Also known as “The Queen of Shitty Robots”
Giertz will be promoted at the University’s Academic Ceremony on March 21
robot builder and YouTube personality with millions of followers
has been appointed an Honorary Doctorate in Informatics at the University of Skövde
I've been living life with a high school diploma and I always wished I had gotten a proper degree
so this feels like the nicest possible sign that I did okay anyway,” she says
She was born in Stockholm and attended high school in both Sweden and Kenya
she was also an exchange student in China for a year
she studied physics for a year at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm
“I picked physics for all the wrong reasons – it was allegedly the hardest thing you could study and I desperately wanted to prove to myself that I was smart
It took lots of trial and error to figure out what I wanted to do in life and I'm glad I gave myself the time to experiment.”
Her interest in machines and robots began in her early twenties
She found robots funny and loved watching them mess up in different creative ways
I find that building stuff is just the perfect combination of being incredibly humbling (it's hard!) and then making you feel like an absolute wizard when you figure stuff out.”
Simone Giertz has been living in California
She became famous through her YouTube channel
where she shares her inventions – often humorous and intentionally dysfunctional robots
“It was a kind of mechanical comedy – a robot arm that tried serving me breakfast but threw milk and cereal everywhere
and an alarm clock that slapped me in the face with a rubber arm.”
she has increasingly focused on projects that solve everyday problems in unique ways
like a baseball cap that can transform into a full-sized tote bag
Although her robots don’t always work perfectly
they have made technology more accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience
But when it comes to choosing a favorite innovation
Simone Giertz has been a full-time inventor for almost a decade and has plenty to choose from
“But my favorite useful invention is my foldable coat hanger
I also have to mention Truckla – a pickup truck that my friends and I built from a Tesla Model 3
She is the gem of my garage and an absolute joy to pick up lumber in.”
Simone Giertz is a role model for the University's students
She shows that it is possible to experiment and have fun with technology
“The University of Skövde would like to recognize Simone Giertz as a pioneer and source of inspiration
our students are provided insight into a mindset that sees failures not as defeat
but as part of a learning process and positive development,“ says Alexandra Krettek
Simone Giertz will be promoted to an Honorary Doctorate during the University's Academic Ceremony

It is still debated whether arterial elasticity provides prognostic information for cardiovascular risk beyond blood pressure measurements in a healthy population
To investigate the association between arterial elasticity obtained by radial artery pulse wave analysis and risk for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in men and women
50.2%) not taking antihypertensive medication were included
C2 (small artery elasticity) was measured using the HDI/Pulse Wave CR2000
Data on acute myocardial infarction or stroke
Cox- regression was used to investigate associations between C2 and future CVD
adjusting for confounding factors such as age
HOMA-IR (Homeostatic Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance)
the mean age of 46 ± 10.6 years and over the follow-up period
we observed 108 events 70 events in men [event rate: 5.9%]
there was a significant increase in the risk for incident CVD by 36%
The results were accentuated for all men (HR = 1.74
p = 0.003) and women over the age of 50 years (HR = 1.70
We showed a strong and independent association between C2 and CVD in men
similar tendencies and effect sizes were observed
We investigated whether arterial elasticity
predicts incident CVD in a Swedish study population free of overt disease at baseline
Blood pressure was measured in a lying position after five minutes of resting
Two measurements were performed one minute apart and the mean value was used in the study
The measurement of blood pressure was made at the same time point as the pulse wave record
Higher values of C2 indicate more compliant arteries
Quartiles of C2 were defined based on the distribution of C2 for men and women separately
Quartile 1 for C2 is defined as the lowest
quartile 4 for C2 is defined as the highest value for arterial elasticity
Cardiovascular disease was defined as acute myocardial infarction (ICD-10: I21
The data on CV morbidity were obtained from the Hospital Discharge Registers
The information for CV mortality and all-cause mortality was obtained from the Swedish Cause of Death Register
These registers are a valid alternative to revised hospital discharge and death certificates
We define CV events as a summary of CV mortality and morbidity
We use CV mortality and all-cause mortality in separate analyses
Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS 26
All our statistical analyses were two-sided
The p value for the statistically significant test result was p ≤ 0.05
Mean and standard deviation (SD) were presented for continuous variables
C2 had a skew- distribution with significant differences between men and women
we chose to define C2 quartiles separately for women and men
Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox- regression were used to investigate the association between quartiles of C2 and CV events
We examined the association between quartiles of C2 and CV mortality and all-cause mortality with Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox- regression in separate analyses
Cox regression analysis with adjustments for possible confounders were performed in different models
