specialized trading company before joining Hitachi Energy in Japan in February 2021 as a member of the order handling team I had wanted to work for a foreign company at least once but I had concerns about switching jobs from a Japanese company Back then Hitachi Energy was a joint venture between a foreign company headquartered in Switzerland and Hitachi domestic and international transportation arrangements It seems like a job that requires little socialization It involves a great deal of interaction with people—sales representatives from various departments One of the things I love about working at Hitachi Energy is the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds I am often required to communicate with people from overseas group companies and it’s exciting to be in an environment where I am exposed to values and ways of thinking that are different from mine I am currently involved in an internal core system migration project as part of an integration project into the Hitachi Group I have no experience with the system itself and there are many things I don't understand I am managing to move forward with the project My supervisor and the global team always encourage me to ask when I don't understand which gives me a newfound confidence in asking questions I was surprised at first that my line of work is male-dominated The company provides an environment where employees can develop their careers while maintaining their private lives Even though I sometimes feel busy with various overlapping tasks The company encourages employees to take vacations and my supervisor is always concerned about it Hitachi Energy is currently in a transitional stage where the two corporate cultures merge I hope that the good aspects of each will remain I look forward to seeing what we will become in a few years Variety: Shidarezakura (Cerasus spachiana f Fukushima Prefecture 963-7714Trunk circumference: 7.9 m; height: 19 m; age: 1,000 yearsDesignated a national natural monumentSize ★★★★★Vigor ★★★★Shape ★★★★★Crown spread ★★★★Grandeur ★★★★★ the small town of Miharu in central Fukushima Prefecture puts on a spectacular flowering display as plum and cherry blossoms burst into bloom all at once—the town’s name which means “three springs,” is said to derive from this trio of blossoms Standing out amid this flurry of flowers is the millennium-old Takizakura which together with the Usuzumizakura in Gifu Prefecture and Jindaizakura in Yamanashi Prefecture make up the “three great cherry trees” of Japan True to its title as the largest specimen of shidarezakura the Takizakura—literally “waterfall cherry”—features broad branches and light pink blossoms that appear to flow earthward This particularly beautiful feature has along with its age made the tree legendary among sakura lovers and each year in mid-April more than 200,000 people come to enjoy the blossoms The tree is spectacular during the daytime hours but those who make the trek to see the Takizakura lit up at night are treated to a different The Takizakura sits in what is known as sakura hollow an area that affords shelter from strong winds while providing excellent drainage The tree is ringed by a footpath allowing visitors to enjoy the blooms from every angle the general consensus is that the uphill view of the elegantly flowing branches of the sakura is the best The ancient tree has weathered tribulations during its lifetime most recently losing several limbs during a typhoon in 2002 and a snowstorm in 2005 the damage was not extensive enough to permanently mar the breathtaking beauty of the Takizakura Visitors to Miharu can also enjoy the town’s 10,000 other cherry trees 2,000 of which are shidarezakura said to be descendents of the Takizakura Miharu’s numerous weeping cherries are in fact its second biggest claim to fame earning it in 1990 the title of one of Japan’s 100 most famous hanami spots Despite abundant opportunites for blossom viewing many tours only make a stop at the Takizakura a regretable situation considering the profusion of blossoms that blanket the town each spring own shares in or receive funding from any company or partners It’s 2019 and for many, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster has become a distant memory. In the West, the event is considered to be over Safety standards have been audited and concerns about the sector’s security and viability officially addressed It reminds us of our fragility in the face of overpowering natural forces tens of thousands of people were forced from their homes The country’s nuclear power plants were temporarily shut down and fossil fuel consumption rose sharply to compensate There’s also much work that remains to be done. Dismantling and decontamination will take several decades and many unprecedented challenges remain Radioactivity measurements on site cannot be ignored and are a cause for concern for the more than 6,000 people working there the risk of radiation may be secondary given the ongoing risk of earthquakes and tsunamis for many Japanese the disaster has a different connotation – it’s seen as having launched a renaissance Our research team became aware of the need to re-evaluate our ideas about the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster during a visit in March 2017 we discovered a hive of activity – a place where a new relationship between man The environment is completely artificial: all vegetation has been eradicated and the neighbouring hills are covered by concrete at the heart of this otherworldly landscape there are cherry trees – and they were in full bloom we asked the engineer who accompanied us why they were still there even though they block access routes for decontamination equipment where more than 60 buildings from the Meiji era (1868-1912) have been