INDIANAPOLIS— At Lou Malnati's Pizzeria in Broad Ripple you'll find employees wearing purple t-shirts that say 'We need your love.' The back shows ways you can support their employee Taby Reed. "She’s the face to our guests but she’s very much of the core arteries of the heart of the store," said Alexander Smith, the general manager at Lou Malnati's in Broad Ripple. On November 25th at around 2:30 in the morning police were called to S State Avenue near E Washington for a shots fired call. Alice Story, Taby's grandmother, says she got a call from her grandson. "He says there’s someone here that wants to talk to you about Taby and I said what about Taby, he said she’s been shot," said Story. Story tells WRTV that Taby was near the train tracks on State Avenue when the car in front of her either stopped or was driving very slowly. Story says Taby beeped at that person and then passed them, that's when the driver shot her. "She has suffered brain damage," said Story. Story says she is able to open her eyes and on Sunday started slowly talking again. "I was so happy. I just burst into tears. I said you don’t have to tell me you love me. I know you do," said Story. Right now, the top priority is Taby's recovery, but Story says she still has questions. "This person who did this I have no hate. I have no bitterness toward him. Hate is not in me. I just want clarification on why this happened," said Story. Story is also stressing that a gun is never the answer. "I just want people to understand that aggression, gun activity, whatever anger issues you have, gun activity is not a solution," said Story. All five Lou Malnati's locations in Indianapolis will be raising funds for Taby. On January 4th there will be a fundraiser for her. QR codes on where to donate money are at the restaurants and they will also be taking cash donations that will be matched through the Malnati's Match program. she’s listening to we discuss transgenerational communication the cost of her commitment to the movement Congratulations on walking the red carpet at the premiere of The Stroll We were able to talk about our experience as sex workers and how we played a main role in the civil rights movement It allowed me to talk about my experience with the prison system and it captured the stories of so many different trans women It gives us the opportunity to resurrect some of those girls who never had the opportunity to tell their stories Just hearing their names is a constant reminder that we won't be erased but especially now in the midst of such frenzied backlash against trans people in the U.S I’ve been able to overcome impossible odds Faith plays a major part in what I stand on and my belief in who I'd call my higher power We're at a time in the world where there's so much representation in the face of resistance So when I think about what we have overcome and what I have accomplished as a Black trans woman I'm on the front lines of this liberation You are manifesting possibility for so many who will follow which is something I believe those of us who are queer and trans elders are called to do But when I first invited you to interview as part of this series you had to think about whether the term elder applied to you I was thinking I don’t really connect [with that word] because I don’t feel old or elderly Society has said that someone is elderly when they are 60 or 70 But I also know there is more work for me to do So being a trans elder is something that I'm starting to adapt to We're here to teach and guide the youth and to stand with them I guess that’s what it means for me as a trans elder Can you describe an experience in which you were able to pass on your knowledge and wisdom I’m able to go into public schools where I never felt safe to teach peer mediation through conflict resolution and critical thinking I’ve raised trans kids from families who did not want to accept them I have a whole ballroom community and queer community calling me Auntie Taby It’s something that lets me know I have to be responsible with how I show up for them What can they get from Auntie Taby that they can't get from anybody else I know what it is to have to survive and use sex work I am a former substance user and former sex worker I’ve lived with homelessness for multiple years But I’ve been able to go back to school in the city that once held me as a prisoner productively providing services and information for others who may have these same challenges because their families didn’t accept them I’m a Black trans woman who has been married for 10 years when the world said that I can't be loved We find community and understanding that we’re not just misfits or degenerates or abominations or all those things that the world says that we are We are essential to the fabric of this thing that we call humanity Who is a trans elder who has influenced your life [ACLU advocate] LaLa B Holston-Zannell and but it is so hard to give you just one when there have been so many who have influenced me So it’s those moments when I couldn't get Sean Coleman that I would turn around and reach out to Cecilia or Lala or Dominique Jackson and they were readily available to be there and support me in anything that I need I'm actually in this seat because of these elders Let me switch it around a little bit and ask about what you learned from younger queer and trans people I love everything about this new generation and they’re not going to ask for permission What does it take for elders to learn from younger people It’s about understanding that we were once them and that they will hopefully one day be us It’s about not using some of that toxic colonized thinking Our role is not to make miniature versions of ourselves; our role is to help guide them to be the best person they can be And the only way you're going to do that is by listening to them Can you describe any recent experiences where you have been able to celebrate Black and trans joy The most prominent one to me was going to Hawai’i with my sister and my husband That was the first time I’ve ever really traveled Everything about it was just a joyous feeling I was existing without having to explain why I needed to exist I didn’t have to say I'm a Black trans woman My identity wasn’t the only thing that they saw The other part was being with my family this weekend for my 49th birthday Not one time was it connected to our intersections of identity I'm talking about a family of transmasculine It’s been an honor to learn more about your journey and I’m so glad more will meet you through The Stroll Being away for 14 years left me at a disadvantage But it also saved me from a lot of the harm and violence that my siblings who are no longer here dealt with When the epidemic came and wiped out communities of color Sometimes it’s finding a balance between knowing what success looks like and moving past survivor’s guilt because you still have work to do And I guess that's what I want to say: No matter where you are in this world no matter what legislation comes against us This conversation has been condensed and edited Get the best of what’s queer. Sign up for Them’s weekly newsletter here. one of the most popular photo editing apps for iPhone especially amongst professional photographers It was built on a foundation that being able to access and organize your RAW photos should be as easy to do out in the field as it is in the studio Darkroom is more than five years old now and is currently in version 4.7 it won an Apple Design Award (ADA) following the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in 2020 I had the opportunity to chat with Taby remotely shortly after the ADA winners were announced about his pilgrimage to Europe to cover the Syrian diaspora and his thoughts on winning the most prestigious award an app developer could win Taby was born in Aleppo Syria and spent his childhood and early teens in a place he says was "late to technical advancements I was lucky enough that my family had a computer I was just instantly and completely smitten They seemed completely magical to me," he said Taby started out with art and design, and when computers came to his city, he naturally gravitated toward graphic design software like CorelDraw and found himself a regular contributor to Deviant Art which is an online community for artists to share their work and get feedback from others in the community Taby went from digital art to web design to building websites He says it was a natural evolution for him but you can click buttons on them and things happen It made sense to learn how to build websites." There's no question that Taby had an idea of what he wanted to do from the first time he used a computer He went from his first access to the Internet to taking computer classes in high school to graduation from the University of Michigan with a computer science degree He also interned at Apple while still in college and worked at Apple for a time after graduating He later joined a startup that was acquired by Facebook and then decided to join the Instagram team (which had been acquired by Facebook at this point This is where things started to change for Taby "I was very aware of how transformative the iPhone was to the world of photography It was really redefining what it meant to be a professional photographer because now you no longer needed a big backpack and suitcases equipment You just needed a phone in your pocket and a story to tell." While on a trip to Norway taking lots of photos on his iPhone Taby came face-to-face with the problems mobile photographers were having Why mobile photography couldn't be a seamless flow from camera to published work "The tools that I was using at the time felt like they were preventing me from expressing myself and telling the story that I wanted to tell because they required so much effort." The idea was to create software for the iPhone that was just as powerful and useful as a professional-grade camera system The app got positive feedback when it launched in 2015 and it was even featured by Apple in the App Store but Taby's mind was distracted by the Syrian Civil War the Syrian refugee crisis had become the dominant news story and it sparked something in this Syrian-born computer nerd "I was seeing all these Western media try to tell the story of the refugee crisis from a very Western perspective and someone with the ability and resources to tell the story And so I slowed my work on Darkroom and went to document the crisis." Taby says he is also matching the first $10,000 of the book's sales during this donation https://twitter.com/jtaby/status/1273288490365513728?s=20 In the process of documenting this journey and taking tens of thousands of photos with his co-author Sara Kerens Taby discovered even more ways in which a smartphone just wasn't good enough to be a main photography camera "The process of researching and preparing for writing the book was a very iterative process with multiple people giving feedback back and forth on the same photo The tools to do that (putting aside just the iPhone for a moment) just anywhere That experience really altered my whole relationship with professional photography," he said decided to be the harbinger of photography software that could allow us to do everything we need to tell a story through photography right on our iPhones Five years later and Darkroom 4 has received critical acclaim from the most respected design committee in the business; the