systolic blood pressure as a continuous variable and heart rate
Model 2 included adjustments for all the variables in model 1
LDL-cholesterol as a continuous variable and CRP
model 2 was included and lifestyle factors such as alcohol consumption
smoking and physical activity were added to this model
we used adjustments for pulse pressure instead of systolic blood pressure
We added statin medication for the model 2 in an alternative adjustment
To investigate the possible modification of menopause
we performed a stratified analysis for women (<50 vs
to assess consistency with the overall findings
We performed C-statistics for model 3 to analyze the incremental role of C2 compared with common CV risk factors
The average age of participants in this study at baseline was 46 ± 10.6 years. The average follow-up time was 14.8 \(\pm\) 2.4 years. The population’s characteristics showed significant differences between women and men in most cardiovascular and metabolic variables (Table 1)
The values and distribution of C2 differed by sex with C2 quartiles for men
median 8.87 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (IQR: 6.53–11.01) and C2 quartiles for women
median 6.83 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (IQR: 4.57–8.99)
C2 indices were significantly higher for men and highest in both women and men under 50 years (men<50 years: 9.77 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (SD ± 2.96)
men≥50 years: 6.23 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (SD ± 3.21); women: <50 years: 7.86 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (SD ± 2.76)
women≥50 years: 4.53 ml × mmHg−1 × 100 (SD ± 2.58)
During the follow-up time, we observed 108 CV events. Of these, 70 events occurred in men (event rate: 5,9%), and 38 in women (event rate: 3.2%), with 11 of the 38 among those under 50 years. Most CV events occurred in individuals within the lowest quartile of C2 (Table 2)
The number of all-cause mortality is 120 (event rate: 5.1%)
and the CV mortality is 37 (event rate: 1.6%) under the same follow-up time
Kaplan-Meier analyses of the association between C2 quartiles (Q1–4) and incidence of CVD
a significant association was abserved between quartiles of C2 and both CV mortality and all-cause mortality in the crude model (HR = 4.04
lower C2 is associated with a higher risk of CV mortality and all-cause mortality
The significance was lost when we adjusted for age (HR = 1.36
Most of the CVD events in women were registered over 50 years of age (under 50 years: N = 11, over 50 years: N = 27). In women above 50 years, quartiles of C2 were inversely associated with increased risk for future CVD in the crude model (HR = 2.68, 95% CI: 1.21–5.91, p = 0.015), but were attenuated after adjustments (HR = 1.7, 95% CI: 0.69–4.20) (Table 3)
When we use C2 quartiles as categorical variables in the model in the full sample
Cox regression shows a significant difference between C2 quartiles 1 and 4
There were significant differences in hazard ratio when we compared individuals at the lowest C2-quartile 1 with the other three quartiles (p < 0.001)
These differences remained significant between C2 quartiles 1 and 4 after adjustments for possible confounding factors according to Model 3 (4th quartile is the reference: 1st Quartile: HR = 4.27
there was a minor decrease in C-statistics
we showed an independent association between C2 and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality regarding AMI and stroke in men
Similar results were found for postmenopausal women but were not statistically significant after adjustments
There are no studies with longer follow-up times and lower mean ages than ours
lower small artery elasticity (equivalent of higher arterial stiffness) was associated with an increased risk for CVD in these studies
Our findings in this population-based study confirm that impaired small arterial elasticity increases the risk for CVD over time
The major risk factors for reduced arterial elasticity
not least because of mutual connections and dependencies
We adjusted for major cardiovascular risk factors such as age
high blood glucose due to insulin resistance or DM
The results for survival analyses regarding CV mortality and all-cause mortality are consistent with the main results
lower C2 is associated with a higher risk of CV morbidity and mortality
The young age at baseline and the limited number of CV-related deaths in these analyses makes it difficult to draw conclusions on the association between C2 and mortality
Analyses with C- statistics showed that C2 had a minor incremental role compared to common CV risk factors
The change in effect size was too small to conclude that the use of C2 would improve the predictive models in clinical practice
we note that lower values of C2 often precede increased blood pressure and so may be used as an early marker of increased risk
A low value of C2 should lead to increased surveillance and possibly to the use of blood pressure-lowering medication
We note the limitations of this study in answering the question of the associations between C2 and CV mortality and all-cause mortality due to the limited number of events
A larger cohort in the older population might be more suitable to address that question
We observed associations between C2 and CVD
where arterial elasticity predicts CVD independently of other known risk factors
including blood pressure in a general population without known diabetes mellitus or hypertension
It would be desirable to develop a simple measurement method for arterial elasticity that makes the technique easily accessible
Previous studies have shown that higher arterial stiffness predicts a higher risk for cardiovascular diseases
A few studies examine the predictive value of arterial elasticity for future cardiovascular diseases in the general multi-ethnic population
Our study focuses on a younger population with a long follow-up time than previous studies
