At Hope & Glory Sportswear we provide three measurements for all our garments (see illustrations above)
Actual chest width: This is the the measurement across the front of the shirt from just underneath the armpit when laid flat
Actual chest size: This refers to the actual measurement around the garment just underneath the armpit itself when worn â not your chest size
Chest to fit size: This refers to the size of the shirt wearers chest
Measuring Your Ideal âActual Chest Widthâ.Find one of your existing t shirts or football shirts that know fits as you like and measure it from armpit to armpit
This is what we refer to as the âactual chest widthâ of our garments
How to Measure Your Chest. To measure your chest size
run a fabric tape measure under your arms and fit it around the fullest part of your chest
Itâs important to have the tape measure parallel to the ground
sagging or twisted which distorts the measurement.Take note of the measurement at the point where the tape crosses
Men.If you want your shirt to be a tight fit then you should select the actual garment chest size that would be 5cm (2âł) bigger than your chest size
If you want your shirt to be a loose fit then you should select the actual garment chest size that would be 10cm (4âł) bigger than your chest size
PRO-FIT Men.Our Pro-Fit shirts are designed to be a âslim fitâ garment
They are much slimmer fitting in all areas
Ladies. Our ladies shirts are all shaped for a âladies fitâ â this means they taper slightly around you mid section to give a comfortable fit around the chest
We advise you select the actual garment chest size that is 8cm (3âł) bigger than your chest size
All ladies differ â the fit will vary depending on your preference
Junior. We advise juniors select the actual garment chest size that is around 8-10cm(3-4âł) bigger than the childâs chest size for a comfortable fit

A defiant display from Andy Preece's Chorley side wasn't enough on Saturday afternoon as a clinical Scunthorpe United came out 4-2 winners at the Attis Arena
The Magpies got off to the worst possible start
falling behind early when Danny Whitehall pounced on a fortunate deflection off Mike Calveley to fire the hosts ahead from close range
Kole Hall scrambled the ball over the line at the back post following an Adam Blakeman corner
with both sides pressing aggressively and forcing turnovers
Whitehall grabbed his second of the afternoon
The Ironâs momentum continued shortly after as Callum Roberts extended the lead with a composed finish that left goalkeeper Matt Urwin no chance
Chorley came out with renewed intent in the second-half
But Scunthorpe delivered a hammer blow on the counter; former Chorley man Carlton Ubaezuonu produced a dazzling solo goal to make it 4-1
Kole Hall netted his second and his sideâs with 12 minutes remaining
giving the visitors hope and setting up a tense finale
Andy Butlerâs Scunthorpe side held firm under pressure
seeing out the win to book their place in the final against either Kidderminster Harriers or Chester
Bermuda footballer Kole Hall scored twice in Chorleyâs 4-2 defeat away to Scunthorpe in the Vanarama National League North semi-final yesterday [May 3]
Hall scored a first-half equaliser to make it 1-1
He also netted his sideâs second to make it 4-2 in the 78th minute
Hall scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for Chorley
who finished fifth in the table this season

