Local personnel from Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) and Antin Infrastructure Partners’ joint venture company Infiniteria
are moving to the site outside Uddevalla where the joint venture company is establishing its first full-scale recycling plant
Among the personnel now starting to work from the site are Fredrik Alpner
along with about ten other key individuals
The construction of the joint venture’s first full-scale recycling plant based on Enviro’s technology has now been ongoing for almost a year
A first symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held on February 13 last year
most of the exterior parts of the plant have been completed
The next phase involves the installation of key production equipment
Fredrik Alpner and the team will temporarily move into barracks set up in the area while waiting for the administration building and other facilities to be completed. Infiniteria’s key personnel have, until now, shared premises with Enviro at Enviro’s headquarters in Frihamnen
“This is a new step in the construction of Infiniteria’s first full-scale recycling plant and marks the beginning of a new period in the establishment of full-scale plants based on Enviro’s leading recycling technology for end-of-life tyres,” says Fredrik Emilson, CEO of Enviro
the joint venture company had signed long-term binding agreements for the delivery of recycled carbon black and oil from the plant valued at approximately SEK 2 billion
2024 - Clariant is expanding its storage capacity in Scandinavia for the use of recycled mono propylene glycol (MPG)
Two new storage tanks and a truck unloading station have been installed at the company’s Uddevalla facility in Sweden to increase capacity and optimize handling of the product
the Clariant facility began using significant amounts of recycled MPG for Type I deicing products
offering customers high-performance products with
a more than 25% lower product carbon footprint compared to those made from virgin fossil-based MPG
The intended use of even more recycled material than at present will also help Clariant to reduce Scope 3 emissions
airlines and service providers in the Nordic and Baltic countries
The additional capacity at Uddevalla will enable Clariant to optimize operations and efficiency while continuing to drive sustainable value creation
supporting the company's circular economy principles
"The expanded storage and handling capacity in Uddevalla allows us to capture and reuse more recycled propylene glycol
reducing waste and the need for virgin fossil-based materials," explained Sven Dammann
"This investment underscores our commitment to increasing the sustainability of our portfolio through innovative recycling solutions."
the run-off material of deicing operations at airports is collected and can then be cleaned and pre-concentrated to approximately 50-60% at Clariant’s facility located at Oslo airport
The concentrate is transported to a partner for final processing into industrial grade glycol
Uddevalla takes this type of recycled glycol for the proportionate use in the production of SAFEWING™ Type I
The inauguration celebration for the expanded storage facilities took place in the first week of November 2024

joint venture company with Antin and Michelin
Stockholm – Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has advanced a joint venture project with Antin Infrastructure Partners and Michelin
Several key personnel from Enviro are moving to the site outside Uddevalla
where the JV company is establishing its first full-scale waste tire pyrolysis plant
and 10 other individuals who have until now been sharing premises with Enviro at its headquarters in Frihamnen
Infiniteria started the construction of the Uddevalla plant
most of the exterior parts of the plant have been completed and the next phase will involve the installation of key production equipment
The facility will have capacity to recycle 34.5 kilotonnes per annum of waste tires, equal to 40% of the annual ELT arisings in Sweden. (ERJ report)
the company has already signed long-term binding agreements for the delivery of recovered carbon black and oil from the plant valued at SEK2 billion (€170 million)
the JV has ambitious plans to construct end-of-life tire (ELT) recycling units across Europe with a total processing capacity of 1 million tonnes by 2030
The transfer of personnel marks “the beginning of a new period in the establishment of full-scale plants," said Fredrik Emilson
Race One: It was a superb EMX125 opening race which provided chaos at a very hard pack and technical race track
Zanocz cut across Doensen out of the start straight which saw the Dutch rider outside the top twenty but then something happened Zanocz on the first lap which put him behind Doensen
Everything was looking great for Mancini at the front but then heartbreak as his bike broke meaning a DNF
Dani Heitink despite being Dutch was riding great in the conditions and took a superb win ahead of Francesco Bellei and rookie
Doensen and Zanocz showed incredible pace to come through to fourth and sixth respectively
McCullough was twentieth on the first lap but made a number of passes to end up in twelfth
A better ride than it looks with the track being difficult to pass on
Race Two: There was plenty more drama in race two
It was Mannini who held the early race lead and he was looking great on his return to racing
Doensen was able to make a pass but then he crashed out of the lead promoting Mancini to the top spot