relocated The idea of ongoing reinvention is manifested in buildings that have retained their original function: visitors can send a postcard from a 1909 post office or ride on an 1897 steam locomotive We can better understand the relationship between this perception of time and events at Fukushima Daiichi by revisiting the origins of the country’s nuclear-power industry The first facility was a British Magnox reactor construction of the country’s first boiling-water reactor was supervised by the US firm General Electric nuclear power is a technology that comes from elsewhere When the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami struck in 2011 Japan’s inability to cope with the unfolding events at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant stunned the world for the Japanese it is the nation’s soul that must be resuscitated Not by the rehabilitation of a defective “foreign” object Such symbolism not only refers to the work being carried out by the plant’s operator Since 2012, the Japanese public media organisation NHK has organised the “Fukushima cherry tree” photo competition to symbolise national reconstruction. Yumiko Nishimoto’s “Sakura Project” has the same ambition Nishimoto lived in the nearby town of Naraha Her family was evacuated and she was only able to return in 2013 she launched a national appeal for donations to plant 20,000 cherry trees along the prefecture’s 200-kilometre coastline The aim of the 10-year project is simply to restore hope among the population and the “determination to create a community” The idea captured the country’s imagination and approximately a thousand volunteers turned up to plant the first trees More recently, the “Miharu Takizakura” cherry tree has made headlines. More than 1,000 years old and growing in land contaminated by the accident, its presence is seen as a miracle and it attracts tens of thousands of visitors. The same sentiment is embodied in the Olympic torch relay which will start from Fukushima on March 26 for a 121-day trip around Japanese prefectures during the cherry-blossom season This distinctly Japanese perception of Fukushima contrasts with its interpretation by the West and suggests that we re-examine the links between Fukushima and Chernobyl Many saw the Fukushima disaster as Chernobyl’s twin – another example of the radioactive “evil” a product of the industrial hubris that had dug the grave of the Soviet Union In 1986 the fatally damaged Chernobyl reactor was encased in a sarcophagus and the surrounding area declared a no-go zone. Intended as a temporary structure, in 2017 the sarcophagus was in turn covered by the “New Safe Confinement” a monumental structure designed to keep the site safe for 100 years This coffin in a desert continues to terrify a population that is regularly told that it marks the dawn of a new era for safety The same applies to the nuclear sector as a whole where business has resumed more or less as usual The country is improving compliance with international regulations and increased its contribution to the IAEA’s work on earthquake response But this Western idea of linear time is at odds with the country’s own understanding of the disaster’s framework While Chernobyl accelerated the collapse of the Soviet Union, Fukushima Daiichi has become a showcase for the Japanese government. The idea of ongoing reinvention extends to the entire region, through a policy of repopulation. Although highly controversial this approach stands in stark contrast to Chernobyl Other differences are seen in the reasons given for the causes of the accident: The IAEA concluded that the event was due to a lack of safety culture – in other words organisational failings led to a series of unavoidable effects that could have been predicted – while Japanese scientists either drew an analogy with events that occurred during the Second World War or attributed the accident to the characteristics of the Japanese people Before one dismisses such conclusions as irrational it’s essential to think again about the meaning of the Fukushima disaster This article was originally published in French She was the firstborn of Carmen & Mary Scalzo who operated a small dairy farm she attended Fullerton Junior College for two years while also working at Disneyland WI to complete her Dental Hygiene degree at Marquette University At a live music event during her senior year Paul F Durand who played trombone in the band they moved to Shell Beach where Paul attended Cal Poly University Patricia worked as a dental hygienist in Santa Maria before giving birth to their first child they relocated to Diamond Bar where Paul and Patrick were born 17 months apart Patricia started what would become a 20+ year career as a dental hygienist with Dr Wm Elbert Paul and Patricia built their dream home on 120 wooded acres in the Blue Hills east of Rice Lake and embraced their new country life with gardening Paul died unexpectedly only two years later leaving Patricia a single parent of Michelle Patricia continued her work as a dental hygienist while raising her three children in their country home She rekindled her love of education; A series based on diplomatic documents declassified by Japan’s Foreign Ministry Here is a collection of first-hand accounts by “hibakusha” atomic bomb survivors chefs and others involved in the field of food introduce their special recipes intertwined with their paths in life A series about Japanese-Americans and their memories of World War II In-house News and Messages No reproduction or republication without written permission Hashimoto Shōichi is the twenty-first head of Honke Daikokuya one of the establishments in the Takashiba Deko Yashiki group of craft-making companies in the hills on the outskirts of Kōriyama Here he works with washi