Extended match highlights from DAZN from today's 4-2 win over Chorley
as the Iron progress to the final of the play-offs
It was home play-off action this afternoon for the Iron who welcomed quarter-final winners Chorley FC to the Attis Arena for what was predicted to be an intense clash on Scunthorpeâs home turf
To get to this semi-final stage Chorley defeated Kingâs Lynn Town in midweek thanks to a goal from defender Mark Ellis
this victory earned them a trip to a fresh Iron who came into the fixture on the back of a week of preparation
There was to be just one change made to the Ironâs side who defeated Hereford last weekend as manager Andy Butler opted to grant Danny Whitehall a starting role as he returned from a sickness bug that kept him out of last weekâs action
Whitehall replaced inform Irishman Carlton Ubaezuonu who dropped to the bench along with six other Scunthorpe substitutes as the usual limit was increased for the fixture due to competition rules
After a remarkable pre-match atmosphere that set the tone for proceedings the game was set underway with both teams looking nervy in the early exchanges
Despite the tension around the stadium throughout the early exchanges the home support wouldnât be made to wait long for the opening goal of the game when United flooded forward with serious attacking intent
When Cal Roberts and Alfie Beestin linked up down the right-flank the space would open up for Beestin to whip a floated cross towards the back post
the cross was dangerous and would bounce Infront of Chorley defender Adam Blakeman appearing to hit the full-backs hand
referee Dean Watson allowed play to continue which allowed Whitehall to get a touch on the loose ball
steering it past the Chorley goalkeeper and into the net for 1-0
Most had predicted that an early goal would be a decider in this fixture in the build-up
but this wasnât to be the case as within a matter of minutes the scores would be levelled up by the visitors
The Magpies are renowned for their set-piece ability and would prove it once again when their first one of the day resulted in the equaliser
it was a dangerous ball to the back post that found the goal scorer Kole Hall who nodded the ball beyond Ross Fitzsimons
Following the leveller the Iron would get back to basics and begin to control proceedings
After controlling the ball for some time possession would make its way from right to left as a direct switch of play was misjudged by Adam Henley and allowed Tyler Denton to run in behind the Chorley defence
From a wide-angle Denton would look to smash a volley on target that appeared to be soaring into the top corner until it landed in the side netting
much to scrambling goalkeeper Matt Urwinâs relief
This would act as a warning shot from United who would come forward again in clinical fashion with 22 minutes on the clock
One goal for the afternoon wouldnât be enough for Whitehall who would double his tally with a composed finish from inside the area
It was Roberts the provider as he somehow beat the Magpies offside trap before chopping inside to tee up the forward
and Whitehall was never in doubt to mark his return with a goal
With the score at 2-1 a third goal to give Butlerâs boys the cushion they deserved was to be crucial and the dream would soon become a reality when Beestinâs winding run from off the left-flank allowed him to drive into the penalty area
With his head raised to pick the perfect pass the versatile forward would spot the disguised run of Roberts in the area and when the ball eventually found him
Roberts would apply a fantastic finish by steering the ball beyond Urwin and into the bottom corner
This would be the final action of the first period and despite the two-goal advantage there was nerves around the stadium with the possibility of a play-off final with touching reach
To begin the second-half the Magpies goal was clear as day with Andy Preeceâs side flooding forward looking for a route back into the game
after George Horburyâs early chance flew wide of the target from the edge of the area the Iron did a perfect job of keeping Chorley out with a brilliant physical display
The game would remain without any major chances until the 67th minute
the next goal was to be massive for the outcome of the remainder of the game and it would be United who found it through substitute Carlton Ubaezuonu
After receiving the ball on the half-way line with his back to goal
Ubaezuonu turned his marker and set off on a surging run towards the Chorley penalty area
Once he'd made it inside his oppositions box he would chop the ball onto his stronger left-foot and produced a sensational strike into the bottom corner to strengthen Scunthorpeâs lead
Chorley were in desperate search of a goal to give them hope and after several attempts that failed to bring them joy
they would finally find a second in the scrappiest of fashions
After substitute Mo Tourayâs strike was well saved by Fitzsimons from almost point-blank range
