this time starting at the slightly later time of 3:30pm
and the nap goes to the Michael Halford and Tracey Collins-trained Karazhal
who can get back to winning ways by taking the third race
the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race
The juvenile was a well beaten last of seven on his first start
he showed much improved form by winning a maiden at this venue
and just a month later he returned to this track for a nursery and ran a superb race to be beaten just three parts of a length into fourth place behind Nyman
He was giving 8lbs to the winner that day and even accounting for Wayne Hassett’s 5lb claim aboard Nyman
which should be more than enough to reverse the form
He may face tougher tasks from other quarters
but his latest run was another step in the right direction and if he can continue in that sort of form
The most interesting of his rivals is the once-raced Donna Nook
who comes here off a near five-month absence
Ger Lyons’ filly contested a decent maiden that day
she was noted making good late progress into eighth place behind And So To Bed
The extra half-furlong of this race ought to be a positive for the Juddmonte filly
but she has a tricky draw and must stay in touch early
a nursery winner having his first outing for Gavin Cromwell
though his suitability to the step up to seven furlongs is unknown
Joseph O’Brien and Wayne Hassett can take the following race
the Now Racing Every Wednesday At Dundalk Nursery
the filly ran into plenty of trouble in running and
did well to be beaten just four lengths behind Ja’marr
She won’t need to improve to be competitive here and

Lot 308 in the sales ring at the Goffs February Sale
A draft of seven lots from the Aga Khan Studs, withdrawn from the Goffs February Sale following the recent passing of His Highness The Aga Khan, will be offered Feb. 12 in an online sale on Goffs.com
Goffs Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "It is always a privilege to offer His Highness's beautiful horses at Goffs
but this sale will be especially poignant given the circumstances
As usual the seven make up a very appealing draft and present the chance to buy into some of the iconic pedigrees he nurtured over so many years."
The sale will be held as a timed online auction with bidding open from noon-2 p.m. (local time). Pedigrees, photos, and videos of each lot can be viewed here

Keep an eye on the market to see if Jaafel is popular as that could be a huge sign if he’s going to go close
Nibiru has a great record at this course and he’s highly effective when he’s on his game
He’s dropping in trip and he sets a really good standard
I can see why people are making a case for Church Mountain after his win at Dundalk last week
Elsas Pride should go close but the draw in stall 17 isn’t ideal so I have to oppose her
I’ve landed on Beauparc for Gerard Keane
She hadn’t ran for about a year until her third at Naas in August and you can put a line through her last run at Leopardstown
She should be suited to the surface and she’s in stall one which is a bonus
She could be well handicapped off a mark of 65
Gesture has a brilliant all-weather record and he’s a dual course and distance winner
He stays well and I can see Shane Foley sitting second or third then making his move late on
He could have the most upside off a mark of 86
Stephen Thorne has Wizard Of Odds after he left the Charles O’Brien yard
He beat King Thistle at Down Royal earlier this year and he’s making his handicap debut
He won at Dundalk in September and he’s open to further improvement
He’s an unknown and he can overcome his draw of stall 15
is interesting back on the all-weather surface but I’m with Akeela
She won at Naas in the summer and there is more to come from her
She’s unexposed and I’m forgiving her run at Listowel last time out when she had a bad draw
Alan Persse is on board and claiming 7lbs too which is a bonus
Mary Bagot should be all the better after her recent run at Dundalk and she’s got a race in her
Aisling Oscar could also go close but she’s got a bad draw in stall 17
I’m on Mags for Kieran Patrick Cotter
She ran a cracker behind Black Storm a couple of weeks ago and she handles the surface
She should be hard to beat and she ran into a good one in Black Storm last time out
In a tough race I’m going with the unexposed runner in Just For One Day
Mark Molloy’s runner won at the Curragh last time out in September and there could be more to come from her
All of her family have polytrack form so she should handle the surface
An opening mark of 72 with James Ryan claiming 3lbs is more than workable
There are question marks about a lot of these runners so I’ll take a chance on Supreme Success
The Joseph O’Brien yard are in great form but she didn’t run too well at Fairyhouse last time out
You can forgive that run and her second at Gowran Park before that proved there’s something there
