China Success Finance Group is venturing into digital finance by investing in Coin Cove, backing this move with a $4 million exchangeable bond
China Success Finance Group subscribed to a $4 million bond issued by Rakesh Rajagopal
This bond stands out with a hefty 16% coupon rate and a three-year term
and it holds the potential to convert into 1% of Coin Cove's shares
With Coin Cove largely controlled by Rajagopal
China Success plans to raise $1 million by placing up to 77 million new shares at HK$0.7 each
The rest is covered by issuing over 33 million shares at the same price to Rajagopal
equivalent to about 5.71% of China Success’s expanded share base
This maneuver not only diversifies China Success's portfolio but also enhances its footing in financial technology
For markets: Embracing innovation amid tradition
China Success’s endeavor reflects a broader market trend of traditional finance companies reaching into the fintech domain. As these players diversify, potential growth could spell opportunity, but investors should scrutinize underlying fundamentals in these evolving sectors.
The bigger picture: Financial bridges to the future.
This investment illustrates how companies are blending conventional and digital finance to capture growth, particularly in emerging markets like China. Global economic shifts toward technology integration present both challenges and investment prospects, highlighting the necessity for adaptability in strategic planning.

Andy Gaunt will lead Tasmanian distillery Sullivans Cove in the newly created role of CEO
The distillery was previously led by managing director Adam Sable, whose company purchased the business in 2016
Sable will stay in his role and support Gaunt in leadership
The distillery unveiled a renovated facility in Hobart at the end 2024
when it was also celebrated its 30th anniversary
The refurbishment represented a AU$14 million (US$8.9m) investment and doubled the distillery’s production capabilities
Gaunt most recently served as managing director for Fever-Tree ANZ and Asia
where he’s credited with expanding the brand’s market presence
He previously worked on Diageo’s luxury whisky and single malt portfolios
He said: “I am honoured to have the opportunity to join the incredible team and business that is Sullivans Cove
“Sullivans Cove is Australia’s most decorated whisky brand and arguably the brand that brought the quality of Australian distilling to the world’s attention
and I am excited to be part of the next phase of the brand’s life as we look to unleash the full potential of Sullivans Cove following the recent investment in the refurbishment of the distillery and visitor experience
which coincided with the recent 30th anniversary celebrations.”
Gaunt and Sable will work alongside distillery manager Heather Tillott
She was appointed to the role in 2016 following a career in winemaking
Sable added: “Andy is well placed to lead Sullivans Cove through its exciting next phase
in addition to his skill set and experience
he embodies the Sullivans Cove ethos and shared values.”

With temperatures set to rise in Kent, a beach day might be the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of true 'seaside weather'
Why not pretend you're somewhere exotic with a visit to this tiny and secluded sandy cove
One visitor from the States described it as feeling "carried away to Thailand" on seeing the tantalising golden sand and blue sea of Kingsgate Bay
That might seem a little far-fetched to some
but it would be hard to beat the beauty of this bay
with its chalk cliffs curving around it and nature's own art
the archway in the chalk which is the star of photographs and paintings
It still manages to be something of a "local secret" according to one resident of Broadstairs
and is quieter than its neighbouring beaches
One reason might you can only get down there by a set of steep steps
and there are no facilities such as toilets or a kiosk
But the upside is you won't be fighting people for a patch of sand
visitors say it is around a 30-minute walk
The Environment Agency states the water quality of nearby Broadstairs and Joss Bay's
close to Kingsgate Bay in opposite directions
Testing for 2025 starts on May 1 and runs until September
One person said this about the bay on Tripadvisor: "Picturesque and safe
"There's a beautiful and much photographed natural chalk arch
They also have a kids' playground and nearby
You know that feeling when you are just carried away to Thailand or somewhere like a proper exotic holiday
that’s how I felt arriving at Kingsgate bay
Botany Bay is nice too but too busy."
A glowing review from Trevor Edwards of Broadstairs
who said: "In a resort offering an array of beautiful bays
this sandy bay is never overcrowded and offers safe bathing."
"It is overlooked by the majestic Broadstairs Castle and even has its own family pub
and the thing which truly sets it apart is the ancient and unique chalk arch
the subject of thousands of photographs and paintings."
There is plenty of opportunity for rock pooling
There are no toilets and no dedicated parking
you will have to walk along the road to reach Kingsgate Bay
you and park at the Captain Digby Pub for £10 a day
It's a great excuse to stop there for refreshments and there's a terrace overlooking the bay and castle
It has four out of five stars on Tripadvsior
It has a children's indoor and outdoor areas
There's also a separate cliff top restaurant
One recent review reads: "Absolutely lovely
Meals are great with the option of starters and dessert
There is a great choice of meals and several choices of the day which are worth looking at
Another recent one said: "We never booked
Dogs are allowed on Kingsgate Bay all year round

