New laws were implemented a year ago. A 14-year-old age limit and an obligation to wear a helmet became a legal necessity for people using fat bikes, however, authorities have struggled to enforce the laws thus far This came after there was a significant increase in accidents with fat bikes that resulted in serious injuries. A total of 96 people were taken to hospital in a single week at the end of September and the beginning of October of last year as a result of accidents involving fat bikes About us | Advertise with us | Contact us Contract development and manufacturing organisation Delpharm has acquired a European pharmaceutical manufacturing facility from Astellas Delpharm has acquired the Meppel pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Netherlands from Astellas The 31,600 square meter facility produces some 40 million finished solid dosage forms each year Meppel will be used to manufacture products for Astellas according to the terms of the original agreement “We are delighted to further expand our operations in the Netherland with this [third] site,” commented Nicolas Ragot The acquisition will strengthen the CDMO’s position in the Netherlands, where it already owns a manufacturing facility in Bladel and an injectable drug development centre in Leiden Delpharm operates pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities at 11 sites in France The company employs more than 6,500 people generating revenues of €1.1 billion in 2024 Delpharm will continue to manufacture the products currently made at the plant in Meppel and will deliver them to Astellas” Astellas announced its decision to sell the Meppel facility in May 2023 Delpharm will continue to manufacture the products currently made at the plant in Meppel and will deliver them to Astellas The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed “This collaboration between Delpharm and Astellas will allow Astellas to utilise a high-quality and efficient outsourced manufacturing system in Meppel,” the Astellas statement said , , , By No comments yet All subscriptions include online membership giving you access to the journal and exclusive content By By Comment *document.getElementById("comment").setAttribute( "id" "ac3d1e28962da6111094cea1ff73206b" );document.getElementById("a9d92917df").setAttribute( "id" Write for us | Advertise with us European Pharmaceutical Review is published by: Russell Publishing Ltd.Court LodgeHogtrough HillBrasted © Russell Publishing Limited Website development by e-Motive Media Limited Necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the website to function properly This category only includes cookies that ensures basic functionalities and security features of the website These cookies do not store any personal information CookieDescriptioncookielawinfo-checkbox-advertising-targetingThe cookie is set by GDPR cookie consent to record the user consent for the cookies in the category "Advertising & Targeting".cookielawinfo-checkbox-analyticsThis cookie is set by GDPR Cookie Consent WordPress Plugin The cookie is used to remember the user consent for the cookies under the category "Analytics".cookielawinfo-checkbox-necessaryThis cookie is set by GDPR Cookie Consent plugin The cookie is used to store the user consent for the cookies in the category "Necessary".cookielawinfo-checkbox-performanceThis cookie is set by GDPR Cookie Consent WordPress Plugin The cookie is used to remember the user consent for the cookies under the category "Performance".PHPSESSIDThis cookie is native to PHP applications The cookie is used to store and identify a users' unique session ID for the purpose of managing user session on the website The cookie is a session cookies and is deleted when all the browser windows are closed.viewed_cookie_policyThe cookie is set by the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin and is used to store whether or not user has consented to the use of cookies It does not store any personal data.zmember_loggedThis session cookie is served by our membership/subscription system and controls whether you are able to see content which is only available to logged in users By: Kristin Brooks Use of this constitutes acceptance of our privacy policy The material on this site may not be reproduced except with the prior written permission of Rodman Media Police have arrested five minors who are suspected of hitting or pinching several people in Meppel, Drenthe. The yacht's last comprehensive refit was in 2018 which saw a complete overhaul of all her racing and sailing systems lightweight carbon rig and boom that shaved 500kg of her overall weight This follows the relaunch of Shamrock V earlier this month. The 36.4-metre is the only wooden J Class in the world and recently underwent the most comprehensive rebuild in her 94-year history. My girlfriend and I are training with CrossFit since August 2009. My name is Sierk Rijkeboer and am the owner of CrossFit Meppel personal trainer and sport massage course in the last 5 years Last august I went to Chievres (Belgium) to participate at the level 1 Certification and in November my girlfriend and I are going to Milano to participate at the level 1 Certification This will be the second time I will participate at a level 1 Certification because I want to know more about the Olympic Weightlifting techniques I have a background as fitness trainer and personal trainer in several facilities I have noticed that the guidance of the members in the conventional gyms is very little What I want is to give the best to the members and see results After learning more about CrossFit I fell in love with it This is a program that everybody needs to follow So the main reason I started my own CrossFit gym is to give people the very best and make them see that life