a scramble would ensue with both teams desperate for two different outcomes
the Bermudan forward Hall would find himself with an inch of room and helped the ball home to reduce the deficit
With the lead reduced to just two goals Scunthorpe couldâve crumbled under the pressure
although they are a side with unquestionable character and went about reducing Chorley to minimal chances perfectly
Although the defending became desperate at times United would stand firm right up until the final whistle and would eventually be granted their passage to the play-off final after a special performance from a special Scunthorpe team
we are urging all supporters to travel to the Attis Arena and enter the stadium in plenty of time when we face Chorley on Saturday
There will be a larger than usual crowd at the Attis Arena
as we look for another bumper crowd on home soil. The turnstiles will be open from 1.30pm
We also entertainment outside the venue ahead of the game
which includes a DJ set and an external bar
with the urge for supporters to arrive at a turnstile earlier to ensure you get in prior to kick-off
although we endeavour to get all supporters into the ground as quickly and safely as possible
there could be some delays close to kick-off as the crowd begins to grow
We are advising early entry to the venue if possible
Scunthorpe United would like to remind supporters the importance of their conduct when we host Chorley on Saturday
Following an extensive investigation by the Football Association
the Iron was charged with misconduct for a breach of FA Rule E21 in respect of the match
It was alleged that Scunthorpe United failed to ensure that spectators and/or its supporters (and anyone purporting to be its supporters or followers) conduct themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending the match
it was alleged that Iron supporters behaved in a way which is improper
threatening and/or provocative contrary to FA Rules E21.1; and/or encroach on to the pitch or commit any form of pitch incursion
The club admitted the charge and provided a detailed statement in mitigation
Having considered the clubâs extensive submission
the FA imposed a fine of ÂŁ2,000 and warned the club over its future conduct
that it is an offence to enter the field of play
and the use of pyrotechnics and the throwing of objects can all result in the club being charged
and can also cause serious injury to spectators around you
Co-owner and chair Michelle Harness said: "From the Board
I would like to thank all supporters who have
conducted themselves impeccably at the Attis Arena
The messages we as a club have put out have resonated with you all
and the lack of misconduct here has been commendable to not only you
but everyone working behind the scenes to identify individuals who have previously caused harm
âWhile we are massively looking forward to play-off semi-final encounter against Chorley
looking forward to seeing the Attis Arena almost full in the home end
and anticipating a brilliant atmosphere and occasion once more
we are very mindful that one piece of misconduct can cause us hours and hours of resources to provide our observations
evidence and defence to prevent or mitigate the charges to be imposed on the club - and ultimately cost us money too following the charge which was brandished by the Football Association
an individual received a football banning order as a result of his actions during a fixture - don't let it be you this season."
Attacking midfielder Alfie Beestin looks ahead to the Iron's massive semi-final encounter with Chorley FC
After Chorley's narrow 1-0 win over Kingâs Lynn Town and Chesterâs extra-time victory against Buxton
Letâs take a look at the first of the semi-finals - and another huge crowd is expected
Scunthorpe United will be thrilled they have home advantage - because their away form is what saw them miss out on the title
on 90 points in comparison to Brackley Townâs 92
they know how important it is to be in front of their fans
and have proven to be a tough nut to crack
Thereâs been nothing to separate them in the league this season
Any team with Mark Ellis at both ends are not there to make up the numbers
Scunthorpe United:Callum Roberts: 20Danny Whitehall: 14Alfie Beestin: 8
Chorley:Mark Ellis: 12Mike Calveley: 11Kole Hall: 10Tom Carr: 10
Head to head: 24/08/24: Chorley 1-1 Scunthorpe United18/01/25: Scunthorpe United 2-2 Chorley
Scunthorpe United: âWe've now got two games to get into the National League with home advantage
âChorley are a very good team going forward
excellent at set pieces so that's one aspect of their game
âBut the message to the players is just focus on ourselves again.â
Chorley: âWe've got into that mentality of when the pressure comes
âWe know that if you don't finish in those first three spots you're going to have a really tough away game
and it doesn't get any tougher in our league
a great stadium and the fans make it electricâ