DOC Coromandel Senior Ranger Matt Flynn says the conifers are invasive weeds that threaten to permanently alter the unique landscapes only found in New Zealand
Conifers were introduced to New Zealand in the 1880s
Since then they have spread across the country from forests
Matt says there are five large wilding conifers dotted across Mautohe Cathedral Cove to be removed
and if left unchecked they are likely to spread the invasive species further across the reserve
“Removing the wilding conifers supports our weed management and biodiversity restoration goals – enabling native flora and fauna to regenerate at Mautohe Cathedral Cove,” he says
Contract arborists will be conducting the work
which will focus on areas above the rock archway and near the beach
The closure of the track is to ensure public safety
and visitors should stay out of the reserve while the arborists carry out their work
People are discouraged from landing on the beach when the conifer removal is underway
and any visitors will be guided by contractors to a safe area away from the worksite
The walking track is scheduled to reopen on Saturday
pollution and climate change are putting immense pressure on our ecosystems
We have proven in many parts of the country that when we remove or manage the threats
restore habitats or modify how we use or interact with nature
Tracks to Mautohe Cathedral Cove were closed in February 2023 due to extensive damage caused by Cyclone Garbrielle
DOC repaired the tracks through the second half of 2024
and they reopened to visitors in December 2024

Glasgow-based Cameron Webster Architects has completed Rock Cove, a striking new house on the rocky promontory of the Rosneath Peninsula in Argyll. Designed for a private client, the 250-square-metre home perches above the sea, making the most of its wild, coastal surroundings.
The house is defined by a dramatic cantilever which projects over the craggy shoreline below. Anchored by two steel V-shaped supports, this bold structural gesture is complemented by a linear composition that takes full advantage of the panoramic sea views. To the rear, a more subdued facade shelters four bedrooms, while the expansive front elevation—characterised by floor-to-ceiling glazing—houses an open-plan living area that blurs the boundary between inside and out.
Set on a narrow plot of decommissioned MOD land, Rock Cove responds sensitively to the constraints of its site. At its narrowest, the house measures just eight metres wide, while careful landscaping introduces a native coastal garden, minimising the ecological impact of the build.
The house is divided into two contrasting zones: a timber-framed and clad section accommodates the more private, enclosed bedrooms, while the steel-framed, extensively glazed living area hovers over the rocks. The idea at play here is to maximise living space while providing flexibility and accessibility, catering to the client’s future needs as they approach retirement.
Inside, an open-plan living area offers uninterrupted views of the Clyde estuary. Decking beneath the cantilever enhances the sense of immersion in the landscape, while large glazing units frame ever-changing light, weather, and wildlife.
A linear rooflight runs along the house’s corridor, flooding the transition space between the entrance, bedrooms, and living areas with natural light. Sapele timber, used extensively for ceilings, adds a maritime character to the interiors, being a nod to the nautical history of the site, with this approach extending to an exterior soffit.
The house was recently announced as winner of the Supreme Award at the Glasgow Institute Of Architects Awards. “Rock Cove isn’t just about the views,” said the client. “It’s an all-encompassing sensory experience, where you can smell the salt air, hear the wind and waves breaking below, and see the constantly changing reflections on the water. It’s a perfect platform to watch the sea life coming and going.”