paper to create hariko traditional papier-mâché dolls and other figures so it allows me to create hariko of any shape or size that opens the door to infinite possibilities for creative expression.” Hashimoto Shōichi holding a Miharu-hariko daruma doll Four workshops in the Takashiba district of Kōriyama have been in operation for over three hundred years This was once part of the domain of the former Miharu clan of Fukushima Prefecture providing the names for their wares: the Miharu-hariko figures and Miharuoma horses The first dolls in Japanese history were clay dogu and figures fashioned from wood called deku or mokugū The pronunciation of deku morphed into deko the “Takashiba doll houses,” which sell hariko crafts are a tourist attraction in their own right hariko became popular as toys and lucky charms,” explains Hashimoto “Peddlers sold hariko dolls all over the Tōhoku region and even as far south as Edo The Deko Yashiki Daikokuya Product Hall is the gateway to the Takashiba Deko Yashiki complex The Oichi-chaya structure to the right is a combined rest stop and lunchroom Exterior view of the Honke Daikokuya workshop The gray-roofed building to the left is a restored traditional farmhouse where Hashimoto exhibits his works Hariko figures are made by patting wetted washi onto wooden forms after which glue is applied and the forms are left to dry the wooden form is extracted through a cut in the figure an adhesive made by boiling fish or animal skins and bones The whole is then given a base coat of gofun before the final touch—the addition of a hand-painted design and masks have been handed down over generations at each Deko Yashiki workshop Wooden forms for a hyottoko mask a humorous depiction of a man sometimes used in dances at local festivals are brushed with oil to make the dried washi easier to remove Torn pieces of wet washi are pressed firmly onto a wooden form The forms are given a wash of gofun Eto figures for the Year of the Rat are shown here drying on a bamboo basket representing a rice bale The multiple layers of washi used for hariko-making afford a high degree of flexibility and allow the creation of elegant forms. The most common hariko figures are the 12 eto creatures of the Chinese astrological calendar representing parents’ hopes that their children grow strong and resilient tora figures were often displayed outside the homes of families with sons sent to war as a wish for their safe return just as the tiger always returns to its den after going far away to hunt The Takashiba Deko Yashiko is also a renowned producer of Miharu-goma wooden figures that come in either black or white The black koma represents the wish to be blessed with children or is a prayer for children’s health while the white one is a wish for longevity and security in old age Flexible washi lends itself to creating the dynamic The crisp angular lines of Miharu-goma horses contrast with the rounded forms of hariko A Miharu-goma was featured on the New Year stamp for the 1954 Year of the Horse The work of hariko-making consists of three steps: pasting washi onto wooden forms Hashimoto acts as his own salesperson and needs to wait on customers so his workspace occupies one corner of the sales floor The Takashiba area has long been a popular tourist spot and tends to attract many visitors on weekends and over the yearend and New Year holiday which keeps Hashimoto busy in the shop selling the eto and daruma good-luck charms that he makes Hashimoto recalls that until his parents’ generation hariko-making was a side business for farmers “My parents were really hard workers always busy out in the fields or making hariko But since they were so occupied all the time as a child I felt starved for attention and I had no desire to follow in their footsteps.” Hashimoto attended a fine arts university and became a high school art teacher but had to leave the job after six years to take over the family trade when his father fell ill Hashimoto’s creations are on display at the Honke Daikokuya atelier Hashimoto in a corner of his shop painting a design onto a Miharu-goma figure but he has long believed that the possibilities for hariko are infinite earthquake and tsunami disaster provided a major impetus for him to branch out in new directions Situated about 50 kilometers inland from the coast Takashiba was not harmed by the tsunami; the district is also on solid ground and the earthquake caused elatively little shaking or damage there which suffered reactor core meltdowns in the disaster and in the days immediately after the earthquake Hashimoto worried that he might have to evacuate Even though life in Takashiba continued relatively normally with electricity and running water available as usual Hashimoto stopped working for a time but eventually started up again motivated by the desire to help the affected Tōhoku region get back on its feet which represents picking oneself up after the ups and downs of life he decided to adopt the daruma as the symbol of the region’s reconstruction and revival efforts After locating a suitable wooden form in his storehouse Hashimoto got to work creating a “Pray for Reconstruction” daruma Compared to the typical round daruma shape Miharu-daruma are elongated and feature a red face and eyes flashing in a piercing stare to fund-raisers and events all over Japan to sell Tōhoku products He invited people to write messages of encouragement onto the body of the daruma an idea that received considerable media attention The “Pray for Reconstruction” daruma covered in messages praying for the revival of the devastated Tōhoku region Hashimoto’s activities for supporting Tōhoku brought him into contact with people outside the traditional craft world One of these was former Japan national soccer team player Nakata