a traditional Christmas Eve match organised by the “Supporters Together Stal Mielec” Association took place at the Grzegorz Lata Municipal Stadium in Mielec
The meeting ended with our team winning 13:6
The result in this match was not the most important thing
but the time spent together and the opportunity to meet our fantastic fans
We would like to thank the organisers of the event and all the fans present for a nice Saturday afternoon and their support and cheering in 2024
We are starting the preparation period for the spring round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa in the 2024/2025 season
We talked to our team captain Krystian Getinger about the upcoming challenges and the completed autumn round
Krystian, to begin with I would like to ask you how you evaluate the autumn round performed by our white and blue team
As captain of FKS Stala Mielec I would like to start by saying that we came out fully motivated for each of the games in the autumn round
and our goal was always to get three points
There were many very good performances behind us
we did not win 3 points or lost a goal in an unfortunate way
both I and every player in our team feel a certain lack of satisfaction
but we are optimistic about the optimistic about the future
let me ask you a little more about the past
you played your league match number 400 in the blue and white colours of Stal Mielec
The moment when President Jacek Klimek, together with Director Damian Gąsiewski
handed me a commemorative jersey and a trophy on the pitch
and all our fantastic fans were standing up chanting my name and rewarding me with applause
this is where I grew up and where I spread my football wings
During those 400 matches there were tears of joy as well as sorrow
matches after which you had to get up from your knees and keep moving forward
and such matches after which you felt as if you actually had wings and
celebrated victory with the white-and-blue fans
I always say that putting on the jersey with the crest of Stal Mielec is a great honour
but also a responsibility – for the team
for the fans and for the whole club and its history which we create
Did you manage to get some rest during the Christmas-New Year break
It was a period when I was able to spend more time with my family
but it was also necessary to stick to the recommendations related to diet and the training schedule
I was also very happy to be able to play in the annual Christmas Eve match with our fans
So what is there to wish you in the new 2025
May I avoid injuries as much as I have so far
then I know there are still many fantastic moments ahead of me with our team
it hasn’t been very often that I’ve suffered an injury and I hope that this will also be the case in 2025
The team will soon go to a preparation camp in Spain
Last year’s training camp in L’Albir showed that the Spanish direction is much better than training in Turkey
In Spain we have much more weather stability which will ensure that we can carry out the training units as the coaching staff intended
We have fantastic training conditions there – the pitches are properly prepared before each of our training sessions
The fact that more teams chose the Spanish training camp than in previous years only confirms this
What do you think this year will be like for FKS Stal Mielec
in which we will have to give not 100 but 120 per cent commitment and determination in every game
We all know that these will not be easy matches
We simply have to show that we are made of steel
We need to secure a secure retention for the 2025/2026 PKO BP Ekstraklasa season as soon as possible and then do everything to finish higher in the final table than last season
I would like to thank our fans for their support so far and
encourage them to cheer us on in the spring round
I am sure that together we will achieve many victories in 2025
Mateusz Prokopiak

The first Polish-built rear-fuselage section for the F-16 was rolled out at PZL Mielec's facility on 29 August
PZL Mielec has rolled out the first Polish-built rear-fuselage section for the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon programme at its facility in southern Poland
which owns PZL Mielec via its Sikorsky subsidiary company
The milestone came weeks after Janusz Zakrecki
president and general director of PZL Mielec
told Janes and other defence media in early June that his company had recently taken on work to build the centre-fuselage
and forward-fuselage sections of the F-16 Block 70/72 (known as the F-16V in its remanufactured form) from Lockheed Martin in the US and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in South Korea
Construction of dedicated F-16 facilities at the Mielec site was completed in 2022
at the same time that some of the company's 1,500 personnel assigned to F-16 production were being trained by PZL Mielec's parent company and OEM
at the F-16 final assembly line (FAL) in Greenville
PZL Mielec said in March that it had delivered the first two structures to the FAL in the US
and Zakrecki noted that the Polish company aims to ship four sets per month by the time peak production is achieved “within four years”
While PZL Mielec is now engaged in subassembly production
Zakrecki noted that the company may look to expand into final assembly in the future

this configuration best reflects the core product
which is a multi-role helicopter designed for various tasks
retains the ability to perform other missions
This means that every S-70i user can easily reconfigure the helicopter for missions typically carried out by specialized helicopters
deliver food and supplies to regions affected by disasters or armed conflicts
including the Airborne Tactical Extraction Platform (AirTEP)
it allows the helicopter to transport 10 people under the external cargo hook
The platform was designed for wide use in military missions such as CSAR

and missions related to humanitarian disasters

Blinken said Russia’s attack in Ukraine will have implications for a new NATO strategy
which is now being developed and will be finalized at a summit in June
and the events of the last few weeks will further inform that future,” Blinken said
the mission on the ground in Poland so far seems centered on matters more mundane: train
Much of the work by the 82nd Airborne is taking place at a Polish army base in Nowa Deba that is home to Poland’s 18th Mechanized Division
and Polish forces have been practicing tactics needed in a crisis
such as medical evacuations and helicopter landings

Lockheed Martin F-16 programme vice-president Danya Trent: “The F-16 remains a critical part of the Polish Air Force
“This new production work at PZL Mielec will further ensure Poland is part of the F-16 global enterprise for many years to come.”
Lockheed Martin noted that it already has F-16 Block 70/72 orders in place from five customers
It is also seeing growing interest from global customers for new-build production aircraft and for F-16V upgrades
Poland is also procuring 32 F-35s and will receive the first F-35 in 2024
Orzylowski added: “Poland’s acquisition of the F-35 opened the door for a further expansion of this relationship and helped enable today’s exciting announcement.”
KIELCE, Poland, Sept. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- During the MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition, PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company (NYSE: LMT) displayed an S-70i™ Armed Black Hawk® helicopter fitted with a single-station external stores pylon
Designed at PZL Mielec as a lighter weight
lower cost alternative to currently fielded dual-station external wings
a single-station pylon attached to one or both sides of the aircraft will be compatible with the advanced weapon system that allows Black Hawk pilot gunners to support battlefield operations using forward firing guns
"We're developing the single-station pylon in response to requests by militaries across Europe
Latin America and Asia for a battlefield support helicopter that can be armed for different types of missions that may not always need four weapons stations," said Janusz Zakręcki
"Operators can arm the aircraft for suppressive fire
and still carry out other utility roles whenever pylons and stores must remain on the aircraft."
At a quarter the cost and weight of a dual-station wing
a pylon can be removed or attached by two people in 15 minutes
offers a wider field of fire to window or door gunners
and opens more space to hoist a litter into the aircraft while in a hover
a pylon will be able to carry HELLFIRE™ or Spike air-to-ground missile launchers
A pylon also can extend aircraft range with an 80-gallon external fuel tank
As a complementary option for the S-70i / S-70M Armed Black Hawk with dual-station wings
the single station pylon will integrate with the aircraft's weapons management system that calculates the range and complex ballistics required for pilot gunners to engage targets with high accuracy and reliability from stand-off distances during day and night operations.
PZL Mielec expects to begin airworthiness flight testing of the prototype pylon design in 2020
