the leafy municipality of Bertrange or Bartreng
with less emphasis on cars and more on pedestrians
The population of Bertrange is 8,892 (as at Jan 2024)
with more than 50% of the population hailing from another country in Europe including French
Bertrange was a pitstop in Roman times on the roads from Trier to Reims and Arlon
and excavations have found evidence of Treveri Gallic tribe inhabitants in the area
probably hailing from the name of the village leader
and in old documents the village is referred to as Bertharingen
the village was affected by plague and war in the 17th century
which reduced its population significantly to some 55 houses
The lords of Schauwenburg who held the land
departed to Alsace after the French Revolution
and many of the inhabitants of Bertrange emigrated to the United States or eastward into Europe
In 1850 the village had about 200 houses and 1,000 inhabitants but it grew in size as a neighbourhood from the 1960s onward
Bertrange and Strassen were originally one municipality from 1823 to 1849
The war memorial in the municipality includes a stone monument depicting a young man bound
It was designed to remind us of the young Luxembourgish men forced to fight for the Germans in September 1942
Outside of some city zones, Bertrange was one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Luxembourg, although prices have recently fallen, particularly on apartments. Prices listed on Wort Immo as the price per square metre of real estate in the area are:
skip and jump (well a few kilometres) from both the Belle Etoile and City Concorde shopping centres
The former is home to Cactus (and a Cactus Hobbi) plus all the main high street stores
There's also a Delhaize supermarket at the Helfent end of Bertrange
In the Bourmicht business area you’ll find a Lidl (with possibly the friendliest supermarket staff in Luxembourg)
Am Wenkel in the village sells gifts and cards
At the Helfent end of Bertrange there a few clothes shops like C&A
selling white and electric goods including a good stock of tablets
There’s a Ketterthill for blood tests at 5 rue des Champs, and for cracked windscreens you can head to Autoglas, who can liaise with your insurance provider. Praised by reviewers for its good customers service, DIL can repair your mobile phone or device
There’s a primary school in the centre of the village and you can find more details here
On the edge of the commune you’ll find the European School Lux II and next door
and in nearby Merl there’s a huge number of secondary schools opposite the park including the Athenée de Luxembourg
Lycée Michel Rodange and International School Gaston Thorn
The commune runs a number of adult education courses to learn several languages but also in the arts and social sciences
Line 8 to Limpertsberg and Lycée Michel Lucius
and line 16 links the latter with the city and the airport
The train station for Strassen/Bertrange is really in Bertrange
next to the cemetery on the aptly named rue du Chemin de Fer
Trains run to Luxembourg City or in the opposite direction to Mamer
Ruffbus Berti is a seven-seat electric minibus available from Monday to Thursday 7.00 to 20.00
to any location in Bertrange including Les Thermes swimming pool
Reservations should be made at least half an hour before departure by calling freephone 8002 1717
Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult
and the bus cannot be used as an alternative for school transport
Adapto, provides a transport service for wheelchair users. There are 5 Vel’oh stations in Bertrange
There is plenty of parking around the Atert Centre but be aware that you must use a blue disc and wardens patrol it regularly
There are Chargy stations at the Atert parking and at Beim Schlass
Schauwenburg Castle occupied by feudal lords
notably Henri de Bertrange who sealed the “letter of liberty” of Echternach in 1226
the year inscribed at the main entrance is 1710
but the east and north wings were built in the 16th century and have windows from the Renaissance period
a new castle was built in 1785 by Baron Jacques-Philippe-Joseph d’Huart for his son
who became the mayor of Bertrange several times between 1805 and 1837
which renovated and adapted it to become the Colnet d’Huart Foundation
once located near the route de Longwy in an area known as Gréiwelsbarrière
was destroyed at the end of the Second World War
which belonged to the castle and was used to store produce from farmers given for the tithe(land tax)
Guddenshaff is mentioned in the land register of 1824
whilst at the highest point of the municipality you can find the Beaufort farm
which also belonged to Jean-Francois-Joseph d’Huart and is listed in the records in 1824
It was later used as a forge by Guillaume Pescatore
ArcA – Musek a Konscht welcomes musicians, students and professionals bringing music and art to life in Bertrange. It offers music classes at both group and individual lessons
A special work of art was created by Italian artist Ivo Batocco for this centre
The Bartrenger Hunn is a familiar icon to locals
The harvest was traditionally celebrated in Bertrange with the Hunnefest
and the rooster is a symbol for the commune
Artist Pierre Renard created the bronze sculpture of a rooster surrounded by hens in 2004
The cultural and sports centre Atert has a sports hall accommodating 1,500 spectators
You’ll find a whole host of clubs from football and basketball to tennis and table-tennis, Aikido, cycling, volleyball and petanque in Bertrange. You can find information and contact details on them, here
There’s also a youth club on rue de la Fontaine, which amongst other activities, organises the local Buergbrennen events. Youngsters can also join the local scouts and guides troop
Skateboarders can head to the small but nicely maintained skatepark on Rue du Chemin de Fer
There are several playgrounds in Bertrange running along the side of the river
For youngsters needing to let off steam, Zig Zag's indoor playground hosts a regular mother and baby/toddler group, The Little Gym are also offers dance and movement classes (both on Rue Pletzer)
runs for 12.7km from Kleinbettingen to Strassen via Bertrange
There’s a 7.3km circular blue flag route
in the Ënneschte Bësch between Bertrange and Leudelange
starting at the forest car park on the road between the two places
The forest is community-owned and the terrain fairly flat
so it’s an easy walk and possible with a robust stroller
L'Epicerie du coeur de meule has a place selling great cheeses and cured meats plus other speciality deli-style goods. They have a terrace and restaurant serving breakfast and lunch
and have a good selection of takeaway sandwiches
but has a very varied menu with a great selection of seafood dishes
Out on the green, close to the river and playground, you’ll find Brasserie B13
with a sunny terrace but also wall to floor glass windows for winter
Tuck into London fish and chips (without the newspaper) or a juicy steak
but also just a glass of wine or a coffee outside of main dining hours
a family run Chinese restaurant which also does great sushi and has two small terrraces as well as indoor dining
It's not far from the village centre (across the street by the cemetery)
With a sunny terrace, close to another play park along the river from Bertrange village, and near to Helfent, you’ll find Lentz Parc
which serves up snails and croquettes for starters

Cédric Gonnet is country director of Delhaize Luxembourg
the oldest of the Belgian chain’s integrated shops in Luxembourg
celebrated its 20th anniversary on Thursday 24 October
The country director of Delhaize Luxembourg
looks back at the strategy that has made the brand such a success in the country and unveils the outlook for the future
How do you feel about celebrating 20 years of Delhaize Bertrange
it’s a great source of pride: 20 years serving the population
in a world where companies appear and disappear on a fleeting basis
and it’s a real pleasure to see that our customers honour us with their loyalty
and what are your prospects for expansion over the next few years
We estimate that over the next two years we’ll open five new shops to cover areas where we don’t yet have a presence
I’m not going to reveal the addresses just yet
but we’ll be making announcements in January
What impact has the arrival of Leclerc had on your business and the market
Leclerc isn’t a new player in the strict sense of the word
as they bought existing shops that already had their customer base
So it’s not as if a new shop was opening right next door to yours
It hasn’t created any imbalance and we haven’t noticed any change with this arrival
are renowned for their aggressive pricing policies
How does Delhaize Luxembourg intend to respond to this competition
Does quality still matter to Luxembourg households
We are addressing this price issue through our own brands
We offer a wide range of products under our Delhaize brands
Taste of Inspirations (top quality) or Petit Lion (low price)
we are able to offer quality products at lower prices than national brands
we give the customer the choice of opting for a national brand to which they are attached
or of trying a Delhaize product and discovering that they will also benefit from excellent quality
at a price slightly lower than that of the national brands
What initiatives are you putting in place to reduce your environmental impact
The main objective is to reduce our energy consumption
We are therefore working to improve our refrigeration systems
which account for a large proportion of consumption in our shops
We are also investing in equipment that requires less energy
such as machines that can recycle hot air into cold
we work with the owners to install photovoltaic panels
as we recently did in Schengen at the Borders centre
These are all small measures that enable us to contribute to reducing energy consumption
food waste and therefore to preserving the planet
How does Delhaize Luxembourg intend to adapt to changes in the retail market
particularly in terms of digitalisation and e-commerce
we don’t have any e-commerce projects in the short term
we’re banking on a physical network across the country
with shops located within five minutes of all Luxembourg residents
We obviously have a strong presence around Luxembourg City
but we also have a strong presence in the north of the country
as demonstrated by the recent opening of our shop in Bettborn
because we are convinced that there is still a future for physical retailing
We believe that people are still looking for human interaction and that not everything can be done behind a screen
Delhaize Belgium has announced the conversion of all its shops into franchises
Why is Delhaize Luxembourg maintaining its mixed model (franchised/integrated)
The Luxembourg model is not comparable to the Belgian model
the social dialogue is constructive and the country continues to develop
enabling our shops to see their sales grow year on year
the unions are concerned about the possible deterioration in working conditions for employees in Delhaize franchises
We have had franchise shops for 25 or 30 years
and there has never been a problem with these establishments
If these shops didn’t offer their employees decent working conditions
it’s essential to offer them a pleasant working environment and decent pay
The fact that they stay means that the shops are doing a good job in this respect
what are the main advantages of the Luxembourg market for supermarkets
because the population is constantly growing
We live in a country with 650,000 inhabitants
That’s a lot of people to satisfy in terms of food products
There are also the cross-border commuters who come to eat in Luxembourg every day
and in particular the speed of development of the tramway and the construction work
What is Delhaize’s market share in Luxembourg
and how does it compare with that of its main competitors
Unlike other countries that collect sales figures from all retailers
making it difficult to know the position of each player
We believe that there is a historic leader
and that we are one of the retailers fighting for second place
We tend to say that in terms of presence in the country
What are Delhaize Luxembourg’s development plans for the short and medium term
Our first objective is to upgrade our shops
We have carried out a number of remodelling projects in previous years
We're going to complete this process next year with our biggest shop in Luxembourg
I mean completely redesigning the shop to create a more modern
which will enable us to showcase our product range
spokesperson for the judicial administration told the Luxemburger Wort
RTL had previously reported that workers in the area found bags after bumping against an old
The skulls have now been taken to the National Health Laboratory (LNS) for further examination and to be dated
preliminary analysis indicates that the skulls are very old and not the outcome of a recent violent crime
But more precise information will be available only after a detailed investigation
"We will wait for the investigations and then see what happens," said Eippers

