Fenerbahçe have made some considerable strides on the domestic and international stage
The 2022/23 season would see them beat İstanbul Başakşehir in the Turkish Cup Final and end a 9-year trophy drought
whilst 2023/24 would see them make it all the way from the second qualifying round to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League
where they fell to eventual champions Olympiacos
Forfeits, Fundamentals and Fist Fights – Fenerbahçe’s Desire for Domestic Equality
They also fell to MKE Ankaragücü in the Turkish Cup quarterfinals and boycotted the Turkish Super Cup Final
And whilst they racked up an astonishing 99 points
they were denied their first league title in a decade
with Galatasaray edging them to the championship on the final day of the campaign with a record 102 points
Despite losing Michy Batshuayi to archrivals Galatasaray on a free transfer
things are looking up at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium
They’ve retained Çağlar Söyüncü on a permanent transfer and bolstered their attack with the signings of Allan Saint-Maximin
they’ve brought in left back Levent Mercan
and they’ve also appointed José Mourinho as their new manager
they’ve kept hold of Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde
Born in Zwolle to Surinamese and Indonesian parents
Oosterwolde began his development at local club ZAC before spending a decade at Twente
impressing in Serie B and leaving Italy after just one year
with Fenerbahçe signing him for €6 million in January 2023
scoring his debut goal against boyhood club Twente and emerging as a regular for the Turkish giants
A stellar athlete with a good technical base
Oosterwolde’s electric speed and aerial presence makes him a multifaceted threat in defense
His recovery pace allows him to excel in high lines and defend large spaces
he is a physical unit who can cover ground quickly and hold his own in aerial duels
Jose Mourinho to Fenerbahçe: The Second Coming of a Genius, or the Last Dance?
Oosterwolde has a broad physique with good core strength
giving him very good duel-winning capabilities
and he uses this strength effectively when carrying the ball to brush off any challengers
powerful ball-carrier who strides forward with conviction and speed
and he’s a good dribbler with quick feet for someone this tall
he would bomb forward overlapping the LW to create crossing opportunities where he would show accurate crossing ability
He defends wide areas well and is capable of progressing the ball
he’s often looking to play long passes over the top
carry the ball forward or break the lines with his passing
The Fenerbahçe defender is still a raw player
He needs coaching defensively in terms of positioning and to refine his skills
but his technical and physical foundation is a solid basis to build around
He needs a good defensive coach and a team who build up from their CBs
and one aspect in particular where he needs work with is his decision-making
he goes to ground too easily when he could just stay on his feet and avoid the risk of a dangerous tackle which could result in a red card
giving away a free-kick/penalty or an injury
Bright Osayi-Samuel: Reborn with a New Potential
Similarly to Tottenham’s Micky Van De Ven, he boasts a combination of his physicality, speed, ball-playing ability and height that would allow him to thrive as a center back in a back three or a back four or even as a left back. At 23, the sky is the limit for the Dutchman, and he has what it takes to thrive and become a genuine sensation in Turkey’s top-flight this season.

geralt | PixabaySweden-based Scandi Standard announced it has acquired Tyson Foods’ assets in Oosterwolde
This acquisition involves a facility that had two lines for breaded poultry products
but the plant has been offline since December 2023
Scandi Standard is investing EUR28 million (US$28.8 million) in the project
which will include making the necessary repairs sustained by the fire
The repairs are expected to be completed with the plant beginning operations in the third quarter of 2025
With the Netherlands plant becoming part of Scandi Standard’s operations
it will withdraw its earlier plans to expand its plant in Farre
Denmark – a project deemed less efficient
The expansion in Denmark would have cost about EUR30 million and would have expanded Scandi Standard’s ready-to-eat capacity by 20%
but the assets in the Netherlands will expand that capacity by 90%
we have secured a robust European ready-to-eat platform for the long term
We have a history of tremendous growth and returns in this segment
The current transition toward a more pan-European marketplace for frozen breaded products requires us to step up from a Nordic to a leading European player
Following a small drop in demand linked to COVID-19 and inflation
we expect European demand to pick up significantly in the coming years
With limited available capacity in our main production plant in Denmark
we have been looking at how to optimally position Scandi Standard within this segment,” said Jonas Tunestål
“As the market for breaded products is becoming truly European
cost leadership is a prerequisite to succeed
require the highest quality standards and contingency capacity in case of disruptions
offer the optimal combination of cost efficiency
processing excellence and contingency capacity
In comparison to a corresponding greenfield
this investment can be carried out without incurring material short/mid-term return dilution and represent a much greater potential.”
Tyson Foods has owned the Oosterwolde assets since 2019. Tyson obtained them as part of a larger transaction with BRF in 2019
which also included four facilities in Thailand and one in the United Kingdom
Tyson Foods announced during a quarterly earnings call in November that it intended to sell the Netherlands assets
Tyson held another quarterly earnings call on February 3 – the same day Scandi Standard announced the acquisition – but Tyson did not address the sale during the call
Construction of the two state-of-the-art breaded product lines in Oosterwolde was finalized early 2023
which also comprises a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant and two old factories
suspended operations December 2023 due to a fire
As part of Scandi Standard’s the overall investment
the two older factories at the Netherlands site are being demolished
leaving more flexibility to develop the property beyond the initial two state-of-the-art beaded lines