Showing that small arterial elasticity predicts cardiovascular disease independently of other known risk factors
including blood pressure in a general population in men
even at a young age and after adjustments for all possible confounders

The University of Skövde is a college located in Skövde
Sweden where game design students have the opportunity to study abroad and take classes based on their major alongside Swedish peers and other international students
According to Game Design Coordinator Ed Brillant
students studying abroad here often take drawing and introductory programming courses
Thomas Ordway (‘19) attended the program abroad in 2016 where he took courses like Introduction to Game Design
“I did also go [to Sweden] because it was a study abroad program for my major of game design
however that was mostly secondary to the main fact of I just wanted to shake things up,” Ordway said
Brillant cited an issue with the current program at the University of Skövde
“The biggest problem right now is that we would like to see more of the advanced courses taught in English,” Brillant said
“Intro to Game Design was really just a paper prototyping class as in we just would make board games with really tight restrictions,” Orway said
While Brillant thinks the University of Skövde is a great game design school
are taught in Swedish and are unavailable for international application
SNHU is working with the partnership to open up more game design courses to English-speaking students
“We are trying to get more course equivalencies; because our program is so rigorous
we would like to see more of our students’ major courses equate when they study abroad,” Brillant said
This will prevent students from falling behind when they return
“[The study abroad program is] not only a great way for students to experience another country
but to be a part of one of the best game design schools in that country is a great opportunity,” Brillant said
Ordway notes an opportunity students have taking game design courses in Sweden
Skövde starts with just the raw principles of game design
whereas SNHU starts by teaching people how to make games (programming
which is a government funded organization that supports gamedev startups
Ordway had hoped he would have access to this Incubator because notable companies like Coffee Stain Studios
“I wanted to talk to the developers inside and make some connections and so on.”
Opportunities exist to bring SNHU and University of Skövde students together
“I would love to see it [the partnership] grow of course
but I would really love to see some collaboration between our students and theirs on game projects or game jams,” Brillant said
Though this program is strictly geared toward game design majors
specifically those interested in programming
Brillant suggests that additional programs including computer science and IT could be a future possibility

“This acquisition is an integral part of Gasum's strategy to accelerate the growth of cleaner transport solutions in the Nordic countries
We are very pleased with the acquisition of the Skövde biogas plant
as it will help us increase our own biogas production and bring added value to our existing plant base,” says Johanna Lamminen
The acquisition of the Skövde production plant will promote large-scale biogas production in the area
Potential raw material suppliers with significant quantities of feedable material available need a stable partner capable of receiving and handling large quantities of different waste materials
Gasum is now able to source raw materials from sites that would otherwise have been considered outside Gasum's local biogas plant network
This offers significant synergies in raw material sourcing
The Skövde biogas plant also produces biofertilizers for use on local farms
This region of Sweden is known for its agriculture and organic production
Through the production of renewable biogas
Gasum is able to provide local farms with industrial-scale circular economy solutions
Biogas is a completely renewable energy source that can be produced from a wide range of biodegradable wastes
The use of biogas as a transport fuel can help reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil diesel
Gasum now has 15 biogas plants in Finland and Sweden
and the company is one of the largest biogas producers in the Nordic countries
Gasum will bring 4 TWh of biogas from its own and its partners' production to the Nordic market
Development of the new BMS version is the result of a separate training effort that aimed to test LSS Mark 2.0
The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (Försvarets materielverk-FMV) has tested a new battle management system (BMS) for the country’s armed forces
The field verification test of the new system
was executed last week by the Swedish Armed Forces’ soldiers at P4 in Skövde
the BMS is undergoing a series of verification and field tests
Development of the new BMS version is the result of a separate basic training initiative
The effort required FMV to install a new command support system
aboard the combat vehicles of the Swedish Army’s two training companies at P4 in Skövde
the operators reported issues in the functionality of the support system such as problems with its radio’s range and speech quality when put under different conditions
the FMV then assigned a team of specialists
Don’t let policy changes catch you off guard
Stay proactive with real-time data and expert analysis
The team investigated and resolved the specified issues by conducting extensive assessments in a lab environment
FMV systems engineer Zakarias Priebe said: “The verifications have generally gone well and the improvements we saw during the autumn remain
Users once again agree that system has been improved
“The most obvious shortcomings for the soldiers were experienced in the speech connection.”
