"Her friends and family were asked not to announce her death publicly until 49 days later, which coincided with her birthday," adds VGDensetsu At that time, Segawa posted the following message on his now-deleted Twitter account: She had been fighting an illness for some time but no medicine could help her and she passed away in July She was a good wife and a good partner who always supported me I would like to report this with gratitude to everyone who interacted with her during her lifetime What's sad about all of this is that Ozaki's incredible contribution to Phantasy Star III and Sega's history is in danger of being lost altogether. "Her three known Twitter accounts have since been deleted, while her website and forum (on which Phantasy Star III composer Izuho Numata sometimes posted) were closed down several years ago," VGDensetsu explains that the site has been able to create such a moving and detailed tribute to the artist You can visit VGDensetsu's profile on Ozaki to see more of her work this will encourage you to seek out her art and perhaps even boot up Phantasy Star III or one of her other games to celebrate her memory Powered by the Esper Genesis roleplaying rules system "I believe that a story or world cannot revolve around male power alone" [source vgdensetsu.net] Prev Next Damien has been writing professionally about tech and video games since 2007 and oversees all of Hookshot Media's sites from an editorial perspective. Dynamic Abstractness. It is difficult to deal with architectural elements such as stairs and handrails that don’t have direct relation to the main architectural composition. © Shinkenchiku ShaIt might be my prejudice, but architectural space gradually becomes static, when additive elements are reduced to be abstract. It also has an effect on various human activities and furniture to vividly come to front, but sometimes it appears as if they are being denied. © Shinkenchiku ShaI have tried to achieve a design, in which the main architectural composition, such as relation between slabs, stands out but at the same time secondary elements as mentioned above are also become a vivid issue of the design.   Perspective SectionMy query was to find out whether it is possible to create space that has quality of, so to speak, dynamic abstractness, enabling space to all the more get settled when activities and things are mixed with the space and objects are flooded there. © Shinkenchiku ShaHaving a left over, unbuilt triangular plot in its neighboring landand an agricultural land across the street, the site was relatively open. The client requested a house there, in which they can live comfortably protecting their privacy appropriately. © Shinkenchiku ShaThe site is narrow and long, irregular-shaped and sloped. The area is enforced with strict wall-setback restriction and also had a shadow regulation. Under the limitations, we considered creating stretch of space by using mitigation of the regulation that permits decks and eaves to protrude over setback lines. Exempted from the shadow regulation, the eaves height was decided to be less than 7 meters. © Shinkenchiku ShaThe volume resulted in two-storiesabove the ground and one underground story. The part above the ground is sliced into seven layers, shifted, stacked and eliminated to create deep pleated exterior appearance. The manipulation is similar to House in Matsunoki (GA HOUSES 140), which was being designed around the same period. SectionIn House in Matsunoki, different materials were used to articulate segments, but in this residence, all are finished with white FRPso that pleats can be made deeper both inside and outside. In this way, we tried to make relation with exterior space, while protecting the inside with wrapping belt-like space. © Shinkenchiku ShaThe shifted volumes function as balconies, eaves and windows outside, while the level gaps generated by the shift work as a desk, landings and shelves inside. From the windows created in-between stripes, nearby bushes, a series of tiled roofs are framed horizontally. surrounding landscape and the stacked shifted volumes are mixed You'll now receive updates based on what you follow Personalize your stream and start following your favorite authors If you have done all of this and still can't find the email Researchers at Toyonaka Municipal Hospital in Japan have shown that the rate of subclinical infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) among staff at the hospital is no higher than among the general population in the same area Tsutomu Nishida and colleagues say the findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the nosocomial infection control measures that were introduced as recommended by the Japanese Society for Infection Prevention and Control and the National Center for Global Health and Medicine “The results of this study demonstrated that our nosocomial infection control measures have thus far been successful,” writes the team A pre-print version of the paper is available on the server medRxiv* Since the first cases of COVID-19 were identified in Wuhan the causative agent SARS-CoV-2 has spread to almost every country in the world and infected more than 29 million people Hospital staff are at the front line of efforts to control the ongoing pandemic and are at an increased risk of transmitting the highly infectious virus Nosocomial infection among hospital staff can therefore be problematic and one study reported that the virus is often detected among hospital staff even when they are not involved in the care of COVID-19 patients The authors of the current study say that although Japan has been more successful at controlling disease spread than some other countries and has maintained a comparatively low incidence of infections in hospitals the subclinical rate of infection among staff during the pandemic remains unclear which is