Just as she does on screen and on the runway
Deva Cassel exudes a quiet magnetism on set
typically wild curls have been smoothed out and put into an updo for her Tatler cover shoot
piercing hazel eyes and sculpted pout remain unmistakable
Draped in the sculptural novelties of Cartier’s Nature Sauvage high jewellery collection
Cassel moves gracefully through the suite in Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel
where a balcony offers a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower
Her presence in front of the camera is both effortless and refined
marked by a confidence shaped by her early start in modelling and
We meet Cassel just a few days after the March 5 global release of the historical epic The Leopard
dubbed Netflix’s “most ambitious Italian original to date” by entertainment publication Variety
Based on Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s 1958 novel Il Gattopardo
the miniseries starring Cassel has received popular and critical acclaim
many praising its sweeping cinematography and meticulous period detail
drawing comparisons to The Crown for its grandeur and narrative depth

Cassel has also been praised for her performance; but acting was never part of her plan
reluctant to carve out a space in a world already defined by her parents: Italian screen siren Monica Bellucci and the chameleonic French thespian Vincent Cassel
two of Europe’s most celebrated actors who have also left a mark on Hollywood
Her links to the cinematic world run even deeper
as her late grandfather was Jean-Pierre Cassel
a popular star of French cinema who gained fame for his comedic roles before excelling in more dramatic ones
To be born into such a legacy is to inherit both privilege and expectation
Cassel says: “My parents never forced me into anything
[Acting] wasn’t programmed in any way
They’ve always been explicit about wanting me and my siblings to have a normal life and values
[We had] the freedom [to enjoy] a normal childhood.” The question
was not whether she should follow in her parents’ footsteps

the 20-year-old Italian French actress and model speaks with a thoughtfulness beyond her years
offering measured insight into her life and career
Born in Rome and raised between Paris and Rio de Janeiro
Cassel is fluent in five languages and her cadence—in English
at least—bears the subtle inflections of her global upbringing
“Being so close and in touch with such different cultures really opens your mind,” she says
“It opens your heart as well.” To Cassel
curiosity is one of the greatest gifts that travel can offer
Even something as simple as the willingness to try new foods
says a great deal about a person’s outlook
“I’ve always eaten everything,” she says
“Just be open and curious.” This curiosity shapes everything in Cassel’s life
from how she approaches fashion and film to her personal expression

Storytelling by way of cinema was a constant in Cassel’s childhood
Her parents often showed old Italian and French films
one of the most iconic Italian actresses of all time
known for her portrayal of women with strong characters
and one of Bellucci’s greatest inspirations
“[My mother] showed me a lot of [Loren’s] films and I fell in love with the way women were portrayed in cinema,” she shares
It seems natural that storytelling would be part of Cassel’s career
She became a model almost by accident: she was on set at a photo shoot featuring her mother when a photographer took her picture
in a Dolce & Gabbana fragrance campaign and today
But despite her excitement about building narratives
due in no small part to her irritation at the assumption that she would join her in her parents’ industry
“I hated that people thought they knew what I was going to do when I had no idea myself
“Everybody asked me if I wanted to do the same thing as my parents
‘I will never be in front of a cinematic camera
I don’t want it; it’s not interesting to me.’”

I became more comfortable in front of the camera
I started opening up towards the idea of cinema,” she says
The turning point came with the script for the indie film The Beautiful Summer
a coming-of-age story directed by Italian filmmaker Laura Luchetti
“It was like reading a long poem,” Cassel recalls
“I fell in love with my character [the protagonist Amelia]
And I had so much fun on set that I decided that I had to do more [acting],” adding that she is eager to explore more diverse genres and roles: “I want to try a bit of everything to discover what I’m capable of.” Her upcoming projects include Bethlehem
an American biblical epic currently in production
and a contemporary French film adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s novel The Phantom of the Opera

When it came to bringing Angelica to life
Cassel explored the duality of a character caught between ambition and vulnerability
sensual and malicious creature a sense of vulnerability; something she tries to hide,” she explains
“She seems so certain of what she’s doing
fighting for what’s supposed to be right
she hasn’t had a choice of how to live her life
she [was led] in a certain direction.” The parallels between Cassel’s own life and Angelica’s story are subtle yet meaningful—both are navigating worlds shaped by expectation
and both are determined to define themselves beyond inherited narratives
This theme of legacy and reinvention extends beyond the screen
There is an interplay between heritage and modernity in The Leopard that resonates with Cassel
for which she is a global brand ambassador
appearing on the front of the Singapore edition almost 15 years ago
“It’s funny how my mother and I cross paths in many of the things we do,” Cassel says
“It’s an honour to be a muse for this [Tatler] cover
It’s fun to interpret that in my own way.”

Bellucci spoke about buying her first Cartier Tank watch with earnings from her early days in modelling
she gave her eldest daughter her first Cartier piece: a necklace from the Love collection
she said that we’re forever intertwined,” Cassel says
“That was very special.” Now that she’s old enough to choose her own pieces
Cassel gravitates towards the timeless power and grace of the Panthère—“You can never go wrong with a Panthère piece.”—and the Juste un Clou collection which
she “associates with the most”
Her favourite piece from the Nature Sauvage collection is the Eusuchia ring
“I’m completely in love with this bold crocodile ring

Perhaps it is this same spirit of reinvention that steers Cassel’s approach to the future
but a broad swathe of creative interests that extend into fashion
“My father gave me a good musical foundation
I’m grateful because I developed my ear and passion for music,” she says
She plays the piano and writes her own songs
and hopes one day to move into artistic direction
“I love interpreting people’s ideas,” she says
“but I also want a team to help me create my own.”
“I’m lucky to have a job where I don’t feel like I’m working,” she says
That’s what I wish for in the coming years: to stay happy and curious

Y’all, I just got back from the Sundance Film Festival, got to see SO many amazing films!
Aur aate hi bohot ummeed ke saath ticket khareed ke dekhne gayi main good old Bollywood, film lagi thi Deva.
Guess karo, JUST guess karo kya hoga iss review mein aage! Lets get into it.
Adapted from original screenplay by Bobby-Sanjay, Deva is the story of police officer Dev, who is angry, volatile, explosive, and very swaggy. If Kabir Singh had chosen to go to the police academy instead of medical school. He sleeps with many women, his colleagues fear him, obviously there are deep set daddy issues propelling the entire narrative.
For a film that aims to be the cinematic version of the Cluedo Board Game, Deva has little to no patience or frankly interest in creating captivating, interesting characters. Very few around Dev have any inner live, dimensions to their beings are explored, resulting in no breadcrumbs for the audience to pick up in a film that wants to be a thriller.
However, the swag has GOT to let-up at some point. Sharp shooter ko point out karte huye swag, maar khaate huye swag, jail ke andar swag, bister se nikalte hi swag. For a very long duration, Dev too doesnt turn into a fully realised person. He is a broody concept.
The foley artists get their moments to shine in this film, every watermelon in the neighborhood probably sacrificed for those un-ending breaking bones sounds. Its impossible to keep track of who is mad at whom at what time, and who Dev is chasing after and why, but if fractures and ruptures are your jam, yeh film dekh kar February tak ka quota poora ho jaayega.
If there are any attempts at social commentary in this film, they are too flimsy to be of note, or consequence. Heavy underlay music enhances the filminess of the whole shebang as the film keeps trying to take flight, never quite managing to leave the runway. If you actually want a solid thriller with some logic — Squid Game season 2 dekh lo.

Home » New Age Icons Deva & Miten to Bring Healing Mantras to South Florida
First names in the world of new age music, Deva Premal and her life partner Miten craft compositions outside the realm of pop
instead brushing against the sacred and the transcendent
when singer Premal (born Jolantha Fries in Germany) met guitarist Miten (born Andy Desmond in the United Kingdom) at a meditation resort in India
releasing 18 albums together of meditation mantras
largely in Premal’s preferred Sanskrit language
Premal has released another 13 solo albums
including the Grammy-nominated 2018 release Deva
and their fans range from Cher to Edward James Olmos
who credits Premal’s music for inspiring his character of Commander Adama on “Battlestar Galactica.”
Experiencing Premal and Miten perform live is a rare and special treat; having attended their 2018 performance in Miami
I can attest that there’s nothing like a roomful of people losing themselves amid the absorbing repetitions of Premal and Miten’s timeless mantras
playing South Florida for the first time in seven years with a concert at the Moss Center
Premal and Miten were kind enough to answer a few questions from Boca magazine in advance of their appearance later this month
and did you have a musical background prior to taking this direction with your music
and one of my earliest memories is him chanting the Gayatri Mantra to me as a lullaby
Music was also present in my life from an early age
but it wasn’t until I met Miten that it became a path of expression and devotion
Miten: My background was in rock and roll—I was a singer-songwriter in the ’70s
But I reached a point where it no longer fulfilled me
My journey led me to India and to Osho’s ashram
where I rediscovered music—not as entertainment
and we found that music and mantra were our shared language
How is it that your compositions can have a healing effect
in the sense that a song can heal us emotionally
Deva: Mantras carry an ancient vibrational quality
where the sound itself holds meaning beyond words
we’re tapping into a deep well of wisdom that has been carried through generations
It’s not about belief—it’s about resonance
and spirit respond to these sounds in ways that go beyond intellectual understanding
Miten: Music has always had the power to heal—it opens the heart
When you combine that with the potency of mantras
We hear from people all the time who have experienced profound shifts just by listening or chanting along
What’s the difference between listening (and chanting) to your music on record versus in a live setting in a theater full of people
Deva: Listening to a recording is a beautiful
personal experience—you can drop into a deep space within yourself
But singing together in a room full of people is something else entirely
we’re not just performers—we’re all part of the same meditation
When hundreds or thousands of voices merge into one
That’s why we call our concerts “satsang meditation gatherings” rather than performances
Do you know the English translation for everything you sing
we always tune into the meaning of the mantras we sing
but their real power isn’t in the translation—it’s in the vibration of the sound
You don’t need to intellectually understand a mantra for it to work
It’s like stepping into the ocean; you don’t have to analyze the waves to feel them
Miten: Words can be limiting sometimes
Music and mantra go beyond language—they go straight to the heart
You can feel the shift even if you don’t know why it’s happening
A lot of your listeners go into something like a trance state when listening to your music
do you feel like the repetition of the mantras also creates something like a hypnosis
Deva: I wouldn’t call it hypnosis
The repetition of the sounds allows the mind to quiet [down]
we step out of the thinking mind and into pure presence
it feels like the music is singing us rather than the other way around
Has your experience of singing these mantras changed over time; do you approach them in different or expanded ways than you used to
Mantras are alive—they reveal themselves in layers
A mantra we’ve sung for decades can still surprise us
taking on new meanings and depths as we evolve
Miten: It’s like revisiting a sacred place—you see it differently each time
Our relationship with the mantras continues to grow
There has been much talk in new age and spiritual circles about the rise of the feminine in our world
Does that speak to your experience as well
and I feel it strongly in the mantras we sing
intuition and connection—all qualities that are so needed in the world today
I see it in the way people are drawn to these ancient chants
in the longing for something deeper and more heart-centered
We’ve lived in a world dominated by masculine energy for so long—action
we’re rediscovering the power of stillness
It’s not about replacing one with the other
Has your experience recording and performing these mantras changed the way you think about the world
it reminds me that beyond all the divisions
Miten: We’re more connected than I realized
and chanting mantras have dissolved the barriers I created during my day-to-day existence—identification towards countries
This path of devotion has taught me that love is universal
Premal and Miten perform at 4 p.m. April 27 at the Moss Center, 10950 S.W. 211th St., Cutler Bay. Tickets run $45-$108. Call 786/573-5300 or visit mosscenter.org

ShareSaveCommentBusinessHollywood & EntertainmentDeva Cassel And Saul Nanni On Netflix’s New Adaptation Of ‘The Leopard’ByMaelle Beauget-Uhl,
Forbes contributors publish independent expert analyses and insights. I write about the entertainment industry, cinema and TV Follow AuthorMar 30, 2025, 12:01pm EDTShareSaveCommentDeva Cassel and Saul Nanni, ‘The Leopard’
The Leopard, the classic novel written by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa and published in 1958, was recently adapted by Netflix as a miniseries, 62 years after Luchino Visconti’s famous adaptation for the big screen.
In The Leopard, we follow the life of the Prince of Salina and his family in Sicily during the 19th century and the wars of Italian unification. This new epic adaptation has everything a historical drama needs, from magnificent locations to lavish costumes, a stellar cast, a love triangle and a sublime original soundtrack by Paolo Buonvino.
Created by Tom Shankland (Rogue Heroes, The Serpent, Les Miserables), the series stars Deva Cassel, Saul Nanni, Kim Rossi Stuart and Benedetta Porcaroli, who all respectively take over Claudia Cardinal, Alain Delon, Burt Lancaster and Lucilla Morlacchi, who were the stars of the 1963 adaptation.
Deva Cassel portrays Angelica, a young woman who comes from a modest social and economical background, but raised to become a fine, charismatic and powerful young woman, who will eventually marry into the Prince’s nephew, Tancredi, played by Saul Nanni.
While the movie has become a cult classic, meaning that fans might be quick to draw many comparisons, I spoke with Cassel and Nanni about how creatively, they knew how to draw the line between the novel and the film, and how they wanted to bring their own unique interpretations.
She added: “It was six months of shooting, but after a few weeks, you start to really embody the thoughts and the actions of the character. You understand everything that they do and why they do it. But to get there, I had conversations with Tom Shankland, and he was really able to show any actor in this series, how important it was to not focus on that we already knew, but to kind of take it as a starting point and build it up from there.”
Cassel added that it was important that the characters’ backstories were explained, so that their actions and their way of thinking were justified. She said, “Working with three different directors, you were able to see all the different parts of the characters and how they evolve. You start internalizing the justification for each part of the story.”
We meet Angelica at the end of the second episode, and the built-in suspense of her arrival and the consequences for the Prince’s family, when she hides behind a door, feeling anxious to be introduced to them. When she finally enters, the whole room goes silent as they are captivated by Angelica’s magnetic charisma.
She added: “For me as an actress, it was just being able to show all of the different emotions and states she was going through before that specific moment, that would change the course of her life. It was about the duality between her emotions and the way she was going to hide it.”
If you’re currently craving for sunshine, The Leopard might be the perfect excuse to book your summer holidays in Sicily. The series was shot in real locations only, no studios, and it truly is a spectacle to witness the beauty of the scenery. I asked the two actors which of these sets had the biggest impact on the way they were going to portray Angelica and Tancredi.
She added: “Turin also had a big impact, there is a huge narrative arc for my character there.”
Tancredi is part of the Redshirts, the volunteers who followed Garibaldi during the conflicts for the unification of Italy, which led Nanni to travel to many different places.
He said, “For me, it would be Palermo, the old city where Tancredi was fighting for Garibaldi, the place was really important for my character, and to see Palermo being rebuilt like it was at this time, it was amazing. I always remember Piazza della Vergogna, it’s something that I will never forget.”
At the end of the first episode, Tancredi rides to join Garibaldi’s army and he arrives on a breathtaking beach, as Buonvino’s music resonates in the background. Nanni added: “It was San Vito Lo Capo, one of the most famous beaches in Sicily, there were more than 400 extras I think and riding on the beach, it was just an amazing day.”
Prabhu Deva’s ex–wife Ramlath has praised the actor for being a loving father to their children and added that he plays a key role in their growth. Ramlath spoke about her former husband and two sons in an interview with a Tamil online channel.
Ramlath said Prabhu Deva is a great father and loves his children dearly. She also added that the father and children indulge in long conversations.
Ramlath and Prabhu Deva got married in 1995. They had three sons; the eldest son passed away in 2008 after being diagnosed with cancer. Adith Deva is the youngest child.
Prabhu Deva sought divorce from Ramlath after he fell in love with Nayanthara. However, Prabhu Deva and Nayathara parted ways in 2012. He married Himani, a physiotherapist during the Covid times. They have a daughter together.
Ramlath added that she and the actor are still in friendly terms and take decisions together about their children. "We should have the maturity to accept whatever happens in our life. We separated due to many reasons, but, I am not angry at him. After separating, he never spoke ill about me. I would have been angry if he had spoken ill about me, but he never did,” said Ramlath.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that Deva Cassel and Saul Nanni fell in love on the set of The Leopard. The Netflix series – based on the 1958 novel by the last Prince of Lampedusa, Giuseppe Tomasi – tells the story of a high society romance between their characters, Prince Tancredi Falconeri and Angelica Sedara, amid the 1860s fall of the Sicilian aristocracy.
How could life not imitate art? The two actors filmed in the ballrooms and palaces of Palermo, Catania, and Syracuse, and Deva Cassel’s parents, actors Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, were heralded as the ‘golden couple of European cinema’ after their love blossomed on the set of The Apartment in 1995.
The Princess Royal is no stranger to the royal re-wear, and her choice of brooch at Commonwealth Day celebrations made for a poignant nod to her mother, Queen Elizabeth
And if Deva’s romantic tribute to her new beau is anything to go by
we might just have found a new it-couple for the Netflix age (there’s still plenty of time for Deva and Saul to catch up to her parents’ grand total of nine co-star credits

And if love were to blossom anywhere, it would be on the set of The Leopard. Netflix has released a series of photos offering behind-the-scenes insight into the filming process, which saw stars such as Kim Rossi Stuart and Benedetta Porcarol join Deva and Saul in the streets and villas of Sicily.
Astrid Meloni as Maria Stella with Deva Cassel as Angelica
One shot shows Deva cooling herself down with a fan as she waits to film a scene dressed in a white lace ballgown, surrounded by cast and crew in what appears to be a grand cathedral. Another shows her looking the spitting image of her mother as she smoulders outside a sandstone villa alongside Saul and Benedetta (who plays Concetta, the woman scorned by Prince Tancredi after he locks eyes with Angelica).

Other on-set pictures show the cast play-fighting on manicured lawns, fully decked in billowing 19th-century gowns, parasoles, and petticoats. In one, Deva and co-star Astrid Meloni bite into ice-creams while wearing what appears to be mourning gear, winking to the camera in fishnet gloves in front of a glittering chandelier.

One hopes that this film is the last in the seemingly never-ending parade of South remakes. That such a contingency, post-Covid and post-OTT in particular, spells bad luck for even a good film has been proved again and again in the last two years. Among the major undeserving casualties are movies like Mili, Jersey, Sarfira and Vikram Vedha.
Shahid Kapoor, whose biggest solo hit to date is Kabir Singh, a pre-Covid blockbuster, probably wants to take another gamble after Jersey (2022). Crime is always considered an audience magnet. And the actor has been talking about bold choices and varied roles. Jersey was a sports drama, after all.
But it truly remains a conundrum about whether another well-made remake will bite the dust. Comparisons were rampant at the press screening itself as the original Malayalam film, Mumbai Police (2013) had been watched by many. Like Drishyam 2 (2022), the sole exception to the remake’s ongoing bad luck (it became a Hindi blockbuster because of some striking changes), Deva also departs from the original in a key way that is happily, more acceptable than the original.
Everything’s going hunky dory as the trio take on various criminals. These include Prabhat Jadhav (Manish Wadhwa), who is about to shoot Rohan when Dev kills him. Dev, however, gives the credit to Rohan, so that his father finally acknowledges him. Rohan also receives a Gallantry award for it, but is shot dead by a sniper at the ceremony. A furious Dev wants the case handed over to him and Farhan agrees.
One rainy night, Dev messages Farhan to reveal that he has got to know who the killer is. But as it happens, he suddenly has an accident in which he loses his memory. When he physically recovers, Farhan sees that Dev’s natural instincts as a cop are intact and reassigns the Rohan case to him. And then comes the shock.
However, the temporary amnesia that Dev suffers is used well for drama and the final result is ingenious.
Rosshan Andrrews’ direction is competent and Jakes Bejoy’s score raises the excitement. The camerawork (Amit Roy) and production design (Sandeep Sharad Ravade) lend an apt, earthy tone while A. Sreekar Prasad’s editing is sharp. The title-song is alright. The action (Supreme Sundar, Abbas Ali Moghul, Anl Arasu, Parvez Shaikh & Vikram Dahiya) stands out.
So does Shahid Kapoor. Admittedly, there is a bit of a Kabir Singh hangover here, but in most parts of the film, you root for him. Pravessh Rana is effective as Farhan, and Pavail Gulati even better as Rohan. Pooja Hegde is functional and Meenal Sahu is good. Girish Kulkarni is excellent as Apte and Upendra Limaye makes a mark in a cameo is Prince.
But I sincerely hope the film makes a mark, considering the factors arraigned against it.

compelling adaptive modes applied by screenwriter Bobby-Sanjay along with Abbas Dalal

The adaptation boasts of far more emotional density and political complexity than the original
The changes in the emotional dynamics from Malayalam to Hindi have most affected the protagonist’s character
I can’t say Shahid Kapoor is as good as Prithvi Raj in the original
I found Shahid’s swag in the first half overdone: the wink
the swagger… they are all like red flags waving provocatively in the brackish breeze
the identity crisis is adumbrated effectively and
It is only post-interval that Shahid comes to terms with his character’s contradictions and blind spots
The way he allows Dev to confront his own demons and the changes that the screenwriters have brought to the table toward the climax are edifying factors not to be found in the original
What I missed in the lengthy but never sluggish film were strong women characters

Ramlath has finally spoken about what equation they share at present. She spoke to Aval Vikatan quite candidly. Ramlath said that Prabhu Deva and she share two sons together

She said she would never badmouth him as he has always been a great father

The father-son trio talk to each other irrespective of the situation
She also said that he was a good human being. Ramlath said that Prabhu Deva never uttered a bad word about her to anyone
“I would be angry with him if he had said anything bad about me after we broke up
I would not say anything bad about someone like that.”

They broke up after a passionate love story of four years
Ramlath had encouraged a protest against her to ban her from working after this whole relationship came to the fore.
the film is an official remake of the 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police
We've got you covered to have the answer to these questions
Deva follows the journey of Dev Ambre (Shahid Kapoor), a rebellious and intense police officer, who finds himself in a precarious situation when his close friend and colleague, ACP Rohan D'Silva (Pavail Gulati)
Just as he inches closer to solving the case
he had already uncovered the identity of the killer but has now forgotten everything
What follows is Dev's gripping and frustrating journey to piece together the investigation he once led
shocking secrets within his own department start to unravel
keeping the audience hooked until the climax
Rosshan Andrrews, known for his gripping storytelling in Mumbai Police, tries to recreate the magic with Deva
The film starts with an attempt to capture the essence of Mumbai
interspersed with Dev’s introduction in an oddly shot green screen sequence
The first half struggles with pacing issues
as it focuses on setting up Dev’s character and his relationship with his team
The investigation sequences are compelling
and the tension escalates with a brilliantly choreographed action sequence leading into the climax
The biggest strength of Deva is its second half
with some scenes stretching too long while others feel rushed
The film also tries to incorporate a larger-than-life aura around Dev
reminiscent of Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic roles
The action in Deva is one of its highlights
with well-shot sequences that make use of Mumbai’s urban landscape
Jakes Bejoy’s background score enhances the film’s intensity
though none of the songs stand out significantly
The cinematography captures the grittiness of Mumbai effectively
immersing the audience in its chaotic yet thrilling atmosphere
exudes all the swag and aura needed for the character
his constant smoking throughout nearly three-quarters of the movie made me feel like I was passively smoking through the screen
Unfortunately, Pooja Hegde is underutilized
Her presence in the story feels more like an afterthought rather than a well-rounded role
the film could have benefited from giving her a more meaty part
The climax of Deva does manage to deliver a thrilling payoff
tying up loose ends and revealing shocking truths
The film's major drawbacks include its inconsistent pacing, lack of emotional depth in key relationships, and the underutilization of talented actors like Pooja Hegde. While Deva maintains a gripping premise
it doesn’t fully capitalize on the emotional complexity of its protagonist’s journey
Deva built theatregoers' intrigue with a cryptic trailer that concealed too many plot details
Deva only features one song; Mika's foot-tapping Bhasad Macha
This was a pleasant delight because the storyline didn't require unnecessary song inclusions

With the help of his brother-in-law DCP Farhan Khan (Pravessh Rana)
Dev strives to recall the missing puzzle pieces and unravel the identity of Rohan's killer
The question arises; who killed Rohan and why
With a 48-hour deadline, Dev collates all the evidence he has on Rohan's murder case but constantly reaches a dead-end. That is until he encounters a woman, who unbeknownst to him was his extramarital lover before he fell in love with journalist Diya Sathaye (Pooja Hegde)
*Spoiler Alert* — Dev arrives at the police station and heads straight to Farhan's office
giving his brother-in-law Rohan's case report
While Dev has entered most of the details including who the killer is
Dev reveals to the viewers that Farhan already knew who the killer was as the former had sent him a voicemail before his accident
Turns out it's Dev himself who killed Rohan
Rohan found out that Dev was the mole in the police force who was aiding gangster Prabhat Jadhav (Manish Wadhwa) by divulging vital information to him
after Prabhat brutally attacked the police force
Dev changed his mind and killed Prabhat himself
Rohan, an honest cop, refuses to give Dev a second chance as the two close pals embroil in an intense verbal showdown. Scared that Rohan would out his dirty secret at the former's medal ceremony, Dev orchestrates Rohan's murder
Dev creates his almost-perfect alibi by using a timer-equipped rifle and firing the kill shot at Rohan with his mobile phone during the medal ceremony
While Dev is initially “guilt-less” of killing his best friend
he has an emotional breakdown after finding out that Rohan had decided to give Dev a second chance
Rohan rehearses his medal speech which revealed that he was going to give his medal to Dev as it was actually him and not Rohan who killed Prabhat
In the climax
a grief-struck Dev decides to turn himself in as Farhan confessed that he needed the former's genius investigative skills to solve the case
a heated brawl ensues between the police forces and prisoners in jail
An imprisoned Dev uses his trademark violent tactics to help the cops and beat up the goons