On the morning of 16 October, construction workers made an unusual discovery. When they hit a rotten wooden door in the Rue des Champs in Bertrange, they were greeted by a bag filled with three skulls among other remains.
an investigation has been ongoing to find out who the bones belong to
The prosecutor’s office was able to exclude a violent crime relatively quickly
In Bertrange one of the possible tracks leads us back to bones that were taken from a graveyard in the 70s or 80s
giving some people the opportunity to slip some bones into their pockets
The municipality’s budget plan for 1912 included 13,000 francs to be invested into a new graveyard
Since the latter was located further outside of Bertrange
a hearse was purchased on 26 October 1925 for a price of 6,210 francs
The old cemetery was located in the immediate vicinity of the church In Bertange
the graves were removed to expand the street
The new cemetery was renovated once more at the beginning of the 1970s
Thus it is possible that the bones were stolen or taken away during these construction periods
The prosecutor’s office confirmed that the examining magistrate has taken these statements into account
therefore the bones must have originated from an old cemetery nearby
the spokesperson added that no possible investigative tracks will be excluded at the moment
Since the results from the National Health Laboratory (LNS) are not in yet

builders working on a property on Rue des Champs found a rotten wooden door when using their machinery
As one of the workers sought to clear the bags away
Initial reports say the bags held three human skulls - a fact later confirmed by the public prosecutor's office
The skulls have been sent to the National Health Laboratory (LNS) to be examined and to have their age determined
First impressions say the bones are relatively old
The public prosecutor's office has ruled out violent crime at this stage of the investigation
including the technical teams and the judicial police

