Slovenia – January 2025 – A record number of young people and leaders participated in the formation days for Salesian leaders held from 10 to 12 January in Veržej
The event was organised by the Salesian Youth Ministry Office from the Province of Slovenia (SLO)
More than 150 young people from nine youth centres and Salesian parishes completely filled the Salesian Marianum house
The participants learned about Don Bosco's educational religion
which are still indispensable constitutive elements of Salesian education
they became familiar with the content in a simple way
The content was tailored by the three speakers: family therapist Miha Ruparčič illustrated in a vivid way the secure attachment which affects all subsequent appropriate or inappropriate behaviours in children
It is therefore right that the leader also pays attention to these dynamics
Salesian Rafo Pinosa taught the participants the basics of rhetoric and tested them
Young Salesian Domen Kos outlined the five pillars of Salesian youth spirituality
there was no lack of spiritual nourishment in moments of prayer and adoration
The concluding Mass was celebrated by the Provincial
who accompanied the young people during the three days
In the homily he reminded them that they were created for great things and that the event in Veržej recalls the golden times of Don Bosco's oratory full of young people

Slovenia – October 2024 - The Salesian Days in the Sts Cyril and Methodius province of Slovenia (SLO)
are intended for communion and prayer among Salesians

This year they took place from 20 to 22 October in Veržej
with the main theme of psycho-physical health
About forty Salesians gathered to listen to psychotherapist Dr Uroš Perko on the care of mental health at a personal and community level
which raised many concrete questions about the relationships
coexistence and forms of dependence of those present
In the discussion groups led by the Provincial
and by the Provincial Delegates of the various Sectors
The third cycle was dedicated to the verification of physical health
led by the staff from the Ljutomer Health Promotion Centre
in addition to the professional approach and treatment
were able to discover deficiencies in the care of their own health

Slovenia – April 2024 - Members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) from local centres in the Salesian Province of Slovenia (SLO) gathered in Marijanišče in Veržej from 19 to 21 April for the annual meeting and spiritual renewal

Slovenia – 7 April  2017 – For the past few years the Salesian Institute of Marianum Veržej has been offering informal training in traditional and artistic crafts for school groups
a course of 180 hours was organized for the unemployed
It was supported by the Slovenia National Institute for Placement and the European Social Fund
They received extensive technical and theoretical training and a certificate for the course

about 80 teenagers and young people gathered in Veržej from 12 to 14 January to take part in the initial formation course to become Salesian animators

- and they learned about the Salesian activities of the various centers

Slovenia - July 2017 - From 30 June to 7 July
the Salesian "Marianum" house organized a week-long vacation for families and children who
cannot afford to go away for their summer holidays

Slovenia - May 2019 - The meeting of the Salesian Provincials of the Central and Northern Europe Region began on the afternoon of 7 May with the participation of 18 Provincials of the region's Salesian provinces
after the greetings and presentation of the participants

the Delegate for Salesian Youth Ministry along with his Office organized a formation and information meeting for all Salesians of the Slovenian Province
the main themes of the meeting were: culture of organization and accompaniment of the individual and accompanying young people with the Salesian charism
The forum also included fraternal meeting with moments of prayer for young people
exposition of info and agreements on provincial projects
and coordinating dates and contents of individual Salesian homes with and for the Salesian Family for the new academic year
