NC put the brakes on KT's rise and won its first three consecutive games this year.
The NC Dinos, led by head coach Lee Ho-joon, defeated manager Lee Kang-chul's KT Wiz 6-2 in the 2025 professional baseball KBO League away game held at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on the 5th.
As a result, NC, which won its first three consecutive games this season, recorded 13 wins and 18 losses. On March 29, a structure crashed at Changwon NC Park, causing a baseball fan to die, and although he is only carrying out the away schedule due to safety inspections, he seems to be gradually rebounding. KT, which has failed to win three consecutive games, has 18 wins, two draws and 16 losses.
Along with pitcher Logan Allen, NC has set up a starting list of Kwon Hee-dong (designated hitter), Kim Joo-won (st baseman), Park Min-woo (second baseman), Matt Davison (first baseman), Son A-seop (right fielder), Kim Hyung-joon (fosu), Kim Hwi-jip (third baseman), Chun Jin-hwan (left fielder) and Han Seok-hyun (middle fielder).
In response, KT built the lineup with Hwang Jae-gyun (third baseman), Kim Min-hyuk (left fielder), Mel Rojas Jr. (designated hitter), Ahn Hyun-min (right fielder), Jang Sung-woo (catcher), Kwon Dong-jin (striker), Bae Jung-dae (middle fielder), Moon Sang-cheol (first baseman), and Kang Min-sung (second baseman). The starting pitcher is Joey-hyun.
The opportunity came first to KT. In the bottom of the second inning, Kim Hui-jip, the opponent's third baseman, and Kwon Dong-jin's walk connected the first and second bases with no outs. However, Bae Jeong-dae and Moon Sang-cheol struck out and turned to 5-4-3 (third baseman, second baseman, and first baseman), respectively, and failed to score a point.
It was up to NC to take the lead. After two outs in the top of the fifth inning, when Kim Hwi-jip opened the door with a left-center hit, Chun Jae-hwan hit an RBI timely triple that cut right-center. In the following two outs and third base, Han Seok-hyun also hit an RBI timely hit to the right.
KT, which was hit hard, steadily sought to counterattack, but failed to show any signs as the batters were tied up by opposing starting pitcher Logan.
KT, which became urgent, chased Kang Baek-ho with a 130-meter long-distance two-run shot over right-center wall (season No. 5), in the bottom of the ninth inning, but that was it. Thus, NC won three consecutive games.
NC starter Logan threw 95 pitches and allowed three hits, two outs, and three strikeouts in seven innings to earn his first win (5 losses) of the season. In the batting lineup, Chun Jae-hwan (2 hits and 1 RBI in 4 at-bats) and Han Seok-hyun (2 hits and 1 RBI in 4 at-bats) shone. In addition, Kim Joo-won (2 hits and 1 RBI in 4 at-bats) and Son Ah-seop (2 hits and 1 RBI in 4 at-bats) also strongly supported them.
KT's poor batting lineup, which had only seven hits and two points, was painful. Starting pitcher Joey-hyun (five hits and two runs in five innings) pitched well, but he lost his third game of the season (one win) because he did not receive scoring support.
After the game, manager Lee Ho-joon said, "Today's starter Logan won his first victory of the season with seven scoreless innings. Congratulations, you must have suffered more than anyone else. I hope you show more good performances through this game," he said with a thumbs-up.
He continued, "As the batting lineup has been revitalized recently, we are scoring effectively. I hope the good trend will continue a little longer. It's a shame that we couldn't meet our fans at our home stadium on Children's Day, but thank you to the fans who came all the way to Suwon to support us. We will prepare to show you a good game tomorrow."

Despite the political upheaval and its negative effects on the economy of South Korea last year
Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-joon is content with his city's progress
He said the city had “overcome economic downturns” and created a “driving force for greater development in the future.”
who took office in July 2022 after winning the race for the Democratic Party of Korea
holds great pride in the social and economic policies he led last year under the slogan
enhanced living conditions for the city’s citizens and revitalized the city’s economy
Those policies include Saebit Civil Service Office
which consists of nine public workers with more than 20 years of experience that handle complaints and inquiries submitted to the city government
the city government says queries and complaints were processed faster
as the staff were able to deal with the requests without having to seek additional assistance or approval from specific departments
“The Saebit Civil Service Center has been recognized as an exemplary case nationwide
as it was rewarded the Presidential Award in 2024,” said Lee
Lee also mentioned the Saebit Fund -- a city government-led policy that invests in companies based in Suwon
equipped with excellent technology and growth potential to support their development and foster them into global companies
“As of now the Saebit Fund has garnered up to 314.9 billion won ($217 million)
more than three times the target amount,” continued Lee
Lee stated that the city would begin to “invest in promising companies” from 2025
Based on the city’s achievements from last year
Lee stated that 2025 will be a year of “great transformation” for Suwon
“The city government has worked to make sure Suwon citizens will be able to experience these changes firsthand in their lives,” Lee said
those that aim to boost the city’s economy will “always take top priority” this year
“The city will strengthen investments in high-tech companies and discover companies that hold a lot of potential for growth
to solidify Suwon’s foundation as an ideal city for companies to conduct business,” affirmed Lee
The mayor added that the city government will also work to boost its economy by supporting local businesses through Suwon Pay
a local digital currency that works like a prepaid electronic voucher
After users load money onto Suwon Pay through a mobile app or card
they can use the digital currency at participating stores
“To help small businesses (in Suwon) and stimulate local spending
we doubled the annual budget for Suwon Pay this year to 41.1 billion won and increased the incentive rates from 6 to 7 percent to 10 percent,” said Lee
The incentives come in the form of extra money that the city government provides when users load funds into their Suwon Pay account
“During major holidays like the Lunar New Year and Chuseok
we increased the incentive rates to 20 percent,” he said
Lee also pointed out that the city plans to introduce 2,000 job positions compared to the previous year
while also hosting monthly job fairs to link employers and potential workers searching for jobs
When asked what Lee envisions as Suwon’s future
Lee explained that his goal is to shape Suwon into a “high-tech scientific city,” after revitalizing the city’s economy
creating high-quality jobs and encouraging company investments that increase “the city’s potential for development.”
“Suwon already possesses the fundamentals to become a high-tech scientific city
with its existing industrial hubs such as Gwanggyo Techno Valley and the Suwon Delta Plex,” explained Lee
“The city also plans to develop more of such hubs such as Buksuwon Techno Valley
Suwon R&D Science Park and Uman Bio Valley
to ultimately create a cluster in Suwon consisting of advanced scientific companies.”
Lee added that the city also aims to create a free economic zone in western Seoul
by creating what could be dubbed "Korea’s Silicon Valley" at the former site of Suwon Air Base to attract high-tech scientific companies and research centers
“Once the high-tech scientific innovation cluster and free economic zone are established
Suwon will become a city where companies that hold great potential can gather and create synergy with one another

This study describes the process of digitally reconstructing the ancient Korean city of Suwon Hwaseong in 3D utilizing Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) resources to accurately represent its wooden architectural heritage
Previous 3D reconstructions of cultural heritage have often prioritized appearance or remained partially disassembled
our reconstruction method offers a comprehensive representation of the appearance and the internal structure of wooden architectural heritage
which can be suitable for restoration maintenance
we collected and utilized administrative records and historical materials
and Haenggung (the temporary palace of the Joseon Dynasty)—drawing from the archive of the Korean Cultural Heritage Service’s management records and the 1796 manuscript “Uigwe: Royal Protocols of the Hwaseong Fortress” which documents the construction of the ancient city of Suwon Hwaseong
Extensive architectural records were used to generate HBIM data
and drawings to accurately represent the complex layout of the wooden architectural heritage
For the folk houses that lacked design records and the fortress walls that retained their original shape
we performed a digital restoration-based façade modeling
These elements of the ancient city of Suwon Hwaseong were assembled into a 3D model using Unreal Engine (version 5.1.1) to digitally reconstruct the city and enhance its visual representation
which utilizes visual effects and precise rendering from a game engine
and maintenance of both appearance and internal structures
it is unable to provide comprehensive information about the structural and material details necessary for physical restoration
Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) technologies are being used for the maintenance
HBIM is an integrated information model that includes three-dimensional (3D) geometric information of architectural heritage assets and incorporates non-geometric information
such as repair history over the life cycle
This makes it an essential tool in the field of cultural heritage
