Boden Kapke Transfers to Boston College April 23
Kapke joins the Eagles after spending the previous two seasons at Butler
The Princess of Wales made her first public appearance since her Easter break on Tuesday
and she looked stunning in her preppy spring ensemble
The 43-year-old royal was joined by her husband Prince William in Scotland's Isle of Mull
while also celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary
William wore a grey plaid jacket with a crisp white shirt
Princess Kate loves British high street brand Boden
her Longline Safari Shirt is a capsule wardrobe essential that she no doubt reaches for on repeat
while the longer length makes it easy to tuck into trousers
but Boden is currently offering 15% off all full-prices pieces with code PQ4D (or 10% and VDXR if you're in the States)
It's still available in UK sizes 6-22
but likely to sell fast since the royal has been spotted wearing it
Customers have said it's slightly oversized
so you might want to size down if you prefer a more fitted look
This outfit is a tried-and-tested formula for Princess Kate who loves a tweed blazer with slim-fitting trousers and hiking-style boots for outdoor pursuits
Her Boden shirt is so versatile as it would also look amazing with linen shorts or wide-leg trousers this summer for an off-duty look
the relaxed-fit piece is made from pure linen and gets five-star reviews from customers
"This is the best linen shirt I have ever owned and exactly what I was hoping for," wrote one
While another said: "This is a lovely blouse
It's worth paying the extra over linen blend in this top

Firehouse 51 just isn’t the same without Wallace Boden! Fortunately, Eamonn Walker returns as the beloved now deputy commissioner in the Wednesday, April 16, episode of Chicago Fire
(His last episode as a series regular and last appearance until now was the Season 12 finale.)
He’s back in “Post-Mortem,” to investigate a disastrous firefight and the surrounding mystery that left one of their own in peril
How was it though to step back into Boden’s shoes
but have it be a Boden who has to question these firefighters that he cares so much about and question the person who is now in his office
and so when I stepped back in as Eamonn and I walked onto Cinespace lot and I hadn’t been on the lot since I walked away
let’s do this.” And then I went and got changed
and there was the cast and the crew and the production
There was like a round of applause and a welcoming no other
Let’s move.” So it was amazing to go back
Boden says the night before was every firefighter’s worst nightmare
Then the logline teases that one of their own was left in peril
So what can you say about what happened that leads to Boden coming in
The only reason a deputy commissioner has turned up at a firehouse is because it’s bad… The chief would normally handle this
because what’s in question is the choices and decisions you made
every officer is potentially by the end of the night going to be fired
So that’s why the deputy commissioner is there
and the fact that they’re his friends and extended family makes it doubly hard
And so part of the thing that is being played out is them wanting that old relationship back and Boden not allowing it to happen because the seriousness of the incident is the thing that must be played out first
What can you say about that firefighter that was in peril
I can say this: I’m not going to tell you who it is
and that’s why this episode works so well
when the moment they sent it to me and said
“Do you want to come?” I was like
“Definitely.” Because it’s very special
And Reza [Tabrizi] who shot this particular episode was so excited to shoot it
and when he explained all of his ideas for it
This isn’t a normal episode of Chicago Fire in any shape or form.” So I hope that you will be on the edge of your seat because we were when we were making it
When I spoke with Dermot Mulroney, he said that Boden goes full inquisitor
So with which firefighters does Boden really have to specifically do that
you’re in question because you’re the ones who make all the decisions about to save the people in the house and to make sure that your fellow firefighters come home
and they’re potentially going to die
And we have to make sure that we know what we’re going to do and who’s responsible come morning
The investigation has started then — that’s the immediacy of this investigation and how intense it all is
What can you say about those conversations that Boden has with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), Severide (Taylor Kinney), and Herrmann (David Eigenberg)
They don’t want to be in this situation
They don’t want to be on the other end of Boden’s ire
And they don’t want to disappoint him either
And for a majority of these people who are now officers
and every officer in that house is on the hook
and nobody knows who’s going to be there by tomorrow morning
And let’s put it this way: If this person dies
Speaking of the chief, how would you describe Boden and Pascal’s dynamic? Because showrunner Andrea Newman told me it’s contentious and then Dermot called it a great standoff
I wouldn’t say it’s a great standoff or anything like that
I’m going to turn around and say there’s a crackle between the two of them
It’s a really nice tightrope between the pair of them because in some ways
they’re very similar but at the same time completely different
It’s the thing I think will keep you on the edge of your seat
how these two tall pillars of the firehouse have to make out their differences
But there’s only one person who’s going to win at the end of that
and that’s the person in the hierarchy
and that’s Boden if he decides to make it
But here’s what you know about Boden is he’s a very fair man
and he will only pull that trigger if you are at fault
And so that’s what’s on the line
So what I would say is there’s a crackle and there’s mistrust
We know that Boden wanted Herrmann to be chief when he left
So how does Boden feel about Pascal’s leadership style
but in the backstory … it’s not an accident that Pascal is the chief
Somebody put him there — who do you think put him there is all I’ve got to say
So things had to be shaken up and the comfortability that everybody had
familiarity breed contempt and laziness and all sorts of stuff and they needed a shake-up
It’s made everybody have to think about the P’s and Q’s
At the end of the day when you go on your full learning curve
he knows it’ll still be a better firehouse
Boden was not going to trust just anyone with 51 because that is his family
Even though with all the contention that’s been going on with the new chief
Boden hasn’t come in and said this is a terrible place
So I just want you to think about the aspect of it
Pascal has been questioning whether or not Herrmann really wants to be chief
And I have to say how much I enjoy the Boden and Herrmann relationship in general over the years
but the immediacy of this threat of somebody dying and somebody being fired takes over
So there isn’t much room for any old relationships
But how much of it you deal with and how much you get to see as an audience will be very little
What would you want to do as Boden should you come back
There’s another thing I’ll give you: To be a firefighter
and then you have to put yourself in a lot of heat
So I have not thought so far as to what I would do next
I’m just trying to get past this one
I’m just trying to get you to watch this one and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed filming it because it was so different
It’s not a normal Chicago Fire episode
The way it’s put together is different
It’s an excellent episode.” So it reads excellent
and I’m hoping you enjoy it as much as we do
With whom does Boden have the most tense conversation in this episode
Every officer has an incredibly tense conversation with Boden in this episode because everybody knows pretty quickly they may not be in a job in the morning
you are always walking with somebody’s life in your hand
you’ve got several lives in your hand
You have to make sure that these people get home to see their families
Then you have to turn up at that person’s house
it’s a microcosm of that particular society and it happens every single day
So that’s why my pride to be in Chicago Fire will never
ever go away because I know the job that they really do
thank you for putting everything on the line.” It’s what they do
What about 51 still feels the same to Boden as it did back in Season 1
There’s been so many changes over the years
But the core is the same and the core of love and respect and honoring what we do as actors
but honoring these first responders in their house — the fact that Firehouse 18 would let us shoot there every single week
And that’s why I mentioned Steve Chikerotis because he imbued every single actor of that first cast with his love of the Chicago Fire Department
And when we were actors turning up from LA and London and New York
we came under his umbrella and he put that love into us and you can’t turn up in that show and not start to put it back
When the cast and the crew and the production team come out and go
some difficult stuff through 35 below trying to talk while the blood in your face freezes
We can only do that if you’ve got your people behind you and somebody watching you go
but we’ll bring them back in a minute
That is a togetherness that it isn’t everywhere
It’s always been there in Chicago Fire
Is there any moment where Boden can feel proud of this firehouse that he built in this episode with what’s going on and with all these questions that are surrounding what happened with the call
He is proud of the fact that he taught most of these people how to do the job
and so he’s already proud and everybody’s come up through the ranks and all the rest of it
He’s proud that they are where they are
But you have to take the rough with the smooth and taking responsibility for your actions and your choices is part of it
And so I know you know I will do my job if you are at fault and that person dies