Ryan McGowan and Tete Yengi scored the goals as Championship Livingston eased past third-tier Cove Rangers to secure a Scottish Cup quarter-final spot.
McGowan was in the right place in the six-yard box to turn in Reece McAlear's free-kick - his first of the season.
Another Adelaide-born player added the other two, as subsitute Yengi twice found the same bottom right corner to take his tally for the season to six.
Paul Hartley's Cove were trying to make history by reaching the last eight of the competition for the first time.
The visitors will look back on good saves by Jerome Prior from Findlay Marshall for spoiling that dream, and a header by Will Gillingham which drifted narrowly wide.
Cove's 11-goal striker Mitch Megginson also hit the outside of a post with a quickly taken effort from 20 yards.
There was no shortage of Scottish Cup-winning experience across the two sides.
Livi striker Stevie May lifted the trophy twice with St Johnstone and the centre-back pairing of McGowan and Danny Wilson were successful with Hearts and Rangers respectively.
As for Cove, manager Hartley was a Scottish Cup winner with Hearts and Celtic as a player, while captain Fraser Fyvie tasted glory with Hibernian, three years after lifting the FA Cup with Wigan Athletic.
Fyvie had one of the League 1 side's other good chances, shooting straight at Prior following a neatly worked corner kick routine.
The Frenchman's opposite number Nick Suman did a great job of keeping Cove in the tie when he dived high to his right to repel Dan Finlayson's bullet header.
But Suman could do nothing about Yengi's deadly strikes, one teed up by Danny Wilson's header and the other set up by Lewis Smith.
Livingston manager David Martindale: "Three goals and a clean sheet - I think that's a wee bit harsh on Cove who had a couple of chances themselves.
"I think we deserve to be in the next round but 3-0 maybe flatters us.
"We've had a difficult eight days but I thought the lads showed great energy levels and intensity. I've given the boys Monday off; they they deserve it."
Cove Rangers manager Paul Hartley: "We had some excellent chances but just weren't clinical enough at the top end of the pitch.
"Overall, I'm pleased with the players, we had a go and we really went for it. I'm disappointed to be out the cup but not disappointed by how we played.
"We have to move onto the league now as we've got 14 games to try and do something."

The Sons hosted Highland side Cove Rangers in the penultimate home match of our League One campaign this afternoon
Gaffer Stevie Farrell made eight changes from the side’s incredible 6–0 win away to Kelty Hearts last weekend
with the boss spreading out game time for the squad as a reward for their loyalty during the administration period
Today’s visitors headed south looking to consolidate their position in the play-offs and do what they could to delay Arbroath’s title win for another week
there was a minute’s applause for former director John Kane
which was impeccably observed by both sets of supporters
and both sides exchanged attacks in the opening stages
though neither goalkeeper was tested early on
The first real chance of the match fell to the Sons
Good work down the left flank from Greig Young ended with his cross finding Craig McGuffie
but the winger’s curling effort drifted just past the far post
the visitors took the lead when a Fraser Fyvie cross found Dylan Lobban unmarked in the six-yard box
Cove doubled their advantage shortly after
with captain Fyvie beating Sliwinski from distance via a deflection
The Sons pushed to get back into the match but went into the break trailing by two goals
Sena Niang picked out Kristian Webster in the box
and the loanee defender pulled one back right at the start of the half
We came close through Hilton and Webster again before the hour mark
Lobban cut inside and finished well on the counter to restore their two-goal cushion
We made several changes and pushed forward late on
Post match Stevie Farrell touched on the amount of changes
stating that the players still turned up despite already being relegated and despite the uncertainty over wages and contracts and all deserved game time due to their loyalty
He said: We’re a club in administration
we wouldn’t be making all these changes
that are thinking every month that their wages are going to be paid
you’ve got to make sure that you play guys that turn up every week to training
“We’ve kept everybody together and everybody feels part of it.”
On the game itself the gaffer felt bad decisions cost the side in the first half but felt the team improved in the second but just lacked a clinical edge
He praised young loanee Kristian Webster on his first senior goal and his progression since moving to right back from centre half
He said: “I think he’s looking like a very good player as a two
“Delighted for his first senior goal
it’s always a big moment for a young player
Stevie and his side head up to Montrose on Saturday before the final home fixture against Annan the following week
Dumbarton make the journey north tomorrow to take on Cove Rangers [kick-off 3:00pm]
When Sons travelled to the Balmoral Stadium in August
a last-minute header from Mark Durnan earned the visitors a point as he cancelled out Adam Emslie’s opener
It was a different story at the Rock in November
with Cove recording a comfortable 3-0 victory thanks to three second-half goals
Tomorrow’s opponents have gone five league games unbeaten to keep up the pressure on leaders Arbroath whilst Dumbarton are searching for their first three points of 2025 after another narrow defeat last weekend to Montrose
Boss Stevie Farrell revealed that he will give players a chance to get minutes in the coming weeks and hopes his players soon get what they deserve
he said: “I thought a draw would have been a fair result
it was a really good game between two decent sides and we’ve proved we are a decent side
“I feel for the boys because it is tough for them
Sometimes you get times in life when it just doesn’t go your way and it’s just not going our way this season
“I’m going to use the squad throughout the rest of the season
I owe it to the players because they are giving me and the club everything so I’m not allowing anymore for them just to turn up every week and sit on the bench week in week out
“Everybody will play and we’ll make subs with that in mind and give them game time and enjoy some of their Saturday afternoon
“We know we’re good enough to take points from teams in this division and we just need to keep switched on and get those wee breaks we haven’t been getting
We’re still looking to finish the season on a high.”
Matty Sheils and James Hilton are all unavailable for selection