Then it was Mancini’s turn to crash out of the lead which saw Zanocz take over first position and bring home the moto win
It was all about Bellei though who was very consistent as he followed up his second in race one with a third in race two to take his first ever EMX overall win – a happy and emotional Italian
Heitink had a disaster of a start but rode really well coming from outside the top twenty – he was in eighth and had a podium in the bag but then crashed on the final lap dropping him to tenth and losing the podium
Doensen was able to benefit to take the final step of the podium but Zanocz extends his championship lead
McCullough was fifteenth around the first corner and quickly moved into twelfth before a crash leaving him last
He could only recover to twenty-sixth after losing a lot of time
That’s how the weekend went for Lucas Coenen in Sweden
with the Neestan Husqvarna rider managing to score maximum points in Uddevalla
The Belgian won the first race with a lead of over 7 seconds over Mikkel Haarup (Triumph)
while Simon Laengenfelder (GASGAS) secured the last podium spot
ahead of the KTM duo: Andrea Adamo was fourth and Liam Everts fifth
Adamo improved substantially but still didn’t have the arguments to beat Coenen
with #96 thus confirming the double victory on Swedish soil
Laengenfelder repeated his third position and thus finished on the podium again
this time ahead of championship leader Kay de Wolf (Neestan Husqvarna)
De Wolf remains the leader (725 points) but saw Coenen getting a bit closer
as he is second in the championship with 676 points
is also third in the championship with 653 points
Andrea Adamo (KTM) delivered a flawless performance at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Águeda
winning both MX2 motos and asserting himself as a title contender with a maximum..
the seventh round of the Motocross World Championship season
with both MXGP and MX2 classes hitting the track in Águeda
Simon Längenfelder sealed his second win of the day at the MXGP of Switzerland in the MX2 Motocross World Championship
clinching the overall victory in Frauenfeld
Simon Längenfelder was the winner of the first race of the MXGP of Switzerland in the MX2 Motocross World Championship
Kay de Wolf was the strongest in the MXGP Switzerland qualifying race
The rider did not always lead in Frauenfeld

On Sunday Herlings was nudged off the track around the second corner of the opening MXGP race
The Dutchman entered ‘salvage mode’ from that moment and only a small mistake and stall midway through the last lap prevented him from capturing a decent 4th place
and he immediately slotted into P2 on the first lap
He briefly had to pick-up and recover the #84 machine after a slip
Jeffrey sustained a bang to his left hand but made sure of 2nd place and 3rd overall
I had nowhere to go at the start on Saturday and this is definitely not the easiest of tracks for passing
I had work to do in the first moto after being pushed out: this did not help
A good start finally arrived in the second moto
I was behind Jorge [Prado] and I kept the distance but then had a pretty big one on the last lap
I still managed to finish on the podium and we have ten in a row now so I hope to keep the streak going
I hope my hand will be OK and it doesn’t feel too bad
The home GP always gives you the extra little boost usually and I hope I can use that to my advantage.”
Jeffrey Herlings keeps pace in pursuit of the 2024 MXGP title with his eleventh podium of the season and tenth in a row
#84 is 3rd in the standings and 48 points from the red plate
Race One: Isak Gifting in front of his home crowd grabbed the holeshot on his JK Yamaha and what an atmosphere
Gajser was aggressive in turn two as he went up the inside of Herlings who actually got out of the gate well but then got pushed off the track
Prado got a really bad start for his standards outside the top ten
Gifting lead for three laps to the delight of the home crowd before Seewer made a pass for the lead
Febvre was riding well but just couldn’t make passes stick
Gajser and Prado passed him before he could find his way around Gifting
Gajser and Prado passed Seewer on the same lap and a lap later Prado put in a fantastic pass on Gajser for the lead
Gajser though was right on his back wheel at the end – what a race
Herlings struggled the first ten minutes but then towards the end passed Vlaanderen and caught Seewer for fourth but when it looked like he’d made a move stalled the bike so fifth was all he could manage
Race Two: Prado got the holeshot and started to run into the distance at the front
It didn’t take Herlings to long to get into second but he couldn’t do anything about Prado who was immaculate around a very sketchy hard pack track
Gajser was third and looked content with a top three result but the championship gap is down to 17 between him and Prado
The construction of Scandinavian Enviro Systems’ end-of-life tyre recycling plant in Uddevalla has received its starting notice
has started to place orders for key materials and machinery for the plant
The General contractor for the construction is EBC Group together with Fratera Fastigheter
The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2025
“We have established an excellent cooperation with EBC Group, Fratera and the municipality of Uddevalla, which has been key to getting here. The starting notice is yet another milestone in Enviro’s ambition to reach a world-leading position within its field”, says Fredrik Emilson, CEO for Enviro.
The Uddevalla plant has been a keystone to the development of Enviro’s growth
taking the project from its low volume status to a proven technology with a large-scale production plant expected to be operational within two years
This, along with contracts to supply a growing number of rubber industry clients puts Enviro on track to hold a good slice of the rCB sector in Europe
Team HRC’s Tim Gajser got himself back on the podium at the MXGP of Sweden
held at the rocky Uddevalla track in front of a hugely vocal crowd
conditions were nearly perfect for the two motos today
where Gajser was able to go two-three for second overall
a third place meant that he was back on the podium and he still leads the championship by 17 points as they head into the final five rounds of the season
Race One: It was a perfect moto for Lucas Coenen after quickly passing Simon Laengenfelder who took the holeshot
The Belgian then ran away with things at the front
It wasn’t such a good race for his team mate and championship leader
Kay de Wolf as he ran off track at turn two and then had two crashes in the first five minutes whilst coming through the field
After that he calmed down and still got back to seventh
Mikkel Haarup had another strong ride passing Laengenfelder to finish an impressive second on his Triumph
Adamo also tried to pass the German but had to be content with fourth in the end
Race Two: It was a similar affair in race two as Laengenfelder got the holeshot and had Coenen behind him pressuring him
the Belgian made the move and ran off into the distance
Adamo also made a move on Laengenfelder to finish second to get back on the podium after missing Lommel
De Wolf didn’t get a good start and lost too much time in behind Everts but eventually made a move stick for fourth
He caught Laengenfelder and with a couple of laps to go had a big moment with a backmarker in mid air – he was able to push the backmarker and kept it on two wheels
The Michelin joint venture with Enviro and Antin has secured a series of multi-year contracts for the supply of used tyres and the upcycling of recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil
This first plant will have capacity to recycle approx
35,000 tons of used tyres annually and to create up to 40 green jobs in the local community
This joint venture announces the final investment decision for the construction of its first used tyre recycling plant
Antin and Enviro entered into the joint venture in March of 2023 to build a series of plants in chosen European geographies
The first factory, based in Uddevalla
has obtained all the necessary environmental and building permits and authorisations
and the plant is expected to be operational during 2025
the plant should create up to 50 green jobs in the local community during its first phase
In addition to obtaining financing for the construction of the industrial plant
the joint venture signed a series of multi-year contracts regarding the supply of end-of-life-cycle tyres as well as recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil.
reducing the overall environmental impact of its tyres.”
Lorenzo Resta spoke with Jeremy Seewer at the end of the MXGP of Uddevalla (Sweden)
The Swiss finished sixth overall with a 4-8 in motos
Seewer showed excellent speed to take over the lead in the first moto on lap four with a clever combination through successive turns and the Swiss maintained a secure two-second advantage until lap twelve when he was literally pushed back to third
Still unsettled by the incident he was also passed by teammate Febvre on the following lap before regaining his composure to finish fourth
From eighth on the opening lap of race two he needed a couple of laps to settle
going backwards to tenth before coming back strongly for eighth during the second half of the moto
The Board of Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has decided on the final location for establishing the forthcoming recycling plant in Uddevalla
and approved the company’s environmental permit application
The company will formally submit the application on Friday
the application process can take up to one year
The long-term plan for the facility in Uddevalla is to process up to 60,000 tonnes per year
which would suffice for the recycling of close to half of Sweden’s total annual volume of end-of-life tyres
Since 2013, Enviro has operated a wholly-owned recycling plant at Åsensbruk
with a permit for recycling a maximum of 15,000 tonnes of tyres per year
Enviro recovers materials such as Carbon Black
oil and steel from tyres through its own patented recovery process
Carbon Black is an essential raw material in rubber manufacturing
and the carbon black recovered at the facility in Åsensbruk recently became the first in the world to be certified under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification system (ISCC)
The recovered oil from the facility is also ISCC certified
making it extremely attractive for the oil industry and the chemicals industry
since it can therefore be used to increase the sustainability of such products as vehicle and jet fuel
Enviro plans to ultimately establish about four new recycling plants per year over the next ten years. The company has stated that West Sweden and Central Europe are its initial priority markets
Enviro receives MSEK 53 payment for costs incurred
of which half in cash and half as ownership share in joint venture
The payment covers part of the costs incurred by Enviro for establishing the full-scale recycling plant for end-of-life tyres in Uddevalla and Enviro will receive further payments to cover these costs
Construction of the plant in Uddevalla commenced last week
Enviro will receive revenue through both service fees and an asset fee based on the profitability of the respective plants while the company will have the possibility of building up long-term value through ownership in the joint venture
Enviro adds to the documentation for consultation concerning the Uddevalla plant
Scandinavian Enviro Systems plans to supplement the consultation documentation that has been submitted to the county administrative board in Västra Götaland ahead of a future permit application regarding the construction of a new recycling plant for end-of-life vehicle tyres
another alternative location for the recycling plant was identified
which is why an additional site within the industrial district in question in Uddevalla will be the subject of future consultation
The consultation pertained to the establishment of a new plant on an identified industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality
The company is now supplementing the consultation to encompass an additional alternative location
A total of two industrial sites will thus be the subject of future consultation
The property owner Fratera has been granted a construction permit for the planned recycling plant in Uddevalla
The construction permit pertains to the previously announced recycling plant that Scandinavian Enviro Systems plans to establish on an industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality
This summer, Enviro’s planned recycling plant in Uddevalla obtained an environmental permit to recycle up to 60,000 tons of end-of-life tyres per year
A final decision on establishment of the new plant is dependent on several factors
such as securing access to end-of-life tyres and agreements covering deliveries of recovered materials
Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB has submitted an application for a construction permit through the property owner
for the planned recycling plant in Uddevalla
and which was also previously announced by the company
The facility will have the capacity to process up to 60,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres per year
which would suffice for the recycling of half of Sweden’s total annual volume of end-of-life tyres

Monster Yamaha’s Jeremy Seewer dominated the MXGP of Sweden at Uddevalla
taking a win and a second to snatch the overall while HRC’s Tim Gajser got ever closer to another title
Valentin Guillod of iXS Hostettler MXGP Team was the Fox Holeshot winner
but the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing trio of Maxime Renaux
Jeremy Seewer and Glenn Coldenhoff were quick to pass the Swiss and take the first
Guillod dropped to fourth but was ahead of Team HRC’s Tim Gajser and Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado
Yesterday’s qualifying race winner Mitch Evans of Team HRC struggled in the first few laps of the race after crashing but managed to get going again and was making very strong progress throughout the race
Renaux then began to come under strong pressure from his teammate Seewer who was trying everything to get by
Guillod remained impressive in fifth after being passed by Gajser
but the Swiss put up a strong fight for much of the race
Evans was making strong moves towards the top 10