The first Century 21 branch to open in the grand duchy (Bertrange) will be managed by Elena Beiner
The Benelux branch of the property group has only been active in Luxembourg since February 2024
but is already opening its first local branch
The aim is to build up a network of ten branches by 2030 specialising in the residential property market
Will the arrival of Century 21 be like the swallow heralding the return of spring to the property market
the group has big ambitions for the Luxembourg market: under the leadership of Elena Beiner--who has moved over from Re/Max
where she worked as a freelancer from 2020 until now--the aim is to open ten branches in order to establish itself as a leader in the residential property market
Century 21 entered the Belgian market in 1994 and is only now coming to the grand duchy
“Luxembourg is a country with a flourishing economy
and its property market offers many challenges,” says company director Laurent Lejeune
“This is therefore a crucial step for Century 21 Benelux
Our arrival should undeniably mark the start of a new era for Luxembourg property
we are convinced that this market has many opportunities to offer
So the time is right for us to take this carefully considered step.”
Beiner has a degree in real estate economics and finance and is a certified luxury home marketing specialist
“I worked in commodities trading in the financial sector for 17 years in Switzerland,” she explains
I joined another trading company in Luxembourg
Having completed an executive master of business administration at IE Business School
where the entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged
I always had the desire to start a new page in my life
where I worked as a freelancer for three years in a franchise in Luxembourg
Despite these two unusual years in the Luxembourg property market
ranking third in the network in which I was working
I wanted to seize this opportunity and open the first Century 21 agency in Luxembourg.”
Despite the depressed state of the market in Luxembourg
Beiner believes that now is the right time to get started
“Even when the property market is complicated
there are advantages to starting this business by opening the first Century 21 agency in Luxembourg,” she says
“The market is not at a standstill; it is in decline
that doesn’t mean that there aren’t opportunities to be seized
it allows us to focus not only on the business but also on the organisation
it’s in a complicated market that customers are looking for the best services
The best time to offer our customers excellent service is precisely in a difficult market
Although the property market can be challenging
By launching this business during a downturn
we’ll be well positioned to capitalise on that recovery when the economy picks up again.”
And to stand out from the many competitors still active in the market
Beiner is counting on Century 21’s “very good reputation” in Belgium
we’ve been voted Brand of the Year by consumers two years running
it is important to have a solid presence and reputation in neighbouring countries
which has been the case in Belgium for 30 years with over 120 branches and in France since 1987 with over 960 branches.”

the average price per square metre for a flat in future state of completion (VEFA) is above €10,000
the average price of the same square metre is €8,877
Although property prices are slowing down despite a general upward trend
the price per square metre exceeds €10,000 in two communes
According to the latest figures from the housing observatory
Luxembourg City and Bertrange top the house price league
both for property that has already been built and for a flat that is in the future state of completion
The price per square metre remained the highest in Luxembourg City with an average price of €11,413 per square metre for a flat already built and €13,839 per square metre for a flat in the future state of completion
the average was €11,154 for a flat already built and €13,457 for a flat in the future state of completion
where the average price per square metre is €10,860 and €13,520 per square metre respectively
It should be noted that the municipality of Strassen probably has similar prices
but the latest figures from the housing observatory are not detailed enough to confirm this
Two communes experience prices per square metre above the €10,000 mark for houses that has already been built
in the VEFA market six communes (Bertrange
Steinsel and Walferdange) show an average price per square metre above this symbolic mark
Walferdange at €12,510 per square metre places next after the communes of Luxembourg City and Bertrange
it is important to take into account the number of transactions carried out over the period
the domains administration registry reports 13 transactions of a flat in future state of completion between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022
This means that the average price per square metre can rise in the case of the sale of several flats within a new high-end real estate project
The price range for the municipality of Walferdange is between €9,900 and €15,285 per square metre
the further away the municipality is from the capital
the municipalities of Winseler (€4,847 euros per square meter)
Weiswampach (€5,387 per square meter) and Wiltz (€5,419 per square meter) have the most affordable prices on the property market
the municipality of Weiswampach with an average price of €5,276 per square metre
then Parc Hosingen with €5,764 per square metre and finally Grosbous with €6,001 per square metre are the most affordable
the average price per square metre for an existing flat is €8,344 and €8,887 for a flat under construction

The annual “trick or treat” event was organised by the American Women's Club Luxembourg (AWCL) for its members and children living in the area to bring a little bit of the US to Luxembourg
This year more than 400 youngsters took part
witches and pirates among other creepy Halloween characters
Members of the AWCL distributed sweets among participating homes and also sold hotdogs and soft drinks to ensure the youngsters didn't overdose on sugar
Altogether, the event helped to raise more than 4,000 euros for the Fisher House Foundation, providing free or low cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centres.
“The trick or treat event gives the children living overseas a chance to participate in one of the American traditions,” AWCL President Connie Gomez told wort.lu/en.
This year the event was organised by new member Lilla Schotner. The AWCL welcomes new members of any nationality to assist at its events. Its next fundraiser will be “Gifts for Kids”, in which firms and individuals can sponsor St Nicolas gifts for underpriviledged children to be distributed on December 6.