is much more interesting when you are truly fit Together with my girlfriend Carry Zegstroo we want to built a CrossFit community in Meppel Is it difficult to open a Crossfit gym in the Netherlands Starting a CrossFit gym in the Netherlands should not be so difficult But due to government rules and that kind of crap it takes a long time to get all the paperwork done We struggled the most with finding the right location (not too expensive and where it is allowed to start) The local government is really picky about where you start and about what you exactly want to do (CrossFit is still very unknown in the Netherlands) At the moment there are already 4 gyms in the Netherlands We have a good contact with all of the other CrossFit gyms in the Netherlands We started to visit each other and have a kind of Dutch CrossFit meeting Just the surprise of doing a different ones every day is the thrill I think…. How many participants do you have at Crossfit Meppel We are still finishing the last construction work and waiting for some orders to come in 8 of them are in training and the other 15 are starting in january Some do crossfit as a support for their sport (soccer) for other people it is their way of being fit and lose weight (young and old) I want beginners to start with 2 times a week and in the future 3 times a week This because I guarantee results (so I expect them to train hard at least 2 times a week) Is it the same motivation in Netherlands and in United States And the motivation: once they have done it they are really in to it When you meet someone interested by Crossfit What looks like the first contact at Crossfit Meppel If they are interested they should make an appointment and I give them a short introduction about what we do in general and what a workout looks like here people can come in and try a workout (with the proper technique off course) If they are really interested they can become a member I don’t have a year membership or something like that Just like CrossFit Gymert I want a commitment of 3 months After that they can choose if they want to continue or quit Do you want to be the best or do you want to goove around and have no results We do this as long as I think is necessary After this I ask them a question: “How long have you been a member in a fitness center how is the guidance and how are your results in this period” 9 out of 10 has the same answer: “There is only guidance in the beginning and I don’t have any results……” Then I explain what CrossFit can do for them So people in Meppel are spreading the word about the new way of training with personal guidance That’s what is missing in all the other fitness centers (guidance) but we don’t want to work with large groups We have a max of 10 persons at the same time Is it easy to promote Crossfit in Netherlands Having worked in several fitness centers in and around Meppel, people know that there is something new coming. So mouth to mouth promotion works best. We are officially not open yet but trying to reach people in anyway possible, so think about the website (www.crossfitmeppel.nl) In december we are giving a try-out workout This to let people have a little taste of CrossFit As crossfit gyms together we can promote it in the future but in a ‘CrossFit’ way Do you have some relations with other affiliates in Europe The CrossFit gyms in the Netherlands have a good relationship we are planning to have a meeting in the beginning of 2010 To see what everybody’s expertise is and how we can help each other Have you ever participated in Crossfit Games first train hard and then kick ass in America Comments feed for this article March 10, 2010 at 11:04 pm Δdocument.getElementById( "ak_js_1" ).setAttribute( "value" Blog at WordPress.com.Ben Eastaugh and Chris Sternal-Johnson Subscribe to feed. Dutch King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and their daughters, Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, arrived in Emmen on Saturday morning. There they were received by Mayor Eric van Oosterhout and Jetta Klijnsma, the King's Commissioner for the Province of Drenthe. The family is celebrating King Willem-Alexander's 57th birthday in the city. The date chosen to celebrate the reigning monarch's birthday is a widely-celebrated national holiday in the Netherlands. Upon arrival, Bouke & The ElvisMatters Band sang a birthday song for the king. Máxima joined them in loudly singing the birthday song. Hundreds of people crowded along the route to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family or to shake hands with Willem-Alexander. Many people cheered, and plenty of photos were taken. People also stood on balconies waiting to watch the royal procession pass by their buildings. The Royal Family was scheduled to visit various squares where music, dancing and games were organized. In addition, Bouke Scholten and Jannes were scheduled to sing for the king. The day was set to come to a close at the main stage on Raadhuisplein. It steadily grew busier over the course of the morning in Emmen. Hundreds of people already began to gather behind the crowd barriers on Hoofdstraat by about 8:30 a.m. As the hours passed by, a long stream of visitors made their way from the Emmen train station towards the center dressed in orange clothing and waving Dutch flags. It is the first time in more than two decades that the Oranjes celebrated a King's Day or Queen's Day in Drenthe. The last time was in 2002, when Princess Beatrix visited Meppel and Hoogeveen on April 30 when she was still the reigning monarch. Beatrix often chose two different places to celebrate Queen's Day, usually in the same province. Prince Constantijn, Princess Laurentien, Prince Floris, Prince Pieter-Christiaan and several others were also present at the celebration. It