Apple Design Awards committee "Ever since I got my first Mac and I saw what Mac software was I realized this is the standard I want to aspire to One of the reasons I left working at these big companies is that I felt the standard was not as high as I wanted to be It is an incredible honor to have actually been rewarded with an actual Apple Design Award which I'm still trying to believe myself." Though it's clear with the design and usability of Darkroom that it was destined to win an ADA humbly jokes about how he keeps thinking that we must be talking about someone else's app "Why do we care to build things that are beautiful and why do we want to win an Apple Design Award I think partly people like me and the others that won Apple Design Award this year view our work less as a job and we see it more as a craft and the little things that most people may not even notice that are ultimately our aspiration And there isn't another award in our field that will reflect that recognition like that Apple Design Award." iMore offers spot-on advice and guidance from our team of experts with decades of Apple device experience to lean on By 2023-03-08T13:21:00+00:00 Swedish modification specialist Taby Air Maintenance has conducted the maiden flight of its new Saab 2000 freighter conversion The aircraft was rolled out from the company’s Orebro airport facility on 6 March and underwent a post-maintenance flight concentrated on system tests TAM states that the turboprop has been in its workshop since autumn last year undergoing not only the freighter conversion but also an avionics upgrade and routine maintenance with all systems working as expected,” it adds. Further flight-testing is set to begin within a few days TAM has developed the Saab 2000F conversion for the aircraft in co-operation with Miami-based Jetstream Aviation Capital Jetstream Aviation Capital is the launch customer for the Saab 2000 cargo aircraft “Despite some delays in the conversion process I am glad to see that we now are back on track,” says TAM managing director Par Gulle The company already performs cargo conversion of the smaller Saab 340 turboprop Gulle says the 2000F has been developed with features to maximise operational effectiveness and that – combined with the 340 freighter – the company can meet “any need for a profitable regional cargo aircraft” TAM’s first 2000F carries the Estonian registration ES-NSJ Cirium fleets data indicates it was originally delivered and that Jetstream will lease the cargo model to Estonia’s NyxAir Swedish aircraft modification firm Taby Air Maintenance is preparing to start converting a Saab 2000 from passenger to freighter configuration says it is “finalising” the conversion project which will begin in the first quarter of this year TAM is modifying the turboprop for Miami-based launch .. the eve of a major drug indictment the last of Miami’s fabled “cocaine cowboys” was in custody Thursday nabbed on a suburban bike ride with his wife near Disney World Prosecutors say the man living under an assumed name is Gustavo “Taby” Falcon who was part of a homegrown drug gang that used super-fast speedboats to smuggle 75 tons of cocaine in the 1980s “Miami Vice” era when his older brother Augusto “Willie” Falcon and fellow drug kingpin Salvador “Sal” Magluta were indicted by a federal grand jury Marshals spokesman Barry Golden said investigators were surprised to find him living in a typical pink stucco home in a quiet “Nobody thought Gustavo Falcon was still in the United States,” Golden said At his initial court hearing Thursday in Orlando Gustavo Falcon agreed to be sent to South Florida to face charges of conspiracy to import cocaine into the U.S Augusto Falcon and Magluta were small-time drug dealers when they dropped out of high school in the late 1970s to begin building their cocaine empire that would amass more than $2 billion They eventually owned world-class ocean racing boats and lived like royalty who did prison time for flying cocaine loads for Colombia’s Medellin Cartel said the pair was known for their honesty in business deals — legal or otherwise — and the expertise of their boat-building operation They also drove flashy cars and lived in seaside mansions even when murders and shootings linked to their organization brought police scrutiny “They were so flamboyant,” Munday said “Everybody in the world knew what they were doing Gustavo Falcon was not viewed as a top leader of the organization and vanished just ahead of a 1991 indictment that charged him along with his brother He had not been seen since until Wednesday marshals surveilling his rented home in Kissimmee watched him and his wife leave their garage for a bike ride said he frequently saw the couple riding their bikes and never saw them in a car An older model pickup truck sitting in the driveway never moved and that was about it,” Pera said Thursday It took an exhaustive records search to bring the marshals there they discovered a Florida driver’s license issued to a Luis Reiss traced back to a South Florida home that had been owned by Gustavo Falcon Then they found 2013 car accident involving Reiss which eventually led to the house he was sharing with his wife Marshals followed as the couple got on their bikes and headed out Wednesday for what turned into a 40-mile ride Because they were both wearing helmets and sunglasses it took a while for investigators to make a positive identification marshals with guns drawn stopped the couple at an intersection a few blocks from their house “We had to be 100 percent certain this was the guy,” Golden said Gustavo Falcon told authorities he had been living in the Orlando area since 2009 and in the rental house since 2012 It’s not clear where he was