but that's exactly what Bertrange is doing this weekend.23/09/2015Share(ADW) It's not often a town celebrates the end of roadworks with a big 2-day street entertainment party of music and dance
but that's exactly what Bertrange is doing this weekend
as the town proudly inaugurates its rather unique “Shared Space” concept right in the heart of the commune
an area where traffic and pedestrians can blissfully co-exist dispensing of road markings
Bertrange has been at it for two years now
transforming the centre from a run-of-the-mill town centre
A new restaurant/bar with a terrace is a place you can sit
Entering by car into the new shared space is made obvious by a kind of Bertrange “monument” at each end
plus the road surface changes to a sandy colour
In fact that's a bit how it feels – like a sandpit
no borders apart from the trees lining the “road”
The junction outside the town hall is an interesting one to negotiate right now and where the priority to the right rule was never more important
Watching traffic gingerly fathom their way through right now is quite entertaining but once people get used to the idea
Only time will tell if this open shared space is used respectfully by everyone
or whether it becomes a bit of a chaos and road markings appear again
there is a feeling of tranquility as you cruise through the area
which of course is what the designers were aiming for – let's hope it stays that way
This Friday and Saturday slap-bang in the middle of the shared space the event “Sharing Muisc in Shared Space” takes place
Friday's programme kicks off at 4.30pm with the official opening
music and dance hitting the streets at 6pm
it will be time for local cover band “The Noisemakers” to take to the stage
On Saturday everything begins at 3pm with street entertainment
and “Bands rocking in shared space” entertain the public from 4pm
FOX and The Disliked will take to the stage
So if you haven't experienced Bertrange's rather original shared space concept
maybe this weekend is the ideal time to do it

the average price of a square metre in the capital was €12,577
(Photo: Matic Zorman/Archives Masion Moderne)
the average price per square metre of existing flats in Luxembourg increased by 6.7% compared to the previous quarter and by 19.1% compared to the second quarter of 2020
the latest property price figures published by the housing observatory (based on notarised deeds) show an upward trend in property prices in Luxembourg
for existing flats (assimilated to the old market)
"the increase in the average price per m² reached +6.7% compared to the previous quarter and even more so +19.1% compared to the second quarter of 2020"
one can read on the new website of the housing observatory
The interpretation of the price increase must take into account the location of the sold properties however
"This very strong rise in the average price per m² must be contextualised
since it corresponds in part to a shift in sales towards the capital and its suburbs
the most expensive areas in the country,” indicates the Ministry of Housing
Another indicator that can give an idea of the prices charged on the country's real estate market is the offers and prices announced for the sale of flats according to the communes
the Observatory bases itself on the advertisements published on housing website Immotop
which provides real estate advertisements in Luxembourg
an average advertised price per square metre of €12,577 for the capital is observed
the 7,808 posts advertising a flat showed an average price of €1,003,204
the municipality of Luxembourg does not appear to be the most expensive in the country
The capital is ranked behind the municipality of Bertrange
which posted an average price per square metre of €12,743
Above €10,000 per square metre line up the municipalities of Mamer (€11,119)
Strassen (€10,662) and Niederanven (€10,183)
Niederanven even appears to be one of the most expensive municipalities to buy property in
the housing observatory listed 80 property advertisements with an average advertised price of €1,478,241
the municipality of Weiswampach has the lowest average advertised price in the country
the average advertised price per square metre nationwide over the same period was €9,972
The average advertised price of an existing flat nationwide was €862,438
The incident occurred at about 9:15pm, and officers were quickly on the scene as the police station is located virtually opposite the church.
However, the fire brigade was then called out to aid quick access the bell tower.
Two firemen followed the man’s path up the scaffolding and eventually found him actually inside the bell tower.
He was immediately apprehended and discovered to be drunk. The culprit has been placed in pre-trial detention for posing danger to himself and others.
The police report also stated that a second person also attempted to climb the scaffolding, but climbed down before the police arrived and fled the scene.
In September, RTL published an interview with alleged jihadist Steve Duarte
Asselborn spoke of six people suspected to have left Luxembourg for Syria
RTL came across the names of other individuals thought to be jihadists in Syria or Iraq
a young man nicknamed "Luxembourgish brother" who
attended primary school in Bertrange and left to join the insurgents in 2013 at the age of 22
The information was revealed at the trial of Jean-Louis Denis
a Belgian who recruited fighters for the jihad
Denis was sentenced to five years in prison for participating in a terrorist organisation
He served his sentence and has since regained his freedom
These documents were made available to RTL by a Belgian colleague and journalist at Het Last Newsblad
Denis had regular contact with foreigners who wanted to go to Syria from Europe
The documents showed how people were recruited in Luxembourg
who was arrested in Canach in July 2014 and extradited to Spain
continued their radicalisation in Brussels
was undergoing further training in the Belgian capital
he explained he had met "brothers" who convinced him to go to Syria
He travelled to Syria from Brussels via Turkey in early 2013 to join the al-Nusra front
which was already active in Syria before the emergence of ISIS