Scott Boden’s reputation as a partnership builder
strategic thinker and healthcare innovator earned him what it often does: an expanded job that hadn’t existed previously at Emory
that of Chief Partnership and Innovation Officer
This new position bridges two complex ecosystems – the Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) and Emory Healthcare – as Boden will serve on the executive leadership teams of both.
Boden, who took on the new position Jan. 1, will step down from his role as department chair but will continue as a tenured professor of orthopaedic surgery in Emory School of Medicine, maintain his clinical practice, and serve as vice chair for professional development and innovation in the Department of Orthopaedics. He also will still oversee the Emory Healthcare Innovation Hub in collaboration with Emory Digital as part of his new role
other leaders at Emory say Scott is the go-to person for negotiating advice
partnership advice,” says Ravi Thadhani
and vice chair of Emory Healthcare Board of Directors
“People trust him and feel his wealth of experience brings a number of assets to the table.”
Joining Emory in 1992 as an orthopaedic spine surgeon and clinician scientist
Boden built and led what evolved into the nationally recognized musculoskeletal (MSK) service line
“He has overseen a tripling in the size of the service line
was the impetus behind the Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital and
as chair of the Department of Orthopaedics
most recently was the driver of the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute,” says Thadhani.
In his new role as Chief Partnership and Innovation Officer
Boden will be responsible for maximizing external corporate partnership opportunities
and strengthening the culture and processes for innovation within WHSC and Emory Healthcare
Boden took time just before the new year to answer a few questions about his new role
the value added by pro-sports-team partnerships
and the importance of cheerful persistence
I’ve had nearly 33 years here at Emory
I got a reputation for taking on novel challenging projects and delivering results
An academic healthcare system is one of the more complicated environments to get anything done
There are competing missions and it’s highly matrixed
There are a million ways that the environment makes it hard to do simple things
to involve all stakeholders and not be overly dictatorial
But that’s not the way the real world works
We have to make decisions with the data we have
or we’re probably not taking enough risks
I think the best leaders have a burning curiosity
People often don’t say yes to bold ideas right away
it involves figuring out how to gain consensus
and remove obstacles; some of the bigger innovations took up to a decade to execute
But consistently delivering results on progressively larger projects earns increased respect and trust over time – and that is key
We have been able to forge many successful business partnerships at the system level with both long-term and heavily integrated partnerships
The first of our sports partnerships was with the Atlanta Hawks
and that has led to meaningful strategic partnerships with most all of Atlanta’s professional sports teams
We’ve established relationships with many other business partners and foundations
The Marcus Foundation and the Blank Family Foundation
both organizations must be able to achieve something they could not do on their own.
in MSK we started coaching and counseling people who were innovative and had that creative bug
so they wouldn’t leave for greener grass elsewhere
Growing your own innovative leaders is more complicated but more rewarding
This led to the highest faculty retention rate in orthopaedics in the country for nearly 25 years
We also were among the first academic departments (in the ‘90s) to collect patient satisfaction data and connect that to physician compensation to place more focus on patient and family experience
long before it became an expectation in health care
MSK was one of the first at Emory to embrace off-campus outpatient care delivery settings
Emory Healthcare now has 200-plus clinical care locations off Clifton Road
When we first proposed this there were worries we would secede from the union
allowed us to deliver a much better patient experience for a high-volume practice and expand our reach as Emory Healthcare became more of a geographically diverse system
A program can only grow so much with just one dot on the map
Innovation and challenging the status quo has been my MO: How can we be better
Data should be driving and validating the success of these changes
we still need to have a sustainable financial margin to reinvest in our mission of improving lives and providing hope
that’s one of the things that makes us different from for-profit healthcare systems that don’t have our quadrilateral mission of clinical care
We have the ability to attract philanthropy
some of which allows us to establish community-facing programs
We can also leverage some of our fixed assets and use them during non-peak time to serve the community
I think we have a responsibility to do that and we need to do our fair share
We can also impact people we don’t touch directly inside our walls through education
sometimes in partnership with other organizations
professional sports teams view themselves as community assets as well; they also have a mission beyond scoring points on the court or field
which is being a part of and giving back to the community
So when you have two community assets that can leverage each other synergistically
we take part in programs with Hawks players going into high schools where they have connections
We’ve created programming with the Hawks media department to educate public school students about various healthcare occupations and let them know which school subjects lead to those careers
Using pro athletes to help deliver messaging gains their interest and attention
We’re currently talking with the Falcons and Atlanta United and their community partners about a Healthy Georgia campaign where we will promote
lung cancer screenings or diabetes education
There’s lots we can do to improve care throughout the state and beyond and decrease disease burden by leveraging technology
synergizing with creative partnerships to better meet patients where they are
Emory is in the unique position of being the most prominent academic healthcare system in our state
so attracting top talent that values this environment and mission is a bit easier in Atlanta
We have an integrated health sciences center
a primate center and other components of WHSC that allow us to undertake more complicated endeavors and pull in our own resources while already being on same team
The scale and reputation of Emory in Atlanta and the Southeast gives us some initial credibility
but we have to amplify and earn continued credibility and respect by being responsive
Another plus: We have leadership willing to take risks
I have been fortunate in that many of the creative ideas I’ve been a part of eventually received support and were able to happen
That’s why I’m so excited about being at Emory and staying at Emory
That’s what still excites me about coming to work each day: now I get to help people throughout the organization engage in innovative
Almost every leadership position I’ve had at Emory didn’t exist before I had it
but subsequently evolved based on activities I was doing – Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center director
CMO/CQO at a new Emory Orthopaedics Specialty Hospital
Creating new things from scratch without a standard playbook takes a different kind of approach and is really in my comfort zone
So while this CPIO role hasn’t existed before at the WHSC level
it leverages many of the skills I’ve been honing along the way in other roles at Emory
I believe that often the best job is the one you make