Hidetoshi who spearheaded the Revalue Nippon Project to promote and encourage the development of traditional crafts founder of the A Bathing Ape apparel brand and worked with renowned interior designer Katayama Masamichi to create a 2.4-meter-long hariko polar bear The scale of this gigantic figure was unlike anything that Hashimoto had ever attempted before but he said that the hardest part of the job was creating realistic-looking fur He succeeded by feathering the washi fibers to make them look like fur His creation became the most-featured item in the project The polar bear hariko exhibited at the Take Action Charity Gala 2011 The washi is feathered to create realistic-looking fur East Japan Project led by Kuma Kengo the architect who designed Tokyo’s new National Stadium Hashimoto was put in charge of designing a pen channeling two Fukushima folk toys Hariko-making skills are being passed on in many parts of Japan is the dearth of artisans who can make the wooden forms for the hariko who grew up watching his parents making hariko and who studied fine arts has been the ideal person to participate in Tōhoku support projects and take his traditional craft one step further Hashimoto created these folk-design inspired pens The koshidaka tora and the daruma Hashimoto created in 2016 in collaboration with fashion designer Koshino Junko are still sold at Honke Daikokuya having created hariko packaging for Cream Box sandwiches that looks exactly like the treats inside and has branched out into wearables like Deko Megane hariko eyewear and washi jewelry marketed under the Harico brand Adversity and opportunity are two sides of the same coin After the turmoil of the March 11 disaster Hashimoto went into action; his spirit of initiative led to many new connections and directions he is able to preserve tradition while creating something new Tiger figures by Koshino Junko sport distinctive zebra stripes This hariko packaging mimics the original Cream Box a popular local bread-based treat with a creamy filling the number of visitors to Takashiba Deko Yashiki has fallen by more than half As a former teacher who enjoyed interacting with students during hands-on hariko painting sessions Hashimoto is disappointed is that no organized school tours have been visiting Deko Yashiki at all over the past few years The Honke Daikokuya building is used for hands-on painting sessions by large groups But fewer school groups come through nowadays so the building is not used as often as before Fukushima’s farmers and fishers still labor under the stigma that their produce and catches are tainted I think it’s up to artisans like me to raise Fukushima’s profile and give it a more positive image Fukushima didn’t have much presence within Japan but now it’s known throughout the world and people everywhere are concerned about our welfare.” Hashimoto makes a point of traveling abroad exhibiting his works at promotional events for Japan He searches out local artisans around the world to compare notes with them and says he is genuinely surprised that so many people know Fukushima now He works hard to create a positive image for his home given that previous time and money spent on profile-raising activities by the prefecture and local tourism associations have produced little success Hashimoto dreams of holding a traditional Spanish celebration That festival consists of parading papier-mâché figures more than 10 meters tall through the city’s streets over five days a single figure is chosen as the grand prize winner and all the others are torched in a gigantic bonfire Obtaining information from Spanish artisans Hashimoto is working hard to bring the festival to Fukushima Hashimoto at the Fallas festival Hashimoto further describes his dream in these words “Fukushima is the home of some of Japan’s best-known hariko creations like the Aizu akabeko and the Shirakawa daruma I’d love to organize a festival where local artisans create huge papier-mâché figures and parade them around the prefecture an event that would culminate on the final day with a bonfire like Japan’s New Year dondo yaki bonfires A festival like that would really put Fukushima on the map It would also help draw attention to the traditional craft of hariko and encourage artisans to boost their skills.” and photos by Nippon.com except where otherwise noted.) Tokyo Fukushima Photo: Phubet Juntarungsee/Shutterstock The 6 greatest cherry blossom trees of Japan and where to see themThese majestic cherry blossom trees in Yamanashi Okayama and Gifu are a few hundred years old Cherry blossom season is just a few weeks away in Japan and anticipation for the annual explosion of pink is building the fleeting beauty of the blossoms serves as a reminder of the transience of life and the importance of appreciating each moment While there are countless cherry blossom viewing spots across Japan there are three sakura trees that are particularly revered for their history and cultural significance we’ll cover the three great cherry blossom trees of Japan and where you can find them as well as some special mentions that are worth the extra journey.  RECOMMENDED: The official 2025 Japan cherry blossom forecast is out now Photo: Chen Min Chu/ShutterstockThe Usuzumi Zakura tree in Gifu is famous for its unusually soft pink blossoms The tree blooms in early to mid-April and is a favourite among photographers What's more remarkable is that it's over 1,500 years old and believed to have been personally planted by Emperor Keitai (the 26th Emperor of Japan) in the year 467.  