Although the authorities believe him to have died in May 2013 in Aleppo
he was sentenced in absentia to 10 years imprisonment under French law

The police conveyed that the driver suffered injuries in the process
and pictures from the scene reveal that significant damage was caused to both the vehicle and the crossing gate
The incident happened at about 6.30pm in front of the school located next to the “Centre Attert” and the flames were reported to have damaged a wooden roof, a storage room and the building’s façade. Luckily however, nobody was injured in the fire.
Police are unclear as to whether or not the fire was a case of arson and an investigation has now been ordered.
Anyone who was in the area of the Bertrange school at about 6.30pm on Wednesday and may have seen something suspicious should call the police immediately on the emergency number: 113.
The fire however did not cause enough damage to close the school and no classrooms were affected. Local authorities have stated that all classes will run as normal on Thursday morning.
Sunday's police report included an incident of drunk and disorderly behaviour at the winter market in Bertrange
during which one person was arrested and taken to a cell to sober up
video footage of the incident depicts a police officer twice smashing the man's head against the window of a police van whilst attempting to put the man in handcuffs
The individual was then taken to a drunk tank
the man in question has been identified as Ben Schronen
who made himself known to police in 2021 when he joined the anti-Covid protesters rioting at the capital's Christmas market
and later outside the private homes of politicians such as Xavier Bettel and Corinne Cahen
Our colleagues at RTL 5Minutes have attempted to make contact with Schronen
The police press office confirmed they were aware of the video
but declined to make a statement following RTL's enquiries
and referred any further queries to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP)

Bertrange has the highest average prices for new apartments in all of Luxembourg
The square-metre price is estimated to be around €11,790
which means that Bertrange surpassed the capital's average of €11,469 in 2020
the cost per m2 went as high as €15,353 in Bertrange compared to €14,217 in Luxembourg City
Luxembourg City meanwhile remains the most expensive location in terms of existing apartments

and it is highly likely that the scale will be tipped into another direction again in the near future
the police were called to a supermarket on Route de Longwy in Bertrange following reports of theft
A patrol was able to intercept the suspect
it was discovered that the thief had been previously involved in similar incidents
The perpetrator was then detained by orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office
Two further arrests were carried out on Route de Thionville in Bonnevoie after police received reports of a man with a weapon
Officers took two suspects into custody and located the weapon in the vicinity
A search of the two suspects yielded amounts of cocaine
while the other was in possession of tablets
as well as an unidentified substance the individual had attempted to hide in his mouth
Officers subsequently ordered a scan of the second suspect
which showed further substances hidden within his body
Both individuals were arrested by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office

Towns and villages across the country will be lip up when bonfires of wood, old Christmas trees and hay are ignited as darkness sets, with street processions and other activities hosted by many communes over the course of the afternoon.
The old tradition is meant to chase away the spirits of the cold season by figuratively burning winter. In many towns, newlyweds or couples set to marry that year light the bonfire, which often comes in the shape of a large cross.
With part of the Pétrusse valley in Luxembourg City blocked because of the new Blue Bridge, there will be no bonfire in the City centre this year. However, to find out where your nearest “Buergbrennen” celebrations will take place, have a look at our complete list below:
