Dumbarton travel to New Central Park tomorrow
looking to make it four games unbeaten when they take on Kelty Hearts [kick-off 3:00pm]
Sons picked up their first win of 2025 last week with a dramatic win at Alloa thanks to Michael Ruth
Craig McGuffie and a last gasp header from Mark Durnan
It was Dumbarton’s third game without defeat as the victory followed up draws with Arbroath and Queen of the South in previous outings whilst it’s been a different story for Kelty who haven’t picked up a win in their last five to find themselves four points above the relegation play-off zone heading into the final five games of the season
but boss Stevie Farrell is keen to see the good form continue as he targets a positive end to the campaign
he said: “I’m so pleased and proud of the players after last week
Their attitude throughout the most difficult season of their lives has been spot on and we hadn’t been getting the points we deserve until the last few weeks
“It was a great moment for all of us – the coaching staff
Even last week things went against us with the late equaliser but it speaks volumes that the players didn’t let that phase them on and went on to get a winner
“There’s still five games to go and we’ve got every intention of going on and continuing this run of form we are on.
“We’ve picked up points against three teams in the top half of the table that are chasing titles and play-off spots in the last few weeks but tomorrow brings a different challenge
We know what to expect from Kelty and they will be looking to get the ball down play on a big surface but we’re hoping that can suit us as well and it’s a challenge we are looking forward to.”