The work of the Tiger team is now expected to culminate later this summer with the final delivery of the new BMS 3.1.2 to the Swedish Armed Forces
Priebe added: “Perhaps the most important experience of Tiger Team that both the armed forces and FMV have drawn is that FMV must be able to make final verifications in a real environment to increase the quality of our deliveries.”

The epic viking survival game comes to the tabletop
created by award-winning designer Ole Steiness and MOOD Publishing
Find more information here
the funding campaign will be launching later this year
The Valheim board game will be designed for 1-4 players that will take on the roles of mighty viking heroes
working together to prove their worth to the Allfather as they adventure through Valheim
forcing players to band together to survive as they explore the landscape
The Valheim board game will come with four initial biome types taken directly from the game: the Meadows
Players will then have to choose a character and start in a simple house with no resources to your name
Upon exploring the land and gathering initial materials
they will then be able to craft basic weapons to fend off any attackers
and venture even further out to improve their tools
reinforce their base and slay mythical beasts as the game evolves
MOOD Publishing will be developing an array of figurines and artwork to support immersion
including a viking longhouse that will represent players’ settlements
too - players will have to activate forsaken altars to challenge specific bosses
upon which they will be thrust into a boss-specific arena to test their mettle against some of Valheim’s darkest horrors
so designing this game is a dream come true for me,” says Ole Steiness
“Our goal is to make sure the tabletop experience properly reflects that incredible experience of exploring the tenth realm which took the world by storm
So far it has been coming together even better than we had hoped
“We definitely didn’t have ‘valheim board game’ on our bingo card when we set out to develop the game
but it is incredibly exciting for us,” said Henrik Törnqvist
“The prototype has captured the essence of Valheim better than we could have ever expected
We couldn’t be happier to work with Ole and MOOD Publishing on this as well
as their team has an amazing track record of staying true to the source and creating games that you can keep playing with your friends.”

The announcement represents the first hurdle towards the company’s ambitious plan to make its entire global operations climate neutral by 2025
“Improving energy efficiency is our first priority and then
we aim for supplies generated from renewable sources,” said Javier Varela
Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Logistics at Volvo Cars
The milestone was achieved earlier this month when the company signed an agreement to ensure all of the plant’s heating came from renewable sources: waste incineration
all of the plant’s electricity has also come from renewable energy
commented: “The Skövde plant achievement is an important addition to our broader efforts in minimising our environmental footprint
We are pleased to be a leader within the automotive industry in the move towards climate-neutral manufacturing.”
He added: “Environmental care is one of our core values
Along with our plan to electrify all new Volvo cars launched from 2019
climate-neutral manufacturing operations will significantly reduce our overall carbon footprint
supporting global efforts to tackle climate change.”
