A match between Gangwon FC and Daegu FC at Gangneung Stadium on September 28 It was a clear green color that came to mind when I thought of grass It was a grass color that was hard to see in the K League recently there was no loss of concentration due to the grass Since the grass is not in a state of confusion whether it is grass or paddy field the players' mistakes due to the grass did not come out Fans who visited Gangneung Stadium on this day did not have to worry about whether their cheering player would be hurt by the grass The grass in most stadiums where professional football games are played this season has been greatly damaged which have a huge impact on players' performance do not mean that they are discounting ticket prices It's not the first time that grass has become a problem Lee Chung-yong and Son Heung-min repeatedly point out grass problems every year All that remains is that it is difficult to manage because the management entity is a local government such as the Korea Facilities Management Corporation So the grass of Gangneung Sports Complex caught my eye the chief officer of the Gangneung City Culture and Sports Facility Corporation called the "Master of the Grass," will be responsible for the grass at Gangneung Sports Complex Choi is a veteran who has been managing grass for 15 years I paid all my attention to the grass day and night The result was the grass of Gangneung Sports Complex Gangwon coach Yoon Jung-hwan and players all showed pride in the grass at Gangneung Sports Complex "The quality of training is very good if you train at Gangneung Sports Complex," coach Yoon said "The ground condition of Chuncheon Songam Sports Town which was used as a home stadium in the first half of this season was also excellent." "I'm very grateful to be able to use these stadiums as home stadiums," he said who has established himself as a fullback for the national team continued to praise the grass at Gangneung Stadium "I don't know what the fans watching the game will think Only when the grass is good can we show better performance to our fans Good grass leads to greater satisfaction from fans The grass at Gangneung Sports Complex is better than it looks I'm happy to play home games in such an environment We kick the ball on the grass like this because we are Gangwon players The grass at Gangneung Sports Complex is our great pride." who is Gangwon's top scorer and has scored the most points of attack this season "People around me describe the grass of Gangneung Sports Complex as a 'carpet,'" and added "I know that the people who manage them are putting a lot of effort into it we can continue the soccer we want to play It is an environment where you can show more fun and good performance to your fans I sincerely thank those who take care of the grass like children out of sight," he said Gangneung Stadium was selected by the Korea Professional Football Federation earlier this month as the target of the Green Stadium for the 2nd Club Award of the "Hana One Q K League 1 2024." world championships a photographer with The Post-Crescent and USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin is covering the Winter Olympics as part of the USA TODAY Sports Images team in Pyeongchang He is writing periodic columns on his experiences at the Games and sharing some of his photos South Korea - I was lucky enough to have some time in the morning to explore a little before heading up into the mountains to photograph my next event I love the Appleton Downtown Farmers Market have you been to the farmer’s market lately We actually visited two markets that were located in downtown Gangneung The best way I can describe the folk market is that it is made up of numerous little restaurants that either have a handful of seats or none at all and it was mentioned to me that that’s because it’s regulated You could eat just about any type of Korean food you could imagine — most of which I did not recognize We had a sort of cheesy heavy pancake dessert that was so good that a colleague videotaped me trying it for the first time and describing the experience for my wife this place was fascinating and had much more of an edge to it it offered any type of creature from the sea you could imagine everything is written in Korean and nobody that I ran into spoke English chicken feet and a gentleman preparing bone soup made from beef brain and skulls just off to the side But I loved every moment and could have spent hours there with my camera I especially enjoyed the moment when three elderly women offered us a taste of what they were eating for lunch They started giggling when we all politely declined.  Sometimes you don’t need to speak the same language to share in a good laugh.
