Chisinau - The primary objective of the study visit to Vilnius
undertaken by colleagues from the European Integration Bureau

along with other representatives from the Moldovan Parliament and Government
was to explore the process of accession to the European Union
as well as to enhance knowledge in negotiations with the EU
Organized by the International Republican Institute
the visit provided the delegation from Chisinau with the opportunity to engage in a series of meetings with Lithuanian officials
including representatives of the Seimas Parliamentary Committees
Discussions centred on Lithuania's experience in the EU accession process
notable transformations in the Baltic country
and the advantages of accession for Lithuanian citizens
the delegation from Chisinau expressed gratitude to the Vilnius officials for their support to the Republic of Moldova in its European journey
senior consultant in the Accession Process Coordination Directorate of the Bureau for European Integration
"We are still at the beginning of the path
and it is imperative to enhance our knowledge in the process of negotiations with the EU
and effectively communicate with the general public on matters related to European integration
to ensure citizens are informed and engaged in this process."
Lithuanian officials voiced their support for Moldova's European trajectory and commended the momentum of progress achieved in reforms aligning with EU standards and requirements

Agência FAPESP – The State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) will host the São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Contemporary Logic, Rationality and Information (SPLogIC) on February 6-17, 2023. The event will celebrate the ninetieth birthday of Professor Newton da Costa
and the forty-fifth anniversary of the university’s Center for Logic
Epistemology and History of Science (CLE-UNICAMP)
The event is for undergraduates, graduates and early-career researchers, and is funded by FAPESP via its São Paulo School of Advanced Science (SPSAS) program
its main aims are to provide an overview of state-of-the-art methodology and research on contemporary logic
and to attract qualified candidates to work at research institutions in São Paulo state
The program will comprise eight courses and nine keynote addresses delivered in English by experts on each topic
as well as oral presentations and poster sessions by students
Keynote speakers will be leading researchers in logic
The speakers from abroad will include Diderik Batens
Emeritus Professor Ordinarius of Ghent University (Belgium)
known most of all for his work in adaptive and paraconsistent logic; Israeli mathematician Arnon Avron
Professor at Tel Aviv University’s School of Computer Science and a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence; and Elena Dragalina-Chernaya
Head of the International Laboratory of Logic
Linguistics and Formal Philosophy at HSE University’s School of Philosophy and Cultural Studies (Russia)
Topics to be covered include History and Philosophy of Paraconsistent Logic; Australian
Israeli and Polish Schools of Paraconsistency; Logic and Reasoning; Logic and Information; Logic and Argumentation; Methodological Aspects of Interpreting
Translating and Combining Logics; and Logic
graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from all countries are encouraged to apply
50 from all parts of Brazil and 50 from abroad
accommodation and meals throughout the event
Applications will be accepted until October 30 and may be submitted online via the School’s website