Varela said that the company’s achievement was just the start of ongoing work to reduce the company’s carbon footprint: “We will continue to work actively with our energy suppliers in all regions to secure further access to renewable energy for our manufacturing plants”
It is thought that the Skövde plant is one of only a handful of such climate friendly manufacturing plants in Europe

Volvo Cars ill assemble electric motors at its powertrain plant in Skövde
and plans to establish complete in-house e-motor production by mid-decade
It will invest 700 million SEK to this end in coming years. The company is committed to becoming a premium electric car company and aims for its global sales to consist of 50 per cent fully electric cars by 2025
with the rest hybrids. The Skövde operations have been part of the Volvo Cars story ever since the company’s founding in 1927
Adding e-motor production to the plant’s activities means the historic ground in Skövde will be a part of the company’s future as well. Volvo Cars announced earlier this year that it is investing significantly in the in-house design and development of e-motors for the next generation of Volvo cars
With the planned investments in Skövde
it now takes the first steps towards in-house e-motor assembly and manufacturing. In a first stage
the Skövde facility will assemble e-motors
the company intends to bring the full manufacturing process for e-motors in-house into a facility in Skövde. “The very first Volvo from 1927 was powered by an engine built in Skövde,” said Javier Varela
senior vice president of Industrial Operations and Quality
“The team is highly skilled and committed to delivering on the highest quality standards
So it is only fitting that they will be a part of our exciting future.” Taking over the role of the internal combustion engine in car engineering
e-motors are a fundamental building block of electric cars
together with the battery and power electronics
The interplay between these three component areas is crucial in developing premium electric cars. Bringing the development and production of e-motors in-house will allow Volvo Cars engineers to further optimise electric motors and the entire electric driveline in new Volvos
This approach will allow engineers to make further gains in terms of energy efficiency and overall performance. Design and development of the company’s electric motors takes place in Gothenburg
Earlier this year Volvo Cars opened a new electric motor lab in Shanghai
in addition to ongoing e-motor development in Gothenburg
Sweden and state-of-the-art battery labs in China and Sweden. The remaining activities at the Skövde engine plant
focusing on the production of internal combustion engines
will be transferred to a separate subsidiary of Volvo Cars
PES is intended to be merged with Geely’s combustion engine operations
Q&A: Future e-motor production in Skövde
Q: When will e-motor production in Skövde start
A: Full e-motor production is planned to start mid- decade
PES will be manning Volvo Cars e-motor operations in the plant.
Q: So will you assemble e-motors or will you produce them
A: In a first step there will be assembly of e-motors for CMA based EV models
Mid-decade there will be production of e-motors at the Skövde plant for the next generation cars
Q: Will Skövde produce e-motors for Volvo Cars globally
A: The plan is for Skövde to mainly supply our European plants in Ghent and Torslanda
But there is potential to supply other car plants as well
Further details on our plans for future e-motor production will be shared at a later stage
Q: How many jobs are created through these plans
A: The majority of people who will be working with the e-motors will be contracted from PES
Initially we are only talking about a limited number
but by mid-decade it’s expected that up to 500 people of in PES workforce will be involved in the production
The exact number of people involved will depend on market development and model mix
Volvo Cars aims for half its sales to be made up of full electric cars by 2025
Q: Will Volvo Cars produce e-motors at other locations as well going forward
A: Further details on our plans for future e-motor production will be shared at a later stage
Volvo Cars ambition is to source where we produce
Already today we assemble electrical powertrains in China for the PS2 and XC40 BEV
we assemble first generation electrical powertrains in China for the PS2 and XC40 BEV
Q: Why keep e-motor production in Skövde when the internal combustion engine operations are separated
will be contracted to supply the workforce for the assembly of e-motors
Volvo Cars has control of its e-motor production
and the hub of expertise in Skövde. Our ICE operations will be separated into a standalone subsidiary to Volvo Cars
with the potential to merge with Geely’s powertrain unit as a next step
This allows for better group synergies for those years when internal combustion engines will still have a role to play
the ICE unit in Skövde will be a stronger and more competitive player at the world market
Skövde is a powertrain expertise hub where we see potential in building from that expertise as we introduce our own e-motors.