Dumbarton return to the Marbill Coaches Stadium tomorrow afternoon for their penultimate home match of the 2024/25 season as Cove Rangers are the visitors [kick-off 3:00pm]
Sons are unbeaten in four having won their last two matches
a 3-2 win against Alloa Athletic a fortnight ago before a stunning 6-0 win at Kelty Hearts last weekend
Paul Hartley’s side are winless in their last four games which has allowed Arbroath to take steps towards sealing the title
which could be wrapped up at Ochilview tomorrow evening.
boss Stevie Farrell admits that last weeks result was one he felt was coming and is pleased to have had something to cheer about in recent weeks
He told the clubs website: “Last weeks performance was sensational and has to go in the bracket of one of best performances in my time with the club
“It wasn’t a complete surprise – I feel we have been threatening a result like that for a while and it was one of those days where everything comes off for you.
“We scored some fantastic goals and it’s a high moment in what has obviously been a difficult season
“We’re on a great run and we want to keep that going back at our place tomorrow
We’ve put in some brilliant performances away from home but we want to do that on our own patch to properly thank our supporters for their unbelievable backing this season.”

but it wasn't until now that its significance was fully understood
As well as being quill-covered mammals that lay leathery eggs
it now seems that these land-living animals evolved from water-dwelling ancestors.
Until now, it was presumed that echidnas are descended from a land-bound ancestor, but a new study published in PNAS suggests a different story.
Kryorycytes cadburyi was an ancient egg-laying mammal
that lived around 108 million years ago in what is now southern Victoria
It is known only from a single chocolate-coloured upper arm bone (which explains the name cadburyi)
dug up at Dinosaur Cove on the south coast of the state in the 1990s
Researchers from the University of New South Wales used powerful scanning techniques to study the bone’s internal structure, only to find that it was more platypus- than echidna-like.
which are the only two living species of egg-laying mammal
Echidna bones have thinner walls with bigger bone marrow cavities
whilst platypus bones have thicker walls with smaller bone marrow cavities
The comparatively heavy platypus bones are thought to act like ballast
which helps the animal when it is diving for food.
The results of the new study suggest that the early ancestors of echidnas and platypuses were semi-aquatic
where their bones became lighter as they adapted to a new way of life
There are around thirty instances of aquatic or semi-aquatic mammals that evolved from land-dwelling ancestors
But it’s very unusual for mammals to evolve in the opposite direction.
“We’re talking about a semiaquatic mammal that gave up the water for a terrestrial existence
and while that would be an extremely rare event
we think that’s what happened with echidnas,” says palaeontologist Suzanne Hand
Modern echidnas also have other oddities which may pay point to a watery past.
much like those of the platypus which are used as rudders when swimming
something not seen in other mammals except platypuses,” says Hand.
Echidnas also have a diving reflex that is triggered when they are under water, and which helps them to hold their breath and conserve oxygen, and a particular version of a respiratory protein called myoglobin
which has been linked to an aquatic lifestyle
So just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder
the echidna doesn’t fail to disappoint.