distinct from conventional Building Information Modeling (BIM)
which primarily focuses on modern architecture
Although HBIM technology is advancing rapidly
it has not yet reached a development level that can support the full range of architectural heritage features
It makes a significant challenge when creating BIM models of architectural heritage in cultures
which are characterized by wooden construction with multiple joints
the 3D model is initially generated using non-invasive techniques
such as photogrammetry and LiDAR-based point cloud data collection
to prevent any potential damage to cultural heritage assets
combined with advanced software capable of processing such data
This approach enables the precise digital preservation of both the appearance and the internal structures
ensuring accurate geometric representation without direct physical contact
and dismantling of Suwon Hwaseong Temple exist from the time of its construction to the present
it is possible to first build an HBIM model based on existing physical measurements and drawings
These records have been measured and managed as a national project
beginning from the Joseon Dynasty to the current day Republic of Korea
which implies that they have sufficient reliability
that would otherwise remain shaded in the 3D model
Although HBIM models help maintain cultural properties
they are difficult to use as a source for various types of content
we decided to build the fictional Suwon Hwaseong as a game engine
which included detailed information about structural joints and historical repairs
we created a 3D content model and imported it into Unreal Engine
This conversion from HBIM to Unreal Engine allowed the model to be adapted for games and animations while maintaining its structural and historical accuracy
The resulting HBIM-based 3D content can be ported for various purposes
we describe the sources used in this process
the structures selected for inclusion in the model
and the processes of assembling the HBIM data and developing the final 3D model
such as physical surveys and wooden architectural heritage repair reports
which detailed the appearance and the internal structures conditions of the Hwaseong structures
the records of preserved cultural properties in Korea are divided into three types—physical survey reports
The physical survey reports involve external surveys using measurement tools (Total station
while the repair reports document simple repairs
The physical survey and repair reports describe findings during building dismantling for repairs
We obtained data from the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Agency’s Cultural Asset Facility Division and systematically organized them for use in HBIM
focusing on 14 wooden structures within Hwaseong and 34 survey drawings of Hwaseong’s temporary palace buildings
and drawings to extract necessary building element data
we visited the site to capture images for the 3D mapping of the building’s model
which are difficult to obtain from existing documents and digital data
we carefully examined the site for elements that differed from the documents and drawings
potentially due to weather and climate effects
to develop a careful strategy for the final HBIM
Suwon Hwaseong was built as a capital by King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty
notably characterized by the large crisscrossing roads
Hwaseong’s main structures included Hwaseong Yusubu (the city)
Ancient city of Suwon Hwaseong site is located in Paldal-gu
and the fortress was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in December 1997
a wooden cultural asset with construction and maintenance reports
from the time of construction to the present (and thus a fitting target for HBIM production)
was a temporary palace for the kings of the Joseon Dynasty
and every king since Jeongjo had stayed there
Haenggung was usually used as the residence of Suwon’s president (busa) and military administrator (yusu)
it was the largest of the temporary palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty
the palace had political and military significance
making Haenggung an important heritage site that reveals the changes in political
and social culture in the late Joseon Dynasty
and maintenance projects have recreated Haenggung as it was during the Joseon Dynasty
Our digital restoration of the ancient city of Suwon Hwaseong included the geography/terrain of the city
and the wooden structures of the Hwaseong Haenggung and folk houses
The fortress walls, folk houses, and geography/terrain were modeled and restored using Computer Graphics (CG), focusing on appearance (namely size and structural features), whereas Haenggung was modeled with HBIM for restoration purposes. The names of each software used for the restoration and the overall diagram of the data processing pipeline are shown in Fig. 1.

The research has shown that our HBIM model reached a Level of Detail (LOD) 4, as defined in the book by Antonopoulou and Bryan [36]
it serves as a “design intent” model for procurement and cost analysis
we worked with a Computer Graphics (CG) expert
using the procedure outlined below to adapt the HBIM-based 3D model to the engine
The cleanup process involved the following tasks:
Checking for lamina (paired) and unnecessary faces (planes); objects that are strangely centered (e.g.
empty space) may indicate unnecessary faces
Using the “Edges with Zero Length” feature to delete all the faces with zero distance between edges
Setting the model to the center coordinate (0
Deleting unnecessary layers and history from the channel box to remove any remaining garbage data
Figure 9 presents a comparison of the model before and after cleanup.

To correct this error and restore the original modeling file, additional cleanup was needed. Figure 11 compares the model before and after cleanup. It is noteworthy how the incorrectly exported roof tile shapes are corrected after cleanup.

a Digital reconstruction of the Hwaseong Haenggung palace
d Full disassembly of the HBIM-based jaesil (ritual house)
we assess the success of our HBIM development project regarding both the requirements of HBIM and the specific intended use-case for our project
and rapid response to archaeological changes for wooden architectural heritage in Korea
As shown in Figs. 14a and b, all sites in Suwon Hwaseong were reconstructed according to the archaeological evidence. Figure 14d
an overall anatomical view of the HBIM-based 3D model of jaesil (ritual house)
shows that the HBIM-based 3D model was designed to represent parts
Digital heritage should be easily accessible to a wide range of users [6]
regardless of their access to high-spec technologies
we stress-tested the program to ensure that the high-quality content is legible even on lower-spec systems
Our test demonstrated that a computer with an Intel I9-12900K processor and Nvidia RTX3080 graphics card stably maintained the model at over 60 fps
an ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX517Z laptop with an Intel i5-12450H processor and Nvidia RTX3050 graphics card maintained the model at 25–30 fps in battery-saving mode
We expect to improve the optimization in the future
We also conducted private internal testing and surveys with a total of 30 users
revealed that “Suwon Hwaseong REBORN” is overall user-friendly; users particularly appreciated the functional quality of the content (50% agreed
Its effectiveness in helping them understand cultural heritage was highly rated
with 33.33% agreeing and 60.00% strongly agreeing
It was also found to be easy to use owing to its clear representation of the targeted cultural heritage (26.67% agreed and 73.33% strongly agreed) and intuitive interface (40% agreed and 46.67% strongly agreed)
The addition of non-player characters (NPCs) walking the streets and showing historical footage to enhance the immersive experience were mentioned as positive improvements
This project had three achievements: (1) A historically accurate and detailed reproduction of shaded areas
such as seams that cannot be seen with traditional scanning tool-based modeling techniques (e.g.
(2) An adapted and flexible classification system based on Industry Foundation Class (IFC) structure rearrangement that allows for the addition of IFC codes to ensure that parts of a wooden structure can be accounted for
and (3) A dynamic model that allows for the granular manipulation of individual content elements so that only specific elements need to be modified or replaced when archaeological or architectural changes occur
The model also included maintenance records received directly from Suwon Hwaseong
adaptations could be performed immediately
Our intended purpose is already being realized in the maintenance of this architectural heritage site. In Fig. 14c
a part of the Shinpungnu has been replaced
and because the repair history was identified through the HBIM system
This shows how 3D content can digitally solve the time-consuming and expensive problem of traditional physical restoration
especially when parts have been replaced or restored incorrectly
These data were used to model various types of HBIM and process the 3D model extracted from the HBIM’s IFC file to generate the final product—Suwon Hwaseong Reborn
it is possible to build BIM models based on the HBIM and HBIM-based 3D model construction method advocated in this study
leveraging existing organizational frameworks and production methods
as it allows for a finer detail level than typical façade modeling
The second phase of physical restoration of Suwon Hwaseong has recently been completed and new physical and digital restoration projects are currently being initiated
Our HBIM and HBIM-based 3D content have been delivered to the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Agency’s Cultural Asset Facility Division where they will be used for design verification and maintenance
and for developing online and offline promotional content for Suwon Hwaseong
The HBIM and content creation methodology developed in this study for traditional wooden architectural heritage sites has the potential to significantly advance cultural heritage preservation practices on a global scale
By providing a comprehensive digital restoration framework
our methodology can be adopted by cultural heritage organizations to enhance the preservation and maintenance of heritage sites
The digitization and visualization of paper-based maintenance management systems have the dual benefit of enhancing the efficiency of heritage site maintenance for professionals and promoting public engagement and awareness of cultural heritage for ordinary users
This innovative approach represents a substantial advancement in the domain of cultural heritage preservation and management
Notwithstanding the practical versatility of our method
it may be difficult to extrapolate it to all use cases
it requires materials with accurate data about multiple shaded areas
such as seams in wooden architectural heritage
Suwon Hwaseong was a suitable case study because of the existence of extensive records (especially Uigwe)
Other wooden architectural heritage properties may not have sufficient data to create an HBIM resource