during all the other years but officials say it’s believed he was living overseas for some of that time Authorities said they did not know if Falcon had a job His brother and Magluta were acquitted of all charges at their trial in 1996 leading to the resignation of then-Miami U.S Coffey and others went to a strip club where he got into an altercation involving the biting of a stripper it turned out that Augusto Falcon and Magluta had bought off witnesses and at least one member of the jury a foreman who did 17 years in prison after accepting $400,000 convicted of drug-related money laundering in 2002 and sentenced to 205 years in prison then accepted a plea deal in 2003 on similar charges He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and is scheduled for release from a Kentucky facility on June 17 bank accounts and other ill-gotten gains are long gone said Augusto Falcon and Magluta should have disappeared as well “They were guys who went from nothing to having just about anything they could imagine that they wanted,” he said “As soon as they got the innocent verdict they should have hauled out of here to Argentina.” Associated Press contributors include John Raoux Follow Curt Anderson at More amazing than the remote possibility that Taby's mummified corpse will be retained by the Florida Department of Corrections for the next three millennia is the virtual certainty that he will spend the rest of his life in prison unless he successfully appeals his sentence explains that prosecutors charged each of 200 videos on the hard drive attached to Taby's laptop as a separate count of possessing child pornography (They alleged that there were as many as 1,000 videos but did not charge him in connection with the rest.) Possessing child pornography is a third-degree felony from which a judge may deviate only in extraordinary circumstances prescribe a minimum term of 208 years for the charges Tabey faces any sentence longer than a few decades is a life sentence for a middle-aged man "The prosecutors have misplaced their zeal," Kibbey says by throwing the book at consumers of child pornography instead of the producers Remember when 152 years for possessing child pornography seemed like a lot? time after a judge denied a motion by his attorney to dismiss his case that charges him with 200 counts of child pornography argued for dismissal on the grounds that the law which attaches a minimum of 10 years of jail time per count “If the statute was blatantly unconstitutional obligation to find it to be unconstitutional,” said Martin Circuit Judge William Roby at Wednesday’s hearing “But I do not find the statute to be unconstitutional.” a 50-year-old who worked in engineering at Pratt & Whitney was arrested in May after investigators reported finding more than 1,000 images and videos of children engaged in sexual activities on an external hard drive attached to his laptop computer Kibbey argued that the law charging Taby with multiple second-degree felonies was “overkill” and meant to punish those who victimized children not the “passive collectors” of images and videos involving children “How does that reconcile itself in an argument that (a) person could be facing death in prison for merely looking at dirty pictures?” Kibbey said But assistant state attorney Vicki Nichols said each image and video was a separate crime and should be punished as such “We’re allowed to overkill because (Taby) committed a thousand crimes,” Nichols said “He’s the reason he’s facing thousands of years (in jail).” whose decision pushes Taby’s case to its first trial hearing March 19 said he thought whether or not the statute was unconstitutional would be a decision for the court of appeals the three-judge panel in appellate court would be more likely to make a decision about the constitutionality of the law which has incarcerated Taby for nine months “It’s not over yet by a long shot,” Kibbey said Brand participation agency 31ST:SECOND has expanded its team by appointing two new staff Taby Taylor-Ziane as strategy director and Malcolm Gray as art director ahead of a big 2015 Taylor-Ziane joins 31ST:SECOND as strategy director and will work across all accounts including Nestlé Taylor-Ziane has joined 31ST:SECOND from Pacific Magazines where she worked as consumer insights and strategy manager and more recently from Landor Associates as director of strategy Says Taylor-Ziane: “I’m delighted to be joining 31ST:SECOND – an agency which is highly creative There are some integral campaigns planned for 2015 that will really showcase what the agency is capable of strategically and creatively – I’m excited to be part of this.” Newly appointed art director Malcolm Gray who has previously worked as head of art at The Collaborative Agency and BADJAR Ogilvy Melbourne will also lead new business development at 31ST:SECOND Says Gray: “You would struggle to find a bunch of more talented and hilarious people than the team at 31ST:SECOND Joining these guys is like being picked for the top team in the competition except you never thought it would be so much fun.” executive creative director at 31ST:SECOND: “We are extremely excited to have Taby and Malcolm on-board as part of the 31ST:SECOND team We are confident Taby has the talent and experience to make a difference to our offering and we’re looking forward to Malcolm strengthening our current and prospective clients and brands.” Both appointments are effective immediately Hands down one of the nicest guys in advertising Register for Free and receive the Campaign Brief Daily Bulletin Type your hydrostatic pressures in particular the vertical forces generated by the basements’ inherent buoyancy These can generate enough uplift to threaten the overall