According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration
Russians attacked a resident of Antonivka with a drone,” the report says
As noted, a woman born in 1956 sustained explosive injuries
shrapnel wounds to her legs and chest as a result of the UAV's explosive drop
Kherson RMA informs that the victim was taken to a medical facility from Antonivka by police officers
As reported by Ukrinform, a farmer exploded on an explosive device in a field in the Kalynivka community of Kherson region

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram
‘At about 21:30, residents of Antonivka came under attack from an enemy drone. A 62-year-old man and a woman were injured as a result of the drone's explosive drop,’ the post reads
Both victims were hospitalised for medical care
the man was diagnosed with an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs
His wife suffered a concussion and a fracture of her shins
As reported, in the village of Tiahynka, Kherson region, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a car
Yurii Sobolevskyi, first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, said this in a Facebook post
He added that details would be provided in official comments from the Ukrainian Armed Forces
local media outlets and Telegram channels reported an explosion near the Antonivka Bridge
The Antonivka Bridge is the main bridge across the Dnipro River connecting Kherson with the rest of the region
He also noted that the transport links through the bridge would definitely be restored after the victory. The liberation of Kherson region from the Russian invaders continues, Butriy emphasized.
As reported, a video showing the Antonivka Bridge in Kherson region, struck by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of July 27, appeared on the Internet.
In recent days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have hit three key targets: the Antonivka Bridge, the Daryivka Bridge, and the road through the Kakhovska HPP dam.
The invaders tried to hastily repair the bridges in an effort to restore supply routes for ammunition and heavy equipment but the safety of using the bridges remains questionable. The Russians also build a pontoon crossing across the Inhulets River near the village of Daryivka.

russian forces are preparing an operation to cross the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, attempting to mirror Ukrainian tactics by establishing bridgeheads on the right bank, Ukrainian Colonel Vladyslav Selezniov stated in an interview with Antin Borkovskyi, host of the Studio West program.
Commanded by General Teplinsky, the russian Dnepr group includes over 120,000 troops, 2,000 assault forces, and 300 high-speed boats ready for action. Despite these preparations, Selezniov noted that previous attempts have been thwarted by Ukrainian artillery and drones, with russian troops often sabotaging their own boats to avoid certain death during crossings.
Selezniov emphasized that any successful russian landing would face swift destruction due to Ukraine's precise drone and artillery operations. He added that russian efforts to replicate Ukraine's success at bridgeheads near the Antonivka Bridge and Krynky have failed, with minimal chances of future success.
Although the russian strategy appears futile, Selezniov warned it poses ongoing challenges for Ukraine's Defense Forces defending Kherson.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has announced that it has regained control of Kherson
The city had been occupied for more than eight months
Russian servicemen who remain in Kherson have been called upon to surrender
with the Ukrainian side promising them safety and the possibility of an eventual exchange
Kherson residents took to the streets with Ukrainian flags and greeted the Ukrainian Armed Forces as they entered the city from its western outskirts
Following the retreat of the Russian military
propaganda posters with the words “Russia is here forever” were torn down in Kherson’s suburbs
as well as materiel” were transferred to the left bank of the Dnipro River
“As a result of effective management and coordinated actions of Russian units
not a single piece of military equipment and weaponry was left on the right bank
All Russian servicemen were transferred to the left bank of the Dnipro,” Konashenkov said
Despite the fact that the Russian Defense Ministry claims that not a single vehicle was left behind during the retreat (there are allegedly no casualties among personnel either), images and videos of AFU trophies in Kherson are being circulated on social networks – for example
On the night of November 11, as Russian troops were leaving Kherson, the Antonivka Road Bridge over the Dnipro river was blown up
The destruction is evident from photos and videos posted by Russian bloggers and Ukrainian media
The OSINTtechnical project has also reported that the Antonivka railway bridge
located 6 km away from the main road bridge
Maxar Technologies has published satellite photos of the bridge
which show that its structure has collapsed in several places
The railroad track bed has also been destroyed
A video depicting Russian soldiers walking across the barge bridge
located side-by-side to the Antonivka Road Bridge
Closer to the evening of November 11, the Russian propaganda publication Izvestia released a video of the Antonivka bridge bombing
The main grouping of Russian troops had left long before Sergey Shoigu's order and the subsequent detonation of the bridge. Russian troops were crossing the Dnipro river through the night, as can be seen on satellite images
Several ferries and barges were documented crossing the river at once
the Russian army’s offensive on Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih became impossible
as the Dnipro river became the line of combat contact on the southern section of the front line
The territory on both sides of the river is flat with excellent visibility
and the right bank is slightly higher than the left bank
which gives a strategic advantage to the AFU
The Mykolayiv region was almost completely liberated from the Russian military the day before, according to a report by MP Roman Kostenko, the secretary of Ukraine’s parliamentary committee on national defense. As of November 11, this report has been confirmed by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim
who noted that the Kinburn Spit still remained under the control of Russian troops
The withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson and the right bank of the Dnipro and Kherson opens up many opportunities for Ukraine
new strike zones for HIMARS MLRS missiles are emerging
The range of M31 ammunition for HIMARS is 85 km
will probably get to the section of the railroad at the entrance to the peninsula
Military expert and AFU reserve colonel Roman Svitan told The Insider that the Ukrainian army will now begin sweeping Kherson and rebuilding the city.“There will be sweeps
the Ministry of Emergency Situations will go in
the special services will go in to filter the city – the tasks will be identical to those that have already been practiced in the Kharkiv region
They’ll follow the same algorithm in the Kherson region – the sweep will happen at once and recovery and general filtration will last several weeks.”
Ukrainian troops will take positions on the left bank in the coming days
Meanwhile, Russian military equipment is moving en masse near the town of Oleshky, the WarMonitor project reported
Russia has also apparently begun preparations to defend Crimea
Workers from the Russian Avtoban holding company are digging trenches In the southeastern part of the Kherson region
in the village of Henicheska Horka (Henichesk Hill) near the border with Crimea
A relative of one of the workers said that the construction workers came on a business trip until November 20
the workers are promised to be paid 6,500 rubles (close to $105) per day
Footage published from the village shows Russian military equipment moving in
military expert Sergey Grabsky also noted that there is no need to pursue the enemy on the left bank at the current moment
Pro-Russian Telegram channels report that Russian troops today took Opytne and slightly advanced in Pervomaiske. Fighting continues for Vodyane. According to Boris Rozhin
an expert of the Center for Political and Military Journalism
the Russian offensive plan is quite transparent: take Pervomaiske and Vodyane and turn to Tonenke
the capture of which will draw the Orlivka-Avdiivka road within firing range
creating a direct threat of encirclement of the AFU grouping in Avdiivka
The AFU has attempted an offensive in the directions of Zaitseve and Otradivka near Bakhmut, writes the Telegram channel Rybar
Pro-Russian channels are also claiming that Russian troops have occupied Maiorsk near Horlivka

"Antonivka Railway Bridge. Someone smokes cigars," the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
Thick smoke rising over the bridge is seen on the published video.
As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again struck the Antonivka Bridge in Kherson region on the evening of August 30.
OSINTtechnical also reports that Antonivka Railway Bridge
situated six kilometers away from the main one
Readovka, a Russian propagandist publication, has released a video suggesting damage to the pontoon bridge as well
Earlier videos show Russian troops crossing the Dnipro from the right to the left bank on foot over the pontoon bridge
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots asserts there are no more Russian forces on the right bank
meaning that the core grouping had withdrawn long before Sergei Shoigu’s order and the subsequent bridge destruction
The blown-up bridge draws the line in the struggle for a foothold on the left bank of the Dnipro
when the Ukrainians disrupted supply routes by using HIMARS
the Russian forces can no longer launch an offensive toward Mykolaiv or Kryvyi Rih
with the Dnipro serving as the contact line on the south front
to the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
According to war analysts, the liberation of the right bank offers Ukrainians a new weapon engagement zone for HIMARS MLRSs: the Isthmus of Perekop in Crimea and a wide stretch of the steppe to the north of the peninsula
The Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and the hydraulic engineering structures of the North Crimean Canal are also in the engagement zone
because the dam controls the water level in the Dnipro and feeds water into the canal
it would place dozens of communities at risk of inundation
interprets the destruction of Antonivka Bridge as a seminal event
a milestone proving that Russian troops have withdrawn from the right bank of the Dnipro and Kherson
The AFU are also becoming well-positioned for successful river warfare if they manage to set up a secure base of operations outside Mykolaiv
The theater of war could unfold on both sides of the Kakhovka Dam
the US was reported to include 40 armored motor boats and 1,100 Phoenix Ghost drones in yet another military aid package

A bridge used by occupying Russian forces in Ukraine's embattled Kherson region has sustained heavy damage in a strike described as the "final chord" by a Ukrainian official
Kherson Regional Council member Serhiy Khlan suggested in a Facebook post on Tuesday that the strike on Antonovsky Bridge
could eliminate any chances of the Russian military using it for strategic purposes
has been used by Russia as a key transportation route for military equipment and supplies in the region
It seems to me that this is the final chord," Khlan wrote in the Facebook post
according to Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform
Eliminating Russia's use of the bridge as a supply line could be vital to the success of the Ukrainian counterattack that began this week in Kherson and other areas of southern Ukraine
Vladyslav Nazarov, spokesperson for Ukraine's Operational Command South (OCS), said that the Antonovsky Bridge was one of three bridges in Kherson that were targeted on Tuesday "to confirm their inoperable status," according to The Kyiv Independent
The other bridges targeted included a rail bridge located in nearby Antonivka and Kherson's Daryivskyi bridge
a combination rail and road bridge that Russian troops had been using to transport supplies over the Ingulets river
Russia had repaired the Antonovsky Bridge following previous Ukrainian attacks
Satellite images released on Monday showed the Russian army was constructing a pontoon crossing close to the heavily-damaged Antonovsky Bridge
The full extent of the damage caused by the latest attack on the bridge
and whether or not the bridge is still repairable
It is also unclear whether Tuesday's attack included a strike on the pontoon crossing
Marina Miron, a researcher at the Defence Studies Department of the King's College London, told Newsweek on August 23 that the construction of a pontoon bridge in Antonivka could ultimately benefit Russia by forcing Ukraine to use scare weapons to attack a crossing that is easily repairable
"Precisely because a pontoon bridge is much cheaper and easier to construct
it would not be very efficient to fire expensive missiles at it," Miron said
"It would not make sense to waste them on something that can be easily restored or rebuild..
for the Ukrainians it presents a challenge of efficiently using the available resources."
Ukrainian officials said on Tuesday that an estimated 159 Russian troops were killed overnight
with more than 220 missile and artillery strikes taking place amid the counteroffensive in southern Ukraine

Ukraine launched a counteroffensive that some military analysts have interpreted as the most decisive response to the Russian invasion since the beginning of the war
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Presidential Office have refrained from comment so far
The South Operative Command announced the beginning of the AFU’s offensive
but sources in Ukrainian security agencies argued that the announcement had been hasty and the counteroffensive had not in fact begun
who are normally forthcoming in their comments on combat activity
The first strikes were launched on the night of August 29 on Russian facilities in Kherson
including a munitions warehouse in a Ukrainian penal colony
with the addition of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Dam
Four communities on the Kherson front have been liberated; available data suggest the first line of Russian defense has been breached. At first, Russia denied the breach but then admitted that Ukrainian troops had begun offensive activities in the Kherson and the Mykolaiv regions
Judging by the reports of Russian and Ukrainian army representatives and military correspondents, the Ukrainian counteroffensive is unfolding in three directions. The first front is in the west of the Kherson Region, where CNN has reported the liberation of Pravdyne
The data of Ukraine Battle Map also suggest the Ukrainians have retaken Oleksandrivka
The operation began on the night of August 29 with a massive shelling of the Russian positions on the right bank of the Dnieper
One of Ukraine's objectives in the counteroffensive is to encircle a large group of Russian troops in the area
The information provided to The Insider's correspondent by his sources in the Ukrainian military further confirms CNN’s reports: AFU troops have started advancing along the line Kisomys – Nova Dmytrivka – Tomyna Balka
Russians are trying to regain their footing in the settlement of Blahodatne
leaving at least five dead and three times as many wounded
As the pro-Russian military correspondent Roman Saponkov reports
the Ukrainian Army launched an attack outside Davydiv Brid and liberated the community of Sukhyi Stavok
that “Russians respond to every [Ukrainian] shell with a dozen of theirs”
but separatists and fighters mobilized in the Donbas republics are fleeing from the battlefield
The second front is the direction of Mykolaiv
with resumed combat activities in the vicinity of Posad-Pokrovske and Luparevo in the west of Kherson Region
and the vicinity of Davydiv Brid and Vysokopillia in the north of Kherson Region
Russian troops will not be able to retreat with their weapons and vehicles
as Ukrainian military expert Oleh Zhdanov points out in conversation with The Insider
The third front of the offensive is the north of the Kherson Region
The AFU’s successes near Andriivka have been reported by the pro-Russian channels Rybar and Grey Zone
with the latter allegedly connected to the Wagner PMC
Battles near the Inhulets base of operations and near Snihurivka
as well as a direct offensive toward Kherson
are visible on NASA Firms satellite images of fires
reports (without specifying the source) that the AFU have started using HIMARS against infantry
and not only military facilities in the rear
such as munitions warehouses and command points
The offensive may have been facilitated by the AFU receiving an efficient tool for suppressing Russian air defense: AGM-88 HARM missiles for the MiG-29 aircraft
as Air Force colonel Viktor Alksnis remarked to The Insider
he doubts the compatibility of MiGs with American missiles:
The modernization included installing a new mission computer
Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a fire in an “abandoned facility” south of Sevastopol on August 29. OSINTtechnical, an anonymous OSINT analyst on Twitter, said it was a Russian radar unit
Cape Fiolent in Crimea holds at least one 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar system and a 48Ya6-K1 Podlet all-purpose mobile radar unit
most likely attached to the nearby S-400 air-defense missile battery
Even though many experts, including those interviewed by The Insider, interpret the Ukrainian counteroffensive as a major development, others tend to be more skeptical. Thus, the Russian military observer Ilya Kramnik does not believe in the AFU's offensive potential, as he argued on his Telegram channel
including when it comes to coordinating large armored formations
makes one doubt the feasibility of such plans in the absence of drastic changes across multiple aspects
from logistics to the matters of orchestrating large joint force groupings on the battlefield
offensive operations will continue to unfold in the usual format: a measured progression of battalion groups following the advancement of the artillery firing positions
the most far-sighted commanders began preparing for winter as early as in June
Now even the most careless ones have gotten down to it.”
the Russian Armed Forces are reporting progress in its “special operation”
publishing unrealistic figures of enemy losses
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense
the Russian troops have “smothered the Ukrainian offensive”
37 armored vehicles of miscellaneous types
and eight pickup trucks with large-caliber machine guns – all within 24 hours
Pro-Russian Telegram channels are also broadcasting videos of “destroyed Ukrainian military convoys”
although these videos only show individual losses
The UK Ministry of Defense said this in its latest intelligence update on the situation in Ukraine
Russia has only succeeded in making superficial repairs to the damaged Antonivsky road bridge which likely remains structurally undermined,” the report says
It is noted that the two main road bridges leading to the Russian-occupied territory on the west bank of the Dnipro in Kherson region “are now probably out of use for the purposes of substantial military resupply”
Russia has been using a pontoon ferry near the railway bridge as its main military resupply route
Even if Russia manages to make significant repairs to the bridges
Ground resupply for the several thousand Russian troops on the west bank is almost certainly reliant on just two pontoon ferry crossing points,” the report says