Cresswell arrived from Ipswich Town in 2014
and has made over 350 appearances for the Hammers as the starting fullback on the left side of the defence
Cresswell is the second choice left-back for West Ham after the arrival of former Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri
who is a more all-round versatile fullback than the England international
Similar to West Ham's Premier League all-time record goalscorer Michail Antonio, 34-year-old left-back Aaron Cresswell is also one of the longest-serving West Ham players in the current squad
the Italy international is 30-years-old and thus
West Ham will need to sign another fullback either in January or in the next summer transfer window
Fenerbahce signed the Netherlands star last year
and now Oosterwolde is the first choice fullback for the Turkish side following the departure of their versatile defender Ferdi Kadioglu to Brighton in a £30 million transfer move
Oosterwolde possesses a great recovery pace and often advances forward to create more chances inside the final third
Although Oosterwolde is still improving his game
West Ham should enter into transfer talks to sign the 23-year-old for around £15 million in the January transfer window
This will give the Hammers a significant advantage as they can sign Oosterwolde for a relatively low transfer fee in January
and can give him more playing time with a lot of important matches towards the end of the season
it remains to be seen whether Julen Lopetegui's side will submit an opening bid to sign promising left-back Oosterwolde from Fenerbahce in the upcoming transfer windows

Now, it remains to be seen whether Julen Lopetegui's side will submit an opening bid to sign promising left-back Oosterwolde from Fenerbahce in the upcoming transfer windows.
The Turkish newspaper reported via their website on Thursday [14 November] that the Irons
are eyeing a move for the left-back in winter despite him being sidelined for the rest of the season
Fenerbahce will consider offers in the region of £16.6million after previously being unwilling to sell the 23-year-old [Fanatik
The Turkish giants were claimed to have no plans to sell Oosterwolde in January
with Jose Mourinho said to be a huge fan of him
their stance appears to have changed after the Dutchman suffered a cruciate ligament injury in their 2-2 draw with Samsunspor on 20 October
This is possibly because Fenerbahce want to cash in on the full-back
The Hammers have two senior left-backs in their ranks – Emerson and Aaron Cresswell
It is, therefore, easy to see why West Ham are interested in Oosterwolde, whose strengths include dribbling, tackling and concentration, as per WhoScored
It now remains to be seen if the East London outfit are prepared to fork out £16.6million for a player who is unlikely to be available until next season, especially since they are also targeting a striker in January [The Times]

This was always going to be a big week for Erik ten Hag
The Manchester United boss returned from the international break with his job still in tact and he simply had to pick up results
United came from behind to beat Brentford on Saturday afternoon with Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund securing a 2-1 win
Now the attention turns back to the Europa League with United travelling to take on Turkish side Fenerbahce on Thursday
This means Ten Hag will come up against former United boss Jose Mourinho
who became Fenerbahce boss over the summer
United need a win after a stuttering start to the Europa League campaign
After draws with Twente and Porto
United really need to start picking up victories
Mourinho would no doubt love to throw a spanner in the works though as we come up to six years since his United departure
Mourinho already finds himself under some pressure at Fenerbahce after already slipping eight points behind rivals Galatasaray
Fenerbahce do still have a game in hand but they were only able to draw 2-2 at Samsunspor on Sunday
Mourinho has now suffered a major blow with defender Jayden Oosterwolde and winger Cengiz Under suffering injuries
Oosterwolde was taken off injured against Samsunspor but Under wasn’t even included in the squad due to a groin problem
Fenerbahce have now confirmed that Under has a groin tear whilst Oosterwolde has a much more serious injury having ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament
Both players have now started treatment and rehabilitation but will ultimately miss Thursday’s clash against United
“MRI scans were performed at Altunizade Hospital and a partial tear was detected in the right groin muscle tendon junction of our players
and a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in the left knee of Jayden Oosterwolde
The treatment and rehabilitation process of our players has begun,” they wrote