The Rensselaer City School District is being sued by parents who allege that their son with autism was assaulted by staff members including being thrown to the floor and grabbed around his neck
filed in Supreme Court of Rensselaer County
is by Todd Rutecki and Lark Rutecki on behalf of their son Boden
They say that their son was diagnosed with speech difficulties at 2 ½ years old and later diagnosed with autism and a speech processing disorder
he is unable to tell his parents what happened during the school day
The lawsuit stems from an incident that happened on Feb
Superintendent Joseph Kardash informed the parents that Boden
The parents allege that the district was not able to provide any additional information about what happened during dismissal
It was not only until 25 days later that they were able to see the video of what happened
They allege that school staff members are escorting their son out of the building
Boden attempts to join another group of students
when one of the schools staff members grabs him across his body and around his neck and takes him to the ground
Their son is on the ground for a period of time before getting up and then falling down
He crawls to another wall for support and starts walking down the hallway
the staff member allegedly grabs him by the backpack
Boden is taken to the ground at least one more time
and then surrounded by three adults before he is allowed to leave the school and walk home
The lawsuit says that he had a traumatic brain injury and suffers from headaches
Boden was unable to attend full days of school
He stopped regularly attending after Memorial Day 2024
The parents are seeking damages and attorney costs
The lawsuit names Rensselaer City School District Superintendent Joseph Kardash
Van Rensselaer Elementary School Principal Jeffrey Palmer and three staff members
Todd Rutecki said the last 15 months have been difficult for his son
“School staff should never put their hands on a child – especially a disabled student whose disability makes physical touch painful due to sensory issues,” Rutecki wrote.
They are concerned that the superintendent reviewed the video
Rutecki is calling for the superintendent to be placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation of the incident
Kardash did not return an email or voicemail seeking comment
The district did respond to the Times Union
he said that the district extensively reviewed the allegations of physical restraint on that date
and said no student has been injured in such a matter as a result of physical restraint

A celebrity hairdresser, bedridden with Crohn's disease
describes feeling "blessed by angels"after a member of a Middle Eastern royal family offered her a five-figure sum to colour the hair of five princesses
Catherine Boden, a 42-year-old colourist from Oldham
is known for her signature "Hollywood Colour Blend" technique
She had cultivated an impressive client list over her 20-year career, including actors Michelle Keegan
a life-changing phone call from a Middle Eastern princess offered a glimmer of hope
requesting Ms Boden fly overseas for a royal appointment
“I got a call and she said ‘I’ve followed you for four years’
It was one of the princesses,” Ms Boden said
Now, Ms Boden travels to the Middle East every month or two
accompanied by a salon assistant and her 10-year-old son
grateful for the unexpected opportunity that saved her career
Ms Boden’s career began at Toni & Guy in Manchester
but she almost abandoned hairdressing in her 20s due to dermatitis
opening a small salon in her mother's garage
eventually building her reputation and clientele to its current celebrity status
Inspired by the colour theory she had learned as a make-up artist
Ms Boden developed and trademarked Hollywood Colour Blend – a technique similar to balayage which involves bleaching hair then applying a range of dyes to create a natural-looking multi-tonal look that needs to be redone only around every six months – and began charging £250 per appointment in 2010
word spread about her expertise and wealthy clients began to “fly in from all over the world”
She was able to raise her prices to between £400 and £500 per appointment and opened her first standalone salon in 2016
She coloured the hair of celebrities including pop star Tulisa and Coronation Street stars Helen Flanagan and Lucy-Jo Hudson
She also became the go-to colourist for many of the WAGs of Manchester, including Michelle De Bruyne, wife of Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne
Business continued to boom and Ms Boden hired a friend to manage a second salon in Ashley, Cheshire, but when the pandemic hit and lockdown rules meant neither salon could operate, Ms Boden decided to close the Ashley site permanently and bring all her staff under one roof, upsizing again in 2023 to a converted farmhouse in the Cheshire countryside
she had a “dream come true” moment when she coloured actor Michelle Keegan’s hair for the National Television Awards
Ms Boden suffered a huge flare-up of Crohn’s disease for the first time in a decade starting in June 2024
and pain “like childbirth” left her bed-bound
She had to visit hospital every eight weeks to receive a drug infusion which produced “crazy” side effects
you can’t stop eating because your appetite goes through the roof and you can’t sleep because of the steroids,” she said
“(The doctors) don’t know how long I’ve got on these drugs because they never know when your body’s going to reject them or build antibodies.”
The mother of one was unable to work for six months as a result
and her salon business was going “further and further into debt”
Ms Boden received a life-changing phone call from a Middle Eastern princess – Ms Boden asked that their country not be named – asking her to fly over for work
The princess offered to fly Ms Boden out to the Middle East
plus a massive fee to go and do their hair”
Determined to save her ailing company, Ms Boden agreed to travel to Dubai for her first royal appointment, despite still being severely ill.
“I ended up in hospital because I was that poorly, but I needed to go and get that money for the next month’s rent,” she said.
“I was literally wheelchaired through Manchester Airport because I couldn’t walk. But I was saved. I didn’t have to close the business down.”
When she travels to the Middle East, there is a hair salon in the palace, a “massive banquet” is laid on each time and she is provided with five-star hotel accommodation.
“Because they know I’ve got Crohn’s disease, they put me up in a wellness retreat spa, where they do fresh juices every morning for me,” she said.
“They properly look after me. Thank god I’ve been blessed by angels.”
At the moment, she is symptom-free and feeling optimistic despite the many setbacks of the last few years.

The Princess of Wales stepped out on her wedding anniversary wearing a high street linen shirt and it's an easy staple for spring
They might not be as glamorous as your best wedding guest dresses
but a classic linen shirt is something you’ll get a whole lot more wear out of throughout spring and summer
I especially love a white linen shirt with blue jeans or tailored trousers

The addition of Kate’s meaningful necklaces brought some subtle glamour
the high street linen shirt was the star of the show and a great piece to build an outfit around

I just went with any suits I wanted to try
Top (10) | Bottoms (10)
I’m straighter through the midsection and have a booty
I hope these details can help you figure out what might fit you
For a few years now, I’ve mostly relied on a beloved Boden one-piece to get me through (sold out, but similar to this one in green.) This year I wanted to try out a mix of both two-piece swimsuits and one-piece swimsuits
Looking back over this sesh here, I do need to try a new Boden one-piece suit on, just for kicks. Maybe I’ll do that soon and throw it up on our socials. But my beloved green Kefalonia halter suit (similar) is still going strong
I did find a few more inexpensive options that looked cute online
One Piece Suit (M)
Fit Notes: This brand is new to me but it was so cute I had to give it a try
The cutouts are just enough to show a little skin but not make me feel uncomfortable
The top flattened my bust a little bit more than I might want
but other than that this suit was a real winner
One Piece Suit (M, at CUPSHE)
Fit Notes: I’ve had a CUPSHE suit I’ve loved for years now and so I wanted to try another style
This one was great and provided some high neck coverage that I need for a spot on my chest
This had a little more coverage in the booty than some of the others
but I ordered directly from CUPSHE lately and it was an easy process
Swimsuit (similar)
Fit Notes: Dang it this one is out of stock currently, but gah love this alternative in the same 2 green shades
I think the alternative looks like it would be a little more supportive up top
I did love the textured fabric of this and the colors
CUPSHE was easy to work with for the order and the return
I was concerned since I hadn’t ordered from them before but they were great
When it comes to two-piece swimsuits these days
I’m still undecided on exactly what I want
I’m not a fan of most tankini-style tops
but I did try one from Boden below that I wound up loving
Left On Friday has always been a phenomenal swimsuit brand (so well made and feel like a hug on) so of course I had to try those in my updated size
Quince has been rocking it in just about every other area
so I knew I had to order up their two-piece suits to compare to my more expensive favs
Fit Notes: Have I mentioned I love Boden swimwear
They’re so high quality and the color blocking is my favorite
They do tend to run a little on the small side
The bottoms though I could have used a 12 to compare (the 10 fit but was quite tight and not quite high rise enough.) It could have been the style of the bottoms
I’m used to a higher rise in general now
I LOVE this set and keep thinking about reordering it in the size up
Rash guard (L) | Bottoms (L)
Fit Notes: When it comes to two piece suits
I had a different top and the same bottoms a few years ago in a size smaller and am SO glad I recently updated my set to fit me now
I had Mediums in both pieces before and now went to Larges
They are incredibly well made and last forever
I lay mine flat to dry but wash in cold just in the washing machine
This rash guard was a new addition to my collection and is so good for swim coverage
I have the top below on underneath for bust support
Top (L, D+) | Bottoms (L)
Fit Notes: I’m so happy to see Left On Friday has expanded their sizing some from a few years ago
This top is in a D+ cup size and it’s great
I feel so secure and gosh…their colors are just fab right
The High Tide bottoms are like a hug and are just cheeky enough without being too cheeky for me (I tend to lean in the middle for my comfort zone on bottoms right now…not full coverage but not showing lots of booty.) These pieces are an investment for sure
but if you like their style I promise they are worth it
Top (M) | Bottoms (M)
These swimsuits are remenescent of the Left On Friday above
They aren’t quite as well made IMO and don’t feel quite as secure/like a hug on your body but they are great for the price
The bottoms here are higher cut on the leg but still in-between as far as cheek factor
I much preferred the fit of the M top here
Top (L) | Bottoms (M)
Fit Notes: This is the Large top to compare
It just sits looser and doesn’t provide as much support
I didn’t even bother trying on the Large bottoms I ordered because the Mediums were great and not super tight at all
I would say if you’re truly between sizes
I hope this helps in your search for new suits if it’s time for you to find one
and supporting a job I love to provide…even when it comes to putting myself in swimwear up on the web
Would love for you to follow me + my stories over on Instagram…for comic relief