located in an urban area of the Osaka Prefecture including 14 in the Infectious Disease Unit and is a designated institution for type II infectious diseases “Our hospital is located in the pandemic region in Japan,” writes the team. “At the government's request, we were the hospital to accept four asymptomatic COVID-19 patients from the cruise ship, the Diamond Princess, on February 22, 2020. After that, COVID-19 spread in Japan and the number of patients admitted to our hospital gradually increased.” the hospital accepted 75 COVID-19 patients and performed 415 nasopharyngeal swabs to test for SARS-CoV-2 infection Basic infection control measures have been introduced at the hospital in accordance with manuals produced by the Japanese Society for Infection Prevention and Control and the National Center for Global Health and Medicine Staff have used personal protective equipment when caring for people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 it is important to investigate the subclinical SARS-CoV-2 infection rate in our staff and to evaluate the effectiveness of our nosocomial infection control measures,” say Nishida and colleagues the team has tested for the prevalence of subclinical infection among 925 hospital staff (aged a mean of 40 years) using a test for the anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody immunoglobulin g (IgG) has a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 99.6% The researchers also explored risk factors associated with seropositivity using a survey composed of questions about background and involvement with patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 and 98 (10.5%) was the administrative staff Four of the 925 staff were seropositive for anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG representing a subclinical infection rate of 0.43% “Considering that the sensitivity of this assay is 100% the true-positive rate in our hospital should be less than 0.43%,” writes the team The researchers say this seroprevalence of 0.43% is similar to or less than the seroprevalence of 0.54% (16/2970) that was identified using the same assay in a government survey of the general population in Osaka over the same period The prevalence of seropositivity did not significantly differ by job role exposure to suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases “The results of this study demonstrated that our nosocomial infection control measures have thus far been successful,” say Nishida and colleagues “Compared with the seropositive rate of 0.54% in the general population in Osaka our results indicate that we have thus far successfully managed to avoid hospital-acquired infections.” the study shows that timely serological screening of a large cohort is essential for achieving control during the pandemic “Hospital-based antibody screening could also help us evaluate and monitor infection control,” they fingers and another eyeball (900 yen) operator of the Nakanishi Horror Sweets Factory confectionery in the city “I had always thought it would be great to see my sweets lined up at an airport and elsewhere as souvenirs from Toyonaka,” she said “I owe the city so much for such a long time.” She came up with the idea about 10 years ago when she wanted to give her eldest daughter something fun Inspired by sweets she saw at a Halloween party when she was staying in the United States Nakanishi baked finger-shaped cookies for the daughter The cookies received favorable reviews after Nakanishi posted photos on social media She also started cooking up other horror-themed sweets such as eyeball jellies and brain cheesecakes She received so many requests that she founded the confectionery studio in 2014 Nakanishi quit her job at a hotel to concentrate on her work as a confectioner but many customers wanted to buy her sweets at a physical store Nakanishi consulted with officials of the local chamber of commerce and industry late last year for advice on selling her spooky sweets through a vending machine The officials referred her to Osaka Monorail Service Co which is in charge of maintenance and management work for Osaka Monorail’s cars and stations It also operates kiosks and vending machines “We thought it was interesting because (her sweets) can’t be found anywhere else,” an Osaka Monorail Service representative said “We were not sure whether the machine would be accepted at a public place like a train station,” the representative said Nakanishi and the company decided on painting eyeballs for the machine the most visually striking design among her four concepts They also agreed that the sales lineup center on moderately priced goods Nakanishi invited members of the chamber of commerce and industry to the Aug “I was so happy to see my wish fulfilled to sell (my sweets) as local souvenirs,” Nakanishi said The midsummer Bon holidays began soon after the machine was set up and many people making homecoming visits and other tourists bought the ghoulish goodies at the station Nakanishi had to refill the machine every day “I had no time to feel at ease because I couldn’t cook a big batch of cookies at one time,” she said She said that when she was replenishing the machine one time a middle-aged corporate worker on a business trip from Tokyo bought three boxes of the sweets She said she found the machine even more rewarding because many people told her they never had a chance to buy her sweets because they were sold only online But another surge in sales occurred after the vending machine was featured in a TV show Nakanishi plans to increase the supply of T-shirts and other goods I can’t make plans,” she said with a smile “I hope my sweets will take root as confections locally produced in Toyonaka and that I can install vending machines at major stations and airports congested with tourists.” Coca-Cola offers cheaper vending machine drinks to