Mourinho can still call on two ex-United players
though Oosterwolde is the bigger blow given the length of his injury and his greater importance in the Fenerbahce side
Losing both players is not the news Mourinho wanted but he will be looking to cause something of an upset on Thursday night regardless
Mourinho can call on two former United players to aid his revenge bid this week
Fred remains a key part of the Fenerbahce midfield having joined from United in the summer of 2023
hitting six goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances for the club
Fred’s midfield partner is likely to be Sofyan Amrabat after Fenerbahce agreed a late deal for the Moroccan before the window closed
Amrabat spent last season on loan at United and will now come up against Ten Hag – one of his biggest admirers – on Thursday night
very well and be looking to secure a big victory before heading to West Ham United at the weekend
West Ham were first linked with a move to sign the talented 23-year-old Fenerbahce left-back last week
Julen Lopetegui needs to sign a top-class left-back this summer, with more competition and cover required for Emerson Palmieri
The 29-year-old Italy international has been linked with a move back to Italy over the past few weeks as well
Oosterwolde is a highly talented young player, and he’d be a fantastic signing for the Hammers in the summer transfer window
He’d definitely provide strong competition for Emerson
or be ready to fill the void left behind if the Italian does indeed return home to his native shores
West Ham clearly want to sign the Dutchman
but you won’t believe the latest request Hammers officials have just made to the player’s agent…
I have to say I really hope that the Hammers manage to sign the Fenerbahce defender this summer
and is ideally suited to playing in the left wing-back role
That will be an interesting option for Lopetegui to utilise
given the Spaniard’s penchant for switching up to a 3-5-2 at times
Oosterwolde is an incredibly physically robust defender
and he’s ideally suited to the Premier League
In 27 Super Lig outings for Fenerbahce last season, he averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.3 successful aerial duels and 2.1 clearances per game (Who Scored)
He could be available for around £17 million according to Habertürk (print edition from January 31st)
Now, Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu is claiming that the Hammers have made a request to Oosterwolde’s agent asking for video clips of the left-back in action for 90 minutes
🚨 West Ham United, Jayden Oosterwolde'nin temsilcisinden Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray ve Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe maçlarının 90 dakikalık kayıtlarını istedi. https://t.co/UOiHXKrgHU
surely the Hammers should just send scouts out to Turkey to watch Oosterwolde in action at the start of next season
Watching players in the flesh is far more informative than seeing them in video clips
There’s so much more that you see from watching games in the flesh – namely the player’s movement and positioning off the ball
Hopefully West Ham will sign Jayden Oosterwolde this summer
but I can’t see it happening without a few scouting missions to Turkey first

Brazilian football federation president shares what the FA told him about potential Paqueta ban
Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde is considering his future, with West Ham United showing interest in securing his signature according to the Turkish outlet Sabah.
The 23-year-old Dutch full-back has been a key player for Fenerbahce, but the club faces the prospect of losing him this summer. With the transfer window closing in, Oosterwolde has requested more time to make a decision about his future.
Jayden Oosterwolde’s versatility and talent make him an attractive prospect for several clubs, including West Ham United and Bournemouth. The Dutch defender has impressed at Fenerbahce, and his potential move to the Premier League could significantly strengthen any team’s backline.
West Ham, in particular, could benefit from Oosterwolde’s ability to play as both a left-back and a centre-back. His versatility would provide manager Julen Lopetegui with tactical flexibility and depth in the squad.
However, the competition for Oosterwolde’s signature is fierce, with multiple clubs expressing interest in his services. Fenerbahce’s reluctance to lose the player further complicates the situation.
If West Ham can secure Oosterwolde’s signature, it would be a significant boost to their defensive options. The young defender’s potential and adaptability make him an exciting prospect for the future.
If all those ex footballers who spout their old tosh, we’re any use they would be managers, and with merson it’s juste booze talking ffs he looks pissed everytime I see him and his, always slurring.
I wish you’d stop talking to players with unpronounceable names. It makes life for Paul Merson so difficult. He struggled to remember Fullkrug’s name on Sunday. I think that’s why he has a grudge against us.
Fenerbahce 1-1 Lille (2-3 agg): Les Douges edge into Champions League play-offsTen-man Lille left it late to find a winner, with Jonathan David proving the difference from the penalty spot against Fenerbahce on Tuesday.Ten-man Lille are through to the Champions League play-offs after edging to a 3-2 aggregate win over Fenerbahce following a 1-1 draw in the second leg on Tuesday.
Bafode Diakate's own goal in second-half stoppage time levelled the aggregate scoreline, but Jonathan David's 118th-minute penalty ensured Les Douges' progress despite Aissa Mandi's red card.
After a slow first half, Lucas Chevalier made a sharp stop in the 54th minute, getting down quickly to keep Ismail Yuksek's low drive out, while Bright Osayi-Samuel almost broke the deadlock with a swerving volley in the 82nd minute.
Eventually, the hosts' pressure paid off, with Jayden Oosterwolde's long throw-in causing problems in the box, and Diakite's deflection ghosted in at the near post, forcing extra time.
The game came back to life in the final 15 minutes, with Mandi receiving a straight red card after catching Irfan Can Kahveci in the side of the head with a high boot.
Lille did not feel the disadvantage though, as David's long-range shot hit Oosterwolde's outstretched arm, and after a VAR review awarded a penalty, the Canadian buried the spot-kick.
Fenerbahce almost forced penalties in the dying seconds as Cenk Tosun lifted a shot over the stranded Chevalier, but he rattled the crossbar, meaning Fenerbahce will play in the Europa League this season.
Lille may be through to the next round, but that could easily have been a different story.
As the game went on, they started to play for the draw they knew would take them through, only to be punished for a late lapse in concentration after weathering Fenerbahce's 11 shots.
David got his rewards for an impressive performance though - he had the most shots of any player on the pitch (five), generated the highest expected goals (1.29 xG) and had the second-most touches in the box (four).
That could be the tip of the iceberg as far as The Clarets’ transfer activity is concerned
with Burnley working on a number of deals before the window shuts later on this week
One of those could be Jayden Oosterwolde
the jet-heeled left-back who finds himself in Turkey after spells in Italy and the Netherlands
According to Sacha Tavolieri
Burnley’s recruitment team are admirers of the 22-year-old Dutchman
And while Oosterwolde’s agent would not be drawn specifically on those Turf Moor links
he does admit that there is English interest in a typically ‘modern’
“Oosterwolde is a modern defender. He’s extremely physically strong and very fast. He has played as a left-back with great offensive propensity. He has drive, strength, and quality,” the admittedly rather biased Jose Blakborn tells Si Gonfia la Rete
who have outlined three options for my client
Fenerbahce reportedly want around £17 million for Oosterwolde, having only joined the Super Lig challengers 12 months ago from Parma. In what could be a boost to Burnley’s hopes, Blakborn is playing down reports linking his client with two of Italy’s biggest clubs, insisting that there are no talks underway with either Napoli or AC Milan
there is no negotiation with Napoli,” the agent adds
there is no specific active interest from Milan
HITC has been informed that Esteve, the 6ft 4ins powerhouse, has agreed a four-year deal in principle with Burnley. The Clarets have also been linked with Marseille’s £15 million-rated midfield enforcer Pape Gueye
He will be allowed to leave with his contract expiring in July

Agent of Fenerbahce defender confirms Milan talks: “The Rossoneri know Oosterwolde” | OneFootballSempreMilan
The agent of Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde has confirmed that he has had contacts with the AC Milan management
Oosterwolde is an interesting profile given he can play both as a left-sided centre-back or as a left-back
and he began his career with local club ZAC before moving to the FC Twente youth academy in 2012
In the summer of 2020 he did trials at both Heracles and FC Twente in the Netherlands and both clubs wanted to sign him but he chose the latter
Back in 31 January 2022, Oosterwolde signed with Parma in Italy on loan with an obligation to buy, then a year ago he signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Turkish side Fenerbahçe for a reported fee of €6m (via Wiki)
Jose Blakborn – the agent of Oosterwolde among others – spoke on Radio Crc during the program ‘Si Gonfia la Rete’ regarding the future of his client amid the links with a move to Italy
“He is a modern defender who also played for Parma so you have already seen him in Italy
He is extremely physically strong and very fast,” he began
“He played as a left-back with great attacking propensity even a little higher up than the four-man defensive line so he has drive
at the moment there are no negotiations with Napoli
I can’t know if Napoli is interested in Jayden
but if the club called it would be an interesting solution for me
for the boy and I think also for Fenerbahce in the future to sell him
“But at the moment we are talking about a negotiation that doesn’t exist
but Oosterwolde would like to play in the blue shirt
he loved it when he played in Parma and he would go back
he considers Napoli to be a great club and finally
he is someone who puts his heart and passion into it and would identify well in a place like Naples
but at the moment there is no discussion underway
I am obviously in close contact with Fenerbahce who showed me three paths for my client
an English one in addition to that of staying here so even his current club has never talked about a contact with Napoli
because as I say at the moment there is nothing
“Contacts with Milan? Yes, I have because I assist many players, including at Milan. The Rossoneri know Oosterwolde, they know that I manage him, but even in this case, at the moment there is no specific live interest from Milan

The solar park consists of monocrystalline modules from Hanwha Q-Cells and Chint Astronergy
which are mounted in a classic fixed position facing south
The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price of the transaction
"We are delighted about the sale of this high-quality photovoltaic project to the CEE Group
Our two companies are linked by a long-standing
in the course of which we have already been able to implement several large-scale photovoltaic projects together
With regard to the international climate targets
these projects make an important contribution," explains Matthias Taft
See also: CEE Group expands PV capacity in the Netherlands
also emphasises the long-standing cooperation
"Our cooperation is characterised by an exceptionally high level of professionalism
a great willingness to cooperate and mutual trust
We appreciate Baywa RE's high quality standards
both in terms of project development and technical implementation," says Schreiber
The plant in Venekoten-Oosterwolde is the CEE Group's second solar project in the Netherlands
The CEE Group's Dutch portfolio has thus increased to a total of 250 megawatts
The construction of another large solar park in the Netherlands is already in the pipeline
The plant in Venekoten-Oosterwolde accounts for more than a fifth of the CEE Group's entire current portfolio in the Netherlands and is an important mainstay in the local market
it offers investors advantages in terms of cost structure and the leveraging of synergies and is therefore particularly interesting
the technological standard in the Netherlands is comparable to that which we find in Germany
who is also responsible for new business and asset management of the existing portfolio
The Dutch market is again particularly interesting for the CEE Group
The company refers to figures from Solarpower Europe
according to which Germany will still be the largest market in Europe in 2022 with 7.9 gigawatts of newly installed output
Spain follows close behind in second place with 7.5 gigawatts and Poland in third place with 4.9 gigawatts
although the Netherlands is in fourth place with four gigawatts of newly installed output
in terms of expanded solar power output per capita it is in first place and could expand this to more than 1,000 watts per inhabitant in 2022
This is probably also related to the substantial conditions for investment in renewable energies in the Netherlands
Also interesting: Pilot project for green hydrogen in the Netherlands
The CEE Group invests exclusively in the photovoltaic and wind sectors
This applies to all international target markets
"We focus on clearly defined technologies and do not compromise in this respect
Our high level of expertise in the two technologies mentioned is a clear competitive advantage - in terms of acquisition
but above all also in terms of operational management," Detlef Schreiber explains this decision

Alliander and Groenleven have completed construction on the Netherlands’ first green hydrogen production facility
It is connected to a 50MW solar park and is expected to generate hydrogen from June
“Alliander and GroenLeven will investigate how hydrogen can play a role in areas where the capacity of the electricity grid is not sufficient to host new large scale solar capacity,” the two companies said, referring to recent network capacity issues in the northern Netherlands
if grid congestion in the area can be reduced or prevented and whether hydrogen would enable spending fewer resources on grid expansion
The hydrogen production unit will be operated by Alliander and will be linked to a nearby
The green hydrogen generated at the new facility will be purchased by local taxi company Kort and fuel supplier OrangeGas at an unspecified price
“It is expected that 100,000kg of hydrogen can be produced annually
which is enough for about 10 million clean kilometers of car journeys with a passenger car,” Alliander stated
GroenLeven will investigate how green hydrogen can be stored and used for other applications
“The pilot project that we are implementing together with GroenLeven gives us the opportunity to see if hydrogen can contribute to the efficient use of our electricity grids,” the company's CEO
“By making hydrogen with the electricity generated from the solar park
we are burdened less and no sustainably-generated energy is lost.”
hydrogen is expected to flow through the pipelines of the installation for the first time in June
Alliander recently reported that congestion on its medium-voltage network is increasing due to rapidly growing demand from solar projects
such as the greenhouse-horticulture sector

Poultry group Scandi Standard has acquired a set of manufacturing assets from Tyson Foods in the Netherlands
Sweden-based Scandi Standard said the deal covered two lines for the processing of breaded poultry products
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed
Publicly listed Scandi Standard said it would need to invest around €28m ($28.6m) to get the lines up and running again
The company expects to start operations in the third quarter of the year
which also sells fresh and frozen poultry products
said the deal increases its capacity to produce ready-to-eat products by 90%
“The current transition toward a more pan-European marketplace for frozen breaded products requires us to step up from a Nordic to a leading European player
Following a small drop in demand linked to Covid-19 and inflation
we expect European demand to pick up significantly in the coming years,” Scandi Standard CEO Jonas Tunestål said
“As the market for breaded products is becoming truly European
cost leadership is a prerequisite to succeed
such as quick service restaurants (QSR’s)
require the highest quality standards and contingency capacity in case of disruptions.”

The deal with Tyson replaces Scandi Standard’s plans to spend €30m investment at a plant in Denmark that would have increased the site’s capacity by 20% by 2027
Scandi Standard reported net sales of around 36,000t of breaded poultry products
which it said amounted to a 5% share of the European market
Tyson acquired the Oosterwolde site from BRF in 2019 as part of its purchase of the Brazilian group’s assets in Europe and Thailand
Scandi Standard said the construction of the two breaded product lines was finalised early 2023
which also comprises a wastewater treatment plant and two old factories
suspended operations in December 2023 due to the fire
The company said as part of the overall investment two older factories are being demolished
giving it the flexibility to develop the site beyond the initial two breaded lines
In August, Scandi Standard acquired a poultry processor
the group said the initial processing output at the Lithuania plant is expected in the region of 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes from this year
It is to be incorporated into Scandi Standard’s ready-to-eat business

The Netherlands announced their return to the world stage in style at the 2022 FIFA World Cup
where they lost to Argentina by the barest of margins
This was a spirited performance by the Oranje
especially after failing to qualify for the World Cup in 2018
The Netherlands have an exciting crop of young players who will be in their prime in two to three years
Left-back Jayden Oosterwolde has a high chance of becoming a part of the Dutch golden generation
Oosterwolde is one of the most exciting players
he is one of the most sought-after players and is bound to move to a club in the top five leagues
While he is playing in Serie B in the current season
his performance has been so brilliant that European clubs are ready to add him to their ranks
deeming him prepared to play in the top leagues
Jason Oosterwolde started his career at the local club ZAC where he played till 2012
he came into the view of FC Twente’s scouting network
where he spent the next eight years progressing through the various youth ranks
he was given a debut in the under-17 and under-19 teams
The following season he was promoted full-time to the under-19s making 14 appearances while also representing the club in the under-18 Netherlands Cup
He played as a left winger in the preliminary matches for the under-19 Eredivisie
where he scored five goals in as many games
After playing another season in the under-19 team
he finally got his senior team debut on September 12
Oosterwolde wasted no time showcasing his talent
assisting Queensy Menig for the opening goal
His debut goal came a month later against Willem II in a 3-0 win
The following season he made 14 appearances for the team
and Twente sent him on loan to the club with an obligation to buy
And it took them only five appearances to see his talent as they made the deal permanent
Oosterwolde has made rapid strides this season
making 18 appearances and scoring one goal
The youngster has been one of the few positives in Parma season as they are currently in ninth
nine points adrift of the automatic promotion places
51' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Fuga solitaria di Jayden Oosterwolde che intercetta un pallone, si invola verso la porta avversaria e segna!#ParmaReggina #ForzaParma pic.twitter.com/QloXvl2NtO