Some demolitions will clear the way for a new HQ building
A long-held ambition to relocate Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service’s headquarters from Fulwood is part of plans to overhaul the leadership and development centre at Euxton
Plans for the redevelopment of the facility are now lodged with Chorley Council in a project where the service is working with Equilibrium Architects
Around 200 staff will be based at the site
with around 50 trainees per day also using the facilities
The professional team includes planner Plan A
As Equilibrium explains in its design & access statement
the outline application covers plans for new buildings and demolition of some existing buildings as the overall site is reorganised
where previous development proposals were mainly restricted to the central part of the site
buildings on site total around 84,000 sq ft
Around 26,000 sq ft of that total is in line to come down
There will be 109,000 sq ft of new development
The LDC site has been used to train firefighters since 1946
after being acquired from the American air force
the site is still largely set out as in the 1940s
with most development since occurring on an ad hoc basis
in 2011 an over-arching masterplan was introduced
also taking into consideration its Green Belt location
The most recent planning applications came in 2022
with a fleet garage extension and a breathing apparatus school
Although a new HQ building was accounted for in the 2011 masterplan
The demolition of Lancaster House will open up the centre of the site
enabling the construction of a new service HQ building
the site will be split into three zones: the eastern âdirtyâ zone
where dirt/smoke-generating activities and training props will be based; the âsemi cleanâ central area â where Lancaster House is
along with a pond and a drill area; and the âcleanâ western one
Training props to ne included in the eastern zone include terraced housing and a multi-storey apartment block
Although the whole of the site is within the Green Belt
most of the land within the boundary is classed as âpreviously developedâ under which various types of development are supported in Chorleyâs Local Plan
More detailed plans will follow in a reserved matters application
The plans as set out in the outline application can be viewed on Chorleyâs planning portal with the reference 25/00357/OUTMAJ