The Usuzumi Zakura tree is in Motosu's Usuzumi Park nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains near Tarumi Station the park hosts a sakura festival with various cherry blossom-inspired treats including cherry blossom senbei (rice crackers) and sakura mochi Photo: Chen Min Chun/ShutterstockThis rare weeping cherry blossom tree in Fukushima prefecture is estimated to be over 1,000 years old and is regarded as a national treasure. The Miharu Takizakura is particularly striking due to its size with a height of over 12 metres and a circumference of 9.5 metres The tree is also known for its cascading branches which create a stunning waterfall effect of pink blossoms during its peak bloom in mid to late April Photo: Chen Min Chun/ShutterstockFinally, there's the legendary Jindai Zakura on the grounds of the Jissoji Temple in Yamanashi prefecture the Jindai Zakura is considered to be the oldest living cherry blossom tree in Japan and With a name that loosely translates to 'as ancient as the age of mythology,' the Jindai Zakura stands tall at roughly ten metres and boasts a trunk circumference of around 12 metres this 2,000-year-old tree has been facing challenges in recent times and the remaining third produces very few blossoms efforts have been made to preserve this historic tree such as protecting the roots and introducing nutrient-rich soil allowing the Jindai Zakura to develop new roots and branches Photo: Makafushigi/ShutterstockWhy there are only 'three' great cherry trees we'll never know. Estimated to be over 1,000 years old, the Daigozakura tree is possibly Okayama prefecture's proudest natural wonder Rooted on a small hill in the rural Bessho district of Maniwa the tree stands at approximately 7 metres tall with a trunk circumference of 7.5 metres It's said to have survived numerous natural disasters further cementing its reputation as a symbol of resilience and strength Photo: Kento Kodama/ShutterstockThis famous Nara cherry tree is named after the painter Sakai Matabei, who first spotted the tree in the early 17th century. Located in Nara's agricultural Uda City, the Matabei Sakura tree is believed to be over 400 years old and is one of the oldest and largest cherry blossom trees in Japan This stunning tree stands at a height of over 13 metres with a trunk circumference of 8 metres. In spring the Matabei Sakura produces both single and double-flowered blossoms Photo: Chen Min Chun/ShutterstockThe 330-year-old Wanitsuka no Sakura found along the Kamanashi River in Nirasaki has one of the lushest sakura crowns we've seen but it's not just the ample cherry blossoms that make it so impressive you can see the towering volcano of Mt Fuji in the distance giving Wanitsuka the best backdrop of any other trees on this list.  Thanks for subscribing! Rio and Celia promise each other that they will have a long talk to make up for the time that they lost while they were apart. However, Aishia suddenly feels that something is about to happen and a few moments later several light beams appear around them.Ayase Miharu, who appeared in episode 1 Aisha begs Rio to save the people she saw in her vision He agrees and goes to the site only to find slave traders He defeats the slave traders and sets the people free his childhood friend when he was still living on Earth as Amakawa Haruto The season finale ends in somewhat of a cliffhanger, which is why I’m hoping it’ll get a season 2.Well, if the finale of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles also hyped you with the sudden turn of events, you can vote for the anime on our weekly poll if you enjoyed the anime from its first episode until the last you can vote for it as anime of the season in the next few days.SynopsisMeet Rio: a callous orphaned boy living in the slums he realizes he’s actually the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa While still reeling from this shocking epiphany Rio also comes to learn that he possesses extremely potent magical abilities and uses his new powers to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl and he’s rewarded by being enrolled into… a prestigious academy for noble children… Movie exclusive character Kamen Rider Aqua will be making a return in Kamen Rider Zi-O This Rider debuted in Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max serving as a hero of the future who overcomes his fears and helps OOO fight an enemy of his own creation This will be the first time that Aqua appears in the franchise since his movie debut Source: Twitter Copy editor for TokuNet. by The Yomiuri Shimbun Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker For an exorcist episode – and this was surely an exorcist episode if ever one existed – that worked pretty well for me The extremely rare dynamic of Natori and Matoba together made them more interesting than either of them is individually There was also a definite sense that hints were being dropped about Natsume’s connection to the Matoba clan though that might be me reading too much into things I still don’t like this side of the series as much as the other but it’s a part of the fabric of the story And necessary to move the plot along towards an eventual finale assuming Midorikawa-sensei ever decides to actually end the series Matoba makes a crack about how one should use the tools at their disposal This is obviously an old thing between the pair of them Objectively Natori is the more sympathetic of the two even if he tries to have it both ways with his vocation But I find Matoba to be the more interesting character Once more – and we see this a lot – the source of conflict and/or heartbreak is the gap in lifespan between youkai and humans One-eye is trying to destroy the Miharu clan When Masakiyo was the head of the clan he came to the mansion outside which she lived (this really is exorcist valley) and destroyed the powerful youkai attached to it stalking basically covers it) trying to get Masakiyo to tell her his wish so she could grant it He refused for years (maybe decades) but