Dumbarton are back at the Marbill Coaches Stadium tomorrow afternoon as they welcome League One leaders Cove Rangers to the Rock [please note the earlier kick-off time of 2:00pm]
Sons picked up their first three points of the season at Arbroath a fortnight ago and backed that up with a victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle last weekend
Tomorrow’s visitors currently sit on top of the league table in a tightly packed division with a win for Dumbarton taking them just two points behind Paul Hartley’s side
The Toonsers have been in impressive form in the last three weeks themselves
recording 2-0 victories against Alloa Athletic
Queen of the South and Montrose to propel them to the summit
The sides have met once this season with an added-time header from Mark Durnan earning Sons a point at the Balmoral Stadium on match day 3
Boss Stevie Farrell knows the challenge his troops face tomorrow but hopes their recent performances at both ends of the park can give them plenty of encouragement
he said: “We were excellent from start to finish last week and the only disappointing thing in the whole day was the goal we conceded from the corner
“The performance going up the pitch and our structure was very good
As a Dumbarton fan it must be magnificent to watch because we look a goal threat and we’re scoring goals
“In the early part of the season we worked on how good we were going forward but over the last two or three weeks we’ve been looking for that balance on the training pitch
We’ve had two brilliant results to put us back in the pack
“Cove have proved what a few good results in a row can do for you as this division is so competitive with every team taking points from each other and we will need to show all of the same qualities we have shown in recent weeks
we have a great chance of a successful outcome.”
The Sons manager will be without Carlo Pignatiello who required stitches in his foot following last weeks win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle
tomorrow’s match kicks off at the earlier time of 2:00pm
Dumbarton Football Club can confirm the kick-off time of the upcoming fixture with Cove Rangers has been moved an hour earlier
The League One clash will now kick-off at 2:00pm at the Marbill Coaches Stadium on Saturday
The moves come in a bid to reduce the clubs carbon footprint with usage of floodlights creating a considerable consumption of energy
The earlier kick-off also reduces the amount of time spent travelling home in darkness by visiting supporters
officials and players and allow everyone in attendance more time to spend on a Saturday evening with friends and family
This is the second time the club have moved a fixture an hour earlier with a 2-1 home victory over Stranraer also moved to a 2:00pm kick-off
This is a special update regarding Baxter’s progress on Facilities and Infrastructure following the impact of Hurricane Helene on our North Cove
the final update we anticipate publishing to this page will be upon removal of allocations for key product groups
which is one of the critical recovery milestones we are tracking
Customers will continue to receive specific updates on allocation increases and guidance primarily from their local Baxter representatives
Baxter’s North Cove manufacturing site was significantly impacted by the rain and storm surge from Hurricane Helene
which was unprecedented in Western North Carolina and resulted in water flooding the facility.
Supporting our employees in the impacted communities
bringing the North Cove facility back online and helping to ensure ongoing supply to patients are our top priorities.
Below is an update on Facilities and Infrastructure:
We continue to make strong progress at North Cove as we advance sitewide recovery and inventory replenishment
28 announcement that all 10 of the site’s manufacturing lines had restarted
we have now returned to pre-hurricane production levels
This is a critical milestone in our recovery as we continue to work to replenish inventory and support our customers’ and patients’ needs
While we continue to increase allocation levels across key impacted product groups
and we will continue to provide related updates for our customers directly
This achievement was made possible by the dedication and resilience of the North Cove and broader Baxter teams