Q: But everyone knows that it takes fewer people to construct e-motors than ICE engines
How will this affect the people employed at Skövde going forward
A: Our ICE operations in Skövde will be separated into a standalone subsidiary of Volvo Cars
The standalone company can also sell ICE engines to OEMs outside of the Geely group
Volvo Cars will contract the new company to supply people for the assembly of e-motors
How many people will work in the new company in the future will depend on a combination of future demand for its ICE products as well as on demand for electric vehicles
Q: What influence will the future PES company have on e-motor production
A: PES will be a key partner in Skövde in supplying expertise and manning for the installations and manufacturing processes for the new e-motor production
Q: What volumes of e-motors are you expecting to produce in Skövde
A: That depends on market development and sales model mix
We aim to grow our volumes over the next few years
and for half our sales to be made up of full electric cars by 2025
Q: How much will you invest in the e-motor production in Skövde
A: Volvo Cars currently plans to invest around SEK700 million in the production of e-motors at Skövde
The money will mainly be spent on production equipment
Q: Will Skövde also build e-motors for other Geely group companies
A: That is a question for Polestar and Lynk & Co.
Will the cooperation with PES in Skövde continue even when you do not need hybrid powertrains?
A: Our ICE operations in Skövde will be separated into a standalone subsidiary to Volvo Cars
Volvo Cars will contract the new company to supply people for the production of e-motors
How many people will work in the separated company in the future will depend on a combination of future demand for its ICE products as well as on demand for electric vehicles

has called their book Factfulness one of the most important books of our times
And the book is at the top of the sales charts in Sweden
The authors and founders of the Gapminder Foundation
Ola Rosling and Anna Rosling Rönnlund are appointed Honorary Doctors of Informatics of the University of Skövde
say Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Ola Rosling on their appontment
The duo will be appointed honorary doctors for their work in the field of Informatics in making complex statistics about the world's development in health
finances and environment attainable and understandable for a wider public
Their work is a contribution to a sustainable
Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Ola Rosling created the foundation Gapminder in 2005 together with Hans Rosling
they run the foundation with the purpose of fighting ignorance and misconceptions about global development
Ola and Anna had begun helping Hans with computerized visuals
They wanted to make his number-heavy and somewhat dry statistics more exciting and easier to understand
they developed the "bubble tool" Trendalyzer
Ola was in charge of programming and Anna of the design
and the couple moved to California for a few years to assist in developing the tool even further
That is where the idea of being able to explain the statistics
outside of Hans' lectures and the software
Hans never got to see the completion of the project
– We have worked with the book full time for two years
and the second year we carried on without him
The gradual creation of the book has been a very exciting journey
We could not even begin to anticipate this appreciation
It is already set to be translated into 33 language
there is a need for a neutral source of information
just as there has always been and always will be
we are delighted that the book has had such an impact
– In a time where alternative facts are widely spread
it is important that we fight ignorance with objective facts
When facts are shared in a way that makes everyone able to understand the state of the world
it is possible to make wise decisions on development
the effort that Anna and Ola has made in creating the foundation Gapminder and the software that visualizes the complex statistics are the perfect reasons for their suitability as honorary doctors in Information Technology at the University of Skövde
Their work covers the areas information technology
which is in line with the common theme for the University
Ola Rosling and Anna Rosling Rönnlund will be in Skövde for their official appointment and a lecture during the University's academic celebration

The Nottingham Panthers have acquired defenceman Albin Lindgren from Norway’s Stjernen Hockey
The 27-year-old spent the first part of the season in the Norwegian Fjordkraft-Ligaen
in which he recorded nine points (two goals
Lindgren has also played professionally in his native Sweden
with additional stops in Denmark and Italy

puck-moving defenceman,” said Panthers head coach Corey Neilson
“He has a great shot and he’s a guy we feel can really help with our transition game that has been lacking
He’s an excellent addition to the roster and will certainly make the team better.”
Lindgren is expected to debut in the Elite League on Friday
20 January on the road versus the Glasgow Clan
He is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday
The Nottingham Panthers have stuttered since Corey Neilson retook his position behind the bench at the Motorpoint Arena
There have been signs of improvement since the departure of Gary Graham
but they still have plenty of work to do to break into the top half of the table
Albin Lindgren is the type of player who could supercharge the Panthers in the second half of the season
formely of Skövde IK (Image: Skövde IK)
While the Swede’s offensive production has been exceptional recently
his ability to stay out of the penalty box also catches the eye
Lindgren has only been assessed two minor penalties so far this term and only spent eight minutes in the sin bin through the whole of last season
that means his teammates won’t have to dig him out of trouble on the penalty kill – which is always a valuable asset to have in a top-four defenceman
puck-moving defender to their blueline for a while – and that is exactly what they have found in Lindgren
