Jedynak added: "I am much more concerned about another official statement from the Arbitration Tribunal for Sport of the Polish Olympic Committee which declared that electronic doping in chess is not doping in sport This statement shows an absolute lack of understanding of our discipline This crucial point was presented as a decision without any hearing Arbiters considered cheating in chess as a rule violation The decision of the Polish Olympic Committee to overturn Waszczuk's ban is final the investigation will have to be done again whether Waszczuk can theoretically play chess again at the moment is not exactly clear Dziubinski said she will wait until the written statement of the tribunal is published Email: peter@chess.com FOR SUPPORT PLEASE USE chess.com/support!Phone: 1 (800) 318-2827Address: 877 E 1200 S #970397 Share on FacebookShare on X (formerly Twitter)Share on PinterestShare on LinkedInLINDALE Texas (KLTV) - An East Texas family is preparing to embark on a long-term mission to serve others in the region from a newly-established ministry base in southern Poland This week marks one year since the start of Russia’s war in Ukraine The anniversary highlights an ongoing humanitarian crisis across central Europe the McClung family plans to leave the sprawling Youth With A Mission (YWAM) ranch in Lindale to set up a new home in the town of Ustroń “God has really provided for so many of our needs and really set a place for us there,” Joshua says and their two children have spent the last three years in prayer and preparation at YWAM’s training and outreach headquarters in East Texas The ministry currently has more than 18,000 staff deployed in 1,100 locations in 180 countries “It was definitely the voice of the Lord say ‘Just commit and watch what I’ll do,’” Meg said I’ve been like asking him to take care of all those things before I would give my yes Over multiple trips to Poland and even into Ukraine the McClungs say their eyes and hearts have been opened to a desperate situation “People had their home completely destroyed The McClungs are being led to Ustroń, a community of 16,000 residents located about 230 miles south of Warsaw. The Polish Chess Federation has banned 17-year-old WFM Patrycja Waszczuk for two years from competitive chess for allegedly using a phone during play The father of Waszczuk has appealed the decision who is the current Polish U18 Girls Champion was removed from the Ustron Chess Festival on August 16 The result of her round-four game was changed from a draw to a loss There was a strong suspicion that she used a phone during play who attended a training camp in July 2020 with Waszczuk and other players provided the following comments to Chess.com via email: "During a training session for the women's national team we played a small tournament for all camp participants who had permission from the coach to write down her moves on her mobile phone because she claimed she did not have any piece of paper or pen I spotted she put the moves into a chess mobile app instead of a mobile notebook Patrycja won that game as easy as her next two games against GM Monika Socko and coach GM Marcin Dziuba I asked Patrycja to show me her mobile phone because I wanted to copy the moves from her notation claiming that some error occurred and she could not restore her notation our coach intervened and did not allow her to use a mobile phone anymore Then she scored only one point in the next 12 games with a much lower level of play." Sliwicka also mentioned an experience when the players had to solve puzzles: "During the camp the participants had to solve chess puzzles by themselves everybody used the full time (40 minutes) to solve puzzles except her who finished them after a few minutes and had all the correct answers Her behavior during the test was very suspicious too She did not write any solution and left her paper empty." Some participants in the Polish U18 Girls Championship in Szklarska Poreba in March 2020 had already suspected Waszczuk because of her frequent visits to the restroom while showing a "super-GM level of play." Waszczuk won with 7.5/8 when the tournament had to be ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic which were an important part of the commission's verdict included this tournament and also her games from the 2019 European U16 Girls Championship in Bratislava where she took clear first with 7.5/9 Waszczuk participated in the Polish Women's Championship the other participants started suspecting her in her game with the four-time Polish women's champion WGM Jolanta Zawadzka is well known in the Polish chess scene and has become a meme on social media It was played after fewer than three minutes of thinking: I couldn't believe it is a good move," Zawadzka told Chess.com Zawadzka experienced more odd behavior from her opponent such as playing the opening moves quite slow and "All cheaters should be banned forever if there's proof without any doubt as it's too damaging for the sport," said Zawadzka She agreed that at the women's championship there was no clear evidence of foul play: "Everybody knows it who played Waszczuk in the third round of the championship Kubicka said that it was the combination of strong moves by Waszczuk and her regular visits to the restroom that raised the other players' eyebrows: I decided to play quickly to not allow her to go to the toilet and she went to the toilet even though it was her move I didn't know what to think and tried to find moves that she couldn't have