stability of the building above If enough of the deadweight of the building is carried by the basement structure this risk can be nullified - but that was not the case at the new seven storey city hall in Täby Heavily fissured granite had to be blasted and sawn to create space for a two storey basement car park measuring 53m by 36m in plan The lower storey is entirely below normal groundwater level is not cancelled out by the building’s deadweight as main contractor Sweco engineering project manager Peter Hniopek explains “The office above has a wider span than the car park levels which means there isn’t enough deadweight on two column lines on the lower floor Smooth operator: The heavyweight concrete flowed well and was easy to compact the foundation pad would lift along these two lines.” Originally Sweco had proposed to solve the problem with rock anchors but the need to drill wells for ground-source cooling below the basement would have complicated installation and probably added significant extra costs a member of the Sweco project team had previous experience of heavyweight concrete The alternative of adding high density ballast to the basement looked increasingly attractive “We realised that heavy concrete would give us the extra deadweight needed without excessive volume,” says Hniopek it would be much quicker than rock anchoring meaning we could meet our agreed delivery time.” The laws of physics also endow high density concretes with another crucial advantage in what is effectively an underwater environment Archimedes’ Principle states that a body immersed in water will be subject to an uplift equal in weight to the volume of water displaced Thus a cubic metre of concrete will lose around 1t of deadweight when immersed Temperature control: Groundwater from the sub- basement wells cools the building in the summer Sweco was aiming for a density of 3,700kg/m3 which in effect meant that the high density concrete would have an effective deadweight of 2,700kg/m3 when immersed more than twice that of normal concrete in a similar situation This was based on the choice of magnetite (iron ore) as aggregate LKAB Minerals could supply magnetite in zero to 2mm zero to 8mm and 2mm to 20mm fractions from its mine at Kiruna in Sweden understood to be the largest underground iron mine in the world A density of 3,700kg/m3 was easily achievable and compressive strengths equivalent to normal mixes would have been no problem (see box) compressive strength was not an issue and was not specified The normal concrete basement slab was designed to take all loading Basement subcontractor Skanska production manager Daniel Kedland says that constructing the basement is “like casting a large boat.” He adds: “We calculated that by casting two ‘loaves’ under the base slab we could create the deadweight we needed.” (See diagram) These “loaves” measure 3m wide by 550mm deep and extend across the 53m length of the basement The concrete arrived ready mixed and could be placed with the truckmixers’ chutes Kedland admits he had some concerns before placing began “I had never worked with heavy concrete before I was worried that it would be very stiff and difficult to compact and there were no real problems.”Overall the verdict on the super dense concrete was very positive It was much easier to work with than some feared and was quicker and simpler than the rock anchoring alternative Heavyweight concretes first appeared on the large scale in the 1950s and 1960s paralleling the growth of the nuclear power industries in the UK and United States Their much greater density made them a realistic option for radiation shielding reducing the thickness and volume of concrete needed to contain deadly ionizing gamma rays Later the booming offshore oil industry also took advantage of the higher densities to ballast pipelines and seabed installations Most major hospitals now have radiotherapy treatment centres where heavyweight concrete is usually the radiation shielding solution It has also found uses in counterweights on cranes Vital ingredients: MaganDense magnetite aggregates concrete density is determined by aggregate density Options include barites or barytes (barium sulphate) Barites concretes have a density of around 3,500kg/m3 With magnetite a density of 4,000 kg/m3 is possible while lead shot aggregate can yield a density of 8,900kg/m3 Such concretes are very expensive and difficult to handle All heavyweight concretes suffer from similar drawbacks Truckmixers and skips can only carry a significantly smaller volume than normal Heavyweight concretes can be successfully pumped but wear and tear on pumps and mixers will be greater And more energy is usually needed to achieve full compaction unless plasticising admixtures are used so poker vibrators have to be inserted at closer centres Compressive strengths equivalent to normal density concretes are readily achievable A typical C25/30 mix with a wet density of 3,900kg/m3 using magnetite aggregates would have a cement content of 290kg/m3 and a water/cement ratio of 0.55 Swedish magnetite aggregates in a range of sizes are available in the UK from LKAB Minerals Barites (barytes) aggregates are produced from mines in Scotland and to a lesser extent in England although the primary use of UK barytes is to increase the density of drilling fluids for oil and gas exploration Barytes production and hence the availability of barytes aggregates for concrete is influenced directly by the fortunes of the oil and gas industries Durability of magnetite and barytes concretes is similar to that of mixes using other types of natural aggregates Durability and compressive strength can be enhanced by the inclusion of condensed silica fume (microsilica) and modern