certain technological developments can stall the application of our method
recent Scan-to-BIM technologies are difficult to use for wooden architectural heritage
which makes it impossible to swiftly create HBIM
dismantling a wooden heritage structure for repairs or collecting joint shapes using X-rays may not be feasible
creating joint shapes in HBIM requires informed speculation
Given that the architectural elements of some works of ancient architectural cultural heritage are not adequately captured
creating an HBIM that accurately analyzes architectural styles across different eras and regions is challenging
architectural cultural heritage exhibits nuanced differences in style
challenging the establishment of a universal standard
constructing an HBIM of each architectural cultural heritage requires a detailed analysis of architectural styles and modifications to components
This approach will ensure that the HBIM accurately reflects the unique features of architectural cultural heritage
Current work on Korean wooden architectural heritage is attempting to define the architectural style for each era such that unidentified seams can be inferred to some extent through the construction period
Applying artificial intelligence to this effort could enable an HBIM to be created quickly
improving the performance of Scan-to-BIM for wooden architectural heritage and filling the gaps in available data
future research should examine the possibility of automating the conversion of HBIM data into 3D models
and UV cleaning was performed with the help of CG experts to ensure optimization and quality
Considering the lack of experience in HBIM and HBIM-enabled digital content creation for Korean wooden architecture
data accumulation through future studies will enable partial or full automation
The data that support the findings of this study are available from the Hwaseong Fortress Agency’s Cultural Asset Facility Division and Korea Cultural Heritage Administration
but restrictions apply to the availability of these data
which were used under license for the current study
Data are however available from the authors upon reasonable request and with permission of the Hwaseong Fortress Agency’s Cultural Asset Facility Division and Korea Cultural Heritage Administration
While high-quality graphics enhance the presentation of digital heritage over the Internet or as stand-alone software
these are not appropriate for all audiences
and upkeep of cultural heritage has been conducted using handwritten reports
which has several disadvantages compared with digital data management
there has been a growing shift toward digitization
and the Korea Heritage Service aims to implement digital methods for all cultural heritage assets in Korea from 2021 to 2030

Jamil Warney, who dominated Suwon, embraced his sluggish colleagues as well.
Seoul SK won 69-57 in the fourth round of the 2024-25 KCC professional basketball semifinal playoff against Suwon kt at Suwon kt Sonicboom Arena on the 29th.
Advance to the championship game for the first time in two years since the 2022-23 season. It is also the third championship game of his career for Warney. And on his own, he once again stood on the top stage.
Warney had 40 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, and two steals, his best performance. Because of Warney, who did not have the presence of Kim Sun-hyung (6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) and Ahn Young-joon (5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists), KT was able to overcome the jujube battle.
Warney said after the win, "It was a meaningful and turning point game. Game 3 was a game where everyone was bound to be disappointed. There was an aftermath until yesterday. I don't think the attack went well in Game 4 either. Still, all the players came together and played a good game. If we continue to do this, I think it will lead to good grades," he said.
Warney's 40 points on the day is his tie for the most points in a single playoff game. He has 40 points in the second round of the semifinal playoff against Changwon LG in the 2022-23 season.
Warney said, "I passed a lot in the third game, but the result was not good. Of course I'm hoping to save my teammates and play with them rather than score alone. "Today, I was able to score a lot because of the order of the coach (Jeon Hee-chul), so I increased my will to attack and my teammates' passes were good."
SK is a team represented by "Wony Go," but that alone cannot confirm the top spot in the regular league in KBL history. This is possible because Kim Sun-hyung and Ahn Young-joon are the core players. However, the two players' lackluster performance in the semifinal series is regrettable.
"The playoffs get to know each other well as they play the same team several times," Warney said. As a result, the score would not have come out well. The most important thing is concentration, hard work, and defense. It is more important and priority to make good use of this part and unite as one. Attacks may not go well. However, the fourth game showed good energy, so there was a good result," he said.
SK will play the championship game against LG from May 5. a difficult opponent. Warney should compete with 'best friend' Asem Maray and Darryl Monroe.