A 2-year-old boy who went missing in northern Arizona was found on Tuesday morning with the help of a rancher’s dog
The boy, Boden Allen, had been missing for 16 hours after leaving his home in Seligman around 5 p.m. Monday, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO)
deputies and troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety searched for Boden into the night
One DPS ranger on a rescue helicopter spotted mountain lions along the terrain Boden traveled
He was found 7 miles away from his home after a rancher reported that a young child had wandered onto his property
discovered Boden while patrolling the property
protecting him and directing him to safety
Boden told the rancher he slept under a tree while he was missing

Showrunner Andrea Newman called the episode “a thrill ride unlike any we’ve done before” in a statement (via the outlet)
“Told with flashbacks and unique POVs
Chief Boden leads our team on a search to discover the how
and why of a fierce firefight that ended in disaster.”
we cannot wait to see what he thinks of the way Pascal is running his house
now that Herrmann has taken the captain’s test — and passed — he’s on his way to becoming chief
Will Boden offer some advice about that while he’s around
“So the writers are going to have to figure that out.”

It may not have been the sort of realization that redirects the life of a young person
but it was a realization nonetheless to a young Boden Gardner that his first name wasn’t spelled exactly how his parents really wanted it to be
“I found out growing up that I was supposed to be called Bode
so I’m gonna roll with that,” Gardner said Wednesday on a sunny spring day at Roos Field
But call him whatever: The redshirt freshman wide receiver Gardner is having a great spring for the EWU football team
and he’s just getting his footing,” Best said on Wednesday
“He’s only been here less than a year … but he’s found a way to move the sticks and break some tackles
hasn’t caught a pass in an actual college football game
But last Friday – the day Best was referring to – he caught three passes for 114 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles’ first spring scrimmage
and the Red-White Spring Game will be one week later
Gardner is one of the taller of the Eagles’ 11 receivers
But he also has the speed – he anchored Mt
Spokane’s 4x400 relay for two state championships – which is an enticing combination for an Eastern team that has struggled to complete long passes over the past few seasons
Best pointed to a number of reasons for that lack
the way opponents have played them or the reads the quarterbacks have made
But he was emphatic about the team’s need to make more big plays in the passing game
the Eagles relied heavily on All-America receiver Efton Chism III
who wasn’t a true deep threat but an expert at getting open
He caught a school-record 120 passes – nearly half the team’s total of 247
it’s going to be by committee a little bit,” Best said
with all the injuries and the way we needed to play at times
The most experienced players in the corps are sixth-year senior Nolan Ulm
redshirt junior Miles Williams and senior Noah Cronquist
but even they only combined for 36 catches last season
Ulm and Williams each played just four games; Cronquist
played in 11 contests and tied with Wesley Garrett for the second-most receptions by a wide receiver with 15
that for second-year players like Gardner and Jaxon Branch – who had six catches for 111 yards and three touchdowns in the first scrimmage – and for senior transfers Drew Carlson (Fresno State) and Kysen Thomas (Washington State)
“Those guys who are really in their first spring ball are getting a ton more reps than maybe they anticipated
and by no means has it been perfect,” Best said
whose father Brian played football at Eastern in 1995 and 1996
grew up attending Eastern Washington football games
and I would sit right there,” Gardner said
How much Gardner plays this fall remains to be seen
“It’s been fun to be around Bode,” Best said
“He’s only been around here seven or eight months
and he’s pushing to get on the field sooner rather than later.”