has been several years since the celebration was attended by several older members of the Royal Family, like Willem-Alexander's mother, Princess Beatrix, and her sister, Princess Margriet. Last year, Alexia was unable to attend the King's Day celebration in Rotterdam. Now 18, the middle child's final exam schedule at her school in Wales conflicted with her father's birthday. Her 17-year-old sister, Ariane, was able to attend the celebration on Saturday. She just started at the United World College Adriatic over the summer. She is a first-year student at the Trieste, Italy, institution, and does not have to sit for exams. In the vicinity of Meppel in Drenthe alone, 29 stork pairs have been using overhead line poles to make their nests, which can easily fall onto the track, trains or points, ProRail ecologist Folkert Volbeda said. ‘Storks’ nests can easily weigh hundreds of kilos, which can damage overhead lines or even fall on top of passing trains,’ Volbeda said. The site is dangerous for the storks themselves as well. There’s is a risk of electrocution and train drivers frequently report crashes with the birds around the nest sites. Storks like the high poles, Wim van Nee, who runs stork protection organisation STORK said. ‘They are perfect really, with a view and safe from predators and people. They often stay for years and add to their nests continuously,’ he told RTL Nieuws. Storks, like badgers, are a protected species after having all but disappeared from the Netherlands in the 1970s.  Special dispensation is needed to remove nests and ProRail will have to offer the birds alternative accommodation. ProRail is currently trying to lure the storks to designated nesting poles but a lack of terrain sufficiently distant from the track is hindering their attempts at rehousing the birds. ‘If we put up poles too close to the tracks they will simply return to their old nests, and we can’t expect our neighbours to welcome ‘our’ storks, Volbeda said. ProRail is predicting more storks on the line in the near future. ‘It’s great to see them do well but we’d rather they nested in a safe spot’, the rail operator said. "But I will also miss him personally", Rutte said. The Prime Minister called Pechtold "an excellent debater, who loves the political craft", "a passionate defender of democracy" and "someone with whom you can always do business". "With Alexander Pechtold you can have a keen debate, do business and laugh all in one day. That is a rare combination in politics. What I admire in him is that he always looks for solutions that are good for the country. He did that as founder and mainstay of this cabinet, but before that also as a member of the opposition", Rutte said. He wished Pechtold "all the best for the future". VVD leader in parliament Klaas Dijkhoff called Pechtold's departure a surprise. "A special person and a good politician is now leaving parliament", Dijkhoff said, according to the news wire. "He conducted constructive politics, both in the opposition and in the coalition. And of course a sharp, substantive debater. I wish him well." Sybrand Buma, leader of coalition party CDA, believes that the D66 is very grateful to Pechtold for the way he led the party over the past 12 years and let it grow. Over the years Buma built up a lot of appreciation for Pechtold because of his "great political craftsmanship and collegiality", he said. PVV leader Geert Wilders gave a short farewell to Pechtold on Twitter. "Adieu Alexander", he tweeted. The D66 and PVV are polar opposites on the political spectrum, and Wilders and Pechtold often crossed swords in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament. "We were ideological opposites, but managed to find each other when necessary", SGP leader Kees van der Staaij said. "I will miss his interruptions!" PvdA leader Lodewijk Asscher said he will "miss the sharp dialogues with this worthy opponent", according to the news wire. "But above all, the beautiful collaboration with a highly valued colleague. Always at the service of democracy. I wish him all the best for the future!" D66 councilor in Meppel Anne Lok resigned from the city council and left the party over a relationship she had with D66 leader Alexander Pechtold. In her resignation letter she made strong accusations against Pechtold, including of abuse of power and misconduct, AD reports. "As you undoubtedly know from the popular weekly magazines, I had an affective relationship with the leader of my party, Alexander Pechtold. You will also have learned that this relationship ended in a very painful way for me", Lok wrote in her resignation letter, according to the newspaper. "Meanwhile, it has come to the point that Mr. Pechtold, in reaction to those publications, threatens to commit character assassination on me through the same kind of medium, to put me away as unstable and disturbed", Lok wrote. "It also seems to me that if I want to defend myself against this publicity by showing his abuse, misconduct and opportunism, he will prosecute me for violating the secret of correspondence or something like that." Lok is convinced that she will soon be defamed to such an extent that she will no longer be able to function as a city councilor with any credibility, according to AD. For that reason she submitted her resignation on Tuesday night. "I wish to leave your council with my head held high", she wrote. In reaction, Pechtold said that he does not recognize himself in the images Lok is sketching. He also regrets her decision to resign. D66 faction leader in Meppel, Letty Demmers, will refrain from commenting on the issue and refers questions to the parliamentary faction, a spokesperson said to the newspaper. which are said to spray urine back at its rightful owner are already being used in