LOVE Island's Liberty Poole slammed people who body shamed her while on holiday
Liberty, 25, has been enjoying a sunny Mexican holiday with new boyfriend Joshua Raybould and has been sharing plenty of snaps of their time together
But the tone of her social media posts changed recently when she clapped back at people who told her to lose weight in the comments
Liberty shared a series of sexy bikini snaps where she declared "every body is a beach body" and told her fans to be proud of themselves
"Just wanted to respond to the recent body shaming on social media by being happy and positive and sending the message that every body is a beach body
and have fun on your holidays because no one’s gonna remember what your body once looked like in years or even days to come x," she wrote
Liberty posted a video of her standing sideways in front of a mirror to show off her body and during it
Joshua comes over to playfully give her a pat on the bum
Liberty captioned the video: "This is my normal size 10-12 body. Yes I don't have a super flat stomach but it doesn't matter.
"Every body is different, I've always been a bit curvier and I shouldn't be body shamed for it."
Other people agreed with Liberty in the comment section of the Instagram post.
Another added: "You tell them girl."
And a third commented: "Looking gorgeous Lib."
Liberty's stand for herself comes after she revealed a heartbreaking health battle
Speaking in a video shared on TikTok
"It's the first time I've ever gone through severe depression in my life."
She explained it was a tough thing to go through and how her faith helped her through it

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — In recent years
scientists and healthcare providers have begun to recognize a crucial truth about health and nutrition: one-size-fits-all dietary advice doesn’t work for everyone.adButlerLazyLoad("2173811202078207120",100,["728510","728510","728510"],"177036");
As research into the human microbiome—the vast ecosystem of trillions of bacteria living in and on our bodies—has grown
so too has the realization that these microscopic communities may hold the key to understanding how and why people respond differently to the same foods
The Precision Nutrition New York (PNNY) Study
Angela Poole and her team at Cornell University
aims to unravel these complexities by taking a closer look at one dietary component known to support long-term health: fiber
Dietary fiber is widely recognized as essential for digestive health
and reducing the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease
studies have shown inconsistent results when it comes to the type of fiber and how it affects different individuals
This inconsistency has sparked a growing interest in precision nutrition
a field that seeks to understand how individual biological factors—like your gut microbiome—can influence the way your body responds to specific foods
is a 12-week dietary intervention designed to explore the role of dietary fiber in shaping the human gut microbiome
Participants will follow two different fiber-rich eating plans—one that emphasizes whole grains and another that emphasizes fruits and vegetables
These interventions will be spaced with a baseline week
giving researchers the opportunity to analyze how changes in diet impact each participant’s unique microbial ecosystem.adButlerLazyLoad("1603227830987425500",100,["728510","728510","728510"],"177036");
participants will submit stool samples (using collection kits provided by the study team)
receive a supply of fiber-rich foods and sample recipes
and attend 4 short in-person nutrition coaching sessions
Participants will also provide saliva samples
and complete short online surveys throughout the study
and materials will be provided by the research team to make participation easy and convenient
The PNNY Study is at the forefront of this movement
Its primary goal is to determine whether increasing dietary fiber through whole grains or through fruits and vegetables produces different effects on the gut microbiome and metabolic health—and more importantly
whether certain individuals benefit more from one source of fiber over the other
Over a carefully structured 12-week period
participants will switch between eating plans that emphasize either whole grains or fruits and vegetables
The research team will collect and analyze stool and saliva samples
with a particular focus on the composition and diversity of gut bacteria
The study also incorporates personal coaching sessions and survey assessments to explore behavioral factors—such as motivation and adherence—that influence the success of dietary changes.adButlerLazyLoad("66956936759394696",100,["728510","728510","728510"],"177036");
This research goes far beyond simply asking “Is fiber good for you?” Instead
it poses a more advanced question: “Which kinds of fiber are best for which kinds of people?” The answer could have far-reaching implications—not just for individual participants
but for the future of nutritional science and healthcare
By understanding how specific fibers interact with specific microbiomes
researchers can begin to build more tailored
effective dietary guidelines that account for individual differences
the findings from the PNNY Study will contribute to a growing body of evidence supporting precision nutrition
with the potential to inform future policies
This could lead to a future where diet recommendations are as personalized as prescriptions
helping people eat in ways that are truly right for their bodies
the PNNY Study isn’t just looking at what people eat—it’s helping redefine how we think about food and health in the 21st century.adButlerLazyLoad("358212214881227740",100,["728510","728510","728510"],"177036");