The K League 1 Wrap-Up: Suwon FC Secure Victory
and Gangwon FC Show Promise | OneFootballK League United
With plenty of highlights, as well as some interesting movement in the league table, columnist Nathan Sartain returns to talk about round eight of the 2025 K League 1 season
and Suwon FC delivered their first win of the season in thrilling fashion with a 3-2 triumph against high-flying Gimcheon Sangmu
they had some patches of excellent play against the military side
Gimcheon could have managed the game as excellently as they’re capable of
Yet Kim Eun-jung’s men would not allow that to happen
equalising nine-minutes after falling behind
before applying consistent pressure in search of a winner which
arrived courtesy of a powerful Lee Hyun-yong header
and continue their ambitions of climbing the table
FC Seoul and Daejeon Hana Citizen played out an entertaining 2-2 draw
and both teams will probably come away feeling like they’ve missed an opportunity
capitalising on some shaky defending from Seoul to go into the break 2-0 up
and in general looking like a team with an abundance of confidence
But it was a completely different story in the second period
and entirely deserving of getting the game back to 2-2
if it wasn’t for goalkeeper Lee Chang-geun
then Kim Gi-dong’s men would have actually completed the turnaround
and a match which on another day would have seen more than just four goals
there’s always the risk fans and players can’t fully celebrate some goals
sometimes nerves set in as soon as the ball crosses the line
“That looks tight.” Chances are if you’re a football fan
you’ve had these questions and statements run through your head multiple times over the course of a season
he had a hat-trick of goals chalked off/confirmed to be disallowed by the dreaded technology
one Oberdan during an assist - and once for a foul in the buildup
It was a greatly unfortunate slice of luck for the forward
who clearly thought at least one of his efforts should have stood
but he did eventually manage to get himself on the scoresheet via a retaken penalty
which in turn sealed a 2-1 victory for Pohang Steelers against FC Anyang
After three successive defeats without scoring
Gangwon FC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Gwangju FC
the slender scoreline doesn’t tell the full story
as the Bears had a number of fine opportunities to extend their lead
outperformed their opposition in the shooting department (12 shots to Gwangju’s five)
better-balanced performance from his Gangwon side
and will perhaps inspire some confidence going forward that he can get this squad playing higher up the pitch
is that they failed to capitalise on Daejeon’s round eight draw
A win today would have put the Griffins into second
just one point away from the league-leading Purples
so they’ll certainly rue the fact they couldn’t apply more potent pressure on the Gangwon box
And that’s about it for this week’s column
The only other game in the round saw Jeonbuk come from behind to draw 1-1 with Jeju SK
which keeps the Green Warriors in the top-half
and ensures the Tangerines stay ahead of both Suwon FC and Daegu FC

Life&Culture 'Culinary Class Wars' chefs cater to masses
Pop-up event at Starfield Suwon to be held through March 31
Fans of Netflix megahit "Culinary Class Wars" and gourmands who had trouble reserving a table at restaurants run by the chefs on the cooking reality show can now sample their dishes outside of their dining establishments.
Riding high on the show's fame, Starfield Suwon in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, just an hour from Seoul, is running a special food and beverage pop-up event dubbed "Bites Place Season 4" on the first floor of the shopping mall. The event, which does not require a reservation, runs through March 31.
Chefs Oh Jun-tak, Jang Ho-joon, David Lee and Choi Ji-hyung have filled the area with their culinary creations.
Oh, who runs a restaurant specializing in chicken dishes, offers dakgangjeong, or deep-friend boneless chicken meat, in four flavors -- seasoned, soy sauce, mala and garlic mayo. Visitors can also savor Jang's version of tsukune, or Japanese chicken meatballs, at the event.
Lee, known for his meat-focused fusion of Western and Korean dishes, has teamed up with burger restaurant Bored & Hungry to offer a burger featuring a special sauce and chuck flap tail. Only 20 will be sold each day. Meanwhile, Choi, who is known for serving up North Korean-style delicacies, is offering sundae -- a steamed Korean blood sausage stuffed with rice and vegetables -- and dumplings.
Convenience store chain 7-Eleven also announced Monday that it has teamed up with two chefs from "Cullinary Class Wars," stocking its shelves with their ready-to-eat meals.
They include Jung Ji-sun's donga pork, a soy sauce-braised pork belly, as well as Ahn Yu-seong's pollock roe and tamagoyaki -- japanese egg omelet -- gimbap, yubu chobap -- deep-fried tofu pockets stuffed with rice wine-seasoned rice -- and a sandwich made with pollock roe and tamagoyaki.

