Slovak company Atrios has announced plans for its first logistics park in Slovenia
is being funded by an Austrian-based private family company from Vienna
which focuses on investments in Austria and CEE
The 26,000 m2 Logspot Logatec warehouse facility will be strategically located 25 kilometers from the capital Ljubljana and 75 kilometers from the port of Koper
The park will offer 1,000 m2 of office space and a 26,000 m2 warehouse
a photovoltaic power plant will be installed on the roof
Construction of the logistics park commenced in May and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2025
The official opening is scheduled for the second quarter of next year
The construction project is being executed by the Czech construction group HSF System
Štajerski inženering is overseeing the planning and supervision of the construction
The majority of the warehouse space at Logspot Logatec has been leased by the logistics group Milsped to improve its service offerings to customers in the Adriatic and Southeastern European regions
Logspot Logatec will strive for BREEAM Very Good certification and feature a rooftop photovoltaic system
air-to-air heat pumps will be used for heating and cooling
The new warehouse in Logatec will be the inaugural building in the largest industrial park located outside of Ljubljana

Turkish conglomerate Peker Holding opened a factory on Thursday for producing autonomous vehicles or robots for cultivating agricultural land and a new management center for its subsidiary Pek Automotive in the southwestern town of Logatec in Slovenia

said at the opening ceremony for the plant that Slovenia is an ally of Türkiye
Tashan said the bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Slovenia reached $2.55 billion last year

highlighted the importance of the factory’s opening as it signals a bright future for Europe
said they are one of the leading players in the agricultural robot production field

Peker noted that the new factory in Slovenia will have an annual production capacity of 1,500 units
working with artificial intelligence (AI) that can operate all day all year-round
saving energy and reducing dependence on manual labor
He added that the mass-produced agricultural robots will be sold at lower prices than their counterparts
An investment of $126.8 million was made to develop the agricultural robot and prepare the factory for production
The robots to be produced at the factory will provide a significant reduction in the costs farmers pay in many parts of the world
The opening ceremony for the factory was also attended by Slovenian ministers
officials and delegations from Türkiye and Italy as well as managers and prominent figures from European banks and the European business world at large