analyzed." Kubicka and other players started to write down the number of times Waszczuk went to the restroom during her games while afterward trying to check those moments with the evaluation of the computer They felt that the strength of her play in the tournament corresponded with those restroom visits The tournament organizers did arrange for a metal detector to check whether players were carrying electronic devices—a measure that has become more and more common at chess tournaments there were doubts by players about the quality of the machines and how they were used but players would still be allowed to play without further checks Kubicka: "Sometimes players would show their jewelry But there was also one round when Patrycja didn't have an explanation as the machine went off close to her pants The atmosphere during the championship was very tense and most players were constantly distracted by the suspicions GM Monika Socko stated that she couldn't sleep the night before and after her game with Waszczuk where Waszczuk was banned from the tournament started only a couple of days after the national championship The event was played under the honorary patronage of FIDE Vice President Lukasz Turlej He confirmed most of the facts as stated in the document by the Commission for Awards and Discipline apart from the phone Waszczuk handed to the organizers she had a second one in her purse: "They caught her When the arbiter wanted to inspect her purse Waszczuk had been asked more than once if she had another electronic device with her she left the playing hall and came back with her grandmother "The grandmother said it was not a phone but a power bank and that she had used the word 'phone' because of stress." This tournament was supposed to be famous because of the honorary patronage and visit of Anatoly Karpov and a great number of accompanying events it was one of the best chess events I have ever seen the wider public knows the Ustron Chess Festival because of this incident." Chess24 revealed that the witness who saw Waszczuk using a phone in the toilet was WFM Katarzyna Dwilewicz and then started to stand up on the toilet seat: "My heart was beating so fast when I was climbing on the toilet It was exactly the same position she had had on the board a while ago She was checking variations from a chess program." An English version of the commission's report has been sent to FIDE Turlej provided a statement on the legal procedures the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission will attribute general validity in FIDE to national decisions on violations of FIDE Ethics and Disciplinary Code if adequately motivated and decided in compliance with the fundamental principles of law and fair trial." FIDE Director General Emil Sutovsky confirmed that both the FIDE Fair Play Commission and the Ethics Commission will examine the report He expects a formal decision to be taken within a few weeks also for using a phone in a restroom during play The maximum ban from the Polish Chess Federation for offenses during open tournaments is three years but two for minors; therefore If she had been caught during the Women's Championship the penalty would likely have been higher as the maximum ban for offenses at that type of tournament is 10 years Mariusz Waszczuk, the father of the player, has appealed the commission's decision. In an interview with Onet This case is a conspiracy by two direct rivals of Patrycja." Patrycja never admitted to having a second mobile phone with her He also claims that the second device found in Ustron was a power bank suggests that procedural mistakes have been made by the Polish Chess Federation He claims that they didn't get proper access to documentation and case files He also questions the actions of the chairman of the Commission for Awards and Discipline who is said to have spoken about the ongoing case on Facebook While the Polish Chess Federation has three months to decide on the appeal One question is how Dwilewicz's revelation that she caught Waszczuk red-handed Chess.com couldn't reach a representative of the federation for a comment. Speaking to Onet said: "This type of fraud is very difficult to detect it is difficult to say what someone could do in the toilet if they went out to it if someone goes to the toilet several times during one game A McDonald’s in Poland has gone viral for it’s crocheted exterior and interior The McDonald’s was decorated with giant knitted blankets over the entire store to celebrate the launch of their Winter menu back in 2023 but the store is going viral now for dividing internet opinion Some people think the store is really cool and are begging to dine there, and other’s are saying it looks like a nightmare straight out of the backrooms; what do you think yellow and green yarn and huge buttons – just like a giant cardigan covered in yarn to make for a cozy eating experience The decoration was part of the promotion for the Lumberjack Burger (a burger with beef and chicken patties It took four months of development and 28 days to install the design with over 50 workers involved People online are going wild for this McDonald’s saying that they couldn’t imagine what it would have looked like months later after kids had spilt ketchup all over the fabric floor and seating Others were saying that they couldn’t believe this McDonald’s was in Poland, “If you wouldn’t have told me I would of thought it was in Ohio.” playing on the Gen-Z slang of calling bad things ‘Ohio’. didn’t think it