CHORLEY came out on top in the Vanarama National League North playoff eliminator on Tuesday evening
Mark Ellisâs 84th goal the difference between the two sides on the night
but once the Magpies settled into the match
Following an outswinging cross from Adam Blakeman
Mark Ellis rose above the rest and saw his header cleared off the line by Josh Hmami just ten minutes into the game
the ball fall kindly to Blakeman on the edge of the box who whipped it low and around the Linnets players
but Paul Jones did well to make a fine stop
which Scott Wilson met and flicked onto the back post
with Ellis a whisker away from putting the ball in the back of the net
a looping ball saw Ellis attempt a high flick header
Jones eventually gathered after dropping it on the first attempt
That would be the final chance of the half for the Magpies
Chorley came out strong in the opening stages
the visitors came close after a goalmouth scramble saw King's Lynn hit the post through Hmami from close range
Chorley replied with a perfectly weighted pass by Courtney Senior
which sent Tom Carr in one-on-one with Jones
but the goalkeeper came out on top this time
a moment of magic; Blakeman playing a smart ball from a free-kick to Kole Hall
but Mark Ellis was there at the far-post to tap home the rebound
but Chorley held firm to earn their place in the semi-finals away at Scunthorpe United on Saturday

3pm kick-off for a place in the Vanarama National League North play-off final
Ticket details will be confirmed in due course once all relevant parties have liaised with each other
Three burglars who targeted homes across Chorley have been jailed for a total of 10 years
Cameron Smith and Connor Evans entered gardens and porch areas of properties across Coppull and Charnock Richard on Sunday 15th December
Following enquiries by the South Residential Burglary team
the three men were arrested and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service
attempted theft of a motor vehicle and going equipped for theft
After pleading guilty to the offences at an earlier court hearing
Chorley was sentenced to 6 years in prison
Andrew Smith          Cameron Smith          Connor Evans
working with architect JTP and planner Newmark
the Bengal Street depot will accommodate 62 new homes
landscaped gardens and a buffer to the A6 and railway
Chorleyâs professional team also includes Stantec on fire
and landscape architect The Environment Partnership
This is one of three schemes included in Chorleyâs successful ÂŁ20m Levelling Up Fund bid
along with a new civic square in front of the town hall and refurbishment of council offices
The 1.7-acre Bengal Street site lies around 400m north of Chorley town centre
it is bound by Stump Lane to the south and a decommissioned gasholder to the north
the apartment building will be positioned parallel to the A6
The townhouses will be in two short rows behind that
with communal garden space in the middle along with parking
Newmark further points out that Chorley cannot at present demonstrate a five-year housing supply
The plans are now validated on Chorleyâs planning portal and can be viewed with the reference 25/00330/CB3MAJ
I hope they decontaminate that land properly first
This will be the start of the downfall of Chorley
please don’t become like every other town
Another nail in Chorley’s coffin !!!!
Chorley is in tremendous debt still the roads are an embarassment resembling a warzone
and realistically cant and shouldnt build more houses unless as in charnock richard last year in which it is rumoured someone on the council recieved a ‘handshake’ in order that a certain develoment went ahead
Good use of public money to spend a fortune on consultants
shame a good garage to be replaced with more junk
Chorley and King's Lynn Town are up first in the Eliminator stage with a place in Saturday's semi-final with Scunthorpe United up for grabs
It's been a long old season in the National League North and we have just five games left
Let's take a look at what is coming up tonight as the Magpies meet the Linnets
Neither of these sides have spent all that much time outside of the top seven in truth this season with both at one point flirting with the idea of a title charge
It's been a decent last couple of months for King's Lynn who - aside from two defeats - have looked like they mean business
Chorley are good at home and score goals too - only Kidderminster Harriers have more than them this season which is no small part down to the surprise goalscoring prowess of defender Mark Ellis who has 12 to his name
Chorley:Mark Ellis: 12Mike Calveley: 11Tom Carr: 10Kole Hall: 10King's Lynn Town: Johnny Margetts: 10Gold Omotayo: 10Ross Crane: 6
Chorley:âYou'd probably think there's a bit of pressure on us
but it's going to be tough and we look forward to the challenge."
King's Lynn Town:âIts gonna be incredibly tough
but we have a chance - in isolated games we can beat anybody
they're always in the play-offs and they know what it takes
They've got lots of experience and lots of time together as a group
âHome advantage is massive in the play-offs
especially when you have good home form which Chorley have.â
âIt's never an easy place to go and we know the odds are stacked against us so we've just got to prepare the best we can and go up there and look to put in a big performance.â
"I do think we're underdogs yeah massively but I like being the underdog."
A frenetic contest on the road saw the Seals defeated at Victory Park
The afternoon started in brilliant fashion for Chester when a Tom Peers brace from close-range had earned a two-goal lead
Chorley fought back though and claimed all three points courtesy of goals from Tom Carr
Calum McIntyreâs men took advantage of a fast start in Lancashire when Peers finished from close-range in the 13th minute to give the Yellows a crucial lead
Taelor OâKane turned in midfield before he threaded a wonderful ball through to Dan Turner who played a low cross into the six-yard box and Peers finished with composure
The Seals had flown out of the traps at Victory Park and one became two just eight minutes later
as our number seven repeated his feat from last January and netted two first-half strikes
Debutant Tom Leak laid an accurate cross into the path of Peers who flicked the ball past Matt Urwin to claim his 16th goal of the season
It was a frenetic contest under the beaming sun
as both sides threw bodies forward in front of a lively
The hosts pulled one back inside the opening half hour in controversial fashion as Tom Carr bundled home after Jimmy Storer had the ball dislodged from his hands following Mark Ellisâ powerful header
Andy Preeceâs men drew themselves level just eight minutes later when George Horbury curled a low finish that beat Storer and rolled into the bottom corner
Chorleyâs positive momentum continued after the break
as the Magpies continued to put pressure on the Sealsâ defence with long balls that Kole Hall looked to capitalise on
The visitors pushed back and re-gained a foothold around the hour mark
as Declan Weeks started to create from midfield
Harrison Burke had our first opportunity of the half but he couldnât get a sweet connection after an inviting Weeks delivery
Nathan Woodthorpe then tried his luck with a speculative effort from range that sailed comfortably over the crossbar and into the Chester faithful
Ellis almost caused danger from set pieces yet again as the clock ticked over into the final 15 minutes as he sent another powerful header towards goal but it landed safely on the roof of the net
The 36-year-old did get his name on the scoresheet though
when he dived to head past Storer in the 81st minute from a well-delivered Adam Blakeman free-kick
Calum McIntyreâs side pushed forward late on to try and equalise but the hosts held on to claim three crucial points
The Seals are back in action on Tuesday night as Warrington Town travel to the Deva Stadium
are a community benefit society operating under the name of Chester Football Club
and are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
The club is fan owned and does not have any major shareholders
FIVE star Chorley were ruthless in breezing past Rushall Olympic at Dales Lane on Saturday afternoon to secure their all-important playoff place

the Magpies responded well having gone behind

and an absolute screamer off the bar and in it was
Chorley went into the break a goal to the good but still had plenty of work to do
The Magpies came out flying after the restart
A Blakeman free-kick was delivered to the back post
who took an unbelievable touch before hitting it on the volley into the top corner
It was a truly world-class finish by the Bermudan international
Tom Carr then made it four with an equally impressive finish; controlling it on his chest before expertly striking on the volley
There were just thirteen minutes left to play
and the number ten headed home to make it five
The Magpies now have a playoff eliminator home tie to look forward to against Kingâs Lynn Town on Tuesday night

Radcliffe attempted to respond early in the second half
Senior grabbed his first goal in Black and White on 54 minutes
converting a brilliant cross from Hall to make it 3â0
Carr added his second with a stunning solo run
beating two defenders before calmly slotting past Hewelt into the far corner
The emphatic performance was capped off in the final minute when Mark Ellis was left unmarked in the six-yard box to head home a fifth
sealing an unforgettable afternoon and lifting Chorley to sixth place in the Vanarama National League North

Chorley responded with Mark Ellis' header from a deep corner being headed off the line by Josh Hmami as the game approached the 10-minute mark

Chorley broke straight up the other end and Lynn goalkeeper Paul Jones pulled off a brilliant save with his legs to deny Tom Carr
The deadlock was broken six minutes from time

Lewis Coyle’s drilled effort almost snuck into the bottom corner of the goal
but Matt Urwin’s strong palm denied the City wide man
Corie Andrews opted for the unselfish option of passing after Josh Parker played him through on goal
but before Parker could prod a shot into the net it was deflected behind for a corner
Chorley grew into the first-half and the Guyana international shot-stopper got down well to palm Courtney Senior’s shot behind for a corner
the Hoops were left wondering how they didn’t go into the interval ahead
Andrews was set through on goal and unselfishly squared the ball to Parker but after a cruel bobble disrupted the trajectory of the goal
The second-half was pretty much the same story
still City couldn’t find a breakthrough
Zac McEachran was miraculously denied by a flying challenge from the host’s Moore
The tricky midfielder wiggled through and found the space for a shot inside the box but Moore defiantly flung himself at the shot to block
The best chance of the entire match came twenty minutes from time
Zac McEachran’s excellent intuitive pass fed Parker through on goal
Parker couldn’t find the target as the ‘keeper saved
and two resolute defences stole what was a well-contested match
City huffed & puffed but despite their good passages of play on a bobbly pitch
they couldn’t find a way through in the final third
Chorley almost stole all three points with the last kick of the game
In what would have been a cruel twist of fate
Mike Calveley caught Craig Hewitt’s cut-back on the edge of the area
it was an impressive point on the road against a team in the thick of the play-off hunt
Ross Jenkins and the hardy City fans in attendance will probably be wondering how it wasn’t all three

A host of improvements to boost sustainable travel and increase connectivity by rail to Manchester and Preston and elsewhere in the region could be in the pipeline for five train stations in and around Chorley
They could come into force in future years at train stations including Adlington
This is because over the next three months the County Council will analyse peopleâs travel patterns
current and future levels of demand for rail and ways of improving connectivity to sustainably meet the needs of the local economy
Potential improvements could include extending car parks at the stations
increasing park and bike facilities and building more cycle pathways
This means train passengers could see bigger car parks at the stations
more bike hubs and secure cycle parking if feasible
in future and if funding becomes available
The potential measures will be considered as part of a study being commissioned by Lancashire County Council and Chorley Council
with support from a range of stakeholders from across the rail industry
Itâs also anticipated that this piece of work could help shape the county councilâs wider consultation on its Local Transport Plan this summer
cabinet member for Economic Development and Growth
who is also the County Council's lead for the Local Transport Plan
âHaving a transport network which is easy to access and ensures people can get to where they want to go is very important to us as a council
âWe also want to make sure these routes are sustainable for our future
âAs one of Lancashire's newest and busiest rail stations
Buckshaw Parkway is a great example of how modern and well-planned infrastructure allows more people to access the network and support sustainable development
We want to support all modes of travel and encourage those who can leave their car at home and use public transport
however for those who opt to drive and park
we want to enable that in a safe and sustainable manner
âWe are looking at similar opportunities across the whole network as we know it is a key way to unlock growth and improve accessibility for people in Lancashire.â
âWeâre pleased to be working with partners so that studies can be carried out to help inform future plans
which could lead to potential future improvements to facilities at some railways stations in the borough
as well as improved connectivity and sustainability
âWe need to ensure that any future changes work for Chorley residents and those who visit the borough
so it becomes a convenient way to travel to encourage more sustainable travel for the future.â
The Lancashire Economic Growth & Development Investment Fund (LEGDIF) is a strategic initiative led by Lancashire County Council aimed at fostering economic growth and development within Lancashire
By merging the remaining funds from the Lancashire Economic Recovery & Growth Fund (LERG) and the Lancashire Levelling Up Investment Fund (LLUIF)
LEGDIF builds on this success and seeks to support key sectors
including emerging opportunities like cybersecurity
the fund aims to allocate remaining resources effectively and continue to drive economic growth and regeneration

James Donaldson Timber has taken possession of a 110,000 sq ft facility at Botany Bay Business Park
more than doubling its local production capacity
JDT said that the factoryâs size allows for a number of fully integrated
which will boost productivity and create a better working environment for its team
The firm agreed terms on the new-build facility within FI Real Estate Management’s ÂŁ220m Botany Bay scheme, close to Junction 8 of the M61, in April last year
A bespoke fit-out programme was then initiated
Situated two miles from JDTâs existing Chorley site
the location was chosen to integrate with established routes and operational processes
while also minimising disruption for the long-serving skilled workforce
The fully-enclosed facility has scope for 24-hour operations if required
a division of Donaldson Group subsidiary Nu-Style Products
will use 10,000 sq ft of the facility for storage and distribution purposes
Perform Panel has more than 35 years of heritage manufacturing a range of decorative wet wall laminated panels as well as floor
Work is continuing uninterrupted throughout the transition between the sites
with the new factory expected to be fully operational by autumn 2025
which has been operating from Fife for 165 years and now includes 16 group businesses across the timber and building products market
said: âOpening the Chorley branch was our first venture into England back in 2008
and itâs been a hugely successful move for us
It significantly changed our product offering
expanding beyond timber for the first time
and allowed us to better service our clients north and south of the border
It was becoming impractical and inefficient and was no longer suitable for our future growth plans
The new site is purpose built as a manufacturing unit with more scope to develop our offering â and it provides a much-improved working environment too
bringing benefits for our customers and our colleagues.â
said: âThis is an extremely exciting move for JDT and also for us as a Group
more than doubling the capacity for JDT in England and bringing benefits for Nu Style too
âThe MDF mouldings market continues to grow at pace and will inevitably increase further once we see the development of much-needed housing across the UK
âJDT is the original part of the Donaldson Group
so weâre particularly proud to see such a positive evolution of this business as we enter our 165th year.â