she finally overheard him say he wished the clan would disappear after he was forced to part ways with the woman he loved Matoba manages to get through the ceremony I found Bobozukin’s comment about the debt the Three Pillars owed the Miharu for “taking them in when they were starving” to be very intriguing but if we’re ever to hear more about that it’s to be on another day The implication here is that Natsume bears a burden too because of the rare power he possesses and that sooner or later he’s going to be forced to exercise it (no pun intended) maybe that will be at the heart of that mythical final arc because it highlighted the youkai side of the series the focus shifts away from Matoba and Natori to Natsume and the one-eyed spirit Although his actions save the Miharu house ceremony he doesn’t bring any powers to bear other than his ability to see youkai – and his empathy (Nyanko-sensei is characteristically unsympathetic to the damage this inflicts on him.) Natsume’s determination not to use his inherited powers – perhaps we’ll find more about them next week – and to destroy the Book of Friends a page at a time is one of his central ethical tenets and a root cause of his wariness around the exorcists Δdocument.getElementById( "ak_js_1" ).setAttribute( "value" Please consider becoming an LiA patron through one of the methods below A scene from "An Umbrella for Miharu," a Japanese independent film written directed -- and even subtitled -- by Yu Shibuya. (Courtesy of Yu Shibuya) tells American producers the budget of his upcoming feature film filmmaking is a whole other game," says Shibuya stage director and writer whose first feature film "An Umbrella for Miharu," just opened in Japan on Jan and the workers are protected all across the board it's customary for everyone to work for a fraction of the budget [and] double or more hours." By Yoshiharu Fujiwara / Yomiuri Shimbun Staff Writer Miharu Takizakura is one of Japan’s “three magnificent cherry trees.” Located in the town of Miharu in Fukushima Prefecture the tree is estimated to be over 1,000 years old “Takizakura” means “waterfall cherry tree,” apt nomenclature describing the tree’s drooping branches spreading out widely and the flower petals that look like a stream of water cascading down a waterfall When I walked under the massive tree in full bloom numerous branches and countless small blossoms filled my field of vision and I felt like I was bathing under a beautiful light pink waterfall That was early in April of 2018 and my first visit to the tree “You’re so lucky,” an acquaintance who took me to the tree said and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.” I wanted to see the spectacular view again this year but refrained due to the coronavirus pandemic I visited the Sato Sakura Museum in Meguro Ward as I had heard that six large paintings depicting Miharu Takizakura are on display in an exhibition titled “Sato Sakura: 100 Views of Sakura.” to my right was a folding screen with a painting that made the tree look as if it were floating in the night sky Myriad cherry blossom petals were depicted meticulously branches and ground were invisible in the darkness titled “Shunya Miharu no Takizakura” (Spring night a professor emeritus of Tokyo University of the Arts A remark by the artist is written on a note card: “The cherry blossoms were illuminated for nighttime viewing but the illumination was less bright than normal but it was a little dark for me to see and difficult to make a sketch.” A local group that works to preserve the tree asks that the intensity of the illumination be minimized Members clear weeds around the tree and dig holes in the ground to add compost “I used to play near Takizakura all year round when I was little,” said Fujio Hashimoto “I want to continue making efforts carefully to preserve the cherry tree but also for people who come from distant places to view its blossoms.” Miharu Takizakura was 11.65 meters tall in 1987 It steadily grew to 13 meters in 2000 and 13.5 meters in 2007 The circumference of the trunk at the base was 11.3 meters that year It is said that one reason why the tree is so huge is that a feudal lord ruling the area in the Edo period (1603-1867) enjoyed viewing its blossoms and ordered local residents to take care of it in exchange for exempting them from an annual land tax on the land surrounding the tree A Bon Festival dance song that has been handed down in the community for generations goes: “We can reach blossoms of Takizakura but we can’t break branches and take them away peach and plum seedlings along the roadside leading to the tree It is said that the name “Miharu,” which translates as “three springs,” comes from the fact that cherry peach and plum trees — all symbolic of spring — bloom at the same time in this town I stopped at a stall selling sweets associated with cherry blossoms and bought one with a cherry-flavored filling and then sat down on a bench outside to eat it over a cup of tea served by a local resident I will have the same sweet delivered so I can savor it at home while watching Miharu Takizakura livestreamed on the town government’s website Please view the main text area of the page by skipping the main menu. When traffic sees the tree they are amazed by its beauty and desire to get their personal cherry blossom tree for their homes".The Takizakura in Fukushima is one of the ancient three notable cherry blossom timber in Japan.Usually the cherry blossom tree's lifespan is simply 15-20 years. However what makes these timber so splendid is that they have been able to stay for longer than a thousand years because of sensitive care from generations of workers (ANI) Jaishankar appreciates Japan's support for India over Pahalgam terrorist attack Rajnath Singh holds bilateral