was just ugly in a funny way and found the interior to be nightmare fuel: “IDK why but for me it’s kinda scary.” Ex-McDonald’s chef questions if influencer meals are actually popular The interior does have a creepy nostalgic vibe reminiscent of the backrooms which refers to an internet trend describing a space outside of reality that you somehow feel like you have visited before others thought this was a really innovative concept “Bielsko Biała (the nearby city) has a long history in its dyeing Others were saying that this looks like the “coziest McDonald’s ever” and that “Polish McDonald’s is top tier.” Unfortunately, because this was a one-time promotion, the McDonald’s is no longer wearing several brightly colored sweaters. However, if you want a taste of international McDonalds’ menus, a Global Menu has just been launched. Everyone has a McDonald’s story – which branch held yours many have the fast-food chain as their go-to for when they need a quick and cheap bite.  McDonald’s built its first restaurant in the Philippines where it has since integrated itself into the national identity and way of life By providing menu items like the “McSpaghetti” and the “McDo” (short for McDonald’s) fries the company has been able to appeal to the Filipino public’s taste and play areas that are prominent throughout its many locations McDonald’s has developed an established and identifiable brand identity making it one of the leading chains in the world Although McDonald’s outlets all around the world share a common visual identity certain countries have modified the brand’s look to incorporate distinctive architectural and cultural elements making it more personal and connected with the people that surround it.  Here are a few examples of how McDonald’s architecture varies by nation First on our list is a branch that takes a “welcoming atmosphere” to a whole new level the familiarity of the bistro will always make it welcoming but there is a McDonald’s in Poland that stands out better than the others thanks to its design that incorporates knitwear The cozied-up McDonald’s branch that is located in Ustron a city in southern Poland took roughly 5 months and 50 staff to pull off the stunt (or put on the cardigan?) which was done to advertise the restaurant’s new winter menu Huge braided strings of wool wrap the entire structure with a few enormous buttons The building underwent a knitwear-inspired renovation that extends beyond the building’s exterior and includes the inside of the establishment as well Who said a fast-food chain cannot be fancy A McDonald’s restaurant in Portugal has become notable for its opulent and stylish decor Customers have dubbed this particular McDonald’s restaurant “The World’s Most Beautiful McDonald’s” located in the center of Porto a historic city on Portugal’s northern coast The restaurant is housed in a remodeled building where Cafe Imperial – a well-known coffee shop that operated in the city since the 1930s – once stood When McDonald’s took over the building it kept the majority of the key architectural details because the coffee shop was regarded as a prime example of Art Deco design at the time and marble flooring give the restaurant a sense of grandeur and elegance that is not normally found in fast-food establishments The euros in your pocket might be intimidated by the grandiosity but the prices are still consistent with your average McDonald’s Travel back in time to the 1950s with the branch that has seen the most The 1953 opening of the first McDonald’s location in California is a historical landmark which is a symbol of the power and longstanding reputation of the firm First created in the traditional Googie style which gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s and included futuristic and space-age features and the iconic golden arches of the structure are all distinguishing features of the Googie design and have come to represent the McDonald’s brand In addition to its historical significance the McDonald’s in Downey has a small museum that displays the company’s history and artifacts Visitors can discover information on the establishment of the business An exceptional example of how the fast-food restaurant corporation has incorporated local architecture and culture into its restaurant design is at the McDonald’s in Vigan The McDonald’s establishment in Vigan has a facade that resembles the classic Spanish buildings in the neighborhood Vigan is recognized for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture The building has a very Spanish appearance thanks to its subdued yellow exterior paint and ornamental ironwork accents The Vigan McDonald’s location’s design which incorporates regional characteristics demonstrates how McDonald’s can blend in with the community while preserving its brand identity and menu options the McDonald’s brand contains a rich history and stories that make dining at any McDonald’s location a one-of-a-kind experience McDonald’s has adapted and incorporated numerous parts of local cultures and preferences to its restaurants.  McDonald’s has evolved from its humble beginnings in San Bernardino to its global spread to become a cultural symbol and an integral part of many people’s lives.  McDonald’s has established an enduring legacy that cuts beyond boundaries and cultures whether it’s the nostalgic sensation of visiting the oldest McDonald’s location in California or enjoying the opulent branch in Portugal Δdocument.getElementById( "ak_js_1" ).setAttribute( "value"