high range water reducing admixtures (superplasticisers) Special registers of civil engineers deemed competent enough to sign off on… The fourth of our special reports aimed at helping civil engineers once anonymous car park “It would be more accurate to call it a poli-square” “because the urban space actually contains six squares: the seating square where people can sit and relax; the market square for concerts and theatrical performances; the orange playground for children; and finally the light space and the water square which through the use of light and water complete the whole atmosphere of the place” The six areas are graphically demarcated by the use of different patterns for the pavement (which from above look like a bar code) and stylistically by the use of various materials Complementing the whole scene are the lights and confirm the flexible and dynamic character of the ten thousand square metres of Täby Torg and website in this browser for the next time I accused the Consulate of unprofessionalism when she went to pick up a passport on behalf of an applicant The Consulate said the lady’s frustration was borne out of her not familiarising herself with the requirements before she arrived at the Consulate described her experience at the consulate as horrific and deliberately delaying Part of the many accusations she posted included that an embassy staff member named Mimi told her there was no printer to print out a consent letter she was asked to send via email indicated that it is not the practice that it prints out letters or documents for persons that visit for transactional purposes It further explained that the delays Yaa Taby experienced at the Consulate were “borne out of her not familiarising herself with the requirements before her arrival at the Consulate.” Below is the Consulate’s full response it came to the attention of the Consulate General of Ghana in New York that a social media post on X by one Yaa Tabby was being given wide prominence in the media as a result of what she describes as an unpleasant experience at the Consulate General on 27th March 2024 Consistent with the practice of the Consulate this publicly made feedback of its services has been internally reviewed to establish what transpired during the visit of the lady and to gauge how performance on that day aligned with agreed standards while the Consulate General would have addressed its response to the complainant in private it is constrained to do so publicly because the issues the complainant has put out in the public domain if left unaddressed impugns the hard-won reputation of the Consulate General of Ghana in New York Tabby came to the Consulate General of Ghana in New York to pick up the passport of an applicant whose visa had been issued several weeks ago and had been called by the Consulate to either pick up the passport or send in a self-addressed envelope with stamps for the passport to be mailed back since contrary to the application procedures the applicant had omitted to add a self-addressed stamped envelope Tabby arrived at the Consulate and registered her presence for consular service she wrote her name rather than the applicant’s name leading to understandable delays as the officers sought to identify the passport using her provided name as the reference when the matter of the name of the applicant was resolved it was realised that she had no authority note from the applicant to pick the passport It is important to underscore that by the regulations that govern the Consulate the passport of an applicant cannot be given out to a third party unless they submit an authority note signed by the applicant authorizing them to pick the passports on their behalf Tabby showed in due course an electronic version of an authority note and was advised to print it out to enable the note to be attached to the physical records of the visa application This requirement is standard practice for all persons picking applications on behalf of applicants and was not an arbitrary rule targeted at Ms Tabby questioned why she had to print the authority note after she had shown it to the officer an officer of the Consulate printed the authority note and handed the applicant’s passport to her contrary to the requirement for officers of the Consulate not to interface in the process of getting authority notes submitted Tabby witnessed as people picking up passports on behalf of other applicants were none other than officials of recognized travel and tour agencies in the U.S that submit visa applications on behalf of visa applicants Taking into account the initial delay and the demands for compliance with the rules for pick-up of passports by third parties on behalf of applicants the Consulate General can understand the frustration of Ms Tabby and the behaviour she exhibited at the premises of the Consulate including what she herself has publicly recounted Her frustration was borne out of her not familiarising herself with the requirements before her arrival at the Consulate The Consulate General of Ghana in New York takes this opportunity to indicate that it remains committed to providing the highest standards of consular services to both Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian clients in a customer-friendly manner as is possible over the years we continue to receive positive feedback from several satisfied client and we hope that Ms Tabby’s next experience would be a positive one for her We also take this opportunity to encourage all users of the Consulates services to familiarise themselves with the requirements on our website at www.newyork.mfa.gov.gh Explore the world of impactful news with CitiNewsroom on WhatsApp Click on the link to join the Citi Newsroom
