The needs assessment was undertaken as a baseline for an intervention undertaken by War Child in partnership with Copil
Familie (CCF Moldova) in Anenii Noi and Donduseni districts of Moldova
Prompted by the local authorities' request of CCF for support
this intervention is designed to provide families access to food needs to avoid them resorting to negative coping strategies
The beneficiaries were all referred to CCF by the local authorities
who had requested CCF's support in this intervention
Both Ukrainian refugees and members of the Moldovan host community were targeted for the intervention
Data was collected from 118 beneficiaries selected to receive vouchers (67 beneficiaries in Anenii Noi and 51 beneficiaries in Donduseni)
a baseline survey was administered to all participating heads of households
The surveys were collected between 14 and 16 July 2022 in Donduseni and between 18 and 21 July 2022 in Anenii Noi
This report presents the main findings from the baseline assessments

The intervention is designed to provide families access to goods and services to meet their basic food needs to mitigate against the risk that such families resort to negative coping strategies
Vulnerable Ukrainian refugees and Moldovan host communities were targeted for the intervention
Criteria for eligibility into the program included households with children under the age of three
pregnant women in the last trimester of pregnancy
or caregivers with disabilities or with chronic health problems

and endline data was collected from 93 participants in Anenii Noi and 66 participants in Donduseni

The company is an investment of MDL 35 million and is part of the Romanian group Ostazar
The investor was convinced to come to Moldova in 2017 by Pavel Filip
