bisexual and transgender (LGBT) "ideology" as an invasive foreign influence undermining traditional values in the staunchly Catholic nation. His main opponent is liberal Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski of the main centre-right opposition Civic Platform (PO) party
Trzaskowski has drawn criticism from religious conservatives for introducing education about LGBT matters in Warsaw schools."Parents are responsible for the sexual education of their children," Duda told a gathering of supporters
"It is not possible for any institutions to interfere in the way parents raise their children."Signing a "Family Card" of proposals including pledges to preserve special benefit schemes for families and pensioners
he also said he would not allow gay couples to marry or adopt children
There is no consent for this phenomenon to happen in our country in any way."Trzaskowski has said he is in favour of civil partnerships for gays but
he would not approve adoptions."This ('Family Card') is a radical document which divides Polish society
introducing standards reminiscent of the most brutal...times of Polish and European history," Robert Biedron
the Left party's presidential candidate and Poland's most high-profile gay politician
was quoted as saying by state news agency PAP.The PiS is keen to secure Duda's re-election as it would cement its grip on power to complete reforms to the judiciary and media sectors that the European Union has challenged
saying they violate EU standards on democracy and rule of law.Duda remains the frontrunner but his lead has shrunk as the coronavirus crisis has damaged the economy
with one recent poll conducted for right-wing portal DoRzeczy.pl showing him just 2.2 percentage points ahead of Trzaskowski.Reporting by Alan Charlish; Editing by Mark Heinrich

A new study led by paleontologist John Scannella of Montana State University provides a detailed look at shifts in the morphology of Triceratops – a genus of giant horned dinosaurs in the family Ceratopsidae – over a period of about two million years at the end of the Cretaceous
Triceratops models at JuraPark in Solec Kujawski
Mr Scannella and his colleagues recorded the stratigraphic information for more than 50 Triceratops skulls recovered from the Hell Creek Formation in Montana and analyzed their morphology
“So we can compare Triceratops found at different levels
Paleontologists previously discovered that the skull and horns of Triceratops changed shape as it grew from a baby to an adult
Mr Scannella with colleagues suggested that the skull of Triceratops underwent an even more dramatic transformation than had been suspected and that when fully mature
the Triceratops became what had previously been thought to be a distinct genus of horned dinosaur
“The new study finds evidence that not only did Triceratops change shape over the lifetime of an individual
but that the genus transformed over the course of the end of the age of dinosaurs,” Mr Scannella said
This image shows the evolution of Triceratops in the Hell Creek Formation
Over two million years at the end of the Cretaceous period
Triceratops went from having a small nasal horn and long beak to having a long nasal horn and shorter beak
The dinosaur with a small nasal horn and long beak is a Triceratops horridus
It was only found lower in the Hell Creek Formation
The dinosaur with a long nasal horn and shorter beak is a Triceratops prorsus
It was only found near the top of the formation
Skulls found in the middle of the formation showed characteristics of both Triceratops horridus and Triceratops prorsus
The paleontologists also found that Triceratops is the most common dinosaur in the Hell Creek Formation