A rancher's dog in Arizona is being hailed as a hero after rescuing a local 2-year-old boy who had wandered nearly seven miles away from home and spent the night in the desert
On Monday evening, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office got a report of the missing toddler, Boden Allen, who was reported to have walked away from his home in the small town of Seligman, Ariz., the agency said in a Facebook post.
Dressed in just a tank top and pajama pants, Allen spent some 16 hours alone as he wandered, according to the sheriff's office, and the desert area he walked through had at least two mountain lion sightings that night
Sheriff's office spokesperson Paul Wick told NPR that Allen's parents were "distraught" at the boy's disappearance and shared a teary reunion at his return
In an interview with the sheriff's office
"I'd heard about the missing child before I was going to town
and when I was driving out the driveway I noticed my dog was sitting down by the entrance
and the little kid's standing there with my dog."
Dunton said he suspected the boy followed a powerline down from his house and into his property where Buford found him and brought him in
I was ecstatic that he was ok and that my dog found him," Dunton said of the toddler
which are noted for their size and tender nature
The gentle giant guards around the house at night
protecting the property from threats of coyotes
Dunton told authorities that when he first got to the 2-year-old
the boy needed water and food to calm himself before he explained that he had spent the night laying under a tree
I can imagine he wouldn't leave him if he found him," Dunton said
expressing bewilderment that the child had made it nearly seven miles from home all on his own
Allen was in good health when he was found

Walker’s return comes in the next new episode
titled “Post-Mortem.” The promo offers a look at how the episode will be told in flashbacks and different perspectives
“Last night was every firefighter’s worst nightmare,” Boden says
Watch the promo for a look at the incident and more
This comes as Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), who replaced Boden at 51, is still significantly dealing with his grief after the shocking death of his wife, Monica (Kadee Strickland)
“Boden hand-picked Pascal for this (theoretically temporary) job of Chief at 51, but when they meet in a future episode, it’s very fraught: Boden is heading an investigation into what went wrong during a tragic firefight that Pascal was in charge of,” showrunner Andrea Newman told TV Insider
“So it’s contentious — Boden grilling Pascal about his every decision
That episode will define the relationship in some pretty emotional and complex ways.”
It’s really dire and it’s a super tense episode.”
He added that “working with Eamonn Walker was wonderful because he’s such a warm person and everyone was so happy to have him back
But the minute he becomes Boden and Boden at his most steely resolve
they pit Pascal’s steel against his and it’s really a great standoff
That was immense for — everyone’s thrilled
the whole crew was thrilled to see Eamonn back in his role on his white shirt
What are you hoping to see in Walker’s return as Boden

All this warm weather has got me shopping for summer
This new collection is full of gorgeous prints and colours I can't wait to wear
and this stellar collection has me filling my basket faster than you can say 'summer-ready.'
Boden is a gorgeous British clothing brand packed full of seasonal staples and statement pieces
From luxe knits to event and office-ready dresses to the ultimate holiday wardrobe finds
I'm always hard-pressed not to find something that I want to slot into my capsule wardrobe
With plenty of perfect pieces for hot weather
with lots of bold hues that will put a smile on everyone's faces
Long recognised for its fantastic use of print and colour
which has left me wistfully dreaming of beach holidays and poolside living
I've made no secret of the fact that despite a wardrobe full of dresses
it's my favourite Boden dresses that I often turn to to help me feel put together
"The Princess of Wales’s love for Boden goes back many years now
She has a particular fondness for its knitwear and accessories
but her recent visit to the Isles of Mull and Iona proved it doesn’t stop there
She has invested in two new Boden shirts this season
and they’re so timeless and versatile
I’m not at all surprised she picked them up."I've rounded up the nine pieces in my basket right now
This green and white cotton maxi is perfect for what to wear in the heat
while the A-line skirt and wide sleeves offer a cooling and breezy finish
The intricate print ensures this will turn heads from AM to PM
add a fitted camisole underneath in a coordinating colour
Boden shirt dresses are an absolute classic
and I have various iterations from multiple seasons that are still going strong
Lobster prints were everywhere a few summers ago, and I'm pleased to see this cheeky nautical design back on the market. I love the clash of red and pink, which gives this lobster design a point of difference. I'm really into wearing graphic t-shirts with A-line skirts right now for a smart casual outfit feel
and this will go with my collection nicely
before carrying it into autumn ensembles paired with blue denim
Boden always has a strong selection of trophy jackets, and I love the detailed embroidery on this design. Ideal for those looking for a boho style
this could be easily dressed up for a special occasion
or paired with a skirt or palazzo trousers
make like the model and use it to up-style a pair of jeans
and pick out one of the colours for evening
I have the sell-out pineapple print Boden dress from a couple of summers ago
The brand's statement prints are something it's known for
you could dress this skirt up for a coastal wedding or party
wear it to the office with a white shirt or a colour coordinating t-shirt
these palm trees are created from delicate beading
A fun little number I love the combination of pink and green and while the embellishment says 'evening glam'
the palm trees say 'wear me whenever you just need some added sparkle'
Perfect for holiday's where evening alfresco dinners might be a little cooler
so don't forget to add this at the checkout

