Spooked locals claim lawless young teams are running riot in North Lanarkshire, where a schoolboy was knifed in Moodiesburn last week by a masked mob. It comes as chilling images from the areas show boozed-up rival young teams posing with a terrifying arsenal of weapons, including machetes and axes. Armed gangs have left frightened residents too scared to leave their homes at night — amid fears someone will be killed. Terrified townsfolk are urging cops to crack down on the booze-fuelled yobs who have flaunted their array of deadly weapons on social media. One chilling picture showed thugs — some in surgical gloves — lurking in an alley brandishing machetes, metal bars, a hammer and baton. In another snap, 20 masked louts from the “Carbrain Fleeto” pose in an underpass with axes, knives and a spiked baseball bat. It is understood rival gangs from Cumbernauld, Moodiesburn, Chryston and Croy, in Lanarkshire, are embroiled in the feuds. On Friday night, masked yobs aged between 12 and 20 knifed a boy of 13 near shops in Moodiesburn. The lad was rushed to hospital following the savage attack on Friday — and police are still hunting the attackers. She said: “My first job was to clean up after a guy had fallen through a factory roof. It’s thought he had been up on the roof looking for lead but the roof was covered in snow and he went through the skylight. “It was about a week before his body was discovered. Obviously the body was long gone before I got there but you could tell exactly where he had been lying. “I don’t condone stealing but it happened just a few weeks before Christmas and I couldn’t help but imagine that perhaps he had six children at home and had been trying to get money for their presents.” Despite her sadness, Marie got on with the job she had to do and was glad to realise how good she was at it. Days later, she was called to clean up a flat where the body of a drug addict had lain undiscovered for three weeks before being found. She said: “There was blood everywhere. Because he had been lying so long, there were lots of bluebottles. You need a strong stomach but you have to see past that grim side of things. “We never forget this was someone’s life and they deserve dignity and respect.” Marie and her team, from Moodiesburn, Lanarkshire, always like to find a photo of the person who has passed away. She said: “When we go on a job, we always know how tragically that person’s life has ended but then we might see a picture of them taken maybe 10 years before, perhaps on holiday or holding a baby and looking really happy and healthy. It’s sad how their lives may have spiralled.” A scene from the Channel 5 series Crime Scene Investigation‌Lesley, 46, who was at school with Marie, has her own way of paying her respects. She said: “It’s someone’s son or daughter. I like to light a candle for the dead person to show them that, even though we are touching all their belongings and we are strangers, we do respect them.” The team’s jobs vary from cleaning the inside of a car after a serious accident to shovelling up sewage after a flood of contaminated water or a burst pipe. Rhiannon, mum to Aaron, five, worked in childcare for six years and trained to be a beauty therapist before being persuaded by her mum to join the firm. She said: “It’s quite a leap from spray tan. I started off as a regular cleaner – cleaning offices – and hated it. “Doing a more unusual type of job is better. Although if I’m on a night out, I might lie about what I do. “I got upset after the first job I did cleaning up after a death because the family of the person were so devastated. I cried for three days.” Lesley added: “You can see the person’s last minutes. You can figure out where they were sitting and what they were doing before it happened. The family don’t see that and you don’t want them to see that.” Marie said: “There was a body in the bath job which was sad because the clothes she had taken off before stepping in the bath were in a pile just at the side. “There was a glass of rosé, her name badge from work and all these pills.” Marie’s team kit themselves out in specialist clothing to protect themselves from the blood, hazardous objects and dangerous germs they deal with every day. The needle gloves they wear cost £300 a pair. Marie said: “We have done everything from cleaning a bus after someone with the norovirus had taken ill on it to doing sweeps of stolen cars that have been recovered in case the thief has left needles down the seats. “For me, the saddest jobs are often the hoarders. The first thing I think is, ‘I need to help them get this place clean so they can get some kind of quality of life back.’ “We did a really sad job where an old lady hoarder had died and her family had no idea she was living like that. “She had no electricity, no running water, there was a leak in her roof – but she obviously didn’t want anyone coming in to fix things. “Her family had no clue as she always met them away from the house.” For the past year, the team have allowed TV cameras to follow them at their work for a BBC Scotland documentary. Lesley said: “We want people to think that if they see someone’s curtains have been closed for a while, could they see if they are all right? “Your neighbour could lie there for six weeks and you wouldn’t know.” Grime Scene Queens is on BBC One Scotland on Wednesday at 10.40pm. Head on over and give us a like and share! hacked her victim’s social media accounts and posted slurs about his wife during her crazed four-month obsession A POLICE officer turned stalker who became “fixated” with a married man has been jailed for almost a year developed an obsession with Kevin O’Connor who is married to her former friend and pretended to be him in messages to pals about his “unhappy marriage” She changed his relationship status on Facebook to “single” and posted an offensive comment about his wife Rhona on his Twitter account Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Boyd even got a pal to tell cops they were responsible for the Twitter post in a twisted attempt to dodge blame The former cop Lanarkshire pled guilty to “engaging in a course of conduct which cased Rhona and Kevin O’Connor fear and alarm” by stalking She also admitted a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice But the disgraced cop had told a "tissue of lies" during the trial. Sheriff Paul Crozier blasted the “evil and calculated” act of destruction. He added: “Your conduct throughout this whole sorry episode has been destructive, self-serving and manipulative.” The sheriff said she had lied until a second background report was compiled, claiming she had been in an intimate relationship with Mr O’Connor but later accepted that was untrue. At an earlier court date it was heard there was “absolutely no romantic or sexual relationship” between Mr O’Connor and Boyd. Procurator fiscal depute Andrew Beadsworth added: “Boyd appears to have become fixated upon Kevin O’Connor.” Speaking outside after the sentencing, Mrs O’Connor said: “I am relieved, I actually can’t believe it. “It has been an absolute nightmare, my health suffered, I have been ill constantly. “This is punishment, we will be able to move on.” Mr and Mrs O’Connor were on holiday abroad in June last year when his sister text him to say his Facebook page had been changed to say he was single. He also received a text from a colleague saying she had a “strange” conversation on Facebook messenger. The woman claimed Mr O’Connor told her he was unhappy in his marriage and asked if it was him she had been speaking to. An offensive tweet with slurs including “wouldn’t want to go near that” and the hashtag “wife” was also posted. Cops later traced the IP address used to access the social media accounts to Boyd’s mobile number. Defence lawyer Lene Doherty earlier told the court her client wrongly interpreted mixed messages from Mr O’Connor which promoted her to carry out the Facebook activity. Miss Doherty said: “She’s embarrassed and ashamed.” A five year non-harassment order to protect the O’Connors was also granted.