The Poole Lab at Cornell University is currently recruiting participants for an exciting 12-week dietary research study
The Precision Nutrition New York (PNNY) Study investigates how dietary fiber affects the gut microbiome and overall health
Participants will follow guided dietary patterns
This study aims to uncover how individual differences in gut bacteria influence the way our bodies respond to different types of fiber-rich foods
To be eligible for participation in this health and nutrition study
individuals must be 21 years of age or older and have a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 30
which can be verified using the CDC’s BMI calculator
Participants should be willing and able to have their height
as well as provide both saliva and stool samples
They will be expected to record their dietary intake
and increase their fiber intake according to the study protocol

WATCH: Budget 2024: National Insurance threat as top economist outlines ‘serious concern’ for small businesses
One of Britain's oldest department stores is holding a "Rachel Reeves closing down sale" before it closes for good
will shut its doors at the end of May after more than 140 years of trading - and chief executive Tony Brown has directly blamed Rachel Reeves's slew of tax raids for the move
Posters featuring the Chancellor have been pasted across Beales shopfronts with the tagline: "Rachel Reeves' closing down sale
Brown said Labour's hikes on National Insurance costs and the minimum wage implemented on April 1
combined with the reduction in rates relief
Posters featuring the Chancellor have been pasted across Beales shopfronts
These changes have made the business "unviable"
He warned that if Reeves continues her fiscal strategy
many more businesses would be forced to close - and high streets will consist only of "cafes and vape shops" within five years
He called the posters a "poke in the ribs" for the Government on behalf of the retail industry
"Ever since the punitive business taxes heaped on by the Chancellor
the two NI increases and the National Minimum wage increase and the reduction of the rates relief to 40 per cent adding significantly to our costs
these punitive taxes have had the effect that the business has become unviable," Brown fumed
He also criticised the Government for being "manipulative" with its manifesto commitment "not to increase taxes on working people"
MORE AS LABOUR'S TAX HIKES CRIPPLE BUSINESSES:
Tony Brown called the posters a 'poke in the ribs' for the Government on behalf of the retail industry
"I consider myself a working person..
People who run businesses are working people," he added
"It was manipulative of the Government to give the impression that all the increases in costs to businesses would not impact working people."
Beales was founded in Bournemouth in 1881 and expanded to branches across the country
the department store chain has struggled with high rents
The company went into administration in January 2020
with most of its 22 branches closing in March that year as the Covid pandemic cut short clearance sales

said: "We're very sorry to see Beales go after so many years here
"Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the store's closure
and we'll do everything we can to support former Beales employees to find employment elsewhere
"We're alarmed to see this happening to lots of retail businesses because of the new budget and National Insurance increase."
Labour has consistently defended the Chancellor's October Budget
Ministers maintain these tax changes are necessary to address a so-called £22billion "black hole" in the public finances
The only pair of breeding ospreys in southern England has laid four eggs at their nest near Poole Harbour for the second year running
settled at Carey’s Secret Garden in 2022 following a reintroduction programme launched in 2017 by Birds of Poole Harbour and the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation
The long-term aim of the project is to re-establish a breeding osprey population on the south coast after the species became extinct in southern England over 180 years ago
The four eggs were laid between 13 and 22 April and are expected to begin hatching later this month
with the male also responsible for hunting during this period
Public interest has grown due to the live-streamed nest cameras which allow people to follow the ospreys in real time
said: “The team at Birds of Poole Harbour are delighted to see CJ7 lay four eggs for the second time
This nest is so important for the recolonisation of this special species on the south coast
and every chick that fledges from the nest is a reason to celebrate
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds.”
The Ham Common nature reserve, managed by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council
has become a popular spot for wildlife watchers and offers views of the ospreys and other rare species
Guided osprey tours are available via Birds of Poole Harbour and Carey’s Secret Garden websites
with strict protections in place to avoid disturbing the birds

Poole town is celebrating the landmark anniversaries of both Dunkirk and Victory in Europe (VE) Day
‘Dunkirk 1940: Our People’s Stories’ is a month-long commemoration and celebration of Poole’s vital role in the Dunkirk evacuation
The town-wide tribute will include several exhibitions and events
which are free for the community to enjoy:
Poole BID are also inviting local business owners to participate in a patriotic VE Day store window display competition
“When people talk about the Dunkirk spirit
they need to look at Poole,” said Jack Hawkins
trustee and committee member of Poole Maritime Trust
“This is probably the biggest exhibition that we’ve ever undertaken
Our research has shown that the stories of Poole and its people have never really been told
but nothing has ever been pulled together and presented in one exhibition before
“My main hope is that the exhibition will go down for posterity
so that we can keep it as a part of Poole’s history and heritage.”
said: “It’s important for us all to remember the brave people of Poole and celebrate their contribution to our local and national history
“We’re pleased to offer a prominent space for this important exhibition at The Dolphin and play a part in connecting the community with their history.”
The exhibition and its supporting events are facilitated by Poole Maritime Trust
and National Trust Brownsea Island to commemorate this poignant time in Poole’s history