This season's Boden collection is packed with print
Getting your spring/summer wardrobe in order can feel like a tall order
but I always like to start proceedings with a new dress
which for me epitomises that warmer weather is on the horizon
there is something for everyone; but it's the host of sunshine-ready dresses that have me reaching for my wallet
and this is my first dress purchase of the spring
ensuring it isn't see-through and has beautiful movement
With a relaxed fit through the dress, it's an easy breezy option for everyday and pairs brilliantly with my best white trainers or my favourite white cowboy boots (if it's a bit cooler)
and I'll wear it all summer long with tan or white sandals too
this mainline dress is more of a midaxi length (midi-come-maxi) on me
but it does come in the petite range should you prefer a midi silhouette
the gently nipped-in waist will skim over your midriff
this dress is relaxed enough to hang from the shoulder for a more floaty finish
For those looking to highlight or create curves
the embroidery detailing and waist seam help to create an hourglass silhouette
but I do like a more laid-back fit in this particular silhouette
but the brand often repeats its core silhouettes in multiple prints and colourways
and there are plenty of dresses that come in regular
for the office with a blazer and with a suede biker for a more directional feel
Dressing for the beach that I would like to be on, the boho style of this Boden notch neck dress taps into the bohemian part of my personality
but a floaty dress helps me still look and feel put together
Of course, this beauty will also be slipped into my holiday outfit ideas when the moment arises
Paired with some jewelled sandals and a raffia clutch for the evening
or a pair of Birkenstocks and a large tote for a day of sightseeing
I already know the cost per wear with this dress will make it worth the investment
is that there are so many other dresses dropping on Boden that I'm trying to work out what's next on my hitlist
RRP: £146 | This British clothing brand makes some of the best shirt dresses
and the Clara comes in multiple prints and patterns
This is the latest drop for Boden and I'm loving this print
I've had a similar silhouette to this in past seasons and have worn them almost to death
so I might just retire my beloved pineapple print iteration for this fiesta-feel design
RRP: £210 | This embroidered linen dress is ideal as we head into the summer months
so it will keep you cool both at home and abroad this season
The punchy pink and green colourway ensures this beauty stands out from the crowd
and you can swap the self tie fabric belt for a leather one for extra polish
One of the best wedding guest dresses
A silhouette from Boden I've not tried before
I'd pair it with some trusty cowboy boots and a leather jacket
dressed up it has to be a pair of block-heeled sandals and a bag that highlights one of the many hues in the print
now is the time to bolster your wardrobe with new-in buys
These will help you feel refreshed and energised for the months ahead
Opt for versatile investment pieces that you'll know you'll get plenty of wear out of

“We are unabashedly referencing a lot of other films in this movie
And each kind of chapter also has its own specific influences—culturally
Boden and Fleck didn’t want to make a singular
treating the film like a compilation of visual and cultural sounds
“We kind of approached this a little bit as
borrows from the punk documentary aesthetic of The Decline of Western Civilization
using 16mm film and a 4:3 aspect ratio to ground the viewer in a scrappy
It’s a story where young misfits at the 924 Gilman club rise up against neo-Nazis—filmed with the fury of rebellion and the rough edges of zine culture.“That punk aesthetic… that has that punk vibe to it
“As soon as we get into that punk fight… we start exploding out into a more comic book bag.”
The visual language of the film evolves with each chapter — widening the screen
and leaning into hyper-stylized moments — culminating in the sleek 2.39:1 widescreen format of a classic kung fu movie by the time the final story begins
“It doesn’t necessarily feel singular throughout,” Boden says of the film’s style
“It’s not like a single album by one artist… but like a mixtape by multiple artists that hopefully feels complete and satisfying by the end.” The filmmaking duo met in a summer filmmaking course at New York University
and began a decades-long collaboration that gave them the confidence to embrace to a big swing and embrace the tonal shifts of Freaky Tales
“We wanted to allow each chapter to feel like its own genre,” Boden says
“But then stitch them together through music
“Sundance has completely changed our lives
I can’t say that about many things but I can definitely say that about Sundance.”
One of the most entertaining sequences in Freaky Tales is boosted by Oakland native Tom Hanks’ delightful cameo as Hank
the quintessential overbearing yet endearingly passionate cinephile who presides over a small
dispensing wisdom and an endless string of movie recommendations
came straight out of Fleck’s life experience
“My first job was in a mall mom and pop video store similar to the one in Freaky Tales
and then unfortunately Blockbuster came around and ate up all the small video stores
And I ended up going over and working for Blockbuster too
Blockbuster didn’t have NC-17 movies so I remember people just coming back really upset that they rented Bad Lieutenant
thinking they were getting the NC-17 version
And I could sympathize with their frustration.”
Boden and Fleck’s lives and career have been indelibly shaped by another city-Park City
the filmmaking duo has had five films premiere in the Utah mountains at the Sundance Film Festival
four of them feature length. They credit the festival with establishing their careers
“Sundance has completely changed our lives,” Boden says
“I can’t say that about many things but I can definitely say that about Sundance
and no connections at all to the film industry
what it would mean to be a professional filmmaker
and came out of it going to that festival with
and connections and support towards learning how to take steps to do that
to become a professional filmmaker and have a life doing that… so it’ll definitely be strange…I don’t expect to have a film there next year
so I don’t know if we’ll ever be back at Sundance in Park City again.”
their knack for bringing stories and cities to life on the big screen with detail
and emotion that’s rooted in the truth of lived experience has truly captured the imagination of us all
And as the most powerful freaky green stuff of all transports Sundance to Boulder
perhaps they’ll be leaving their mark and being influenced by that city next
their talent and passion for storytelling is a force to be reckoned with anywhere