On their final home game of the FA WNL Division One North campaign
Leeds United Women put in an impressive display to power past Chorley Women 4-1
a first in club colours for defender Shauna Legge and a Goal of the Season contender from Amy Woodruff made it back-to-back victories for the Whites
Simon Woodâs side began on the front foot in Garforth when Legge drove forward and found Drew Greene on the edge of the area with an incisive pass
The forward twisted one way and then another
before forcing a good save from Mollie Finch in the Chorley goal with a left-footed strike
The Whites would reap the rewards of their bright start just moments later
when great tenacity from midfielder Smith saw her profit on a mistake from Finch and bundle home an early opener
One almost became two in quick succession when Jess Rousseau had the ball in the back of the net
only for the assistantâs flag to be raised on the far side
The striker initially played Drew Greene through with an inventive chip down the right flank
before the winger raced to the edge of the area
cutting it back for the forward who found the back of the net
only to be adjudged to have been in an offside position
Drew Greene was enjoying the freedom of the right-hand side and again caused issues for the away side
crossing dangerously with Woodruff well placed yards from goal but
Keen to establish a footing in what had been one-way traffic
Safron Newhouse charged into the area for Chorley and looked to find the bottom corner
though a vital challenge from Ellie Dobson deflected the ball kindly into Carrie Simpsonâs path who did well to react
The Whites had dominated the first half however and again threatened a second when Rousseau intercepted a loose clearance on the edge of the oppositionâs penalty area
threading a pass through for Woodruff who stung the palms of the busy Finch with a rasping drive
Approaching the break and Leeds continued to hunt for a second; a dangerous Ellie White corner almost cannoned off a red shirt and into the top corner
deflecting agonisingly wide of the upright
The pressure finally told and a White delivery was again crucial for the hosts
The creative midfielder whipped in a superb set piece from deep which somehow evaded everyone inside the area and struck the foot of the post
Legge was on hand from point blank range to convert the rebound
HALF TIME: Leeds United Women 2-0 Chorley Women
Woodâs side emerged for the second half unchanged
as remained the momentum with Leeds deservedly extending their lead further just seven minutes after the break
Excellent tenacity from Drew Greene and Alice Hughes allowed the Whites to win back possession on the halfway line
Smith then picked out the run of Rousseau down the right who returned the favour in the middle
allowing the midfielder to fire beyond Finch and into the back of the net
Chorley responded moments before the hour mark when Faye Stanhope bundled home Newhouseâs cross at the back post
despite the best efforts of the retreating Drew Greene on the line
United almost restored their three-goal cushion immediately when a marauding run from skipper Legge saw the defender find space inside the area
her dangerous delivery was smothered by a red shirt before White
also had an effort charged down by a visiting defender
A first change then came from the hostsâ dugout with Sarah Danby replacing the hardworking Rousseau in an alteration to the system
with White moved into a more advanced attacking role
The Whites pressed on and duly grabbed a fourth and in style
unleashed a thunderbolt that arrowed into the top corner from distance
Further changes followed with Sian Gibrill-Keating replacing White
before Paige Williams made her long-awaited return from injury
Woodâs side saw the game out professionally in their final encounter on home soil this campaign
in front of a bumper crowd at the Bannister Prentice Stadium
FULL TIME: Leeds United Women 4-1 Chorley Women

A stunning first-half goal from Connor Kirby saw Buxton through to claim all three points at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium to frustrate the Magpies on Good Friday
Chorley looked to settle into proceedings early and play on the front-foot
the hosts took the lead with just 19 minutes played
Connor Kirbyâs curling effort from the edge of the box
Chorley looked to reply quickly following a cross into the box
which saw Mike Calveley leap well to meet it but his header was comfortably saved by True Grant
there was little action to report on and the Magpies went into the break a goal behind
Warren Clarke delivered a fine ball across that found its way through to Adam Henley
had a golden opportunity to double their lead just ten minutes later after a ball across from Luke Brennan was met by Johnny Johnston
Chorley were left frustrated in their efforts to level the game and left Derbyshire empty-handed