talks with Japanese counterpart Gen Nakatani thanks him for efforts to deepen defence cooperation Gen Nakatani expresses condolences on Pahalgam attack during India-Japan Defence Ministerial Meeting Japan's involvement to strengthen tech capabilities boost Indo-Japan collaborations in research & innovation Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to hold bilateral talks with his Japanese counterpart tomorrow Tokyo lodges protest with Beijing after Chinese helicopter "violates" Japan's airspace copyrights © aninews.in | All rights Reserved Namco Bandai has released a free update containing new characters and stages for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 The new characters are: the Japanese-born and Chinese martial arts master Miharu Hirano the Monaco-born and self-taught fighter Sebastian and the America-born free-style karate master Slim Bob The new stages are: Extravagant Underground (Russia) Find the first footage of the new characters and stages below. It's not an ending where nothing happens and the inability of any character to change this kills the momentum of what might have been and it just isn't fulfilling on any level save for Miharu and Yoite's relationship This was once the series' greatest point of intrigue but at the cost of every other plot development it's hard to make us care about it anymore the standouts of the series are still the distinctive backgrounds and appealing character designs to say nothing of the juicy fight animation they deliver well.) A few cheats pop up here and there like blurring between extremes rather than drawing in-betweens and full of rich details like the style differences between Raikou and Raimei's swordfighting The further emergence of the Shinrabansho produces a blend of CG and texture mapping that is nothing special on a technical level and sometimes appears disjointed when the 2D and 3D elements blend but is certainly entertaining to watch as kanji crawl melt and dribble all over and around Miharu and bright green auras lash out violently in all directions particularly in the quiet denouement of the final episode with its tender melodies and resounding chords It is an excellent-looking series beginning to end and sweet on the ears to boot Funimation's exceedingly liberal reversion helped rather than hindered the series in its first half the writing tweaks downright rescue the series from a pit of writing cliches Where the original script again wallows in repetitious expositonal dialogue the English script smooths over every exchange with natural dialogue rich in character voice and adds insight to the long conversations rather than distorting them Several embarrassingly cheesy one-liners and spiels on the part of baddies and companions alike are also taken out in favor of more genuine-sounding speeches and the integrity of the characters' motivations is preserved if not enhanced This is the saving grace for part two of Nabari which is composed almost entirely of dialogue The big exception to this is a key scene in which a samurai makes it clear that he wishes to commit seppuku but changes his mind after losing respect for his master…at which point his second violently tries to enforce the ritual. The dub oversimplifies this cultural element by implying that the second is more of an assassin and severely downplaying the allusion to ritual suicide This may have been too substantial a change but in light of many other drastic improvements Acting performances remain strong in both languages with no singular standouts apart from perhaps Joel MacDonald's subdued but intense Yoite DVD extras include the standard load of trailers and clean themes, along with a very entertaining English voice actor commentary They discuss several series along with Nabari and settle all those rumors about the “special” relationship between Miharu and Yoite by confirming each and every one newbie VA Joel MacDonald shares an anecdote that implies he'll be at many conventions in the future Nabari no Ou has had trouble finding its audience since the beginning but the novelty of its softer approach to ninja warfare was well-executed and made it stand out from the crowd It's too bad that “different” doesn't always mean “better,” at least not here and the further the series has slipped into emotional turmoil at the cost of good storytelling the more the protagonist's token apathy relocates to the viewer Full encyclopedia details aboutNabari no Ou (TV) Release information aboutNabari - The Complete Series Part 2 (DVD) the hype about Asian elements is particularly heated from the smiling dolphin photo in Japans Miyajima Aquarium to the hype about Korean dolls represented by Loopy European and American meme players also seem to have a strong interest in Asian culture and they seem willing to pay for memes with Asian elements the account @XData under the X platform released a photo of a smiling dolphin This was the second time that the official X tweeted about the zoo meme it was confirmed that the whale was Miharu from Miyajima Aquarium The SOL version of Miharu attracted the entry of the giant whale holding the first place in MOODENG (the giant whale address: DBzhEXjxvuvpS9i9N8PhQXSqzkc8YPtKbfWLwcSmxZpp) Todays 12 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 12675.41%; current profit: 1951.56% Todays 12 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 1707.09%; current profit: 921.25% Todays 2 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 305.06%; current profit: 60.65% the meme trend has not only been blowing in zoos @LoopySUI announced that CA was officially launched and Korean dolls represented by Loopy ushered in a wave of hype Loopy is a cute pink fox character created by a Korean designer Loopys image conveys friendly and optimistic emotions