Oosterwolde has made 18 appearances and has been Parma’s best defender
The 21-year-old has made 1.8 successful tackles per 90 minutes
He also leads the team in interceptions and dribbles per 90 minutes
He has also made at least one key pass per 90 minutes but still has not provided any assist
It is because of a lack of quality strikers at Parma that has been unkind to him as they failed to finish even a single chance
suffer heavily because his teammates are on a different level than him
Oosterwolde covers every part of the left flank
his ability to use the indie channel makes him even more dangerous
Oosterwolde works in tandem with the winger using one-touch passing
Oosterwolde drifts on the wing either to deliver the cross if he has the ball or to draw a defender with him if he does not
which opens up space for the winger to exploit
As he had played left winger in his youth career
Oosterwolde also has brilliant ball-carrying abilities and a knack for delivering the quality ball into the box
His height also helps him quickly cover huge ground and win aerial duels
he could use his physique more often to hold off opponents and win second balls
he has a knack for being out of position during counterattacks
which leaves Parma vulnerable and has also led to goals
Despite playing in Serie B, Jayden Ooosterwolde is being chased by several clubs. Fenerbahce, Southampton and AC Milan are all in the race to add the talented full-back to their ranks
Oosterwolde has also started to follow the Instagram account of Fenerbahce
which has led to rumours that he may be inclined to join the club
are in dire need of players who can help them turn around their dreadful season
The Saints are currently bottom of the table and require defensive reinforcements after conceding 34 goals
Fenerbahçe have submitted a proposal to sign Dutch talented fullback Jayden Oosterwolde from Italian side Parma 🟡🔵🇳🇱 #transfers
Turkish top club pushing as they see Oosterwolde as important option but there’s no agreement, Parma hope to keep him. pic.twitter.com/DP09eIDiaF
— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 4, 2023
It remains to be seen where he finally lands
but it indeed will offer him a football that will be far more competitive than Serie B
helping him elevate his game further as he looks to improve as a player and hopefully get a look in the Netherlands national football team

Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel will not face any sanctions from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) following a brawl with an unruly Trabzonspor fan last month
The Fenerbahce defender was one of the players who were summoned before the TFF over the violent scenes that ensued during the game against Trabzonspor on March 17
Fenerbahce defeated their rivals 3-2 in the said game
but there was chaos after the final whistle
with some of the home fans invading the pitch to attack the players of the visiting team
🇹🇷👨⚖️ 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 | After crazy scenes between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe, the sanctions have finally been announced…• Trabzonspor 6 games without fans• Oosterwolde & Eğribayat suspended for 1 matchOsayi-Samuel did not recieve any ban. pic.twitter.com/pFuheq0YVE
Osayi-Samuel was captured on camera fighting off one of the Trabzonspor supporters
The right-back punched the onrushing supporter in the face – an act he later described as “self-defence”
The incident led to several Trabzsonspor supporters being arrested and placed in pre-trial detention
while Osayi-Samuel was also initially facing sanctions over his conduct
Osayi-Samuel and two of his Fenerbahce teammates
Jayden Oosterwolde and Irfan Can Egribayat
were said to have breached Article 45 of the Turkish FA’s Disciplinary Code
The aforementioned players were all facing bans of between one and five matches if they were found guilty
the Nigerian right-back has now escaped punishment
despite the footage showing his involvement in the brawl
Osayi-Samuel was neither banned nor fined by the TFF
has slapped a one-match ban on Oosterwolde and Egribayat
while both have also been fined 52,000 TL (€1,500) and 13,000 TL (€ 375)
Tranzonspor have also received a home ban that will see them play their next six matches without spectators
The club has also been fined a sum of €89,800 for the troubles caused by their fans during the game against Fenerbahce
The latest ruling means Osayi-Samuel is available for Fenerbahce's upcoming Turkish Super Cup final against bitter rivals Galatasaray on Sunday
