deserved summer vacation before the semester starts and Mr reached an impressive 16 million copies in circulation an unlucky young man who was sold by his parents to a demon Iruma is surprised to be adopted as the grandson of this demon is the principal of a school in the underworld Iruma must adapt to his new school environment while trying to keep his true human nature a secret charismatic characters and a story that keeps us hooked from beginning to end The anime has three seasons available on Crunchyroll “Mairimashita Iruma-kun” continues to win fans around the world and we at AnimeNew couldn't be happier with the success of this enchanting work now is the perfect time to venture into the world of Iruma and his demonic friends Source: X (mogura) promising to get a good laugh from those who already follow the main series This manga is created by Tsudanuma Atsushi and Koneshima and takes place in the same world as the main story The YouTube/NicoNico Douga group “○○ no Shuyaku wa Wareware da!” is developing the spin-off collaboratively if you're a fan of Iruma-kun and are looking for a light read full of jokes Source: x (@mangamogura) Iruma is the only human in the demon world and he needs to keep his existence a secret If anyone finds out that he’s a human being after befriending demons Asmodeus and Clara all three have joined the Magical Apparatus Research Battler (aka school club) and now it’s time for the Battler Party (aka school festival) Iruma and his friends are aiming for first place in the festival as there are prizes to be won for the best performances get one step closer to his goal of showing that ranks aren’t everything and Kiriwo has seen this all his life as he has little magical power there is a more sinister goal in Kiriwo’s mind When it’s time to showcase the Magical Apparatus Research’s creation The only one unaffected is Iruma and it’s up to him to save his classmates and the rest of the students before Kiriwo’s plan brings chaos to all of the demon world Every time I open a new volume in this series I can’t stop smiling from page one until the end and his actions are both brave and hilarious he can access his grandfather’s – Babyls’ headmaster’s – power We still don’t know much about the ring: what it is or why it ended up with Iruma I’m sure it’s going to play an important role in Iruma’s school life and I’m also sure it will bring chaos in his life although Iruma doesn’t see him as one As a demon with very little power and a twisted personality it was easy for Kiriwo to fall for the plans of a group that are striving to bring the demon world back to the way it was in the past: a ruthless place with no ranking where the strong survive and the weak are killed so we know the plans of both the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ demons and we can foreshadow how the story will develop – more or less Asmodeus and Clara are supporting Iruma in all his endeavours They are there to back him up in all his endeavours and it’s quite a nice change of scenery for Iruma Iruma’s the weakest in terms of magical power (unless we count the power stored in the ring) but his willingness to move forward attracts demons who end up helping him succeed Let’s also not forget how headstrong Iruma is After having had to fend for himself while on Earth and also not giving way to despair during difficult situations we got brief introductions to Iruma’s classmates in the Misfit Class – you can imagine the demons in it just by the name of the classroom – but other than Asmodeus and Clara there hasn’t been much interaction with them yet We are only at the beginning of Iruma’s school life and I can’t help but wonder what and who else he’ll have to face to find his place we’ll also get to see more of his other classmates in future volumes and find out how their relationships develops The mangaka and the publisher treat us to a few full-colour illustrations of Iruma and Kiriwo at the beginning of the manga followed by a summary and a brief introduction to the main characters in this volume we can see a few amusing 4-panel short stories They are followed by a glossary about the demon names of the volume’s new characters and some anecdotes in the original Japanese text that got lost during translation as the English language doesn’t have that terminology Iruma-kun is written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi Volume 5 is slated for release in December 2023 Our review copy from Kodansha Comics was supplied by Turnaround Publisher Services It’s time for Iruma to face the ranking exams and decide if it’s worth going back to the human world with his parents throwing him into dangerous situations since he was a one-year-old and learned how to walk Their careless attitude has shaped Iruma to be a person who is incapable of refusing to help anyone Not even his parents’ last endeavour that ended up with them selling Iruma to a demon could make him say ‘no’ Iruma is astounded by the demon Sullivan’s request for him to be his grandchild Neither does he expect to have to attend the demon school Babyls where his new grandfather is the chair-demon Iruma is thrown into one weird situation after another: making the school entrance speech instead of the top scorer of his year and then getting said demon as his underling Or having his teacher turn into his familiar Iruma has to keep it a secret that he’s human unless he wants to be eaten by his new classmates We are in for a wild ride full of crazy adventures and laughter For those of us who have already watched the anime of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun, we can finally celebrate the release of the manga in the English language The story of Iruma and the whole misfit class will bring a smile to readers’ faces and make them cheer for the sweet and naïve Iruma I couldn’t stop smiling from page one of the manga until I reached the end His parents’ behaviour is not acceptable by any means They are negligent and shouldn’t have done what they did to Iruma At least until he’s thrown into Sullivan and his servant Opera’s company Here he’s spoiled with so much affection Clara and Asmodeus are my favourite characters (not counting Iruma They have completely different personalities but they can’t help vibing with Iruma It isn’t as instantaneous for Asmodeus as it is for Clara it’s not hard imagining they’ll soon be thick as thieves Asmodeus came to demon school determined to be the best he doesn’t like the fact that a nobody took his place in the entrance ceremony after a fight with Iruma makes Asmodeus (or Azz to his friends) re-evaluate his views his attitude turns to that of a loyal servant I wonder how that will impact both Iruma and Azz’s personal growth She has an outgoing personality and always wants to play Some demons stay as far away as they can from her while others take advantage of her bloodline’s special ability Iruma doesn’t like the other demons taking advantage of her and soon takes her under his wing And let’s not forget about the instructor of the misfit class Iruma’s and Clara’s personalities are what he hates the most but there is nothing that he can do about it so although he would love to see them expelled he won’t go out of his way to make it so He believes that they’ll be able to get themselves expelled on their own Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun was quite a change for me. After reading so many manhwa where the tropes and even the art are different, it was nice to go back to reading manga. The illustrations are in black and white, with a couple of introductory pages in full colour. The comedy style of this series is similar to A Terrified Teacher At Ghoul School and Mashle so you know you’re in for a load of laughs The only slight negative point for this volume for me is the last page of the manga There’s no preview of what’s going to happen in Volume 2 – and there’s an advert for a Junji Ito manga Iruma-Kun is a comedy manga geared to a younger audience while Junji Ito’s volumes are horror The first three seasons of the anime are available on Crunchyroll while Volume 2 of the manga is slated for release in June 2023 Iruma-Kun by Osamu Nishi is published in the English language by Kodansha as a Vertical Book with a translation by Jacqueline Fung Our review copy from Kodansha (VERTICAL Books) was supplied by the publisher and Turnaround Comics Iruma’s trip to the amusement park turns into a survival test when the park is attacked by demon terrorists proving we are an ambitious and trusted resource for UK-based anime fans and beyond!