and is deeply loved by young people and trendy play enthusiasts Todays 12AM (GMT+8) purchase maximum profit: 57.39%; current profit: -3.84% often loved by collectors for its cute appearance and unique design Its image has big eyes and exaggerated expressions often combined with humor and some parody elements Labubus design style has received widespread attention in the trendy toy circle Todays 12 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 93.4%; current profit: -1.6% Todays 12 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 68.24%; current profit: -5.54% Zimomo is a trendy toy product and a character in Long Jiashengs work The Monsters series Zimomo is the leader of the Monsters and the group Todays 12 AM (GMT+ 8) highest profit: 86.23%; current profit: -11.76% Musk announced on the X platform that he would release a humanoid robot product on October 10 The poster was accompanied by the text We Robot ROBOT rose nearly 6 times in a short period of time and WR also rose nearly 20 times in a short period of time Some community members also included the previous uppercase and lowercase $Robotaxi in the watch list based on their guesses about the product names Related reading: Solana turns into Zootopia, Ethereum Robot emerges as a dark horse | What is the meme hype today? 「It』s not enough to talk about $BONK BONK Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 came out on Monday on TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks in Japan The episode picked up the narrative from the previous installment and revealed how Miharu and Aki ended up transported to the Strahl region from Earth timely saved them from the bandits and took them under his care one of the highlights of Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 was how it provided an interesting setup for the rest of the season with the Legend of the Six Wise Gods' lore the episode has nicely poised a new adventure for Rio as he would like to unravel the secret behind the mysterious lights and Miharu's arrival Disclaimer: This article contains spoilers from Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 retains the same vibe as the previous installment but executes them slightly differently. The episode begins with a flashback scene, showing Haruto's promise to Miharu as a child. Although Haruto has to leave the town, he assures Miharu that he will marry her once he grows up After studying hard, Haruto enrolls in the same school as Miharu. However, he observes that the girl has found many friends with whom she feels lively. He effortlessly defeats them and saves Satsuki and Aki has also been transported to the other world During their conversation in Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 Rio recalls that Aki Sendo is Haruto's sister Rio assumes Haruto's mother must have remarried which explains why Aki and Masato have Sendo as their surname who are glad to see that Miharu and the others are safe Since Miharu and her friends are from Earth and don't know the native Strahl tongue, Aishia uses her magic to act as a communication link between them and Celia Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 shows Miharu and others enjoying a bath with Celia and Aishia where they learn about Aishia's actual identity as a Spirit Meanwhile, Masato wonders whether they have been transported to the unknown region like a game Although Rio hasn't played such games much Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 shows Celia wearing a casual dress given by Aki Rio feels they must purchase some necessary clothes. Meanwhile, Miharu asks Rio whether he knows how to get back to Earth. She also reveals that their two other friends may have been transported to Strahl. Rio then recalls his backstory about how he got reincarnated to the other world after his accident Celia feels there's a definite correlation between Miharu's arrival and the six lights they saw earlier She also recalls that it's the year 1000 of the Holy Era Calendar Celia speculates the situation has something to do with the Legend of the Six Wise Gods According to Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 when the six colored holy jewels shine 1000 years after the Divine Demon War the brave heroes who embrace the Divine Equipment shall return to Strahl and lead the world of men on behalf of the Six Wise Gods Yet, neither Rio nor Celia know how the lore is connected to their situation. Meanwhile, Aishia feels sleepy as she has used too much energy She almost falls asleep on Rio to recharge her mana Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 ends on a light-hearted note TMS Entertainment has done a decent job portraying the events from Yuki Kitayama's light novel series While the episode slightly deviated from the source material which relied heavily on story building and action the sequel's first episode commenced with lighter notes and Masato and their relationship with Rio/Haruto with just animation and decent composition The episode nicely set up the narrative for the rest of the season with an intriguing "Legend of the Six Wise Gods" lore Besides that, the main focus of Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 was on the characters. Miharu, Masato, Satsuki, Celia, Aishia, and Rio all got their moment to shine in the episode. Now, it remains to be seen how the sequel builds up on the premiere for the next episodes Spirit Chronicles season 2 episode 1 marked the return of one of the highly anticipated titles of Isekai fantasy anime The episode featured the beloved characters and set up a new adventure for Rio/Haruto He has to unravel the secret of why Miharu and others have been transported to the other world the season promises to be an exciting one for fans Your perspective matters!Start the conversation
