Shanklin Football Club hosted the launch of the ‘Out Of The Blue’ peer support group charity
Mr Graham presented representatives from the football club with special plaques
and the High Sheriff cut a special ‘Out Of The Blue’ cake
with the club having long-standing links with the uniformed organisations on the Island

He noted that comments and suggestions from the meeting will be collated and published soon

Crews from Ryde and Shanklin received certificates of appreciation and pin badges from Isle of Wight Ambulance Service (IWAS) on 3rd February
for the fantastic work they do offering cardiac response on the Island
Firefighters on the Island have been working in partnership with IWAS since December 2022
They have since attended 385 cardiac incidents and have achieved return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) 12 times
“I’m incredibly proud to support the cardiac arrest scheme here on the Island
“Every firefighter who attends our patients really does make such a difference

Shanklin Town Council is hosting a town meeting for residents at Shanklin Theatre on Tuesday
to introduce the rationale for the three Bay Councils producing a plan for the whole Bay Area and explain how residents can become involved in steering the direction of regeneration
and for those who want to be directly involved the opportunities to become members of working groups and the mechanisms for volunteering
The plan is now approved and is starting to be implemented
“We will start with two serious blights on the Shanklin economy
the ongoing closure of the A3055 (Leeson Road) and flooding in centre of Shanklin
for which updates will be provided at the meeting.”
There will be presentations on what is happening regarding the closure of the A3055 (Leeson Road) and other projects around the Town
At the end of the presentations the local IOW Councillors for Shanklin and Ventnor
the Lake Vice Chair and other local Councillors will be present
together with IOW Council Officers and a representative of the Environment Agency
all available to discuss issues and try to answer questions over complimentary tea or coffee
The Theatre will be open from 6pm for 6.30pm start