San Francisco and Hamburg to good effect peeing in public in the Netherlands carries a fine of €130 ‘People who are drunk or just lazy don’t realise how disgusting it is to pee against someone else’s wall,’ Eduard Annen a Meppel councilor who is campaigning against public urination in the town Dutch company Orange Nano took 18 months to develop the PeeBack paint, the Parool reported earlier this year The splash back effect is created by silicum dioxide a combination of tiny particles of glass and sand The company told Nos that several other local authorities and a premier league football club are also considering using the paint We could not provide the Dutch News service without the generous support of our readers Your donations allow us to report on issues you tell us matter and provide you with a summary of the most important Dutch news each day Many thanks to everyone who has donated to DutchNews.nl in recent days We could not provide this service without you Please help us making DutchNews.nl a better read by taking part in a short survey The 31-year-old driver who veered off the A28 highway in his Lamborghini at over 300 kilometers per hour in March 2022 was sentenced on Monday to community service The court in Zwolle stated on Monday it aims to send a clear message with this verdict from Heesbeen in the province of Noord-Brabant received a one-and-a-half-year driving ban He was also given a 120-hour community service order and a two-week suspended prison sentence something the Public Prosecution Service (OM) had not demanded The OM demanded 150 hours of community service and an 18-month driving ban the court wants to send a strong message to the defendant and to society that such driving behavior is unacceptable," the court said was driving his Lamborghini at 300 kilometers per hour on the A28 highway The court in Zwolle found that the driver endangered other road users and his passenger was on his way to a show at the Assen circuit on March 27 when he lost control of his white Lamborghini Aventador S near the Rouveen viaduct Two brake discs were found 200 meters from the crash site on the opposite carriageway estimated to be worth half a million euros Lamborghini Aventador crasht op A28 bij Zwolle; front end and spoiler parts made of SMC are primer painted prior to their delivery to Meppel Curing and cooling processes take place on the top floor of the paint shop such as air recirculation units for the spray booths and air supply units for general areas like the central clean room handles the treatment of the exhaust air that is contaminated with several different solvents which has three tanks and a cleaning capacity of 20,000 Nm³ per hour achieves a separation level of more than 99 per cent keeping emissions within the limits allowed under Holland’s strict environmental regulations Particularly challenging aspects in designing the paint shop were the vehicle production batch sizes of one and the application of more than 450 different color shades Special EcoSupply P type automatic “piggable” paint supply systems were integrated so that paint consumption could be kept to a minimum whilst retaining the highest possible level of flexibility These systems make it possible to supply exactly the quantity of paint needed for each application In place of air-assisted atomizers EcoBell2 type high rotation atomizers are used for application to assure maximum paint transfer efficiency and a high quality paint finish Paint consumption is thus reduced and environmental sustainability increased Dürr’s offline EcoScreen 3D-OnSite system is used to program and set parameters for the robots These offline programs are created in advance and installed on the robots in the paint lines – all that remains to be done on site is optimization of the painting parameters.Almost 250 different trim and add-on parts are handled and Scania operates a modular skid loading concept: variant bits allow each skid and its specific load of individual parts to be assigned to different robot programs on the skids also has a significant influence on paint finish quality because the tolerances here are minimal To ensure that high quality would be guaranteed together with the customer and with the manufacturers of the skids and carriers and of the paint materials in the Technical Center at Dürr Systems GmbH Here a basis was found for exact positioning of the parts on the skid and painting parameters were determined in relation to the cycle times that would later be required in production operation At present 40 units an hour are coming off the line at Scania Real satisfaction has been expressed with the customer-oriented build of the plant to comply with Scania’s modern production principles sees the technical design strategy as the reason for this: “We utilize convincing technologies that really work without aiming at one hundred per cent automation is stable work flow and high availability.” Dürr is a mechanical and plant engineering group at the top of the world market in its areas of activity It generates about 85 per cent of its sales in business with the automotive industry It furthermore supplies sectors such as the aircraft and pharmaceutical industries with innovative production and environmental technology The Dürr Group operates in the market with two divisions The Paint and Assembly Systems division supplies production and painting technology Machinery and systems from the Measuring and Process Systems division are used in engine and transmission manufacturing and in final vehicle assembly Worldwide Dürr has 47 business locations in 21 countries APPOINTMENTS AUTO EXPO 2020 COVID-19 DEALER CORNER DRIVER WELFARE GARAGE EQUIPMENT LUBES & FUELS NEXT-GEN BRIGADE SAFETY FEATURE SMART FLEETZ TYRES WOMEN OF METTLE Privacy Policy