where he eventually finished after what was a strong effort from the Aussie
as Renaux opened up the gap to 2.020 seconds over Seewer and Coldenhoff
Gebben Van Venrooy Yamaha Racing’s Calvin Vlaanderen went out of the race after what looked like a mechanical issue
we saw Seewer get back onto the rear wheel of Renaux
as Gajser attempted to get by Coldenhoff who was able to fend off the Slovenian
it was a Yamaha 1-2-3 as Renaux took the win from Seewer and Coldenhoff as Gajser was forced to settle for fourth ahead of Prado
Guillod crashed on the final lap and dropped from 6th to 9th
who initially led Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP’s Romain Febvre
Gajser and Coldenhoff but before we even got to the end of the first lap
Gajser was able to make some quick passes to land himself in second place
Renaux though had a big crash on one of the tabletops on the opening lap and did not carry on with the race
The Frenchman was able to walk away injury-free and it was confirmed that he is feeling banged up and bruised but nothing more serious
Seewer was looking fast in the first two laps
as he set two consecutive fastest laps of the race as he opened a small margin of 1.599 seconds to Gajser
Evans was on a charge as he clocked the fastest lap of the race
a 1:50.808 as he began to close in on Febvre and Gajser
the top four were nicely bunched up together and it looked like we had an intense battle for the race win on our hands
Seewer was looking more and more comfortable in first as Gajser was not looking to take any risks after a big crash in time practice on Saturday
It looked like everyone began to settle into their pace
as not many passes were being made until Prado began to charge for Vlaanderen and ultimately passed the Yamaha rider for sixth
Seewer secured his fourth race win of the season ahead of Gajser
A 2-1 result gave Seewer his third GP victory of the season
while Gajser finished second and Coldenhoff made it back-to-back podiums in Sweden
Gajser holds 115 points lead over Seewer who remains second ahead of Prado who is third
Coldenhoff is just a further 18 points behind and has a chance to challenge the Spaniard for the bronze medal over the next three Grand Prix
And for some reason that went away in the qualifying race,” aaid Seewer
we don’t show everything in qualifying
I didn’t get the feeling that I wanted
especially on a track that is hard to pass
I felt a bit quicker than Maxime in race one but couldn’t find my way around
I’m trying to collect more of those first place trophies… and try not to break them too.”

"The low volumes in the Uddevalla plant do not justify continued production," Mr Jacoby said
“We will now look into when a next-generation Volvo convertible can be on the market and where it should be manufactured.”

and Michelin reached a final decision on the project’s investment on 7 February
Having secured all essential environmental and construction approvals
Enviro anticipates commencing construction in the first quarter of 2024
These agreements outline the scheduled deliveries of recovered oil and carbon black over contract periods ranging from five to ten years
with a total estimated value of approximately 180 million euros
The plant in Uddevalla will be the first full-scale recycling plant based on Enviro’s technology and the first set up by the joint venture, which Enviro formed with Antin in March 2023
The joint venture plans to achieve an annual recycling capacity of up to one million tonnes of end-of-life tyres by 2030 by building facilities across Europe
the joint venture will seek to accelerate the rollout of further sites
Enviro says the joint venture has already begun the procedure of establishing facilities in other European countries
with its NextGen fund reaching an agreement for these plants’ construction
Ownership of the land where the plant will be built will now pass to the joint venture
with the joint venture reimbursing Enviro for accrued costs
It will pay half this amount in cash and convert the rest to a stake in the joint venture
Enviro will announce the amount and the ownership stake at a later date
Enviro has an option to acquire an ownership share of approximately 30 per cent in the joint venture

The brothers accused of shooting two men and one woman in the western Swedish town of Uddevalla in March were convicted today
Friday the courts convicted five people in total in connect with the triple murder of March 7th which shocked residents in the small town of Uddevalla
Two men and one woman were found dead across the street from a hospital
The judgement claims the two brothers
"Part of the motive can be that the brothers thought some of the murder victims had infringed against a relative
It has to do with robbery," said the vice-lead prosecutor Per-Erik Rinsell
Investigators think that on the evening before the murders the brothers found out that their father had been robbed earlier in the year
The brothers suspected the two young men who were murdered had been involved in the robbery
who is now being prosecuted for abetting murder
The two brothers were taken to the crime scene on a light motorcycle
and either one of the brothers or both of them fired the weapons and shot each of the male victims four times and the woman once
The suspects had denied the accusations until last week when the younger brother decided to tell his version of the story to police
The younger brother claimed that he was not at the crime scene himself
The older brother's lawyer said his client still denies any charges
Around 500 people have been questioned since March
and a number of house raids have been carried out
police have also traced several other criminal activities to do with weapons and narcotics
were also charged because of the investigation