Suwon is renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage site
but it is also famous for its delectable regional dish
Suwon’s reputation for high-quality beef dates back to the mid-20th century
when a thriving cattle market in the area made top-grade beef readily available
This beef was marinated and grilled to perfection
turning into a nationwide culinary favorite
Kabojung is the most popular and successful
with three large buildings located close to each other
what truly sets it apart is its CEO Kim Oe-soon
who became Korea’s first food master selected by the Ministry of Agriculture
one must have received and preserved traditional food methods passed down through at least three generations and maintained the business for over 20 years
Kim's secret to success lies in her unique use of Sichuan pepper
a technique her grandmother taught her for marinating raw beef
While the taste and quality of Kabojung's galbi are indisputable
the restaurant also excels in its side dishes
and it’s hard to consider them as mere sides due to their exceptional quality
The prices at Kabojung may be higher than expected
with Korean beef ribs ranging from 69,000 won ($49.86) to 102,000 won per person
with marinated galbi at 61,000 won and unmarinated at 69,000 won
The unmarinated meats are pricier as they rely solely on their natural taste
and Kabojung uses only top-quality ribs for this
ordering more than one serving of galbi is typical
and it’s easy to spend over 200,000 won without noticing
But the unforgettable dining experience at Kabojung makes it worth every penny
Kabojung is open everyday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. throughout the year. For more information, visit www.kabojung.co.kr.

This interactive exhibition allows participants to explore and experience drinks from around the world.
Upon entry, you'll need to verify your age by providing identification, such as your passport, driver's license, or resident registration certificate.
Once you provide your ID, you'll receive a ticket that entitles you to four drinks from a booth of your choice.
The exhibition zone features seven booths, each themed after an Olympic sport, such as the wine piste, non-alcohol climbing gym, and soju archery range.
After sampling the four cups from the booth of your choice, scan the QR code on the leaflet you receive at entry with your phone to access an online site. There, you can rank the drinks you've tried as gold, silver, or bronze. Once you complete this process, you'll receive a badge as a gift.
Next, you can try to guess how others ranked the drinks. If your guesses are correct, you'll win additional merchandise. If you'd like to sample a different set of drinks from another booth, you can purchase a ticket at the kiosk machine.
A Ssomelier Contest takes place every day at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m..
In this contest, participants are challenged to identify the brands of four soju samples. Successfully naming all the brands will earn you a 10,000 won ($7.31) coupon for the food delivery app Baedal Minjok, a medal, and Ssomelier Certification.

South Korea's Son Jun-Ho gets emotional during a press conferenceProfimediaSouth Korea's Suwon FC have terminated midfielder Son Jun-Ho's (32) contract by mutual agreement after he was handed a lifetime ban by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) for his alleged involvement in match-fixing and bribery
the club said on Friday. He has denied the accusations made by Chinese authorities who announced on Tuesday that the South Korea international was among 38 players banned
Son, who had been playing for the Chinese Super League club Shandong Taishan FC
said he had given a false confession under duress to be freed from nearly 10 months of detention in harsh conditions
"With the idea that we can no longer leave our fans who have been supporting the players and the team all year in confusion
the club has accepted a request by Son to terminate his contract that he made out of consideration for his teammates and fans," the club said in a statement
Neither Son nor his agent could be immediately reached for comment
He had said he hoped to continue his career with the Korea Football Association and signed for Suwon FC after he returned from China in March.
But his prospects became uncertain after South Korean media reported on Thursday that the CFA had referred his case to football's global governing body FIFA, which was expected to review it for possible disciplinary action.
Will Suwon FC succeed in escaping from the last place in eight games. Coach Kim Eun-joong stressed that the FC Anyang expedition is an important road.
Suwon FC is scheduled for the ninth round of Hana Bank K League 1 2025 against FC Anyang at Anyang Stadium on the 19th.
Currently, Suwon FC remains at the bottom with one win, four draws and three losses (7 points). In the previous league game, he reported his first win in the league after a slugfest against Kim Cheon-sang. It is the first time in seven games. While changing the atmosphere, he will escape the bottom through consecutive league wins.
Ahead of the game, head coach Kim Eun-joong said, "Even though I played well, I haven't been able to bring results. There was a part where the players were also struggling, but we were able to win the previous game by continuing to prepare in our style. Previously, there were cases where the first goal could not bring results. In the match against Gimcheon, he said, "I have a multi-goal and even a result, so I'm positive."
First win in seven games. Coach Kim Eun-joong was rather calm. He said, "The joy of victory is one day. Have a long way to go. I can't afford to enjoy the joy of winning," he said.
The opponent Anyang may be unfamiliar to the current squad. The last face-off was in 2020, when it was in K League 2. Coach Kim Eun-joong said, "It's my first time dealing with Anyang. The energy is so high. I emphasized that part. We also have to win here today. It will be more difficult as it is Anyang home. "The players have to overcome it," he stressed.