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 15 “Too Close.”]
Firehouse 51 has just suffered a devastating loss, especially for its chief, Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney)
Below, showrunner Andrea Newman answers our burning questions about those major developments as well as Eamonn Walker‘s upcoming return as Boden
Why kill off Monica and in the way you did
Andrea Newman: One of the first things we learned about our new Chief Pascal was that he and Monica had a very complicated relationship
Pascal was willing to cross any lines to protect her
So now that the worst imaginable thing has happened to her
Will this bring Pascal closer to the gang at 51
or will he do something that destroys these relationships he’s been working to build
Seeing Dom Pascal pushed to the edge will be a sight to see
What can you tease about the aftermath and grieving for Pascal
The promo teases he’s not letting it go and the others are worried about him at work
And as much as 51 wants to help Pascal through his grieving
their chief is a man who plays things close to the vest
but there will be surprising bonds formed along the way
and we could still be seeing Pascal dealing with his grief significantly at that point
Is that something that will come into play
What can you tease about their interactions
Boden hand-picked Pascal for this (theoretically temporary) job of Chief at 51
it’s very fraught: Boden is heading an investigation into what went wrong during a tragic firefight that Pascal was in charge of
So it’s contentious — Boden grilling Pascal about his every decision
That episode will define the relationship in some pretty emotional and complex ways
Pascal suggested that Herrmann might not want to be chief
Is there conflict coming between Herrmann and Mouch
since Mouch didn’t say anything about that conversation with Pascal
This is such a fun and intriguing triangle — everyone has different desires/skills/relationships — and Pascal
and Mouch are all heading full speed towards the end

Once a part of Firehouse 51, forever a part of Firehouse 51. At least, that’s what Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) said before he left to become Deputy Commissioner at the end of Season 12 of Chicago Fire
And though he was replaced as the Chief of Firehouse 51 by Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney)
with Boden set to reprise his role in the show
the question is whether his appearance is a one-time thing or if Chief Wallace Boden is coming back to Chicago Fire for good
and the welcome that I got was second to none
I feel very privileged as an actor to have a cast
and a production office step up and welcome you home.”
More: Meet the Chicago Fire cast’s real-life partners
But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s ready to step into the show full-time again
I will always come back and do it if I can be here,” he also said
“It’s a wonderful thing to be part of the Chicago Fire family
We support each other in so many ways that people can’t even possibly imagine
on and off the screen.” That makes it sound like Boden will indeed be back again
even if he won’t return in a permanent way
More: See the Chicago Fire cast then vs. now
there’s the fact that Boden is now the Deputy Commissioner
so he can’t just be hanging out at Firehouse 51 all the time
it’s like a parent who has raised his kids and must now trust them to do things on their own. “Now he’s got the whole Chicago Fire Department
so all of Chicago is under his wing,” Walker also told Deadline
“He knows the reputation he received for having a favorite with Firehouse 51
and he can’t afford to have that as Deputy Commissioner.”
Boden will likely always have a soft spot for Firehouse 51, and he will be there for them in their personal lives when they need him to be. And, as Deputy Commissioner, he will step in where necessary. But as for coming back to Firehouse 51 for good on Chicago Fire, the answer is likely no. Firehouse 51 is Dom Pascal‘s for now
and likely Christopher Herrmannn’s in the future
and that’s just something we’re going to have to get used to

BODEN Agency has successfully launched the Abuela-Approved AI campaign
demonstrating the power of culturally resonant communication in the technology sector
strategically positions AI as a supportive tool for Latina mothers
drawing on the trusted figure of the abuela (grandmother)
The core insight behind Abuela-Approved AI stems from the growing integration of AI into the parenting support systems of Latina mothers
A recent survey revealed that an impressive 56% of Latina moms who utilize AI consider it a valuable asset within their parenting network
This highlighted a unique opportunity to showcase AI not as a replacement for traditional support but as a complementary resource
akin to the wisdom and guidance passed down through generations
The concept of featuring abuelas emerged from the deep-rooted cultural reliance of Latina mothers on their own mothers and grandmothers for parenting advice
By thoughtfully pairing the time-honored wisdom of abuelas with the efficiency and accessibility of AI
the campaign effectively bridges the gap between tradition and modern technology
making AI more approachable and relevant to this key demographic
BODEN Agency played a pivotal role in every stage of the Abuela-Approved AI campaign
from initial conceptualization to final execution
BODEN spearheaded the creative strategy in close partnership with Microsoft’s communications team
Leveraging their deep expertise in multicultural marketing
BODEN ensured the campaign resonated authentically with Latina mothers and the broader community
The agency meticulously curated every detail
from the culturally rich décor of the immersive launch event in New York City to a targeted and personalized media outreach strategy across diverse news platforms
emphasized the campaign’s success in building trust: “We firmly believe that the ‘Abuela-Approved’ approach has been instrumental in fostering greater confidence in AI
Our primary goal was to demonstrate to mothers that Copilot can be a reliable source of support in their daily lives
We were heartened by the feedback from both mothers and abuelas who were genuinely surprised and delighted by the myriad ways Copilot could assist them.”
The campaign highlights how AI tools are proving invaluable in assisting Latina mothers with navigating bicultural parenting challenges
and supporting bilingual language development
and culturally relevant assistance address crucial needs identified in the survey among mothers balancing traditional expectations with the demands of modern life
Reflecting on the key takeaways from the campaign
“A significant lesson we learned is the undeniable power of grounding our communications in profound cultural understanding
By investing the time to truly understand our target audience
we were able to craft a campaign that felt both genuine and impactful
Our inherent cultural fluency allowed us to connect with this vital community in a way that felt natural and relatable
The campaign successfully positioned Microsoft Copilot not just as a technological tool
but as an additional layer of support that mamas can truly rely on
This intentionality deeply resonated and ensured the message was received authentically within the community.”
