TotalEnergies and Lhoist have inaugurated a 2.6 million euro solar plant at the Lusical factory in Alcanede
This solar plant was developed through a collaborative effort with Lhoist
which is primarily engaged in the production of aerial limes
As detailed in the statement shared with Lusa News agency
the newly established photovoltaic plant is situated in Valverde
The facility required an investment of 2.6 million euros and boasts an impressive installed capacity of 3.2 MWp
covering an area of approximately five hectares
this solar power plant is projected to generate approximately 5.4 GWh of renewable electricity each year
This output will account for 27 percent of the Lusical unit’s total electricity consumption
The establishment of this infrastructure is expected to bring multiple benefits
including a significant reduction in the plant’s reliance on the conventional electricity grid
the new solar power plant will contribute to lowering operating costs and will lead to an estimated reduction of approximately 1,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually
